Reviews of Kingfish

Stumbled into Kingfish while doing some shopping during the day and we had a great experience with our service staff. Nice setup and good ambiance but it had a slight smell of something we just couldn’t shake. Our crawfish bread came out with entrees which was a little disappointing but it tasted so good. The red beans and rice with fried chicken was so good I ate leftovers the next day. And the Craklin’ Nachos were something new, exciting, and surprisingly tasty. Our one fail was the shrimp dish though. Way too much vinegar and when we asked the manager they just basically said it is what it is. No offer to exchange that dish. Worth trying but not somewhere that makes me want to come back.

We stopped in at Kingfish for lunch and had no great expectations. Wow!!! We had great drinks, great food and the most amazing service.
I would suggest Kingfish to anyone looking for great food and service in NOLA.
We have traveled all over the world and Kinfish is equal to some of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at. We will be back next time we are in NOLA.

Wow! Unexpectedly one of our fav dinners for the entire week. Scallop fettuccine and fried chicken…absolutely wonderful! The scallops were buttery and cooked perfect. The fried chicken was very tender with a perfect crispy crust and tasty pepper jelly. Great service, great ambience. We will absolutely put this on our list of must-eats in New Orleans. Great dinner!

We happened on this wonderful restaurant on a warm December day leading up to New Years. The food was amazing! The drinks were great! The service was outstanding! The recommendations were on the mark! This restaurant will definitely be on the rotation each time we are in New Orleans!

Crab cake was delicious. Grits and shrimp were good but the sauce was too acidic. Lots of fried food.

Loved the ambiance. The food was phenomenal. Blackened Mahi, roasted Brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes. The “gardenhead” special drink was very refreshing. Our waiter made our experience top notch.

Stopped by for happy hour. They have great prices for drinks and small plates. Tried the Hurricane, Sangria and Crawfish Bread. All were great.

The food was phenomenal. The Duck and andouille gumbo was one of the best I've ever eaten, my friend had the fried green tomato and shrimp remoulade, which he said was very good. But the best thing we ate on our visit was the Red beans and rice with southern fried chicken. It was by far the best red beans either of has ever tried, they turned a dish that's an after thought most places into the star of a menu.

Service was great, atmosphere is really nice and food was great! It was very rich but we highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwhich and grits

Fantastic experience here. My husband and I were strolling around the French Quarter and decided to go here. We went early and on a Monday so it wasn’t busy. The staff were incredible. Our server, Tessa I believe was her name, was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had. Very soft spoken, knew the dishes well, made great recommendations, checked in just enough, no small talk but was friendly.. she was just so good. Our drinks stayed filled. Atmosphere was perfect and great music.
Now; the food! We ordered the crawfish bread as an appetizer and oh my goodness.. YUM! My husband got the Red Beans and Rice with chicken and I got the BBQ scallop fettuccine. We shared dishes and each one was just delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting NOLA. Great establishment.
