Love the food in this place. I've gotten food here several times during my trip here to New Orleans. The chicken wings are some of the best I've ever had. The service has been very fast and efficient, no matter what time of day I show up or how busy they are. The only downside of the place (which is a personal preference) is the volume of the music. It's so high, that I have a hard hearing everybody.

Came in to get nachos to go. The bar tender took my order and he was quick getting my order in and out. They were with a cheese sauce which was unexpected but welcomed. Topping distribution was a bit uneven leaving lots of bare chips at the bottom. Regardless I will have them again!

What can you say about a business that calls tacos and beers ? That is exactly what is served. Of course there are a few other things from Mexican cuisine, but most of the mostly young people come here for the tacos, especially on Thursdays (you Americans have your own rules with that). We had ceviche and 12 tacos and that filled us up well. What I don't like and unfortunately I often had that in New Orleans, there are plastic cups and cutlery in most restaurants! Why ?! A word about service. The girl wasn't that friendly and managed to avoid the phrase , "thanks" for the tip, impressive.

Loved their tacos! I got the quesabirria tacos and the meat seemed perfectly cooked and the sauce on the side was everything I wanted it to be. The crispy grilled chicken tacos also hit the spot! The salsa was more on the spicy side which was great. The queso was good too! The ONLY complaint I had was with the margarita. Although top shelf, the sour mix was too sugary and ‘out of the bottle’ so maybe I should have just gotten the beer. Will be coming back for the tacos though.

Delicious tacos. I had the street tacos, my husband the shrimp tacos. They were excellent. The chips and salsa were also great. Nice spot to hang out enjoy a beer, some great food, and live music…

Day 2 in a row coming here for lunch. If you don’t get here early, it will probably be busy! The food is awesome. Yesterday we had the birria tacos and I had the shrimp, then today I had the street tacos birria, carnita and chicken. I haven’t eaten the chicken one yet because I took it to go. But the carnita andbarbacoa were amazing per usual. I also had the pina colada. Also, amazing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for good flavor and different tacos.

Pretty authentic street tacos at the appropriate price. I got a chicken, birria, ground beef, and asada tacos. They were all a great taste and the closest to tacos from Texas I’ve found in Nola. Street tacos are $2.50 so appropriately priced, apparently Tuesday they’re $1. I also got a coors light, which was $4. Only took a star off because the service wasn’t great. My gf didn’t even get her water until after we got our food, also I waited about 15 mins to close out (while I had the check). I ended up going inside to close out with the bartender because they couldn’t find my server.

This is the place to go for amazing tacos and giant margaritas! My daughter ordered me a large margarita to help celebrate my dream birthday road trip. Lol Thank goodness you can take drinks to go in New Orleans. 🤣🌮 The queso and tacos were super yummy and worth the walk up from our apartment. Austin could take a cue from New Orleans when it comes to prices. Total bill, including shots and more than one martini, was cheaper than just the drinks would have been here in Texas! Props to Camren who seemed New but handled the busy evening beautifully.

The food is very delicious. I come from the Rio grande valley and I know Mexican. This is better than alot of places back home. Great price, great drinks, and extremely friendly servers. Don't Second guess coming here, just come you'll love it!

This was a WORLD STAR PLACE. We went here on date night and it was one for the book's. We arrived and it was full so we had to wait literally on the sidewalk but while we was out there it was others and we all talked about what we was going to order. Finally the waiter summoned us in and placed us at the end of the bar by the bathrooms which we was frowning. Then BAM the bartender Carlito came and took our orders and the whole experience was like flying . We ordered Jamaican Cowboys and Quesaberria tacos 🌮 and we were all in. The food was so good it was the best in the world 🌎. Then the owners came and bought us shots we were blown away we settled in like old shoes. This is a must repeat. I beg of you if you can PLEASE PLEASE GO HERE AT LEAST ONCE.

Best Quesabirrias in the United States! I am extremely impressed. The place is small and usually busy with staff working crazy fast, however the food is delicious beyond imagination. I love the concept of dollar tacos on Tuesdays. Honestly their quesabirrias alone could run the business, but I have found some other dishes lacking. The music can also be loud, but if a party feel is what you're going for, then it works. I will be coming back for those quesabirrias, but would highly appreciate more work on other good dishes.

nice & convenient spot. went on a saturday night with 2 friends and it was super packed!!! the restaurant itself isn’t huge on the inside, but there’s also som outdoor seating. overall, service was fine. food was good. only issue i had was with the tacos i ordered. i ordered 3 street style tacos (onions & cilantro on a corn tortilla with your choice of meat). i picked asada, birria, and shrimp. my shrimp taco came out with some chipotle looking sauce, cabbage, and tomatoes. i asked my waitress if i could just it it the street style way. she informed me that the shrimp is the only one made differently...but went ahead and had a shrimp one made the street style way (the way i ordered). the menu doesn’t indicate that if you get shrimp on a street style taco that it will be made differently, and i told her that. hopefully they’ll make some changes to make customers aware/ bring clarity to the way they do it. besides that, had a fine experience.

Food was AMAZING!!! The best Mexican food I've tasted. We had the birria tacos, the chicken nachos, beef burrito, chips and salsa and beef chimichunga....EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!!! Service was good and the wait was about 40 minutes I'll definitely be returning

Had the Tacos Dorados with the ground beef. Tortilla shells were crispy & held their crunch nicely. Meat was flavored well & was complimented by the cheese & sour cream. Ended up wiping the plate clean. Service was a bit slow but I only saw one waitress serving. Food took its time coming out. Waitress was doing her best & was very friendly so she deserved a little patience from all of us. Thankfully she had help from someone cleaning tables so turnaround was fast. I have been here on Taco Tuesday & it was a mad house, meaning it was very busy & crowded. People love their tacos on Tuesday. On other days, it’s nice & easy to find a table.

I ordered the Chimi Chorganga (not certain if I spelled that correctly) but it was very large and delicious. I was full for the rest of the day. The salsa was really good as well. The taco plate is a steal for $20. The manager was so nice. You see, my mom can't sit in low chairs, so he pulled two hightop tables together and offered a "VIP" barstool with a chair back. She really appreciated that after all the walking and hoping on/off the trolley.

Atmosphere was excellent.Taylor the Manger was fantastic! We were treated extremely well, while we watched the basketball final. The food we had was delicious and fair priced. Taylor even had us try his dessert that he hand in a dream. Churro fries which was to die for! Will definitely be back.

Local taco shop with a bar. Great atmosphere, usually sports on TV if there are games available. Good beer selection, the burritos and enchiladas are huge. Be ready for leftovers. And the leftovers are even better the next day. Yum

We had the entire top floor for my son's wedding rehearsal party. A buffet of T&B food including dessert, excellent! Many of our Texas guests said it was the best they'd ever had! The staff was super responsive and made it an evening to remember, a special part of the wedding weekend. New Orleans has great food; grab some creole, grab some cajun, have beignets but don't miss Tacos & Beer!

Good: The food is delicious. The appetizer chicken will leave you full before you get to the main course. Bad: The bartender that worked behind the bar 29 October (Saturday) from 6PM - 9PM was rude, took too long to acknowledge me and my friends that stood by the bar wanting to order a drink, and dump extra work on his coworker. I get that he was busy, but if someone is actively telling you that he/she wants a DRINK, don't tell him/her "you're not serving food". Pay attention to what's being said. I tried to order a drink, but he took the menu from me before I can even order my drink b/c the event I came for was upstairs. The bartender just stated that a waiter would come up to take orders and drinks......no name of the waiter or anything. I had to find the waiter that was meant for my friends upstairs.

Really great for Taco Tuesday. What a killer deal with a wide selection of choices! Make sure to show up at least an hour before closing. They used to take your number and hold your place in line, but now you have to wait in line in person, and that can take quite some time. Also, just be aware, lingua is 75 cents more currently... but totally worth it.

It’s been 3 years since I’ve been to this location because I moved to HTX. This visit was much needed! Covid-19 precautions are in place all while everyone was able to have a good time. The shrimp, fish, and grilled chicken tacos were to die for. The hostess was awesome and the wait time was damn near nonexistent. That cowboy margarita have me in the doghouse right now 🥺 but it was so yummy and I want another one right now!!!

We love the Slidell location and decided to try the down town location using a Groupon. It was 6pm on a Sunday and there was no wait. We wanted an All Natural Margarita but they were out of the Agave Nectar. Bummer. We opted for the top shelf frozen Margarita instead and oh myyyyy was is muy delicioso and Strong! We were not disappointed!! The ceviche was wonderful and so was everything else. We ordered 12 tacos in 3 styles ... Ground Beef, Chicken and Marinated Pork. Server was great and we enjoyed the atmosphere as well. If you find my review and/or my pictures helpful, please leave a thumbs up! Have a great day and go enjoy some Tacos and Beer!

Went in as they opened to grab a quick lunch before a teleconference meeting down the street. Service was prompt, helpful and friendly. The battered fish tacos were light and delicious with the perfect amount of heat in the chipotle sauce. Inexpensive, good food, plenty of space for large parties, outdoor and bar seating. Easy to access from the St Charles Streetcar and did I mention how yummy the fish tacos were? If I lived here I'd be a regular; I'll have to do with stopping in on visits to try other dishes.

Fantastic as always! One of my very favorite places in New Orleans for Taco Tuesday! $1 street tacos you just can't beat! Any meat you want. Even when they're super busy like they were today the service is amazing. The rain brought everyone inside today. There is usually extra seating outside on the front deck which is nice. There are also TVs outside. There was a 45 minute wait which was understandable given that there were no seats and a long list. I watched as the employees stayed focused with no complaints smiles on their faces and gave great speedy service. I'll be back again next Tuesday!

What a magical oasis in amidst the madness of Mardi gras! We landed here during the parades and the food was still AMAZING and so was our rocking waitress. both the grilled fish and shrimp tacos were cooked perefectly and the margs were delicious. Can't wait to go back on a chiller day! Hah

Even though I'm a local I've been having a lot of firsts this year involving dining experiences in NOLA. This was the first time I've been to Tacos and Beer on St Charles and tbh I was not disappointed at all. The hostess was very nice and seated my gf and I right away. Our waiter was also nice and also very funny and efficient. The food was excellent and so were our margaritas. I ordered the tacos (brisket, Chipotle chicken, beef tongue, and marinated beef) and also the large Chambord Frozen Margarita. We went during Happy Hour but we were charged the original price for the large margaritas which were $14 a piece. Then again they are very strong and as big as your head so not much of a complaint there. Also, for the appetizer we had the queso dip that had the seasoned meat in it ... that was absolutely delicious. My friend had the Chimi Chincon and she said she loved it. All in all it was a great experience. We went on a Monday evening so the service and atmosphere was on point.

What a great venue! Stumbled across this while riding the trolley and just happened to be on Taco Tuesday YES $1 tacos! I could tell it had to be good as there was a line waiting to get in. The wait wasn't long and definitely worth it. There were plenty of choices for tacos and the 3 I chose (steak, chicken, al pastor) were awesome. Service was great. You have to check this place out

I love this place. This was my second time coming and the Quesabirria tacos will always be my favorite!! Some of the best ones I have ever had and I have been to multiple places. The staff was incredibly friendly and told us that they were struggling with workers ahead of time. We were understanding and the workers kept on giving us chips and salsa during the wait. The food still came out REALLY tasty and was completely worth it!

I've been here before and will be back. The food is always good, the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. I am leaving a review tonight because our server, Angel, was one of only two servers tonight (Labor Day) and they both went above and beyond to make sure that everyone there was well taken care of. I wish I had gotten the name of the other server. Angel, you rock!

The food was pretty good. I had the street tacos, which were okay, but what I really liked was the Choriqueso dip! It was very good. I gave three stars because not only were the tacos just average, but the service was downright bad. It took forever to get someone to even take my order, and once I did, it was a challenge to get anyone to refresh my drink or even get my tab at the end. The staff seemed to preoccupied doing shots with each other instead of helping customers.

Wow, the fish & shrimp tacos here are wonderful! Cool, relaxed local place on St. Charles. A great beer selection and the food is very fresh and tasty. Friendly staff, quick service. You can sit outside on the balcony if it's warm enough (which in December it is!). Also if you like the spices, there are plenty to get your taste buds working overtime!

Omg - can't wait to go back. There were four of us and we all decided to share food. All five things we picked was delicious. The flavors on all the food was different but delicious. My favorite was the seafood soup, so many layers of flavor, and a tad bit spicy. Service was polite and efficient. Great price for the food too.

I think that since they are open to having any age croud there they should not allow tables to get overly rambunctious... there was a table that was spewing profanities and super loud more than any restaurant I've ever been to and it was obnoxious and very uncomfortable and I know that everyone around me feel the same way and to top it off they were young ladies or shall I say young girls.

I had high hopes because of the number of people there after 1:30, figured they knew about the place. I started with the guacamole - I wanted more but held out for my lumch. My dining partner ordered the beef quesadilla and I ordered three enchiladas. They simply were not my idea of enchiladas and after watching what was s going on in the kitchen from my table, I was put off by watching one of our plates being placed on top on a lidded garbage can for a short while something else was being retrieved. We also asked twice on 2 occasions for something to be brought to the table. It wasn't the perfect experience, but the food was tasty-thankfully my friend gave me a piece of his quesadilla - delicious!

They were severely understaffed when we arrived. We had to wait for 15 minutes or so before being seated. However with all of the issues the food was excellent! It was one of the best taco meals I’ve had. They were out of a couple of things but their cheese dip and salsa were excellent. The cheese dip an excellent blend of cheese and jalapeños. The salsa was Smokey with generous amounts of onion, tomato, and cilantro. I highly recommend it.

Not only the best tacos but the best food in New Orleans on our trip. The service was slow at first due to Mardi Gras. Once we had placed our drink order everything was great. We were able to get a table after the parade had started. Amazing location for Mardi Gras.

The only reason I am giving it a three was because the hostess was amazing! She was dealing with seating people, to go orders and helping behind the bar. I waited over twenty minutes for my check and she noticed and grabbed us go boxes and our check. Y'all are truly blessed to have her. I went in trying to have relaxing lunch and couldn't even hear my husband. The best food we had was the Guc and salsa.

It was a great joint we found via Google. And it did not disappoint. The inside is a noisy happy sports bar decor and the outside is Pinterest aesthetic. In a city full of po boys and every kind of fried meat, this place had the juciest yummiest veggie burrito and french fries that make you moan like Sally in When Harry met Sally.

Waiter was a bit intimidating (seemed to think I was underage, I'm 27), and got a bit annoyed when I couldn't pronounce Modelo (thought he said Miguelo, I'm from Norway so never heard of it), but then he gave me a free bottled beer when they didn't have my choice on tap which made up for it. Food was ok, prices good for the good amount of food you get! Had a big ass burrito, and it was truly big.

Our tour guide recommended this place so went during a weekday and it was packed. Really busy inside and outdoor, and seemed they were understaffed. Was able to get a seat quickly, took a while to be served, was a little annoyed that although we were there longer the table beside us was served first. The food came out together and hot, overall delicious.

The location and the food are good, definitely something ti try it out if you are in the area. The issue that I have is the service, it took about 20+ minutes until someone came to our table to ask about our drinks. (We had to call them to get some help and even then it took about 5 mins before she came) and the restaurant was not even a half capacity. Drinks and food took a while after we ordered. I had a better experience at the bar my first time there. I would give 4.0 🌟 on the food and 2.0 🌟 on the service.

I love coming here on Taco Tuesday, since the tacos are only $1 and are very delicious. Last time I went was not very good. This place is insanely busy on Tuesdays, so we went inside to try and get on the wait list and we're rudely told to "just go wait outside" and they didn't take any information. So my party of 3 goes outside to wait, and no staff comes outside for almost 20 min to try and seat anyone, and ended up taking a larger party who were about 5th in line, not the next waiting party who confined to wait for about 15 more minutes. I had a waited close to an hour, outside, for half cold soggy tacos. If you want the $1 taco Tuesday, come before 4 because the wait does not justify the cheap price.

Service was not very good. Waited for service quite a long time. They seemed a bit short staffed even though it wasnt very busy. Al pastor had very little flavor. Suadero and carne asada were both dry. Carnitas were ok. Slidell location is superior by far in both quality of food and friendly service.

My partner and I were in town for the TOOL concert at the smoothie king center and were looking for something to grab for dinner before the show that eas reasonably priced and close. Found this place on maps and decided to try it out. Very glad we did. Our food was great and the young guy that waited on us was super friendly and very helpful. We both order a glass of the knarly barley juicifer but they were out. He and the bartender immediately started giving us similar options to try in place which landed us on a beer that we actually liked better, the grapefruit ipa by holy roller. I had 3 of the street tacos with pastor and..it was a good decision. There Pork pastor was so very good. My partner had their new Crispy brisket tacos also very good. Over all we were very happy with this place and will be swinging by any time we are in the area.

We were skeptical to try tacos on a Tuesday in New Orleans but saw the ratings and it was on our walk back to the hotel from the brewery so we said why not. Got there and there was a line...must be good...coming back from Mexico last month you gotta impress me...let me say...they had modelo and great tacos...we tried them all, asada, carnitas, AL pastor, pollo and chorizo...did I mention the best part? $1 on Tuesdays!!! No wonder they call the place "Tacos & Beer" - that is definitely their forte. Margaritas were *meh*, so as long as you stick to simple bebidas, you will really enjoy your meal!

Jump on the street car and come on down. Outdoor seating is also great for viewing scenery up and down St. Charles. On Taco Tuesday the restaurant is packed.

In the cooler months of NOLA, I assume the deck would be amazing. Plenty of TVs as well to enjoy Saints games on Sundays inside. Came here with my husband and sat outside, we ordered drinks, but they took a minute to come, our server seemed blah. We got the fish and shrimp tacos. Time to leave and I leave my husband to sign the check, he gave me the receipt tip on it, visable. A couple days later, I see the transaction but not for the amount on my receipt, apparently my server didn't like her tip so she adjusted it but $10(my husband tipped her $7 due to the service). Lucky I was able to come back get the issue resolved by Taylor, the manager, and we've been back twice so far and had a great time!! Definitely worth checking out!!! They also host events upstairs.

Ceviche & street tacos were off the chain (beware the chipotle chicken tho, straight fire). But our server, plenty friendly enough, was overwhelmed. And our tab included an upcharge that wasn't on the menu. Manager on duty claimed it was a typo - on all the menus?? Ok then have the servers explain that when the order is placed. Other upcharges were clear on the menu.. Bottom line, you charge what's on your menu!

I am from Austin, so I eat a LOT of Mexican food on a regular basis, so for me to try Mexican food in New Orleans and find that it's awesome, says something. No place it perfect, but this pretty amazing. The chips & queso were delicious, my friend loved her Taquitos and it wasn't just my enchiladas that were wonderful, the beans & rice were too! Good to try, but probably won't return. The Slidell Taco's & Beer is far superior in terms of food quality -- visit that location for excellent cuisine. Below are some pros and cons of this location: NOLA Tacos & Beer: Pros ✓ - Excellent location, and good patio area - Good array of drinks and specials (Paloma) - Great place if you want to just drink, or eat to sober up after a night of bar-hopping Cons X - No free chips & dip. That's usually a red flag for a quality Mexican restaurant. $2.50 for what is usually free - Large upcharge for drink substitute. For example, a Paloma is infinitely better with Mezcal instead of Tequila. Usually the upcharge is around $1, $2 at most. Here, it was $3 - Quality of food is lower. Especially for the in-house made flan. The difference between the infinitely better Slidell T&B flan and the so-so NOLA T&B flan is striking All in all, good to try if you're in the area. But There are multiple T&B locations, so try those.

I went here off of a suggestion from my Lyft driver and it was a great recommendation. It is what you expect, tacos (and some other tex-mex items) and beer. The street tacos they make have a bunch of good meats and it is all well priced. I recommend the lengua and the Al pastor as meats.

Went for lunch. Got chips and guac to start and was recommended the carne asada platter. It was amazing. So delicious and tender didn't need a knife. Waited about 15 mins for food and had friendly service. Place wasn't empty either. Would recommend for something quick and not overpriced like some of the food in that area.

Best Taco Tuesday in town! Street style mexican tacos for $1, what else can you ask for? Now I would seriously recommend the Mango Frozen Margarita with TAJIN, omg the best. Theirs Chile Relleno is also amazing and their nachos are to die for, so loaded.

It was pretty busy for Cinco de Mayo. The hostess seemed overwhelmed and inconsiderate with customers request. The server did not bring out silverware. I ordered a quesadilla to go with both chicken and beef. I paid extra for the meat but when I got home I realized I paid extra for nothing.

The terrible name kept me away for awhile until a friend and I ate here upon his recommendation. I've only eaten here for lunch so I can't say what it's like in the evening, but during the day it's busy but laid back. The food is pretty fantastic. Service is snappy and attentive.
