First time stopping in, was a recommendation from a foodie friend. Grateful there was available indoor seating since there was a threat of rain. I had the small order of wings, battered and fried with BBQ sauce, fries and I added a side of greens. Loved the chicken, fries were good. Greens were delicious, but had some bone fragments from the seasoning meat that could have been removed before serving. I also shared the charbroiled oysters, which were delicious and served with toasted rolls for dipping in the sauce. I love supporting locally owned businesses. I'd go back because I want to try the lamb chops and crab cakes that looked really good on my friend's plates. Enjoy!

The staff was awesome, super friendly and family oriented and the food was just as good. The lamb chops are the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant and that fried hen was out of this world seasoned and delicious! You will not disappointed with whatever you order!!

Best food we had in New Orleans. Everyone in our group loved their entrees. Everything was well seasoned and expertly cooked. I wish I had more time in the city because I would go back!

8 Fresh Food Assassin Restaurant & Lounge was a birthday lunch from a friend of mine and my first time visiting. The staff is wonderful in a sense that they are patient, very down-to-earth, engaging, but not overdoing it. I had the T-bone that steak entrée with a role, salad, and baked potato. The steak was alright. It isn't something I would order again. The potato was good. My friend had the ribeye entrée with no opinion. The dining area is pretty small, but the restaurant was clean. The restroom was clean and and decorated, which is rare, but cute. I would give them one more visit as a local restaurant and good staff. The price is a bit much based on the quality of the meat and everyone getting served in a styrofoam plate. I would recommend this 8 Fresh Food Assassin Restaurant & Lounge to try at least once. By the way, I am unsure as to where the "Lounge" in the business came from. There is not a bar. they just serve a few spirits and beer at the register.

The food was VERY good and the servings were huge. The staff was also nice. This is great for a low key dinner, definitely casual but still a great dining experience.

This was my first time tasting lamb Delicious based on the reviews I decided to try Omg 😱 very tender & juicy served with baked potatoes & salad . I will b going back thanks chef 😘😘😘. Overall good experience, I like to be frank. Parking was complicated but as expected given location so I don't find that problematic. Staff is very friendly, food was out quick. I pass this place everyday on the way to work and I say this because there was anticipation built around going since I have wanted to for months, which may have caused a bias interpretation. I've heard all good things and they did not disappoint. I ordered the red beans and rice special w/ fried chicken and cornbread. Red beans was spectacular, fried chicken also. Room for improvement with the cornbread, a little on the dry side but I should also be aware of what hour it was when I went. I'd assume the cornbread is dry within reason. I was not really satisfied about the yams, but to be fair everyone has their way of making and eating yams. It may be actually very pleasant for others, I personally wasn't fond but that's only my opinion. I think everybody should come and try them out and form their own opinion. Again, overall it was a good experience, and convenient location for me so I look forward to returning and trying something different.

My cousins and I visited the restaurant while in New Orleans, and the food, service, professionalism, and atmosphere were excellent. I started following the chef when he was cooking outside on the grill. When my cousins and I came to New Orleans, I told them we had to stop there. There aren't many places you can go and see the family work together with perfection. No one was too good to be polite and take time out for the customers. When I say exceptional, believe it! The food was to die for! Food options we ordered: lamb chops, steak, fish, lobster, chicken,candied yams, potatoes, salad

Every good review you read is true. The food is truly delicious. I got the lamb chops my only critique is that I wish there were more. They were literally seasoned to perfection. Food came out super quick. No complaints, excited to go back and try something else.
