Top 5 of our airport dining experiences! If we were Dining at the original downtown location of this restaurant I would probably rate it a 4, but for airport food this exceeded our expectations. Everything was warm and cooked perfectly. It tasted fresh, not frozen. My only mild complaint is that for a “Medium” the steak might have been a little over done. But again for an airport that is a lame complaint. Taste, and seasoning was perfect.

I have eaten at the one down town. So expect a limited menu at the airport. But I was extremely happy with the service. In todays age it is definitely lacking and become acceptable.
Still had items from the restaurant on the menu.
I had the BBQ shrimp and the New South Caesar.
Very good. Nice addition to the airport.

We had a great time here. This was our first time to this location while we were on a short layover. The flight got delayed and we had to spend another 45min in the areas so we desired to spot by this location for few drinks and a small plate. We ordered some beer and some fish tacos. The bar is nice with a cool view and the ambiance was also great. Staff was friendly and food was also great. Would defiantly recommend them to others. Will stop by again soon.

Incredible breakfast sandwich with innovative menu, cooked fresh and quickly. This sets a new bar for airport restaurants (and at an approachable price point, too). I was most impressed with the variety of options that spoke to the local flavor, the atmosphere, and how well this lives up to its brand downtown. It's not The Southern by name only, this is the real deal.

One of 2 main restaurants in the wing, this cozy place has both an amazing view and amazing staff. They will go above and beyond to accommodate you, including letting you bring outside food in if your polite about it. Tip them well, we did!

First off, my server was great so this review is not a reflection of service. The food was just ok for as much as they charged for the dish. The brisket was dry and not warm, the eggs were ok, the best thing on the plate was the potatoes.

Fantastic dinner and and enjoyed the waitress service. Glad I waited for a table and had a 3 hour layover. Sweet potato fries were high on salt for my taste.

Lissa was great. Took my order quickly and made somd great recommendations Started with Brussels. They were nicely fried salty from kosher salt and tangy from siracha mayo. Then had Catfish Tacos. Perfectly cooked and great sauces. The toetilla had a little char which added some crunch. Food was delicious.
Had a local IPA and Lager.

Oysters were amazing! The Angels Envy old fashioned was out of this world and the hot chicken salad, yummmmm.

Most amazing breakfast I’ve had in or out of an airport in years. Don’t sleep on this. The food is amazing the staff is amazing and this place is a real treat while traveling. The decor and photos take it over the top. Absolutely loved it!

I came into this place a tired grumpy woman. I left happy as can be. Chef Kandace’s Chicken Fried Chicken hit me in my soul and had me praising Jesus for her talent. If you’re going to be in BNI, make a point to go to Terminal D and find The Southern close to D4. Order the fried chicken and feel your worries melt away. Her meal changed my day!

It's probably the best food I've had at an airport. It's a little expensive, but it is actually worth it. The food is very good and the portions aren't small. Definitely give it a try.

Worst experience of my life waiting to catch a connecting flight to Ohio waitress brought me a cup of sink water for hot tea ordered breakfast bacon was burnt to a crisp the hamburger was burnt as well manager came over got very nasty red-haired Southern Belle yelling and telling me she will take it off my bill we didn't eat any of it she explained that the bacon was jalapeno bacon that's why it was so dark and hard and because my husband ordered a well Burger that's the way it looks like a hockey puck quote unquote very unprofessional slam the plates down and said she will take care of the bill I told her she was very unprofessional so I'm giving them a nasty review and if you're smart don't eat there Cindy and Don s Columbus Ohio so much for southern hospitality oh and by the way I went right across the hall and ate a Puckett's breakfast fabulous I recommended ithighly

BEST airport food --what a great surprise! All of our food was perfect & Kensie's service & the live entertainment made it most enjoyable!💕 (Even bought some Southern Gentleman habanero hot sauce to take back to Texas!)

It’s hard to get a decent airport meal. I keep trying but haven’t found the answer yet. The fried chicken, burgers & oysters look amazing here. The brisket was dry, the “Mac & Cheese” was Penne with Alfredo Sauce - very confusing & an affront to Southern culinary traditions. The mashed potatoes were very delicious but all the food were lukewarm, not sure if they were hot before packing for takeout. Salad was gigantic. Portions of fried chicken related dishes were huge. Good cocktails. Friendly service.

We had the best southern burger here! Drinks were great and most importantly all the staff was amazing! Eddie was our bartender and server and really made the layover enjoyable! Definitely NOT like normal airport food! Amazing!!

For the airport the food was exceptionally good, but be prepared to pay airport prices (a small side of fries $7). The service was great and they had live entertainment just across from the restaurant which was very good. We ate the Southern Burger and the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad, both were great.

This was the perfect place to eat and spend my two hour layover. Live music and good food.
