WOW! The staff was incredible. We sat at the bar and our server was AMAZING! She recommended the gumbo, raw oysters and Taste of New Orleans. Everything left us craving more. Nothing beats a great server no matter what the food is like. Wish more people were as friendly as our server. These Wisconsin folks will definitely come back again. Thank you!

I ordered a shack boil with house seasoning and extra hot. It was tasty and not spicy. Snow crab that came with it was very thin, not sure if that’s how snow crabs are but they were too skinny to use with the utensils to crack them. Overall I did enjoy my food but will frequent another location that gives out a huge amount of food in their boil for less price

We are from the UK and have always wanted to try some real Cajun seafood! This place did not disappoint. We took the Cajun Boil and the Lobster Platter and both were absolutely delicious. We leave tomorrow otherwise we would be back again. Big thanks to Jen and Brandy for the great service! Highly recommended.

Great food in a friendly atmosphere! Our party ordered and shared grilled oysters, gator bites, crawfish beignets, wings and the Cajun Classic boil with an additional pound of crawfish. All dishes were perfectly delicious and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

I had to quarantine for work at my hotel in NOLA so I treated myself to a seafood boil via Uber Eats! I chose Cajun flavoured and the whole thing was excellent. Such a fun thing to order to get that southern fix.

First visit: Too much butter on the seafood. But the seafood was fresh. Maybe I will get the butter on the side for my next visit. Second visit: Very tasty 😋 with the butter on the side. Just my preference. So delicious and fast service. Seafood was perfectly cooked.

This is the Taste of New Orleans. It was good for two people. We got the boil house flavor and medium heat. Very yummy. Service is a bit slow as our server kind of forgot about us several times and/or he was new idk. Either way it was good to stop in and enjoy the food.

Best seafood ever. In fact, my buddy that thought he had a shellfish allergy tried it, and we ended up proving that wrong when he ate half of our food. The heat was absolutely perfect, and you couldn't get a better taste. I'm definitely in a food coma. 3 people could easily share the feast. I feel pregnant because I'm so full. I highly recommend this place.

Came for a group dinner. I was not as hungry as I had eaten earlier. We started with appetizers. We all shared alligator bites & calamari. Aside from the apps, I got a smaller plate for a main course. I got the crawfish etouffee. It was delicious. Finished it quick. However, for all of us who had sodas, we agreed they were all flat. Some of the dishes let you choose a spice level. Some felt it wasn't spicy enough for its level. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal had by all.

Phenomenal!!! Best crab shack in all of NOLA…I got the Dungeness crab, prepared with Boil House seasoning with medium heat. What an endorphin release. Absolutely perfect. The drinks are great too. Might I recommend the Adios MF, but it’s looks are deceiving: this is one potent potable!

Great food and great service! Heard a lot about it so I decided to go over the weekend and I wasn’t disappointed. Our server Sarah was bomb and on point very quick. We had ordered the char oysters and the feast with everything. She made sure we had everything we needed and didn’t wait or have to look for her for anything. Really nice place! We had ordered Uber eats a couple of times and it was really good so decided to dine in. And it was even better. Cocktails were great, food was great and our server Vonda was super attentive and helpful. She really made the experience top notch. The other staff, particularly a young man server, were also nice.

Weeks before our flight to Nola from our home in Hawaii we received our weekly email from one of the many Nola advertising sites. This one listed 10 of their favorite new restaurants. One jumped out as a possibility. It was Hieux Boil Seafood House. We’ve been to Nola numerous times but never during crawfish season. Well it’s now crawfish season and since there are no restaurants in Hawaii where you can find fresh,live crawfish we decided to try Hieux. Being former Wine Educators for over thirty years in NYC we really take our restaurant choices seriously. Here are our reasons why Hieux is now in our top five Nola restaurants. It’s seriously cute from the outside with a very nice and comfortable lanai. We opted for the inside venue. The inside vibe is immaculate with with lots of room on each table for all the many dishes you will eventually choose. The initial greeting was pure Hawaiian Aloha/Nola. Some of the nicest staff members you will ever meet. Their knowledge of each and every dish was amazing. Their explanations really made for a memorable lunch. Their beer list on tap was special; thank you Abita Amber! We were there to pig out and boy did we ever. We hope we will be able to be ready for another of our top ten restaurants tonight, ByWater American Bistro. Speaking of food, here is a list of what we ordered with some special help from our server Taniel. Just Note: you have a choice of sauces. The most popular is Garlic but we opted for Cajun since we are in Nola. Also we picked medium heat and it was a perfect choice for us. Tniel described in detail all of the choices and we decided on The Taste of New Orleans. We started off with an appetizer of Crawfish Beignets with whole crawfish tails mixed in the batter. The rest included Blue Fin Crab, Shrimp, Crawfish, Andouille, Corn and potatoes . The sauce that everything nestled in was by far one of the truest and best examples of Cajun cuisine we’ve ever had. EVERYTHING was super fresh. Bibs helped with the pig out as well as a nicely setup full roll of paper towels. We felt that we died and went to Cajun Heaven. Make reservations because this restaurant will be discovered and seriously packed. Mon. Oct. 25 2021 When you first opened on Tulane we eagerly made reservations from our home in Hawaii. Our afternoon feast was amazing and we showed our application with our many very positive reviews. When we decided unexpectedly to travel back to NOLA you were our first reservation we made via Yelp. Yesterday we received a text to confirm our reservation for today Monday the 25th at 1pm. We happily did so and received a Thank You. Upon arriving at your Tulane address via taxi we found a locked gate and a LED sign saying open at 3pm. We called your number only to hear a voice message. You can only imagine our total disappointment. I then called you at 3pm and asked for a manager. She apologized and said that there was a new management and all previously reservations were not in their computer log. This made no sense. We find this attitude totally unacceptable and we will rate our new experience as a total negative 180 degree review. This is not what we expected. New management= disaster!

We had been looking for a tasty and reliable source for crawfish. We just wanted a little for a socially distanced picnic. We ordered po' boys with the bang nag sauce on the side. GET IT ON THE SANDWICH HOLEY MOLEY. So delicious! the crawfish was so good we've gone back the last three weekends. A+ guys.

Oh for the love of all good things, go here and eat it all. We are visiting NOLA and wanted to eat all the seafood boil we could. So many menus are fried food heavy, we were starting to get discouraged. And the Hieux saved the day. We ordered a la carte snow crab and headless shrimp plus veg and crawfish cakes. With a teen and tween in our party, we kept the heat to Medium but went with Boil House spice. So much the right decision!! Our local low country boil is heavy garlic and butter and lighter on Cajun. Hieux has a sauce that is complex, rich, bursting with flavor. I want to say there is a hint of cocoa in that spice which was magical. If I could replicate this at home, I'd be a gozillionaire. 😆 this cute restaurant is part of a changing neighborhood but conveniently located and with parking. The outdoor seating is modern and lovely with covered porch, fireplace, and high tables. Indoor is small (reservations accepted!) and decor is a bit incoherent but it's clean and the service is good. Go here asap.

Drink was very strong. I had the hurricane. My server was nice and familiar with the menu. I had the crawfish beignets, which were just ok. I also had the charbroiled dungeness crab. It came with 5 charbroiled shrimp, corn and potatoes. My daughters shared a plate of snow crab with all the fixings. The seafood was seasoned well but I definitely was overcharged. My total was $170 for $13 appetizer a $10 beverage 2 $3 beverages. $45 meal and $55 meal. I assumed it was tax but when I got home it didn't add up hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Online ordering was rough and we ended up having to order in person which was fine. The wait wasn't too long even though they were very busy. The food was very good but not quite what we ordered which is where the missing star went to. Would order again, but not online.

Tiara was amazing , i loved her as our server. She was nice, she consistently checked on us and our table was 8+. She made sure we knew that gratuity was already applied, and told us not to double tip. A song came on & she was so quick to turn the volume up for us, her & the crew started dancing with us, it was the best interaction with the staff there i recommend this place to everyone & ask for tiara she’s 100% amazing. -from the party of 10 singing FNF 😂😂😂

You simply MUST try the chargrilled oysters. They were amazing! I almost went back for more. The service was great. I hate that I forgot our server's name, but it started with a T! This is not a restaurant you want to miss during your New Orleans visit.

Amazing! We had a really bad experience at the other location on magazine st. They turned us away at 9 pm and told us they wouldn't be taking anymore tables even though they were open till 10! So we called this location and I was immediately greeted with kindness. I explained our situation and the hostess assured us " that's fine baby you can get a table just come on". When we arrived we were seated and had drinks and appetizers very quickly and our waitress BRANDY was so sweet and went above and beyond to insure we had a wonderful experience. Definitely will be back and I will recommend to everyone!!!

Shrimp po boy was amazing. The bang bang sauce is what sets it off. The boiled seafood was slightly over cooked so was difficult to crack and the boil seasoning is slightly sweet. Wish I would have gone w Cajun and garlic mix vs adding in Caribbean which creates the house boil seasoning. Can’t say enough great things about the shrimp po boy. I’ll be back for it. Best I’ve had in town and I’ve probably had one at every other location. Tiara was our server. We were a group of ten females, as you can image difficult. But she was a boss. She was quick efficient and flawless. If she lived in Nashville I would offer her a job. 10/10 best service I’ve received on NOLA.

This place is awesome! We enjoyed the food so much we had to visit again before we left. The oysters and sea food trays were delicious. Or waitress was a young lady named “T”. She was very polite and attentive to our every need. If you want real seafood go there. You won’t be disappointed. Get there early for good parking options.

I got three pounds of crawfish and it was AMAZING. Had us waiting outside until they opened amazing. The flavor and spice level were perfect!! It was a small place so everything came out fast and I appreciate that. The drinks were just okay to me. I had a peach daiquiri. Def recommend going to this place if you’re looking for fresh good seafood at a sit down!

Our server Tyler was great with helping us make a selection. Crawfish was decent except for the fact they add the seasoning on top after it's boiled. Bill for 2 people came up to $98. Unfortunately $10lb for crawfish is too high for us to return. If within your price range its a pretty chill spot and you should visit.

We made a reservation for 830pm. We were able to sit down about 5 minutes after arriving which was good BUT I was not aware that we would have to sit outside. This place is smaller than I expected. I was celebrating my birthday and I dressed nicely for an inside sit down dinner with my husband. It's summertime so it was a bit warm outside and there were a few bugs in the air that we had to swat away.This was our first visit to this location since we are from Texas. It took over an hour to get our food. There were a few tables that were served before us but they arrived after us. We tried to remain calm since our waitress was very kind. There was a table of people next to us and they were annoyingly loud. Even our waitress was annoyed. The online menu price for one of our appetizers was $2 more than advertised and my husband asked for shrimp without the head but it arrived with heads on all of them. I probably won't visit this location anymore but I will try out the one closer to Burbon street to give it a try. Overall it was okay.

Went there for crawfish and was told crawfish only sold in the buckets not by the pound. Only way to get it is buy getting a bucket with other items in it. To get what we wanted would have to purchase 3 buckets. I feel this is a money grab and not serving the customers. We have gone here before and we're able to get crawfish by the pound. However, the boil we got was good The shrimp platter was not so good - shrimp was very dry. Our server and hostess were great.

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday night, had reservations but apparently our table was not available once our group of 4 got there. The food and service was good. It could've been better but it wasn't bad. What was bad was the bathroom. There were no paper towels and no soap. They had dawn dish soap that I had to put water in, swish around and use. There was also toilet paper on the floor. I do understand they were busy but someone still needs to check the bathroom AT LEAST once an hour for the spot cleaning.

This is the best place for a seafood boil in my opinion everything was just right, now the second time I came here the only complaint I had was the snow crab legs had absolutely no meat in them, was a little disappointed and kinda skeptical on going again but I did and the manager seems to care a lot about his customers and his service, asked me about my experience and said he would correct it tonight because he cares and wants to make it right. We came here for the crawfish boil and my boys were not disappointed. Bring your appetite! The seafood was ample and well-seasoned. There is a little work involved, breaking open crabs and crawfish and shrimp, but the effort is worth it. Expect to get messy! Also, the shrimp po-boy was tasty, as was the calamari.

This restaurant made my trip to New Orleans. The staff are kind, the food was amazing, and the overall atmosphere was extremely enjoyable. I am especially glad I had the pleasure of being waited Miss TaNiel. She took the time to answer questions graciously and was very kind/attentive. This place was great! We were looking for a place were my girlfriend could eat some authentic crawfish boil and I could go somewhere with vegetarian options and it exceeded both out expectations! Also it was the friendliest place we went to the whole time we were in town.
