What an absolute gem in the Germantown neighborhood. This place feels like you have wandered into your family's Italian kitchen. They have incredible sandwiches, fresh pastas you can get right from the deli area or packaged so you can take them home. The variety and the quality of everything is top notch! Sweetest people behind the counter making sure everyone has a great experience shopping there or just grabbing a quick lunch. If I was a chef this would be a one stop shop for so many quality items like specialized olive oils, fresh baked bread, fresh cheeses, and much more. Highly recommend this spot for your next Italian dinner party prep or a quick sandwich at lunch. We will back to shop for our next charcuterie board night. Plenty of parking at the lot right next to this place. Run, don't walk to this little slice of Italy right here in Nashville.

Decided to check out this Italian market and to my surprise they have a restaurant. We had the spicy Italian sandwich and it was very good! I will definitely come back. Overall, very authentic and great service!

Yallllll! This place was, I would say one of the Best parts of our Spring Break trip to Tennessee! The smell took me back to my childhood. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the kindest Grandma behind the register, I hate I can't remember her name! To the literal last bite we took! We went back 3 times in 2 days, NO JOKE! Twice in one day! Lol! I even have a little Piece of Little Hats in my freezer here in Texas. 4 servings of soup and frozen Pizza dough! The Food is top notch, however the staff is one of a kind. We are already planning our next trip in August and will be returning asap for more soup! Share with all your friends.. I know I am! See y'all soon!

The meatball sub is hands down the best meatball sandwich I’ve ever had. Owners are friendly and the shop is everything you could want from an Italian market/Deli. Haven’t had ingredients this fresh in a long time.

Little Hats is a total gem! I live in the neighborhood so it’s very convenient to walk over for lunch or dinner, but you can’t beat the location in general. The staff is always friendly and it feels like a genuine family environment. The market is stocked with goodies to take home, and the menu is top notch. I always get the spicy Italian or the meatball and I’ve never encountered anything other than the highest quality. My best friend visited me last month from Atlanta and I made sure to take her here. She is still talking about how it was one of the best meals she’s ever had (she had the ham & cheese)! Bottom line…come to Little Hats. You won’t regret it!! PS- to the person who gave 4 stars simply because the meatball had pesto on it…maybe don’t order a sandwich with something you don’t like on it? Or simply ask for no pesto! The staff is incredibly accommodating :)

This place has the potential to be great! We ordered the meatball and Italian subs. Both had good quality ingredients but lacked a wow factor. The bread is too dense so it felt like we were eating bread with a side of toppings. Once they change their sub rolls, the food will taste much better.

Been looking forward to Little Hats opening! Had the meatball and the eggplant sandwiches. Loved them both but was especially impressed with the eggplant, even my husband was asking for another bite. Thoughtfully curated selection of Italian foods like dried pastas, olive oils, fresh cheeses, jarred sauces and more. Can’t wait to go back!

Best sandwich I’ve had in my life - this is not an exaggeration 🤩 Ok, so I eat Italian sandwiches wherever I go, if there’s a sandwich shop, that’s what I’m getting. The Spicy Italian at LH blows me away every time 🌶️ My pro tip is to sub the bread, I ask for it on Focaccia instead. (Little Hats peeps pls don’t hate me for sharing my secret) I could eat this every day, and still miss it.

Fantastic store, small adorable Italian store. We were able to pick up incredible cheeses, breads and amazing subs. We order the subs ahead and they were ready for pickup. The lady who works the front counter was very pleasant and very kind. A must for anyone who travels near Nashville! 11/10

What an unexpected and wonderful surprise. Ordered muffaletta and sausage/peppers sandwiches, just fabulous. Wonderful staff, nice selection of market items (pasta!) to take home. I'm descended from Sicilian immigrants who came to New Orleans and know what this menu ought to taste like. It does! Look forward to a return visit.

Yes! We have arrived! The food here was so fresh and so delicious! If I lived in Nashville I would be here at least once a month! LI cals can buy dough and all the ingredients for homemade pizza or pasta. Bulk olive oil, cheeses, olives, and more. We ordered amazing salads and eggplant sandwiches. Vegetarians can find a great meal and you can also satisfy the Chicago Beef sandwich craving! Buon appetito Nashville!

Their food is incredible. It feels very traditional and I feel is one of the best Italian deli's in the Nashville. They have a cool little market with authentic Italian products. I recommend you check it out.

Mouthwatering, succulent deliciousness, that’s what Little Hat’s Market serves. Had the meatball sub and the spicy Italian sub, had so much flavor it almost knocked my socks off. It made my tastebuds activate the pleasure center in my brain and my pallet wants more. I saw some of the most hardworking good people dedicated to detail and perfection and they nailed it. Don’t forget to try the cheesecake cannoli, you’ll thank me later. Definitely will be back, it’s killing these other sandwiches shops with it’s style and flare. Yummmm!!!!!

We live in the neighborhood and this has become one of our favorite spots. Huge fans of the tiramisu- but the spicy Italian (big enough to share for folks complaining about price), Mac n cheese, and other sides are great. I’m not Italian or from the north like some of the others with poor reviews so I don’t have their “enlightened” perspective (🙄), but for us it’s the best deli in the neighborhood. Plus the staff are always lovely.

Grateful to have this place in my neighborhood. The manager (?) is friendly and has hooked us up on occasion. I have some thoughts: -the arancini balls are banging -the caprese sandwich could be improved -fantastic selection of frozen pasta -please bring back the wedge salad -please start selling wine!!

I love what this place is trying to do. It is a place to get a delicious sandwich and maybe a few things to take home for dinner. The store front is cool and the staff was really nice. The flavors are great, but the execution needs work. My sausage, peppers, and onions sandwich tasted great, until I got to the middle and bit into cold pieces of sausage. However, the parts of the sandwich that were warm, were quite delicious. I do echo the sentiment of another reviewer who doesn’t care for the bread. The bread used for the sandwiches is dense, and gets too dry and crumbly when toasted. This is not my idea of a good bread for a sandwich and makes it hard to eat. If they would use a different bread, this place would be hard to beat.

Everything here is phenomenal! The staff could not be nicer and more helpful. I love the sandwiches (especially the prosciutto & mozz) and they have the best selection of Italian cooking products. As a native New Yorker, it is a blessing having this shop open in Nashville!

Stopped in for lunch a few days ago while on a short weekend trip to Nashville. Great find in Germantown! Nice little Italian market that serves up all the specialties that would put a smile on the face of my Neapolitan mother-in-law. Gourmet sandwiches, salads, sauces, pasta and even cannolis! I had the meatball sandwich served on an Italian baguette. Very tasty- marinara was on point, but while I do love pesto- it has no business being on a meatball sandwich in my opinion, thus the four stars. Definitely worth a visit, and I will return when I get back to Music City.

Really tasty food! I’ve gotten the spicy Italian a few times and it’s been great every time. My boyfriend loves the meatball sandwich. We also have picked up the frozen ravioli (a few different flavors) and have been super impressed by those.

Great Italian deli vibe. Great staff. Ordered Spicy Italian Sandwich, not authentic. I was hoping for Molinari meats or equivalent. Meat was closer to what you would find at Kroger. I was hoping for a Sourdough bread option and soft bread not a hard hoagie or sub bread. Potato salad was excellent - tons of flavor. Not the “San Francisco” Italian deli I’m used to but will be back to try the meatball sub and their other pastas. Suggestion - take the Jalapeños and pickles off of the Spicy Italian sandwich and go easy on the sauce. True spicy Italian sandwiches have spice in the meats - not in a sauce. Sauce is a nice added touch but overpowering. Newer deli so I’m going to give it another try!

Saw this place on social media and wanted to check it out. Me and my fiancée went in and were automatically greeted by super friendly staff ready to explain any of the products we wanted to know about. We decided on their frozen cheese tortellini and bolognese sauce to make for dinner as well as some gelato and when we got to the counter the staff asked if we wanted to sample any of their fresh meats and cheese. They were so nice and it was such an amazing experience talking and getting their opinion on each one we tried and it tasted so good we ended up adding some onto our purchase. The pasta and sauce as well as the gelato was so delicious and super easy to prepare. The staff even gave us tips on some things to add to the sauce to make it last longer and enhance the taste! Overall the entire experience was amazing start to finish and very wallet friendly. We will definitely be going here again!

Everything i’ve tried here is incredible. From the meatball sandwich to the panna cotta. We also got pizza dough marinara sauce and mozzarella and made an incredible pizza. Also, the people working here are the nicest and most polite group of people ever.

What a great addition to the neighborhood. I enjoyed the meatball sub. We also had pasta and caprese from the cold case. Cooked up some of their ravs too. Also bought a pizza kit which comes with dough sauce and cheese. I wish they sold beer and wine especially for dine-in on a sunny afternoon.

Review only for shelf goods! Purchased olive oil, balsamic vinegar and peppers bruschetta spread. Was not worth it as I could’ve gotten better quality at Whole Foods. They had subpar shelf products from Italy for the price they charge. Great employees that made the experience pleasant nonetheless.

Go and visit "Little Hats" and recapture and reminisce the flavor of every Little Italy neighborhoods in the past. Places with great street food, lunchmeats and Italian imports. Something which was needed in Nashville. Right in the heart of German Town is this small gem. I opened several restaurants in and around Tennessee and I can really say that Chef Andrew knows and is familiar with Italian flavors. "Alla salute e buon cibo !"

Little Hats Market is a great neighborhood Italian market and deli. The service was friendly. They have outdoor seating so you can bring your dog, which is a bonus. We enjoyed the Little Hats Soup which included cheese tortellini and fresh mushrooms in a flavorful chicken brodo. The mixed greens salad was fresh and delicious. The crumbled goat cheese and Castelvetrano olives are a nice touch. The chicken parmigiana sandwich was good - not too heavy.

Really neat market. We got sandwiches. Meatball with pesto was really good. I got a half sandwich ($8) and it had a lot of meatballs in it, around 5-6. Also got the Eggplant Parmesan sandwich. It had a really good flavor. The pickles were definitely homemade and so good! Would definitely go back! Our total was $24. There is some parking.

I live right near Little Hats and enjoy going there for their sandwiches and market section. Things are always great, but it’s continually frustrating that there are prices on items, but when they ring them up (and don’t give you a way to see the price of the item that they ring up), the prices almost never match what they’re listed on the product as when you get to see your reciept after you checked out. Mind you, it’s only 2-3 dollars more, but still frustrating because it feels like they’re ripping you off. It also adds up when you’re buying several items.
