The 2 of us were curious about Yaka Mein soup and heard this place had some of the best in NOLA. When we saw how low the prices were we figured we'd better get some other dishes to make for a full dinner. We ordered one beef Yaka Mein and one shrimp Yaka Mein. Also got an order of gumbo and a small order of chicken wings. We were stunned how large the quantities were and impressed with how good the quality. The beef Yaka Mein was easily enough for two and, combined with the gumbo, we were plenty full. We saved the shrimp Yaka Mein for the next day and ate the the wings then, too. As you can see in the photos, the Yaka Mein was absolutely loaded with shrimp. Great food at a great price!

We went because it's the only place we could find that sells crawfish out of season. It's run down and in a sketchy part of town. There's no seating, and it feels cluttered. If you just want fast seafood, and you're willing to stop in for a minute to get it, the atmosphere doesn't matter that much. The crawfish were delicious, as were the potatoes.

Traveling from out of town so far this was the best we have had in the state of Louisiana. They had turkey necks pig feet fried turkey. We got smoked sausage boiled shrimp fried catfish fried shrimp salad and shrimp fried rice. Everything we had was good. I will definitely be back one day. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars is because you can't eat inside anymore. I understand why. But bummer we had to eat in the car.

Serves some very good New Orlean seafood, ranging from crawfish, to boiled shrimp and crabs. The crawfish was flavorful and each bite was full of New Orlean spices. The shrimps were huge and a pound was more than enough for a full meal. Take out only, did not see a place to sit. The restaurant location was sketchy. I would not go there at night. Prices were good, market rate for crawfish was $6.99 a pound. Shrimp was $9.99 a pound Going during the day, I definitely would repeat. I took my food to the City Park and got some Cafe du Mond beignets for dessert.

OMG! The line was almost to the door and it was a good distance from the door to the register. This place sells cooked as well as fresh seafood. My family and I went for the fresh seafood and it was DELICIOUS!! shrimp, crab legs, bolied potatoes, corn...all so good! Seasoned and cooked perfect! Neighborhood may intimidate some people, but this place was seafood heaven!

This was a great place to get some fresh, authentic cajun seafood. It is just a go in and order and take it with you kind of place. A hole in the wall with fantastic food, service was friendly and all food was hot and tasty. I got the gumbo and the amount of crab in it was down right crazy. It was very good also. Husband got a fried oyster Po Boy, cajun fries and egg rolls. The Po Boy was huge and had lots of oysters on it. The cajun fries were hot and seasoned well, we about finished them off on our drive back to where we were staying. We both loved our food and the prices were great.

Cajuns in Uptown will sometimes have a labyrinth of a line and it be well worth the wait. The prices have been going up and not sure if thats due to a lot of them accepting EBT and Snap benefits or normal cost of living increase.

Hmmm! To put it mildly, this is a local fare haven. The kinda place you second guess upon arrival, but are so glad that you came. This is NOT a eat-in place. You order at the counter, boil food on one side, fried food on the other side, and a small fresh seafood market to the far right. The boiled food section had shrimp, snow crab, Dungeness crab, pig feet, sausage, corn, and potatoes. There was an Asian delight section, featuring fried rice, shrimp and brocolli, and sweet and sour chicken( or something similar). There was a vast poboys section on the fried side. Ooops, I forgot to mention the best thing of all...shrimp pasta. OMG it was sinfully, delicious. AMAZING, just amazing. The food was reasonable priced...on the low end. You get a lot of bang for your buck. There is parking, but be careful and avoid the long parking spots that warrant double parking, you don't want to get blocked in. It's a place, I recommend getting in and getting out!!!! The sandwichs in the pics a re shrimp and fried fish on bun, dressed. No pics of the pasta.. we ate it in the car like savages.

Today i purchased some shrimp fried rice, and it was fresh for the first time. When i usually get it,it goes bad really quickly like within a hour of me buying it. Everything else is really good here. Highly recommend.

Took my son to this place for our first crawfish boil. Ordered 2lbs of crawfish and a pound of shrimp. Seasoning was great, seafood was fresh. Biggest shrimp we've ever seen. Definitely worth a try in my opinion.

Fantastic meal at Cajun Seafood. Went in with a few friends and no one had anything negative to say about their food. From the fried catfish, to the shrimp po boy, to the fried shrimp, all of it was phenomenal. The cajun fries were well-seasoned. The catfish was fried perfectly, and not in cornmeal which is what I'm used to. The grilled shrimp po boy was delicious. Just an overall fantastic meal. Would recommend and will return.

I Like it but, it is to spicy and not enough flavor. Note that , everything spicy is not good or flavorful. Need to cook the shrimp in the rice a little more. I asked the younglady if the food was spicy and she told me no, well, I this was my second time eating there and each time I was visiting. I love cajun's I go there every day I'm home, I go multiple times a day. They all the poboys and platters you think you want and they also have boiled seafood such as crawfish, shrimp, crabs, crab legs. So much to choose from, I always spend so much money here. I ate here in middle school and high school and now living out of state I still have to have it. And I can never get a picture of the food, I forgot to take a picture before I start eating.

Off the beaten path but recommended by a local and did not disappoint. Soft shell crab poboy was so dang good. Big too. 12” was the regular size and TBH I woulda gotten a second if the joint hadn’t completely filled up while I was outside. Whole crew we were with was happy. No indoor seating currently because of COVID I’m assuming but just ate out front by the bus stop. This would be a regular stop if I lived in NOLA.

Some of the best seafood in the USA!!!! And I get to taste!!!!!! This place is nothing short of magical in its operation. The grit and grind of the place helps to produce some of the most delectable seafood eats in the United States. There are multiple lines to help the ordering process. You may have to wait a short little minute after you order but it will be well worth the wait. There is also boiled seafood options. All the seafood is fresh as can be depending on the season. I guess it is also worth noting that this place introduced me to what real seafood is supposed to be. I never looked at red lobster the same after being here. There is no comparison. If you are lucky enough to have eaten here then like myself you got to taste authentic new Orleans. The best!

For an out-of-towner the neighborhood may be a bit intimidating but trust it's worth it. The food is amazing! I wish i had better words to describe it because amazing doesn't do it justice. Service and portions are very good. I'll do a day trip just to come get food here again. We ate in the car because there was no seating inside which is the only downfall, but really it was a downfall because eating the seafood boil requires a little more work. But not a deal breaker at all. I'll happily sit on the hot pavement to eat this food again.

The only reason this place didn't get a 5 star rating from me is because the second time we ordered the boiled snow crab it was not nearly as spicy as the first time we purchased it. Overall still delicious but I love Cajun spices and the heat was so on point the first time my boyfriend ordered from there so we had a higher expectations. The prices for the boiled snow crab were a bit high but worth it. The French fries were sinfully delicious! I will definitely be back!

I've been going here for years. Most people in the community love this place. I have to be honest and say its just okay.... I grew up in the real Cajun Country with home seafood boils. This place is just a good knock off. Not sure why everyone is crazy about them. Maybe it's because it's one of the only places besides Soul's uptown to get boiled seafood.

Really Great place for some NOLA CAJUN SEAFOOD takeout. Best Turkey neck and corn, delicious spicy craw-fish when in season. Their shrimp fried rice and chicken wings are also good. A great place to go if you like the New Orleans type of spicy. Parking can be hard sometimes though.

Got 5 lbs of crawfish here yesterday. The crawfish was really good and well seasoned. Even got a few free crab claws that were mixed in there! I know crawfish are going out of season, so that means higher prices, but this place is the highest I've seen.

The boiled crawfish and turkey necks are generally very good. I order them everytime I go there. Sometimes the seasoning is a little off so at least one of their cooks isn't very good

This is a great carry-out cajun seafood restaurant! It is much more economical than any of the restaurants in New Orleans, but the food is just as good or better. We tried it for lunch and went back again the next day. The seafood gumbo is very meaty, with fish, shrimp, sausage and crab, and is a bit on the spicy side. The crab has shells still, so you have to work to get the meat out or just put it aside, but this is the best gumbo I've ever had. Po-boys are great too, and the boiled shrimp has a nice flavor without being too spicy. Highly recommend, but you will have to wait a while since it's quite popular (apparently at any time of the day) and they prepare the sandwiches only when you place your order.

Crawfish was seasoned well but not super fresh, crawfish pieces mixed in and mushy ones. Looked like they had pre made Chinese food and made to order pizza boys.

Best Crab Legs in New Orleans! Worth the wait even when the line is out the door. Line moves fast when it is long so dont worry about the wait. The only reason Cajun's doesn't get 5 stars from me is because of their spice level. I'm a lover of spicy food, especially spicy seafood, and Cajun's crawfish is bomb. No pun intended. I've only had the hot food a couple times maybe 8 or 9 years ago and it was fulfilling, a good plate. My main reason for the lack of a star is the extra spicy crawfish. My toddler loves crawfish as well, but can never eat crawfish from here.

The best cajun in New Orleans. Seriously, you can get a bag of crab, crawfish, or shrimp for a ridiculously low price. Ended up coming back here 4 times in 5 days, and that's only cause we found it on the second day. You know you're getting the real thing by all the locals coming in and ordering to-go. They have a good drink selection and it'd be a perfect place to stock up for a picnic.
