Reviews of Morrow's

Hands down THE BEST OYSTERS in NOLA!!! The oysters NOLA were excellent. The old fashioned was also good. We were pleased with the foods, drinks, music, and ambiance. The food took a little while but came out piping hot so it was clearly cooked fresh. I am not a dessert person but I decided to try the peach cobbler and it was OUTSTANDING. Service was excellent from the wait staff and bartender. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant has some of the best food I've ever had. The suggestion to try Morrow's was provided by a friendly airport employee. The restaurant does not take reservations and when we arrived the hostess gave us a 45 min wait time after adding our names to the wait list. We waited outside for approx 25 mins, went inside to check on the status and were immediately seated. We arrived at 2:15pm (Thursday) and the place was packed. When we left around 4pm, the crowd had thinned.
The food did not disappoint. I ordered the fried chicken, red beans and rice, and macaroni and cheese. Delicious! The mac and cheese was creamy with the perfect blend of seasoning and texture. My lunch companion had the seafood platter. Her only complaint was the fried oysters were fried too long. She allowed me to try the shrimp and oysters and they seemed perfect to me - tasty and crunchy. I started with a small bowl of gumbo. Delicious as well. For dessert there was bread pudding. A large portion served hot with whipped cream.
The service at our table was very slow. Our server was very nice so maybe she had too many tables at that time. I don't know what the issue was. I want to visit again before my vacation ends. I definitely recommend this place and the price is more than reasonable.

Parking was limited but we lucked up. Loved the atmosphere! Nice selection of R&B music playing in the background. Not to mention the food was AMAZING!! Seasoned to taste! Glazed Salmon was just right! Very nice spot to chill with significant other and/or friends just hanging out. Natural lighting was also a plus. The staff were all super nice too! Definitely adding to my list of restaurants to visit whenever I'm in the city.

The oysters are amazing. I was in town for an accounting conference. This was our first stop. The lemon drops, the service, the bread pudding (celebrating my birthday, cheers to 41). I had the catfish & crawfish pasta and my daughter had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were very tough but aside from that everything was perfect. The best oysters we had all week. Thanks for kicking off my birthday 🎉

We tried to come to Morrow’s on a Friday night. We called ahead and they couldn’t give us an exact wait time. We arrive a little after 6PM and they told us the wait was three hours. We didn’t have a reservation so we made one for the next day at 1PM.
We arrived the next day at 1PM and we’re seated right away. We ordered our drinks and food. Everything that came out was perfect. I had the fried chicken and it was crunch and juicy.
The service was great and you would love the food here. I will definitely be recommending it to others.

The food was perfect...
We arrived to a young lady (hostess) and man (security) having a private conversation in front of the restaurant. It wasn't until we went inside did we realize they worked at Morrow's. There were a few young men who looked like servers standing behind the building as well. The hostess told us the wait would be 30-45 minutes but there wasn't a wait at the bar.. we wanted a table but had to catch her from going back outside to let her know. She was definitely preoccupied. A few customers left after we had been waiting about 5 minutes. The hostess said a table would be cleared and we could sit. She then took a personal call that took 15 minutes. We were seated after that. The waitress took 10 minutes before acknowledging us. She brought a glass of water and said she would be right back. 15 minutes later, she reappeared. We decided to order everything we wanted at once. The lemon drops we ordered were immediately made by the bartender but sat at the bar for several minutes before being brought to us. A server brought our food and we still hadn't seen the waitress again. I dropped my fork, another waitress moved around me as I picked it up. A few moments later, the hostess began preparing the center table - although the restaurant states they don't accept reservations. I asked her for another fork and she provided it - AFTER setting the center table with silverware, napkins, and straws. Whomever the special guests were still hadn't arrived after we left... another 20 minutes waiting for our check. There's a two hour limit at the table... we spent most of that time waiting on the poor service. The food and server deserves 5 stars but the hostess and wait staff were deplorable.

Relaxed and nice vibe with good music. The food was incredibly good. The shrimp was super tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and crispy. The mac was very creamy and delicious. The red beans were soft and had good flavor. We waited about 5 mins or so to be serviced and the food took about 20 mins. Great experience and very reasonable priced for portions, would recommend.

We tried Morrow's based on a recommendation from a Big Freedia YouTube video. It was everything she said it would be. The grilled chicken was seasoned perfectly. We also had the Bulgogi and it was perfect as well. My only complaint is the music was so loud it was difficult to have a conversation without shouting. It was like being in a club and we really couldn't hear the server. The service is slow but friendly. The cocktails are perfectly made, the old fashioned was one of the best. Happy hour prices and great.

This place is a must when you visit New Orleans the food and drinks are amazing. I just recently started eating chicken again and the fried chicken is a must! I had the Marrows fried chicken with the Mac and cheese and potato salad can I just say the fried chicken was super tender and juicy well seasoned. The Mac and cheese was baked to perfection and the potato salad is smashingly amazing good. Also had the Charbroil oysters and those were amazingly good also. Everyone in my party said their food was delicious. Be prepared there is a long wait but me and my girlfriends walked right up to the bar and waited for seats to become available and they did within 15 to 20 minutes. Definitely will be going back next time I visit New Orleans

Food was great. The drinks bomb. The atmosphere lit. If u ever in the Nola or just live here. Make ur way to Morrow’s. U won’t be disappointed. And if u get Nicole L as ur server. She is amazing. Tip her good.

I was visiting Nola and heard about the party promoter Larry Morrow's new restaurant so I wanted to try it. I wasn't disappointed. I went on a Sunday for Brunch and although I waited an hour for a seat It was worth the wait. The staff was pleasant and attentive. The venue is small and intimate. There are no TV's or DJ Booth so I was surprised by that. This is a place for groups or a date in my evaluation.
I had the Shrimp and Grits and Chicken and waffles. Both were great and I enjoyed my Froze drink. The food was done well but it did take awhile before my food came out. Overall I highly recommend the place and I will go back again on my next trip to Nola.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans! Everyone in our group enjoyed their food. The Morrow's oysters were very good, even people in our group that don't eat oysters were loving them. The cajun crawfish pasta was amazing! That's the best thing I ate my entire vacation. My bf had the red fish yeah with the mashed potatoes & bbq shrimp on top, and he really enjoyed it. The salmon was cooked to perfection, red beans and rice really flavorful, and my cousin enjoyed the fried chicken meal and loved the mac and cheese.

Service at Morrow's is what EVERY RESTAURANT should strive their staff to provide!!! We arrived 15 minutes before our 7:45pm reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. We were greeted with smile by a fabulous and helpful hostess! Nora was our server, she was courteous, pleasant and provided EXCELLENT service! We had BBQ shrimp as our appetizer, fried chicken with baked mac and cheese as well as mash potatoes, pasta with catfish, a shrimp poboy and a catfish poboy both with fries. All the food were DELICIOUS - STANDOUT DISHES WERE THE BBQ AND FRIED CHICKEN! I requested our server Nora bring me a side of rice to finish off the sauce that came the the NOLA style BBQ shrimp...it was THAT GOOD!!!!! For dessert we enjoyed brownie a la mode and peach cobbler a la mode. I cannot provide enough compliments to Morrow's from our arrival, to the hostess, to our server and until it was time to leave, it was a wonderful and memorable experience!!!! I would give Morrow's 10 stars if I could!!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this place! This was some of the best food I had in New Orleans. One of my favorite dishes from the restaurant was their spicy barbecue shrimp. When I tell you guys that this had so much flavor... It's insane how delicious this was. I also ordered their crawfish pasta and that also was amazingly delicious. It came with fried catfish on, And that was cooked to perfection. The vibe of this restaurant is so lively and friendly, and this is an amazing spot to come and get drinks and delicious food with friends. I definitely recommend this as a must to visit place in New Orleans, and I am already planning my next trip back. I said at the bar and also got some delicious cocktails I think my favorite was the Hennessey margarita. I can't say enough good things about this place and wish they had a location right next to me!

This place was on a person's YouTube as a top restaurant. Me and my family visited here around lunchtime, the place wasn't busy at all. Our waitress took our order, gave us a few recommendations and then disappeared. Our food took a while to come out and our waitress wasn't attentive at all. She never came to refill drinks, check on us, or inform us about our food.
I ordered the seafood platter, catfish, shrimp, oysters, fries and a cup of gumbo. Mu sister and I ordered seafood bread but it didnt have nothing on Nice Guys! I never got the gumbo but she sure tried to charge for it. My dad ordered red beans and rice which I thought were okay.
We passed by a few days later and they had a line outside. .. 🤷🏾♀️

Let me start off by saying, OMG!!!! This place was amazing!! Like, for real amazing! This is my 3rd time in Nola and I’m always trying different food, gotta try soul food, seafood, Cajun and so forth. My husband told me to try this place and I’m so glad we did! Service was 100% perfect! Our waitress was so friendly and cool as heck. We tried gumbo, crawfish bread, oysters, Cajun pasta and fried catfish was all soo good! We had the frozen drinks and ended with peach cobbler!!! I can’t wait to come back!!!!

A very sought of eatery in New Orleans. The wait time was about an hour. They do not accept reservations. Once we sat down our sever promptly came over to us to take our drink orders. Once she came back with the drinks she was ready to take our appetizer order. I ordered the crawfish bread & a cup of gumbo. Let me tell you, that crawfish bread was amazing & out of this world!!! Highly recommend. For my entree I ordered fried chicken (dark) with Mac & cheese & cabbage. The way they make their mac and cheese is more of a cheese sauce vs the traditional baked. It was good. The cabbage was very good and flavorful, had some spice to it. The chicken was the perfect amount of crispy. The server was friendly. Although they were busy, she moved fast, but not in a way you would feel rushed. I would recommend to others.

Bing Bong, absolutely amazing! These have to be the freshest oysters I’ve ever had 🦪 the shrimp has a style of its own and the catfish is fresh and fluffy. Thanks Myrielle M 💯

Hands Down!!!! The best resturant I have been to in New Orleans. I went to their brunch that is only on Sundays. Try to get there early as it's first come first serve no reservations. There is such a nice ambiance of the place and the vibe is so nice with how they have the place decorated. The strawberry mimosa is a must try such a great way to start of brunch. The oysters were 5 stars very delicious and worth to try if you havent already done so. The shrimp and grits were my favorite!!!Filled with flavor. I had asked for extra bacon on the side to really set off my meal. Last the steak and eggs was great as well as you could never go wrong with that pairing. The resturant it's self is amazing. The staff was super friendly and inviting as well. You definitely want to visit this place. It's worth every dollar you spend trust me when I say you will love it!!!

The wait is totally worth it. I’m only giving 4 stars because of the wait. Zo our waiter was clearly busy, but totally came through when we ordered the lettuce wraps and got very little meat. He came out with another bowl a couple minutes later. Everyone raves about Willy Mae’s Scotch House, but we are here to tell you let this serve as an AMAZING alternative! The garlic mashed potatoes, the corn muffin, and the tartar sauce that came with the seafood platter, must have been created with a higher power in mind. We all had a great time and the tunes they were playing were in fire!

At our Lyft driver's recommendation, we came here for the best red beans and rice. We were not disappointed. Everything was great, especially the Mac and cheese. We went long spans of time without seeing our server so I wouldn't go here if you're in a hurry.

The food we had here was really good!
The gumbo has very rich crab flavor, love it.
(The gumbo ramen should be great too if they use the same broth)
Perfect seasoned red beans and rice.
The fried oyster was fresh and delicious.
And the fried chicken here is a must try!
Service here was good, just be patient.
No public wifi and no AT&T signal here.

The food was good, especially the Yams, macaroni and cheese, and grilled chicken. We went on a Friday night and it was an a R&B vibe....black owned business. We went at 7pm and was told a 2 hour wait, but it ended up being 45 minutes. I would suggest getting there before 9pm or you'll have a 2 hour wait for real. Seating at the bar is first come, first serve.

On my second attempt in 4 days, I was able to get in, and dine at Morrows for the second time. The city was still feeling the effects of Essence Festival weekend so I knew there'd be a wait. We got there around 1:30pm, seated around 2:30, food arrived to the table around 3:30pm. And guess what? Once I took one bite of my food, I forgot all about the wait! There were 10 of us at the table not one of us could complain about the taste. Every one liked their dish. I had grilled redfish atop mashed potatoes floating in a zesty shrimp sauce. Some of the others chose lamb chops, red beans & rice w/sausage, chargrilled oysters and cajun seafood pasta to name a few. I sampled the Birthday Girl's bread pudding and it was delicious-- and I don't even like bread pudding. Nuff said!

Loved this place!!! My friends and I visited on July 3, 2021. Everything was great. It was packed, but the staff took care of us. This is a fine establishment. Great music selection, great vibe, and a fun staff. The restaurant is organized, clean, and every one is professional. The restaurant decor is beautifully done. I can't remember what my drink was called (picture below), but it was so good. I ordered the salmon with macaroni...very delicious. I will definitely be back. If you are in the city, this place needs to be on your list. #realtalk #blackowned

I ordered the mac & cheese along with the fried chicken. They were both kind of dry so I was a little disappointed in my meal.
The drink was delicious & strong do I appreciate that. I got a Peach Lemon Drop. I also tried the Chargrilled Oysters someone else got & that was on point!
And there is always a wait, so get there early! I believe we got there 30 minutes after they opened & had to wait for 2 hours.

We ate here our first night in Nola. The vibe and the music was good. This restaurant is very small and quaint. Our server Brittany was very nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the chargrilled oysters, the flavor was good but kind of salty honestly almost everything we had was pretty salty. The BBQ shrimp was ok the flavor wasn’t what we expected it to be. The cornbread muffins were ok but dry. Overall 7/10 wouldn’t eat here again.

The music the food the ambiance, all were phenomenal. Very enchanting, and sexy relaxed vibe. Everything you think when you think of the bayou. The service was courteous and and orders were accurate and quick. I had a few Martinis with Hennessy per our waitress recommendation, and ummm get those lol. One of the best dining experiences that I've had. Will come back every time I visit New Orleans.

Late review - Visited June 2021. We could've eaten here every day while we were visiting New Orleans! The food and service was great! Everyone seemed so happy. It left everyone in a good mood. I was impressed.

THE BEST CHARGRILLED OYSTERS EVER !!!!!!!!!! "Oysters Morrow" Unmatched man. Yeah that's it... that's my review lol. The other menu items we had were super tasty & delicious too (Red fish, alfredo pasta dish, salmon with sides) but my oysters topped with CRAB! Yeah they were just as mouth watering as it sounds
Nakita Marie
Amazing place! Great environment! We did have to wait but the wait was worth it because the vibe was everything! I ordered the oyster platter and crawfish bread, both awesome! Will be returning!
Femi Sulyman
The food was amazing. The charbroiled oysters were just as good as Drago’s. Also, the Bulgogi definitely hit the spot.
However, the noise level is pretty high so having an intimate conversation is almost impossible.
Sweetness Rima
Hands down the best food ... Morrow's came highly recommended by the locals and they did not disappoint. I will definitely go back there when I come back to NOLA. Check out my YouTube SweetnessRima

1,000% recommend this place. Great vide, great staff, great food. Perfect trifecta. Traveled with a group of friends to NOLA, and this place screams hospitality and southern charm. Try the oysters, they're amazingly prepared. They were even on the house since we were from out of town. The pic doesn't do them justice.

Second time visiting here and they didn’t disappoint. Now you will pay but the portion and quality of food you’ll get is totally worth it. Chargrilled oysters with crabmeat on top was absolutely delicious, bbq shrimp was good and the sauce wasn’t overpowering, we also had the sesame ginger half off during happy hour with a frozen drink at $7 that will get you right, take advantage if f the happy hour menu 4pm-7pm and to top it off the bread pudding was just right no too sweet and cooked to perfection I will be a returning customer.

Visiting Nola and heard high reviews about Marrows. First night my husband and I got the catfish po boy and shrimp po boy and let me tell you … it was loaded and absolutely fire!!! So we went back again for happy hour- got the lemon drops and the Asian ginger wings (50% off for drinks and appetizers during happy hour) and again the wings were delicious and drinks on point! The atmosphere was great - low lighting with 90s R&B playing! Parking can be difficult as it’s on a side street and very busy - but definitely worth it!
Jerome Womack
All I can say is that I tasted my mother's cooking tonight! The fried chicken w/cabbage and baked mac&cheese was on point! Bread pudding so good, it made me laugh! Don't know why! Very busy for a Tuesday night. Parking very limited, but so what, lol!

Absolutely Amazing! I ate all of the chicken and was looking on the bones for more!!! Everything was seasoned just right! My husband and I caught a Taxi from departing our Cruise to this place to eat while waiting on our ride. My first time eating here was last year and it left a lasting impression on me. 😊 …

Prior to coming here I was excited to try half the items on the menu but settled for the cheese bread along with the fried chicken w/mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. My friends had the gumbo, fried catfish, and charbroiled oysters. Everything was excellent.
I’m definitely coming back. Small placed so was crowded. We had a 35 minute wait for lunch. The hostess and waitstaff were friendly and engaging. Definitely a young vibe but us OG’s felt at home as well. 🤌🏼

We had a table of eight and we were all accommodated wonderfully. It was our first time visiting New Orleans and the server gave us recommendations on the menu and suggested other places for us to go. The food came promptly and was hot and delicious. The view from above was great, you can people watch and decide on other places to go.

Drinks were great....Vibes wee good. Music was awesome...Food was Delicious!! You also want to get there early. It will be a line. Shoutouts to Richard the Bartender...Good Dude!!
Rochelle Huber
My son and I ate here on our road trip. I ate here years ago and it's some of the best food I've ever eaten. I knew I wanted to come back someday. So glad I was able to and that my son got to enjoy it with me! 😋
Tatyana Minor
Anari was such a great person and vibe. Me and my friends had a great time. Even met Rasheed , he was great! Service was great, and really appreciated the staff being friendly. Morrow is definitely recommend for brunch, Music 10/10, servers 10/10. Not to mention my Salmon was bussin’! Thank you so much for making it a great experience, from your favorite Jersey Girls !

Best food we had in New Orleans. Do not hesitate adding this to your "must try" list. Samantha was absolutely incredible and gave us 5 star experience! From the cocktails and wings, to the crawfish pasta, 10/10.
Kay Jay
I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant! We stopped in on a Sat afternoon and sat at the bar. Marlon and the other male bartender were very personable and attentive and the food was great! We ordered the chargrilled oysters, bbq shrimp, Cajun pasta and fried chicken. Everyone was great! I can’t wait to get back to try other dishes.
Susan Jackson
This was such a nice vibe when I went on Saturday. Great music. Great service. I got the BBQ shrimp starter which was sooooooo delicious! And then I had the bibimbop bowl which was also good. Sidecar cocktail was on point. Highly recommend.
Erica Wheeler
Okay y'all. Let me preface this by saying I went during Essence Fest Weekend so you already know the entire city was packed.
After we ate lunch we went to Morrows to put our name on the list since the wait was about 4 Hours!! We just decided to go hike and chill and then come back for dinner.
Once our wait was up we were seated immediately but our server was pretty busy so he didn't get to us for sit another 30 minutes.
The food was extremely good! I would definitely go back and order the cornbread muffins again. They were amazing.
We saw so many celebrities like Meek Mill, DJ Drama, Lala, and Arrogant Tae. It was a super cute night. It's black owned small cozy and fun.
Janessa Pantaleon
The. Charbroiled. Oysters!! I tried these everywhere that they were offered during my NOLA trip and this spot topped them all. We came on a Monday at 230ish after visiting the JAMNOLA exhibit .. and there was a wait for a table but the bar was open so we happily took seats there. The vibe was so right. Great music but not tooo loud. We had the henny Rita and lemon drops to drink. The bartenders were great and attentive. We had the crawfish pasta and shrimp poboy as our mains and ooooh. No regrets. Very reasonably priced. We spent about $70 each, very good considering all the drinks we ordered lol.

The vibe, THE FOOD, the bar, THE FOOD, the service, THE FOOD!!!!! Everything about Morrows was A+. My group and I went on a Friday night & there was an hour & a half wait! 😳 we went outside to regroup & a group came out from the bar which we were able to immediately seat ourselves at! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 EVERYTHING we ate was divine! The fried chicken was THE BEST I ever had!! I ordered it with the Mac n Cheese and Greens as my sides! If I had 1 night in NOLA, THIS is where I am eating! Hour plus wait and all!!!
George G.
Excellent food! Got the fried chicken, with the baked mac and cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was awesome! Only complaint, maybe another piece of chicken, but I’m begging for more.

My first experience here will not be my last. Our server LeRoy was excellent and very informative on the menu selection(s). I order the Red Fish and grits, which turned out to be cooked properly. Highly recommend based on food and service.
Mattlan Ladner
Overall, fun and decent dining experience but we had higher hopes. The environment is fun and upbeat and apparently it’s the spot to have your birthday dinner. The oysters marrow with crab meat on top were one of the best dishes we had. The crawfish pasta was only lightly seasoned with and emphasis on butter and garlic. The mac and cheese was pretty good. The red fish had an amazing flavor was a bit dried out from how grilled it was. The fried shrimp were okay.

I loved this place so much!!! It was probs my fave dining experience in NOLA the whole trip. From the food to the bartender to the manager.
First off, my girl Lourin held it down THE whole time. We walked in with no reservation, but was still able to be seated at the bar no problem, no wait.
To start, I got a Lemon Drop with tequila and when I tell you it was so good! I enjoyed every minute of that drink. For my appetizer I got the chargrilled oysters topped with crab meat and let me say it was some of the best oysters I had ever tasted and I could’ve been good with just getting more!! I only added on mashed potatoes and a side salad because I wasn’t that hungry, but the potatoes were so good and the salad was fresh so why not!
Everyone there was so attentive and the manager saw we were there for a birthday so they gave us complimentary shots for our party and since we couldn’t get an actual table.
Everything was perfect about the whole visit and I can’t wait to go back and enjoy more on the menu with an empty stomach! 😋

OMG! I never write a review but this was worth it. Food was amazing. Flavor was on point. This restaurant is a reason to love NOLA. The fried chicken and Mac and cheese was my fave… I know clichè but it really good. The BBQ shrimp did not disappoint either. Drinks were good as well. Energy was great, and so was our waiter Cin. Will definitely come back again.

This place was definitely on my list to try, and I was not disappointed! Surprisingly, I found a pretty good parking spot! Lol... I got the chargrilled oysters, and they were AMAZING!! They definitely pushed themselves right in my top 3 for chargrilled oysters. It had a little something extra with the flavor. For my entrée, I got the Cajun Crawfish Pasta. It was AMAZING as well!! I'll definitely geaux back and try to tackle that Ribeye!!!!
Annie SunGoddess
Great service, cute atmosphere. I ordered the catfish and it was super juicy and tender. The portions are awesome.
Alean Watson
I ordered the crawfish pasta for brunch, this was by far the BEST pasta I ever had in my life! It was my first time in NOLA. My Lyft driver recommended I try this restaurant! I’m so happy I tried it! Any time I’m back in NOLA will definitely make this one of my go to places.
Jaismine R.
Gumbo and chargrilled oysters was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life! Very nice restaurant. Nice staff as well

First trip to NOLA. This place hands down the winner. First bite reaction was “wow”. The vibe is on point as well. Bartender hooked up a traditional daquiri. 10 stars if that was an option.
kenesha louisma
Hands down my best restaurant experience during my first visit to NOLA so far. The food was amazing, nothing to complain about. The drinks were the bomb, and our server Samantha was even more bomb ! She treated my friends and I with so much hospitality and gave us amazing recommendations that we ended up loving. The rest of the staff were great as well. Overall 10/10 I will definitely be coming back on future visits.
Tracy Jones
The food is good. Flavorful. My sides, Mac & cheese and cabbage came out cold. But they warmed it up. The gumbo was great. The crawfish bread was good.
Nashaunda Wiley
Waiting time was a little over two hours. We needed a table to seat ten. We had to stand outside for that long. It was raining on and off, so I was really upset about it. There was a misunderstanding but it all worked out towards the end. The owner apologized and treated us with free drinks. I’m glad we waited because the food was amazing, buttery, sautéed, hot, seasoned, I mean the food is really good.. you just have to wait!!!!!!
Kennda Burt
This place is amazing. The food, the portion size, and the staff. We had Matt, with 2 t's, and baby that southern charm, as well as his knowledge of the food... just super dope. I'll be back when I visit NO again.
Whitney McGuire

I got this place as a recommendation from a friend who's originally from New Orleans. He's also a chef, so I definitely trusted his suggestions. So far so good! Food was great, service even better! Well be back soon!

Who? Me?
The food was good. I’ve heard it’s overhyped and overrated and I’ve heard it great so I decided to try for myself. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my service or food. I had the redfish and grits and 3 mimosas. The wait will always be long so make reservations in advance bc it’s small. I ate alone and sat at the bar. Will be returning. The only thing that made me chuckle was the ramen “gumbo” on the brunch menu… it’s actually just ramen noodle soup but it looked great.
Harmonese Pleasant
Black owned in the city. Food is decent, service has always been cool. Located right off St. Claude blocks away from the Quarter. I would go back.

BLACK OWNED
Food is amazing, drinks were tasty, music was on point, staff friendly, quick service. FOR SURE GOING BACK! Small restaurant tho, so I could see it having long waits. The earlier you go the better.
Gumbo Ramen is good af! You can only get it on Thursdays! It had Chicken, sausage, mussels, and a ton of flavor. The only thing I'd say about it was the noodles were a little too over cooked. Other than that it was some of the best Ramen I've had!
Lavetta Brewster
I visited this black owned establishment with hopes of the best experience. Unfortunately I didn’t get that. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and It was not BBQ at all it was more of a mayo based sauce. I couldn’t stomach it. I then ordered the pasta meal. Again sauce was not good. My mom ordered the beans and rice and I swear we both was in disbelief this was a black owned establishment. Maybe there isn’t a soul chef. Outside of food the service I received was not great. The waiter forgot to give utensils, never came to refill our drinks or check on us, I seen at some point just waiting around and me trying to get her attention. The only good thing about this place is the vibe and drinks were okay. The music was dope and waiters were nice. However the wait was about 45 mins outside and this place is very very small. I would not recommend or go back for food. Just for drinks and the music vibe.

This is what Nola food is supposed to taste like! It was completely worth the hype. We traveled here just to eat here. Starting with drinks and appetizers, the bar tenders and crawfish toast were superb! We each tried something different to taste and it was awesome! Chef Lenora has it on lock! Completely worth the wait with a nice blend of traditional New Orleans flavor with Asian fusion! We will definitely visit again!

We had to wait to be seated because we didn't make a reservation. The food was excellent. We were celebrating my sister's birthday. When you order a dessert, they add a large flaming candle and all the waiters sing happy birthday. Had a wonderful time.
Shareen Hunter
I had an amazing time for my birthday. My waiter Zo really out did himself. Not only did he manage to handle our complaints and serve us with top tier service he delivered with great suggestions on what we should drink and where we should
Spend the rest of our time. We Had an amazing time and would come back every time! Love love love!

A uber driver David sent us here. Best move of our trip. We had to hit this spot a 2nd time before we left The staff was great. The atmosphere was amazing. The 1st bar I sat at since 2019 great experience. This is a must on your list.
Robert Baumhart
Such great food! Service by our waitress Areena was wonderful. Oysters, Mac and cheese, gumbo, and bread pudding were all top notch. No advance reservations but there are bars down the road.
Valerie Collins
This is heaven on Earth. The food is mouth watering delicious and the service is fantastic. I will always eat here each time I visit NOLA.
Brandi Coffer
Food and drinks were good! Service was great! Will most definitely return and highly recommended!

I heard a lot about this restaurant and had to try it when I went back home to visit. There was a 30 minute wait and it was worth it. I order the lemon drop it was a little to sweet but still delicious and strong. I also had the margarita on the rocks with a shot grande marnier OMG it was the bomb. I had one of every appetizer on the happy hour menu and let me tell you they were so good. The crawfish bread was to die for. The cup of gumbo was just right remind me of one of my grandma’s gumbo. The ginger wings was so good I almost bit my finger off. The lettuce wraps i cant even being to explain how good they were. The bbq shrimp were ok. But I will definitely go back when every-time Igo home to visit. This is not a paid review either. I love food and when its good i will definitely give a good review. I forgot to talk about the service i was caught up in the food. Everyone was nice and welcoming. Our waiter was very polite, attentive and gave great service. Im sorry I forgot his name but he was light skin complexion with tattoos . If I remember will post his name. But all around great service.

I went there for lunch while visiting N. O.
It did not disappoint.
The char-grilled oysters were amazing!! The shrimp Po Boy had over 2 dozen perfectly seasoned and cooked shrimp and the Gumbo had a half of blue crab in bowl and was delicious. Will visit again on my next trip to the Big Easy!
Jhane Allen
Great experience here! We came during happy hour and the drinks and food were top notch. Our waiter Zo was AMAZING. He went out of his way to get us anything we needed and even recommended spots for us to go to while out in NOLA. 10/10 would come back here
Mariah Jones
The food & vibes is absolutely amazing. I got the red beans , fried chicken & sweet potatoes fries. I also had an amazing strawberry lemon drop. Will definitely be returning.
Stacie
I can't say enough about this place! Marlon my bartender/server was DA BOMB! The food was soooo good! From the Henry margarita to my peach cobbler.. no complaints! I had the stuffed mushrooms and crawfish bread as appetizer. For my entree I had the fried chicken which was moist and flavorful, garlic mashed potatoes, greens and the mac&cheese. I got the peach cobbler to go, and I had plenty of food to eat in the middle of the night. This is going to be my go to spot!
Carol Durosseau
I stopped by here for the first time had been seeing the sign but was unable to stop today was my chance I enjoyed the food so well I asked the waitress what was the special of the day and she said lamb chops it was so good I did not even need a knife to cut the meat off the bone I don't know what they did to the garlic mashed potatoes but they were fantastic I asked for cabbage as a side dish and it was seasoned so well I almost ordered a second plate just to bring it home but I had so much food that I had leftovers and I brought that home I recommend this restaurant enjoy enjoy enjoy

Let’s cut to the chase. If you want to eat good and I mean AMAZINGLY good, this is where you need to come. Ambiance; check. Food; check. Staff friendliness; check. I’m only here for a day in New Orleans. This was easily my highlight.
The oysters are fire, the fried chicken and mac are amazing, and the drinks are well balanced and look how cute this bar is…
Pamela Fowler
Great food. Good service with good suggestions and descriptions. I had a Seafood Ramen. Nice vibe with good music.
Kujtim Bardhyll
Cannot stress this enough best food I have has since driving down from New Jersey. I have driven 2000 miles and there is nothing like this. Please stop and try the charbroiled oysters and the barbecue shrimp! The staff and chef are very friendly and inviting. This place has stolen a piece of my heart. I will be back !
Amanda Simmons
The ATMOSPHERE was EVERYTHING !!!!
The Staff was really good as well my food. Fresh and seasoned just right.
My waitress Cindy was very good, came back to check on my table a few times and made sure that my food was the correct order.
Did I mention that the prices are reasonable. The fact that the food is that good I would’ve expected my bill to be 20+.
10/10 recommended !!!
Kerin Moore
First time at the restaurant and I must say it’s a nice cute place.I had the Pasta Lenora which was really good. Others in my party food was cold and their meal was replaced not just heated up which is excellent service recovery. If I’m every back in NOLA, I will make sure to come back so I can try their brunch menu.
Lakeshia Felton
Very good food. The restaurant had been recommended as a place that I MUST VISIT while in New Orleans. I was very pleased!
Shawn Baptiste
This place was amazing our waitress Chelsey professional on point with our orders, food was delicious drink awesome melo music friendly staff.
Arnitia Goodman
BEST OYSTERS IN THE CITY. Highly recommend. We also ordered the red beans ana rice, chicken, and greens. The greens had a strange/tarte taste, but the chicken was delicious.
Robert Clark
I got a cocktail and 2 apps. The charred oysters were way too salty, the parmesan overpowered it. But the crawfish bread was indulgent and tasty. The rum punch was tasty but very potent, I didn't need a second drink, which I greatly appreciate! If you are going to pay $10+ for a cocktail it should do you right for at least a short time. And the staff was excellent!
Lady Di
Food was amazing! The atmosphere was nice and the staff was great. Our server, Imani, was awesome! I'll definitely be returning when I come back to New Orleans.
The Keith-Donovan Experience
For everyone visiting NOLA looking for a culinary experience , Morrow’s is a must on your visit. I’ve heard many great things about this place, and decided to see for myself. Twice no success, but happily seeing Patti Labelle waving outside during essence fest made me try a third.
The prized jewel here is the food. Between the bbq shrimp and the garlic bread, I would have ate that for hours. Try everything! Nothing is better than going to a restaurant and not adding ANY seasoning to my meal. And for that, I’m forever grateful!
Jimmy, our server was awesome, very down to earth and great at conversation. I might have made his day ordering a chartreuse cocktail. He told the two incoming bartenders about it.
A weekday happy hour is available.
So glad this place is within community of the city. Not to mention it’s FUBU. 😉
Business blessings,
KD🤎

It was nice but VERY SMALL! I felt super crowded. BUT the food was AMAZING! I wouldn’t go back because it was so small though and it seemed like it was in a residential part of town. The same person owns Mondays @mondaynola and that location is much better and bigger BUT the menu at Mondays was small and the food wasn’t good.
Paul Orlik
I loved the food at Morrows, was great to get away from the French Quarter and enjoy a great meal.
Fried chicken plate - absolutely incredible!
Mac & Cheese tasty!
Fried catfish super delicious!
Red Beans & rice would 100% recommend for every meal as a side.
I will say before our arrival a large party was forming at two of the big high tops so my party ended up at the bar. The big party was previously half at the bar drinking while waiting for everyone else to arrive. We finally sat down and a woman from the party continuously ordering from the bar while they had a waitress. The bar tender who was great, he was working super hard to try and stay afloat. No help from the back stocking plates, glassware etc. he was so behind it took almost 20 mins for him to address us and clear the previous mess out, get us a glass of water and even speak with us. Other employees ran to a car outside to bring boxes in, some waiters and waitress congested the entrance to the kitchen txting on their phones while the bartenders struggled to keep up, clean and take orders. The air conditioning was on full blast to the point of uncomfortable, and the music was at a volume that I couldn’t hear my friends or the bartender.
The menu doesn’t list any beer options on it but beers are on the happy hour menu but no mention.
The bartenders did not use tongs to pick up fruit for drinks, and barehanded dirty plates without washing hands. Waitresses also came behind the bar and bare handed the same fruit. Just unsanitary.
Overall I feel like the experience was specific to the party of 12-14 people being there in that bigger party so I won’t fault it too much but the review is specific to feedback to management to help curate a better experience for patrons.
Please visit this restaurant, it’s absolutely a bright star in terms of quality of food in the area!

If you want REAL authentic New Orleans gumbo, this is the place to be! I enjoyed everything I ordered so much that I ordered the same thing two days later. The cabbage was crunchy, I prefer mine softer but I still gobbled it all up. The bread pudding was amazing! The crawfish bread made my tastebuds dance.
Dee
Morrows exceeded expectations. Honestly, whenever a restaurant has social media hype I typically have low expectations but Morrows was amazing from the service to the food and of course the drinks!
Katrina Young
My girlfriend's and I visited NOLA for the first time and Morrow's was on the list of restaurants to visit. It did not disappoint!! We arrived around 4:30 pm and were immediately seated.
Everyone was satisfied with their food; fried chicken, mac & cheese. The Cajun crawfish pasta, BBQ shrimp, and Crawfish bread were all a hit!! Definitely recommend and would visit again upon my return!!
Percy Ollie Jr
This was the first place I ate at while visiting New Orleans and EVERYTHING was delicious 😋. I had Gumbo, shrimp po boy, and a side of catfish and ate every single piece. Highly recommend coming here. …
Dewayne Parks
Best food in New orleans. The wait was long but it was worth it. The pasta was amazing. The red beans and rice with the chicken was great. The crab stuffed mushrooms were so good.
Suzette Ferguson
A must try when visiting New Orleans. Great food. Great service. Good atmosphere. Expect a long wait though. Place was packed both times we went there. We'll definitely be back for our next trip
Sheneka Williams
The atmosphere the service and the food was superb! The macaroni and cheese, the potatoe salad the File' gumbo, the crawfish cheese bread and the crawfish pasta salad was hands down so dam good..We went during happy hour. During happy hour all appetizers and drinks are 50% off.
Simply Dee W
Good food, vibe and atmosphere. Our waitress was amazing as well. The only complaint I'd make would be the food being a bit on the salty side. Our party of 11 collectively felt the same.
Ernst Fantaisy
Morrows has a very enjoyable dinner menu and atmosphere. The oysters are the highlight of the night.
Eureka Dalton
When I say, Morrow's is not hype, it's an understatement.
Pros
Service: on point
Food: delicious with my type of seasoning, even though steak was a lil chewy and tough in some places
Cocktails: that Blue 87 whatchamacallit is an experience
Music: a vibe
Location: even in the city, easy enough parking
Cons
Wait! 40 minutes, which isn't bad, but I hadn't eaten all day
Horrendous road conditions, but it's to be expected. Treat it like a game and maneuver
Another well-used Saturday.
Glinda Mantle
Although they were short staffed, we had a lovely lunch. The food was off-the-chain delicious. The room was full of diners, and everyone did a great job! Thanks! I look forward to returning soon.
McCamy Claude
This restaurant was just alright. Nothing too great nothing too bad. The environment and the specialty drinks were absolutely incredible and amazing. The song selection in the background was great. The service was also fantastic. But food was just alright.
Ashley Greenwood
Atmosphere here is laid back and chill and even better is the food! Oysters were delicious and the redfish was to die for even the side... Mac and cheese was the best I’ve had along with the red beans, tasted like home cooked soul food. It was delicious 🤤 …
Claire Stamborski
Food was insane. Just picked a bunch of sides (red beans and rice, corn muffins, yams, and green beans) and everything was flavored beautifully. Left so satisfied. Def try to get a reservation because the wait is long!
Alisha Thornton
Absolutely awesome. The vibe was amazing. The food was everything
P Lue
Great eats, can be very busy with long wait times. Call ahead and put your name on the waitlist (they should use the Yelp/google waitlist) Food is delicious and worth the wait. Bartenders are nice and they make a good drink.
Monica Vega
The food is amazing. I asked our lovely waitress, Tanya but I called her Tiana, who’s grandma was in the back cooking. So tasty! I really loved the food. I had the linguini with crawfish and shrimp. My son the burger, my hubby the friend chicken. That fried chicken was SUPER tender. Everything was good. The only problem is the wait time. We waited for two hours, it was supposed to be 45min to an hour. It was hard waiting that long with a kid. The manager really needs to step up and ensure guests stick to their limit because it is not fair to those waiting outside. I went in and there were people done eating just having a good chat, not cool. If you plan on going here, send someone ahead to sign up, go to Jamnola and then go back. Enjoy!

We had such a great time at Morrows. We were a party of 10 from NYC and our server Chelsea was so pleasant and helpful. The Ramen gumbo was delicious it is the Thursday special a must have. Crabmeat stuffed oysters, Morrow Oysters and baked oysters were a huge hit. Ginger wings, lettuce wraps appetizers are a must have. Not to mention Chelsea the server was fabulous.
Sharde Theodore
I had a great time celebrating a friend’s birthday. Leroy was our server and was well versed on the menu. The food was delicious and a great portion size. The chargrilled oysters is a must.
Aly
I must say the food is super delicious and worth the wait time. The barbecue shrimp was so good I started to work their for free. The gumbo taste just like the barbecue shrimp so that was weird because it didn't do well with that taste but could be my preference. I'm from New Orleans New Orleans so my gumbo expectations are high.
Anyway my to go portions was the only problem. It was like all my entrées and appetizers were served as lunch sizes or smaller but my small bite size plates were delicious except the Korean ribs.
Definitely a go to place! Vibe, drinks, and everything is cool.
Wayne Rush
Excellent service and incredible food. We were so pleased we came back a second evening to enjoy the great vibe & high quality service. Special shout out to Mani our server for two evenings.
Zainab Adisa
Words don't even begin to describe the amazing expereince my friend and I had at Morrow. Everything from the vibe, to the music, food, and friendly staff (shoutout to our amazing and knowledgable server Samantha!) made for one of our best outings during our time in New Orleans. We were seated right away and the drinks were so well prepared, my friend really enjoyed his French 75, prepared by Samantha and she was able to offer us some great reccomendations. I enjoyed the steak and eggs, from the brunch menu and it was honestly one of the best steaks I've had. All in all it was such an amazing experience and I look forward so coming back on my next trip!

When I say, Morrow's is not hype, it's an understatement.

Cocktails: that Blueberry French Kiss is an experience

Definitely coming back. Fried catfish was perfect!

If I could give Marrow's 10 stars!!! Love love loved it. Great atmosphere and the food was amazing! I LOVED the mac an cheese I'm going to need someone to send me some and the chargilled oysters were best I've had

This location was in a great area . Parking was on street . No wait for bar area seating . The staff was really in tune our bartenders was Marvin . (He was the best) . Marvin gave us great vibes from the time we sat to the time we left . There was some r&b and jazz playing in the background. A full bar and late happy hour drink and food specials . The food was good ! I will point people to this great spot when in town visiting !!!

Great food, great atmosphere and a great time! We had a great time!!

Good food nice place Terrible service. Hour and 1/2 wait time for a table to receive horrible service on a Monday after lunch. 20 minutes just to get drink. Great food just be prepared to wait a long time for everything. Table, Water, appetizers, drinks, food everything.
Alana Hughes
The hostess did a very good job getting us in even though we arrived later in the evening. The atmosphere is a little on the louder side so if you prefer a quieter intimate setting it’s not for you, but food was delicious! I had the crawfish bread and gumbo soup for an appetizer, and for my meal I had fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and red beans and rice, and for dessert we had the peach cobbler and brownie sundae! They were very busy like I said so it was a bit slower but all in all I was pleased with everything!
Ashley Sankara
Morrow's was EXCELLENT. The food was delicious and prepared just right. The drinks were amazing! I only needed one before I started singing 🤣
Courtney R
Never in my life liked oysters, but babyyyyyy their chargrilled oysters were everything and then some! The Cajun crawfish pasta I’m convinced was cooked by Jesus himself. Beautiful set up and amazing staff. Definitely will be a go to for me!

Wow Great experience.. The food was everything…… The DRINKS 😊 .. Our waiter Zo was everything and more, Very Professional, he checked on us and made sure everything was good. 10 out of 10 definitely coming back….
Michael Shearer
Technically had food from here twice. Once through DoorDash, and the other sitting in. Their stuffed mushrooms, braised cabbage, wings, & Mac n cheese were all fantastic starters/sides. I had the catfish, she had the grilled chicken, I also got their fried chicken in the restaurant... would come back here again no doubt about it.
Natasha Leoni
Baby when I tell you everything was delicious. The crawfish bread, the pasta, the oysters , the fish, so good. The service was great, the wait staff were energetic and friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. Overall a great experience. I've heard horror stories of the wait time but we went for lunch and it wasnt bad at all. Highly recommend! 👌👍👏🙌😀
Tamekia Farley
The sesame ginger wings were amazing! I will be back for those! The only reason I gave them 3 stars was because we waited over an hour to be seated and service was pretty slow. For an entree I ordered Pasta Lenora and it wasn't great. It tasted like they popped open a jar of Alfredo sauce and sprinkled cayenne pepper in it. I feel the pasta could have been better, but those wings were everything!
Rico S.F.
Overall we had a good experience. We arrived mid-day and were immediately put on a waitlist, for a table for 2, for about 45 minutes. They have a decent system where you receive a text when your table is ready and you have a few minutes to get there, so stay close. Once we were seated we realized why we waited so long, so service is really slow! We ordered the Oyster Morrow, seen in my pics, and it was SOOO good! The flame broiled taste and the seasoning, combo’ed with the bread they serve it with, major! We also ordered the Cajun Crawfish Pasta, which we were told was a popular menu item, and we were not disappointed. It was a hearty serving, and very delicious; I had my leftovers that night and it was just as good the second time. We also ordered a side order of onion rings and they were great quality and crisps. Overall great experience, just plan around it because the whole experience took a few hours, including the wait.
Dee Deigh
The food was just simply delicious. I was hesitant at first to go there for my birthday dinner because of the mixed reviews I read about the place but I am glad I did. The atmosphere was lively and the service was great. For someone that doesn't like vegetables, I enjoyed the greens. The gumbo was flavorful.
Eileen Nahan
I've been In NO for 2 weeks. This is the best. We had BBQ Oysters, BBQ shrimp and Korean chicken wrap. Excellent, delicious, I wish I had another day. 😋 Thank you …
Kimberly Barnett
Had a wonderful experience at Morrows today. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Delaney was awesome. Jimmy the bartender made excellent cocktails. The food was delicious, the crawfish pasta is a must try. The fish was fresh, hot, and very well seasoned. My dad thoroughly enjoyed his Cobb salad and he said post a picture of it.
D'Juan Mansfield
Okay, so the seating here is horrible, however the vibe in the restaurant and the food was good. I had the redfish and potatoes, my cousin's chargrilled oysters was good. My friends had the seafood pasta with salmon, it was good, however the mussels weren't properly clean, aside from that, they enjoyed it. The wait is pretty long for weekends when there's a lot going on in the city. I don't think this is a good place to have a birthday dinner if you have a lot of people, you may want to call ahead.
Dree Nicole
The atmosphere is INCREDIBLE!💕 They played hit after hit. My son and I sang nearly the entire time.
The staff is AMAZING! There should be people like them in EVERY business🎯. The world of commerce would be a beautiful place.
Their mac and cheese is happiness in a bowl. It's PERFECT! I love the touch of spice.
Kara' Lundy
My daughter and I attempted to dine here after we arrived in NOLA but there was a 2hr wait to be seated and we were hungry. LOL. I am sure we would have enjoyed the food had we had the chance to dine here.
Mr. L. Byrd
I’ve always heard about this establishment & I’ve finally had the opportunity to dine-in... I truly wasn’t disappointed.. Good vibes, Good music playlist and most importantly.. The entree’s were on point!! I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a diverse selection of menu choices!!
Ciarra Flannigan
Everything was amaaaazing! The service was excellent, the charbroiled oysters, chicken and waffles and the gumbo ramen were our favorite dishes. Will definitely be back asap
April Walters
What a way to start my bday celebration!! It was busy but once we we were seated it was ok. The food was amazing (especially the greens) and the drinks were delicious!!!!
Sydney Houlemard
Really dope place! It has great design and decor. The location is nice and employees were pretty nice and helpful. My BBQ shrimp and baked mac & cheese were delicious. And I know my family was also satisfied with their meals! Although, I do wish the mac & cheese was bit more baked & crisp on top (but that’s just my preference). Also, felt pretty safe and spread out due to covid and menus were virtual which was nice. However, I went with my grandparents and they had no clue how to get the menu on their phone (their phone cameras weren’t equipped for QR without downloading a specific app first, which they wouldn’t have figured out—I just let them use mine and helped them navigate the menu. I’m assuming if my grandparents went alone someone else would’ve helped or maybe they would’ve gotten a hard copy of the menu. Overall, super great experience and will definitely go back!!
B. Nguyen
The gumbo is sooo good! My boyfriend and I stopped by here for a late dinner on a Saturday night and it was awesome. The vibe is great and the service was impeccable.
Kimberly Meeks
Everything we had from Morrow's delivered! Shrimp and grits definitely on point, Ramen Gumbo and Chicken and waffles so delicious...recommended 10 out of 10!!!

The place is rocking. Good food but amazing Atmosphere. The way they sign happy birthday is so dope. I will definitely be back when I visit NOLA again! Don't get the mac and cheese. It wasnt good at all.

AMAZING SERVICE, DELICIOUS FOOD, LIVELY ATMOSPHERE. Short ribs were cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. Crawfish bread was creamy and savory. Crab stuffed oysters came to the table hot, sizzling, and full. Happy hour drinks were delicious. Bread pudding divine. A must go.
Jhamal Davis
Saw Morrow's on Instagram and recommended this place to my family while we were in New Orleans recently. Definitely a must for everyone. The experience was worth waiting for. The Red fish and grits were great. My sister wanted fried oysters and you guys didn't disappoint her at all. I've been telling people about Morrow's even before I went. Actually just told a coworker today. Her family will be in New Orleans soon. Great job Morrow's staff! I will always stop by whenever I'm in New Orleans.
Ana Paula
Best oysters I’ve ever had! The food was also to die for. Great pricing, we spend under $80 for 3 people and we had 2 appetizers and 3 meals. That’s a lot of bang for your buck especially when it’s incredibly delicious! This little piece of heaven will not disappoint, our servers and waitress were fun and truly made you feel like you had been there 100 times before and it was our first visit. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
Asha Atkins
Zo is an incredibly astute, helpful, and committed waiter. He made us feel welcome and gave us great night life recommendations. Morrow's food, drinks, and dessert are delightful! #supporblackbusiness

Great restaurant in one of my FAVORITE parts of town. Locally owned and operated, near my neighborhood and helping to fuel the economy, I'm all in.
From the outside, one wouldn't think all this quaintness is bottled up inside, but it is.
Great decor. Friendly, patient staff. Good gooooooood food; no complaints here. The food selections we decide on were: the salmon with asparagus and parmasean grits, chicken and waffles & shrimp-n-grits (which I will be trying upon my next visit). The food was delivered in a timely manner and the temperature was right as well.
Pricing was fair; separate checks are available, but with parties 5 or more, gratuity is added & I think that's fair.
My BLOODY MARY was great, great, great; it came with cucumbers and olives. This was new to me, but hey I tried it and I liked it.
Love the logo, simple yet memorable. Oh and the slogan on the wall in the bar area "Morrow of the story..." Love it!!!
This place gets packed on Sundays, so come early. And there's valet parking for a small fee should you desire curb side service. Security looms outside, so dine with ease. There's a set brunch menu on Sunday, but seemingly other days there's a full menu to select from.
We said it would be nice if they added a dining area on the sidewalk... Maybe that's coming in the near future.
Angela Dang
Nice restaurant & super convenient as my Airbnb is upstairs. Super crowded & packed on Saturday night. Waiting time ranges from 30 - 45 minutes after 7:30 PM for large party. Ordered the henny rita cocktail & it was amazing. Plates were in large portion & great; however, bit salty for me. Loved the seasoning though. The crawfish pasta was so creamy. Fantastic customer service. Great spot to hang out for a drink.

Somehow news of this place and the stories of the owner and her son made it onto one of my news feeds back home in Maryland. After reading it, I made it a place to visit the next time I was in New Orleans.
First night back in NOLA and well... why not....
This place is a gem. Located amongst the strip across from St. Roch Market, it was easy to find and parking was no problem. The atmosphere is great for a night out with the friends or even a date night. They have a very large bar with lots of variety. (Try the Henny Rita).
The servers were all very nice and attentive. The menu had a variety of seafood, southern food and Korean food choices. I went with a Korean dish - the Bibim Bop Rice Bowl with an interesting mix of ingredients (rice, beef, mixed veggies, a fried egg, and a red sauce that was spicy). The dish was delicious.
I'm looking forward to another visit while in town.
Zak L. Grace
Really nice restaurant! I advise
To get a reservation because you’ll be waiting hours to get in. I visited this place and had to wait over an hour but the food taste like grandmas cooking. Gumbo was slamming and chicken was properly cooked. I recommend but once again try to get a reservation or you’ll be waiting a very long time.
I do suggest Mr. Larry get some outside seating or chairs for waiting guest.

OMG what can I not say, this place is absolutely amazing. So good we had to come back. The staff is beautiful and servers were great! There is nothing bad on the menu. You will be blessed no matter what you get. This place felt like home and brought the soulful vibe. We will be back again and again. We love LeRoy and Shewan!!!!

I was visiting New Orleans and stopped by Morrows. This place is a 10/10. The food and service is amazing. Definitely ask for Sammantha!!!!
Cocoa Bunny
I loved it! Great food and drinks. The vibe is so pleasantly ethnic that I didn't really want to leave. Everybody was so chill! You have to try the baked mac. It's legit!!

I am taking it easy on this restaurant, because it's brand new. But I am going to lay it all out. These folks need some real training. It's the most frustrating thing in the world to feel conflicted about giving a bad review, because you're trying to support a Black business and then you feel conflicted about giving a decent tip even though the service was subpar. Let's start with the greeter. This is the first person you see when you walk in your building. You should have a person there with a great personality and a professional look. Sorry long blonde fake hair is not professional and that poor child has no personality and should not be at the front door until you train her and she gets some energy about herself. Hell it was 11am - she should have been on fire with energy. Anyway I was seated and I waited and waited and waited for the waitress to come to my table just to take my drink order, but by the time she came I had completely studied the menu and I was ready to order food and drinks. I ordered the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese and vegetable of the day. I asked what the vegetable of the day the server Miesha said probably mixed vegetables. Did you catch that? Probably. It's lunch time folks. No one should be waiting to order at lunch time. You're going to lose your lunchtime business with that foolishness. Also, having long waits is not cute. It means your servers are slow. You wanna turn those tables as soon as possible. And what was really crazy you had a bridal party of 6 standing at the bar with both bartenders attending to them the whole time. Them people are coming and going - when the summer is here you're going to want your locals. So, waitress brings me a diet coke no water -which is fine. By the way I ordered the diet coke to increase my bill -so I didn't just order water. I ordered the fried chicken and if it's freshly made I know it takes a while. So, at the 21 minute mark a guy comes by and asks if I want my drink refilled. Did you catch that? At the twenty-one minute mark. Not the original server. Some new guy. I said yes and I would like some water too. So, he brings me the water. Did you catch that? He only brought me the water. So, at the 27 mark - yes the twenty-seven mark I get my chicken, macaroni and cheese and asparagus. So, the vegetable of the day was asparagus as I learned. No comment from Mie saying this is what it would be. Well, anyway a man brings out the food. I tell him I didn't get the diet coke. So, around the 30 mark Mie comes to do a check and I say I didn't get my coke. Around the 32 mark I get my coke and no straw. The check is placed on the table around the 35 mark in a black folder with no comment or will that be all (I was still at the beginning of the meal.) I asked for a box. Mie took the check with no words. No asking for dessert or nothing else. BTW she took my water cup away and never brought me water back. And all the staff at one point was huddled up in the kitchen and then folks was outside. It was like a playground. You gotta up your game folks. Being nice and hospitable is easy. And if your food ain't nothing your kindness will be remembered. About the food - the chicken was amazing. Nice and crispy and a great flavor. The backed macaroni looked good and tasted great -- but the noodles were a bit too soft. Keep the flavor lower the time on the boil and make sure you cool the noodles down so they stop cooking. And the asparagus was a treat. I was happy to have that as the vegetable of the day. That's a selling point and the server needs to know what it is.

Service was excellent!! Everything tasted amazing!! I'm officially addicted to the seafood pasta...and my lawd...the peach cobbler! 🤤🤤🤤 …

This was my 1st visit to the legendary Morrows and it did not disappoint. Great drinks and atmosphere. I ordered the red fish and grits this time, but I will be back again and again until I make my way through the entire menu. It's worth the drive out if you're visiting New Orleans.
Tonya J Richards
The food was fantastic. I ordered the catfish platter with fries. They give you a lot of food, actually enough for 2 days. The servers were knowledgeable and very nice. A great place to dine while in New Orleans.
MiSS Strong
Nice place. Music was louder than necessary to promote ambiance. Food was good and served in a timely manner. My favorites were the red beans and the chicken served with the lettuce wraps. They were seasoned to perfection. I'd visit this place again.
derrick c
The hostess needs better people skills and organization. She was horrible with seating and simple manners. Luckily a waiter came and sat us at a available table. Kinda confused on why she couldn't do that.
Was irritated by her demeanor however our waiter Tony made up for it!!!! He was phenomenal and got us our food at a very reasonable timeframe considering how busy it was. The food here is A1!!!!! My fiance and I demolished that food!!! LMBO 😂😂😂
Everything was delicious and Morrow's should take pride in that. We definitely will be back for brunch. Get some chairs for the "outside" waiting area and this place will be gold. Nice atmosphere where you can dress up or down. Def make it a date night for your lady fellas.
Sharun Jones
The food was amazing! The reason for four stars is the food was over priced and a long wait. Our wait was 2 hours for 3 guests. So we had to go next door to a local bar to wait, do to NO seating area in Morrow's large enough for guests arriving to dine. Morrow's has an amazing staff, but the size of the space is very small, which limits space to pass other tables without bumping. My suggestion to the owner is rethink menu prices, offer reservations during hours of operations to help organize a great wait for guests. Over all a beautiful restaurant.
Kamille H
Food was delicious! The server was super sweet and the drink I got was pretty strong. I'm not sure what the name was but it was a specialty cocktail with gin. Will definitely be back next time I'm in new Orleans
W.Y B
Really fun place. Staff was awesome and the food was good. Oh can't forget the drinks were too.

This place is simply amazing. I have visited this restaurant 3x and never been disappointed it’s a must go to whenever I’m in New Orleans. The service is phenomenal, food is to die for and the cocktails are different than most places and always strong. I do see a lot of reviews stating the wait times are long. Me personally I have never experienced any wait when going to Morrows. My advice if you don’t want a wait time try to go during the week right when they open or between 1:30 -4pm. After the lunch rush and before the dinner rush. It’s a small place with very limited seating . My guess is the owner understands quality over quantity and a lot restaurants that tend to expand often decline in quality of food and service. Make sure you try the oysters, gumbo, and shrimp. To die for!!!

First time visit to Morrow’s and I must say it wasn’t bad. Let’s start with the music selection. They played great R&B music. The energy in the place was high. The place was packed. There was a line of people waiting outside to get in. If you can get a reservation, I recommend doing so. We made a reservation by calling the restaurant. The Cajun pasta with catfish was excellent. The fried shrimp entree was ok. I good have ordered that at from anywhere. Now let’s get to NOLA Covid protocol. No one asked to see our Covid vaccine cards, which are required to dine in. I did mention the place was packed. I wonder how many people did not have a vaccine card in the restaurant. No one wore masks, not even the staff. We were the only ones who wore a mask upon entry and when not eating/drinking. It didn’t help that the place is small. The bathroom could have used some cleaning as well. I would dine here again, but probably upon opening to avoid the crowd. The three stars are for missing the mark on the enforcement of the Covid protocol.

My Uber driver recommended Morrows but she didn’t say how TINY the place was and that they don’t take reservations. When we got there, there were a few empty tables but the rude hostess still made us wait for ten minutes, just standing there. She sat us at a table that was probably meant for toddlers and my mom and I just decided to sit at the bar. Thank God the bartender Leia was very nice and cordial. I won’t lie that their chicken and waffles were the best chicken and waffles I’ve had in a long time! The mimosas were also great. They had also had great R&B playing. I don’t think Morrow’s can do much about the size of their restaurant but they can definitely do something about their rude hostess.
Brittany Snow
Delicious food, great vibe, amazing service! Arrive early because they get crowded quickly. If your in NOLA defiantly stop by because they did not disappoint. Food is fresh and flavorful.
T. N.
Tried Morrow’s yesterday for the first time. Gumbo and Oysters 🦪 was amazing! Big loaded oysters
Kelli Young
The food and drinks here are very good but they have definitely outgrown this establishment so if you aren't here when they first open, I doubt you'll get seated for awhile.
Escarly
The most perfect oysters! The best charred oysters I’ve ever had. Loved the atmosphere in this way place
Nakyua spruill
Came in as a party of 3 and sat at the bar with Marlon. The service was amazing and so were the food and drinks! You must order the grilled oysters!!!
Robert McElroy
Got the Cajun crawfish pasta. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The fried fish was light and crispy and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. Great ambience and lovely service from Hannah (who recommended the pasta). Reasonably priced too.
Alexandria Robinson
Love going to Morrows. We usually sit at the bar and the bartender is always super friendly. Great atmosphere and food. There’s typically a wait for a table and they don’t take reservations. The chargrilled oysters are great and all of the pastas.
Calera Bryant
The whole restaurant is a vibe. The food was amazing and our waitress Cin was awesome and so sweet!
Maya
My friends and I dined at Morrows on a Sunday evening. The downside. The hostess was rude and the organization for seating is terrible. Being that they don't take reservations, they need to have a better seating system. One hostess in particular, was very rude and honestly had me reconsidering returning to the restaurant. We decided to eat outside because after waiting for an hour there was still no table inside available. Although, as soon as we sat down a table inside got up. This same rude hostess says we can no longer sit inside because we are seating outside. I could understand if we ordered already and got food. We did not even have waters yet. Her attitude was a complete turn off, she was taller with reddish dreads. Also, the area is not the best so while we were eating outside a homeless man comes up and ask for our leftovers and money, which was uncomfortable. On the upside, the food was good. The charbroiled oysters were great and so were the drinks. Our server Lashonda was great and very nice. I'm not sure if I would return to Morrows just yet. There are so many options in New Orleans and customer service and ambiance is just as important as food.
Shaunya Bolden
If it wasn't for the oysters I wouldn't have came back a second time. The oysters are the reason I even gave them 3 stars. Both times I went the service was the worse. We wait and wait just for the good to come out lukewarm. We know it's a restaurant so basic stuff like mashed potatoes and red beans & rice should've been ready and hot. Those are everyday items and yet they are basic and just barely warm. They don't get 3 strikes. It had been two years since I was there last and two years later they showed me why I shouldn't go back
Ina Lew
This is my favorite restaurant in the city. Sometimes me and my hubby eat there twice a week.
The food is great and so is the service. The bartenders are THE BEST!
My husband loves the Gumbo Ramen (Thursdays only) and I love the yams, Mac and cheese 🧀, red fish, oysters, heck it's all delicious!
Latorya Reid
We came into town for my sisters birthday! Someone recommended Morrows to us so we tried it! MATT was the absolute best! He took great care of us and our food was delicious! Thank you!
timothy
Went to this place to eat after doing Hurricane Ida relief. Had the Korean BBQ. It was great, staff was friendly as well.
Desha Greely
The menu was off and need to be updated. Disappointed that what I ordered from the menu they didn't have. Did the focus on the new Restaurant Monday something that they forgot about sustainable the old restaurant. If your not prepared and ready to do both, slow down cause it will impact your customers but I have to say the drinks and what was left on the menu was good. The service was as well. Touristy but locals fit right right in too but come earl. It is a small quint place and lines, wait time for table can be lonf. But worth the wait.
Jaimee Bennett
My best friend and I had an AMAZING time at Morrows. Not only was the food something that will bring me back to New Orleans over and over but the service was amazing. Samantha was our server and she helped up with our selections as well as took time to speak to us out New Orleans and life in general. She was literally the highlight of our experience…while dinning we were greet by multiple staff members as well as the executive chef. I would recommend this restaurant 10/10 for all things cross the board.
Chasity Moore
The vibe of this restaurant was great! Food was delicious and drinks were on point! Try to make a reservation if you can otherwise there will be a wait on Saturday night.
Justin Bannister
Wonderful family experience for my brother's birthday. The food was amazing, and the drinks were very strong. Matt (with 2 "T's" as he says) is the greatest, and liveliest waiter, he made the experience 100x better!
Allison Geddes
We were surprised that there was an hour wait on a Monday night anywhere, but I was not mad about the wait. The staff was friendly, the food was amazing. I never eat pasta in restaurants, but that cajun pasta was nothing short of delicious. It's topped with fried catfish- not greasy or oily. The pasta itself was creamy and had a nice heat to it. Perfect way to spend my bday night in NOLA.
Danie Stephens
The vibe, food, drink specials and service was great would definitely recommend morrow's to everyone it was a little wait for a table about 25 minutes but it was also a Friday evening and well worth it
Nik H.
LOVED my birthday dinner here! Really appreciated the care and attention we received even out on the patio. Zo took really good care of us along with another gentleman that "God forgive me" was genuinely sweet and helpful but I never caught his name. We enjoyed their Hennessy Margaritas, Chargrilled Oysters a MUST, Grilled Salmon and Mac. Don't fret about the wait. It's worth it. Just pack your patience as seating is a bit limited especially if there are large parties ahead of you. We lucked up on outside seating because others wanted to be inside.
F Patt
Let me start off by saying that this place right here is all that and a bag of chips... The line was long to get in, but I think it moved at a great speed. The food and drinks exceeded my expectations!!! Its a must go to for the experience!!!!! And make sure you request the "Celebrity Waiter."
Rhonda Ivey
The food was so delicious I had to order food to go. Matt was the best server ever. Best experience since being in New Orleans. I will definitely be back.
Nadia S.
That gumbo ramen is something delicious and the biscuits are divine! Our service was impeccable.
I SLAY ALL DAY TRAVEL The Solo Traveler
I came from DC and this is my first time ever eating gumbo and being in new orleans. The flavor was awesome. I dont what food we are eating in the rest of the country but the seasoning and taste here in New Orleans is different. It's like dog food compared to food for humans on the table. THE BEST🙏🏿👍🏿Thanks. Im still trying to figure if they are just using a bunch of Tony Sacharan or what???
Dwight Lewis
Excellent service, food, very loud, but it has a bar so I understand.
Britney Zanders
Food was delish, wait wasn't too long to be seated. They were REALLY busy so it took a while for the food to come out but we enjoyed the birthday celebrations in the interim 🥳🥳🥳. I ate AAAALLLLLLLL my food 😂😂🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️. #RedFishAndGrits …
Angel Hargis
Food was amazing! Service was not good at all.
All the food was fried in the lightest batter delicious and the bread pudding… yum we all
Unfortunately they don’t work as a team. Not nice! When I said I had met the owners and asked if they were in-house the waiter (Matt) said the female owner was “crazy.” Who does that??
Joy B.
The staff was extremely friendly and we just so happen to be there at happy hour. Food was good and the music also. Will be back again.
Melva Douglas
Waited over an hour before being seated.. had to get a manager involved because we waited so long to be seated and once seated the tables were so sticky.. our waiter said that's how the tables are... They definitely need new tables
Amanda Keys
No lack of flavor here. Everything we tried was my favorite. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent food! I think our servers name was Joe or Zo, he was very attentive and helpful. The ginger wings were finger lickin good and the crawfish bread had us dumbfounded. The table next to us was laughing because my husband was vocally exclaiming his love for the crawfish bread. Too top it off, we had the best peach cobbler we ever tasted. Good job! We will be back.
Ogads Way
Mixed feelings.....are we talking food or service?
The food was solid...happy hour drinks were good.....the service totally sucked! The young lady who intially took our order must have received bad news via text.....half of the table order came out and the rest well.......didn't! Rasheed the savor of the day brought our food out....saved our drinks from the melting ice while waiting patiently for the young lady to retrieve them. Rasheed the amazing guy from the back brought us everything we asked for while the young lady sat and mingled with other staff. Maybe her parents own the place.....I don't know but it is a poor reflection on the establishment! Of course management became involved in the conversation....and we feel as if he made things right within reason. Mistakes happen but the handling of the mistake counts for something! Rasheed keep doing what you do from beginning to end! As a team it isn't your job or my job...it is always OUR job! Thanks for turning this poopfeast into a better situation!
Golden Lioness
This place was recommended to me by 3 different people and i decided to give it a go. I absolutely love it. The atmosphere was great, the staff was very nice, and the food was delicious. Best cabbage I’ve ever had. Next visit to N.O I most definitely will come back.
Leona Willis
Delish...try the Morrow oysters too!
zizah143
This restaurant was so amazing! I came to celebrate my birthday and sat at the bar, no regrets! The overall service in addition to the food was so good! I can’t wait to visit the city and come to this restaurant again! Ps: the drinks were STRONG and tasty too!
Larry B
Revised review. Every item on the menu that I’ve tried was awesome. The alcoholic beverages were perfect. They updated their line waiting system giving customers the ability to view their place in line while waiting with live updates. Very active Bartenders. Marlon was extremely efficient and personable. Give the guy a raise. Be strategic about the time you visit due to the establishment being busy at all times of day. Hopefully an additional location is being explored.
Nay Jones
Food was amazing! Drinks were amazing! Cin was an amazing server. Will be back when we visit New Orleans.
IntrepidTeach
Had carry out appetizers and an entree recently. Service was quick & accurate. The BBQ shrimp was delicious, we got 12-13 large shrimp in a finger lickin' sauce. The pasta in cream sauce topped with catfish had a bit too much sauce for my taste, but the catfish was light, flaky, not greasy. Would've enjoyed the crawfish bread, but it was so SALTY, that was all I could taste, and generally I'm quite fond of salt.
eve minnis
Was my favorite place ever ! But the new manager is horrible. The lady has literally single handedly ruined the vibe of the entire restaurant. The food and staff are still 10/10 though
Chris Alonso
Definitely a must , I seen this place in social media and seen trending celebrities eat here as well , crawfish bread perfect , gumbo fire , seafood platter amazing definitely will be back this place is a vibe 🤞
L Porter
Food was great. The service was good. It was extremely busy so there was a lengthy wait. There isn't a parking lot so you have to ride around for a spot.
Dalancia
There isn’t a time that I visit Nola and DONT stop at morrows❣️ Jimi is THEE BEST bartender in Nola hands DOWN❣️ Between him and Marlon they create an atmosphere that is UNMATCHED❣️❣️ Food is 5 stars service is 5 stars and the vibes are UNMATCHED❣️❣️❣️ Try their gumbo pho and chargrilled oysters tell Jimi to concoct you one of his famous side cars❣️❣️ You wont regret it‼️‼️‼️
Kimberly Peterson
The best catfish I've ever tasted. This was a seafood platter with gulf shrimp, catfish, and oysters on a bed of fries. Please believe me this restaurant is the truth.
Michelle Hibbert
It's been almost a week since we visited and I cannot stop thinking of the many delectable meals we had and the other dishes I didn't have an opportunity to try. Come to Maryland please!
V J
Be prepared to wait in line or arrive early! The Char Broil Oysters💯 ..The Mid Upscale R&B vibe Simply phenomenal! I give 4 stars, needs a more experience host to facilitate the patrons seating! …
Ro Diddy
Food was excellent. But the service was out of this world. Extra Long wait times though because this place is is so popular
Tonya J
Great food and quantity at Morrow's! Wonderful drinks made by Jimmy at the bar! Thanks for a wonderful experience Morrow!
Sarita Sashington
This place was okay, charbroiled oysters were really good, my gumbo was just okay not a lot of seafood in my gumbo, also not a lot of seafood options on the menu. It's almost like Morrow's brought soul food to New Orleans.
I also had just a side of braised cabbage which turned out to be vegan and it tastes like it; it was pretty bland. My experience was nice the food was just okay. If you're in New Orleans looking for seafood this is not the place if you're looking for decent soul food you've come to the right spot
Zan H
WORTH THE WAIT. it was the best chicken and waffles I ever ate. The chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly the red velvet waffles was delicious.
Kaitlin Ham
I cannot recommend this place enough! I didn’t have anything that I didn’t love. The happy hour is excellent, and the food was divine!
Shemeca Alexander
The bartender was AMAZING!!! Atmosphere was great. Best of the 90s and 2000s R&B being played. Food was delicious
Chivonne
Food was amazing. The oyster morrow, wings, mac and cheese and lettuce wraps are a must to order. Will be back next time I'm in nola.
joe Hyer
The shrimp fettucine was quite good- but it’s the same portion as dinner, so too much. They should have a separate lunch menu. You also need to be ready to spend a leisurely lunch. Took us nearly two hours to enjoy it all. Long time between orders and courses serving….
Jalisa Espinosa
First let me tell you!!! Marlon was a great addition to our experience! We were sat at the bar so we can get good because we really wanted to try the food on our visit from nyc. We had brunch, food was amazing.... all of it! I'm so glad we decided to stay and wait it out for the bar seats. The plus side was that marlon was a great conversation and made sure we didn't feel rushed. I am also in the food industry and I know how it feel when it is time to go home. He made us feel like we were welcomed and made sure we took out time to really enjoy the food + drinks!! Keep up the great work. The entire team did a great job.
Carlie Kraus
Honestly, this was the best restaurant I’ve dined at since living in NOLA. Everything from the creole to the Korean cuisine was perfection. Miesha was our server and she was exquisite, she’s very knowledgeable on the menu, had great suggestions and was very personable. 10/10 would recommend. And their happy hour was the happiest.
Rashundra Thomas
This place is southern cuisine at it's best.. charbroil oysters is a must. Crispy catfish with the creamy pasta with homemade Alfredo sauce... chicken sweet potatoes with the cabbage... Kayla our waitress was outstanding... Did not disappoint all the way from Dallas...
Yali Franklin
The food was utterly delicious. AND the drinks (lemon & mango drops) woot•woot 🤩 shout out to Marlon & Richard and our waitress Imani - for GREAT customer service. If you’re looking for good food, great vibez & service… don’t forget to check them out. Gratitude NOLA! 😍

Charvonne
Food & ambiance was great! Bartender made a good Old Fashioned & was friendly. Food took awhile to come out but when it arrived was nice & hot. Definitely worth the wait
Steven Rose
All the food is delish, the service friendly. I will definitely go back. Catfish and bread pudding were are tops. It's always good to support locally-owned establishments like Morrow's. Highly recommended!
Mitz B
There have been several times when I had great customer service experiences, but this place far exceeded that expectation! From the moment we walked through the door, every staff member was very pleasant, kind and courteous. On top of the fact that we walked in at 10:30pm (restaurant closed at 11pm), the staff had worked all day and still serving a packed house, they STILL made it possible for us to enjoy your first-time experience at Morrows! The dining area has a great vibe, music was jamming and the food was very so yummy! I had the grilled salmon, cabbage and Mac n cheese - talk about delicious!! I highly recommend this place ☝🏽
Cooking IsArt
This place is a lot of hype. 18 dollars for basic fried shrimp? Lol I will say the chicken wings were good. Service was decent but slow. I will probably not return because of how expensive it is.
Autumn Stevenson
AWESOME FOOD AND SERVICE. I followed Lenora from the golf course to St. Claude. Don’t forget about the drinks!!
Wilma Jean Johnson
The food was great. The rice, as my 21 would say, was "givin"giving! Hubs had the Lamb chops. Good. I had it he fried shrimp. Yes, I would come back.
dana jordan
Absolutely loved this place . Waiter was great greeter was great . Absolutely no complaints
Patricia Mossey
The food was hot and delicious. Very lively atmosphere. Staff was professional and very courteous. I also enjoyed the music selection. Will definitely return.
Jessica Lykey
No only is the food amazing! The staff are so cool with a authentic new Orleans experience and pray it's someone birthday and the fun really begins ! Worth the wait.
Brittany Kari
Nice Vibe & Atmosphere, Great Service. Thoroughly disappointed in the food and wait times. Having flown into the city with the intention to go to this establishment solely because of the reviews and stories posted on IG, I had high expectations that the food was going to be top tier and not so.
We ordered a few things off the menu (which took forever) just to sample a bit of everything and nope!!!!!! The presentation of the food was lack luster, everything was super spicy, including the mac & cheese, I have never had spicy mac and cheese. The bbq shrimp was basically bland pick and peel shrimp and all this heavy sauce. The collard greens seemed gritty, and extremely hot and I love spicy food. It gave me the impression that the greens were not cleaned probably. The catfish po’baby bread was hard and it was dry even wit the mayo. I ended up just taking fish out the bread and just eating that, the fries were also hard and cold.
The charbroiled oysters weren't bad.
Disappointed and would not dine again when I am in NOLA!
Shaw
I think they are still working out some kinks. The food was nice. The drinks were super good! The atmosphere was great. The only issue is they seated us at a dirty table that had not be cleaned from the day before which made me question what the kitchen looked like. I'll give them one last shot before writing them off or keeping them on my list of great restaurants!
Stephanie Pierre
The food was absolutely amazing. Nice relaxed atmosphere. This was one of the best spots I visited while in New Orleans!!!
MACK GYRL
did not eat 😐 but the food looked and smelled delicious.
Anjoli Rowe
We ordered the crawfish pasta and a catfish poboy. We are staying just 5 minutes from this restaurant, so everything was nice and hot when it arrived. They did a great job with packaging - e.g., they placed a barrier between the fried catfish and the pasta so that it wouldn't be too soggy upon arrival. All do the seafood was cooked perfectly, had great texture and flavor. The fries weren't crispy at all, but the seasoning was good. The breading on the fish in the pasta was a little disappointing but not bad. We really liked the flavors on everything. And I'll add that they had quick service - our order was ready almost 15 minutes ahead of the expected time - and that was on a Saturday night at dinnertime. We would definitely eat here again, but we would try dining "in" next time.

Delectable food + strong drinks 🍸 😋

OMG‼️‼️‼️ Everything is sooooo delicious. The food comes out hot. Inari is the best server you can have during your visit. We tried and loved:
Red Fish
Catfish platter
Crawfish bread
Oyster
Bulgogi
Gumbo
Mac and OMG cheese and more
As a matter of fact, we’ll be back tomorrow for brunch ‼️‼️‼️

I'm sorry to say that we found this gem on the last night of our visit!! The absolute BEST food we had the entire week...it's well worth the wait. The oysters Morrow are charbroiled with crab magicness on top, they are just amazing!!
Ron Rodgers
It is by far my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. The food is so delicious.
Carla Urquhart
Seriously some of the best food I’ve ever eaten! It’s worth the trip to New Orleans just to eat here. The Cajun crawfish pasta with fried catfish was absolutely amazing and the greens were the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this spot!
Johnathan Carter
Omg! We were told to try this place. So glad we did. Everything was great. We're going again tomorrow before heading back to Mississippi.
Catherine Choplin
Excellent food in a great setting! Noise level is high, so conversation can be difficult.
That Guy88
Listen it's great food , drinks, music and staff. Everything on the menu is amazing !!! A must try when in the area .
A’Niyah The Vlogger
Everything was great! Catfish super fluffy! And red beans and rice with sausage was soo flavorful. Zoe was a great waitress !
Phaithe Norman
Crazy long wait but the food was great and the staff was super friendly.

Let me start by stating I am born and raised in CO. We visited NOLA a week before Ida hit. We were told to try Morrows, as it was down the street from where we were staying. We took it as a good sign that the place was busy; means good food- right?
I thought fried chicken, was fried chicken. OMG! This was the best fried chicken myself (or any of the 8 of us) ever had. The table had red beans and rice, steak, shrimp and gumbo. Not one of us had any complaints.
The staff was beyond friendly! I’d recommend the birthday drink experience.
We tried other places during our 5 day stay, but only Morrows has us all still talking.

I must say the staff at Morrow’s was awesome, very professional…I drove from Baton Rouge arrived at 11:15am to have a tables setup for 20 people at 1:00pm, I was told to come back at 12:40pm, so that they can prepare…Well no fault of Morrows my party did not arrived on time. The staff was very accommodating by assisting us with an additional seating for guest that arrived after we were seated.
I must add the food was awesome, and the bartender was off the chain.
I plan to visit again, but a much smaller party.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! Cin provided great service!

The gumbo ramen was delicious.
I’ve mixed many things with ramen before but none ever like this.I’m trying to be there every Thursday 😊

At the top of my list for my visit to NOLA and I made sure to get there literally right before the end of my trip. It was worth the wait 🙌🏽 The setting is beautiful and staff are friendly and make sure you get what you came for. I ordered the lamb chops with asparagus and side of mac n cheese. Baby, that Mac and cheese was so good! The lamb chops had some type of jelly suauce on top that I could’ve ordered separately to go, it was that tasty. The vibe was low key and music was R&B and gave me all the good feels 🥰 I miss Morrow but will definitely be returning 🤞🏽

Murrow's is a great laid back restaurant. The food was banging and so was the music!

The food was amazing!!! Best gumbo!! However the customer service was horrible!! We waited over and hour to get our food. The server never apologized.

Experience was amazing & the atmosphere was on point. Definitely a go to spot. Ask for Cin(waitress)

Went in early March, with my family for a vacation & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were able to get in before the evening rush so we avoided the line that formed shortly thereafter. From top to bottom it was wonderful! The food was exquisite, the atmosphere was great because it was about four birthdays, including my sister in law, & their celebrations are a personal party for about 40seconds. The drinks were good & reasonably priced while the service was just as good if not better. I would recommend to anyone visiting or looking for something to unique to New Orleans.

I came here for my sisters bday. Great vibes as soon as I walked through the door. Clean, nice decor with a diverse crowd. The bar was limited seating and was offered a table but requested a booth and got it with no problems. Our waitress was cool, funny and straight to the point with our questions about the menu. They work as a team so even the staff that wasn’t serving us took care of us. The menu has a Cajun- Asian- soul food fusion and all styles are delicious! I sampled the ginger garlic wings. Which had this delicious spicy ginger sauce with meat that fell off the bone,Cajun pasta (bomb), and a side of greens and cornbread. I enjoyed all of it. The food is on the heavy side so expect to fill up fast which I was expecting because of what I ordered and I’m happy when I have food to take home. Our server brought us to go containers without us asking. The French cocktail was sweet and efficient in given me a buzz after the second drink. If you like Drake he’s on heavy rotation here and the desserts looked amazingly decorated and garnished.

Good food. Service was fair. I think we had a new waiter. He tried though. We had oysters that were $25/dozen but delicious.

The food was really good. Meanwhile I lost my table due to host eating in the back and waited 2 hours to be seated!

Food was amazing. Had the seafood platter it was really good.

It’s Richard for me!!! The food was delicious, the vibe was cool, but Richard made our day. I came to celebrate my birthday here. Richard the bartender was super attentive and crafted some drinks especially for us. He made the whole experience amazing! Please visit and say hey to Richard!

Excellent food! You have to arrive early to avoid a wait.

I enjoyed the atmosphere the most here. We went for brunch and I had Shrimp and grits. I have a gluten intolerance so I usually have fewer options at breakfast time. Their grits are gluten free (grits are naturally GF but processing facilities or what a restaurant might add can alter that, so I checked). I will say that the flavors are on point but it does seem like the food is meant to be lower sodium (appreciate the health consciousness), so my food was right below being salted just right. I'd like a bit more salt. I do think a simple addition to the menu of a GF next to items, especially since it is currently a digital menu, would be helpful for folks, especially those visiting from out of town. The sweet tea was just right. And I would definitely go back, maybe for dinner.

The lack of parking is the ONLY negativity about visiting Morrow’s! The staff, food and atmosphere were absolutely amazing! I cannot recall if out server name was Jessica, but she worked her tail off during an extremely busy Sunday and every item was served with perfection.
The chargrilled oysters were phenomenal, the gumbo with Ramen…superb & and I am definitely ordering again, the red fish and grits were excellent and hubby enjoyed the perfectly seasoned chicken.
Will return

Morrow's has never let me down. The service and the food is always excellent!!

My friends and I took a girls trip to New Orleans from Atlanta and we ate at Morrow's and honey let me tell you the food was great. There was a wait but the owner made sure we were seated. Our food took a while due to the restaurant closing a little after we ordered but the owner made sure our food was fresh and gave us a percentage off for the wait. The drinks are great and the service was excellent. Lenora Chong the owner checked in with us frequently to make sure we were okay. She even had an employee walk us to our car because it was really late TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I will definitely be visiting Morrow's every time I come to the Nola!!!

This was my first time at this restaurant. We celebrated my brother in law’s birthday. We made prior reservations. Once we were seated we could already tell we were going to have a great experience. Our waitress Nicole was theeee BEST server I’ve had in a while. And another guy who assisted her with bringing our food out. He was so nice and patient. Serving a table of tipsy loud grown adults respectfully they were so nice. The drinks were BOMB and I don’t have a word to describe the food. From the oysters, crawfish bread, red beans, shrimp pasta, fried chicken, and I had a henny Margarita. We did not want to leave. We were already planning to return while sitting there LOL. We traveled from Baton rouge to see family in N. O and when we get together food is always how we begin our night. And it was so satisfying to patronize a black owned restaurant and actually get great service. We will be back real soon!!!?

Nice spot where the locals go. I had the Korean bibimbap and it was good. The spicy sauce was actually spicy, too. Which I enjoyed.
However, we went there for the Gumbo Ramen which is only served on select days; only to find out that the ramen is not served after a certain time. The restaurant should lead with that information especially since this item isn’t available daily.
Nonetheless, I’d recommend others to try Morrow’s.
Lloyd Medina
Great food not the greatest and friendliest place, however our waitress was on it and nice.
Natalie Walker
10/10 Would certainly recommend! Stopped on our way through on a road trip to Texas. Oysters were so good, happy hour apps were great and $5 Martini's couldn't be beat, the staff at the bar was excellent! We had a short wait but the hostess popped out and was able to seat us at the bar.
Maria Naves
Ended up here after the most random day on the recommendation of some strangers (gotta love NOLA!) The place was packed and the crowd was so welcoming. Made some friends at the bar and really liked everything I ate.

The atmosphere is always great. The vibe and the music.

Chargrilled oysters were fresh, amazing, and piping hot right down to the last bite! Good variety and options on the menu. Great service!

Thank you Morrow's! From the kind, efficient women who welcomed us to this urban casual, yet elegant, space to the perfectly braised cabbage & spinach and OMG absolutely delicious BBQ shrimp in the sauteed, spiked butter sauce, all was right with our luncheon choice this day !
The icing on the cake was the perfect service provided by our delightful & most helpful wait person Samantha (Sam)! My friend & I were so happsy with our time spent there.
And PS: The peach cobbler was the perfect sensual ending

My experience at Morrows was wonderful. The restaurant is full of life. The ambiance is lovely and the host are welcoming. Taking a star off because it took us a minute to get seated. My fav food on the menu is their cajun pasta!!! Super delicious
ThePlugz Daughter
Have to give Leia the bartender a shout out!! Been here more than once during the lunch hour during the week and her drinks never disappoint!! She’s attentive even if the bar is full and makes sure you’re taken care of. Tried different things to eat and everything has been good so far. If you have been hesitant to try, they are def worth checking out.

Food was AMAZING. We were a family of 7 and there was a wait but it was worth every minute. Shrimp and grits... best we had this entire trip. The lobster mac & cheese sooooo good. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. We all agreed the trip was good and Morrows helped make it worth coming back.
H Nicole
Service was wonderful at the bar. Very friendly staff. I really enjoyed the music and the cocktails. Our bartender made wonderful suggestions. Be patient with the kitchen because it's totally worth the wait. Don't come in a rush. You will only be cheating yourself out of a good time.

Words cannot do this place justice. Throughout my stay in New Orleans, I tried the BBQ shrimp, the sesame ginger wings, the fried chicken, the Korean BBQ, the asian chicken salad, the peach cobbler and the bread pudding (added ice cream to both desserts). Every dish was a HIT. The highlights were definitely the BBQ shrimp, the wings, the fried chicken and the bread pudding. This is undoubtedly the best restaurant I’ve ever been to and I cannot wait to come back. I must say the wait can be daunting at times, but I didn’t mind because I was staying upstairs. It’s definitely not a quite atmosphere if that’s what you’re into, it definitely feels like a party there. As a Miami resident and a decent cook, food doesn’t easily wow me, but Morrow’s left me speechless and wanting more. 100/10 would recommend! Best food in NOLA!!
Jarmon Jarmon
The food does not justify the wait. The highlight of the dining experience was the crawfish bread, it was excellent, but everything else we ordered was average. Literally, it was ok, hot, prompt, but average. This is more of a experience thing because this place is well known in NOLA. Unfortunately the experience is overshadowed by the wait. The fact that after waiting over an hour the best thing we had was the appetizer, says alot. No shade just an honest opinion from a foodie and her sis.

Everything was delicious and Katrina was great.

Had a birthday dinner last night that was awesome! Good atmosphere, service, and the food was awesome. Hats off to the Chef. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had a party of 8 and our waiter was great 👍🏾 I live in FW now but encourage all of my friends here in the city to give you a try 😃 …

Awesome crawfish bread and seafood gumbo. Great bartenders and happy hour specials.

Wonderful atmosphere & great service! We had a nice family lunch before returning back to Los Angeles, CA. I had the fried shrimp plate it was amazing & being from L.A. I could appreciate cleaned shrimp. My boyfriend & his mother had salmon which they loved. Our uncle took a plate of the special(fried catfish, okra & the fixings) of the day home, so you know it's good eats! We will be returning when back in the city!
Manitra Mcmillon
The morrow oysters are great, gumbo, red beans and rice, catfish and shrimp are delicious!!!
Derrick Grace
Loved the atmosphere and mellow "vibe" of the place. The food was good, as well. It seems like a very popular place that both locals and tourists alike visit. Again, the atmosphere is incredible. Recommend.
Kryssal
The service AND the food is top notch!! Love it here.

Excellent Customer Service. Inari was absolutely fabulous. She had awesome recommendations and the food is delicious. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting NOLA.

Went on a Friday and they were too busy to seat us. The hostess found us outside when something unexpectedly came open. The place was very lively and loud but the service was good and the food was great. Great experience.

This comment is gonna be long but I’m just being honest and keeping it real. The food was amazing. The cocktails are amazing. I had the crawfish pasta with 2 pieces of fried catfish on top and there was a load of sauce and seasoned to perfection. The chargrilled oysters are good too. The staff is wonderful. Our food came out quick and hot but we also ordered everything at once because of how crowded it was. The place is really small in the inside so there isn’t much for seatings. Overall the place feels like home. The music and the atmosphere of the place is what I enjoyed the most. Everyone was singing and dancing and just having a good time. Now……here is the negative side of this place. So boom no matter what time of day and day of the week you choose to go, the wait is going to be long. Our wait was two hours and we didn’t get seated until 2 hours. There is only one little bench outside to sit and no fans. Around this time of year, it’s hot in New Orleans. They could at least have somewhere to sit and cool down while we wait. Also I feel like they should offer water too. Now when you call this place, they will tell you they are not taking reservations. Okay that’s cool but what is very unprofessional is the fact that while Everyone was waiting in line, we would see large groups go inside and get seated right away. One of the staff members there would peek outside and wave to people I’m guessing she knew and seated them right away. So we went to the hostess and explained to her that we been waiting here and how are these large groups going ahead of us. Her exact statement was “ these groups had reservations that was approved by the manager or the owner, so there is nothing I can do”. My thing is this, if you say no reservations then keep it like that for everyone. I don’t think it’s fair that everyone is told no reservations but because you know the manager or the owner, you get to go in and sit down right away. Another problem I have is that there is no time limit for the seats at the bar or the tables. There was a group of women (about 15) that was there around 3 ,which is around when happy hour starts, all the way until closing time. They were also calling their friends to come inside and the staff was giving them chairs from tables ,that could be used to sit customers down that are waiting outside, so they weren’t standing up. Like this is suppose to be a restaurant, not a club. How are you gonna make more money if everyone is still sitting at the table with their to go plates, check already paid for but wanna stay the entire night because they don’t wanna go home. Like I get it, you having a good time but this is a restaurant. Anyways I recommend the food and everything but if you don’t know the owner or manager working that night, go eat somewhere else. Be prepared to stand in the heat and wait long and don’t be shocked if you or your party was skipped.

The food looks as delicious as I seen it in Instagram!! the staff was great as well!!
Taylor Cleveland
The wait was 2+ hours for a table, and 45+ minutes wait for the bar on a Thursday afternoon but that lets you know how in demand it really is. The drinks, food, service, and vibe definitely made the wait worth it. Check it out.
Danielle Brooks
This is my first trip to New Orleans and Morrow’s was recommended by a native. It was incredible! The pasta, fried shrimp, catfish and gumbo were all delicious. In addition to great food, the atmosphere was great as well. The music was jammin’ and the service was top notch. We will definitely be back!

Great NOLA atmosphere and even better NOLA cuisine and flavor. Staff is friendly just like real nawlians. Morrows is a most stop if in the area.

The food here is spectacular. I had the charbroiled oysters and the fried chicken dinner with red beans and rice and baked mac & cheese it was delicious. It may be wait but it well worth it.

The food was outstanding. Samantha, our server was extremely pleasant and did not disappoint in recommending our food selections. This was our first visit to Morrow's. What an experience. Thank you.

Food is good if you like to wait two hours

I went to New Orleans in January to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, the state went from Phase 2 to Phase 1, meaning all indoor bars were closed and it was cold outside.
Then here comes Morrow's to the rescue! I love supporting black owned businesses and Morrow's did not disappoint 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The atmosphere was great! The staff from the hostess, servers, busguy, and esp our waiter were amazing! We had the best food😋, drinks, music, ambiance...Morrow's was a whole vibe! I highly recommend this restaurant 🖤

This was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a very long time! The energy in this restaurant is unlike anything I've experienced before, it was palpable with feelings of community and unity. The bar tender created an exceptional cocktail while I waited for a spot at the bar...there will be a wait to prepare yourself and don't let it hinder your desire to go...its worth it! The food blew my mind!! I asked the bartender what was rhe best thing on the menu and he asked if I trusted him and I said yes...I'm glad I did because it was sooo good! I was served red fish on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes with grilled shrimp and topped in Cajun herb BBQ sauce! I highly recommend this place if you enjoy GOOD food and a dynamic dining experience!

Let me start by saying, Morrow's is a whole vibe for Blacks or anyone who loves black culture (all of y'all then) 90's R and B music, dark walls, black art (makes my heart glad). Next the establishment probably sits 80 people at any given time. So if you don't like to wait, arrive when they open. That's what we did. The reasons to come: 1. Drinks are plentiful; the bartender ain't stingy. 2. Atmosphere 3. It is black owned and operated. (Nothing but black folks working) We don't always see that in Houston. So it made me proud. Stay home: 1. If you're a foody over a vibe person. (The crawfish bread is good and the red snapper with the Asian BBQ sauce) I could do without the Caesar salad and gumbo. 2. If you're a cook yourself and you like nice ingredients, it is nothing you can't do at home. 3. If you ain't got time, don't come. We arrived 10 minutes prior to opening. We were the 2nd table to be sat and still didn't get our 1 entree until at least 30 minutes after ordering it. Yes, we had appetizers.
Will I go back, no. Should you go if you're not bothered by my stay home list, yes. It is important that we support OUR establishments so OUR community can thrive.
Amanda Greenwood
OMG!!! The best food we've had since landing in NOLA! What can you anticipate? Anything you order is amazing. My recommendations are try the BBQ Shrimp, Crawfish toast, and the Crawfish pasta. Our server was Nicole and she did an Amazing job! I'm going back tomorrow for more. I still want to try the Char grilled oysters. We just ran out of room since we arrived during happy hour 🙃! The Lemon drop martinis/drinks were fantastic. Even at 4:30 this place is packed because of their amazing food and happy hour specials. It's a little loud but after one drink you just become one with the Morrow's vibe.
Mike Russell
New Orleans best kept secret! We did a Thursday date night at this restaurant/bar, everything was absolutely delicious (food, drinks, & dessert) Our server was Matt, he was amazing as well. If you like spicy food try the Gumbo Ramen. We’ll definitely be back soon
