Reviews of Ruby Slipper Cafe

Just when we think that a dish couldn’t be topped, we find another one….Ladies and gentlemen, this is hands down the best brunch spot that I have ever experienced. Every single dish was delectable. And every place that we have been has had phenomenal service and this was no different. Teri was our server here and EVERY recommendation was spot on! Our recommendation: start with the French toast bites and a signature drink. Definitely have the shrimp and grits, bread pudding pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits-all were perfectly prepared. Teri and Q make you feel like family! We will be back.

Food: The food tasted and looked amazing. If you like biscuits and gravy like me, please try them! They give you two fist sized biscuits, 2 eggs, 2 strips of crunchy bacon, and I added the fried chickens heat style. You won’t regret it. We got French toast bites to share, and I let it sit in my mouth. It was heaven. Everything was scrumptious!
Service: I went in a group of 4 at around 9:30am on a Wednesday, and there was no wait time. We got our food within 10 minutes of ordering and the staff was so sweet!! I, unfortunately found a hair in one of my biscuits, but I told my waitress about and got me another plate. They were very sweet and attentive and would highly recommend!
Cleanliness: overall, good cleanliness. I didn’t find anything to be unacceptable

Never disappoint as many many many times as I have been here. The basic 2 egg breakfast is nothing but basic, with their delicious bacon and fried green tomato. I get a side of gravy with it to smother the biscuit. Heaven. All the dishes are generous enough to split, maybe by adding a side. The French toast bites are perfect to share with the table. Don't forget the Bellinis and bloody Marys. I would so eat here for dinner too if they were open. Service is also always on point.

We went here for brunch because our tour guide suggested going to this location because it was less busier.
We ordered coffee, the mimosas flight, French toast, and the southern breakfast.
I liked the French toast, solid 4/5 but the winner for that was the syrup. I love that it’s not sticky super sweet. It goes perfect with the brioche French toast with the tangy strawberries. My partner wasn’t a huge fan of the southern breakfast but she loved the friend green tomato that came with it. To quote “second to the one my great grandma made” which is VERY high praise.
The mimosa flight was okay, I liked two of the drinks and the other two were blah.
Overall, would go again for brunch.

First off the food is AMAZING. I can’t emphasize that anymore than just AMAZING and delicious. Not only was the food awesome but the waitstaff treated me like family. I felt like I was at a local diner that knew me my whole life. It’s really the best example of southern hospitality I have ever experienced. The owner Charlie remembered us the second day we came in and made sure we got a table quickly even though the wait wasn’t even 5 minutes. The three days I was here I ate here everyday and avoided crowds in the quarter. It was the best decision I made. I miss the food and when I get back I will be eating here at this location! MAKE SURE TO TRY THIS ONCE WHILE IN TOWN. I wish I took more pictures of the food for everyone to see.

Service was great and friendly hence the 4 stars. Got there around noon on a Friday so no wait for a table. The flight of mimosas as a bit meh so I would pass on that. As for the shrimp and grits and the sliders - they were both tasty but nothing to write home about. I guess if you stick to their signatures you should good

Wow such a great stop! Checked in online to avoid a long wait. Ruby Mimosas were great. The French toast bites were our favorite! And love that you can mix and match eggs Benedict’s so you don’t have to choose just one! Would easily come back when passing through New Orleans.
Kara Prachar
Seasonal Beignets are a must-have! The trifecta was a good mix. Sweet heat chicken and french toast bites was truly delicious! Not a single complaint. Ample seating indoors and some outdoors. We had 3 servers who made sure we had a fantastic time and treated us as if we were regulars. One thing we were a huge fan of atmosphere wise is that it wasn't like a stereotypical brunch place in the fact that you can't hear the people you're sitting next to with music blaring, etc. It was comfortable and a truly enjoyable experience.
Edda Pleitez
I got the the buttermilk slider duo (sorry I’m not a food photographer) and it was delicious!!!! And their lavender Paloma is perfect 🤩 tony was a very attentive and thorough in his recommendations to the table, super sensitive to dietary needs. This place has gluten free options!
10/10 would come again

My husband and I just enjoyed the most amazing breakfast at the Ruby Slipper in NOLA on Burgundy St. He ordered the stuffed peach French toast and I had the AMAZING Bananas Foster French toast. Oh and it was happy hour to boot, so of course I had to have a Boozy Coffee (cause every girl needs her coffee in the morning). Jack was our waiter and he was just too cute and so friendly. We will most definitely be repeat offenders for this awesome breakfast spot. Get there early because it clearly is no secret that they are a hidden gem of NOLA.

Everything else I tried in our group was 5 stars. The shrimp and grits were not my favorite. While definitely a different spin on a classic, they were too tangy for my taste. The crawfish and grit cake was the table favorite and I would buy that in a heartbeat on another visit. If you're a Bloody Mary person that would also be a recommendation.

The food was amazing and the service we received is what brought us back a second time. Veronica was our server on Tuesday and she did not disappoint!!! Because of her impeccable service to a large group of people who drank them out of belinis we came one last time before we headed back home to San Diego. Michelle was our server today and she was just as amazing!! I cannot wait to come back!!!!
Alex Fayas
Our server Jack was perfection.
Their specialty favored mimosas were the best I've ever had.
The food was just delectable.
I will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in New Orleans!
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Ruby Slipper 💕
Tab Palmisano
Yes, yes, yes! Everything you are looking for in a brunch. The Mimosa flight was refreshing and the flavors were a nice change from a typical oj Mimosa. Herman was our waiter and was on top of everything we needed. Food was delicious and full of flavor. Wish they were closer so I could go back sooner.
Emmanuel Leonard
I tried their southern breakfast. It came with eggs, grits, sausage, biscuit, and fried green tomato. It sounded good on the menu but I wasn’t feeling it. I enjoyed their eggs and sausage (I don’t remember if the substitute was chicken or turkey). They also had their seasonal beignet that I tried. It was my first time trying a beignet and it reminded me of a funnel cake or elephant cake. It was okay to me. The workers were friendly and the place is clean.
Shontell Forrest
YUM. Best place for breakfast in all of New Orleans. Their fried green tomatoes are to die for! I'm a big fan of their bloody Mary's too. They tend to stay really busy so reservations are a must.
Jay Stegall
This place never disappoints. The service was stellar, and the food was spectacular.
For starters, my wife and I leveraged the website to join the waitlist, and the process was very efficient and smooth. Luckily for us, we were only a five-minute walk away, so once we received a text message from the restaurant, we walked right up to the hostess stand, and we were in our seats in less than 5 minutes.
The bloody mary we started with was amazing and is our go-to drink when we visit. Always lovely and spiced with the right amount of vodka.
Our food was hot and fresh and delivered to our table very quickly. My wife had the avocado toast with egg white substituted, which was a bomb. I had St.Peters fish with cheese grit cakes, and that dish was to die for.
I could continue to write, but honestly, when you are waiting to read my review, you could have already been to this jewel and experienced it yourself. Bottom line, this is the best damn breakfast spot in NOLA!
Christopher Dahman
We had brunch here on the last day of our trip before heading home and I am very happy we chose this spot! The host who sat us was so friendly! I immediately liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. We shared the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were delicious! They are topped with a bacon jam and remoulade. Eggs Benedict is my favorite and they have many options on the menu. The BEST part was that you can do plate where you can choose two different benedicts! We chose the Chicken St. Charles and the Eggs Cochon and enjoyed every bite of both! Also had to throw in a side of grits as well that were perfect. I highly recommend!! They have multiple locations in the French Quarter.
Almost forgot to mention that we had EXCELLENT service from Anthony C. Thank you!!
Debra Ham
The food was delicious!! This was our first time eating here and we will definitely come back to this location when we're in New Orleans again. Our waiter Jonathan took great care of us and the owner Charles made us feel like family!! The chicken and French toast bites and peach bellini made my morning.
Yani A
I love the drink, mimosas and Bellinis, my husband enjoyed the Irish coffee too. Food is delicious with lots of flavor, spice and all the southern flavors we enjoy so much. Food was warm prepared as ordered, I ordered the Peacemaker which is any two different Benedicts the smoked salmon and the shrimp and it was delicious, location is very nice we always find parking in the same street. We will definitely be back again!
Huey-Wen Lin
Great food and very friendly staff! Ordered THE PEACEMAKER which allows me to mix two different bennie from the list: I picked CHICKEN ST. CHARLES (fried chicken) and CRAWFISH & GRITS CAKE. The listed price was $16.5 but I was charged addtional $1; not sure why. I wish the waiter would explained. The food is good, but if I like CRAWFISH one more than the chicken one. The chicken is breatmeat and flavor is a little weak; not as impressive. The grits cake is crispy and the whole thing go well together. Did not see a Wifi for guest in the cafe. The waiters are very friendly; did not pressure me to order extra and accommdate me when I had to leave early to be elsewhere.
Jasmine Randles
The best southern hospitality in all of NOLA! Terry was an amazing server! She truly made this dinning experience over the top! Ask for her! She will take good care of you! The food was AMAZING!
Cheryl Davies
We loved that this was located in an old bank, which is rumoured to have been robbed by Bonnie and Clyde! Breakfast was good, with lots of choice. Our server wasn't that friendly, but everything came out quickly. My partners breakfast burrito was really good, my French toast bites were really crispy with a great sauce.
Lainey Cameron
Fabulous spot - don’t miss while you’re in New Orleans! I ordered the Trifecta (let’s you try 3 different Benedict’s). One with fried green tomato and shrimp, one with pulled pork and one with fried chicken. All delicious Altho pulled pork was my favorite.
My mum ordered the fried green tomato appetizer - heat too!
Amanda Wang
Five star bc the portion was a good hefty meal, plus the seasoning was so on point.
Service was welcoming, our server was so nice.
Bathroom is mid, toilet was clogged.
Interior is cute, has style.
Beignets was quite hard(?), not too fluffy.
Trifecta was amazing to share (2-3 ppl): fried chicken crispy and blends well with the eggs, love the spinaches, pulled pork was flavorful, and the shrimp (finally not mushy shrimp) was so delicious. I was so happy.
Biscuits and gravy was also hefty, my friends mostly ate our trifecta she couldn’t finish hers.
Natalie B Raby
We had a WONDERFUL experience! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but the staff was helpful and our server Jack was the BEST! He informed us about the menu. Advised us on the best dishes to order AND narrated about how their location was formerly a bank, it was the last known bank robbed by Bonnie and Clyde. I would urge anyone local or out of town visitors to visit this location and ask for Jack!!!
Chantal I.
Hands down one of the best breakfast/brunch spots while in NOLA! We walked in and got seated immediately, the waiters were friendly, food was good and the decor was so cool as it used to be a bank.
I got 2 Benedict poched eggs - one pulled pork and one fried tomato - with a side of avocado. Pulled pork was as good as the other reviews read. Delicious. The fried tomato one was just okay. We tried the beignets too and they were good, but it was our first time having them, so not sure how to it compares to other spots.
Overall, I would 100% recommend this spot. Great value for money, delicious food and friendly staff.
Deya
Very homey feel from the time you walkin. I suggest making a reservation before going just to avoid a longer wait. The pricing for mimosas was kinda crazy although they were delicious. Food items were priced fairly. Biscuits and gravy were super good, they could have used more gravy though. Iced coffee was sooooo good. I would come back just for the coffee. Staff was super nice. We did have to park a couple of streets away because there isn't a whole lot of parking near the restaurant.
Jessica A
The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. I got the chicken and French toast bites with a peach Bellini. We went at 10:30 and only had a 10-15 minute wait for 5 people. I find this location is less busy than the other locations.
daniel ciochia
BEST BREAKFAST I’ve had in a while. Not only were the Benedict’s unique (Chicken & shrimp) and delicious but the french toast complimented everything so well. Un believable experience. Ill be dreaming about this food when I leave. Terry was an amazing server that got the food to us really quick and took care of us!
Cory Parker
5 stars all day and night! Teri was our server and she was so sweet, helpful and attentive! The food is phenomenal! I recommend the peach Bellini, so good! Crawfish & grits eggs Benedict was great but the eggs cochon was INCREDIBLE!! Definitely a highlight of our trip!
Frank C
Awesome place for breakfast. Yum! Highly recommend the Praline Pancakes and the dish with poached eggs 3 ways. Don't remember the name of the dish but it had a fried green tomato on one with shrimp, one with bbq pork, and another with a fried chicken tender on it. The three were served on top of a fresh biscuit. Two of us barely finished and we're big eaters.
Sarah Uddin
Of all the places we ate in New orleans, this was by far the best! The waitress recommended the Crawfish and Grits Benedict and it did not disappoint: creamy sauce, chunks of crawfish, perfectly poached eggs with a crunchy fried bread base = YUM! Also, their avocado toast is simply best I've ever had, it may not look like much but the cream cheese and tomato really took it to the next level. I will be dreaming about their food until the next time I'm in NOLA.
Amanda Keys
Our first time here was amazing! The food tasted like it was made with love. Try the Eggs Cochon and the pancakes! Their bacon is made perfectly and the iced coffee was on point too! Our server was amazing, he (tan skin gentleman with shaved head). made great recommendations on what to eat and things to do around town. We came back again the next day and the service wasn’t as great. Our waitress(light skinned lady with nose piercing who wore her hair in a single braid) was not attentive at all and pretty much ignored us. The food was still amazing and that’s what really matters. The busser with the dreads was truly kind and attentive. Every time we saw him he made sure we were good. Give him a raise. Thank you for the great food. We will be back.
George Medeiros
Great spot for breakfast and early cocktail if you choose. We ordered the Banana Fosters French Toast and several a la crate items. Everything was absolutely outstanding. Service was top notch, Pam was an awesome server. She was full of local intel of where to go and explore. Will definitely come back on our next visit.
Chadwick Saffery
First time here and this place feels like home. The food is AMAZING and flavorful. The service is the best. Ask for Tony. He made us feel like family, answered all of our questions (we have dietary restrictions in our family), and even gave us a little history lesson on the area. The menu also includes delicious vegetarian options as well. We dined, enjoyed the atmosphere, and can't wait to come back!!

The Ruby Slipper Cafe was recommended to us. The lines for the two locations closest to us had long waitlists. So we decided to go further from our hotel to this location. Smart move. We went from an 85 mins wait at the other locations to no wait at this one. The food and service were phenomenal. We were served by a new server. She was sweet. She appeared to be in training. Her trainer, Tony, was awesome too. He was our server for most of our time there. He was patient and took the time to tell us about the history of the building. The White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes were so delicious. The Gingerbread Latte is made with oat milk and was super decadent. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly made. The bacon was crispy and the biscuit was huge, tender, and flavorful. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy a good Nola breakfast or brunch, try them. You won't be disappointed!
Hannah Hayden
I would highly recommend Ruby Slipper, especially this location (because it’s not in the middle of all the action)! The service was amazing and the food was delicious. There are so many yummy options that it was hard to decide what to get, but we settled on the Peacemaker and their version of chicken and waffles.
Oga Kemmy
Amazing service, the little french toast bites appetisers are BOMB!!!! FIRE!!!!! I would say one of the best places to get breakfast and it’s around frenchmen street for the people who like to move around and see sights. Professional servers and they welcome you in with Love ❤️.
THIS WILL PROBABLY BE MY SPOT🙌🏾🙌🏾
Omelette is delicious
Serene H.
An iconic place to go in New Orleans. I love their Benedict eggs with biscuits. The fried chicken tasted really good too.
Tamara Benjamin
Best brunch in town! And many convenient locations! Best meal was the fries green tomato eggs benedict and the white chocolate pancake...I'm going to leave it right there!
Beauty In You
I don’t suggest getting the biscuits and gravy they gave me some huge thick not even done in the middle hard to chew biscuits and one little scoop of gravy on top of each. When I tell you those French toast bites were amazing I mean amazing. Server was good too. I do recommend going I just don’t recommend the biscuits and gravy.
Nakyua spruill
Everything tasted amazing! The French toast bites didn’t stand a chance. Hit out table and was devoured in seconds. The staff was absolutely lovely. When they found out we were celebrating my brother birthday they pinned money on his shirt apart of NOLA tradition. Very nice people. Thanks up
Mackenzie Wells
I got the biscuits and gravy with fried chicken. So good! We also got the loaded tots for an appetizer, 12/10 recommend!!!
However, they didn’t have sweet tea :/ everything else was wonderful!
Kevin
I came here for brunch alone and sat at the bar. The bartender was so nice and chatty and helped me decide to get the smoked pork eggs benedict (absolutely delicious). I also ordered a coffee with whiskey and was pleasantly surprised to find out (when i got the bill) that it was half price at 9:00am for happy hour. I wish i hadn't waited to the last day of my 2 month trip to go there cause i would have definitely returned and had breakfast their often.
Brittany Toweh
Everything was great from the host stand to when we left ! Kevin was an incredible server! The food was hot and delicious
R C
The Ruby Slipper was great in every way. Delicious food, friendly environment, and fantastic staff. I couldn't decide which decadent Benedict I wanted from their laudable list of options so I went with the trifecta and didn't need to choose lol. Get a drink, get an appetizer, order your entree like no one's watching and enjoy this NOLA gem! I was here with my dudes and can't wait to bring my partner back here!
Morgan Helt
Our server Michelle was the bomb!! She was personable, sweet, and so bubbly. All attributes needed in the hospitality industry. The food at the Ruby Slipper is equally amazing. Smoked Salmon avocado toast was a perfect light touch to start the day. I recommend 100%!!
Damien Givens
They food was amazing! The friend green tomatoes where some of the best that I’ve ever had. The bloody Mary’s where good, but not great.
Liz Deutermann
Cool space, great service, and amazing food. Our group of 8 popped in for brunch on the Sunday of a holiday weekend and were seated as soon as we were all there.
The Benedicts are fantastic-- and if you can't decide which one you want, order The Peacemaker ($16) and mix and match. The Ruby Slipper mimosa was good but could have used a dash more pomegranate, imo. The chicken and waffles a friend ordered were a hit and the line soul beside her who got a traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast) reported that they were well pleased. Perfect way to start a full day in the city.
Side note: The building used to be a bank-- it was the last bank Bonnie and Clyde ever robbed, according to our server.
Must be masked up to enter. Just do it.
Will deffo be back!

Went for breakfast while on spring vacation & the staff was very nice & helpful & the food was delicious :)
10/10 i recommend
(I got the salmon avocado toast & fresh fruit)
Maria Jones
Pretty good spot for an enjoyable meal. The menu has nice selections, different from what I'm used to, but they were out of a couple items. The atmosphere is nice and there is a small outdoor seating area. The customer service was great outside of a drink reminder but that happens.
Maya B.
I had the shrimp and grits everything was absolutely delicious! I recommend this place as a must stop for any out of town people! The service was exceptional!
Anthony Do
Came by here for brunch with a large group of friends. They were very friendly and accommodating. Loved the ambiance and the service was wonderful and quick. My go to for breakfast is eggs benedict and they have different kinds here. The left is a shrimp and right is a pork. Both were delicious. We also got some drinks, which were delicious as well. A hundred percent would come back next time I'm in town!
Terrance Wilson
Vaccine card required to dine inside. Customer service was really good and staff were really friendly. My expectations probably are to high for the food. French toast bites came out lukewarm vice freshly hot and grits needs a spoon to eat. Overall good experience being here.
Dominic Lee
A great brunch institution. Good variety on the menu and staff were very welcoming. Would recommend for a good hearty southern breakfast.
Veronica Mira
Excellent service, food was great! Tony made the experience even better, he offered options for our dietary restrictions and delivered exceptional service! Will DEFF come back! Absolutely recommend!
Elizabeth Kemp
Everything we ordered was amazing! Highly recommend the Nola coffee and the shrimp Benedict, but everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Fresh, fast, and excellent service.
Jessica Delmonte
This was our 1st time here and everything was absolutely amazing. From the service to the presentation of the food right now to the taste.
Stefan G
Great place! Was quite busy / popular. Food was tasty with medium portion sizes. Attentive service.
Jay Bernard
I mean what else is there to say? Spot on as always! The staff at any location is super friendly and aims to make your stay pleasant. The food is about an honest 8/10 and that says a lot for a brunch place.
This past visit, we had a mix up with our order, but the staff is trained in such a manner where you don't notice the mistake and they insure your stay is enjoyable. Only thing I would recommend, getting "in line" online because this place is popular!
Teresa Tims
Amazing place I wish I could have gone more during my stay. Great staff and vibe and the food WOWWWWWWW
Roy Haggerty
Darwin’s (the Great Dane) favorite restaurant in New Orleans. Might be the bacon that came with the water bowl. Lovely, friendly spot with great breakfast.
Tim Frantz
Wow! Best breakfast / brunch place in New Orleans. The wait is worth it. Food and service were exceptional. Must do place in New Orleans.
Abigail Lee
The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is I was told I was going to be 45 minutes and it was an hour and a half. There's only sitting for a few people in town to wait and outside it was extremely hot so it was quite difficult to figure out what to do. And they were not quick with the service nor cleaning and seating people when the table were empty. But the server was extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. And the food was absolutely delicious! There are other locations around the city as well. I would recommend but just know it might take a while.
Pat Stockton
We ate here every day of our vacation and the eggs Benedict options on the menu were so dang good. The chicken st Charles Benedict was out of this world. Its something to say that for 4 days in a row we went to the same breakfast spot. I'll say it though. This place is good. Eat it. You'll love it.
Kieron Torres
They serve the best shrimp and grits I've had so far, and everyone else in my group enjoyed their brunch, so the whole menu is really good. The mimosas flight was delicious and everyone else loved the giant fluffy biscuits (not gluten free, obviously). Our server was awesome, and the service was fast and excellent. Hope to eat here again!
Herb Chandler
Server was a bit slow attending to my party (3), once served food came out promptly.
Nice atmosphere, don't come here on a real hot day, there in no air conditioning inside. Food was plentiful, drinks were good as well. Had a great server.
Hard to find parking but will definitely return.
MyInfoTech FineArtsMediaEdu
Ruby Slipper is our Nola staple for all things breakfast / brunch. Every location is wonderful, the staff is always friendly and the food, is, marvelous! #benedictstcharles
toccara Butler
The food was amazing as usual I love the French toast bites and shrimp and grits I have been to different locations but my server Michelle was an excellent I came for my Bachelorette brunch and she was very attentive I will definitely return to this location my next visit
John Huynh
I wished I discovered this place/location when I started my vacation here. I am going to start off with ORDER THE FRENCH TOAST BITES. I have had lots and lots of different food from all over, and I can 100% say these are my top 5 favorites. I kid you not, the bites did not last more than a min on the table. It was made PERFECTLY. As for everything else, you get your bang for your buck. Big portions, and everything was delicious! I had the poach eggs on top of the pork and the chicken over huge biscuits! It was super yummy and filling! I definitely rate this as one of my favorite breakfast places and will continue coming here everytime I am back in NOLA!
J L
Service was friendly but everything took so long... and I had to ask about my coffee 3 times..... that being said, the food was just delicious and so filling, without being outrageously priced!
Paul B
My God. This food was so amazing! Service and atmosphere, top notch too! The benedicts were so amazing! Try the one with pulled pork.....to die for! The biscuits and gravy were hands down the best I've ever had and I have had hundreds throughout the nation. These were so good I wanted more but had no room in the tank.
Jillian Whyte
The food was soooo good. The staff is so kind. We came right after landing and they gave us a space to put our bags. Drinks are large.
DJ Jackson
One of my favorite joints to come to when I'm in town!!! Food is always delicious and Staff is always nice!!!
Paul Orlik
Incredible vibe, great meal, huge portions, great value. Would 100000% recommend to everyone.
Jose Villarreal
Amazing all around!! We ate breakfast on super busy Saturday morning, we got a table within 15 minutes, the service was great, the food came out fast and hot. And it was amazing!
Amanda
My daughter and I had brunch here while visiting NOLA and we loved everything about it. Some of the best food I've ever had. Prices were a little higher than I expected, but the portions were huge so we could have ordered less and had plenty. I'll know for next time!
Remi Paluszak
Truthfully, I was surprised that this is a chain of sorts but, nevertheless, we enjoyed the menu with some of the best pancakes and bennies I've had.
This particular one had friendly, accommodating staff, southern style architecture with high ceilings, eclectic colors, a full brunch drink menu, good coffee, and unique brunch and breakfast choices.
I would gladly come back for seconds.
Diego Alvarez
The food it’s amazing it’s the perfect place for eat with family and friends.
todd r
We both enjoyed the omelets, a mimosa flight was a great way to start the day and the staff was friendly. My wife said try this place if you can.
Ana Gómez
Absolutely delicious! Had the Trifecta, soooo good, and then the white chocolate chip bread pudding pancakes, also amazing! Service was great, from hostess to waitress, to what I assume was the owner. Great ambiance, cute place
Alexandra Aquinaga
What a treat!! Came here with some friends of mine and were not disappointed! The service was great, fast, and the food was so yummy! We noticed the manager(Charles?) walking around and checking on tables, and making sure service was smooth. He was very nice too. Only complaint was that it was pretty stuffy and hot
Mike Hall
Tasty authentic dishes with a twist of the south.
Good selection of drinks and breakfast/brunch/lunch plates with some fun cocktails on the menu too.
You can mix and match the egg Benedict which is a great idea if you just can't decide between them.
Friendly helpful staff that make you feel welcome.
Nicole Brooks
AMAZING MEAL & Service!!! Angelina was amazing and always anticipated our needs as customers. She offered suggestions from the menu and was knowledgeable about food and drink options. The Ruby Slipper (Burgundy location) was clean and busy. Be sure to rsvp ahead of time as each location is super busy. Must stop!
Marie Simmons
I visited twice for breakfast during my visit to New Orleans and it was great both times! I had the hot sausage breakfast sandwich that was beyond delicious! Very friendly, engaging staff as well, you unfortunately don't get that in Atlanta! Which is why Louisiana is forever in my heart and this establishment adds to the reason why!
Henry Williams
Was looking for a good french toast place and this popped up on Foursquare; someone mentioned the bananas Foster's french toast, sounded good to me. As you can see I ordered that, alone with the catfish and grits, and the bacon praline pancakes. let me just say, everything was amazing! The grits were super creamy and buttery, the catfish was fried to perfection. Once u added the cream sauce it was over.
The French toast did not disappoint. The sauce was incredible.
The pancakes were huge and they tasted great as well.
U can't go wrong here, I highly recommend Ruby's
Noel Pantera
The staff was amazing! Michelle is the #1 server to have for your dining pleasure! If she isn’t available- her number two is Jack, who is pretty “ok’ish” (kidding they’re both amazing). Jamal was beyond welcoming and sang for me for my 50th birthday breakfast. I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s unassuming and has the perfect vibe. You would be cheating yourself if you did not visit this establishment. Every city should be so lucky to have a place like this to enjoy a fantastic meal!
Mark Kruck
My daughter and I explore breakfast restaurants wherever we go. Breakfast is our thing. This place is one of our favorite places to go in the country. The standard menu items are great but there are always seasonal items that steal the show. We will keep returning to Ruby Slipper.
Laura Howard
If I lived in NOLA, this would be my regular haunt. Superb for brunch, the staff are SOOOO nice, I rated 4 as I personally cannot get to grips with what Americans have for breakfast! But there is a great menu and plenty on offer.
Emily Toops
Strongly advise going early or on a weekday to avoid the crowds, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The fried chicken biscuit sandwich is incredible, but so is everything else they make!
Miriam Rogers
Great brunch, great service.
Visited twice whilst staying in the area
JoAnn Fritch
This place is extremely popular so be prepared to spend quite a bit of time here if you go. The service is a bit slow which is frustrating but the food is amazing!! I had the bread pudding stuffed pancakes and they were delicious!!! Makes the waiting worth it!!!
Harry Almeraz
Best breakfast I had in a very long time. I enjoyed the food immensely. The only reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because we made a reservation and they extended it by an hour. If it wasn't for that, it would have gotten the 5. Great food. Will try again in the future and review again!
Lily Wilson
Jack, our server, suggested that I get the salmon Benedict which was out of this world. No English muffin a big homemade biscuit instead with a wonderful holiday sauce across the top. Thank you Jack.
Jenina Mella
Friendly service and great food! Ate here twice during our 10 day NOLA trip and were very happy each time. Don't miss the fried green tomatoes with remoulade ad the Benedicts. Service from Pam Demick (pretty sure this was an alias) was a highlight of our trip. It almost felt like we were part of dinner theatre. Nice outdoor seating and extensive cocktail menu.
Alejandro Cruz
What an incredible place to have breakfast. The food was outstanding. I ordered the trifecta which has three distinct but related flavors that packed a wallop. The chicken st Charles was very savory. Our wait time was about 45 minutes but we’ll worth it. The margarita was delicious and refreshing. Our server was prompt, friendly and welcoming.
Nick Girdner
This had some of the best breakfast I've ever had. It was very busy there and I feel like we didn't have to wait long for our food. I advise putting yourself on the waiting list prior to arriving there. Everything was made excellently. My French toast brioche was so good. The bartender made me really great Bloody Mary's. The staff stays moving at all impressive speed. I advise this place.
Monica Mora
I want to start this review saying how amazing our server Jennifer S treated us. She knew the menu really well and suggested dishes to us. She also told us how to make the candy bacon at home and checked on us making sure we liked our food, and didn't need anything. "KUDOS" to her. On top of that the food was outstanding. We did the peacemaker benedict so we had the option of trying two things at the same time. Food was delicious, tasteful and fresh. If you are in New Orleans please come and try this gem
Kristina Newcomb
OMG! So glad we found this place. Was purely by accident. Best accident ever! Six of us staying, we have been here twice already, planning another visit. Menu is the best. Staff is so pleasant and welcoming.
Jaylyn Knuckles
The service here was so pleasant and welcoming. The Ruby Mimosa was to die for as well as the dishes we ordered. The feel and history behind the place was very cool. I ordered The Peacemaker which was a combo of two different benedicts and my friend ordered the shrimp and grit! So yummy!
Laura Walter
The best breakfast I’ve had in New Orleans. The food was perfect. Teri was such an attentive host and had a fantastic sense of humour. Keep on singing Teri!
Production Apostle
Love this place. They have several different egg Benedict.. The French toast bites are so delicious you have to try them.. the vanilla cold brew with a wip top is great.. and the bacon infused bloody marys were on point... can't wait to come back. Jared was very attentive and was very helpful thanks brother...
Miss Miko
We wanted to try this place for a long time, but everytime we come to NOLA the wait is extremely long. We finally got a table and we understand why. Amazing service and food. The waitress was very nice, i forgot her name, but the food, was excellent. Great for brunch or breakfast. This is my new breakfast place when I visit.
Isis Harris
Food was always good each time I went for Brunch. Their shrimp & grits are the best I’ve had ever in life!!! Also definitely have to try the Mimosa Flight 😋 you won’t regret it. The Hot Honey chicken bites delicious
Ellen T
The wait was painfully long, but we came on a Sunday so we can’t complain. The food was excellent, especially the French toast bites and chicken St Charles!!! Also their bloody Mary’s are to die for. Over all, very good.
Cliff White
Service great food great value not bad.
Sadly was served a drink in a dirty glass think this was a one off and was resolved very quickly.
Toilets one was a bit backed up
Hence 4 star but defo good place for breakfast..
christina jechoutek
We spent a few days in NOLA for a friend's birthday.. had a fabulous brunch @therubyslipper on Burgundy with the BEST service from both Veronica on the first day and Michelle the following... the food was fantastic and the service was stellar!! Kudos to the entire staff for most excellent food and service that will keep us coming back for years to come #somuchlove#youguysareawesome#welovenola#rubyslipperburgundy

I was in New Orleans for 4 days and had breakfast here 2 days :D It was closer to the place I was staying. This cafe was crowded and had a wait time of 30 mins for brunch on Sunday morning. But it wasn't that busy on Monday morning. They have good bloody Mary and few nice breakfast specials. Their Nutella french toast was absolutely delicious. Good service and decent prices on all the menu.
sean huddle
This is an amazing place for breakfast. It has ruined eggs Benedict for me . It's going to be hard to find them better anywhere else. 🤪. Jonathon was are server and he was excellent. …
Wendy G
The food was amazing
The service was fantastic
We loved everything about this place and tried to come back - I think they may have been closed due to the hurricane:(
The shrimp and grits are fabulous. They pair well with the Bloody Mary. The French Toast bites and candied bacon are slap ya mama tasty
If you have a chance to go? Go here and check out this location!

Came to Ruby Slipper, an Mrs. Angelina was great. She catered to our every need and ensure that our brunch was perfect. This was one of the best meals, with the best customer service I have had in a long time. Will definitely come back next time we are in town.
Benjamin Brown
What a fantastic meal! Came with a group and was quickly seated. Coffee was really good. The food was amazing. The main speciality seems to be eggs Benedict, but everything was good. I tried my friends pancakes and bananas foster French toast and they were both delicious and decadent. I got an eggs Benedict with pork, and it was perfect. I wish I'd come here sooner
kimberly benavides
Our waitress Pam was a sweetheart but she had too many tables to take care of so she took while to tend to us. Our food and drinks took awhile but the food was sooo freakin AMAZING it made up for all the time we waited. I had the gulf shrimp omelette with grits, breakfast potatoes and a biscuit. My man and my brother had the trifecta, along with some deep fried green tomatoes 😋 all of the dishes were superb.💯💯💯 definitely coming back in the future.☺ everything was DELICIOUS!!!!
Amy O'Brien
When visiting NOLA, my sister said she was going to take me here because the food never disappoints. She was right. It was delicious and so is the coffee. The service was impeccable and we couldn't have had a friendlier server. She made great suggestions for food and we were both happy with our choices. My five-year-old loved their pancakes and the bacon. But who doesn't like bacon. ;) I really liked the ambience here and the Cool vibe but this restaurant has. If you're in NOLA this place is a must go.
Paula Garcia
Hands down the best meal I have had in years. Delicious. Service was wonderful. Only wish I lived closer to one of there locations but definitely will be visiting every time in im the area
Jayme Taylor
Brunch was excellent and our server was a peach. Loved the NOLA style iced coffee and the beignets!
Missy E.
Went for brunch with a few friends while we were in town. It was Sunday at around 10am but it wasn't busy. While we were outside the one server was very rude on asking us to move while we were trying to figure out where the host was as there was a sign saying "see host for seating". We got our table and sat down, our server said she would be right with us to get out drinks but didn't come back for about 15 minutes. We were dying to eat here because it was so highly recommended so we waited and finally got to order everything at once. Drinks and food took a long time too but the food was to die for. I would highly recommend doing the Peace Treaty which let's you pick two of their amazing Eggs Benedict. Everything is a' la carte so make sure to order some potatoes or grits. The drinks were delicious and very well poured. Once we got our service it was delicious. It just took a while to get and when your hangry that seems even longer. When we left... just about 2 hours after we got there they were slammed. So I could understand everything taking a while then. I will say this wasn't the only place in New Orleans that had verrrry slow service and only a few people working. All and all I would go back. The food and drinks made up for the long long wait times.
Aaron Butler
What a great place for a brunch! The food was great. Richard provided great service. The building that houses this location has a history as a bank once robbed by Bonnie and Clyde. The inside of the restaurant still has some of the banks architecture.
Mithun Manivannan
Pros:
- easy to find from the street
- amazing BLT
- bacon bloody Mary was spicy
Cons:
- some confusion with seating
We put our name on the list online and when we got there they didn't have our names or something so we had to wait. We had already decided on our order while we waited, and the food came out quickly. The waiter was nice, and the food was awesome, the ambiance was interesting. Cool place.
Billie Hawkins
First and foremost, the waitress was amazing. Secondly the food she suggested was perfect. Actually it was a little creepy how well she knew us after only talking to us for a couple seconds.
Literally everything on the menu we tried was wonderful. We came in on a Monday, and by 11:30 AM there was only a five minute wait. Definitely worth stopping in as a brunch place before you explore what New Orleans has to offer.
Greg Woo
Great location off Magazine St. The crowd's a lot better than the other locations. Drink deals are great. The earlier you go, the wait time is cut. Food is mid-level pricey, but portions are humongous. They are great with benedicts and other breakfast items. Candied bacon is phenomenal. They follow the New Orleans tradition of mastering mixed drinks. Great for kids too. Parking is street parking, easy to find. Service is spectacular.
Mustafa Al-Waily
Great place in a quiet neighborhood! The food looks good and tastes even better. The smoked salmon egg benedict was amazing. Street parking is free and abundant.
Chris Summers
We really enjoyed the Ruby Slipper. Its located in a quieter residential neighborhood with really cool houses. The wait staff was very friendly and they were doing a good job of sanitizing between guests. I had the Trifecta which is 3 of their Benedicts. The one with the pulled pork was amazing. My wife has stuffed french toast that was very good and my daughter had the praline bacon hotcakes. Overall very good and we would not have any issue recommending to friends or going again should we return to New Orleans.
King Lee
Came here with a party of 8. Get the banana's foster pancakes, they were so good we ordered another. Everything else was just okay. Also, some of the biscuits we got were hard as rocks and we had to ask for fresh ones.
Tamara Smith
Food was great service was exceptional up until it was time to tip the waitress got an attitude when some of my party tipped from their card she rolled her eyes and made the other guest not want to tip, other than that loved it!--
Tom Bowlby
What a wonderful place for brunch.. The candied bacon 🥓, Fried Green Tomatoes, Eggs cochon, Pulled Pork... MMMmmmm so damn good what a beyond amazing place
Matt Carlin
A must visit while in New Orleans - the food is incredible! There are several locations around the city, but this spot has significantly shorter wait times, if any at all. Lots of signature dishes as well as classic breakfast items, all made with individual flair and care. Excellent service tops it all off. A must see!
Michael Shearer
I had the trifecta... not sure what she had.. shrimp omelette w biscuit and grits (I believe)... we are only in the city a handful of days and this is going to be another stop before we leave and head back home.
Jasmine Castañeda
Lovely spot and architecture of this location, which used to be a bank. If you’re going on a busy day, I’d recommend getting there early or getting on the waitlist before arriving. The banana foster french toast were delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Penny Peavy
Ate breakfast here and it was delicious. Waitress was nice and menu had a lot to choose from.
Tiffani Lang
The atmosphere in this old bank is excellent. The neighborhood vibe and friendliness of and among the staff elevates the experience. Our host, Nick was outstanding. He was helpful and had excellent suggestions when we needed them and was happily accommodating. The food and drinks were served very quickly and were delightful. The menu had a good mix of local cuisine and more mainstream brunch fare—something for everyone in your crowd.
Amber Crossland
This place is a hidden gem! The flavors are true and not processed. I sampled the praline pancakes with the bacon inside! Whoa, slap your momma delicious. My husband had grits,.French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage with toast. Let's just say it was enough and then some! The service was excellent and the bathroom was super clean. Thanks ruby slipper!
Patricia Davis
So hard to choose from the amazing menu options, so the Trifecta of Benedict is the way to go! Absolutely superb! Hubby had the corned beef benny which was also thoroughly enjoyed. Staff is friendly and professional.
Josh Staley
Really cool place! We had a group of 10 and everyone's food was amazing and the service was excellent!
Casey T
Food and service were amazing!
Shelly Kerry
Joe at the bar is great, all the food is wonderful and we went two mornings in a row ❤️ BBQ shrimp and grits are the bomb
Kayleigh Evans
Definitely recommend. These are the dishes we enjoyed while here as well as some great drinks: Peach Bellinis, bloody Mary’s, and ruby slippers.
Samuel Kent
Recommended by its own competitor when their kitchen was closed. That's high praise in my book, and it turns out they deserve it. Delicious breakfast options. Ridiculous portion sizes. I was defeated by my biscuits and gravy. Super friendly service.
Terrance M. D. Jones Jr
Great food. This was our first time here. The sweet heat Chicken is Bomb. The Biscuits and gravy are pretty good but the biscuits are pretty thick! Great drinks too! I would explore the menu more on my next visit.
Pamela Kenyon
Went there on recommendation from a new friend. Wow! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was a delight! Our server Pamela was kind, attentive, and wonderful. Thank you for another great experience in NOLA.
If you’re looking for a great place for breakfast or brunch, thus place is a MUST!
Paul Neyman
Very cool breakfast spot. The St. Peter is a good breakfast fish dish, something different.
Claudia O
Excellent customer service all around. Every staff member I interacted with was so friendly and helpful. In addition to the impressive staff, the food was delicious! I highly recommend the banana fosters French toast and goat cheese grits. 😊
Toscana Navas
Beautiful thank place with beautiful and sweet people. They have been extremely patient with my father in law today. One of the best spots to eat in New Orleans. Tara is phenomenal !
Shana Peyton
The PERFECT first stop upon entering NOLA. Food is phenom! *chef’s kiss*. I will be dreaming of the peaches & cream beignets. Our server, Michelle, was so attentive and had a wonderful, welcoming spirit. Can’t wait to come back!
Cathy Young
It has great history! A former bank robbed by Bonnie & Clyde and converted into a restaurant. They kept the bank teller cage from back then. It was really neat and unexpected. Food was good, staff was friendly!
Tamera Foster
Food and service is great. Parking is complicated.
But we had breakfast it was so wellnlbprepared, fresh yummy biscuit.
wonderful hot tea.
Husband had a great meat based breakfast.
We were full and service was quick, courteous and refresh away from French Quarter.
Kari J
TONY WAS AN ABSOLUTE DOLL!
EXCELLENT SERVICE & THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS.
BEIGNETS WERE *CHEFS KISS*
(TIP FOR SENSITIVE EATERS: THERE'S GLUTEN REDUCED ITEMS, JUST ASK FOR RECOMMENDATIONS)
Jennifer
THE COFFEE! THE BLOODY MARYS! No matter what you eat too I’m sure it’ll be good too! Also the staff are super sweet- gentleman at the front today was polite and efficient, the bar staff were super (especially the young lady with red hair she was stellar!) Pro Tip: eating solo? Eat at the bar! Damn good cup of coffee
shaneeta sims
1st time in New Orleans, visiting from Chicago. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the Southern breakfast and my husband ordered the Louisiana Omelette. Jesse, our server, gave 5 star service. She's a ray of sunshine and gave us great suggestions on places to go for food. She was patient and attentive. Thank you Jesse for making us feel welcomed.
Charla Chamberlain
This is a beloved local chain. The location on Burgundy (burGUN-dee) was a really cool remodeled old brick building. We sat outside in the morning sun. The special beignets were incredible with jam and a vanilla whipped cream and another kind of delicious cream at the bottom, (maybe creme fraiche?) with purple & green sprinkles!!
Being from Oregon I NEED the coffee to be good and it was.
I had the pork roast Benedict and dear goddess almighty that was AMAZING! Perfect poached eggs on top covered with a yellow hollandaise (it was not lemony). It was too much food for me so I ended up abandoning the second half of the biscuit and just eating the pork.
The fella had the Southern Breakfast- also a ton of food. Standard breakfast really- but even scrambled eggs were perfect.
Stay away from the line on Bourbon St and enjoy this location off Esplanade in the Marigny!
Eric Brunner
Great food, great service, and an all around positive environment. Our group of nine worked through a ton of the menu and it all looked great. Would definitely return here on another trip to NOLA
Natalie Orozco
Terry our waitress was super sweet, who knew I would love pig candy 😋 can't wait to tell my friends back home in California.
David Van Benthuysen
Lovely spot with delicious food, outstanding Bloody Marys, and very friendly staff. Highly recommended. Try the Cajun Shrimp Eggs Benedict, absolutely amazing.
Jack Steiner
If the food wasn't already top tier (seriously give those french toast bites a try) the staff are equally amazing. Every time I've been there the service has been truly awesome, whether it be taking a complicated order with a smile and a joke or saving the day when you forget your to-go box 😅. Ruby Slippers you rock! …
Brittanie Kelly
I am not a huge fan of the pancakes but the food and drinks were really good. Went during the day with family so we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful, they really brightened our last day and meal in NOLA. Thanks guys!!!
Jon Abulencia
Wonderful service and food. Prices are great for the selection, portion size, and overall quality and flavor. Definitely going to make this a regular stop. Get the Trifecta!!
Gemini52683
The food was delicious and our waiter Kavin was excellent he made us feel at home we were visiting New Orleans from Miami! I had the sausage and gravy that tasted as if my grandmother was back there cooking!
Tina Witczak
Food was great! Little hard to get to and not much parking but worth the trip.
Lauren Moses
As the other reviews stated, you must be prepared to wait in line at this place. You are able to sit at the bar or outside and grab a drink while you wait, which is what we did. The bloody mary's were amazing, as well as the Iced Irish Coffees. The restaurant is pretty tiny but the tables turn over fast. My friend got the make your own eggs Benedict and got shrimp and pork (picture attached), the grits were good, and TBH i forgot what my other friends ordered BUT it was definitely worth waiting for, and the drinks were phenomenal.
Elizabeth Ellis
Super friendly server, amazing food. Bananas foster French toast was wonderful. Can't go wrong with any of the Bennie options.
Beth Miller
The food and service were perfect! We had the trifecta Benedict (pulled pork, fried chicken and corned beef) and the shrimp and grits. Absolutely scrumptious! You can't go wrong here!
Clever Android
Went here back in April. Had the biscuits and gravy ,so good. The wait staff was so friendly, and attentive.
Taylor McN
The Ruby Slipper Café was fantastic!
The food was quick, tasty, filling and well priced. The staff were professional and kind. The restaurant is in a beautiful, historied, old building. It got pretty loud while I was there, that being said it was a very busy time on a Sunday morning.
Glenn Kasten-Sportes
This place is delicious!! It's one of the best brunches I have ever had. They usually have a long wait on busy brunch days but it's absolutely worth the wait! It's a restaurant you need to visit while in New Orleans!
J McB
Our experience at Ruby Slippers was delicious. Ordered two bennies crawfish grit cake & the chicken st. Charles and the food was 10/10. Our waitress Michelle M. was amazing! She gave us menu you suggestions and was so kind! Thank you Michelle!
Tiffany Anderson
First time trying the Ruby Slipper location in Marigny. I'm used to having to wait at the other locations, but at 10:00 on Wednesday morning, there were only three other tables. It was peacefully quiet. Service was speedy and friendly. Per usual, I ordered the migas. They were delicious. Highly recommended.
Eric Walker
Bennies was awesome, avoid the one downtown if you can
Erin Regan
Michelle M our server was amazing! She was so sweet, attentive and accommodating to our large group! Food was great!
Colin Russell
Possibly the best Bloody Mary I’ve had in the city. The service is friendly and the food is excellent. Worth the walk out of the Quarter to go to this one. A little less crazy.
Caderae Williams
I really liked it here. Service was great. Our server, Kavin, had a great attitude and the food was good. First time trying fried green tomatoes and I think I'm a fan. 👌🏾
Nicole Molina
This little hidden Gem was off the hook. The food came on time, the fried green tomatoes was delicious well as those girts. The service was great.
Michelle
Long wait for brunch, but definitely worth it. Had a Big Easy Mimosa to kill the time. Decent sized portions. Varied menu. Great service. The location is decently sized with a bar front and center. Staff was super friendly. The pancakes were out of this world!
Amanda Fletcher
Innovative breakfast! So delicious we stopped by on our way out of town!
If you're looking for savory, the Gulf Fish St. Peter (pictured) will hit the spot. If you want a sweet breakfast, the stuffed french toast is amazing, especially the cheesecake filling w/ blackberry.
Christian Anzora
I recommend reserving ahead of time but well worth the wait! Friendly service and delicious food. The coffee is also amazing.
Joshua Elzy
Several great breakfast dishes I come back for every time I'm in New Orleans.
Jennifer Freese
Veronica was super helpful in making menu suggestions and just had an overall great personality, she made our brunch so fun
johnny lamboy jr
This place is only getting three stars because my partners dish was soon good. It was smothered grits and biscuit with pecan butter. My dish was suppose to be chorizo plantains with avocado and salsa. There wasn't any chorizo served with the dish and by the time it was provided my dish was cold. The salsa was oddly chunky like they included the part by the stem. Overall the flavor was lack luster.
Priscilla Van Blarcom
Definitely a must try for breakdown when in NOLA. We had the Bloody Mary and different Eggs Benedict, and were very happy with our selections.
max pierce
Nice sit down place for sunday brunch. i liked that it seemed to be a converted bank. the food had great portions for the price. i was there with a group of 6 of us, we got served quickly and the waitress was nice. a bunch had pancakes that were really good, i had the croque madame.
Brittany Griffin
Delightful first time experience. A little disappointed they forgot about my sausage, however they made up for it! Our waitress was kind and suggestive of different meal options.
christian beltran
Michelle was so sweet. Gave great food suggestions & food was 10/10!! Will definitely recommend & will come back again.
Mike Metz
Friendly servers, kid-friendly, delicious food. Get any of the eggs Benedict. If you can't make up your mind, they let you mix and match!
Shanita Dopson
I had the bacon praline pancakes and an iced coffee. My friend had some sort of fish with corn fritters. My 🥞 were delicious 🤤 …
Jessie Williams
Great food and great service! I had the French toast batons and they were delicious- way too much food for me though, I definitely could’ve shared this plate. Will be returning!
Matt Perrone
This is a must do in New Orleans especially if you're looking for an amazing brunch place. Good prices, heavy pours, big portions and great taste. Their servers are amazong, very friendly and funny. Always at least 2 specials, and the trio Benedict's are the way to go!
Kimberly Powell
Wonderful breakfast. Although the eggs cochon was the best on the trifecta. My mom had the corned beef and loved it. Had mimosas. Wanted to try the brioche french toast but just did not have room. Have inside and outside seating. Cozy feel. Friendly staff and good food.
L Wolfe
Been to 2 locations this place is awesome food
Loved the grits Ice coffee and pancakes
Omg their bacon!
Coco George
Food was aiiiight...the ambiance is New Orleans and the service from our friendly and cute waitress was nice.
Vy D
We came here because we heard raving reviews! The one in the FQ was packed, so we had to wait about an hour, this one was a 2 minute wait. The dishes were good and uniquely flavored; I don't think many places offer what they do.
I got the St. Charles chicken and it was delicious. I recommend getting the trifecta if you want to try their top dishes.
The prices are on the expensive side, so it was a treat. Their pancakes looked amazing, but we didn't try them.
This is a great brunch spot, with friends, family, kids, or a casual date.
Located in a quaint neighborhood, it was a cute place to eat and conversate with my friends.
Stephen Alderdice
Service was super and the French Toast with Apple Pie Filling was delicious! Iced coffee was great too!
Frank Furgal
This is one of our favorite breakfast places. The Pig Candy is a must if you like bacon. The day before and after Christmas kids eat for free. Not a bad deal for a family outing. While in NO, we'll eat breakfast here a couple of days. We have never been disappointed. The location on Brugundy is smaller and quieter than the Canal Street location. We like to go early before it gets crowded. Expect a wait but it's so worth it.
Joel Rose
There are some creative items on the menu. Liked the outdoor seating. Our server was friendly. Portions a bit on the small side for the price, IMHO. Food was good but not as outstanding as the reviews had suggested.
Booker Holloway
Very good food. Some time goes into the creation of this food from making the menu to it making it to your plate. Service is not top of the line but it was satisfactory. Has a hometown feel to the atmosphere. I would definitely go back on my next visit. They do not disappoint!
Shae Williams
Awesome food and service! The shrimp omelet, trifecta and French toast were all good.
merissa white
Awesome place. I had the amazing Boozy Iced coffee and my bf had the bacon infused vodka bloody Mary. A must try of you like bloody Mary's. Herman our waiter was awesome! Breakfast was also amazing. Perfect place for brunch.
sabrina Acevedo
Amazing food, service was great and nice place! So many diffrent options everything we had was sooo good, highly recommended.
Billie McShane
We checked online where a 30-45min wait was predicted and added our names to the list. It was about a 20min drive over. Once we arrived, we checked in and were told that we were the next table. There were several parties who arrived after us and yet were seated before. How was this possible if we were the next table as the hostess stated? Our wait once we arrived at restaurant was about an hour.
The food was amazing! Our server was fast, attentive and knew the menu well. Our food came out really fast which was much appreciated after such a long wait. I was a bit disappointed that the corned beef was on the wall menu but I was told that it was not available. I did get the egg benedicts with fried green tomatoes and the one with fried chicken. They completely made up for my disappointment because they were so good.
Angela Luckey
Brunch at the Ruby Slipper Cafe is a must if you are in the Marigny area. We loved it so much during our stay that we went twice. The first dish I had included a delicious crawfish cake and was married with incredible flavors, a poached egg, and fried green tomatoes. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, and be sure to add fried chicken. The drinks were also delicious. Great Bloody Mary’s with a nice assortment of pickled toppings. And last but certainly not least, the service was incredible. Every member of their staff was hospitable and lovely. Thanks!
Abby Daws
Without even asking, I was already being told that I HAD to go get breakfast here at least once while in NOLA. So needless to say I had high expectations walking in. I got a fried egg, bacon, cheese and avocado sandwich and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had! The breakfast potatoes were alright. Our French toast bites came out late but it was worth it. Literally, melt in your mouth, so delicious! Will definitely come here again!
Catherine Choplin
Near our rental. Went 3 times. Servers are great. Look for the tall blonde twins, lol!
Mike Nava
Came in for a late breakfast and ordered to go. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and spicy chicken patties. It was delicious. The bun was soft and toasted and they give generous portions of bacon and chicken patties. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone.
D Sanchez
The food was great and the manager was so sweet and personable.
Brittany Hawkins
Service and food was amazing! Sweet heat chicken and french toast bites might be the best food we had in town!
Andrew Sinclair-Georges
Excellent spot for breakfast or brunch! We went two days in a row since we could have everything we wanted to try in one day! All the food is spot on and the drinks are great! Jonathan and Janette both took great care of us! We’ll be back and you won’t be disappointed when you go!
Nikki
Amazing food! The boozy iced coffee was great!
Ian Hyzy
Awesome food and super friendly staff. I'm not sure if this is a local thing but the mimosas were like 1/3 pulp (but tasted great!). The breakfast tacos were great but the French toast fried chicken was amazing
Tameka Cole
I had a great experience. The fried green tomatoes were so good. The southern breakfast was also very filling. Others in my party enjoyed the French toast bites.
JaMaal Dupree
Another New Orleans gem serving up wonderful food and atmosphere. The wait was minimum and service was prompt. Five stars two thumbs up
Christina D.
Highly recommend this brunch spot. Our waitress, Mindy, was super great. We accidentally spilt a drink of our flight and she gladly replaced it without us having to ask. Attentive and quick service. Friendly atmosphere.
nick saul
Amazing food. I had the shrimp and grits and it was so good
Desiree B
Leisha is the best server ever! So attentive and just over all wonderful. Very sweet woman.
Kristi B
Our waiter, Jack, was so wonderful. Absolutely knowledgeable on the menu and great recommendations. Plus, he was just kind and funny and helpful. And be sure to get him to tell you about the history of the place…wow! He kept us smiling and we had great conversation! The food was really good too! Thanks for taking good care of us, Jack! We will surely be back!
Sapper
Loved this place! We had a great brunch and drinks!
Andrew Sherman
Always great - best way to start the day in NOLA
Adam Gabardy
Delicious food! The Southern BLT was a huge hit as was the shrimp & grits.
Brittany Lane
The food was awesomely delicious. I see why there are so many locations! I had the seasonal peaches and cream stuffed French toast and the pride flight of mimosas (skip the flight and just order a blueberry or watermelon strawberry mimosa if possible). I will certainly be back on my next trip to N.O.
TastyMedia
Love this place!! The location has great history and as a really nice relaxed vibe where you can grab breakfast and maybe a drink after a long night of partying in the Quarter. All the food is delicious but my favorite are the Eggs Benedict and if you don't know which to choose get the Trifecta so you don't have to! Overall, great experience and worth the wait because it does get busy!
Ester Garrido
We started with the seasonal beignets, served with fresh cream and berries (so good!)
We then ordered two drinks
The Bloody Mary which was perfectly balanced in tomato flavor with just the right kick of spice.
I ordered the iced Irish coffee which hit the spot for this HOT New Orleans summer day!
Followed by the mix and Match egg bennies!
A perfect portion for us to share!
Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious!
The service was wonderful the atmosphere is quant and clean. Lovely all around, would definitely recommend!
Lauren Haag
My husband and I had this spot on our list of restaurants when we went to NOLA. We were not disappointed! Strong morning cocktails and delicious brunch! Plenty of options at fair prices and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend!
A. S.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch.
Rita Toombs
Oh boy great place the atmosphere was so pleasant and the staff was super friendly 👌 and the Shrimp and grits was sooo very good 👍 😋
Eliseanne Coco
Awesome food and service!!! Guess what?!?! No wait Wednesday's and half off happy hour with breakfast.
Brian Learson
If you're hungry after a long night of partying in the FQ, go to the Ruby Slipper. Thank me later.
Martin Webster
Great place, excellent breakfast and very friendly service. Would definitely go back. In fact, we went twice in the four days we were in New Orleans. My wife said it was the best avocado toast she's ever had.
Ben Averley
Great local spot. Everything we ate was delicious and the staff are friendly.
Jordan Roberts
Great atmosphere very clean looking establishment service was fast and very attentive food was spot on and the presentation of was great as well.
Daniel Baruffi
Cute little breakfast spot. Creative menu items with a southern feel. Service was okay, but waitress didn't seem to know a lot about the menu... A lot of staff turnover is my guess. Food was great, I got bananas foster French toast.
McKenzey Smith
We got the fried green tomatoes Benny, cheesecake beingets, and the biscuits and gravy. My husband is EXTREMELY picky on his gravy's and usually dislikes most at restaurants. This gravy was definitely homemade and absolutely delicious. The friend green tomato Benedict was delicious, and the beingets we're amazing. Portions were very reasonable for the price and we took leftovers. All the staff was incredibly friendly, and we loved the option to sit outside. Would definitely recommend.
Tameeka Barnett
Must visit when you go to NewOrleans. The food was really good! The device was the best. Michelle was really professional and really sweet. When you go request her as your sever.
Travis Pace
Excellent breakfast! Great selection...fast service!
Virginia McMurray
We had a fabulous brunch here! Tony was an amazing server, giving us many menu and even cooking tips for the gluten-sensitive person in our party. This location was relaxed and less crowded than other locations we have visited in the area. Really a terrific experience with fabulous food and service.
Donald Davis
Eggs Cochon Benedict was wonderful. Probably not the dish to start your diet with, but you don’t get delicate pulls of pork on a biscuit with a poached egg and hollandaise every day! This is a step above breakfast. There is another breakfast place near by that I thought was very good. This place is excellent! Nice people too!
Renee D Dumas
One of my favorites. A must try. Friend French toast bites are to die for. I applaude the staff make you really feel at home
Mr Curtis
Nothing special...staff that i encountered weren't that welcoming. Got in early before the rush and so food came in decent time. Had bbq shrimp and grits. The butter for the biscuit (which I'm not sure if it's supposed to be very hard) was the best part of the dish flavor wise. Lots of shrimp for the grits so didnt feel cheated in that aspect.
Half Ogre
Excellent breakfast; Great decor; Friendly staff ... Really enjoyed the experience.
Dee Deigh
Stopped for breakfast and the food was delicious with very generous portion. Server was also very attentive.
Spencer Marks
This place has an excellent breakfast and wait staff!
P Jones
Bring back the banana pecan pancake. Everything else is perfect. Why change the menu when you have something good going?
Zack KC
Superb service and food. Came here this morning with my wife and dad. The cochon benedict, crawfish benedict, shrimp and grits, beignets and ice coffee were delicious. Located in the historic Frenchmen street area.
Latosha Foster
OMG OMG 😍 Loved it! Do sad we found it on our last day. Alcohol infused coffee, mimosas, bloody Mary's. Breakfast was AMAZING! Our best breakfast while visiting! …
Mel Johnson
Ate breakfast there while we waited for our hotel to get ready. The waitress was really nice the food was excellent
Tiffy Taylor
Great food and Good customer service!!
The wait was long, but the food was worth it!
theniceone06
Definitely a different experience for me as I have not had french southern cuisine before. I love anything new.
Davinsdad mike
All the food was really good. Service was excellent! Tony was fast and super nice.
Josh Michelson
Food is out of sight here. I would highly recommend this place. The server was very friendly and very helpful. The cam put fast and hot
Terri Dursh
So good. Herman provided us excellent service. The french toast bites were amazing. Will make this a priority on a return trip. Walking distance from the Quarter.
Temekin Riley
visited this location today for brunch for my friend bachelorette! we had a party of 9 she was great!!! she separated our checks for us!! very rare with heavy group!!! thank you michelle M
S Bo
The restaurant appeared interesting from first glance while looking it up online. When we arrived, they had a long line, though we had a shorter wait time than expected. One thing that stuck out to us though was the service. Our server wasn’t very attentive nor personable and it left us with more to be desired and disappointed. Although the food was decent, I’m not in a rush to go back.
Corley Bonk
Great sourhern breakfast food.
anat pes
I took Half Chicken St. Charles and half Eggs Cochon. The chicken gravy is divine! (chicken itself was ok) The Cochon meat was tender and perfect texture but under seasoned and the gravy was cheesy and not real hollandaise (good thing I asked it on the side)
When I added the gravy from the chicken and some salt it was much better.
Jeff Spicoli
Great atmosphere and service. My eggs Benedict chocon came out a bit quick and was not as hot as I would have liked. Flavor was good however and I would recommend/return.
Candace Carroll-Johnson
Amazing food, y'all! The portions were LARGE. I ordered The Peacemaker (one smoked Salmon and the other was the shrimp boogaloo). I'm a foodie to the core and was kind of skeptical of the food only because food in typical tourist areas are lackluster. This food did not disappoint. Not a single person in my group was disappointed. Words do this food no justice. Go, guys!
We also had drinks (peach Bellini and Ruby Mimosas). They had some KICK to em! LOL I will definitely be back!
Mia Renee
How do you sweet heat chicken and french toast bites? The French toast bites were completely overdone, however, the flavors are really good. My friend had the peacemaker which came with the crawfish and grits Benedict and the shrimp bayou Benedict. She said the shrimp didn't taste too good. However, she was tickled with her crawfish and grits Benedict. Service was amazing TONY WAS GREAT!
flavors are here. It's so good it's I wish these FRENCH TOAST bites had not been so overdone. They're more like croutons. I've been here one time years ago and we came back cuz the food was good. Think I'll probably check out somewhere else for breakfast next time.
Ngoc Ngo
Great place for brunch! Lots of eggs Benedict options. All of the ones we tried were delicious. But my favorite part of the meal was the bellini! It had a fresh peachy taste and reminded me of Venice. Most of the ones I've tried elsewhere had an artificial syrup-y taste.
Service was good as well, but the wait was long so be prepared!
Adam “Bison Court” D
Delicious, well prepared food, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Absolutely recommended if you're nearby.
Shelby McPherson
Great Brunch spot! Eggs Benedict were great and the rice pudding pancakes were the best pancakes I've ever had!
Erin Zamora
The food! The diversity! The staff! Everything! It's absolutely amazing here! And our waitress Michelle was the sweetest! I can't say enough good things about Ruby Slipper. We'll be back every single time we're in NOLA!
Seth Monk
Ruby Slipper Cafe was our favorite choice of the trip. We ate brunch there on the morning of our last day…and it was worth it. Obviously, you NEED to join the waitlist as soon as you can if you want to eat here. This location isn’t AS busy as those in the French Quarter. However, it was still very busy here, and the waitlist time still got up into the 55-75 min wait. My suggestion, order the Chicken and French toast bites…best dish on the menu.
Ronald Barrow
What a fantastic place to enjoy a unique breakfast. The staff was wonderful and the food exquisite.
Isabel Patton
I have never been to a restaurant so rich in flavor and variety. The portions were good for the price and authenticity . I had Egg Benedict!
Hunter Hinesly
Their check in and waiting system needs lots of help and the door man was rude and snappy with guests as they waited outside. They use an online system to check you in to reserve your spot, but if you don't physically check in as well then you'll never be seated and they don't explain this to people as they spend an hour or longer waiting outside for a reservation.
The food is amazing though, so if you know how to actually reserve a table it's worth it.
Beverly
What an amazing little find! My husband and I walked to the cafe from an air b and b a few blocks away and were blown away by the hospitality of the staff from host to busboy to our server Mindy…then comes the phenomenal food-5 stars!! So uniquely put together…you will not be sorry!
Amy Smith
All I have to say is…Bananas Foster French Toast!!! It is so delicious and a must have! The staff is very nice, attentive, and just wonderful all around.
Carlos A Dominguez
Great breakfast place in an old historic bank building - specializing in souther style breakfast.
Shakia Purdie
We had a great time!! Michelle was the best server! She was awesome
Ashley Julien
Amazing food and hospitality. Michelle M was an amazing server. Thank you!
Lee Wan Wan
French toast with fried chicken!!
Stephanie Keown
Fantastic breakfast! We loved it so much we went back the next day! Banana's Foster French Toast is amazing, and make sure you try a breakfast beverage.
sp4c3 1nv4d3r
Incredible nice place for breakfast with friendly service, a lot of coffee to choose from and the atmosphere of Bonny & Clyde.
Patrick H.
It was very good. It was highly recommended and I am glad we took the time to go. The bit in the middle was a result of me being silly and dropping a french toast bite into my cappuccino.
Rachel Metz
I had such a yummy breakfast here on my last day in NOLA! I arrived close to opening time and was seated right away. The AC cooled me right down, and the waitress was super sweet and helpful (and I loved her rainbow knee-high socks)! I was starving when I first arrived, so I ordered both the breakfast tacos and the French toast bites. I ordered the breakfast tacos with potatoes instead of eggs as I don’t eat the latter, and they were AMAZING. Seriously, so good. I’d recommend them to anyone. The French toast bites were also great, and I loved that they came with that delicious praline drizzle to make them unique to the area!
Bigpun Young
Great place GREAT food just wish it gave a little bit more of it for the price not for the baller on a budget
Nicholas McElveen
Sat at the bar, friendly staff, good BBQ Shrimp and Grits. I enjoy the gravy for the biscuits as well.
I want to try the Trifecta next time, it looks really good and filling.
There was a wait for tables. Make a reservation or plan to sit at the bar.
Jim Schultz
Great brunch. Set in an old bank. Service very good
Billy Ford
Even after paying 11 bucks for two pieces of bread sprinkled with sugar and two pieces of bacon...I'm gonna give this place 5 stars. My wife's breakfast was the same price and much more complex. I just bought some special bread or something. If you're in the area, stop by...lots of history.
Amanda Holt
Busy busy place. Food was outstanding! A dish was received incorrect but it was corrected and was delightful. Server Nicholas S. was absolutely fabulous to us. Will be back!
Emily Vowls
Wonderful experience. Had the French toast bites and they were absolutely delicious. Perfect crunch! Came with what I think was praline sauce which complemented them perfectly. My server Michelle M. was also super polite and very accommodating. Would recommend it for anyone else looking for breakfast in Marigny!
Robert Walters
We had the Migas, Chicken St. Charles, and eggs Cochon. and Ruby Mimosas. great food & service
JoJoe Williams
This place had a great atmospher, quick and friendly service, and the food was good. Not really a criticism but I would at Tabasco to the table
Martha Serrato
Everything we tried was amazing! Great portion sizes and they don't skimp on alcohol in their beverages! They do have a wait pretty much always, the Nowait app is great for this place.
Lee Barton
As always, the food and service was great!! One of our favorite local places for brunch/lunch. We live this location because it is tucked away in the Marigny neighborhood.
L T
Our server Michelle was amazing. She was helpful with helping make food choices. She was sweet and made sure we was food
Michael Tsaltas
Came here for my friends bachelor weekend and had a fantastic experience! We had Angelina M as our server and she was so pleasant with us. Some food you think, "This was good, but not worth the price". That's not the case here. Every cent was well spent and each dish that our party got was well prepared and presented magnificently! Had a great time!
Robert Heine
Great service, tasty food, and friendly staff.
Latasha Collins
The food was great n the service was off the hook. Michelle was the best. I'm for sure coming back. N I hope I get Michelle again.
Elese Mathis
Simply Fantastic! The salmon egg benedict was my favorite. I would love to go again.
Mark S
Angelica was a great waitress and made great recommendations, even though we had eaten at different locations many times. I tried some new stuff because of her, and will try a couple more before it is over.
First time at this location and it was great. Not only was the food good as always, but you are basically a block off Frenchmen Street. The location on Magazine near where we were staying had a 3 hour wait. We too a ride share over, and walked back down Frenchman to Decatur Street and did some shopping and site seeing on the way back to our hotel.
Excellent addition to the Ruby Slipper locations.
Beau keally
Amazing food! Highly recommended! The French toast bites are soooo good! The slipper fits!
Cool tip: look at the ceiling opposite the entrance to see how Ruby Slippery Cafe came to be!
James Woolway
The eggs Benedict on biscuits were phenomenal, and the service was brilliant.
Jo C
Omg the food was so good. The trifecta is the bomb. Definitely recommend that.
Desi Mora
Great breakfast place in NOLA. Service was friendly and the food selection was great. Great Biscuits. Coffee is very strong if you are into that kind of stuff!
Melody De Costa
awesome breakfast. Even better waitress! So glad our Uber driver recommended this place.
Vee Boogie
Oh my goodness the food 🥘 is sooo yummy. We went twice on a 4 day visit. Hospitality 5 stars ✨ food 5 stars ✨ drinks 5 stars ✨ …
Debra Ramos-Boyas
Our waitress Teri was wonderful. She was polite and respectful and offered great suggestions. The food, especially the grits....amazing. I gave 4 stars because the hostess, Pam was horrible, rude in every way and couldn't be bothered. We would have walked out when she couldn't even greet us when we walked in, not even after we greeted her! We chose to stay because we were hungry. People like her, should work away from the public. As I said, our waitress was great and so was the food. Try it, you'll it. Just know that after you deal with Pam, everything will be awesome.
Brianna Schramm
Tried out this gem for breakfast and can’t say enough. They make an awesome virgin Bloody Mary! We ordered the biscuits and gravy, the 3 little pigs, and the peach beignet, all was phenomenal and came out quick!
The ENTIRE staff was welcoming and super friendly! Would highly recommend!
Peggy Feldt
Food was awesome! Staff was super friendly! I wish we had one up in the northeast
Amy Douglas
Excellent breakfast, kind and helpful staff. Wonderful spot!
Renee Caughman
Never fails to be the best brunch of the trip. See you in the summer
Ludena G (Lulu)
Awesome food and GREAT hospitality. Our server Teri was amazing and she took very good care of us, We loved her. She made the end of our trip wonderful.
jamie williams
Went back to the Ruby Slipper that I know because the one on Broad is horrible, it’s cute and all but terrible food.
Service was amazing. The big guy opened the door for us and some lady seated us right away. My daughter and I had the server with locs and he was definitely a pleasure to have. He was a kid mind reader and he was really good at serving. He knew the menu really well so I just told him what I wanted and he put in whatever in was called. He’s really good with kids! He took amazingly good care of my daughter and her kid needs/wants! Mind you, I was on a phone call most of the meal and he was not phased by it. Smooth, seamless, effective, and efficient! He would be way across the restaurant and looking and nodding to make sure we were good, even from afar when I would pick my head up and he thought I needed something. From now on, it’s this location for me! Only negative is street parking, of course.
brandon patrick
The food is beyond good. Great customer service, and the atmosphere is amazing!! Definitely try there signature dishes. Raven was our waitresss this place is the best and will 100% come back!!!
Shaka Rawls (IMPACTINGCHANGE)
This was worth the walk! Great service and down home atmosphere!
SamuraiNola2021
Beautiful atmosphere and the food choices were absolutely delicious
Ryan Carroll
Really nice staff and even better food. Get the southern breakfast
Danielle Root
Awesome food, service, price, atmosphere. We loved this place!
Jazmine fe'
Had a great breakfast, Lauren was our server very nice. But, when we first walked in Herman was the host & he was extremely rude. My friend and I were talking about the last time we came there and he rudely inserted himself to the point where a man had to step in. He is an extremely rude and unsightly employee and I had heard from others he was rude to them simply because he was supposed to be off that day. If you walk in and see an older black man named Herman, tread lightly, he just might be having a terrible day & try to ruin yours as well.
Stephanie
The food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the crayfish and grits and white chocolate bread pudding pancakes. Our server Pamela was on top of everything and is a fun and quirky lady!
Becca F
Went for brunch. Lady bartender was rude as heck. Waiter and host were nice. Food was okay. Mimosa was tasty but a bit overpriced. There are better brunch places out there in terms of value. I prefer the Mid City location over this one.
Holly Null
THE BEST PLACE IN NOLA!! The service was amazing as was the food. Terri, the bartender, was the best. It was busy and she still was on it. If you check in online just be sure to also check in with them so they know you’re still there.
Domenica Padron
The food is just incredible! Michelle was a great server made our experience incredible!
Shannon Nester
We went here and got the Trifeca breakfast, and for someone who lives benedict's and Creole food, this was the best option.
I love how diverse the taste profile was. Each of the three benedict's were so different so I felt like I had 3 different experiences in the same meal and all were wonderful.
The bloody Mary was also very tasty. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Colleen Rogalski
Wish I could give 10 stars for the service and incredible food. I will dream of this meal for the rest of my life! Great atmosphere, the waiting list moves fast, food is quick with excellent presentation. It's away from the party neighborhood so it's very easy to get to!
Karen Hartfield
They have a few locations in the area. The food is always delicious. The drinks are good too! The staff is always pleasant.
Paul Hamilton
Great food, service, and retro decor in a beautiful old bank building.
Dr. Theresa Horne
Food was just okay. No vegan selections and chef wouldn't even try so that was disappointing being the only vegan in the group. Setting was ok, not upscale. More of a walk up style Cafe. Server wasn't the most personable but the hostess staff were really nice.
Kellie Nestrud
The food here is always Amazing. Definitely try the French toast bites if you're in the mood for something sweet! Staff has also been excellent everytine we have been. It is our go to for brunch when in NOLA.
B Benhan
The food was amazing, staff was very frienldy, and price and portions are very reasonable. EGG COCHON brought me back every morning we were here!!
James “Timone TwoTone”
Sever was knowledgeable and offered great breakfast choices. Had the french toast bites and the mix and match eggs benedict. It wasn't overly busy and staff was attentive. The staff followed covid guidelines, and were very polite. Definitely stop by here when you can.
Joe Clement
Really tasty, great drinks and service. Never had Eggs Benedict with poached, hard boiled eggs. Can not recommend.
andy padre
Tony was a great waiter and I wish we had talked to him at the start of our visit. His service and the food was great. He also gave us great recommendations and a short history lesson of the 'hood. The souther breakfast was a great variety of things including a fried green tomato, biscuit, grits
Jen The Tician
Fabulous brunch place. First time in NOLA and stopped in here on our last full day. There are several locations so check around to see which one has the shortest wait (To be fair, this was a Sat morning so busy is as busy does)
We went to the location on Burgundy and baby we had THE best food with an amazing waitress. Pamela M. really started off my morning in a great and positive way. She knows a lot about her city and that pride radiates in her work in a beautiful way.
If you’re into interesting flavors, please try the Hot Chicken and French toast bites! Fried green tomatoes were a perfect start and any one of those Benedicts were a great choice.
Thank you for having us! Can’t wait to visit again ❤️
Isabella Schaffer
Food was great, service was great. Atmosphere was great. Something was wrong with my order and they fixed it immediately. Enjoyed the whole experience!
Shannon O'Donnell
So many people recommended this place while I came to visit Nola. The Benedict choices here are amazing. Food coma for sure. So good!!!
Tiff Any
I just really didn't like it. It was overjoyed. The cinnapancakes were dry. The breakfast sandwich was not exciting and the iced coffee was just average. It was not nasty but it wasn't "great" just average.
De Bel
First time and Ruby Slippers and wasn't sure on what to expect from the food and service. We walked in and was greeted with a warm welcome. Our server Michelle M by far has been one of the best here. She's delightful, she made great recommendations, and was very attentive to our needs. Food was great and server is the BOMB!!! Check this place out on your next outing in New Orleans. Ask for Michelle M.
Abigail H
The crab Benedict special didn’t disappoint and Pamela is a fabulous, welcoming bartender.
michelle ridenour
Delicious extremely busy and crowded but to be expected because it's quite popular.
Alice Stevens
Had 3 starters to share for a quick lunch. Just perfect, and easy parking.
Shelley Vaags
One of the highlights of my vacation. The staff was so friendly and the food delicious. I meant to go back to try more of the menu items but had to leave before I got the chance.
adanteis
Absolutely wonderful flavors. Will definitely visit again on my next trip to NOLA.
Bailee Cordi
I’m coming here specifically to highlight our wonderful server Michelle! She was lovely to us and honestly brought our mood from good to great with her awesome attitude 👍🏻 I love when servers add to the experience!
Greshiona Mcknight
Michelle was Amazing! Best waitress so far since I been in town this weekend ! Absolutely awesome !!
Jeff Walker
Place looks nice, staff was rude
Twin Jamo
Food was OK. Didn't like the eggs because they were not real. You could literally taste the chemical in them. The grits were nice and hearty however. The service was lovely. They sure know how to make you feel at home.
Michael Poehner
Great selection of brunch foods. Yummy all around.
Sheenah Reyes
We loved our experience here the food was spectacularly delicious and Michelle M was absolutely AMAZING so welcoming and friendly felt as if we knew her for years. We will definitely be recommending this restaurant for not only the amazing food but for the friendly staff. Everyone was so nice. Thank you!
Jenne Holmes
Have now been to both locations in NOLA and neither disappointed. Food was great, server was friendly and atmosphere was laid back.
Lora Lucas
Veronica is amazing! The food was phenomenal and the champs flights are the best!!
Kristopher Gordon
This place was nice. Had the banana foster french toast. Come with bacon. Can never go wrong with french toast and bacon
Jonathan Perkins
Amazing breakfast and brunch spot. Glad they were open Easter as many other spots had closed. Made sure to tip well for the great service we received!
Xingnan Zhou
Waited for 2 hours. The food was ok, don't think worth the 2 hours wait time
carol bannister
The food here is amazing and the service is awesome. Will be coming back
Benjamin Bauer
5 star service! Great food and drink and the people are wonderful.
Dominic Poggi
Great little spot near Frenchman St. Food was delicious, came out fast and the service was great. Our server, Tony, was super friendly and gave us some good recommendations for the rest of our day.
Roger Bailey
Loves it! Pamaala was great..so many selections to choose from...very tasty!
Dea Bridge
This is the second time on our trip we came to Ruby slipper. Kave was our waiter and he was amazing, he listened when I asked for Soda water instead of still. He was quick to get our order accurately and bring the food. He checked on us several times and had great conversation.
The Blue Crab Cake and the fried Green Tomatoes app is amazing. The preach bellini was awesome too.
We will be back for again. Ruby skippers on Burgundy is the best location.
Candi
I enjoyed the BBQ shrimp & grits.
denise puckett
Great place to eat! Food was great, service was great, just a wonderful experience. Very busy but fast. If you have to wait its well worth it.
Lakisha J
The food was good but the waiter Michelle was great!. She was extremely attentive and patient. And had a nice and pleasant attitude to go along with it
Krista Bozek
The breakfast was really good and looked amazing!
Jeanette
Very limited seating inside. Waited and hour & some to get seated. Then almost another hour to get our food. But the burger was delicious. Fries a little cold. Service a tad spotty. But the bacon burger made it ok👌 …
Isabel Mrosek
The food was amazing, but our hostess/Waiter Chris made our experience the BEST. He not only had the best suggestions for all of us, but his personality was the highlight of our trip. Do yourself a favor and ask for the white chocolate pancakes & for Chris to be your server!
Allan
Great breakfast could have just ordered the butter whipped with sugar cane and a biscuit and be totally satisfied with my choice.
Safe Travels
Randy Bognatz
Wow! Just a lovely place. Our waitress was super friendly and the food was to die for.
Barbara Selman
Very neat place! Service and food were excellent. Outside and indoor seating!
Sara Chance
We had a wonderful time & our server Taranesha was fantastic!
Callie Kresta
We went twice during our trip. Service at the bar and table were both great! Shrimp Benedict, port omelette, french toast and biscuits and gravy were all delicious. Try their breakfast margaritas!
Andrew Smith
Ruby Slipper was recommended by a friend as a must stop on vacation. It did not disappoint in anyway. Food was amazing and our sever Tony was awesome. Gave us great tips on things to do in and out of the city.
Janice Willier
Tony was a gem and made our day. The service is wonderful here, the food comes out perfect, and it's always worth the wait! Thank you, Tony, for the smiles and stories and making sure my mimosas kept coming!
Elizabeth Ruddy
Their French toast bites are TO DIE FOR!!!! I wish I could I get them overnighted (with the praline sauce!) to my home! 😭🤤🤤🤤 went here a few times while we were in town - everything was absolutely delicious and I’m so sad I won’t have access back here in Colorado. Love this place …
Robin Hurst
Best food in all of new Orleans!!! Excellent, friendly staff!
Raul rivera
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BREAKFAST!!! Everyone is very nice, and their pancakes 🥞 are do die for!!! …
Jessica Rossman
Delicious! The king cake French toast and the sampler of eggs Benedict was a perfect breakfast
M S
MICHELLE is an absolute rockstar and took the best care of us! 10/10 recommend the skinny migas. Girl deserves a raise, she made sure our whole table was happy from the moment we sat down to the moment we checked out.
Alyssa Carter
I enjoyed the Corned Beef Hash Eggs Benedict on 2 mornings and the Banana Fosters French Toast on one morning. My spouse always just ordered the Southern Breakfast of fried eggs, bacon, fried green tomato, grits and homemade biscuit. Love, love, love this place. There were two locations within walking distance of our hotel.
Ebony
The food overall is good. I was disappointed in the shrimp and grits this last time. I'll stick to the benedicts. Their mimosas are always a good idea.
Samantha Doherty
The food was incredible and our server Michelle was absolutely amazing! We visited here all the way from NY and I’m so glad we checked this place out while down here! Thank you Michelle!❤️❤️
Jake L
We were in NOLA for a weekend trip, heading back home Sunday morning. Wanted good breakfast/brunch that we couldn't get back home. Ruby Slipper did not disappoint! Showed up at around 10:15 and they took our phone number. They were crowded and it isn't a huge place. We did not call ahead or make any reservation. No waiting room inside (totally fine with us) and they asked us not to stand in front of peoples houses immediately out the door, which is understandable. We walked a block or two and found a spot to hang for about 30 minutes. The area was fine- sort of typical New Orleans street. Got the call and walked right back over. Service could not have been better, and the food knocked my socks off!! A variety of benedicts, all amazing. Banana Foster French toast was devine. Really, its a super legitimate menu. Everything we ordered was outstanding and it took a normal amount of time to prepare and serve. All appropriate temperature and very fair portions. Will look to come back next trip!
Tony Ayala
The Trifecta and pig candy....so beautiful. Perfection. Friendly staff and fast on the food. I will be back.
Steven Pearson
This place deserves the reputation it has. The menu is not large, but the food is unique and delicious.
Spent a 5 day weekend down there with a group of 10+ people and it was good enough that we went back 3 times!
Michael Branan
Had breakfast here a few days ago. Everything was awesome! Absolutely delicious biscuits, delightful Bloody Marys, and great service. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Cannot recommend it enough.
EDIT: I should add a couple points:
1) we went to the location on Burgundy
2) we loved this place so much that we came back a few days later and again on the morning we left to drive home. I really want to go back and try more of the awesome menu!
Thanks for having such an awesome place!
K Love
I don't think it matters what you order. The food is amazing!
Partha Naidu
This was the best brunch I've ever had. I'd sacrifice all of my morals for their French toast.
Victoria` Davis
5 star all the way. Our food was out of this world
Andy Norris
Fantastic food and service

Thankful for the servers being aware I was gluten free and dairy free, was still able to enjoy a specialty "Irish coffee" drink and had some food options that fit!

Great breakfast! A little neighborhood breakfast joint with delicious Benedicts. We did the Benedict combo, and I had the shrimp with fried green tomatoes. Yum!! We sat outside, but there was ample seating inside. Reasonably priced. I’ll definitely go back!
