With an old diner vibe, this spot is spacious with two dining spaces. We heard much about the breakfast but only made it in during lunch hour. Nevertheless, our Catfish sandwich, Club sandwich and Rancher burger were all on point. They each come with fries, which were crunchy and satisfying. The friendliness of the staff made our brief dining experience a joy.

Had a great breakfast and a great waitress. Andrea was a dream. Food was really good, I had the 2 eggs platter and my friends had the garden breakfast wraps. After asking what a BONUT was, we decided to get some for the road. I took a bit and they are delighted. If I was staying in the area, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

One day I'll order something besides the catfish sandwich.... The catfish sandwich is what you want it to be. Nice piece of fried catfish dressed with fresh veggies and mayo and topped with a hush puppy. I ordered beans as my side. These beans are something I could at as a meal with a cornbread. So good. The decor of photos, hub caps and airplane memorabilia are a nod to the part of town it's located.

Brought two of my friends here to this fun little joint and they loved it! You're gonna have to wait in line to order but the line goes super fast and the food comes out almost as quick. We had burgers, chicken fried chicken and finished with all of the fritters. They offer three different kinds that are about the size of hush puppies so make sure you get a couple of flavors because they are all good! My favorite was the blueberry lime. It's a fun place to people watch and the waitresses work so hard and literally run out your food. Good stuff!

I have been wanting to try grill on the hill for many years and have never had the opportunity until yesterday. This place is awesome! The nostalgic atmosphere is really great. The entire restaurant is covered in OKC memories. Now onto the food which was also amazing! We were both happy with our meals and will definitely return if we are in the area.

I really liked this place. It is nothing fancy, but sometimes you want simple comfort food. They had some plant-based options which was nice as well. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes were good (not too big, not too small). The wait staff was great and the food came out pretty quick. I look forward to going back and trying mor dishes.

Extremely fast and friendly table service. All of the food is good, classic diner food - some dishes are a bit salty and most are firmly on the comfort food side of things. Usually quiet and lots of space available; has an old school feel to it.

I work on properties really close to this restaurant so I stop in VERY often. My order consists of 2 eggs over medium,biscuits and gravy and coffee. I'm a stickler on how my eggs are cooked and 100% of the time my eggs are cooked perfectly here. The cooks are doing a outstanding job, the biscuits are soft and gravy is packed with meat. Marcy usually waits on me she's awesome, works hard and makes sure she checks on me often.. I highly recommend this place for breakfast and they have awesome burgers.

Attended a group meeting there. There was coffee available for the attendees (self-serve) but nobody told us that it wasn't free. I paid almost 4 dollars for a cup of coffee I couldn't even drink. It was so bitter. I can't speak for the food as I only ordered the "bonuts", they were just okay. Staff was friendly.

Great restaurant.. really liked the place. Had the chicken fried steak called the rancher.. it was good.. not just all breading like most places. Was tender and not full of grisly pieces.. also had the Nashville chicken it was not to hot. But still had some spice with it. Both were great.. service was good and they are friendly there. You guys are making a huge mistake changing the business model to waiting tables. The previous model worked wonderfully. They ran a ton of people through through very efficiently during rush hours. The staff was amazing. If you have any wisdom you will change back. You are missing the point. Tons of people want to eat there during lunchtime, and it’s obvious from several recent reviews that slow service is a problem. I don’t see that changing with your current model. People loved how it was run before.

This place is as solid as they come. The food is great no matter what it is on the menu. The portion sizes are generous, and the price is very reasonable. The place it's self is appointed with some very nostalgic memorabilia from the local area, which are very interesting. Only complaint is sometimes when it gets busy (and boy does it get busy) the staff will mix up their orders and you could be waiting a hot minute for your food. Overall the place is great. You won't be disappointed, and you will leave satisfied.

Someone needs to remove the pepper shaker from the cook. On my eggs over easy, on the hash browns and so much in the gravy almost could not eat. This is not regular pepper this is course ground pepper. Let the customers make that choice.

Finally, there is a lot of older local and high school memorabilia on display, so the atmosphere is there if that is what you're into.

The service was fantastic, we arrived 5 till 2, not realizing that they closed at 2, but we were still waited on graciously. Very cool atmosphere with the old pics of 25th street on the wall. I got the Memphis burger with chili. And my wife got the patty melt with onion rings. Both were hot and very tasty, the onion rings were superb. This with two drinks around 25 bucks. Well worth it, I recommend this place highly.

I went here for a working lunch. The cheeseburger and fries I had were terrific. Served fresh, hot, and fast. This place was HOPPING! Expect a crowd. The place is packed most times. Leave yourself a few extra minutes to find parking. The street spots don't last long. Extra parking available in back. Just about everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked amazing. I would like to try it all! The salads looked big enough to share.

My husband loves this place. He knows all their names and they all know his name. Can't tell you how many years he and I have been going here. The menu is is varied so everyone can find something they like. Great daily specials and wonderful community atmosphere. My husband has to get his meatloaf fix at least weekly here.

I've been going to grill on the Hill now for a few years and I have yet to notice any drop in the quality of service and food. The food is fresh high quality and full of flavor!!! I will continue to come there on a consistent basis until they decide to close down or until I die which ever comes 1st. That being said I'm pretty sure my death will preceed any thoughts of their closing down anytime soon. 👍👍👍?

I really love the spicy catfish. The staff are really nice. The only thing I didn't really care for was the fritters as the ones I had were undercooked, and batter like. I would come there more often if I could, but the only day I can make it there is Friday evenings.

Great diner experience. This place is always busy. I mean really busy! The staff is friendly and there are tons of menu items you can order from. It's the quintessential American diner experience. Prices are reasonable of course :)

I love this "little" place for their hamburgers. FYI, Friday's are Hamburger day. Big burger, fries/tots, drink for one price. Little is in quotation marks because like the TARDIS it's bigger on the inside. Only open during the week for breakfast and lunch it has a large menu you can see on the wall from salads to tacos, meatloaf to chicken fry think down home cooking. Fresh cut fries and hand made onion rings. Biscuits and gravy and omelets, french toast, pancakes, sandwiches, pork chops, chicken. Seriously they do it all well. Located in the Capitol Hill area it sets among store fronts that to many who lived on Oklahoma's Southside has memories of childhood. It's vibe is old school south side high schools with pictures of the area in it's heyday. One of the front windows has a shelf where you can find yearbooks of the schools some as far back as the 40's. Politicians have used it for fund raisers and to meet constituents. A certain political party meets every Friday in one of the back rooms. Former classmates meet in large groups for lunch. The service is spot on the ladies are quick and attentive no matter how big the crowd is. Head to the register to place your order and pay. Take a seat, when your order is ready you'll hear them shout out your name, no PA here. Raise your hand and bam, there's your order. They'll even refill your drink for you. It's truly a special place and is very appreciated by those who go. My favorite is bacon cheese burger, mustard, lettuce, toma, onions and fries.

My first time eating here and I was pleasantly surprised. The menu seems to be standard American comfort foods. Reasonably priced and huge portions. It reminded me of a really good roadside diner or small town cafe. Will be back for sure.

Classic greasy spoon dinner. Great for the hard working, truck driving, American. Of course the people we're super friendly and called everyone honey or sug. My only complaint is the lack of healthy options but I think that's my own fault. Should of known. Also it doesn't seem like the cleanest place. It wasn't dirty, just had the atmosphere you would expect from a place that hasn't had an update in a while.

Very friendly and good service. Bit high on the price, especially for the burgers, as they come with no side and the quality of many of the items is subpar being prepackaged and/or canned. Salads would be great if they used real lettuces other than nearly free and nutritiounless iceberg. Breakfast, on the other hand, is excellent and more reasonably priced.

I arrived at 11:30 on a Friday and the place was packed out! In spite of this we were served relatively quickly. I had the catfish with okra and coleslaw. All was very tasty. I will definitely return, but maybe around 1:00 next time.

Here is a place you can rub elbos with other restaurant owners (I was there last week and saw 3 other restaurant owners in here)and high public figures. Thats not the reason to eat here but the food is. Big portions, easy on your wallet and great taste all in the historic settings of Old Capitol Hill. You will be very pleased you ate here and you'll want to go back often.

This restaurant used to be the old Jack and Jill clothing store for children and infants. My grandmother used to buy my brother and I clothes from there. It's in a good location in Capitol Hill.
