The pizza was pretty good if you are a fan of thin pizza. Great variety of toppings. Delicious cinnamon rolls! We were a bit confused that pick up orders were across the street. We saw this pizzeria featured on a YouTube video.

I’ve heard so much about this restaurant and decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. We was greeted as soon as we walked in. The staff was friendly and nice. We did the “Build Your Own” pizza which was good. The lady behind the counter was very patient as we selected our toppings. The Pizza was very DELICIOUS! Best pizza ever. Ingredients were fresh! Also all their ingredients are from local companies in the area. Definitely check out this place for the food, hospitality and positive vibes. Great business concept.

Tons of options and customizations. Love the quality and extra touches. Sometimes they run lunch specials that makes the larger size (Husky) to be cheaper in cost than the “Slim”, smaller size. Plenty of seating - both inside and outdoors. Very friendly staff.

I’m at a mix with the place let’s start with the home run and it’s the cinnamon rolls they are a clear winner in my book. As for the pizza it’s a little to greasy for me, and the crust on the bottom could be a little harder. The beer taps weren’t even on/available which bummed me out being called a beeria. Music choice was dope just a little loud as it was difficult to carry a conversation. Root beer dispenser leaks water on your hand while you fill up. luckily it’s water so it’s not sticky. It was an ok experience, I’d come back for the rolls.

Black owned pizzeria serving pizzas with Hip Hop names! You can go for the Cee No Green (all meat pizza) or the P.R.E.A.M (white sauce pep, chicken sausage w/spinach and mushrooms) the garlic knots are homemade and the decadent Roll Outs (sweet buns) are to die for!! Try a mixed slushy or a refreshing drink! You cant go wrong with the P.R.E.A.M. team assisiting you! Yep they out chea!!

Been wanting to come here for awhile. Got the PREAM which was pretty flavorful. Ordered a lemonade slush or but after ordering at the kiosk learned they don’t even have that in the store. A pretty big flaw. Seating is good inside and a huge patio but with limited seats outside. No beer was available at lunch. Service was minimal but the people working friendly.

Can’t believe I waited so long to try S&H. Ordering was quick and easy. Pizza took less than 10 minutes. The drip sauce was fantastic and my pepperoni pizza was delectable. Eager to try new pizza. I ordered the slim size and it was enough.

I miss the old style of ordering. The food is still good but charging for extras and changes to the items takes away from the experience. The staff no longer have interaction with the customers because of the kiosks which just results in them looking miserable. It's sad to see one of my former favorite lunch spots turning into another faceless chain restaurant. The changes are making the locations lose personality. "Before it was challenging for our team to communicate the cost of additional toppings and customizations with our customers" - from their reply... before we just told the person in front of us what we wanted changed on the pizza and it was done right then and there. Extra cheese, OK! A little extra bacon, alright! Each change from 2016 to now was done to cut cost and resulted in a worse customer experience. Jugs of the sauces changed to buying individual extra cups of sauce- cost cutting. Name brand soda to the odd choices now- cost cutting. Charging for each change in topping- cost cutting. Ordering via screen- cost cutting. They all add up to a steadily worse customer experience. Thanks but no thanks, I'll take my business elsewhere.

We decided to try this place because of a combination of the high ratings and the great backstory of the owners. The service and atmosphere was great but we were disappointed by the food. They had a $10 dollar special for a slim pizza with two toppings but honestly it had little cheese and toppings. Also the sauce was a little tangy. We probably wouldn't go back even though we are rooting for their continued success.

Been a while since I visited this location and a lot has changed. The ordering from the tablet was not a good experience due to a couple of them being out of order, the employee told me that they weren't working correctly, but I don't understand if they weren't working correctly. Why didn't they put us sign on it or just turn it off? Pizza was as good as I remember, however, the cinnamon rolls definitely felt smaller and tasted different from what I remember. Also a lot of toppings that you used to get. You can't get anymore like corn for example. But overall, we'll still visit this location from time to time.

Soo good! The ingredients are fresh, delicious, and customizable. They even have vegan options! Highly recommend building your own and adding the balsamic drizzle. If you order on Door Dash, be sure to double check your order. They do tend to forget to add the side sauce/drizzle.

Really like the atmosphere, presentation and staff. I was underwhelmed with the pizza after my sister built up the quality as the best in Nashville. And I felt like it was a premium price for the food. I'll definitely be willing to give it another try before I cement my decision.

I passed by here as a tourist and thought I tried them out. It was late in the evening and was raining. I made a to go order which I had to pick up outside waiting in the rain so that wasn't cool but other than that the pizza itself was excellent. The crust was delicious and it held up well under the weight of the toppings. Every bite was a topping! The cinnamon rolls were inventive and creative they were good. I really do recommend this place. I hope to go there again in the future.

Awesome awesome awesome place. Such a fun and lively spot off the beaten path. Mostly locals go and it can be busy but it comes in waves. Love the combination pizzas they offer and you can customize as much as you want. Great portion sizes for the money. Would definitely recommend and go back again next time we are in Nashville. Building looked like it was an old car garage shop and they converted quite well. Double thumbs up!

I will start by saying that the pizza was good. However, it was very middle-of-the-road. For what it was, I enjoyed it, but there are definitely other pizza joints I would jump to go to before this one. The pizza I had was the California Love, and the pesto base was SUPER salty. I love pesto bases, but I wish I had gotten a different one. For the price, it's good.

Nice clean place, you can order one of their special pizzas or you can build your own. You can pick between their slim or husky crust. I ordered the husky dough which wasn't thick at all, infant the husky dough came out the same as the slim. The pizza was pricey, we got 2 pizzas and one drink and ended up paying $35. The pizza was just OK, nothing spectacular.

Took me a little bit to make it to this gem. A wonderful pizza spot with creative signature pies and all the ingredients for you to make your own masterpiece! Try one of the drizzles on top for extra goodness. Quickly catapulted to my favorite place for pizza in Nashville. So far, the best pizza I have had is white sauce, cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, and balsamic molasses . . . Try it . . . You will thank me!

Great concept, even better pizza! As someone who grew up in the area it was great to see fellow TSU alums open a business like this one in the area and be successful. The ingredients are fresh, the crust is perfect and cooks just crisp enough in the oven. I personally like to build my own pizza but there are definitely options for those that don't like to start from scratch. The best part is being able to get whatever, how many ever toppings you want. The service is always good. Everyone is polite and professional, even in their most busy of times.

Love the new kiosk for ordering. The online experience could use a bit updating. It doesn’t allow the customer to add salmon to the husky salad like it does on the kiosk in the restaurant. Salad is FYE!!!

We visited this store in April on our brief stay in Nashville because we heard about it via a YouTube recommendation. Although the the food was good, the customer service could have been better. I explained to the checkout rep that it was our first time visiting and the rep made NO effort to explain their ordering process or describe any of their favorite items. They really missed an opportunity to impress us as new customers. On top of that it was kind of loud in the restaurant. The food however was good and delivered up in about 5mins from ordering. For the price we expected a little more food. Their large size pizza will feed two hungry 9 year olds...maybe. We liked the cool pics on their drinking cups though!

Great, made to order, custom pizza that come in a slim (medium) or a husky (large). 🍕 You choose the sauce, veggies, and meat, and watch your creation get fired before your eyes. The result is a fresh, flavorful pie that's ready that you can pair with great, local craft beers. 🍻 The vibe is modern industrial with paintings by local artists, and the music will have you head nodding some of the greats hip hop and R&B from 90s and early 2000s 🎙️🎶

Good custom made pizza. Two sizes, slim and husky. Your choice of sauces, toppings. Several tap beer selections. Limited in door seating but a nice covered back patio which was very enjoyable on an early fall day. All the staff was nice. Several people assigned just to Covid disinfecting. I did have to wait in line outside until I was allowed to come in to order. The pizzas are cooked on a rolling rack oven and don't take all that long. (The music is not so kid friendly, so take that in mind before brining little ones.)

Update: A few months after my review, they implemented nearly all of my suggestions below (not sure if coincidence or not). Anyway, experience is much improved. Beer seems to be removed altogether, ordering is now done via kiosk exclusively (huge improvement), which also resolves the loyalty program issue. They also merged their former to-go operation from across the street into the same building. You can now order via the Toast Tab app online consistently. The last time I was there they even had someone checking on those waiting, offering water etc. I would still plan for 20+ minutes to get your pizza if you are ordering on the kiosks as there is still disorganization behind the line, but still, much better! Original review: Here is the deal with this place (at least on Buchannan): It is a neighborhood staple, and as far as I can tell, this is the best pizza available in Nashville. It is a "subway style" ordering situation where you go down the line and build your own pizza or select a menu option. The final product is excellent, I have never had a bad meal here and I go quite often. The remainder of this review is not necessarily a negative, but just something to be aware of: every time I have gone in here, the service is wildly unorganized and inefficient. If there is a line of 5 or 6 people, you may well be looking at 30+ minutes to get your pizza. There is rarely a sense of urgency and it seems like people are often not at their "stations" or are unaware of what their assignment is. For example, most of the time, there is no one at the checkout station (which, inexplicably, is kind of like an on-your-honor system where you go and tell the person what you had before receiving your pizza.) This is the biggest issue, but again, more of something to plan for than a negative. Since I am critiquing, and management may read this, I will just drop a few other observations below: 1. Uber Eats/Their Proprietary app are very sporadically available/unavailable. I would suggest syncing the app operating hours with your store operating hours. 2. Availability of tap beer seems to be about 50 percent. I would suggest either cutting down the complexity or committing to maintaining the existing selections. There have been at least a dozen times I would have purchased a beer but was told the system (or portions of it) were out of service. 3. Checkout is very unorganized and confusing (especially for a first time customer.) I suggest: Having your staff give the customer instruction on how and where to pay. Having your checkout staff inquire about the customer loyalty account status (either commit to using the loyalty program or don't, often time they skip past the screen before I am allowed to enter my info) and finally ensuring that the cashier stations remains staffed. There are often 4-5 employees behind the line and no one behind the cash register. The store would benefit from having a dedicated person handling transactions as well as overseeing the dining room/customer service. It would also create a more welcoming environment for people to purchase a 2nd drink (surely their highest margin sales item.) Taking a step back and summarizing the suggestions, this store seems to be lacking sufficient on-site management. The staff is great and seems to want to do a good job, but they are often lacking direction. My background for what it's worth: Hospitality management graduate and 20+ years in the industry.

My girl and I came here for some pizza. She is slim, I am husky. We felt the name alone was so fitting. I remembered seeing this place on TV and was so ready to try it out. I consider myself an amateur pizza connoisseur and have had the "best" pizza all over the USA. This is hands down the best pizza I have ever had.

If you're looking for an excellent pizza in Nashville, look no further. Comparable to a Subway for pizza but much better. Fresh ingredients, amazing staff, and huge selection! They have a few standard pizzas on the menu but the possibilities are endless as to what you can make with all the toppings and sauces. Their local beer selection would definitely make this the place to go when not on your lunch break! Be warned though, the wait can get a little long and the dining area is small but it is all worth it for one of the best pizzas in Nashville!

Amazing pizza! Black owned and operated! Truly refreshing to see professionals doing what they love to do! The crust was perfect, crunchy and light, yet with a great dog bite and flavor. The toppings and cheese were delicious and worked perfectly with the sauce. I will be returning and and trying the beer, I desperately wanna try the Trippel and how IPA. Sorry no photos, we were hungry, and smashed the pizza.

The food gets 5stars, the review 3. This place needs that Chic-Fil-a customer service. I from out of town and Slim & Husky's was highly recommended. It's like Subway, choose your size Slim or Husky, sauce, ingredients, as much as you want. Then it is put on a belt driven oven, your name is called when its done. The bad, they were out of smoke salmon because a team member failed to get it from tte storage. The pizza makers gave me the wrong ticket for a Slim (green) and i was charged for a Husky (white) , i ordered two Slims and only one came out. The other ended up off to the side for 15 min after cooking with no explanation. 🤔 Im sorry, here are a few coupons for next visit, oh, let us moke it up to you, free of charge for your troubles, hew two drinks on wte house, nothing. I understand that the place is famous and extremely busy, i was warned before hand however attention to detail and exceptional customer service often leads to great reviews, recommendations, and big tips. Pretty nice pizza place for quick thin crust. I had the slim RONY, RONI, RONE! Three types pepperoni, house cheese blend and regular red sauce. It was a bit stronger on the pepper side than I expected. Good thin crust, great red sauce. Service was quick amd friendly but I'd price it as $$, not $. Nice tap beer selection of local brews, but plastic cups.

If you're a 90's lover like me, you'll want to make a B-line to Slim & Husky asap. All the cultural references from my youth from music, to tv, to movies plus a super cool vibe from the moment you pull up. You'll order your pizza at the counter and young black employees will smile and customize your pizza to your liking. Let a beer or soda at a second corner to receive a poker chip which you'll need to collect your pizza once it's ready. There are amazing sauces available for you to either drizzle on top or dip your pizzas into. You will love this pizza!

OMG!! What an amazing experience... Came to Nashville from Atlanta to hangout with family. They mentioned lunch at Slim and Husky's. When I tell you this place was amazing from start to finish. Customer Service to the quality of the food. My pizza was super amazingly delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We got there at 6 PM on a Friday, and the wait was about 30 minutes until we could order. The wait was definitely worth it. The workers were very friendly, and there are lots of options to choose from for pizza as well as build your own. They have either a slim or husky pizza which is just the difference between a 10" and 14" pizza. There are lots of sauces to choose from once your pizza is finished that you can put on top. They also have wine and beer there in addition to cinnamon rolls.

I literally can't think of anyway this place could be any better. Great Pizza, Atmosphere and Tunes. Slim and Husky's let's you load up your pizza with as many toppings as you want with a variety of choices that vary from spicy pepperoni to shrimp and everything in between. They also have a bar where you can grab a nice adult beverage. My new favorite pizza spot, both locations are equally amazing even though I would lean towards the one in antioch only because the one in North Nashville stays packed and the line seems to always be out the door. #yournewfavoritepizzaspot

This place was definitely all that I'd hoped it would be. I was visiting the Nashville area and knew that this restaurant had to be on my foodie stops. First, aesthetically, the building is very clean. It has cool hipster like appeal. Secondly, the parking was super easy. Their are subtle nods to cultural cult classics like Spike Lee Joints, and silhouetes of popular 90's sitcoms on the restroom doors. The menu includes a few nods to popular R&B music groups and songs.The process for ordering moved pretty quickly. You ordered your individual pizza with unlimited toppings and selection of sauce. The pizza comes in two personal sizes: the Slim and the Husky. The sauce included the classic pizza sauce or you could Spice it with their Spicy Red. They also offer other sauces like the "White Sauce is Slammin" pizza sauce just to name a few. Now....the toppings. There are a ton of toppings and they are unlimited. Yaasss! Come thru!! They have all your classic meat toppings including smoke chicken. If you are more the pescaterian type, they have smoked salmon and shrimp...or you can keep it veggie lovers like I did. You watch them assemble your pizza. I had the classic red with the special three cheese blend, fresh mozzerella, and feta. My toppings included spinach, roasted red peppers, roasted grape heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms, pineapple, tiny diced green bell pepper, and carmelized onion. You can also pick a drizzle. The pizza is placed on a conveyor belt and goes through the oven and though the crust is thin, this process leaves crispy pan pizza like edges. It was slammin'! After you order your pizza, you take your poker chip to cash out. This place has a healthy array of drafts on tap!! You can sample. They offer the locals brews, IPA's and ciders. They also have a nice selection of bottled beverages. I would certainly recommend and will be back when I'm in the area.

Okay, so i was visiting Tennessee and i absolutely fell in love with this place, and made a second trip during my 3 day visit. I ordered a “slim” and it definitely filled me up even though it seemed small. For only 12 bucks, that’s super cheap, especially since you can add whatever toppings you like. I had a build your own, and i had at least 7 toppings, which there are several to choose from. The flavor of the pizza was amazing. I added the garlic butter sauce for dipping, and it was like papa johns but 10 times better. Don’t leave without it!! Only thing i would add is that the staff were a little more friendly. I was new at what needed to go on, and they seemed frustrated by our lack of what exactly to do. Other than that, the pizza was great!

They have cinnamon rolls and dessert on the menu but to get them you have to go across the street and down the road 200 feet to order and get them. 💯 worth it! The best cinnamon rolls I've ever bought! See my review their sister location called The RollOut. It's address is 1006 Buchanan and it's also where you pick up your 🍕 order to go/take out. The staff working was very friendly as well! Would highly recommend getting this 🍕 and going over to The RollOut for a delicious dessert 😋

This is a well kept community secret in Nashville. I'm not local and found out by word of mouth (no pun intended). If no one has told you about it, you had better find out FAST! Personal size hand crafted pizzas are off the chain! I had a vegan pizza complete with vegan cheese. Did I say they offer local brews as well as non alcoholic beverages. You can take out or dine in an informal environment. The service is fast and friendly. I would recommend Slim & Huskey's to ANYONE that has never experienced it before. If there were room, I would add a sixth star!

Wonderful service and the freshest tasting pizza I’ve had by far — my favorite is the California Love with shrimp. Other than the seafood, all of the ingredients are locally sourced (and I learned by a staff member that even the pizza boxes are made in Tennessee, which I love). I went on a Friday night this time and the wait wasn’t bad even though it was packed inside and the line was pretty long. If you’ve never been to Slim and Husky’s and you’re on the fence because you’ve heard or seen that there’s a line out the door, it’s definitely worth the wait and it’ll go by quick! There’s ample parking and great music too.

Went to this establishment because it was a recommendation from an employee at the Hotel we were staying. While the ingredients used were very good, the cooking process could be improved to allow for a more evenly cooked pizza. The center lacked the proper heat to ensure that this part of the crust was cooked thoroughly. Also, customer service is what makes or breaks a business. The cashier on Friday night was definitely breaking you, as her customer service skills sucked. Lastly, the setup is all wrong. You are losing a lot of money by having customers able to pick up their pizza and walk right out the door. This could be and needs to be implemented immediately, as the cashier should be the ones giving the pizza to the customers...not the cook. Overall a very good idea and product... I just don't like to see black owned businesses handicap themselves before we even get started.

I tried tgis place for the first time just a few days ago. I had always heard things like the lines were too long. But after actually going, it moves very efficiently. They allow you to build your own pizzas. Down to the sauces! It was delicious and the 90's vibe the place has is really nostalgic and pleasant. I walked in, and In Living Color was playing right on the Wall! And then It Was a Good Day by Ice Cube played over the loud speaker. I really enjoyed my experience here. And the fact that it is black owned is a HUGE plus. Most definitely will be returning.

We travel from NJ occasionally to see our son in Nashville. This is our second visit to Slim & Husky’s. It was ok. The restaurant needs some TLC. My husband asked for a cup of ice. The worker asked if he paid for it. We were charged 50 cents for a cup of ice with nothing in it. Very distasteful and tacky. We can eat at a 5 star restaurant and get a cup of ice for free. When we received our small cup of ice I couldn’t believe we were charged 50 cents for an item that is approximately .01 per capita. After spending $40 bucks for pizza I should be able to get a cup of ice for free. Management needs to fix this nonsense.

I must start off by saying if you are a foodie or just want some good food Nashville is the place. I digress...Slim & Husky's allows you to pick the sauce and toppings for your pizza. They add them to your pizza in front of you. Then they place it in the brick oven. My husband and I got the husky and split it. That was more than enough. There are very few good pizza options in Nashville. For a "send it through the conveyer belt oven" kind of pizza place, this pizza is crazy good. I'm a big fan of the Rony Roni Rone. Highly recommend. It's a thin and crispy style crust that is slightly charred. 5 stars for me

The pizza here was AMAZING! I was visiting from FL and my sister took me and my mother to this restaurant! So this review could have gone BOTH way. 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the service (2 at the max). On this particular day, we came in and there was a gentleman that came in but not through the side door. He was approached by "security" who made a scene about it! They were getting loud and truthfully, I don't think they noticed it but another customer had to get in it and tell them to be respectful of the kids! "Security" then thought it was the guy who was just saying be respectful of the kids, who was being loud. NOT TRUE! I do agree with the gentleman that it is a place of business and customers we're looking! That's not professional. However, one of the guys came from the back and did a good job of calming down the situation- calling it the "black Chick-fil-A ". I understood where he was coming from- owned by blacks, they just want to have the Chick-fil-A vibe (which is pleasantly pleasant with happy workers and customers- the "my pleasure" atmosphere). There was also another staff member who joked with me (the light skinned guy handing out the token) about trying out the spinach! I do have advise- but I once again gave 4 stars for the food and food alone and really wanted to give them 5 stars- the person stretching the pizza with the sauce should not be writing the names on the pizzas with same gloves, the guy who picks up token with prongs should not be fixing the cheeses and meats. Remember, this could lead to cross contamination! I also saw the guy who came out to hand the pizza to the waiting customer, cutting pizza and come out and get a receipt from one of the workers that had fallen on the floor and was picked up and handed to him wearing the same gloves! But last but not least- pizza was delish! My mom HATES pizza and she LOVED this pizza! Keep doing what you're doing (without all the potential cross contamination and remember there is a "time and a place" to handle all situations!

The pizza is pretty good. Sometimes the dough is undercooked in the center if there are a lot of toppings. The only big issue I've had is the cashier overcharged us on Tuesday when the signature Huskies are supposed to be $12. She charged $16 and then got an attitude when we asked her about it. She overcharged the next guest in line as well, they confronted her, and she got snippy with them too. So I would say just watch your bill. The manager came over to fix it and was very pleasant ♥️

I’ve ordered twice to-go through a third party. I would like to go in person, but with a toddler, meals out aren’t that enjoyable. The first time, the food appeared to take longer than expected (per the app I was using), but the product was delicious. That said, my drizzle was left off the pizza. Not a huge deal, but I’m a balsamic enthusiast, so I missed it. We just tried third party app ordering again, and the result is the same. The pizza is good, but we waited 1.5 hours. And again, drizzles we’re left off both pizzas. The pizzas and cinnamon rolls are very tasty, but there appear to be kinks to work out.

Took the family here a few weeks ago since we were in town to drop our son off at college and it was our first time visiting a Slim & Husky location. Overall, we enjoyed it. The employees did a good job of keeping the line moving because we were standing outside. Great customer service. Good team. The pizza was great! Fresh toppings and you can have it any way you want it. The inside seating is limited and it's 5 of us so we had to go out and eat in our car. The patio was open but it was cold outside. My daughter suggested pizza for lunch during my recent visit to Nashville. I love trying pizza in different regions, so I was game. I was pleasantly surprised by the set up as well as the menu. The kids created their own pizzas, but I ordered the Roni, Roni, Roni and the Going back to Cali with Shrimp. OMG!! Both were amazing! The toppings were fresh, and delicious. Ok, I struggled with this review. We were visiting from out of town and were excited to support a black owned business in Nashville. The pizza was delicious and I would love to give 5 stars for the food, but everything else was so so so bad that I am forced to rate our experience a 3 at best. There were four employees in the store and there was a line nearly reaching the door. Only one employee was working hard. One was folding boxes. In my opinion, a completely unnecessary use of his time when there were customers everywhere needing to be attended to. One was just walking around, literally not doing anything just pretending to be busy. The last was helping to check people out once they EVENTUALLY got to the cash register. I saw a family of 5 or 6 leave because they got tired of waiting = money lost. If that was not enough, they were out of almost everything. I wanted a slim, only husky available. There was no regular red sauce. I went with the spicy. No bacon, no banana peppers, no jalapeños to name a few. I mean it was extremely ridiculous how many things they were out of. I heard several customers discussing the decline of the quality of this establishment. We were visiting from out of town so I can't comment on this, but I can say that management needs to come in and take a look at how this location is being run.

Food was Delicious, I mean the dough was cooked to perfection and so are the variety of toppings and sauces. However, the only downside was that the eating area was too small especially when all the outdoor ceiling fans was inoperable. I would suggest maybe carrying out your order unless you enjoy swatting flies and sweating while eating your delicious pizza.

Slim and Husky’s is always good! It’s loud and you have to yell your order with your chest, but the servers are nice and you can be in and out quickly. I don’t know what they put in their pizza but it’s better than anywhere else in town!!

I ate at a Slim & Husky's in 2019 during a college tour and fell in love. I told my husband we had to come back to Nashville so he could try it. This was our first time at the Buchanan location and I won't be back. The pizza was great, no complaints. He enjoyed it as well. The customer service was pitiful. The girls on the line seem like they have an attitude and the young lady at the register had the biggest attitude. We were trying to ask about the slush flavors and how to order cinnamon rolls and we were clearly bothering her. It was a major turn off. We have to do better.

First time visiting. We drove three hours to try this place out and we were not disappointed. The pizza and the multiple toppings are all quality products. They also have cinnamon rolls at their nearby business. The employees that I interacted with were very helpful.

This is a local pizza spot that does custom order pizzas. They build the pizza in front of you. You choose from two sizes: slim or husky, slims are flatbread size, and husky is about the size of medium pizza. They have they, 4 sauces and lots of options for toppings.

My wife and I visited here because it was listed as one of the best places to get pizza in Nashville and it definitely lived up to that. The atmosphere was casual and laid back and everyone who worked there were super friendly and helpful. The pizza was fantastic and fresh. They also had a sauce station with about 6 different sauces. The only thing I would love for them to do is label the sauces so I can know what I am eating. Even though my wife and I had fun trying to taste test and figure out what each sauce was.

This is my first visit to this establishment and like many have said before I was excited to go. I have seen the restaurant featured on TV. The pizza was good and I enjoyed the fact that there are multiple toppings to create your own pizza. However, the music is so loud that you can not convey your order. I believe this factor contributes to the staff coming off as nonchalant it’s probably because they can’t hear anything. I hope the owner would consider turning it down a bit so we could enjoy the music without it dominating the concept of this place. Please keep up the magnificent work and I love the quotes on the bathroom wall. I look forward to visiting again.

I believe the use of quality ingredients here ensure that any combination you dream up will be a success. There is a great selection of local beer to add to the greatness. This spot is definitely one of my favorites and most recommended.

I have heard many good things about Slim & Husky's and it still found a way to succeed expectations! The dough and toppings are premium and extremely fresh. No need to explain what pizza you created at the register, simply say "Slim or Husky" because all pizza's are priced off the size and not the toppings. I hope their next location will be in Birmingham, AL. They would do extremely well there!

I’ve loved Slim and Husky‘s Pizza from the beginning. The crust is so amazing! I was very happy to hear they were expanding and even now they are creating frozen pizza. Yay! However I ordered to go and was very disappointed: you can’t order a custom built pizza anymore. I think they really need to rethink that. That’s what Pizza is all about, getting exactly the toppings you want. So taking a break from Slim and Huskys going to a pizza that’ll build a custom pizza. Side note: The vegetarian had little to no vegetables.

The pizza is some of the best in town, but it's pricey. The environment is clean and cozy, and everyone seems to be happy to be there, probably because the pizza is so good. A slim sized pizza will fill you up, a husky is probably enough to feed two people or one very hungry person. Better prices would get a 5 star from me for sure. The parking is nice, too.

The pizza will make your day! The service is usually pretty good and doesn't take too long. They have a pretty good selection of draft beer. The place is a bit small so some could feel cramped but the environment makes it okay. They play a good music selection as well so you can do a little happy dance while eating your food.

These kids need better management to treat every customer with respect. I purchased two Husky pizzas at regular price and not the $10 special that they advertised on Tuesdays and the young lady got upset because I wanted topping on my pizza. Very horrible attitude.

Three reasons you should go are: 1) EXCELLENT PIZZA with outstanding flavor and topping choices; including vegan options! 2) Laid back atmosphere that is inviting to sit and talk, yet modern and clean 3) Support a local business that cares to give back to the community In regards to prior comments—the music was at a good level where I could easily hear my sister or the song. I loved the pizza they served! The selection of pizza is sauces is great, and even better is their choices of toppings. The ground vegan soy was delicious, and so were smoked salmon and shrimp. The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is their prices. Husky size is $15 and it just about filled me. If I am paying that much, I expect the pizza to be enough for 2 people.

This was a pretty cool little place to get fresh made pizza, and local beers. They make the pizza in front of you and you pick your toppings. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially to a first time visitor. There’s not a lot of seating but the table layout assists in opening up conversations with friends or strangers! Love it.

Okay so this place lives up to the hype. The location, the atmosphere, the decor...is all for the culture. It’s small, there is a process and learning how to properly order is an art, but the pizza is BOMB! The staff is nice and you get your order quickly. Wow! My wife asked me to go. I was reluctant but she had heard this place was great so I went. Waited about an hour and a half in line and thought this better be good. Once inside was thirsty from waiting. Was able to get a beer while I waited. I'm not a big beer drinker at all but the sweet ale beer I had was so good I forgot about the wait! The pizza....well let's just say the pizza was by far better than any I have ever had and will no doubt be back on the reg!!! Awesome staff and vibe as well!! Still stunned!!!

This place is the best. Great crunchy slim dough, and the freshest of ingredients. I rate them a tip of the star better than 5 points pizza or the Mann's Pizza in the gallery. I did however download their app and paid for a pizza only to get here today (snow day)and the restaurant is closed... Luckily I only live 3 blocks from it. I am a love of gourmet pizza and this place did not disappoint! Oh my God, shrimp and salmon on my pizza, leave me here forever. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the young lady fixing my pizza could have been friendlier. I asked what did she recommend with the shrimp and salmon, and she shrugged her shoulders. Then I asked what do customers usually get and she said....wait for it! I don't know🤦‍♀️ other then that I will visit again when I am in town.

Of the 15+ beers listed on their board, they had 2 beers and 2 ciders available. On a Friday night! Not the cleanest restaurant I have seen. The trash was overflowing, and there were rolls of paper towels on the tables that had clearly been handled by previous customers with messy hands. The staff were all friendly, and the food was decent, so it wasn't a total wash, but I definitely would not recommend the place.

Went in around 1pm and this place was still hopping. They have a great way of making your food, it's hot, fresh, and delicious. Everyone employed seems to be happy to be there, nothing but smiles from every employee. Great food, inexpensive, delicious. Great customer service and friendly with a nice atmosphere. We came to this location because we couldn't get into the Broadway location due to event downtown for the 4th of July. S&H makes personal pizzas. The toppings are quality. The crust is buttery with a crisp texture. And the service is generally fast. There's also ample parking. Overall, it's a neat spot that reflects the part of the city it's in. A nice casual spot for good grub and local beer.

The group that I travelled with from New Jersey tried most of the different specialty pizzas. I tried the PREAM.. Um um good.. It was so good I went two days in a row. I had been waiting to get here since they opened and I'm very glad I first visited in July. On my first visit there was a very short line but it moved quickly. They have two sizes slim or husky (small or large). You can choose a creation or build your own pizza. You have a choice of delicious sauces, cheeses, proteins and veggies. I chose half spinach pesto and half white sauce with shredded cheese and mozzarella, smoked salmon, shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, onion and a little artichoke. It was amazing! They also have desert, salads, beer selections, soda and water. They definitely lived up to their reputation! On my second visit the line was short, the food was amazing and my daughter had a salad she loved! Great food and great times!!!

Really good pizza! It's a bit of a wait due to pick your own ingredients and folks taking their time to do so. You wait in line waiting to order and then pick a menu item or choose your own without a cost per ingredient. It's fixed price for two sizes. I just picked the first menu item with white sauce which when fresh was very tasty. Go ahead and eat it all because my leftover didn't save very well. Should have gotten the slim. The neighborhood was a tad on the rough side but everyone was friendly.

I have been putting this review off for a while. Not because I didn’t know what I wanted to say but because I feel like there aren’t words to describe how delightful and delicious this pizza is. Perfectly fluffy, melt in your mouth crust that has all of the necessary (but not too much) support for the fresh toppings and sauces that, again, can’t be described with words. The beer is fresh and cold and.... mmmm... So. Good. They support local breweries, and that makes me happy. Don’t think about it. This pizza will change the scale to which you judge all pizza.

Visited Nashville for the music, stayed for the pizza! First night in town hit up Slim & Husky’s, Friday was playing on the wall, the staff was beyond exceptional, and the pizza was perfect. Solid beer selection and the rest of the clientele was fun and great to interact with. The whole thing was just everything I’ve ever wanted in a restaurant, just didn’t know it yet. Had to go back again and tonight was even better, even got to see a national celebrity who was great to the staff and pizza lovers as well. I really could go on and on about this place. Amazing pizza! My friend and I shared half a pizza and she has a shellfish allergy. As soon as we told them they were very accommodating and changed gloves just to make our pizza. In May, we took a trip to Nashville. While at our hotel, we asked Google to find a pizza place. Slim & Husky came up and we decided to give it a try. The pizza at this place is great! Since we've been home in Arizona, we've been telling everyone about it. We also enjoyed the long picnic tables inside. It's nice to meet other people and enjoy dinner together together. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because there was not a drink station. They had drinks in a cooler, but it would have been nice to have a soda fountain and iced tea dispenser. I also think it would be nice if they had some outside seating. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed! We will definitely eat there again if we go back to Nashville.

Great Artisan feel. Well rounded atmosphere. I would recommend this pizzeria for everyone to try. You are sure to find something you like with the various options of pizza toppings and ingredients at hand. It's a must try.

Extremely delicious pizza. You create your own masterpiece if you want. They also have beef pepperoni! I have never had that before. That was awesome for a woman that doesn't eat pork. I will definitely be back.

I went about two weeks ago to see what the hype was about. I think the pizza definitely lives up to the hype. I was not dissatisfied with the food. I will say though, if you don't like crowds you might not want to come during peak hours because it's a small restaurant and it's cramped. I also was not a fan of the seating. The chairs are connected to the tables and they feel VERY flimsy. I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant, especially if you're on the bigger side like me. That, plus the fact that's it's a small space to begin with. If you were to come in the restaurant from the side, there's no walking space between the tables. Last note, it would be wonderful if they had more non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Other than that, it's good. Eating at the restaurant is a no for me though.

The customer service is superb, the atmosphere great, I love the different versions of pizza to choose from and you can even build your own... BIG TIP they don't charge for additional toppings! I know this is music city but the music although great to listen to can be a little loud if your going for conversation or trying to hear your order being called.

We heard about this place and normally go to Blaze Pizza but decided we would give it a try. We arrived and the line was out the door. As an aside, we waited outside like this for a place that is famous for pancakes and when we finished eating, we wondered out loud what all the fuss was all about. Back to pizza joint, we waited in the cool rainy weather for roughly 2 hours. We rolled through the order line and picked our generous toppings. 15 minutes later it was ready. I remember thinking...there is no way that any food is worth a 2 hour wait. WRONG! The crust was different but awesome. Same with the sauce. Rich unique taste. The environment is cool, with 90s classics playing in the background. When they figure out how to churn out pizzas faster, other pizza chains are in biiiiiiiiig trouble. We will come back again and again!

The pizza is absolutely delicious. I see what the hype is truly about. However, the customer service needs work. A young lady at the counter rung up order and gave me a token. When I asked about the token, she said "you were supposed to pay before getting your pizza." So I asked again what's the purpose of the token? Instead of explaining the purpose of the token, she took it back. Another thing, there is no greeting, no smiles, nothing. Good customer is still a standard.

FINALLY got the chance to taste the pizza here (each time I'd come before the line was out the door, and I'll admit to being impatient at times). I must say...the wait was well worth it! (This is dating myself I know)...dig the atmosphere inside and out, customer service was on point, and the pizzas! The pizza is amazing! I love the crust, not too thick, not too thin....just right. All ingredients are fresh and a large variety of fresh toppings from which to choose. I love the choice of 4 different sauces. This is the best pizza, I have had in Nashville. The craft beers are great! The only drawback, is the awkward seating. The seats are round, low and too far under the tables. Very difficult to get in and out of, if you're not a young thin person. They do have a few chairs against the wall, but need better seating. Other than the seating, I love Slim and Huskey's Pizza.

A great spot for awesome pizza and kick back environment! Love the throwback 90s/2000s Hip-Hop/R&B music! This place is definitely a hot spot, so if you go during the weekend, be prepared to have a line to get your pizza. Moves steadily, so i won’t complain.

There was a slight snafu only order (order and half & half pizza but got same toppings on both sides) but the line was long and it was delicious nonetheless so I didn't bother to notify the staff. Anytime I'm in or around Nashville, Slim & Husky's will be a mandatory stop.

AMAZING! It has a interesting Brooklyn vibe with amazing pizza. The lines can get crazy on the weekend but it moves super fast and the food is definitely worth waiting for. I usually go on the weekdays and there's not a line. It's a wonderful experience and a great addition to the neighborhood.

Pizza is good, but if you are ordering through Doordash and you want some of their sauces, you can forget about it. I've probably ordered 10 times and I've gotten the sauce I asked for once. There is a break down in the operation. I've called about it and even drove over there, after my delivery arrived, to speak with someone about it because I really like the pizza and don't want to totally write them off for not being able to get the orders right. Not sure why, but they cant seem to get this part of the business sorted out.

Fantastic pizza! Get there early or be prepared to wait. We "thought" we would beat the crowd getting there about 4:45....no such luck. While waiting in line I heard a combination of LL Cool J and Salt-N-Pepa that took me straight back to Friday nights at the skating rink in 1992. It was an awesome experience and even better pizza!

The pizza was good but the neighborhood was not so good. Our Uber driver dropped us off for dinner and told us not to walk around outside at all because it was a bad part of town. We were definitely stared at when we walked in, like we were out of place. They even had a police badged officer with a S&H store shirt walking around. Kind of weird to need that and made us wonder if they are used to having issues there? All the specialty sauces we wanted to try were out and the employees said they had no more (ranch & garlic). Like I said the pizza itself was good, my husband liked the beer he got and the old school hip hop music was fun — but we wouldn’t go there again at night.

Do you like pizza? Do you like Keith Sweat? Ok then. Give this place a try. The pizza is delicious and the 90s R&B they play loudly will help you leave in a good mood. Make sure to get some drizzle for your pizza. Seating is very limited. If I had to criticize one thing, it would be location. The neighborhood is a little sketch. We had to deal with a crackhead asking for cheeseburgers in the parking lot.

Love this place! Visited for the first time today. It has a nice bustling atmosphere but also very laid back staff.The pizza is delicious with the option of building your own with unlimited topping options. The pizza is cooked to order and to perfection with a crispy flatbread taste.There is also a unique selection of beverages including wine, yager, and apple beer in cans. Loved my first time. Did I mention there is a parking lot? And don't make the mistake of getting there at the wrong time, this place gets packed up early. It would be nice to have seating dedicated to those waiting for to-go orders. Definitely look fwd to making this a usual.

Everything I've had here has been great. There's some amazing "finishing drizzles" to try that I wish I had discovered sooner. They sell cinnamon rolls across the street, but I wish they sold them out of the main restaurant. Go for your standard pizza toppings, or try something completely different. Either way, you won't be sorry.

When we arrived there was a line and it went really quick. There were people outside telling us about the place and the people who owns it. Gave us more information on what kind of pizza they had. Place is very small but was told they are opening one in Antioch and another building down the street for Togo order and catering. I had the P.R.E.M Pizza it was good. I would come back and try another one.

This by far is the best local pizza I have had. I love the nostalgic feel of the environment. Bringing back Hip Hop in the 80s and 90s. I love the culture of this place seal with a love of pizza affectionately deemed p r e a.m. direct relation to the Wu-Tang classic cream. Or so I think. This food is amazing. Custom-made pizzas to go Orchard I mean. They also have a table off to the side of various sauces to try on the pizza my personal favorite is the peach mustard I think that's the name of it. There's also a barbecue pineapple of cilantro Ranch and a balsamic molasses. I tried these three today and they were amazing. The staff is very kind and friendly and I like that. Now listen on ubereats this is a great place to have lunch or dinner. $10 Tuesdays tops off the deal.

Fresh ingredients. Not salty like most pizza counters. Pizza tastes SO lovely! Amazing atmosphere. 90s music and decor.... Fresh Prince and Family Matters played from a projector the times I went. Bathrooms are full of 90s artists quotes and art. The bathroom icons are of Dwayne and Whitley from A Different World. I mean, brilliant owners!

This is the absolute best pizza I've ever tasted! The place is on the small side but the food more than makes up for it. My only complaint is the music is up way too loud but if that's a problem you can always get your food to go! Today 11/18 was my first visit to Slim & husky’s and it was a really great experience. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. I got the Nothing but a “V” thing. I love they have vegan friendly menu. The place was very clean with really good music i couldn’t stop dancing. I highly recommend this place. Another perk they draft beer. I’ll be back and with friends next time.

This was my first time going in to S & H's. I've ordered through GrubHub, but today I wanted to try a made to go 🍕 pizza. I was not disappointed. Smiles were plentiful and the atmosphere was charged with excitement. The words adorning the wall above the door are powerful. Old school music and the chatter of guests made it feel like you were a regular. I ordered a Husky with the spicy red sauce spinach, chicken, black olives, and beef pepperoni! Oh, I can't forget their special blend of cheeses. If you are ever on the north side, drop in. My next visit....I'm trying Cinnamon rolls 😆

I have been wanting to go to Slim & Husky's forever and a day. Last night, my birthday, we did just that. I was not disappointed. We are vegetarians and ordered the California Love and Red Light Special. The sauces were delicious and we were able to add toppings with no extra charge! It was too late for us to sample their selection of locally brewed craft beers... next time. And the staff? Friendly and helpful. In all a wonderful birthday dinner!

Pizza is at least pretty decent. They have very strange pick up procedures for call ahead orders. They send u to the rollout location where they serve cinnamon rolls ...ok? And when you walk in you are met at the door by a pungent smell very reminiscent of expired pork rinds and fresh sewage. A bit over priced but a good pizza place in a pinch.

Lovin' this spot! Came here for some dinner and it did not disappoint one bit. Made a couple of pizzas and it was so good. The dippin' sauces were ridiculously good too—dont sleep on throwing some peach mustard on your slice. Good selection of beers too. I'll definitely be back. The food is good. The music is good. This place is busy! And so good! The pizzas are individual: slim (12") or husky (16"), and you can choose every topping as you move down the line before baking. The spiced pepperoni is delicious! They also have a patio and serve beer.

This could possibly be the best pizza in nashville! We had a specialty pizza and a make your own- which you can put unlimited toppings on! Both pizzas were so good I couldn't pick a favorite. And the white sauce really is slammin! The atmosphere was great, the music was great, and everyone was really friendly. We will be back soon and in the mean time telling all of our friends about it.
