Reviews of French Toast

I love french toast. So when I saw that this restaurant existed, I absolutely wanted to come here on our vacation. We walked here and had outdoor seating. With the humidity, the staff went above and beyond to get us some nice cold water. The food was hard to choose from and I had my heart set on their French toast. It was absolutely amazing. The French toast was magnificent and so soft, too! I recommend this place to anyone wanting some good breakfast!

Amazing breakfast place! Very cute indoor and outdoor seating areas. The staff were wonderful and very were funny. The food itself was delicious. We tried the “Fried Chicken & Waffles with Maple Syrup & Cayenne Butter”, as well as the “Omelette with Fine Herbs and Gruyère”. The fried chicken was very, very good! I recommend putting the butter on top of the chicken and letting it melt.
Try to book a spot in line online on their website before you go. It will tell you the estimate wait time and save you from having to wait in line outside.

Relaxed place to eat with indoor, outdoor and bar seating. I've walked by this place tons of times and had no idea it was there....such a jewel!!!
Even if you don't eat bread, get a toast item!!!!!! Their bread is so good! We had the smoked salmon toast and the bacon mushroom toast... So good!!!
Prices are good for the quality and portions.
Love the option to order a double mimosa. Great staff and service.
We got lucky and there was no wait!

This location is in the French Quarters on what I would like to call a strip. We walked in and was seated right away. The servers and the host were so nice and friendly. The food did not take long to come out and it was pretty good! It was definitely a vibe in this place! One thing I will say is if you like mimosas the way I do, I recommend asking what kind of Champagne they use because I wasn’t impressed. Overall, it was a great experience. Thank you all !!

Great spot for breakfast! The team there is friendly and service was excellent. We sat outside and enjoyed the people walking by. Many asked if the food was as. Good as it looked and absolutely said yes! The French toast was out of this world delicious.

You've GOT TO ORDER the Coconut Pineapple French Toast. It is without a doubt the best French Toast I've ever had. I loved it so much I went back on my last day in New Orleans to have another one. It's got a caramelized pineapple perched on a thick slab of toast that is absolutely stuffed with coconut cream. The entire thing has candied macadamias on top for crunch and is drizzled with lemon curd just to cut through the richness a bit. You just got to get it. 😋
Also try the Brandy Milk Punch with the French toast. It's the perfect brunch cocktail.

Delicious! Could not have been more pleased with this little breakfast joint. Of course you are thinking French toast when you see the name but they had so many other options. The French toast was delicious but so were the crepes. Definitely do yourself a solid and hit this place up for breakfast, don't be discouraged by the line, it's a small place but very much worth it.

Walked in, place was busy, but not quite full. Table we sat at was clean. Staff was super nice. I ordered Chicken n Waffles with cayenne butter & maple syrup. My wife had ham/mushroom/guryere crepe. Both were fantastic. Definitely recommend eating breakfast here. Huge portions. Good prices considering it's location and portion sizes.

This place was so good we went two days in a row. Both days my fiance had the breakfast classic. The first day I had this coconut cream filled french toast with macadamia nuts (absolutely delicious) the second day I had the chicken and waffles with a spicy butter. The chicken was cooked to perfection and waffle fluffy. Butter was a nice change in pace. Only got a pic of the french toast. Check this place out.

Amazing breakfast. First place we went when we got off the plane. Serving staff was great 😊 atmosphere was nice. Food tasty and creative! Try the French toast! Very unique and flavorful! …

Had a great experience here. The vibe was low key and comfortable. Morgan took very good care of us, puffed pancakes balls are to die for! We’ll definitely be back on our next NOLA visit!
Mike C
Amazing food. Mushroom; Spinach, Onion and Goat cheese. I added 1 egg. Fresh fruit and Lyonaisse Potatoes. French Toast with Berries and two eggs. Service was wonderful across from a park. We ate outside and enjoyed a peaceful sunny start to the day. Highly recommend the restaurant

My favorite breakfast spot in New Orleans! Everything was amazing! Even the potatoes, the best breakfast potatoes ever! Really unique food offerings, and the staff was super warm and welcoming.
Amanda Feenstra
Our experience here was amazing! The service was fast and friendly and pricing was decent. We both ordered chocolate milk and it was sauce blended with milk, which is our preference compared to a bottle or carton milk.
The Nutella and banana crepes were tasty, and the French toast with berries was great too. They were out of strawberries, but they did have a homemade strawberry compote so they gave that along with the maple syrup for the French toast. All in all would recommend!
Jorge Alaniz
This place really exceeded my expectations. I was a bit negative about this place because we had a long wait with no reservations. We walked around the market until it was near our estimated time. The food was amazing! Worth the wait. I think those chicken strips were the best I ever had and that butter on the waffle made it a bit more savory. My partner got some type of mushroom omelette. Overall, price was reasonable for what you get but the wait can be long.
Philip Hake
Friendly service and hot fresh breakfast.
This was more of a greasy spoon diner than I had anticipated, however I was not disappointed.
The french toast was thick and delicious with a great batter. The bacon was really good, thick and smokey. The busicut unexpectedly had cheese in it which was weird with jam, would have been better just served with just butter.
Overall good spot if you arrive early. I'm not sure I'd wait if there was a long line.
Stephanie Williams Ruzycky
French Toast is a quaint, little restaurant with fabulous food and excellent service. Wonderful variety of menu selections. Generous portions, everything was cooked perfectly, including the bacon which was nice and crispy. Latte and hot chocolate were both good. Just a note regarding the french toast, it was thick and dry, like actual toasted bread. It did not have the soft custardy center I am accustomed to, but that may be a regional thing.
We stayed at Hotel Provincial, so it was just a quick walk downstairs.
Deric Staton
This place has a lot of character. You can tell it has some age to the place, but it was really clean and charming. Best of all, the food was delicious AND very reasonably priced. Looks delicious, too. Highly recommend.
Lindsay Marie
We saw this restaurant and decided to try it. I got the King Cake French Toast. My husband got the ham cheese and mushroom omelet. Those establishments was great through and through.
Ryan Birr
This is a little taste of heaven on Earth. I have a hard time expressing how much I loooooved the chicken and waffles. I cannot recommend it enough. We loved it so much we came back for a second time during our trip to NOLA. And of course everyone knows how many great restaurants there are in NOLA, so this was no small decision, but an easy one. It will go down as one of the best bites of food I have ever eaten. I can't wait to go back. Our servers were absolutely lovely and really added to our experience. Just as a note, we went there a little after 1 each afternoon and got immediate seating.
Avais Sherani
This must be your breakfast spot (at least once) when in NOLA. Everything was amazing including the food, quality, quantity, and service. Although we reached almost at 10:30, there was still a queue, and the wait time was 20 minutes. However the queue was gone by the time we got in. They have large indoor seating area, while a few tables and chairs are also set up on the sidewalk outside the restaurant. There were many repeat customers in the restaurant. The portion sizes are really big so its a pretty filling breakfast/brunch. Their French Toast was absolutely amazing.
Ms. Pat
The food was very delicious. I think pairing chicken with French toast would be a great addition to the menu... or at least offering chicken ala cart. The bacon was good but the chicken with the French Toast was better.
Art Without Fear
outdoor seating available for non vaccinated diners like myself! usually very busy, it’s always best to call ahead.
hands down probably number 1 spot for a breakfast / brunch experience in the french quarters. located near the french market, depending on your schedule, you can either start your trip here, squeeze it into plans, or end it here.
amazing service, food, drinks.
if your dinning outdoors, be mindful you will be amongst life and nature going on while you dine. flies, people walking, honking cars etc.
Jon May
Small and quaint but very good food. The only complaint is the seating is a bit cramped. The food is delicious and not too over priced like everything else in this area of New Orleans. The service was excellent. One more thing... it's attached to The Hotel Provincial one of the most "haunted hotels in New Orleans." :) Definitely worth a visit.
Ajchariya Nardella
Amazing brunch place, everything is so good. Delicious both sweet and savory dishes. Must try!!
Samuel Woolfenden
Very tasty. A friend recommended this place and I'm glad they did. It was a great place for brunch. I got the chicken and waffles with a mimosa. Yum!
Nate V
Best breakfast biscuit I have ever had. Handmade and you can tell. Delicious bacon. Great service. Yummy Bloody Mary. 12:15 on. Thursday and patio seating was pretty much open.
***Update 6 months later***
I showed some friends this biscuit and I have wanted this darn thing ever since. Well, walked 20 mins over there and signed up for their waiting list on Yelp (after a phone call). Mmm SO glad we made that walk over there. I seriously can’t want til I get back for another one! Ordered a side of grits this time as well, creamy and delicious. Y’all keep it up!
Dallas Anderson
Breakfast was average. I got the breakfast sandwich and was a little disappointed. The biscuit was dry and the eggs were very overcooked. Latte was great and I did taste a friend's king cake french toast which was very sweet but tasty. Unfortunately they were unable to serve potatoes for 30 minutes during breakfast for some reason. Service was okay, could have been more friendly. Definitely join the waiting list if you are going at a normal mealtime as there can be a wait.
Jasmine McNear
Every time I come to New Orleans I have to stop here. I find it the most enjoyable experience about New Orleans and hands down the best restaurant I’ve eaten at lunch and dinner. I seriously can’t get enough. I wish the restaurant was larger. I ate outside the last time and there was a man outside collecting knives and making everyone uncomfortable. I would recommend just waiting for a table.
Gilberto Perez
Ate at the french toast on the market street and i got this dish the omelet seem to be spongy the toast was a lil hard bacon over way cooked but over all it was ok honest opinión
Kimberly Sanders
One of my favorite restaurants ever! Food is amazing. Highly recommend the King Cake French Toast. ❤️
C Sparks
This is a really amazing little cafe. The food tastes delicious and the staff are incredibly nice. Grab a nice hibiscus tea to cool off.
Michael Freeze
Came to this place on a quiet Friday morning while visiting New Orleans to grab some brunch. The entire menu looked delicious but sadly we didn’t have enough people to justify ordering absolutely everything.
What we did order did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, fast, and affordable.
Shefali Salim
Did not disappoint. Service was on point and food was delicious! Has outside seating. Popular so a short wait may be expected. Would recommend to a friend.
D. Jaxxson
Let me tell you all something! I had the best dang French Toast ever at this joint. Not very big, but the food is plentiful, sweet, and tasty! Back to the French Toast - it was crunchy, thick and oh goodness delicious! I can’t say anymore, try it yourself!
M Croz
The food was delicious. The service was really good and friendly. The dipping sauce for the chicken was amazing.
Peyton Nardella
Staff was amazing and the food was even better. Large portions but worth it and the king cake French toast were to die for!!
Jim Vosler
Best breakfast in town. Great food and the service was excellent. Very busy but worth the wait.
Ryan Thompson
This is the best French toast I have had. The fruit was fresh, the bread is perfect. I would come back anytime I needed French toast.
Rob Cartwright
Best place for breakfast or lunch while in New Orleans. Excellent food and sweet treats at reasonable price. Good service.
DANNYDOORMAN28
Found this little gem on the main strip while checking out the city during the week. Parking can be a pain and we didn’t have to wait in line but can imagine what it would be like on a weekend. Toast had an awesome host (can’t remember her name but Afro American lady) which was very professional and very helpful while we dined here. The menu had great choices to choose from and strongly recommend the Coconut French Toast with creamed brûléed Pineapple which is pictured on here. It was massive and can be split in two. I would have given a 5 star but that Chicken biscuit was too small but delicious. We will definitely come back because of the service and the French Toast offerings. Keep up the great work guys !
GayLynn BANOS
Great breakfast place ! Best bloody Mary’s in town ! Wait staff in town . Great location to river and market
Robert Mower JR
It was a lengthy wait to get in, but it was worth it. The staff was friendly, attentive and always hustling. The food was delicious. Wife had the coconut stuffed French Toast. It was delicious. My buddy had chicken & waffles and said it was very good. His wife and I each had omelettes and they were stuffed full with fillings.
Y J
This place came highly recommended and I see why! Everything was absolutely delicious! Kudos to the cook. The staff was friendly. The only critique is that they don’t have a non pork meat breakfast meat option. And the cake like taste of the French toast is the what people enjoy. It’s quaint and a wait so be patient. It’s worth the wait.
Derek D.
Always an amazing experience. Food and staff are wonderful! The prices are great too 😊 …
Jeremy Mitchell
Superb service and even better food! This should be a must on your list when in New Orleans, LA. Be prepared to wait! However, they have an online queue check in system that works really well to manage this. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the portions were hearty. We will certainly be coming back again!!
Pantea Ahmadi
Really enjoyed the brunch here.
Try the french toast and you will impressed with that

Nice, easy breakfast. Service quick and very friendly. Quality of food is decent. If you are looking for soaked and soft French Toast, this is not the place. It looks beautiful but was dry for being so thick. Coffee great. OJ is from concentrate. Hot chocolate tastes more like hot milk. Bacon crispy and perfect.
Charvonne
1st experience here & was not expecting such big portions!!! Food was amazing, drinks were strong. Perfect place to come to soak up that alcohol from the night before
Brandon Kohr
Pretty good breakfast spot. Lots of French toast options (obviously) and everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. I got the waffle and it was a little overdone and thin. Service was nice and friendly. Overall, I'd probably go back and try some other items.
Chris Nazelrod
I sat at the bar and every single thing that came up in the order window looked great. I got the king cake stuffed french toast and was not disappointed.
Myers Beck
Amazing breakfast/brunch diner! Thought I would be exploring as many options as I could in NOLA but went here two days in a row instead. Food is fantastic and fast and the service is totally on point. Had the best chicken and waffles of my life the first day and then had a "lighter" toast dish the second day that was just what I needed.
Emma corazones (oligoemma)
this place my best spot in this street
all of dishes are high satisfaction!
especially i fall in love the grits here
dont miss it
Brandon Speth
The best breakfast! The French toast is amazing and I didn’t even need syrup for it. Coffee was very good and service was prompt as well.
Omar Leos
This place was worth the wait!! Delicious food and amazing service. They are taking great precautions to be safe and I’m thankful for that. I will be back for sure. For those that want to go, put yourself on the online waiting list. That would have cut down some time for us.
Alex Tomes
Best brunch food I have ever had! Our server was great! The food was incredible! The chicken was phenomenal and so flavorful and the crepe was delicious. Even the bloody Mary was great!
Paola Macrini
I think this is a very good place for a nice stop over for lunch while visiting the French Quarter. The waiter was really nice. He even gave us 2 huge cups of iced water while leaving because it was hot outside. I liked the location and the food was nothing fancy but good. Don't miss the Aebelskivers with lemon curd sauce!
Jessica Wirick
Quick stop for some breakfast/brunch. Food was flavorful, and good. Not a huge menu, but enough of the fan favorites that it’ll do. Close to the French Market.
Sharice Larsen
Delicious, hot, fresh food. Do the waitlist online before you walk from your hotel and the table will be close to ready when you get there. Staff was super friendly and attentive with drinks and anything else you needed. We got the French toast and the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Marvin K
Best place in the city for breakfast. I had the catfish and Bloody Mary as well. ALL OF IT IS GOOOOD!!
Justin Johnson
Had the Croque Madame, and it was absolutely delicious. Got great reports from the crepes and the fried chicken biscuit. Bloody marys are really good too. All in all a great place for brunch. Highly recommend.
Vanessa Blansett
If you're into a sweet breakfast, this is your place. Servings are huge.
Serenity C
Normally visit the Gentilly location. However, this one does not disappoint. My favorite dish is their chicken and waffles. We also ordered the coconut cream french toast. Everything was amazing. There was a mix up with our waitlist spot, someone tried to tell me we were not on the list after they called our table. After waiting for over an hour, that was pretty aggravating. Other than that, great food and great service.
Education Pillar 3
Nice cafe style breakfast spot with great service and delicious food.
We sat out front and had several people stop and say how delicious our breakfast looked, we could confirm it was indeed as delicious as it looked.
Recommend stop while you are visiting the French quarter.
Amanda Young
I only gave them 4 stars because the coffee ( just black coffee) was just okay. Everything else was fabulous. The food is great but you get a lot.
When you get their go inside put your name on the list then go back outside. They will txt you when to come back in.
Branden Strom
I got the strawberry and chocolate crepe, my gf got the capers, salmon, egg, and cream cheese on toast with the Pom Mimosa, EXCELLENT!! Staff were friendly and service was great!! Short wait time. Look forward to returning to try more menu items in the near future.
Sprigg Tidwell
Great breakfast. Big portions. Many options. Fast, friendly service.
My family went at around 10am on a Tuesday morning, and we sat at the bar because all the tables were full and we didn’t want to wait.
Erica Wheeler
The King Cake French Toast and Coconut Cream Stuffed French Toast are both the best breakfast items we ate while visiting! So yummy... heavy, but oh so yummy!
Nicholas Riegel
Great food. Make sure you try the Aebelskivers 😊
Grant Black
Its small, ancient, and crowded. But thats okay the French Quarter is like that.
The food was very much on point. My wife ordered a dish for us to share i didnt think would sound good, it had corn and poached eggs as well as fried oysters over toast. It was amazing! The oysters were delicious. The drinks were good, not too sweet. The server looked tired, but was quite friendly and attentive despite being obviously busy. In fact, every member of waitstaff greeted us and smiled when we saw them. The prices were reasonable and the portions were generous. I will come here again next time Im in town. I came in without much of an appetite as im not a breakfast person (grew up rarely getting any) but im glad to say i left full and happy.
Robert Ayala
Our 1st choice was closed, so we walked down to the French Market and remembered that French Toast was around the corner. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is beyond description. I will try all three of the French toast options before we return home.
Shreelesh Gharat (Shree)
French toast lives up to its name! Great crepes, and must have French Toasts.....
Their menu options are just the right number, not too much not too less! And the serving amount is adequate for a sumptuous brunch! The place speaks a cute French ambience, with an excellent service!!! I might go there tomorrow to try the choux!
Khadijah M
Nice atmosphere, was able to get on the waitlist so we were quickly seated when we arrived! The restaurant is in the French quarter so don’t eat too much in case you want to walk around after.
I got the chocolate strawberry crepe and the bacon, eggs, biscuit and potatoes. It was my first time having crepes so I didn’t know what to expect, but I did not enjoy the crepe. The chocolate n strawberries were “wet” so it made the crepe soggy, same for my friend who ordered a savory one.
Overall place was good n the staff were friendly and it was quick.
Jolie Everett
environment, alcohol, food, and service was phenomenal. very cost friendly for delicious food. ive gone two years in a row for my birthday and have yet to be disappointed.
Dylan Bardell
A Must try, delicious and filling. The Steak & Egg is a Go🎭 …
Helena Andújar
I went on a Friday, around 9am, and it was busy. Sat at the counter. I ordered an omelette with fine herbs and gruyere with toast and Lyonnaise potatoes. The omelette had no discernible flavor, the toast was ok, the potatoes were soggy and sweet. I had such expectations for this place, I made it my first breakfast in NOLA. I felt disappointed.
Tom Wilkinson
Had a wonderful breakfast there this morning at the French Quarter location. My wife had an omelette with ham, mushrooms and cheddar. I had an omelette with bacon, spinach and Gruyère. They were kind enough to let me have the bacon on the side rather than in the omelette. We both got fruit cup sides. They said we’d get a slice of toast which was an enormous piece of their homemade bread. It was served with a fruit purée they made, which we drizzled over our toast. It was wonderful! Everything. The fruit side was fresh and delightful. Our waitress, Megan (Monday am Jan 23), was amazing. If we even looked like we were looking for something she was right there to assist. The coffee was refilled quickly and kept hot. A perfect breakfast on our last day in the French Quarter.
SchmoMofo539
Delicious! Great service and great food. I had the French toast and my wife had the chicken and waffles. They were both wonderful. You could tell everything was prepared with real ingredients and it made a real difference.
Raymond Sweet
I mean the waitress really took care of us. The place is COVID friendly and they try to keep their rules. However, some customers just do whatever. They also have barriers between booths. The staff on the surface looks diverse. Could use more front of house diversity. I mean I like it here. So, why 3 stars. The food is average. The biscuit is good. Like there's nothing really new or unique on their menu. And while it tastes good it can be a repeater for locals, but I think tourists should find another place. But for a COVID restricted place this is the best in the city.
According2teau
Small wait time, but you will receive a text message when your table is ready. The restaurant is cozy, but the staff is very big on personality and all so very nice. The atmosphere was great, amazingly well lit space, the music was awesome and everything had a nice flow. The food was delicious the drink wasn't bad and you didn't mind just sitting there and enjoying your food and company. Even the other customers around were pleasant and happy. Would recommend you come here for breakfast because you will leave in a even better mood than when you walked in.
Larry Grischow
I don't rate often but have to share: best breakfast we have had in NOLA. Food was fantastic and service even better.
Patty Clouden
Young male waited on us- knowledgeable, interacted and gave recommendations based on experience. Food was perfect. Prices were so much less than I anticipated. 1st and best experience during my visit in NOLA.
Michael Woody
Holy moly, this place has THE breakfast! The staff is sweet and super friendly. Never had to ask for anything. Thank you ladies.
Atmosphere was as good as the food.
Coffee is NOLA dark roast from PJ's. Cappuccino with a shot was excellent.
This crepe was amazing. I wanted to order everything on the menu. Chicken and waffles looked delicious. Definitely coming back here again. ❤️
Ron Valentin
We are staying at Hotel Provincial and my wife said, I want to go to French Toast restaurant and to our surprise it is part of the hotel so here we are. I ordered the poached eggs with oyster toast, amazing, and my wife got the French Toast. It was outstanding. Next time in New Orleans this is where we are staying. Natalie took good care of us and went over and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Thank you and see you soon.
Kristin
Got a margarita & chicken & waffles. All of it was delicious.
Misti G
Hands down the best french toast I have ever had. If you come to the French Quarter, this is a MUST! Super friendly and fast service. I simply could not have been more pleased! My husbands omelette was also amazing! Thanks Johnny for your awesome service!
Casey Thomas
Fantastic breakfast! Really enjoyed the Chorizo Biscuits and Gravy, scrambled eggs, grits, and King Cake French Toast. King Cake French Toast is not a meanie item you can get anywhere and they did it well. Biscuits and gravy came with a creole twist; just what you need in the French Quarter.
Service was great. Kept the coffee coming, made the bacon crispy upon request, and chatted with us as we sat at the bar top.
John Kwasna
Breakfast was awesome and very fresh. Only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated inside. There was no wait if we wished to be seated outside.
Amy Alleyne
Kind service and great food! We ordered the fried oyster toast and added a catfish and the ham, mushroom, and gruyere crepe. Our server was Meghan and she was very kind and attentive. Recommend for sure (reserve a spot on the website to save wait time)!
Aric Snyder
Amazing food! Check out the French toast if you have a sweet tooth! Hands down the best French toast I've ever had.
Ronda Churchill
Reasonable prices and super fast. Delicious food! My omelette was so good. Highly recommend grits and add cheese. 😋 …
Rick O
Great breakfast love this place, the food was the best and where to start. The #skivers! Aka puffy pancakes melt in your mouth soo soft. My wife enjoyed the chicken and waffles great pick. I had the crepe very good with coffee. The atmosphere was excellent we got here around 8ish maybe about a 10mins wait. Service was very friendly, there's some light music playing in the background. A must breakfast
Angela Chung
Breakfast was lovely. The coconut stuffed French toast was creative and delicious. One of my favorite restaurants during our stay.
Daniel Hawkins
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. Must stop if you want some great food with just the right flavors. Don’t miss out if you are in the area.
M Fisher
Very bright with natural light.
So cool the way you can go out back door and be in a parking lot and access other businesses and blocks. Sneaky 😎
Wendy Meuret
Second visit here and will return next visit also! Staff is pleasant and attentive, venue is historic and charming. Great place for a breakfast before leaving town. Go big or choose ala carte. Coffee is strong but not bitter. Good choices for kids menu. Weather permitting, sit outside for a great immersive experience. Local people are as colorful as a Mardi Gras King Cake. A wonderful breakfast, king cake french toast with coffee. The staff was great, cute, very busy place.
Pat Myers
Great place for breakfast! Crepes, omelets, and French toast. Actually they have almost all types of breakfast. We went here a few times: the second item I had was French toast. Man it was really good! And the coffee flows freely here. I'd recommend!
Candice
This place is one of my new found favorites! The french toast meals there are AMAZING! I’ve never had such big slices before, i am telling you now that it will fill you up. The coffee as well as the Avo and egg on toast was to die for and the service is good, right now you just call in and “make a reservation” and they’re pretty good with letting you know how long you’ll be waiting (take a walk around the French Market). I gave them 3 stars though because they will charge you for ANYTHING extra. I asked for some mayonnaise for my Avocado and she charged me almost a dollar extra :/ - other than that I totally recommend stopping by! Its also a little bit opposite Café Du Monde.
Leslie Langford
Really the best breakfast we've ever had. We decided last minute to check it out and it was absolutely worth it! We loved everything. The service was fabulous. The food was delicious. Just go... you can thank me later ;)
Angela Montgomery
We loved our brunch. I ate a savory crepe and my boyfriend ate a sweet crepe. Both were delicious. We met Justine at a local park and she recommended we stop in, glad we did!
Scott Vohar
Sooo good we actually ate breakfast here twice on our 4 day trip to NOLA. Get the French toast and/or chicken and waffles.
Tim C
Well who would not want to eat at a restaurant named after a famous New Orleans dish- Pain Perdu? Let me begin by saying the building and décor are beautiful old French New Orleans. The space felt very pleasing, sunny, and inviting. The staff..... well bless their hearts, they seemed lost in the headlights. The food was sub-par for New Orleans where you better be good buddy or adios. So we both started with plain jane lattes which we both found to be quite good. I ask the waitress some specifics about our delicious lattes and her response was....." it comes from a machine over there". Well I delved a little deeper and she simply was lost in the headlights again. Anyway we both had savory crepes- me Florentine and my spouse Mushroom, onion, peppers, spinach, and chevre. Now I have eaten my fair share of crepes in the past (Defunct Petunias in the Quarter served divine, light crepes) and these things were somewhere between an omelet and a crepe and not really to my liking. I must say the ingredients of the crepe themselves were somewhat complex and tasty. It was like a different taste sensation with each bite. The side dish of fruit was good and the sunny side eggs came out as I ordered. My spouse had over easy eggs and he did not experience horrific gastritis as did I a few hours after leaving the Quarter, so I suspect that my eggs were just a bit too under cooked. Another thing I liked about French Toast was that they brought out a carafe of iced water which reminded me of Paris as did the décor to some extent. So to summarize: the décor is lovely, the staff is rather inexperienced, the food was overall average, and the bill was mid-range.

The butter and sugar crepes were everything!! The French toast with coconut cream was excellent!
Cherie Leist
Just had a wonderful NOLA breakfast at Toast! We will be back to try it again as there are numerous awesome dishes on the menu. Friendly servers and awesome people willing to share a little time with you. Chicken and waffles were awesome as well as a hell of a bloody Maria. Sausage biscuit with gravy was yummy!! I do suggest adding your name to the wait list before you arrive.
Lana AYYAD
Best breakfast in town. We shared the crepe Florentine and tried the Ableskives. We were impressed! Oh and the lattes are perfect!
Tabitha Siegfried
The food was good and filling. The waiters were nice. I love the fact that you can get on the waitlist via an app. However, the waiter took a long time before coming to ask for our order. Then it took a long time for our food to come out, apparently there was a problem with the waffle maker. Overall good experience though!
Melissa Knight
If you are looking for a fun breakfast atmosphere, check out French Toast. We arrived around 9am and got seated right away, but shortly after a line began to form. There was a nice view of the park from our outside table. The crepe was very large. The bacon was thick, smoked, and perfectly cooked. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. The cheddar biscuit made the sandwich. They have a great menu to choose from.
Michael Cook
A fantastic breakfast spot in Nola. My girlfriend and I regularly dine when in when we are in town .
The service the quality of the food and the portion sizes are all great .
Adrienne Trammell-Love
Kind people with DELICIOUS food!! The coconut stuffed French Toast is amazing! Definitely 5 stars!
running funk
Unexpectedly one of the better and most affordable meals for 5 adults I’ve had in the past week. Travelling for a day trip to NO, decided to give this place a whirl. Breakfast, ratatouille omelette, crepe, french toast and a chicken sandwich all got good reviews from the family, with the one caveat that the chicken sandwich is quite small, like…. It fits on a single biscuit. Other than that, five meals and drinks in a tourist location for 76 bucks including tip??? I’ll take it.
Joshua King
We were recommended this place by a local and it didn't disappoint. Try the King Cake french toast, it's totally worth the trip!
Brittany Bowers
Fantastic service!! Visited twice for brunch in my 4 day trip to NOLA. I ordered the crepes, eggs, bacon, and toast. My husband ordered the French toast with a side of chicken and cheese grits. ALL WERE AMAZING!! We ordered the same thing both times we went; we didn't want anything else. Shout outs to Terry and Bernice. Amazing ladies being so friendly sharing great vibes.
John Sanders
Excellent savory crepe!!! Spinach, ham, gruyere cheese and some excellent white sauce I can't remember the name of... grits were really good also!!!
Angie
Great restaurant for breakfast! Staff very friendly and service great. The French toast, omelettes, and crepes are delicious! If you have to wait a little bit for a table- wait, it's worth it.
Katherine Melnyk
“French Toast” is a nice place for breakfast&brunch. Before coming to the restaurant I decided to read a couple reviews, so I ordered Aebelskivers with a caramel sauce and Crepes with ham, mushroom & gruyere. Everything was very tasty, and I definitely recommend to come to this restaurant and taste Aebelskivers with different sauces.
Monica Brady
5 stars is not enough for French Toast! Strictly adhering to COVID guidelines, food is delicious, place is clean, music is good...there's nothing not to love.
Chelsi Womack
One of my favorite places for breakfast. I always get the Catfish & grits without the eggs that come with it. It's filling enough without them. The Terragon Aioli is to die for!
Stanislava Khachianidi
We sat at the bar! The bartender Lucie was very helpful since we have never been before. Per her recommendation, we ordered Coconut French Toast and Oyster Toast... OMG... the taste was indescribable. Must go if you are looking for a brunch place!
Kathy Stith
One of thee best Belgian waffles I've ever had! Good service and free Mimosas!
Cheri Phillips (UniqueCherie)
We went to this restaurant for the first time this morning for breakfast. My daughter and I were both disappointed. I had French Toast with berries and bacon. My daughter had the King Cake French Toast wirh bacon and we both had coffee. The coffee was overly strong and bitter tasting. Neither of us drank ours. My strawberries were fine, but the blueberries were really sour. The bacon was quite good and the French Toast was just OK. Our service was just fine. This restaurant is right next to our hotel, but with so many choices for breakfast, we probably won't go back.
Amy Green
Can I just tell you this place is fabulous!! Nothing is going to dish up a better toast! I’m so impressed. Clean and friendly. Small perfect menu!!!
Sunshine Martinez
Loved it. The food was amazing. Best frech toast I have ever had. Crispy outside and nice and soft in the middle
Jason Gray
Our favorite breakfast during our stay in the French Quarter! Get there early or make reservations as we missed our first attempt to eat here due to wait. Glad we returned on day 2 early! Chicken and Waffles were just what the doctor ordered after a long night out!
Lorraine Butcher
Great food. We were headed to a tour and told our waiter we were in a hurry. Food and check both came fast. Chicken and waffles and bacon egg and cheese biscuit were so good.
Gloria Jacob
Their food was amazing! I would highly recommend this place. My favorite was their toasts.
M W
Sweet location. Lovely atmosphere. Great vibe knowing river nearby. Great vibe when one hears train pass amidst hustle/bustle of a great river city. OH! And really good breakfast fare!
Jean Lee
Sitting on street guarded from direct sun, listening to music from down the block, eating delicious hangar steak and eggs, generous portion, good service. Good walking area.
Amado Hernandez
Yup good breakfast / brunch. Small but comfortable. Out door dinning. Great service. Cajun french toast. . Coffee. Lemon crepe. Mimosa. Omelette and relaxing family time. Great place right in the French Quarter. 🇺🇸❤️🥘🍸🍋 …
Frederick II
Spectacular service and delicious food. The pineapple French Toast was the size of my head! A must try for brunch.
Dani Young
Breakfast was outstanding! Everything was cooked perfectly.
Very clean and organized place. Staff was nice!
Brynn Pembroke
Friendly staff and an awesome menu. Had to go with a savory crepe this time but hope to be back for the French toast
Nate Sierer
Breakfast and service were awesome. Next time we are in NOLA we will be back!
Quintin Stewart
The food here is amazing, we tried other spots & decided to return here. The hospitality is great and you will get your money’s worth.
Edgardo Sanchez
Small in name but big in taste!
The French Toast far exceeded my expectations and I've eaten French toast in France! Well worth the walk and wait to eat eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes and even chicken at this place. Yes!... even the chicken was mouthwatering delicious!
Andres D.
This place! OMG! The portions are huge. The food is delicious, full of flavor. I will come back tomorrow again
Jon Juan
Cute little spot pumping out some serious breakfast. Amazing stuffed French toast. Great coffee. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!!
Hannah Hayden
We walked into this place after passing by. It was busy and we were quickly seated, and despite the fun chaos, the staff really had their flow and things ran smoothly. I had the fried chicken biscuit, which I would not recommend - it was very dry and not appetizing. My husband really enjoyed his food and we shared a banana Nutella crepe, which was tasty, but I’ve had better crepes (some of the parts were overdone and too crispy). This is not a bad place to go, but with all the options NOLA has to offer, I would check those out first.
Jason Bastian
A bit of a wait, so make sure to join the online wait list.
The food was outstanding, the chicken and waffles are a must have.
Marc Gullick
Waited 30mins,slow service made to wait by the bins, chicken n waffles were good had coconut stuffed French toast looked great very sickly
Kim Bomar
Best French Toast, made with Briosh bread. And fresh fruit. Great coffee.
David
In a word. Fantastic always. Here now and MEGHAN, BEST SERVER SO FAR and I come every chance I get. You won't regret it.
Awesome.... Ate here again this morning. Our Waitress Nicola was Fantastic! Always great people here. I'd eat here every morning if I could.
The bread they use for their French toast is divine! Melts in your mouth. Our waiter Q was magnificent. I highly recommend!
Cristal C
The staff was nice. the chicken & waffles (chicken was a little dry), the king French toast was not my favorite, did not like the texture. My boyfriend has the chiiclen biscuit and he liked it. We also had the potatoes and they were the best part!
Christina Henry
Great place for brunch, it's small but there's also outdoor dining available! All the food was good. I love potatoes and these did not disappoint, they were sautéed in onions,, butter,, and parsley to perfection. Our waiter said the potatoes were his favorite side but he liked to add a little salt. French toast was nice and fluffy but they do have a crust but not too hard and the chicken was good but fried a little hard. Service was Great!
Jayson Patrick
I enjoyed this place - food was good (as far as American food standards go 😉).
First day I waited over 1 hour (including waiting for a table). Next day (raining) I waited 5 min for food.
Everyone gets the French toast; you can’t miss it. I had the avo and sunny egg and crepes.
Wayne Pitts
Breakfast was amazing, the toast is to die for! Omelettes are great, homemade biscuits, yummy! And the service is impeccable!
J MAC
Nice service. Food was good.
Pauline Leroux
Delicious brunch and very kind staff ! Highly recommend
Nicholas Zolnerowich
The food here was really good. Portions are massive and very reasonably priced. The Florentine crepes were honestly amazing and just stuffed with prosciutto. The coconut cream french toast was also really good and we really liked the variety of toppings. However, the server (who was initially very friendly) was rushing us out the door less than half an hour after we sat down. She dropped the check before we were halfway done with our food and then hovered over the table until we payed and left. Even if they had been super busy it would have been rude, but this was 9am and the place was only 75% full. So if you're looking for a relaxed breakfast where you can take your time, maybe go someplace else. Still, the food was great and I'd definitely recommend this place for breakfast.
Ashley King
One of the best restaurants I visited during my stay. The atmosphere was awesome. The service was amazing. And the food. Beyond words. The best coffee I've ever had I wish I could get that recipe! 😂 …
Tigger Texas1
So We went as a recommendation from the lady at front desk. Husband had chicken biscuit and LYonnasie potatoes I had the King Cake French toast that is stuffed OMG!!!!. Delicious, but you need to have a day of walking planned lol
Stacie muldoon
Excellent food and great service we can’t wait to go again
Arlene Nimtz
Grits, bacon, eggs, and biscuit was great. Chicken biscuit was also tasty...
Miranda D
Good overall, definitely add your name on the waitlist to avoid waiting in the sun (was able to wait at home and was seated within 45 minutes of putting my name in the list). Sat down and had to ask our server to the clean the table as there was crumbs leftover from previous guests.
I got the Coconut Cream French toast with a side of eggs & bacon. French toast was delicious and my portion came out to around $20. Boyfriends meal wasn’t as good. He got the Hanger Steak with cheddar scrambled eggs. Asked for medium and got medium well so meat was tougher & less juicy than desired. Cheddar on the eggs was cold so not the best. He also got the plain berry French Toast which was good. Steak, Cheddar add on and French toast came out to ~ $28
Moral of the story 1) put your name on the waitlist 2)Stick to the French toast (it’s in the name lol)
Mashawna Lewis
The food is WONDERFUL!!!!! Came down all the way from Texas to watch Dal defeat NO. Will definitely be back here again.
Lisha Thomison
Best breakfast of our trip to New Orleans. Yummmm!!!
Camille Knox
Go there when you visit NOLA. I'd choose this place over Ruby Slipper. Ruby has those French toast bites and they're good good however French Toast has the best potatoes, and chicken and Waffles. The gitss with cheese were great. Service was quick and the hostess was awesome!
Kristin Knies
We entered the restaurant and they ignored us for quite awhile. We were beginning to think we were invisible. We didn’t need to be seated right away, but an acknowledgement would be nice. We sat outside, and I ordered their French toast, it was almost cake like, , super thick, and dry. I didn’t like it. We also ordered the ableskivers, which I thought were pretty good, but seeing as the restaurant is called TOAST, I thought for sure their French toast had to be awesome!
I would have liked a chewier bread, for the French toast. My kids had their crepes and they thought they were good.
John Heffernan
The food, service an ambiance are great! A must if visiting New Orleans. Definitely get the grits
Rich Thompson
Walking down French market district.
And fell into this little jem!! French Toast big as Texas !! Order the fruit French toast and the potatoes great place !!
Laurie Garcia
Best grits I've ever had!!! Crepe with strawberries and chocolate was also delicious.
Johnathan Medley
Best chicken in waffles I've ever had. Recommended
Ginina Vitucci
Arrived at 9am on a Saturday in November and waited 35 minutes to be seated. This place is definitely busy so get there early. We each had a crepe. The ham and mushroom was better than the herb option, but neither were amazing. The aebleskivers (hollow pancake balls) were yummy and fun! Definitely order some of those.
Aggy Rebel
Excellent food, good prices, and awesome staff. Huge portions cooked perfectly. Never had to wait for anything.
Stephany C
Loved it, speedy service even when it’s busy.
Wendie Hardaker
A tasty spot for breakfast. Delicious French toast. Bottles coffee. Friendly staff.
Natalia Arandia
Delicious breakfast! Portions are big so order accordingly. I got the mushroom crepes and they were amazing, the French toast and berries were so delicious, airy, sweet and soft. Great place with great music and great customer service.
Paul Brockschmidt
Great food, that is well priced and arrives in a timely manner. I really enjoyed the french toast with berries and the avocado toast.
Hippie Pigeon
Awesome breakfast place. Best French toast I've ever had
Debbie Duvall
Wonderful food. Great service!
Dana S
One of many excellent places to have breakfast while staying in the French Quarter. Great bacon, and the king cake french toast is easily shared by two.
Silver Stones
AWESOME FOOD .The first day in NOLA we were told the wait was an hour.so the next mort we wet by 8.30 am and immediately got seating . The food was just Amazing. We ordered french toast, savory and sweet crepes. The French toast was by far the best we have ever had. Took it to a whole new level. Don't miss this. The portions are very large. Recommend Ordering 2 items and sharing between 2 people so you get to taste more and can actually eat.
Garett Granado
One of the greatest breakfast places in the United States. The food is authentic and the prices are unbeatable. I went twice and did not regret any of the delicious calories. The staff is joyful and precise. The wait is long, but the virtue of patience pays off! Please do not go to the French quarter without eating here. You will regret it. Thank you French Toast, with love from Anchorage Alaska.
Courtney Henry
Had a cured salmon Toast, fruit side & Pomegranate Spritz. Amazing vibe!
Tri-R Fabrication
Probably one of the best breakfast joints we’ve ever been to.
Kay K
This is the best breakfast I have had in a very, very long time. Got the avocado toast with over easy eggs and my husband got the coconut creme french toast with macadamia nuts and pineapple. Both were incredible. Also tried their lyonnaise potatoes which are specially good with hot sauce. Can't wait to go back
Shirley A. Schwaeble-Ruiz
Besides the over hour wait the food was worth it. Do not order biscuits dense and flavorless
Bastien Potereau
Delicious ! I took the pineapple and coconut french toast and I recommand it !
Cindy Mahaney
Good place in the French Quarter for a great breakfast. Shared this stuffed french toast with my husband. Stuffed with a cinnamon cream cheese filling for Mardi Gras.
Mike D
Always a busy place, but food and service are always top notch. Love their grits!
Risa Barwick
This is a small cute location. The service was phenomenal and so was the food! I would eat there every morning if i could!
Angie Gibson
Great food, reasonable prices for French Quarter. Everyone was very nice.
Ryan Guerdon
Our breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend.

We got the king cake French toast filled with cinnamon cream cheese. It was divine!! 🤤 …
demetra ransom
The BEST breakfast of my LIFE!!
D.S. Randol
I looooved that coconut pineapple french toast, I come to NoLa once a year for it!!!!
Renee Hoyt
Very tasty breakfast and coffee. Meghan took such good care of us, hard working and so friendly. Four of us in the party and we liked it so much we went back on our second day visiting New Orleans.
Miguel de Olaso
Really good fried chicken and waffles. The only issue is that the portions are super small for the price.
Janna Glaze
The food is great and the service was pretty good too!
John Gamble
Wait was 1 hour. Food was okay. The fried chicken was mostly skin and over cooked. Biscuit was pretty hard but not too bad. French toast and pancake balls were good.
Bill S
The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because of the wait...it was Final Four weekend! The food was on point! French toast, bacon, potatoes all a hit! The wife is super picky...melted butter and a great waffle won her over!
Lizzie A
The King Cake french toast is like no other! we ordered food to go but even for those 5 minutes we were waiting the staff was delightful!!!! Super kind and courteous.
Virgie B
This place is great!! The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly. I came here several times during my vacation. Delicious omelettes, waffles, French toast and the Ratatouille is amazing! I will be coming here again during my next visit.
Bill
Really good food and great service. They checked our vaccination cards on the way in and made sure we did not run out of coffee. The omelette with fine herbs and gruyere was perfect, the fried oyster toast was ridiculous and delicious, and the aebelskivers are not to be missed.
Hannes Xhen
Had to wait some time, were then sat to the bar which was surprisingly uncomfortable. Food was nice, coffee tasted little bit odd. Service was okay. Kitchen looked a bit dirty as far as i could tell through the window. Vegetarian options where little
fallon fernandes
AMAZING breakfast! Stopped by 3 times during a short stay in NOLA. Enjoyed the delicious cured salmon, aebelskivers (puffed pancakes that are a must to try!), and drinks (bloody maria & brandy milk punch). Highly recommend to others!
lucas hansen
Delicious. Food was great service was kinda slow for the amount of folks in there.

This place is so yummy. I ordered the coconut French toast and my son ordered a savory crepe . We shared half and half and were so delighted. Everyone loved their food. This place is a must. Make sure and check in on Yelp to get a place in line.
CoCo
Delicious! They have some classic southern favorites and some new twists on old favorites. I’m a classic girl, an I opted for their traditional southern breakfast and I was completely satisfied with everything!
If you plan to visit on a weekend morning, be prepared for a wait. It’s located near tons of other shops and just a short walk down from the river, so you’ll have plenty to see and do while waiting.
The service was good and I didn’t feel rushed, even though they were very busy and had many people waiting. Very relaxed atmosphere, with wonderful menu options.
Next time I’m in Nola, I’ll be sure to come back for more deliciousness!
KW Music
Their bacon was really good. The rest of the food was just ordinary. I had waffles and the chicken biscuit. Service was good.
Joseph Chiappetta
Soooo good! Everyone we asked recommended here and they were spot on. The biscuits, bacon, homemade jam, and just about everything else is rave-worthy. We actually ended up going back twice and it was super sweet that the staff remembered us - cheers to them! Everything was super clean and sanitation appeared to be a top priority. One Tip: they ask that you wear your mask at the table while you're ordering which we did and encourage others to do the same. The Bloody Mary looked awesome and I hope to try it next time!
Zay Garrick
The best breakfast place I think I’ve ever been too! I got the French Toast plate and Pancake Balls with berry jam, super delicious not too sweet but super flavorful! Our server was Ally and she was amazing!!
Martanda Blancard
Good portions, tasty options! Outside seating. Satisfaction guaranteed! :)
Carroll Shroyer
Food and service were fantastic. The French toast really did live up to its reputation.
Pam Wilbanks
I needed to host a Brides Breakfast for 20 on a Saturday Morning.
After many calls and declines I called French Toast on Decatur St and spoke With Melissa explained my situation and within a second she said sure. She explained that she couldn't reserve but if we were there at 8 am she would seat us. Just email her Friday before and confirm we were coming she would be ready.
And was she ever!!! Melissa and her server was so accommodating to every request was made with a wonderful attitude. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Melissa you and your staff were wonderful.... I would highly recommend!!!
budha upt
If you need a serious French toast fix this is definitely your place!
Bread variety great
Gruyere omelet great
Avocado toast great
Been here several times and they never let me down.
Grits and bacon great
I wish I took a picture but the food was so good I couldn't wait.

Excellent food great service
Tareq Al-Salem
It was a great place to have your breakfast, The crew was friendly and hospitable, the food was authentic and tasty, next time when we visit New Orleans definitely will go again
Lauren Roberts
The most delicious chicken and waffles I have ever had, truly. And I have had a lot of chicken and waffles. Everyone loved their food as well. Staff was very friendly, especially our waitress Megan, she was exceptional. Definitely will be back.
Austin Curran
Was recommended here by a local and glad we stopped by, good was delicious
Juan Naranjo
Meh all around. The omelette was dry, the lemon dipping sauce for the aebelskivers was overpowering, the service mediocre. To make things worse a fight broke out among the homeless across the street. Would definitely not recommend eating on the sidewalk.
Chris Carpenter
Stayed at the Hotel Provincial and had breakfast 4 times over the week stay. The menu left many options to have variety over the week. The latte was quite good as well.
Glenda Vallejo
Cool little breakfast spot and yummy chicken and waffles!
SST Surveillance
Best french toast ever, great breakfast place
Jen Rafuse
Really tasty, cute little spot for brunch. Stopped by on the early afternoon, we got some delicious grits and a biscuit with my classic breakfast and a savory crepe with bacon and onions. Highly recommend.
Nicole Pratt
The food was good which it could have been better but otherwise the restaurant was very small
Valli Funk
I destroyed that waffle. The waffles are so good, perfectly eggy and crispy and the butter melts into it and the syrup that tops it also has a delicious and unique flavor!
Bill Anderson
The bacon/spinach/gruyere omelette was as you'd expect, tasty but not mind-blowing (could have used more gruyere).
The breakfast potatoes were also tasty, but barely luke-warm and had clearly not been cooked to order.
The biggest dropped ball was in fact the TOAST. First of all, it was totally room temperature, not even a hint of warmth or freshly-toastedness. You could clearly see the large bowl of pre-made and then left-to-sit and get cold bowl of toast sitting in the service counter. Also it was hard as a rock. Normally I wouldn't nit-pick my toast ala Gordon Ramsay, but if you're gonna call your restaurant TOAST then have some at least semi-okay moderately warm toast.
Brian Wilde
Food was amazing!
Horrible customer service,
Michelle was extremely rude and had a bad attitude. If we weren't starving, we definitely would've gone somewhere else!
I really don't like to complain but if the owners are reading this, you should consider finding an employee that better represents what's produced in your kitchen. Another table near us was talking about her as well... Just want you to aware.
Kendall Phillips
Here's a place that's soo good. I really enjoyed the food and service. This is the French Toast
Pam Beightel
The french toast restaurant on the strip was unique. The hostess and the waiter were very friendly and very knowledgeable. The food at this restaurant is out of this world.
Michael Paley
Food was absolutely delicious! IThe French toast was the size of a quarter of a cake. I would have been happier, except I couldn't stop eating and my stomach is now too full!
Shanshan weng
Great place great food great mimosas! Gruyère is especially good!
Lisa M. spencer
A cute place with a friendly, laid back wait staff. Sadly for me, the berry french toast was very dry and too dark - almost burnt. The Berries consisted of around 10 blueberries. My husband had the fried chicken biscuit which he said was very good. Perhaps an off day? We will try some where else tomorrow.
Adam Billingsley
Fantastic food, atmosphere and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. You will not be dissatisfied with this selection. Anything you order here will not be a mistake.
Paula Lee
Absolutely the best breakfast we have ever had!!! Everything was perfect! The service was amazing and the atmosphere is great. Very cute little NOLA spot! We can't wait to go back. You know it's good when weeks later you can't stop talking about it!
Natalie Isdell
There are not words in the English language to explain the exquisite mind blowing taste bud rocking French Toast with fresh berries.
Fantastic atmosphere, super nice wait staff and food quality is out of this world!!!!
moose kustra
The food was great and the staff were great. I will be back again
Tabitha Davis
This is my favorite breakfast spot in the French Quarter! The omelettes, french toast, waffles, lyonnaise potatoes, and crepes are excellent! My friend and I normally share a plate and we order an extra side. It always leaves us full! Also, when you order coffee your server will continue to refill your coffee. The service and staff are excellent!
Brian Bergström
Going to say that this review is for the food, not the fact that the waitress broke the screen protector on my phone when she accidentally smashed it with the water carafe. Otherwise, service was just ok.
I had the chicken and waffles, and it did not disappoint, originally I was going to get Crêpes, but at the last minute changed my mind due to the cayenne butter. It was really nice being able to amp up the flavour of the dish by using more decadent butter and cayenne. Most restaurants do not season food enough, so putting the guest in control was awesome. The potatoes were pretty awesome as well.
Jessy Amane
Really great breakfast spot with an absolutely delicious coconut cream french toast. Awesome coffee too.
Demi del Valle
I’ve been here before, and the food and service are always incredible. HOWEVER I recently ordered, and immediately after I placed my order, it started STORMING. I’m a nervous driver, especially in the rain, so I called and canceled (which was so disappointing). Anyway, the staff was SOOO accommodating; refunding my money and cancelling the order so quickly. All because of rain. I felt terrible for this. But was amazed by the Patience and help of the staff!!
Erasmo Casiano
Do not sleep on the Fried Oyster Breakfast! Damn.
A great way to start the day with a good meal in a cool environment in the French Quarter.
Shoba Mallik
Great brunch menu. We have crepes, king cake french toast and coffee. Food and service was great. Totally worth the wait time.
Brianna Marton
The food was so amazingly good that when it arrived I ate so fast that my camera didn't have enough time to take a picture of it! But I had the French Toast with berries! It was so thick! And the berries were so fresh!
Charles Jacobs
Pretty amazing food. I wanted a light meal and chose the avocado-sunny side up egg- "Toast" with an Irish coffee, LOVED IT ALL!! Awesome service too💯✔ …
Callie O
Fabulous breakfast! The food was devious and the service was great. So glad that we stopped here to eat. Pineapple coconut cream cheese stuffed French toast was the best!
Gavin Worth
Served quickly despite attending during peak time, less than 5 minutes wait. Great food - huge portions and quick service!
Justin Shaw
Nice vibes. Kind of cold inside on a chilly day. Great for brunch. Central location in the Quarter. Easy going place. Didn't have a wait on Friday afternoon. French toast king cake was amazing! So pretty! It makes your eyes light up. Huge portions though. Might want to share.
Silvia M
I love this place! Great food, good vibes and amazing playlist! 😍🙏🏻✨ …
NKY Beekeeper
Crepe and fruit were delicious! A nice outside table in the French Quarter!
Phillip McCartha
Excellent food. We had an omelet and french toast wounderful. Sat outside very good time.
Mesha B
Absolutely delicious! We were on weekend getaway decided to stop in. The host and staff were prompt and kind. I would definitely recommend French toast to others!
Linda Niezabitowski
Bacon could have been a little crispier but other than that everything was outstanding the stuffed French toast is about 4 inches high!
Dustin Smith
If I do nothing else when visiting NOLA, I absolutely must eat here. IT is always breakfast on the way out of town. I absolutely love it.
Sean Fitzgibbons
OMG so crazy good! I had the savory crepe with an egg on top and a side of potatoes amd every bite was flavorful and delicious. Service was super friendly and everyone made us feel welcome and taken care of. Bright, friendly, happy interior. Just...perfect!
Jay
Pancakes were good i didn’t get my avocado till after I finished my eggs and the avocado had a lot of dark spots anyway so it wasn’t fresh. Would I go back if I came back to New Orleans? Prob not
Rudy Dominguez
Very nice !!! Great service!! Great food !! Above and beyond!!! Daughter lost her nose ring (don't know how but she did) the waitress ask what you looking for, we told her so she crawled under the table and looked around for us!!! I said wow!!!
Jason Wild
Great simple breakfasts done right. The French toast with fruit was very good, the slices were thick and crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. The crepes were substantial and well made.
The only minor complaint I have is that for the French toast with fruit, the "fruit" was simply a handful of blueberries. Could have used more/a variety of berries.
Patrick Haus
Wife had the King Cake Toast... she loved it!
I had the fried oyster toast... WOW!... best breakfast ever! The chef is excellent, great flavor combos... inspired! 10/10 recommend
Iain Findlay
This is the only place to go for a rib sticking meal to start your day. Service is good, friendly, portions are big and food is great and priced right. Best grits in the FQ. Chicken and waffles are ridiculous.
Nicole King
Food was awesome. French toast and chicken and waffles great. Bacon nice and thick..periodt!😊....To top it off our waitress Shelley was the bomb. She was real attentive and kept our refills coming. …
Scott
Great breakfast! Try the Aebelskivers!
Xili Fernandez
Delicious doesn't make it justice! The fried chicken with waffles is from out of this world & the hibiscus mimosa will make you wonder why you've been having them with orange at all. Can't recommend it enough!
Rudy Ward
Very much worthy of being your weekly brunch spot. Megan was an angel and took care of us quite well. Recommended good smoke shop places in town that I was looking for. Thank you Megan!
RainJewell KickstandCompanions
Small place with a unique menu and a popular reputation. We waited quite a while to have their savory stuffed crepes, worth it! Our second time here and we'll be back next time we are in town.
Brett Garver
Busy but well worth the wait. Try the Kings cake French toast
Bethany Maxfield
Was staying at the hotel behind this restaurant and came here twice for breakfast on weekdays. Didn’t have to wait, and the service was pleasant. Never had an empty coffee cup. First day I had the ratatouille omelette which I enjoyed, it a friend had the chicken and waffles which were amazing. Second day we sat at the bar and I indulged I. The chicken and waffles. They are seriously some of the beat chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The chicken was juicy, hot and crispy and the waffles were light and delicate. The spicy butter it’s served with really ties it all together. I highly recommend this dish. It would also be a good appetizer for 4 people who just want a taste. The aebleskivers are fun and delicious. They’re like a softer pancakier beignet. I really enjoyed the lemon curd ones.

They didn't have a particularly large menu but the coconut cream infused French toast was the best.
Travis Thompson
I make this a regular stop when it's not too busy. It's super popular and not very big so it fills up fast, but its worth it. The crepes, omelettes, and various toast options are all excellent. The service is usually very friendly and now that the liquor license is cleared you can even get yourself a wake up cocktail. If you happen to be there on one of the days that they do breakfast tacos (or they might call them burritos...) for the special I absolutely recommend that you take them up on that offer.
Jason Hales
Very good pricing for the meals! My wife had the omelette with ratatouille while I had french toast king cake. My wife loves her meal and I enjoyed mine as well!
Stevie gonyon
Manager was awesome, server was great food was worth the over 2 hr wait; however the young lady that greeted us may have the job title of hostess was nothing like a hostess would be described. Unfortunate, the only reason for the 3 stars! Shoot out to the birthday girl!!
David Milton
Croque Madame is my new fave meal!!!!!!
Chef Charles
Great food and nice time but didn't like fruit flies everywhere would gave it 5 star but that really to much for me.
Patti Duke
The food was good per usual in New Orleans. What stood out most for my group was the attentive service we receive. Shelly was our server and she was so personable. We fully recommend! Enjoy!
Fred Seelig
I think we've eaten here three times now. It's great every time. Far better than most breakfast spots in NOLA.
Larissa Sá Stevens
They have homemade bred and biscuits. The prosciutto toast Is to die for.
The pancakes are round and fluffy.
My husband was even being annoying with so many compliments to the chicken waffle, he was in haven definitely 100% the wait
Tracy Capella
Came across this breakfast spot while out this morning immediately seated. The food was wonderful and neither my husband and I were able to finish our meal. Highly recommend. Also the staff was very helpful and nice.
Gabriela Todorova
The food was out of this world. Every single thing we had was prepared to perfection. So delicious and unique. I loved the flavor combinations. My favorite was the toast with bacon and mushroom.
Joseph K.
Pro tip: go on to their site and get on the waiting list so you aren't standing in line waiting forever to get a table. I took a pic of the French toast.. I was buzzing on the sugar for hours. Holy cow was that good. Plenty of other breakfast options too. Coffee was always kept hot. Probably the closet thing to a refined, old fashioned, soda fountain shop I've been in for some time. You'll definitely want to eat here once if you are in town on a visit.
James Yates
Great selection of food. Everything was delicious and the price is reasonable. You will not be disappointed. Call ahead for a time to be there as it is very.
Mary Catherine Nedbalski
Honestly the best breakfast i've had in a while. It was my first stop after landing from Chicago. The coffee was rich and the menu was more than affordable. I ended up getting two breakfast entres (hey, live a little ya know) which was way more than enough. The toasts are great and filling, the crepes are wonderful. Would 1000% come back
da31fox
French toast was yummy. Waffles not so much. They had music playing way too loud, so you couldn't carry on a conversation.
Antonio Williams
Food was delicious! No bad choices on the menu. They really strive for excellence concerning COVID-19 precautions. They clean tables and condiments often and properly. Really recommend this place. Also they get guests phone numbers just incase you need to be notified for possible exposure.
Jim Fisher
Best Breakfast! If I head back to New Orleans, I will not miss this spot! the Prosciutto Crapes was SUPER FANTASTIC!!
Helen Lindberg
We LOVED this place!! We had the fried oyster toast and coconut cream French toast. Both were awesome! And great coffee and super friendly service. Worth the wait!
Judy Strike
Quick, but good tasting breakfast! Friendly, helpful staff and located near Jackson Square and the French Market.
N G
Had two different savory crepes which were both delicious. Despite the fact that I am a big eater, neither of us could finish our meals suffice to say portion sizes are more than plenty.
Heather Walker
Friendly staff, great mimosas and variety of food. The BEST breakfast we had in New Orleans! The crepes were so full of flavor and filling! Highly recommend!
Bruce Cobaugh
Both the atmosphere and love the food a definite must stop
A M
Lovely place. I had the lemon and creme crepe and hibiscus tea. Very good. Great service.
Unique Snyder
Delicious!!! Even the toast feels like a full meal, I would recommend everything on the menu. Only downfall is no bottomless mimosas, but you can still order per glass.
Andrew Batzloff
Steak and eggs are incredible and coffee is great. Most reasonably priced place we have ate so far. The staff here is amazing as well super kind people
Kaz Okuda
Food was delicious, service was quick. It wasn't busy and we were seated immediately at the counter. The food was so much better than other restaurants in the area that I'm questioning the rating system and how others get 4.5* with mediocre or bad food. Huge portions too; I don't need to eat until tomorrow.
Barb Matthews
The King Cake French Toast and Coconut Cream Stuff French toast is to die for. It is worth the extra calories.
Brandon Hyatt
The stuffed king cake French toast was excellent. The Florentine crepe was pretty good

Scrumptious breakfast foods here close to being decadent..conveniently located right in the French Quarter by Joanie on the pony. Service was quick and friendly. Loved our waiter Justin!!!
Mariela Testa
If you come to NOLa, you must try the king cake French toast from this place, forget about the beignets from Cafe Du monde. Our breakfast today was everything and made me so happy.

Overpriced for the amount of food. Service was good.
Don't eat outside, it smells like urine.

My group went here twice during our trip to New Orleans because the food was so good. I had the breakfast sandwich on the first visit and the chicken sandwich the following time. Both were cooked to perfection and everything else we ordered was great as well. It does get pretty busy though so don't be surprised if you have to wait a little while to get a table.

Related to the other Toast restaurants, this comfy old school diner with a modern french New Orleans flavor will amaze you with delectible sweet crepes and stuffed french toast, savory sandwiches and omlettes and friendly staff that will make you feel welcome and delightfully filled up. THIS is what real New Orleans is all about.
Amy Nguyen
Delicious breakfast food!
Richard Anderson
Huge portions but standard prices for the French Quarter and downtown New Orleans. By far the best bang for your buck for breakfast.
