Reviews of Domenica
Mei Hoults (Mei Travels)
Best pizza in Nola. A nice soft and chewy, but crunchy brick over crust. Just like it should be! The clam pizza was my favorite but they’re all good. Pizza, wine and beer is half off during happy hour until 5pm including weekends! That’s a steal.
Jeremy was our server at the bar, loved his energy and the manager Bryan is very attentive and makes sure everyone is having a good experience and steps in to help when needed. We’ll definitely be back!

Great service and food to match.
We had the cheese and cured meats - fantastic
The clam pizza was superb
The prawns were delightful
The squid ink tagliatoni was great.
The ravioli was the only thing that missed the mark.
Cocktails were great and so was the ambience and service
Highly recommended.
Jerred Downs
Fantastic service! Pizza was amazingly soft yet still provided a crunch. Highly recommend the Smoked Pork. Price was about $20-$25ish a person minus drinks. Would love to come back again when in the area.
Stephen Warren
A delightful restaurant with very tasty food. They have a wonderful section of salami and cheese as well as many pastas and pizza. Also, the roasted cauliflower we had was a wonderful starter.
Gino Gisondo
Everything was awesome. Great server. Great food. Go here for Italian. We loved the pastas and will be back to try the pizza. Wish there were more dessert options.
Stephanie Ordes
We dine at Domenica every Christmas season! We love starting out at the bar and have a drink, while waiting for our table (I HIGHLY recommend the Tuscan red blend wine on the menu). The atmosphere is eclectic and pure class. The Lasagna here is TO DIE FOR! I am a huge lasagna connoisseur and this is the BEST I’ve had in the New Orleans area! It’s loaded with a a ton of meat and cheese! The green pasta adds a unique twist! Cheers to you and yours, whenever you dine in here!
Amanda Rios
It was our last dinner in Nola and we wanted to try something different and glad we did! The service -Craig and food was amazing! It is located inside the Waldorf Astoria/Roosevelt and we had an amazing dinner!

Our waitress was phenomenal!!! So attentive, friendly, with good recommendations. It’s located next to (inside) a beautiful hotel. Bathrooms were spotless. And most importantly, the food, the food was exquisite, especially brussel sprouts (I have a thing for brussel sprouts 😆). I highly recommend this place!
Cris Bee
Very lovely atmosphere, everyone that greeted us was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was fast and attentive. They accommodated us even though they were busy and we were a large party. The classic spritz was very good, and the food we got was delicious.
Mayur Sanghvi
One of the best italian place as its close to my house, inside the Roosevelt hotel, beautiful decor, cozy environment.
I Went during my happy hour as usual but was hungry so ordered many things from the menu
Started with beer and some appetizers which came out fast and main course which was truffle sauce past, pesto raviolli and pizza .
I think brian was my server he was on point.
I also think they should have more dessert options as even being there after 1 year they have the same old dessert menu was expecting a tiramisu atleast like other italian dessert.
Finished with frangelico and affogato.
The best time to go is during happy hour between 2-5 pm where pizzas, beer and wine by glass are 50% off.
Jermaine Tyner
Very nice atmosphere. Many menu items offer a small and large portion option. Small means small. The food came out really quick after ordering.
Marie Nilson
Overall we had a good experience at Domenica’s. Decor was nice but didn’t feel like there was much of an atmosphere (though we did go in “off season” when the restaurant was less crowded). The food was tasty. The meatballs over polenta were flavorful and very rich - the appetizer was plenty. The casesar salad with farm greens was our favorite dish. It was refreshing and light though I think there could have been a tad more dressing. The pizza was definitely delicious but didn’t necessarily fit our palate - very light sauce, creamy cheese and sweeter dough. It was good pizza, again just not our preference as far as pizza. Our waiter was good - friendly, attentive and helpful to answer our questions. Would recommend, just not my personal favorite.

Good ambiance with access to The Roosevelt. The Charteurtarie boards are the standouts for this place, IMO. Will try additional item when i return. Would be nice if the bar was bigger to support more seating. They have an area where they can do this but it looks like they cut cured meats there and it also looks like dead storage space. Not very appealing to have visible. Overall its decent but don't see this as a go to spot. Would give it a try if you're staying at The Roosevelt or want a good Charteurtarie board. 👍🏾

Walking distance from many hotels. Went for lunch on a Saturday. We were seated immediately. My friends loved the 4 cheese pizza and the truffle agnolotti. I had the rigatoni (pictured). I am still thinking about the rigatoni days later. I would definitely go back if ever in the area.
Trinity Loyd
My husband and I loved this restaurant! We got the chef’s choice meat and cheese boards and they were phenomenal! Also, the squid ink pasta is to die for! We loved our food, but even better than the food was the service. Cory went above and beyond and was one of the best servers I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back on our next trip to New Orleans! Ask for Cory when you go!
Danielle Levitt
Domenica is always good although reservations are definitely recommended. Can't beat the happy hour deal of 1/2 price pizza, wine, and cocktails from 3-5 pm (even on Sunday). The parking garage across the street (cheaper) or valet are the best parking options. Restaurant can be accessed from either side of The Roosevelt hotel.
Isabella Díaz
The restaurant had a great atmosphere and really good service! The personnel is very nice from the moment you walk in. The food was really good, we tried the rigatoni and a charcuterie board that included prosciutto, duck prosciutto and O'banon. I will definitely go back to this place.
Denica C IG TravelingHangry (TravelingHangry)
Food was excellent. Service was mediocre. We ordered pizza with prosciutto, and they forgot to put it on.. when addressed, the kitchen just put the prosciutto right on top without any cooking or warming to the pizza. My friend drink spilled because the table lost balance, and a new drink was never offered nor brought out without us asking for a new drink. Minimal service efforts is what resulted in my low score.
Sarah Langlinais
Food was great but service was a bit slow. We had clam pizza (really good & creamy), fried kale, roasted cauliflower with whipped feta, brussel sprouts & smoked pork pizza. I also enjoyed a dirty martini cocktail 🍸
Cy Beaux (Cybo)
We walked by Domenica the previous evening & immediately knew we would dine 🍽 there. Started with the Fried Tuscan Kale which was lite, crunchy, & a flavor explosion. Hungry also ordered a mushroom soup, pasta dish and a 3 meat pizza 🍕. Most dishes one can specify a small or large plate. Ordered only small plates and we still enough for lunch next day! Domenica saved in favorites 😍.
Tratra C
Overall, I really enjoy the food and the vibe here. Be aware that… when the waitress asked if you wanna add shrimp/chicken for your pasta/dishes, those will be extra charge which makes sense. But, I would rather be informed when I’m ordering not I saw it on the bill without notification.
Lauren Maiman
Enjoyed great service and equally good food at Domenica. Would highly recommend the chocolate coconut dessert situation.
Kyros Moutsouris
Nice italian restaurant in the Roosevelt hotel. Pizza with the thickest cut of prosciutto on both sides of the Atlantic. Pasta likely homemade. Can be busy at times, so better to book ahead. Many thanks to the general manager Richard for sorting us out.

This restaurant is very good! Great food. The bread for starter was incredible.
The service was great also.
Very recommended!!!
Andrew Nilson
We heard great things so we had to try it. Our favorite thing we ordered was the meatballs off the antipasto menu. Very delicious. We enjoyed the pizza too, but it was a little sweeter than our palates prefer, we typically like savory.
katrin
i had a pizza magaritha. AMAZING! one of the best so far. lots of people tho, i would recommend a reservation. i came around 7pm and no table available until 9pm. the manager told me i can wait for a spot at the bar. (first come, first serve). i waited for 10min. the two bartenders were super friendly but bussy. if you don't mind the hussle in front of you, perfect for spontanious visites.
John loper
Wonderful staff, food, location, and ambiance. Go experience life and enjoy!
Zac Lippincott
One thing brought me back 5 years later: the roasted cauliflower & whipped goat cheese. This very simple but greater-than-sum-of-its-parts “antipasti” dish is simply a delight, even for a non-lover of cauliflower like myself.
Between walking in and immediately sitting down (table for two) with no reservation, to the wine effortlessly pairing (it just happened), and both ordered dishes being exactly as expected - this was an exceptional dining experience.
Go for the first one, and let it unfold from there: Domenica is a little journey waiting in the bottom of The Roosevelt.
Frank Candalisa
Enjoyed the service and the quality of the food, great bar selection, good drinks, pleased with wine selection. Attentive staff. Enjoy celebratory occasion properly.
Christopher Hatch
By coincidence they texted me my table was ready as we were walking through the door, and seated us immediately. Our waiter came right over and introduced himself. As we perused the menu, we asked to translate, as neither of us is proficient with Italian. We ordered their white wine sangria, which had a slight peach accent, and was very good. At Our waiter’s suggestion my wife ordered the rigatoni with an added bolognese sauce, which she said was excellent. I ordered lasagne, my go to Italian dish, made with pasta verde and pork ragu. The serving was huge, and I only managed to eat half, so I get another meal from it! The dessert was a superb chocolate mousse with chocolate peanut butter bark and hazelnuts. I noticed a lot of folks ordering their pizza, which also looked good. Overall, I would recommend Domenica for anyone looking for an excellent Italian experience in New Orleans.
Janella Davis
Its ok... my husband said the lasagna was average. The pizza was delish and I had the ink linguine. Hubs didnt care for it but I liked it. The ambiance is nice and I'd go back. Did take a long time before food came.
Amir Shevat
We had a wonderful time here. Try the lasagna. Thank me later.
Jeremy Bolf
Dinner was great and the setting in the Roosevelt hotel is upscale. A highlight was the cheese board! We had to take some to go it was so good. Our pasta was done perfectly, too.
Kailee Toth
Our company hosted our annual retreat at the Roosevelt & we rented out Domenica for dinner. The food was incredible and all of the staff was wonderful to work with. Very memorable dinner & I would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in New Orleans!
Joann Marks
Lovely place! Food was obviously best ingredients
, pizza toppings were awesome but crust not crisp enough. Pasta good but not exceptional. However, i liked the place and would try again...
Kathleen
Domenica has a very nice business casual/dressy atmosphere that was quiet enough to allow for good conversation in most of the restaurant.
The food was good; I tried the Rigatoni Arabiatta and my date had the Clam Pizza. I'm not a Clam Pizza type of person but it was better than I expected and my date agreed.
The service was very slow, which was why I only gave 4 stars. The food was worth going back for and seeing if one night of slow service was just one night, or more overall.
Eddie Taylor
Great food, romantic ambiance, and even BETTER service!! Our waitress Gabby and her coworker Craig made our experience so much fun and it’s just 14 floors down from our suite. I recommend this restaurant and even better, request Gabby or Craig as your server.
Denise Burgess
Better than expected! Ambience was great. Food was even better. We were not very hungry so we kept it light. The fried kale is a must-try. We were blown away as we've made kale chips at home, but these are 100x better than your homemade kale chips. The pizza and cocktails were great too. Will have to return on an empty stomach so I can enjoy more courses.
Sonja Wright
We always love the pizza at Domenica! I ordered the clam pizza and it always delivers!! Our waitress was awesome! She delivered A+ service! My only draw back is the seating. Although they said the tables were 6ft apart, they were not.(Covid phase 2) When I asked to move to the different area, the host abliged, pleasantly, so we were pleased. We love this restaurant and will be back!
shen jiayi
Pizza here is so transitional and the waiter is really warm!!!
Also the cider and ipa and desserts are worth a try
addis coleman
I was so happy with this place. Great everything!!! When I come back to New Orleans this is my first place to eat! Loved it! Very impressive! The price was excellent for what you get!
NAKIA WILLIAMS
Unfortunately our night didn't start off well. We were seated and no one acknowledged us for over 20 mins until we said something to the front host. The waitress was very apologetic and assured us she did not know we were seated there. Dinner was delicious and so was the make-up dessert she gave us for the wait. The atmosphere had a nice ambiance to it as well. Would recommend this spot.
Tricia Steeves
We hit the end of a Friday night happy hour. Ordered three cheese plate, the swordfish carpaccio, two small pastas (rigatoni arrabbiata and truffle agnolotti), and the pizza with white clam sauce (yes, trust me on this). The food was INCREDIBLE - my favorite meal in NOLA by far! Craig took amazing care of us - made fantastic recommendations (including directing us to a live music jazz club) and treated us like treasured regulars. My only regret is that there isn’t time to go back before we leave the city. Thanks for a wonderful time!!
Tracy Michele
My only advice-Save room for dessert!
Stephen Ledet
We played tourists our city - checked out the Christmas lights at the Roosevelt and grabbed dinner at Domenica. Great food, service and atmosphere, although we got blasted with cold air everytime the Baronne Street door was opened. Maybe they should restrict entry to the hotel entrance on extra chilly nights.
El S.
They were out of pretty much every charcuterie item I wanted on the menu so I have to give a low rating for the food. Service was fantastic until 20+/- people were seated next to us but it still remained decent.
Christophe Chabanel
50 minutes to receive a glass of vine and 75 minutes for the pizza…Very small table for four persons. Very noisy (76 decibels average mesure).
Below average service for this type of restaurant
Noël Lemen
Phenomenal food, amazing staff, excellent cocktails. We had an incredible smoked swordfish carpaccio appetizer, and my rigatoni was perfect- fresh pasta, bright arrabiata, wonderful spice notes that managed not to overwhelm the tomato. The staff was friendly and kind, and overall our experience was wonderful. This is a new favorite destination!
Danielle Hamburg
Amazing! Very authentic and Corey was an awesome server. He treated us like long time friends and made us feel very welcome. And the food was absolutely amazing!
Amanda Bailey
I ordered the wagyu shank steak (I never get steak at a restaurant because it’s never as good as my husband makes it at home), this steak was off the charts delicious. Definitely worth the money. If ever I go back to NO, this is my first stop!
B Anderson
Literally the best fettuccine alfredo I've ever had! Wonderful atmosphere, authentic Italian food at a good price. My new go-to on future NOLA visits!
Mike Brown
We went during happy hour and the entire pizza and beer menu is half off! Very nice atmosphere and vibe. We had the Calabrese and Black & Gold pizzas. They were both delicious thin crust pizzas, very filling despite how thin they were. The toppings were so flavorful you didn't need huge portions of them like you do with a bland pizza. We will return for sure!
Derek Johnson
Domenica is a mid sized Italian eatery serving classic Italian fare along with a rotating seasonal menu. The menu appears to be carefully crafted and the food exquisitely prepared. The ambience and cocktails/wine selections also make for a romantic locale for evening drinks. My only caution would be to not come here expecting large portions. Even for experience focused restaurants the portions can seem small.
Anna MF
Great dinner, they had lots of gluten free options! Most of their starters are gf, and they can do any of the pastas gf! I had the risotto, which was very good!
Mark LoGiurato
Nicely curated Italian restaurant with good service and food as well as a good Italian wine list to compliment the food. The food is tasty and fresh. the pizza is just OK as the dough is not up to par with the rest of the fresh ingredients. The woodfired pizza goes to waste as the dough is too dry and flaky - I couldn't believe how many people didn't eat the crust on their pizzas- a bad sign. Just add oil and salt to the dough and it would be better.
kurt rhodes
Very nice atmosphere and worth the stop. Our server was very helpful as we had many questions. The Italian beer I had was one of the best I have ever had. The crispy brussel sprouts were out of this world, never had them cooked that way. Crunchy with a sweet moist flavor. All pasta is made fresh in house and you can taste the difference. The squid ink pasta was very tasty, the lasagna was very good. Good luck finishing it. The bread pudding was very tasty. Along with complementary italian cookie. Would definitely revisit when in New Orleans again.
Valentine Lewis
Tastes sooooo good! Highly recommended!
Rosalind Gibson
Located in the Roosevelt Hotel. A wonderful atmosphere with friendly service. We sat in the bar and .Ade it in time for happy hour. We had peach bellinis and pizza. Both were really good. The pizza is thin crust and fresh tasty dough. With the bill we were given sample cookies. We would definitely come again. We found out about this place from a regular visitor to New Orleans.
Katherinne G
The service was amazing, Elizabeth was a great server. The place is stunning, and the food is really good. I recommended try the pizza.
Dat Tran
Great ambiance. The good was good, but it wasn't the best! Happy hour was definitely worth for half off pizzas!
Trevor Holder
What a great experience. Our waiter was amazing. He sat down with us and took the time to give us great recommendations and explain everything that was in the dishes. You can tell he really enjoys what he does. The food was all excellent as well. The squid ink pasta was very light and simple but had such great flavor. The beef short ribs contrasted nicely as they were bold and so flavorful.
Brady Crump
Cool atmosphere, very fancy, old school Italian vibe, but the food wasn’t that good (at least the pasta, dry and bland). Their pizza was actually really good. The service was bad though. Water was pretty warm, and they charged us $4 for balsamic vinegar to dip our bread in (without telling us). I wasn’t very satisfied. Especially with the price. I would have given this place 2 stars, if it weren’t for the tasty pizza and cool environment.
ELI GONZALEZ
Honestly the pizza is pretty good but I didn’t receive the best service. The place is posh and located inside a SUPPER nice hotel. I gotta say that they do have good wine and good food AND also really cool music. Vibe is everything. However I feel like the waitress didn’t come around enough. Then towards the end she served my wine in a plastic cup. I mean I know that you can walk out with alcohol here in New Orleans but when your drinking A $15 glass of wine you do not want to be walking up and down a dirty street. Anyway. That’s why the 3 stars. I also saw a fly swing by a couple times over my table. I would come again but I would hope for better service. That is all.
Ellie Joy P.
Don’t walk in without a reservation! We went in on a Friday evening and waited more than 1h for a table for 2. We waited by the bar and were thankful to be able to get drinks while waiting. The restaurant is very nice and the food is really good! Is worth dining with them. LOVED the fried calamari and also the quattro formaggi pizza.
Jennifer Cashman
This is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. Everything I have tried I have enjoyed. They have a great cocktail and wine list and located in the beautiful Roosevelt Hotel (also one of my favorites).
Kate R
Fresh, light, tasty pizza! The desserts were uniquely presented and the perfect ending to a delicious meal. Beautiful restaurant in a great location!
Stormtrooper 24
Delicious. The bread basket is the perfect starter with the slightly spicy olive oil. Had the lasagna and the ceppo and both were delicious. The lasagna was cheesy and very flavorful. The rabbit in the ceppo was slow cooked and very tender. At the end they bring you complimentary espresso brownie bites. I would certainly return, especially if Rita is our server again. She was extremely friendly and made the experience even better.
Xin Zhang
Beautiful ambiance, good service and decent food. The appetisers were great and the quantity is pretty generous. The pizza size was also pretty big, but the taste was mediocre.
Amanda Cain
Nice upscale atmosphere. Great service. Delicious food. Had the bruschetta, arugula salad and bean soup, slice of pizza - pizza has a thin crust, slightly charred.
Quentin Leclerc
Really good Italian restaurant. Product are all very fresh, dishes are tasty. I would recommend their pizzas they are just excellent!! The service was good a place to eat in New Orleans downtown.
jaideep sidhu
A lovely place with plenty of seating (but also plenty of waiting in the evening time). The food was great and servers nice. Their pizza was a bit burnt, but tasted great. Their tiramisu is definitely worth a shot.
Fujino Kayanuma
As a frequent business traveler, I am picky about hotels and restaurants but absolutely loved this restaurant!!
First of all, my server was one of the best servers I met. She was professional and attentive. She explained the menu well and stopped by the table even before we needed her. Other hostesses were very professional also.
Second, we loved the food- The bread was the best bread I’ve ever eaten in America. The squid spaghetti was great also.
Lastly the restaurant was clean and beautiful with great atmosphere.
Brian Brown
Food and service was fantastic. Would give a 10 if I could. Meat and cheese board was great and our main course dishes were well beyond expectations. If you go, do not skip dessert. You'll thank me later.
P Ieong
Great clam pizza. Yes, clam pizza. Again. Yes, clam pizza. Fresh light clam meat on top of so much mozzarella cheese and roasted garlic on top of the softest naan like tasting bread. If you want to just stick your toes in, you can always just do half clam and half the pizza of your choice. They let you do that. Also, from 3pm to 5pm they have happy hours with half off pizzas and wines and beer.
Freedom Seed Planter
What a wonderful experience. 1st of all thank you so much to the service manager Courtney. We were told they were reservations only and had no room for the 5 of us. Courtney then walked up and told us hang tight and let him see if he can find room. 1 minute later he came back with a table for us. The food and service was amazing. The cauliflower was highly recommended and lived up to its reputation. Our server Matt was knowledgeable and so polite. Courtney then came by later to the table just to make sure we enjoyed our dinner, he was so nice and sweet to us. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience we had while in your city for a few days..
Casa DeLeon
Considering my friend and I would have been alright with Ramen Noodles, this place was completely an upgrade to our thoughts. The wait was a 45 min on a Saturday night, but we were not in a hurry so we opted for sitting at the bar. I wrote our bar tenders names, just don't have it on me now. They started us off w/some yummy soft bread and room temp. yummy butter that we could not get enough of. My friend order the Roman Style Artichoke appetizer, which she did not end up liking, I on the other hand LOVED them! The ONLY thing about any place I am going to eat at is, I have to see what the food looks like so I have a correct assessment of what it is I'm about to eat. So I looked online, on Google but I was looking at good food, but I was not sure if it was what I actually wanted or was going to be ordering(no names). I ordered the Tortellini, w/morel mushrooms, spring peas and robiola. I also ordered a Perroni Italian beer, mainly bc I had seen the commercial and wanted to try it. Keep in mind, the picture I had in my mind was not what I had expected. But I was as pleased. My friend ordered Lasagna w/a Verde sauce, bêchamel, mozzarella & a pork ragú. She was pleasantly surprised, it didn't have Ricotta (which she doesn't like, nor do I) It came in a little personal Lasagna pan, and smelled like heaven! She asked for Fresh shredded parmesan cheese. We chatted up the bar tender and proceeded with our night. Enjoyed it quite thoroughly.

Great Italian food for the French Quarter
Wilton LeJeune (Willard)
Dinner was wonderful. The menu felt authentic. The food and service were just as spectacular as the ambiance. The manager Courtney goes above and beyond working with his staff throughout dinner. We witnessed him multiple times helping bus and serve. Would say he’s probably the best general manager in the Nola area. Just an overall grand experience.
Simona Sanders
Great service, great ambiance, and presentation, but the food wasn't hitting. It could have been better. However, I'd go again. If you want something authentic, I'm not sure this is the spot, but why would you go to NOLA for anything authentic outside of bayou food, lol.
Bianca Weeks
Oh my gosh this place is amazing! We went for lunch and got the arancini, white pizza(half off happy hour!), and squid ink pasta with blue crab. Easily my favorite restaurant our entire trip!! We asked a couple of questions about the menu and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the items on the menu. It was half a block from our hotel which made it so easy to get to! Definitely made our ‘must go back’ list. Definitely recommend! The squid ink pasta with blue crab was my favorite thing the whole trip, I thought it would be fishier than it was but it was just absolutely delicious. I would eat it every day if I could!!
Marcia Kazarian
I really enjoyed the food, and the speakeasy ambiance of Domenica. The prices were very good considering the food quality and the location inside The Roosevelt hotel. I was disappointed in the very slow service...more than an hour from ordering to receiving entrees, at 8PM on a Thursday. In addition, the server didn't really address this in an apologetic way, or offer any sort of concession. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star review.
John Nguyen
Half off pizzas for happy hour. We had the usual Clam pizza and the tutto carne. Also had the squid ink tagliolini and the bucatini which were both delicious. Service could've been better but it wasnt horrible.
linda tical
Delicious rigatoni and the best pizza in New Orleans . As authentic Italian as it gets in the crescent city … elegant ambiance and nice service as well 💗
Miguel Angel
Had the Tagliatelle, Fried Tuscan Kale, and a few drinks, the food is of good size and the taste was great. The place is in a good location and well decorated. Good ambiance and a place to visit. The service was great. The pizza is not their best but the dishes that we tried were great.
Steven Currier
Pizza was freaking incredible. Plus it was half price pizza and drinks in for happy hour. Long wait so make a reservation if you want a table, but I'll stick to happy hour in bar.
Hari Narayan
The pizzas we're spot on. The roasted pork pizza was packed with flavor. The crust was perfect. The hot Toddy...a great start to the morning. Slightly pricey but was worth it. Thumbs up.
Alessandro Braga
Hands down the best Italian style pizza in New Orleans! Hence, salumi are the same quality as you may find in Italy. Atmosphere is awesome and the service is impeccable.
Sarah Leipold
Delish but not cheap. Totally worth it if you're having a fancier night out! Cauliflower with whipped feta is to die for. Not affiliated with Roosevelt Hotel so you can't use hotel credit on the bill (we learned the hard way, still v worth it).
Sandra Gomila Kaletsch
Lovely dining, our roasted cauliflower wasn't roasted enough. Our spigette served with red gravy was a little dry. Not enough sauce and wasn't served hot. Serves was nice.
Ted Lee
came here because it was voted one of the best pizza in the state of Louisiana. I have to say, they were right. get the clam pizza, it's that good. oh and let's not forget the roasted cauliflower, oh how I miss it.
Lisa Lam
Everything I've ever ordered from here, has been so good. The happy hour half off pizzas from 2-5 everyday are wonderful. Yesterday I came for lunch around 1 by myself, ordered the fried kale and squid ink tagliolini. To be honest, I think the pasta did not agree with my stomach hours later. But the food was so good it was worth it. Every other time I've come, it's been so worth it. Get the Gianduja Budino for dessert! It's wonderful! Would definitely recommend to others!
Jedanndrila Bushnell
While the place had a nice ambience and the food a beautiful presentation I found the flavors to be underwhelming. I had the lamb special in which some parts were medium well and others at medium. The server did not bother to ask how I would like my lamb prepared. It was under salted and my date's pasta was nothing to write home about.
Oliver Karam
Nicely decorated restaurant, with an interesting Italian menu. The pizzas are really similar to those you’d find in Italy. The other dishes are more “ordinary”.
Furthermore, the pasta my wife has ordered were cold and it took them 20 minutes to bring them back. Minimal apologies... Overall, a mediocre experience.
Phillip P
Amazing place!!! From the food to the service! The cauliflower was different in a good way! Lasagna knocked it out of the park!!!
Kelly Ann Varonfakis
I've eaten here a couple times during happy hour. From 2-5 pm (M-F) they have half priced wood fired pizza, half price well drinks, beer, and glasses of wine. If you're looking for neapolitan pizza - this isn't authentic, however they are creatively topped and the crust has great bite. I love both the tutto carne (you can ask for the egg well done if you're squimish about yolk) and and the smoked pork. Service is usually good. If you're dining with a large group ask them to separate the check before you order or you might be met with a lot of attitude (I won't hold that experience against the restaurant.)
Don Temblor
Good post game crowd. Friendly bar service. OK pasta and foccacia. The beer could have been colder. All in all, a pleasant Italian restaurant in the CBD.
Imagination Cards
Great atmosphere and very clean looking restaurant with respectful employees. I immediately felt comfortable even as a germaphobe, which is very hard to do in certain parts of New Orleans.
A flavor sensation to enliven your spirit. Slight disappointment with the lemon cello. See pictures indicate that there are two different things being served and neither one of them taste like lemon cello. Both taste like harsh inexpensive gin or vodka with lemon juice. A far cry from actual lemon cello.
However the service is superb and everything else was excellent so I'm going to have to keep it at five stars and hope that maybe the owner actually goes to Italy to see what lemon cello is supposed to taste like.
Ariel Goldberger
Great environment and awesome prices, but the food taste was a bit disappointing
Maxwell C. Bolton
The food was very good but what made this place great was the service. The bartender/server, Matt, was really fantastic. Super knowledgeable, attentive, and an all-around pleasure.
chao wang
Fabulous environment (pretty romantic feeling except the loud happiness) with delicious food, dishes were fast and service is warm. Would coma back again if there is another visits to New Orleans in future.
Sam Hays
Best Italian food I've ever had. Our server was so knowledgeable and really walked us around the menu. She provided suggestions and she was not wrong. We had the fried risotto, the wild mushroom soup, and the campanelle with the bolognese sauce. It was amazing.
Joella r
Nice place nice food. Hostess polite and friendly. Only thing some waiters needs training and be a little bit more friendly.
lor
beautiful restaurant. apps were okay but the pasta entrees were amazing!
Vanessa Fernandez Jimenez
White pizza delicious, the roasted garlic touch was a kick.
Patrick Wickett
Excellent pizza. Excellent wine list. The bartenders were knowledgeable and friendly. Killer happy hour. Go!
Linda Snider-Ward
Great wait staff & food is delicious. More food than one needs for the evening. Especially loved the oysters and shrimp.
Roy Aubin
Really good apps. Pizza is great. Friendly quick service. Go back again and again.
Nice to be able to sit at bar as well.
Brad Armentor
Went for lunch on a Saturday with my girlfriend.
We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked and the flavor was just *chef’s kiss*
We split the white pizza and that was also fantastic. The crust was light and crispy and all he flavors blended well.
Steven K
Delicious! I had a side salad, bread with pepper infused olive oil, and lasagna. It was as good as it looks. Great space with nice vibe. Big open space. It was busy at 5 pm. Great location just outside the quarter. Very friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommend.
Evan Boiteaux
Full Disclosure: I worked for this group at another location. Wonderful ambiance great Italian menu and wine list
I had the seared redfish wife has gulf shrimp risotto.
Lexi Gurkin
Absolutely amazing. The food, the service, the atmosphere- all wonderful and well worth it. It IS expensive but worth every cent for the experience. Forgot to save pics of the entrée and dessert but this was the app we shared and oh. my. god. We will definitely be coming again next time we visit NOLA!
Chris Clarke
Great food, great service! This restaurant is so good!!! We had a family meal here. I had the rigatoni arrabiata. I highly recommend it. I only wish it was slightly more spicy. My husband had bucatini amatriciana and it was also delicious. And my son had steak frites that he loved. The wines were very good as well. The banana zuppa inglese dessert was excellent as was our other dessert (that I don’t know how to spell)
Wendy Moncrief
Would have given it 5 stars, however the waitress acted like it was a chore to serve us. The pizza and Gulf Shrimp Rosotto was amazing.
Daryl Elizabeth Wells
I had the pleasure of going to Domenica last weekend and had one of the best customer service experiences. The manager Courtney was extremely attentive and made sure our experience was amazing. We all know how difficult it has been for the service industry during covid and it was wonderful to feel like a sense of normalcy. Will be back soon!
Mariah Washington
The cauliflower and whipped feta cheese appetizer was delicious! Service was impeccable. Waiter was very friendly and personable service was spot on! Would definitely have dinner here again.
Goonie Googoo
Packed at 630 on Thursday nearly empty by 730. Red snapper with fennel was terrific as was the waygu steak.
Amanda Steffan
The happy hour here is clutch. Half off wine and pizzas. What more do you really need? The pizza is thin crust. Decently chewy and flavorful. Had better but those were outstanding. Stands up probably better than most pizza in the middle of the country. A pizza and two glasses of good wine during happy hour ran us less than $25 which is hard to complain about. Nice atmosphere.
Mark Concannon
The menu is short for an Italian restaurant, but every dish is a hit! The in-house cured meats are delicious, the cheeses are perfect portions to taste, and the octopus couldn't be prepared better! We had the shrimp risotto and lasagna. Both were wonderful! I didn't have enough room to try everything. We will have to come back!
Sangtawun Miller
Great deals during happy hour (3-5 pm)! Half off all pizzas and some drinks. The food was delicious and the restaurant was in a really nice hotel.
Mario Balatti
Food is true Italian. Had the blue crab squid ink pasta and the cream of mushroom.
Tabitha Lindley
Super delicious. Cocktails are aldo wonderful. My favorite was the shrimp pasta.
Ryan Hughes
Amazing cuisine, reasonably priced for the level of service (Ryan is an amazing server, Courtney is a perfect maître d. They ensure you are well taken care of) and quality of food! Top shelf bourbons, great pairings. You really could not ask for a better place to eat. If it is to your likings, I definitely recommend the affogato...it was delicious!! (the best I've had in a long time)
Tommy Transplant (Tommy Transplant)
Domenica has some really delicious food, but my favorite thing was the crazy good salty bread, especially when paired with some of the roasted cauliflower and whipped feta cheese spread. The pizza was also really good, but I have decided that clams are best on their own and will be sticking with their red pizzas in the future.
The place could use a touch of styling updates, but it's still a fantastic place to visit on a date night.
Stephanie Mayes
NOLA 2022 - First, we come here every time we come to NOLA, granted it's out first time back since the pandemic. We were so excited, as this is one of our favorite places. BUT!!! It appears staffing issues have reached here too. Our waitress was not what I expected and did meet the usual experience. That was disappointing. We close Domenica for our last night on this trip, thinking it would icing on the cake... It fell short. The food was great, but most food in the city is. We come here for the food service combo. I hope that is this highly competitive market, the restaurant will take the server issues to heart. If this has been our first visit...it would leave a bad impression and we would not come back. A smile from the server good a long way...
Mimi Frankle
We just arrived yesterday afternoon to New Orleans and Domenica was close to our Airbnb so we went there, it’s a fine dining place, we had no reservations and the wait was almost two hrs so we ordered takeout. They were very helpful and food was ready in almost half an hour. Pizza, pasta and lasagna were good , green leaves salad wasn’t. We paid 80$ the pasta was kid size.
MyInfoTech FineArtsMediaEdu
Marvelous food, service, and style, alongside the most beautiful hotel in New Orleans!
Adriana Zambrano
One of my favorite places in New Orleans. Not only do they have delicious food, not only is it located in a beautiful hotel, but they also have an amazing happy hour where their pizza and some beer/wine is half off 🤩 my favorite pizza is the tutto carne and we add an egg in the middle. Go see them 😋 …
Bud Laska
Amazing! Cory was our server and he was the best server I’ve ever had in any restaurant. He gave us his suggestions on everything from the one selection of cured meats, his thoughts on the pasta, the soft shell crab, and the desserts. The restaurant itself was very much what we were wanting. It had a wonderful, laid back but classy vibe. The cocktails and food were amazing and really put my expectations through the roof. Shoutout to Cory!
Johnny Thomas
Not going to lie. Surprisingly great. Awesome flavor on every dish
Kristiana Renee
Delicious food and wonderful service.
Ordered the prosciutto that’s made in house and fell in love! Definitely coming back.
Dr. Bao Tran
Thank to my server Ryan, great service excellent food. Thank you.
George Kinter
Great fire brick oven pizza and they are 1/2 price during happy hour. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts. They're fantastic.
Mitch Andrews
Stopped in for lunch and were blown away by an awesome happy hour and incredible food. Pizza and pasta can be a nice break from the New Orleans norms. Certainly not just pumping out basic Italian though, they keep it exciting.
Karthik Narayan
The food here is soo nice, an interesting take on Italian cuisine with a southern touch. Loved the flavour of the house olive oil, the risotto was wonderful and the rigatoni was unique (in a good way)
And the desert, coconut cream and chocolate bark was a cool finisher 😎 Shout-out to @Celina thank you thank you 😄
Jimbeaux Slice
Best pizza on this continent. You'll need a flight to Italy to find something better.
Roberto Mazza
likely one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been in the US. Great menu, but above all great food. Good service and overall child friendly.
Jeshire Cat
Great wine, svelte decor, and fantastic wait staff! Cory is the best, kindest, funniest waiter ever! <3
Amanda Simcoe
Clam pizza and squid-ink pasta were both excellent! Half-priced wine at the bar during happy hour.
Christine Henderson
I found this gem by accident and have been here twice on my vacation already. The food is amazing and the service is the best I have ever had. Seriously. Especially Gerard, he was professional, friendly and remembered the wine I ordered the night before. Amazing.
Marvin Cerrato
Delicious pizza, never thought I would love a Clam pizza but it was so good had to take one home...
an m
The atmosphere was great. The steak and lasagna were tasty. Also, on a small note the bread and dipping sauce with a hint of spice was a great opening to the meal. Even the water was refreshing.
Corrisa
We loved the atmosphere of this place. Drinks were delicious but the food takes a while to come out and the risotto was very lemony.
miro
Excellent authentic Italian pizza. And my son and I are Italian and very demanding on pizzas😁
Tomas D. Spillane
Great food and drink and it's even better during their happy hour. Order the Lambrusco sparkling red wine you'll be pleasantly surprised. (It's not your Mama's Reunite lol)
MSP Marketing
Front of the house manager, Courtney, was fabulous! Wait staff member, Lee, was also fabulous. In the world of post pandemic dining out and trying to navigate the world of short staffing, both of these employees made our experience truly divine. They were fabulous in dealing with us and our children. As locals, dealing with the renewed crowds and current situations, we have to say we were so pleasantly surprised - not to mention all the food was also fabuslous!
Pooja Patel
The foood is soooo good! The service is perfect! It’s a gem in New Orleans!!!
I can’t explain how my stay was amplified with my experience at this restaurant!!
Mike Bermudez
Upscale place with an extensive wine selection and great atmosphere. However, our pasta was beyond al dente. We took one bite and thought that it was undercooked. Turns out that it's the way it was supposed to be. I've been to Italy four times and live in Philadelphia where I regularly eat at upscale Italian restaurants, and I've never had pasta as firm as this. Maybe it's how some like their pasta, but definitely not us. Our server did her best and was very friendly though.
Hind KH
I liked the pizza the most, I ordered meatball. The service was good and the place is so beautiful
Chase Pickering
Best lasagna
Toasted kale was equally great.
Sit at the bar if you have the chance, same great service without the wait!
Frances Sharp
Amazing food, atmosphere and Lisa is the best server. Ask for Lisa!
Matt Dudley
Happy hour is the way to go here. The pizzas are huge. Cory, our waiter, was definitely the highlight of our entire trip!
Benjamin Goodsell
Amazing food and amazing service. Bar staff were incredible. Highly recommend.
Adam T.
Ordered here a few times and was always very pleased with what I got. The staff was always friendly and the to-go service was always prompt. Food is always so good!
Jennifer L
Food was v good, but the atmosphere was like a diner...loud etc. Not a good place to have a conversation. No dress code. And I would say it's a good place for a crowd but the prices are very high if you are picking up the tab. Wines by the glass (small pour:3 or 4 oz) are 12 to 17 per, we had 4, and three "small" primi (pasta courses) and an espresso: it was $125 without the tip. We had reservations and were given a table that looked like they added it that night. Last, though not so much the fault of the restaurant, but if you are from out of town, you may have to walk out on canal, and gives "seedy" a new meaning. Unless you're staying at the Roosevelt (connected to Domenica) and don't want to get to any of the fantastic places to eat in NOLA, I would not recommend this restaurant.
From East To West
One of my all time favorites in NOLA since I went to college here ten years ago. The happy hour is the best deal and the cauliflower is beyond memorable.
Atsushi Numata
Matt gave us great time at our table. The food is real deal
Anthony R
Loved this restaurant, it was so good we went back a second night! The highlight was the world famous lasagna!
traci Bailey
The atmosphere is nice. The food was ok.
Pamela Savini
The meatballs and polenta are my favorite. Great place to dine!
Monica Rios
Love this place...I have been going for years now, It never disappoints.
They have a manager that I have not seen before, Courtney, He is awesome!!..He seems to be really hands on and on top of everything...Surely will be coming back.
MIA
Great staff! The food was..meh. Honestly paying $18 for a literal head of cauliflower didn’t make me mad, but it sure did make me chuckle at my own life choices. Also, maybe go a little easy on the salt. I left the restaurant feelin parched 😆 …
Janice Weiner
A wonderful meal from start to finish. Our server, Leigh, was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. Everything we ate was delicious. We made an upcoming reservation before we left the restaurant.
Robert Nichols
I am fairly picky with what I qualify as good Italian food, but the pasta here is great!
Kristen Stapleton
We had the most amazing night at Domenica last night. The food and drinks were outstanding but the service was the best we’ve had in a very long time and one of the best parts of our night. Nikki took care of us and was the most wonderful and friendly server, very knowledgeable of the menu and guided us to the best choices. Her boisterous and genuine laugh was the highlight to our meal. Domenica is very lucky to have her on their staff. We are in New Orleans frequently and will definitely be back.
Joseph Aragona
Try the squid ink pasta. It's phenomenal. The pizza is pretty decent too. This restaurant is attached to the Roosevelt which has a cool first floor to take a stroll through.
Adam Williams
It is hard to beat the happy hour's half priced pizzas
Johnathan Lee
Great Italian restaurants. Was probably a little over hyped about the pizzas but the pasta was spot on
Jerry Lenaz
While the food and service is always great, they need to improve their hostess station. I went with a friend knowing we would only get a seat at the bar, and it was first come, first serve. The hostess told us it would be about 30 min given the current seating and to wait.
During that time, another couple walked in and the hostess brought them to the bar. When we went to inquire why she seated then instead of us, she said "the bar is first come first serve." I explained we were here first and asked to wait, but she suggested we needed to "hover over people at the bar" to ensure we get a seat! Who says that to both ruin the experience of two couples!
Mariam Rauf
Great food and even better service. Desserts and pizza must try.
Matt Houtsma
Happy hour from 3-5 features half price pizza and many great half price drinks. Service was excellent and food was delicious. I highly recommend this place for an early dinner or just a few drinks.
The Asheville Googlist
The hostess was delightful and my server, Sky, was the best.
🍽
The complimentary focaccia was light and tender with a subtle sweetness. Paired with a brightly flavored, chile-infused olive oil, it was the perfect start to my meal.
🍽
The beet salad was well executed and most satisfying - the enchanting aroma of the smoked beets arrived at the table moments before the dish itself.
🍽
The truffle agnolotti was outstanding; delicate ricotta-stuffed pasta bathed generously in a buttery broth, garnished with earthy black truffle and piquant Grana Padano. Mamma mia!
Yingxi Rona Shi
This place usually needs reservation to get in for dinner. Showed up at 8 and got lucky that some one just cancelled reservation. We ordered fried kale for appetizer and squids ink pasta and steak. Kale has good flavor, crispy with slight tangy taste to balance the greasiness from the breading. The pine nuts add good flavor to the dish. The squid ink pasta cooked to al dente with smooth crab meat. The creamy sauce has little kick to it. Steak is tender, juicy, and flavorful, accompanied with beets, scallion, and tangerine. Overall best Italian food I tasted in New Orleans. Oh, the Xmas display that outside of the restaurant in The Roosevelt New Orleans hotel is gorgeous. Don't forget to check it out after dinner.
Brianna Jackson
Happy hour is great for the coin-conscious traveler 😉 Half-off all pizzas, wine, beers, and bellinis! Thursday night bartenders are so fun, I forgot their names because my head was in a book. I wish there were better designation for the host stand for seating since I got lucky snagging a seat at the bar, but otherwise I had a great lil birthday dinner! Btw the Lambrusco (sweet, figgy sparkling red) goes perfectly with the Calabrese pizza
christie rodriguez
Went for a casual dinner and had the Bucatini All’Amatriciana and the Brezza Fresca which were delicious.
Alyssa Johnson
Food was excellent and the wait staff very friendly.
Natalie dePasquale
I’m both an Italian and a New Yorker, and I can say that I don’t think you can find better pasta in New Orleans. I was shocked at how good both my amatriciana and agnolotti were, shocked. If you want authentic Italian pasta, this is the place!! The chef is from Tuscany and it shows.
Nicole Kraemer
The food was amazing. The service was top notch, J.P. was our server and went above and beyond.
Wayne Boyko
We went because we were acquainted with a bartender, Matt, who made us several delicious cocktails. We went with his suggestions, and he did not steer us wrong; the mark of a great bartender who knows his patrons tastes!
We also had a charcuterie board, at his suggestion, and two specialty pizzas. Food was delicious, just like the cocktails. Definitely a place to return to again and again!
Anthony Gordon
food was great. drinks were great..server was amazing!
Dina Cooper
Second time coming to Domenica. Went spur of the moment and we were immediately seated. One of the bartenders, Gerad, took care of us and gave us some of the best service we’ve ever had at any dining establishment! He paced the meal perfectly. The atmosphere, food and drinks were amazing! Will definitely be back next time we visit New Orleans.
Andre Zietsman
So their pizzas are most excellent, however their salads are very small which I find irritating... Look more like a $5 salad than a $10+. We have not eaten at one of their locations yet, just take out, but they look very cool and a place I definitely want to go to.
Come on Domenica, make the salads bigger!
Mel V
The food here was good. I especially liked the salumi and formaggi tray. We selected salami gentile (I think that's the name) and a variety of delicious cheeses. The tray also came with sliced pickled cucumbers, candied pecans, and some kind of delicious round bread. I think I could have eaten that all night long. I had the risotto and shrimp which was good. The service was attentive and friendly.
Kevin Buck
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Domenica. The pizza was the only average thing about the meal. The mushroom soup was superb, and the seafood risotto and lasagne were both amazing dishes for the main course. Service was great, our waitress Lee was friendly and attentive. Staff were properly masked and tables were spaced out.
Brian Skulski
Outstanding food, fantastic service.. This place does not miss!
Elena Mutonono
We always go to Domenica to celebrate birthdays. It's a cozy place with yummy pizza and friendly staff. Today my daughter turned 6, and we were there to celebrate. Our server's name was Gerard D., and he was super helpful and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised when he said that he took care of our kids' ice-cream. Wow, what a gift! Thank you so much!
Lana Gregory
Great service and location! The Margherita pizza and meatball pizza were perfect.
Léo Talbot
First place we try in N-O and we really enjoy, portion were big and food amazing. Took the black squid pasta with blue crab and it was incredible.
Greg McKinley
A excellent experience enjoyed every bit of it! Perfect atmosphere excellent service. From cocktails appetizer Superior entree menu desert par excellence! My family and I enjoyed multiple while on vacation our daughter is a pasta aficionado, she enjoys her pasta with brown butter only. She rates at highly five thumbs up!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💯
Looking forward to our next!
John Stenard
We had such an awesome time staying at the Roosevelt hotel but we would not return to this restaurant. The atmosphere was great as one would expect from being attached to the Roosevelt. The food once it arrived was really good. I had the lasagna and was very happy with it. We also tried the clam pizza which was unusual but a pleasant surprise. The problem was the poor attitude of the wait staff. Our waitress was not friendly and we had to ask her several times to fill up our waters and for bread. The food while it was good, took well over 1 hour to actually get to our table. Overall, we visited several other restaurants within 5 minutes of here which were more responsive and had equal or better food.
ATX Always
Absolutely delish! We had kids cheese pizza and that famous lasagna is SOOOO incredible (huge portion). The server was really sweet and attentive. I def recommend this spot.
That's what she said. Literally.
AMAZING! One of my favs in all of Nola (and that's saying alot!). 😅 Prompt, excellent service, clean, and the FOOD- the pizzas, cauliflower appetizer, many different pastas... 😌 Mm mmm! Every dish I've had has been delicious. I recommend this place to anyone that asks "What restaurant do I absolutely HAVE to try while in New Orleans?" ☺👍
craig davis
Roasted cauliflower and feta was surprisingly excellent. Recommended it highly
Matt Bailey
We stopped here on impulse for dinner and so glad we did. There was a bit of a wait so we just sat and ate at the bar. Lisa, our bartender, was very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely excellent. We loved that it had unique menu options and not just the same old recycled Italian options, so we were all forced (in a good way) to try something new. Pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices considering it’s connected to the Roosevelt. Also the portion sizes were great. We all agreed we will be back next time we visit New Orleans. Thanks, Domenica!
Sharon Ayalon
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend!
Brittany Flokstra
The food here is so amazing. I have never has a risotto with that depth of flavor, every bite was a new experience.
The white pizza was perfect and the roasted cauliflower was a great starter--do not miss the whipped feta!
The service was wonderful, too. They checked in frequently and paid attention to what we needed.
Brenda Thomson
Shared wine and chicken liver paté with the family as an afternoon snack. The paté is fantastic. Highly recommend. Service here is wonderful too. The staff is attentive and engaged.
James Clary
Great food. I have eaten here five or six times since 2015, an have enjoyed it every single time.
Pizza is great, wife likes the brysell sprout app (she eats here more often for work).
Jayne Kucharski
Started off with some drinks. We wish they had beer on draft but the wine was good. Some of the best red wine we’ve had. Focaccia and spicy house made olive oil were awesome.
Burrata arugula salad was memorable.
Shrimp appetizer was flavorful, creative, and good but only came with three shrimp...
White pizza and truffle pasta were both great.
Server seemed to be having a bad day but we were taken care of.
Would highly recommend! Neat atmosphere with good lighting. Worth the price.
rob
Gotta half off happy hour. 2 ice cold abitas and the prosciutto pizza for less then $20?
Staff was attentive , friendly and on point. Place was clean and, with the air temp outside over 100, the ac was a welcome respite.
Katie Padley
Great food and service. I had the squid ink pasta and it was delicious!
Cathy Thomas
I can't tell you how much I loved this place! Great wine list, most amazing appetizer selection. The charcuterie and the roasted cauliflower were my favorites. Veal chop cooked to perfection. Let's add that I have a serious food allergy and the kitchen and wait staff know exactly what they are doing. Don't miss it!
Amir Fayek
Get the cauliflower and truffle agnolotti. The cauliflower is tasty on its own and comes with a thick feta dip that should be served with all vegetables. The agnolotti is good even without the truffle. Margarita pizza is tasty and a nice Italian style pizza but nothing special. The smoked beet salad was ok. There was a little too much goat cheese that was creamier than usual.
Nantawan Dompraphagorn
The food was good,The place was nice,The service was great!
Gerald Raymond Jr
Excellent, top-notch food. Just try not to think about the sub-par service.
Theresa Dowden
Delicious pizzas, but the crust was burned to hell!... water is served without ice... apparently they do not have any ranch dressing in the restaurant what so ever (bc they're too up-scale for it, apparently)... VERY inattentive server that we often saw across the restaurant just chilling and laughing it up with other employees while we tried to flag him down and therefore had to have someone else serve us...
Person N Cary
Pizza was fantastic...wish I had ordered it....my daughter would only let me have 1 slice. I had the Bucatini...a bit disappointed as the pasta was too firm and the sauce a bit greasy feeling. Service started well, waited too long after we were finished with our meal.
E C
If they had cooked our pizza a little longer we would have given them a 5 star review, but it was still a little soft and floppy. I saw other people’s pizzas pass by that looked more cooked and almost burnt from then oven so we were a little surprised and disappointed. The flavor was great and the fried kale appetizer was unique and very tasty. The server was very friendly and we enjoyed the menu choices even though the small plate pasta we ordered seemed a little overworked with some burrata that did not really mix in well with the rest of the flavorful ramps dish. Overall happy but not in love.
Millie Hazell
The food was great. Large portions. The kale chips were amazing. Great service.
jacob lewis
Doug is a real profession, he's handsome, has large feet, great hair, killer personality, and is an all around 12/10 human being. He cooks, he manages, he's handsome I mean what's not to like this guy / place rules
Johnelle Duncan
I had a mad craving for a simple spaghetti and meatballs but didn't feel like cooking. I got that and the brussels sprouts. Both were absolutely divine! The spaghetti sauce had a hint of tang and a spicy bite that satisfied my craving perfectly. The brussels sprouts were amazing with just a bit of sweetness! Each bite made me a little happier!
Jose Martinez
Great looks, perfect place for any occasion, the food was delicious, the service super helpful but could be a little faster in the kitchen. Besides that 9/10
Billie Johnson
If you have Allergies or any food or dietary restrictions, ask for the service manager Courtney. You'll be in good hands. Thank you very much. We'll be back.
Stephen Manuel
Went here for happy hour. The waitress Darin did a great job, we were trying to decide between two different toppings and she told us ws could go split the toppings half and half. She also came by our table 5 min before happy hour was over to make sure we could get another round 1/2 off. Will be going back.
Sunni Keister
I waffled between 2 and 3 stars for this one. Our first experience here was definitely 5 stars all around. The service was spectacular, the food was amazing. But that was almost 3 years ago. Our most recent experience was not as pleasant. The bartender was the only reason we stayed, and his customer service is the only reason I gave this review the extra star. The hostess was disrespectful and dismissive. The food was good, although we did feel it has gone downhill since our last NOLA trip. We were both sorely disappointed. After having had such a great visit in '16, it was at the top of our list to go again. I hope they are able to regain what it seems they've lost.
Caleb Germeroth
This is a great place for dinner for everyone. The food was some of the best I've had in a while and the prices are very reasonable. I've paid much more for food that was not even close to as good. I had the squid ink pasta with crab and my wife and daughter shared the oxtail papperadelle. The depth of flavors on their's was amazing. We also had the roasted cauliflower appetizer and highly recommend that as well. Over all very impressed and we will definitely go back if we're in New Orleans again.
Angie King
Make reservations & request Cory as your waiter! He took the experience to the next level- so kind, so intuitive, and genuine! The food was delicious from start to finish (tho I wish they would have had a cream sauce dish on the menu)!
Jasmine Noel
We came here for my birthday and had a very lovely time. The happy hour deals were great-half priced pizza?? Who can beat that!!?- and the wine selection was quite large. It seems a bit upscale when walking in, but the prices are quite affordable and the food is divine. Don’t skip out on the cheese plates!!
Sarah Dugas
Had a great time with my girls at the bar! Plus we got to chow down on a massive and delicious charcuterie board. YUM!
J Fraedrick
WE LOVED THIS PLACE! Happened to get there right at the start of happy hour. The half priced pizzas would have been enough for us, but the half price beer and wine was even better. Try the clam pizza. You wouldn't think that it would be as amazing as it really is. Our server Jordan was cordial, professional, and attentive. At the end of the meal he brought out these amazing little chocolate cookies that the girlfriend and I thought were fantastic. Actually, this was our favorite meal of the entire trip. To be honest we went back hours later for dessert and port. The lovely bar staff were great and even let me sample a bit of the port before we bought some... and then they brought more of those amazing little chocolate cookies! I'm a bit shamed to say we even asked for more. They are like tiny addictive chocolate crack bites. I'd kill for the recipe.
Luis Molina
The Squid ink Tagliolini was excellent! ! The service was average and the price was ok for the dish. (2nd visit 5 years later) ordered the taglioni again and it was still amazing! I'm so glad the quality hasn't changed. Enjoyed my visit very much.
Omar Leos
We love this place. The charcuterie board is amazing. We finish it every time we go. I’ll always come back.
Crysta Gibson
This place was very upper eschelon...bar staff was helpful and knowledgable about the menu...the ambience was everything
snathanm427
Went here once for Valentine's Day, enjoyed it then too. This time came back for the Pizza. The pork pizza is delicious. We had that and a couple drinks from the bar and to round it all out, shared the cheesecake. The staff is skilled, friendly and attentive. There is great food on this menu that makes it to your table.

I’m so unbelievably impressed by Domenica. I have never had a better Lasagna in my entire life. It was a very unique take on it that left me grateful it was a big portion so I could eat my leftovers later.
The service was fantastic. The Sangria and the Sour was stellar. The Charcuterie board was phenomenal. I just can’t say enough good things about this place.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been blown away by a restaurant but Domenica was like a CAT 5 Hurricane swooping through my Foodie life.
Evan Wheelis
Great location for authentic high-end Italian fare
Jeff James
This place is consistently good. Happy hour is 3-5 daily (weekends too) - half price pizza and wine - outstanding selection of Italian wines (they're as much fun to try to pronounce as drink sometimes). One of those nola places you can brings folks to satisfy anyone's taste.
Roger Smith
This was a great choice. Reasonable prices and a great selection on the menu for everyone in our party. Service was a bit slow, so goes it a four star instead of five. The food was outstanding. Kale was exceptional, so was the okra, so was the cauliflower.
Just came back for the fifth or sixth time, food is fantastic, service really needs to be addressed.
Zach Holly
Delicious! Service and food were good. The lasagna was so cheesy and tasty. It would definitely be ordered again.
Alyssa Carter
Great service, we arrived way ahead for reservation, the hostess was very accommodating and found us a nice table. Their pasta selections are excellent, we ordered the bucatini and it was the best we ever had. When you have eaten at all the famous restaurants, Domenica provides a very nice change of pace from all the traditional New Orleans food
Bert Rowland
All of the pastas we tried were great. The starters were not memorable. The pizza was very large with a less than great crust but good toppings. Good but pricey wine list. Service was fine. A bit pricey for what is served.
Joseph Madrid
Food was great, our server wasn't very hospitable however. A real shame, given the ambiance and quality of the food. Definitely start out with the roasted Cauliflower, and fried Kale! The gulf fish was with charred broccolini and celery root was delicious. Very flavorful and well balanced.
LG Hagins
We had the cauliflower appetizer with goat cheese, squid ink pasta, pizza, and dessert. Everything tasted great. The pizza was alright. I prefer NY style greasy pizza but Domenica pizza wasn’t bad. Our server Sarah was awesome! Oh and go during happy hour.... 2 Bellinis and I was feeling real good.
Stacy T.
We stumbled upon Domenica during our recent visit to New Orleans and we’re so happy we did! We had the Compastella Farm Greens to start, the Truffle Agnolotti and Culurgiones as our main course, and the Banana Zuppa Inglese for dessert! Every dish was fantastic!
The hostess was very friendly and able to get us seated without a reservation; however, our server seemed disengaged with our table and when asking for recommendations simply pointed to the menu and read down the pasta list (the same happened when we asked about dessert). Overall, the food made up for it and we will definitely be back next time we visit!
Phil Melita
My wife picked this place on a whim, as it was within walking distance of our hotel. We were craving Italian after a week of French and Cajun, so this looked like a good bet. An hour and a half later, we finished the absolute best meal we have ever had. We sat at the bar (and received excellent service): nothing fancy, no gastronomic fireworks, simply the most amazing lasagna this Italian-American has ever been privileged to consume. We can’t say enough, and that says it all.
Avon “Ms B” Beacham-Byrd
Excellent food and service! Happy hour offers half off drinks and pizza!!!
David Trujillo
We just flew into town and we wanted a good Restraunt to have our first dinner at! We hit a Home Run going to Domenica's. The service was amazing and so much fun. Our waiter was spot on and always very happy. The food was amazing! We shared the Lasagna, Pizza, Squid Pasta, Risotto, and Rabbit dish. Oh my all of the dishes were amazing! We will come back here again.
Mark Schneider
Service was the best. Roasted cauliflower is a must.
Ana Caroline Paiva Gandara
Excellent pizza and service. Beautiful place. I'd like to come back there and try the other plates. You can see a guy cutting the meats and cheeses. If you arrive at the happy hour, you're lucky and try different wines in the glass.
Lou Manning
Great place. My wife got the rigatoni and I actually got the short ribs and they were tender and delicious. The pizzas I saw looked nice and lightly burnt like they're cooked in a wood fire oven. I recommend the gelato with espresso poured over it for dessert.
Keri Kidd
Came for Happy Hour and it was a great deal! Half off beer, wine and pizza (including cans and bottles). We had the clam and pork pizzas. Both were excellent. Will definitely come again the next time I am in New Orleans
Anuj Sharma
Went here over Thanksgiving, our server was very nice and realized we had 4 kids in our party and was very accommodating. The food on the other hand was decent for the rest in my group. My particular order was less than satisfying, it was the chicken cooked in duck fat but portion was small and not even white meat. I felt it tasted OK but left hungry after paying over $23 for the dish, disappointing!!
Chris Mowrer
What a wonderful restaurant! Between the great ambiance, the fantastic food (the Roasted Cauliflower and the Smoked Beet Salad are to die for) & drinks (I loved the Mezcal; my wife loved the Lemon Drops), and the helpful, personable, and knowledgeable staff, Domenica was truly the highlight of our New Orleans trip (we went at least 4 or 5 times)! We're definitely returning soon! Just loved it there!
Kathryn Hagerty
Delicious pizza. Roasted cauliflower comes out as a whole head of cauliflower - it's very impressive, but a little underseasoned. The whipped feta it comes with is tasty though. Good selection and prices on drinks. Popular spot - I'd recommend reservations.
Matthew Helget
This is a mediocre Italian spot. Lasagna is meh, rigatoni is meh, the meatballs were okay. The only thing worth coming back for would be the squid ink pasta, if you are into that sort of thing. Our service was also mediocre. In a town like New Orleans with great restaurants everywhere, Domenica gave me little reason to come back.
bob builder
Great ambience and a solid experience!
The pizza was great and the lasagna was delicious, at pretty affordable prices. The atmosphere was calming, and the chandeliers gave off a great vibe.
Mai Lion
Located in the Roosevelt Hotel this is one of the best Italian restaurants in New Orleans with great pizza and inventive pasta. You can’t miss this one when traveling here.
Greg F
It was an enjoyable evening with good food and great company
carmella moore
What a great experience. Our waitress Derin was amazing. Derin took the time to give us great recommendations and explain everything that was in our dishes. You can tell she really enjoys what she does. The food was excellent as well. The squid ink pasta was very light and simple but had such great flavor. The Gulf Acqua Pazza was nicely prepared bold and so flavorful . The chefs obviously love what they do, because it is reflected in the dishes they create and serve .
Roz went above and to make my birthday very memorable!
Thank you Domenica for a memorable dining experience.
Lourdes Wolf
We had a wonderful dinner. I have been to Pizza Domenica and was excited to try Domenica. The restaurant was a short walk from our Air BnB. Our order took longer than expected and to apologize the chef sent out the most amazing cheese crawfish dumplings. We devoured everything which is easy to do with 2 teenage boys, the white and roasted pork pizza were crispy and we didn’t leave a crumb. The meatballs were so tender and full of flavor. We also shared a large order of the Bucatini (delicious and the little bites of pork were cooked perfectly). The manager and server informed us that the chef wanted to shower us with dessert. The chef brought out the desserts and explained each dish. Mascarpone gelato!! Banana cake with peanut brittle! Lemon basil cake with strawberries!! Thick Hazelnut chocolate mousse with chocolate bark!!
If we didn’t have to head home today we would be eating at Domenica again tonight.
Ryan Hicks
Awesome place and food! You have to get the roasted cauliflower appetizer to start out. It comes with sea salt & whipped feta. It's so good. Service here is good, beer selection is good, and the pizza is solid. If I'm ever back in NOLA this will be on my list to visit again. It's a little on the pricey side for a casual lunch, but a solid food spot in NOLA.
Kim Robinson
They have a happy hour which not only includes drinks, but their pizza is half price. So for about $9, you can have a delicious wood fired pizza. Enough for 2.
Megan Peake
UPDATE: In response to my first review, I wrote to the contact provided below with further details as requested and never received a response.
]Service here has been consistently bad/slow. Granted I usually come in for happy hour but the last few times the servers have really made us aware happy hour customers sitting at their tables are not a priority, despite the restaurant being pretty empty at the time (which I thought was the goal of happy hours- to provide a little revenue during the slow hours). Pizza, drink selection, and prices are great though so I can't give less than 3 stars.
Di Fawn
It’s our go to place for pizza, drinks and desserts. They’re always friendly and the service is great.
m r
Food was absolutely amazing, I really recommend the appetizers. Fresh, yummy and a fun way to try lots. The service was a little iffy though. The servers were VERY nice, but it was the end of the night and they were doing side work, so they weren’t as on top of us.
Sarah Bollard
Cozy romantic space, seems great for a date night. A little overpriced for the portions but delicious food!
Nadejda Damian
Just simply loved this place. We went there for December 31st and had an amazing time from the moment we were greeted by the lovely european hostess. She had us seated and the server was super nice (did not get her name)
Next day we went there for dinner again and met Anne - sweet person and very friendly and professional- love to go to restaurants where people know their job and love what they do.
Paul A. Bennett
We timed our arrival for a concert along with the Happy Hour to Domenica, as we were told it is the best deal in New Orleans. We ordered drinks, a variety of pizzas, a sampler platter of meats and cheeses, and a few appetizers. The service was decent (the server seemed impatient even though it was not busy), the pizza was edible (but not overly tasteful), and the appetizers were what they were. I was expecting a bit more pizazz and I felt it was a bit lackluster and not very unique. It was certainly not a bad experience, but between the "fancy" price and not being impressed by much of anything, other than the Roosevelt Hotel it is in, I was "happy" I paid Happy Hour prices and not full price. Sorry, but you did not quite earn my 5 stars Mr. Besh. Perhaps, I need to try your other establishments?
Matt Ivester
Cauliflower was amazing. So was the four cheese pizza. Highly recommend this place!!!
Tamara Raseta
Nice ambience, great service and mouth watering smoked duck ravioli as well as truffle/ricota agneloti. House made pasta, a big plus! Cauliflower app with mix cheese spread was delicious.
Lex Lauher
My bias for traditional values causes me to rate Domenica low, while yes it is a fine restaurant I find the food, service and atmosphere OK for the price.
I could have been wowwed by the over the top modern lighting, funural shique veils and rustic decor and deliciously smoked swordfish drizzled in a balsamic glaze but I found the seating rather uncomfortable.
The contemporary Italian cuisine was imaginative, creative and beautiful however it all seemed to fall short of expectation with a subsequent restless night due to heart burn.
The overall unauthentic vibe was set in my mind from the moment i sat to the moment I left capped with the manager who pulled back the curtain a little to far in his communications with the table/ underwhelming service.
Craig
This place never fails. The food and service is absolutely amazing. Very well run and unique dishes mixed in with your more usual Italian dishes. They also have another restaurant that is mainly pizza on Magazine.
Bryce Pielage
The overall environment of the restaurant is very pleasant to be in.
The food was fantastic, and their desserts also really great.
It would have been a five-star experience, except our server seemed to act like she didn't want us to be there, which unfortunately lessened the experience.
Laura Davis
The pizza is ok, but I would stay away from the pasta, unless you are adventurous. There are very few descriptions, so our assumptions about what would be served based on general knowledge of Italian food were wrong. The pizza crust was crispy on the edges, but soggy in the middle. Three of the four of our table ordered pasta, and none were as expected. We ordered a pizza for the table to try and it was the best thing we had.
Sara Bradley
It was a busy Saturday dinner, and we were a high maintenance table with kids. The servers were great and accommodated every request quickly. The food was great as always. I know some places are struggling with staffing. Domenica is on point.
Stanley McCaslin
You will need a reservation weekends. Mostly pasta and pizza, but prepared and served in high-end restaurant fashion.
Tabitha Richardson
My friends and i had a reservation at this place before seeing a play, and it was amazing! Not only was the food delicious(we showed up during happy hour unintentionally and got half price pizza), but our server James B was amazing as well. He definitely went the extra mile when the four college students he waited on(us) asked him to split the $23 bill four ways and complied with no hesitation. Will definitely be eating here again!
daniella benitez
Bread was not very tasty at all. My husband had the lasagna and (like all his dishes, so did I) it was delicious. I had the aqua pazza. I think if you like that kind of thing it's delicious too. However, it was not appealing to me. Shrimps had heads still on, yuck! Waiter was nice, friendly, helpful. Bathrooms are not convenient. Was OK but if I come back to Nola I will be passing, wait was inconvenient for the food and price.
Leilari Tirado
The water was warmer than room temperature and the bread was stiff as cardboard. The pizza we ordered however was good and the wine selection decent. The service was TERRIBLE! The wait from the time we were seated to the time we were greeted by our server was unacceptable. When we got back to our hotel we realized the server only put half of our leftovers into the to go box. If you're willing to sacrifice customer service for ok food then this is the place for you.
Thomas Cassidy
Nice modern decor. Got the Meatball appetizer and the polenta the meatballs came on was out of this world, outshone the meatballs. Salad was too salty (-1 star). Rabbit ragu pasta was fabulous. Hanger steak was fantastic. Gianduja Budino (Italian pudding topped with chocolate hazelnut bark) dessert was to die for. Our server Nikki was great. Less salt on the salad would have given them solid 5 Stars.
Sam Sells
Wonderful atmosphere our server Todd was excellent. Gave great recommendations and explained the menu in detail. Had the squid ink pasta and it was absolutely amazing. Wonderful taste! Will go back!
Sherri Davis
First time visiting New Orleans and this restaurant was recommended to us. It's located in a fancy hotel that seemed a little bit stuffy at first. To my surprise the wait staff was fabulous, and the food was amazing! To make the experience even better pizza is half price during happy hour! My clam pizza was delicious and 10 dollars...can't beat that with a stick. Thank you so much for the great experience and lesson learned... Never Judge a Book By Its Cover
Keith Peterson
Awesome food and a really fun staff.
Bert Jansmann
I just had a wonderful experience and great food. I'm in New Orleans alone on business and wanted a good, non-seafood meal. I popped in and was greeted warmly, seated immediately, and served promptly without feeling rushed. The server was attentive without being pushy and my food was heavenly. I couldn't have asked for more.
New Life Builders LLC
Loved our stay, the staff was awesome.
Teri Gehring
We had a very nice time at Domenica. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. 😊
Juan Sanchez
Casual place with a good atmosphere. Staff was attentive and nice twist on italian classics.
Eric Rhodes
Delicious food for all occasions. Whether you seek wild chanterelle pizza or lasagna, you can't go wrong with this choice. Quality ingredients, atmosphere, staff all blend together to create a great evening.
Christina Van Zandt
Service was wonderful, friendly and prompt. Margherita pizza had a LOT of charred flour on the bottom (left grey powder all over my lap and my face!) Tagliatelle was cooked al dente, and rabbit was tender and flavorful but the sauce was over-reduced. Tasted like straight demi-glace. When I told server, she was gracious and apologized. Not a bad experience but food was disappointing. Tiramisu itself tasted fine, a bit weird with the toasted meringue swoosh. Beautiful decor.
Sean Driscoll
Very good food, great service in a bustling atmosphere
Laura Comstock
Food was absolutely amazing. Beautiful restaurant and the staff was awesome! Highly recommend.
Emily Rawls
LOVED this restaurant. We went for Happy Hour as our first meal of our trip to New Orleans. We each had two cocktails and split the MOST delicious pizza and our tab was $28. Fine quality food, great location, great scenery and great prices. Will definitely visit again!
Jess B
My husband and I were in New Orleans for a week long vacation. We went to Domenica for lunch one day and everything was excellent. Great food, awesome prices for happy hour, and most importantly, top notch service. Our waiter, Jordan, was so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it so much we went back a few days later. This time it was a completely different experience. We ordered 2 pizzas along with very simple drinks: beer and a glass of wine. It was not very busy and after about 10-15 mins we still didn't have our drinks. My husband asked and the waitress just said "yep" and walked off. Clearly she had forgotten but wasn't even polite enough to apologize for the mistake. Another server brought the drinks and we got our food almost immediately after. Needless to say, not a positive experience, and we tipped appropriately. The waitress' name was Andrea in case you want to ask for someone else when you go. I will say the food was delicious both times.
kitkat katai
Our waitress *Lady An* was amazing! She was super helpful and really made us excited for the food we ordered! She helped us a lot with the drinks as well! She was very knowledgeable and attentive! The food was incredible and I cant wait for our next experience!
R M
Best Italian food in NOLA. You won't regret ordering via Uber or dining at Domenica. Love their lasagna, truffle agnolotti, and desserts!
Maria Wickstrom
Excellent and attentive service and the food top notch. We loved the rabbit ragu with tagliatelle, seared red snapper and smoked beet salad. Everything was perfect!
J Hoth
We loved his restaurant!!! I want to fly back to New Orleans just to eat here again. After eating several fish dinners, we wanted something different. We had the lasagna and the campanelle dish and hands down, this was the best Italian food I've ever had. They even infused their lasagna noodles with parsley!!! To top it off they have a great wine list, their bread is amazing, the ambiance is romantic, and it's in The Roosevelt Hotel which is beautiful. You won't be disappointed eating here.
James Santos
Trendy and unique interior as soon as you walk in. The bar is warm and inviting with a fresh display of cured meats. They have a great happy hour with specials on beer and wine as well as half priced pizzas. This is the time to come and try all of their specialty pizzas! You can even do half and half pizzas to give you more chance to try it all. The menu boasts a full list of classic Italian dishes, meats, and cheese. Come for a quick bite during happy hour or enjoy a very nice date night.
Lisa Blackwell
I came here with a friend for happy hour. We had two different pizzas and about eight different wines, so I don't remember anything but a great time! Ha. Everything was delicious, and the happy hour prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and spotless.
james singleton
I always enjoy any pizza here at Domenica.
Dan Collins
Great atmosphere. Food is good to. My rating is for the disappointment that came when the check arrived. A 6 ounce serving of sprite was $3. And then charged another $3 for a second glass. Really guys? Shame on you.
Robert Schneider
A great expereince starts when you walk through the door. The staff at this restaurant did everything possible to make our evening special.
If the service rated a 10, the meal made the evening even more memorable. Everything we had was excellent. We weren’t rushed or pushed during the start of the most busy season in New Orleans. Really pleased to dine there and will return.
sylvia stripling
DOMENICA is a very delicious Italian restaurant. It is contemporary, not old school Italian. Consequently, it attracts a younger clientele. But it is consistently delicious. Wonderful wine selection. The entire menu is unforgettable. Very crowded any time day or night. Make reservations well in advance.
Bill Baker
Happy Hour makes us happy. We have been going here for years on our annual trips to New Orleans and it has changes a little every year but it is still worth a visit, if only for the salami.
Mohit Goenka
We came to the Domenica restaurant at the Roosevelt hotel location. The food was amazing. Our server, Celena, was amazing. Not only did she gave amazing recommendations for the food but she also gave us great ideas to go to places around in the city. The pizzas were great and so were the pastas. The Chocolate Hazlenet Pudding was also very tasty.
Bill Robinson
We had pizzas. Wife had lamb sausage and cheese, I had Tutto Carme. Both were fantastic.
They had pizza on happy hour, with beer wine and certain cocktails.
We also had cappuccino after dinner.
Service was on point.
Regular prices a little high.
Mela
Fantastic food and service. The squid ink pasta, clam pizza and lasagne were out of this world. The kale and the carpaccio appetizer were fantastic. I have eaten at 100 places in NOLA and this has made my top 10 list.
Jana Boykin
The Brussel sprouts were good but the pizza was kinda floppy so it was ok. Service is good and the lasagna is good.
Jenn Schmidt
Hostesses we nice, we were trying 5o order to go pizza and have a drink at the bar. Seemed to be some confusion in that process. The bartenders were rude, and couldn't recommend a vermouth, just kept point to the menu and saying they were on the menu. They were put off we wanted to order pizza to go. Pizza was great.
Edward Genovese
Domenica is awesome. I come eat here every time I visit New Orleans. They have a great happy hour from 2-6 every day. Pizzas, beer, wine by the glass and some cocktails are all half off. Make a reservation a few days ahead of time to make sure you get in.
Tom Andry
Came in just before closing and sat in the bar. Ordered an app and a couple of drinks. Great on both counts and we were made to feel welcome even though we were late. Will return
Jacee Carter
So good! We picked this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, and it was a great choice for dinner! For an appetizer we had two cheese options and a meat platter which was good, but I actually liked the oil and bread that came out along with itmore because the oil had a little bit of spicy aftertaste. I ordered the small portion of the bucatini which came out with the most delicious sauce and homemade pasta.
We’re only here for a few days, but definitely going back for brunch this trip
Katharine Faust
I only ever come for happy hour. Pizzas are great! Don't expect them to be NY style however, they are artisan style pizzas. Looking for NY style pizza? Try Mid City Pizza or Pizza Delicious. Service is average. It takes some time for them to get to your table sometimes but we usually order at their greeting. The hostesses. really don't seem to like greeting people when you walk in.
bailey graffagnini
Awesome food, great location, nice staff, great portion sizes, good dining options
Tim W
Great food, especially liked the brussel sprouts.
Karam Dallow
Outstanding!!
The atmosphere is lively and yet still cozy and comfy. The food is great, familiar items like pizza and pasta but with unique tastes and flavors. Overall, a distinctive and very interesting experiences.
Gillmore Medical Dental
There is a fun, upbeat vibe in this great New Orleans restaurant. The staff was very accommodating with changing ingredients on the pizzas. The service and food was amazing. We were here over New Year's and again the staff accommodated our need to change reservation times. Great place to eat.
Tory Skyers
Great place. Flatbreads are awesome as well as their selection of cheeses and tapas. They had a great selection of cocktails and their bartending staff was attentive and very good. We had a number of unique cocktails there over 2 or 3 days and they were all great.
Lloyd Heard
Went for a company dinner, and sat in private dining. Food was really good, and staff was amazing.
The cauliflower was amazing as was the chicken. Neighbor raved about the redfish, and the banana pudding in a jar (no matter what they call it, that is what it is) was a perfect ending.
Allan McCrea
Make a reservation as this restaurant is very popular. There is a reason why the food and pizza are delicious, probably the best in New Orleans. The service is great, they are ok with changes to the pizza and modification to the menu based on dietary needs. Absolutely great spot to eat!
Patrick Hayes
Stumbled across this one on our first night in NOLA. Great food and dining room. Knowledgeable staff and not as expensive as the location and decor might imply.
Nice NYC inspired thin crust pizza, likely wood fired oven. Impressive wine selection.
Downside, restroom is a block away, seriously. Enter on Barrone Street, cross Roosevelt Hotel lobby near the Roosevelt Lane doors for the Men's Room.
Will visit again next trip.
Martha Wiggins
Best happy hour deal in the city, hands down. Happy hour aside is still one of my favorite restaurants in the city, pizza, pasta and charcuterie are my go to and they have consistently knocked it out the park for years. Also an extensive list of delicious wines by the glass which allows to try new things, made even sweeter during happy hour and you're not stuck with the typical choices, of 1 white, red or rose. Love me some domenica
Jimmy NuTrax
Peggy was very attentive and friendly, as the rest of the staff appeared to be. She guided us to some real nice Italian wines and some super good pizzas. We definitely plan on making every Monday happy hour at Domenica and bringing friends along.
Bridgett Jorgensen
Recently went to a private dinner held here (guest of a financial company and in a a group of 20 people)- and it was phenomenal! Appetizers thru dessert, with each course better that the one previous. Sharing was encouraged, so tried 3 appetizers, a salad, 2 entrees and 3 desserts. Truly one of the best meals of my life!
Allen Boyd
I could have sat here all night, but I had to leave at some point. The bread is tasty. Sulami y fromagge is excellent. The pasta is devine, and the lasagna was very good. Small, but good wine selection.
Jesus Rodriguez
Too many bar squatters, visiting patrons are barred by reservations forecasted by more than an hour. Service can be spotty. Otherwise a decent pizza happy hour with great dishes. Cauliflower is a 3+ appetizer but should not be missed!
Heather Elroy
It was ridiculously expensive and had poor artwork on the walls, but otherwise was a decent aesthetic. Black walls and exposed bulbs...I had the Margherita Pizza which was surprisingly delicious, but didn't have a lot to offer substance wise, so I scarfed the whole, huge thing down. The bread they give you before your meal is really good, too, if a bit cold. When I asked for salt, they gave it to me in a small dish and I had to pinch and sprinkle it, very unevenly, all over my pizza. Would it kill you to buy some salt shakers? I'm just saying....
But otherwise it was okay.
Lauren S
I haven't been to Dominica since it opened and I was looking for something different for a change. We started out with the crispy oysters, arancici and the brussel sprouts. I liked all the dishes, although there were mixed reviews by the others at the table. One person felt the oysters were bland and needed a sauce with more flavor. I thought the arancici could have used more cheese. The kitchen lost our ticket and it took 45 minutes to get appetizers. I had the truffle pasta which was excellent. The other two entree's were good also.....squid ink crab pasta and buccatini with a red sauce. All good. They comped the dessert since we waited so long and the budino was wonderful. Creamy, rich and a crunchy topping of hazelnuts and chocolate. Will go back to try some of the other dishes.
Alon Bar
This place is worth flying to. Even if you are coming from a foreign country. Amazing food in a very classy way. Service was one of the best I got. I’ll be back for sure.
Goar Mestre
Great place to visit and eat some great italian food. The pepper infused olive oil combined with the warm crispy bread was a great welcome. Service was great. The cauliflower was excellent and the short ribs tender and tasty although way over on the garlic. The polenta was creamy and tasty too. Price is in the mid range. Great experience.
Piyush Saini
Great dining with lovely ambience and great pizza. Would recommend it.
Karie Fugett
Both the food and service were fantastic. I was dressed casually, in jeans, a black top, and black Tevas. It was not an issue. Dined alone. Also not an issue. Had the beet salad appetizer, the eggplant pasta, and a blood orange bellini with a cheesecake to go. All of it was delicious. I hear the cauliflower is really popular. I can't speak for it, but I highly recommend the beet salad instead. It's hard to choose a favorite part of the meal, but if I had to it would probably be that. I will definitely come back when I'm in town again.
Blake Brooks
Domenica is a great spot to enjoy traditional Italian food. Everything is home made that come out the kitchen. Some of the best craft cocktails in New Orleans also with a vast selection of Italian wines. Also, the best happy hour you can get in the CBD!
Steve Castellion
Love this place. Great decor and staff. Haven't had anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. We've even done the pizza in a pinch, late at night and that was fabulous and well!
Donna Sanders
The food and placing the order wasn't the problem, it was awesome. But, it was noisy due to being so busy. And, for the small portions, it took way too long to be served.
Daniela Radpay
My favorite place in New Orleans! We ate here 4 years ago, and it made such an impression that we had to come back on our next visit to NOLA. Their daily happy hour is awesome, the pizza is FANTASTIC and so flavorful (try the eggplant pizza), and their chocolate espresso cookies are a dream. Do not miss this place!
Louis Altazin
Great atmosphere, great food. For those of you who know what Tagliatelle is, highly recommend it. Our server Cory was superb. House red was perfect. I highly recommend the experience.
Juliana
Hands down one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Annie treated my family and I like royalty! My mom took me here for my 21st birthday where she really wanted me to have my first glass of wine. I went in thinking I wouldn’t order one because I’ve never liked the taste or know much about the wine world. However, when I explained this to Annie she went above and beyond to find something that I would like.
Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious. The squid ink tagliolini is to die for!! I will definitely return when i’m in town.
Sabrina L
Very nice place with reasonable to expensive pricing. We had an awesome waiter who made the experience even better. Their specialty drinks are to die for, and I highly recommend their lamb meatballs! They also have a great happy hour deal! Highly recommend.
Benjamin Kim
Food was great and waitress was tentative. Table of 6 had very enjoyable time experiencing each others dishes. Food came out fast but portion was a little smaller then I would have liked. The rabbit pasta was very tasteful and would recommend.
Euan Cameron
Excellent quality food, though it can be quite rich so choose well. Delightful ambience and wasn't too busy even on a Friday evening.
Patricia Gaddis
This was our Christmas Eve Happy Hour choice, we were very pleased. We ordered the smoked beets served on a bed of arugula, as our appetizer, seriously one of the most amazing things I have ever eaten! We also ordered 4 different pizzas to try, and we're pleased to be informed we could do "half and half",so instead of 4 whole pizzas, we were able to get 3, plenty for 3 people!!! We tried the clam pizza, the tutto carne, the lamb sausage, and the roasted pork. Each had things to like, but we ended up ranking our favorites this way, first the lamb sausage, second the tutto carne, third the roasted pork, and fourth the clam. All were excellent, my only real criticism would be the dough,a bit bland for my liking, but all in all a great experience.
Julia
Service was delightful, and we were very impressed with the quality of the food. It was delicious, and they have great deals for appetizers, especially if you're with a larger group. I would definitely recommend Domenica!
Yvonne Williams
This was my favorite place to eat during this trip to New Orleans. They have a friend kale dish that is just excellent. I HATE kale, and I loved this dish. The food is served family-style and the ambiance is that of a family dinner in Italy on any given Sunday.

Domenica is one of the italian restaurant in New Orleans. The atmosphere is very nice and service is also very good. They update their menü regularly, its very good. Foods are delicious. The only negative I can say is that the environment is a bit noisy and the price is high.
Before visit Domenica, dont forget to make a reservation.

Amazing, fresh, unique food, and wonderful, graceful service. This out if town family enjoyed a great lunch. I don't even like Italian food or fancy restaurants, but I will be back to this fine establishment. We even got a free/promotional chocolate cookie to finish our meal; and I need that cookie recipe, so delicious!

Wow, this place is gorgeous!
I’m always coming back and the service is just really nice.
I’m in love with the peach bellinis! :)
A forever favorite for sure!

I recently dined at this restaurant based on recommendations I got from friends. I was thoroughly pleased with the meal. The soups and salads were awesome...especially the chilled tomato soup. It was exactly what one would want during the hot summer afternoons. I wish the pizza would have been more crispy, but the flavors were still phenomenal. Our server was great too. She really knew the menu and was attentive. The only NEGATIVE I experienced was at the front of the house. Why pay a hostess if a sign saying "Seat Yourself" would be more friendly? The girl was AWFUL. She didn't even speak to us. I asked for a table for 4, and she took the wine menu and walked off. I assumed that meant to follow her, and she tossed the list on the table while walking off. She didn't even check to see if we were following her. She seemed angry that guests were coming into the restaurant. I made a point to ask for her name from one of the other employees...Kate. Besides having to avoid her, I'd definitely go back...maybe try sitting at the bar just in an attempt to not have the front of the house ruin my mood.

The food here was really great and the menu was very reasonably priced. Their apps were great and their pizza's were exceptional. The short ribs were some of the best I ever had. The desserts were just as tasty and were presented beautifully. Service was great and they were very helpful in guiding us throw the meal.

During happy hour, this place is fantastic. Great prices on pizzas, wine and beer (half off!). Otherwise, it's a little expensive for my taste. 10 dollars and up for appetizers and 12 and up for most entrees. Very good pizza. Will be coming again!

Tonight we enjoyed a wine pairing from Tuscany. Food was delicious as always and the wine bold and flavorful. It was family-style seating, a nice way to meet and chat with other locals with similar interests!

This is where you'll fine the world's best hospitality. Bernard took great care of my friends and I. Even made sure the vegan friend was taken care of. The quality of service and food was most definitely magnificent.
I come down to New Orleans periodically, so I will definitely stop by everytime I'm in town.

We decided to take a charcuterie board tour of New Orleans and this place made the list. There's so much to like here. The charcuterie was super great, heck they cure their own meats. I had the best negroni (if I can't be cool, I can drink cool). Service is excellent. Man, like I said, so much to love here. Now if you can just find a way to mute the hotel restaurant vibe - this place would kill it! P.S. Check out the Jesuit church across the street!

Fantastic restaurant! The food was delicious. It was my first time eating there, and the staff was super friendly. Outstanding service from Brandon who made great suggestions and even gave us complimentary desserts for my birthday!

Great food and good atmosphere. We had the Tutto Carne pizza to start. The crust was very crispy, but the top was still moist. The restaurant was crowded, however, almost every table had a pizza, enough said. We also had the Arancini to start. Crispy outside, but moist and cheesy inside. I would recommend having it with the spicy marinara instead of the salsa verde it normally comes with. For our main courses we had the Lasagna, Rigatoni, Ceppo (slow cooked rabbit), and Squid Ink Tagliolini. All the courses with were really tasty, however, I would advise only foodies get the rabbit. I would have given it 5 stars, but our server wasn't very attentive, so only 4 fours. Good place overall.
