Last meal of the trip and no complaints. Caught happy hour right before the burlesque show. Boudin balls were tasty, seafood gumbo nice and rich and the Jambalaya…chefs kiss. Our waiter was super friendly and quick. Overall if you’re looking for good food on magazine street on a Friday, this is it.

Atmosphere is very relaxing and inviting. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend the charbroiled oysters!!! The best we ever had! Red snapper with brussel sprouts was the daily special and was delicious! Fried catfish was pretty good too. Highly recommend a visit when in NOLA

Visited Basin for their participation in Coolinary Month and had a great experience. The service was exceptional - friendly, welcoming, good suggestions, and checking in at good intervals. This is just my opinion, but considering the …

Loved it. But, before I continue, I have spent a lot of time in other countries and appreciate vibe/company over speediness. Was it super fast? No. But, that's not what we wanted. …

big, juicy gulf oysters for 75 cents on Mondays!! I also had the fish tacos during happy hour and one of their featured cocktails. Em, the manager was lovely.

What good luck to have stopped here for Sunday brunch while strolling the shops along Magazine street. Exceptionally smoky and meaty gumbo; a shrimp, ham, and chicken filled jambalaya; and a quiet calm interior with perfect service. I’ll be back.

The service was top notch! Super friendly and attentive server and bartender. Especially for such a big group (12). The Hanukkah and Christmas drinks were great and strong! The chicken sandwich wasn’t that good, but the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and a few other things were delicious!

Cute little place - the food was unique and they had fresh fish options which I liked. However, the service took a long time. We even noted a few tables that had come in after us who were served well before us. The food was lukewarm when we got it and my tuna steak was overcooked.
