Great stone cooked pizza. Nice bar area with small stage for live music. We came for lunch, so it was a slower crowd. Nice short walk from the Country Music Hall of Fame. Great mid-day stop. Plenty of TVs to catch the game. Lots of options on tap.

Had a vegan pizza here. I had a bit of high expectations from earlier reviews about the vegan pizza. It was OK, but it tasted mostly like bread with vegetables on it. The vegan cheese helped a bit. The pizza bread was great! Staff was friendly. Nice rooftop views.

Stopped in here for the rooftop experience! Lots of stairs, but totally worth it! The staff is friendly and the drinks are actually affordable. The view is as good as any you will find. Make sure you hit the restroom before you make the climb, just a heads-up! The drink selection is, again, as you would expect. Happy Partying ya'll!

So happy we found this place!!! As a strict gluten free diner I couldn’t find anything to eat at the Broadway bars! Had the best gluten free pizza here! It was Soooo good we went back the next day for more!!!! And the entertainment was excellent too! Definitely check it out you will love it!!!

Loved the Pizza and the Frozen Coke Rum Drink. Our waitress was so nice. I wish the had Tshirts to buy here. Definitely a must if you want a great pizza in Broadway.

Currently in Nashville for the first time ever and this is the first place I've been taken to eat and (excuse my language) holy sh*t it's amazing. I'd give it 10 stars if I could! The food is top tier, the wait staff is amazing, the music is such a vibe! I will DEFINITELY be coming back whenever I visit next!

1/24/22 I ate here in broadway. I would recommend the Buffalo pizza. I tried the jam n juice drink & didn’t like it. The staff are very welcoming & I loved the band who played that’s from Connecticut.

We hung out on the rooftop and enjoyed some pizza, listening to the hustle and bustle of the street below. The staff were great and attentive! Overall felt like it was a great space to escape the craziness of Broadway but still capture some live music.

They have a Jack and Coke slushie machine!! So awesome. Mellow mushroom makes a good pizza and is a welcome break from all the fried chicken and BBQ. They offered a gluten free crust and a dairy free cheese for those with dietary restrictions or preferences. Live music and great service for weekday lunch

Very busy 8/16 with bars and Jackson Browne/James Taylor at Bridgestone. The live music was good, but so loud the staff couldn't seem to hear our orders. The pizza was good for this standard chain. Gluten free options are exceptional. The service was abysmal. There must have been a staff change? No refills. A server came back to ask who ordered what? We had to flag down staff not only for food and beverages, but we needed to pay! The biggest drawback was poor customer service.

Delicious food but not "mellow." I appreciate that they had vegan options. Their veggie pizza with vegan cheese was very good. I ordered "half" a pretzel and thought the price was a bit high until they arrived. Turns out, the pretzels are homemade and the "half" portion is three pretzels! These apps are meant to be shared. The pretzels were incredibly good (even with vegan subs) and the marinara went well with them. I ended up having 2/3 pretzels and a small veggie pizza which made up my lunch and dinner that day so good portions. The not mellow part: the band that was playing was painfully loud. We couldn't even yell at each other and my ears were physically hurting from the volume used. Granted, they are on Broadway so live music is to be expected but the decibels were too high for us. Still, delicious food to go. The waitstaff was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

The entertainment was great Loud Bill and the Bruins. Had the wedge salad that was good. And the cheese bread was okay and my husband had a cheeseburger said it was pretty good but the bun was a little chewy maybe from being microwaved? A fun night definitely would like to go back to this place!

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Had the sheep cheese, tastes exactly like regular mozzarella, pizza was amazing!!! Nice atmosphere as well. Staff was very inviting, helpful, and kind. Food and service were outstanding. First band was pretty good; acoustic guitar and singer. Second was a 3 piece and they started at midnight drunk levels of volume with half the place empty. Had to get check and leave immediately for the sake of my ears. I guess everywhere is like that down there on broad.

This is a chain restaurant that doesn’t feel like one. We stopped into their location on music row while in Nashville. We’ve had great experiences at their location in Ft Worth, TX. This location did not disappoint. Friendly staff, good live music, great pizza. Highly recommend!

I wanna say that this is a really appetizing place, but is just about above average when it comes to food and service. The pizzas are good, you can tell from biting into the crust that it's a better quality pie and their signature creations are nice. The drinks are a hit or miss. I didn't like the hot Rita at all - too sour and sweet with an unwanted spice kick. The mellow melon is alright. The service was really slow as they seemed short of staff and there was a kitchen order backlog. Although the servers were courteous and provided us a complimentary cheesy bread. Since we were so hungry, I suppose we enjoyed the pizza more. Mellow mushroom is mellow like it's name, nothing exciting, just easy on it's plate.

This place was great. Got to eat, drink, and look out over downtown Nashville. The pizza tasted great, with awesome ingredients, and fast service. Only down sides are no tap for beer on the roof (but a great selection), not enough shade, and the lady downstairs singing the wrong words to Zac Brown Band.

I always love going to the Mellow Mushroom because they have an 80's and 90's rock vibe. The atmosphere is one of my favorites on Broadway.This particular time the experience wasn't the best. They stopped letting you order food at 11pm. It was New Year's eve...that made no sense to me. We were only able to order slices of pizza and that was ok, but we ordered like 12 slices...just bring us a pizza? And our wait for drinks took forever! It wasn't even packed upstairs, but service was slow.

Omg is all I can say! The pizza the service the atmosphere all amazing! My first time in Nashville and I was so impressed by everything there. But we Decided to eat here and we weren't disappointed 😋. The bar has 3 or maybe 4 floors every floor packed out with people! Pretty much every bar is like that on Broadway street. We sat on the top rooftop floor. This place has amazing food! The pizza was phenomenal! So many interesting combinations to choose from! They had a mango Habenero margarita that was to die for! I can't wait to come here again!!! Wish Nashville was closer to Texas!!

My wife is gluten free (not celiac but reacts strongly to any gluten). I always order a separate pizza because if I’m eating pizza calories, I want GOOD pizza and you can’t find good gluten free pizza anywhere. First of all, my pizza was amazing, but her GF pizza was the best she has ever had. I tried hers and could not tell the difference. Hands down the best GF pizza I have ever tried. Plus the regular pizza was also one of the best I have had!

I only gave 4 stars for service because the bouncer took my water bottle. I was very drunk and definitely needed water. Plus, a bottle of water from a bar across the street is very expensive. The pizza was awesome, but again, I was drunk, lol.

Visiting Nashville and decided to try out a Local "pie". Wild In Havana is a very unique sounding pie, and believe me it's a must try! Great tasting dough that's said to be made with spring water. This pie has a surprising kick to it. Recommend going on a limb and trying it out..

They offer decent vegan options which are a rarity in Nashville. Nice rooftop patio with rowdy patrons, but that’s to be expected in this area.

This bar was so cute! Great band playing the night we were there. They even have a rooftop area! It's a lot of stairs to climb and you can't hear the band from there so it's like a totally different bar, but it's definitely a cool little spot in the middle of Broadway in Nashville! So great views!

If you're like me and LOVE pizza, you'll love this! The waitresses were all so sweet and helpful! My husband and I both ordered small pizzas, 4 slices, and it was plenty, I couldn't finish mine! I built my own and he got half Hawaiian and half BBQ, he wishes he would've gotten a whole BBQ!

The food and the music was great. We went to the rooftop bar to see what was happening up there. There wasn't a band playing but the best entertainment came from the bartenders. AJ was great at bartending and is very pretty. We had the best time talking with her and the guy that was working there with her. She has been bartenders there for a long time and she us great at what she does. I will definitely going back to tge rooftop bar and hopefully she will be airing there again. I would recommend the frozen Jack and Coke for everyone to try. Thank fully they difnt have any frozen jack and coke downstairs but AJ had it upstairs. Stop by and give it a try and go upstairs to see AJ.

Got tired of waiting for service, it wasn't busy. Reduced the order from a full size pizza to just a slice for each of us. Even at that, the cost was close to $30 for sweet tea, a mixed drink, and a slice. Two people.

We came in not many people in here just a few tables ordered our food took about 15-20 minutes for our one large pizza which was good maybe would be nice to have a cover to keep in the heat since it is chilly now outside that comes inside. This is our go to honky tonk. Outside of a single outrageously loud band, every other band has been great. Wild Bill and the Bruisers is awesome. The food is great, solid beer menu, and just classic relaxed atmosphere. Cloud9 wings might be the best wings I've ever had.

We had a fun night at Mellow Mushroom. Enjoyed the live music. Our waitress Amanda was great! Busy place and she still came to our table several times to check on us! Pizza was delicious. Perfectly cooked. We will definately be back next time we are in Nashville. Only complaint was the music was so loud we had to yell our order to our waitress. Otherwise loved it!

We ordered two small sized pizzas and a burger, unfortunately the meat of the burger is not well done even though we asked it to be so. Thankfully, the waitress did notice it and made the burger free of charge. I love LIVE music too!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at downtown mellow mushroom. The server was attentive and personable and she went above and beyond with what was expected of her. She didn’t write down any of our order despite it being large and particular. Me and my wife were particularly impressed with the accuracy of her memory. Naifeh was our server and she deserves to be wined, dined, and cherished at her occupation and outside. Love to all the pizza lovers nationwide. We will get through these trying times together🍕🤪

Oddly enough I didn't even realize this was a mellow mushroom until we left, it's definitely not the type of mellow mushroom I am used to visiting. The draw here was their rooftop bar, unfortunately getting there requires some work, so loosen up those legs and hope for a glass of water at the top. The rooftop is quite comfortable, the friendly staff are all over it and make a great drink, even at their busiest times they don't miss a beat. Cheers!

Good pizza, friendly service. I've been to a few other locations and enjoyed the atmosphere. I didn't care much for this location. Being on Broadway, it was just like any other bar on that street: too loud and too crowded. I guess that it is fitting for where it's located, but it's just not my thing.

We visited on Friday evening and we were took our seats in PJ's section. PJ has a great sense of humor & he is always smiling. He wins the hat flipping contest over the "Mike's" behind the bar. The band was playing some southern rock and by the time we left Metallica was headbanging. Cocktails were refreshing and dairyfree, vegan pizza was AMAZING!!!! Service and drinks are great! Not to mention the food came out quickly and was delicious, the pizzas in particular were yummy. Being from Miami I was surprised at how good the Havana pizza is! Would recommend for something a little different. Our bartender was Naftalin (whose name I definitely butchered) and he was absolutely awesome. Quick service and super friendly.

Multi floor style was awesome. Rooftop had a great view. Pizzas are unique and delicious. Pretty cool drink menu as well. Unfortunately the waiter was incredibly slow. He was either new or just did not want to work. It was an ordeal just to get drink refills and splitting the check seemed to be a mountain of a task.

Went with a group of 5 on a Saturday night. Had a bad experience with bartender and server the first visit. Spoke with the manager about experience. Both managers personally took the time to apologize, introduce themselves, and invite us back for a complimentary dinner. Brought shots on the house the same night. We came back the next day for dinner and had a new server and bartender. Both of them were wonderful! The managers came back to thank us for giving them another chance. Their pizza is AMAZING! Will definitely return in the future. I cant thank the managers enough for going above and beyond for us after being displeased. They truly are wonderful!

I had 2 different experiences here. The first time it was very good. The service, food, drinks, and music were all great. The 2nd time we came back later at night. I knew to expect it to be busy, and the service was fine. My biggest problems were that the band was terrible, and we were served burnt pizza. The bartender offered it to us at a discount since it was the last pizza they had. I would've rather they just claimed that they were all out of pizza for the night. So, we'll say 5 stars earlier in the night, and 2 stars when they have a bad band and serve burnt pizza.

Pretty refreshing to dip into this bar after running the strip for some delicious pizza, nice little atmosphere with a stage and great service. At the time I was sitting at the bar and the bartender was getting visibly frustrated with the amount of guests that were stiffing him tips even though he was doing a great job given the time of night and how crowded it was. We came to eat at Mellow Mushroom on a moderately busy Sunday night. The service was great & the pizza was even better. We got the meaty pizza with jalapenos. Usually, I don't eat the crust because it's wasted/empty calories, but the dough was too good to waste. Also, the bacon on the meaty pizza were actual pieces of cooked strips of bacon. Would highly recommend this pizza joint.

The pizza here is very above average. I left very satisfied with my meal. Be forewarned, the Broadway location means that loud live music will provide the soundtrack to your meal, and the staff isn’t exactly the most warm, patient, and attentive. Price point was a bit high for my liking, and I probably wish I went to an off Broadway location. When all is said and done, I wasn’t disappointed when I walked out the door, which is really all I can ask for these days.

Great location downtown and a fun spot to hang out at. We sat on the rooftop for lunch but there were 4 floors in total to choose from. The pretzel bites are a must. Food otherwise was average and on the smaller side portion wise. It did take a long time to receive our food so don’t go if you are in a rush.

Food and service here was very good. We were on the rooftop and it was peacefully low noise with two artists performing on acoustic guitars. Tried a pineapple cider for the first time, now I got to special order it to have it again. Being on the rooftop was nice because it allowed us to get away from the loudness that was street level, while still enjoying the atmosphere of Broadway.

son was in town yesterday and we came to walk around. he picked place to eat. first time at mellow mushroom. I do realize place was very busy . we ate second floor. ordered chicken pizza and three Pretzels with beer cheese-salted. wait was pretty long but got Pretzels with marinara sauce and not salted . was told out of beer cheese .ok Pretzels were still good . 5 min later table beside us gers Pretzels with beer cheese . hummm . first time eating chicken pizza and will say it was good . would have been even better if it was hot. yes it was cold. we ate anyway after long wait and still left a good tip. was not he waiter fault she was slammed and done a wonderful job . probley won't make a return trip but thats just me . good atomasphere and music.

Came in on a night where the band was playing 90's grunge, 90's alternative, heavy metal, and country...and it was all good. The vibe at this place is cool and comfortable. The pizza is stellar, if you like thin crust like NYC Pizza. Only thing is the crunch of the crust is inconsistent. Sometimes it's snappy and other times it's a soggy mess.

Stopped in just as a meeting point with some friends and ended up staying though the lunch bands set. They were really good and staff were really friendly. Only ordered appitizers and drinks, but they were good. Even went back later that night and checked out the rooftop. That was great as well. Got a nice spot in the corner, so was we were able to listen to the music and see all the choas below. Really enjoyed ourselves. Also great location because it was easy to get in and out of the area, u like some of the other bars down the street.

Music was extremely to loud, yes I know this is music City and live music is the thing to have but we ended up on the 2nd floor and still could hardly hear the waitress when she came to take our order. The food was very good but I ordered a small pizza, she put in a medium and brought a medium, I told her then that I had ordered the small but she said well you asked how big the Medium was, which I did but I then ordered the Small. She never offered to change anything. I asked for a side of sauce and it finally arrived at the end of the meal with the to go box and I was charged extra for the sauce. This was on Saturday afternoon around 4:30, it took forever to get our order and it just wasn't a great experience like we expected. We ate at the Mellow Mushroom in St. Augustine, FL and it was fantastic, the setting was great, the staff was very professional and it was priced reasonable. We paid over $60 for a kids cheese pizza, a calzone, and my pizza. I don't think I should have been charged for the Medium when it wasn't my fault that she put it in wrong. They also charged for my sons drink which from what I understand should have come with the meal. I feel like we paid about $15 to much for her mistake in size, which caused each add-on item to be higher and then the drink which was $2.99. Overpriced, extremely loud, and service was not great. Will not go back to this particular location again. Will eat at others but this one just didn't measure up to us.

If you need a place to have lunch no matter the size of your group, go here. We had tried two other places and they were very rude. We walked in to Mellow Mushroom and they didn’t even bat an eye and the hostess rushed of to get our table ready. The bartender came over to check on us. Once we were seating we mention we were extremely thirsty and the bartender brought pitcher of water for us as we waited on our server. Food came out hot and delicious and as it also hard with a large group, the waiter was patient and cool and met all of our needs. Kudos to management and kudos to the staff.

This was our first time at a Mellow Mushroom. We were in vacation in Nashville and hungry for pizza. The location was only 2 blocks from where we were and they had a live band playing (as with most places on Broadway). We ordered a small House Special pizza and one draft beer. Total cost $25 with tip. Pizza was loaded with fresh ingredients and delicious! We will definitely try Mellow Mushroom again.

Actually the Mellow Mushroom was next door. We went to Allen Jackson's place and the music was fantastic!!! Loved it! Our only complaint was they only had a bag of chips for food. So get dinner before you come here and then sit back and enjoy the great music and drinks.

This place was okay. Good pizza, on par scene and a serviceable environment. The problem is that they have medical shot cups which include measurement amounts on them, which would be a great idea if the bartender knew how many ounces are actually in a shot. It may not be her fault as she was instructed by her boss that a shot is 1 oz. and not 1.5 oz, which a proper jigger is. Her bad move is that after she acknowledged I had been shortchanged, she did nothing to remedy the situation. This is after spending a large sum of money there as well.

Went here because we had not had a decent tasting meal yet and we wanted something we knew would taste good. It did not disappoint. The bruschetta and hummus was AWESOME! I also had the meat pizza which was quite yummy. Service was ok. We were on the roof which was great but we would totally have rather gone to the 2nd floor bar....only reason we didn't was the door was stuck and really hard to pull as we were coming up the stairs and we all thought it was closed. So pull that door hard. That floor is nice.

My children love mellow mushroom and every time we go out of town we eat at mellow mushroom. I love Nashville so much and I could not wait for all of us to eat at the one on Broadway. My daughter is 6 and loves Mac and cheese all of the other locations we have been at offers a kid menu with Mac and cheese this one did not. So we ended up staying she did not eat and it was not a good experience for her. She was so disappointed. Other than than the service was pretty good

After a straight 13 Hour drive from Toronto Canada to Nashville TN on Sun Sept 15/2019. We hit the Streets of downtown Nashville and had a blast visiting a few gift shops and several bars. When we walked into the Mellow Mushroom and sat to enjoy the music of an Absolutely Fantastic Band.!!! Never caught their Band name that night which I regret as I would have loved to buy a C.D. from them. The array of songs they played that night from old, new, rock, country, was Amazing and kept us in the Bar alot longer then we entended to stay. We drank, we bought shots for us & the band members of 4, we ate fantastic food and had a Blast. We just could Not pull ourselves away to go elsewhere! In Fact we closed the bar that night...😄. Staff was Great and Band was totally Awesome!!!! Thanks for a Great time and the Awesome memories we now take home to Toronto Canada ❤️😄. God Bless to everyone that had a part of our night..

If you like Mellow Mushroom restaurants, you have to visit the Downtown Nashville location. The menu is shortened but the choices are still outstanding. The pizzas are still of the same quality as you've known. The restaurant location is still new and the service is very good. I just hope it stays that way. Downtown Nashville restaurants are known for hiring lazy, pathetic servers and bartenders that ruin restaurant images. This location also has live music on the first floor. It can be loud but you have the option to sit upstairs and enjoy a quieter meal. Give this new location of Mellow Mushroom a try when you're in the downtown area.

Service was slow. We had to find our own table, ask for it to be cleaned, and then the server just brought a towel for us to clean it. My chef salad was basically just lettuce but okay. My hubby's sausagefest calzone was really tasty. We had to split our own check (group of 8) and it took 30 min to settle up. Also, it was loud. We were on the 2nd floor which was better but still sometimes hard to hear the person next to us.

Heck, I thought I added words to this review. I see Mellow Mushroom thanked me for the 5 stars and that made me realize I didn't write text! My bad! I've lived in Nashville 20 years, and I'll tell you the 4 or 5 hours I spent at Mellow Mushroom in Downtown Nashville was one of the most fun experiences I've had here! WOW! First, the staff was just soooo cool. My mom and sister were visiting from up north to see Willie Nelson, and the waiter told my mom within minutes of meeting her that he just loved her! She was so happy; that alone was worth the trip. Then there's the food - Mellow is known for great pizza and they didn't disappoint. Not the best part - they had a band there; Moonshine Outlaws - OMG that group was so incredible! My whole family loved them and their music and humor and friendliness. So the combo of amazing staff, great food, and a fantastic band are all the hallmarks that should make you stop in here when you are in town.

The mellow mushroom that was once in Maryland sadly shut down and this was a pleasant surprise to find during my road trip. Like other restaurants and bars in the area oh, there is live music in addition to delicious food. There are great options for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. This venue is also night around 10 at night because it wasn't too packed and there were seats ready and waiting for us. I miss this place.

Good for a small meal and great music. I like the space in front of the stage to dance. But we had to wait a long time for even just our sandwiches. The hummus came out frozes and was thrown away from the waitress as we asked to warm it up in the microwave for us.

In Nashville two nights and went here both nights. Went back the second evening for the mushroom pizza! Sat on second level the first evening. You can enjoy your food and the music which plays on the lower level. Sat on the roof top second evening where there is also music and food. People were nice. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because the bar area we initially sat on rooftop was so sticky. Both the counter top and drink menu.

If you are in a party state of mind. Love it loud and want the downtown Nashville experience, by all means goooooo! We sat right over the band all 3 times I've been. It is loud and busy. Go in and find your own seat , if you can. Fortunately I was able to get a table immediately. Lucky tho. Waiter came fairly quick and took order. Pizza and cheesy bread came fast. Great experience. Did I mention it was loud? 🤠. Go in and stairs are immediately on ur left. Bathroom up there is past bat on et. They are not real noticeable so look up above doors for sign in paint. We go before Preds game. In and out very reasonably.

I had never been to this particular Mellow Mushroom, but I loved it. MM does a great job of molding to whatever city they are in. This one has very fun yet stereotypical Nashville decor. The great thing was that even at lunch they had a great musician performing on their stage. Pizza was tasty and they did a great job of navigating one of our parties dietary restrictions.

After being treated poorly at a few of the more famous bars on Broadway we walked passed Mellow Mushroom and were greeted by two extremely polite gentlemen Jock and Nick. This was our first time in Nashville and we were happy to see a familiar place. The place was packed, but we found a table for two on the 2nd floor. Shane did a great job as our server. Our pizza was delayed, but once we got it, we were not disappointed. We go to a Mellow Mushroom every time we travel and love that each one is different, but the food is always consistent. As a traveling vegan with kids, this place had some really great food to eat. We tried the pizza, the tempeh hoagie, and the tofu hoagie. I thought the tempeh hoagie was a bit "meh" compared to the rest, but the rest was out of this world. Perhaps this is obvious to anyone in Nashville, too, but this was not the best place to bring kids in the early evening for dinner. The music was loud (and great), and some rowdy bar patrons were buying everyone shots. I think I probably just sold everyone on Mellow Mushroom. 5 stars is service had been a wee bit faster and the tempeh hoagie had been a little tastier. I'd definitely go back.
