I was looking for a taco place downtown & this place did not disappoint!! Fun to have live music while we were eating. Jordy King was really fun & a great performer. Tacos were delicious!!! Carnitas & Grilled chicken tacos were our favorite. Great flavor & great presentation. Loved the vibes of this restaurant. Went during the day, but I can imagine nights here are really busy. Staff was great & very attentive for drink refills & ordering. 100% recommend to anyone in the area!!

Visited 5-13-22... Pretty small bar by comparison to those in the area, single floor and space, stage at the center and bar in between with the restrooms to back and right. Simplistic layout, easy enough to get seated, which is what had appealed us to come in. We wanted to eat, and it offered a rare place to be seated and get served in a timely manner, near the strip. Live music, parr for the course for the area, and he was "OK..." Customer service was phenomenal. Our waiter was quick and pretty on point, so as well as those walking by, who made sure to check on us too, which typically doesn't happen at places. Crowd was extremely broad, but ranged between 30 and 50s, I'd say. Food was delicious, and well worth the price. Nice place just slightly off the strip, but close enough to the action, that served great beer, whiskey, and food. If you're hungry and looking for a spot, highly recommend this one, for the area.

The food was ok. The margaritas were just ok. I went with a party of 5 and no one was really impressed with the food. It’s not bad it’s just ok. On a positive it’s right off the strip and easy to get to. The lights on the street gives walking to the restaurant a nice atmosphere at night. Now I can say everyone we came across was really friendly and they did have live music. So it is a nice little spot to experience with a pretty good size bar.

Great great great food, amazing vibe, and music was awesome. Staff was so friendly and accommodating to food allergies . Fast service ! First time in Nashville and we walked around looking for our first meal in Nashville . Broadway restaurants were a bit crazy it was the Santa Con celebration. We were looking for a place we could have a conversation yet didn’t want to sacrifice the live entertainment experience . This place hit all the marks!

We went to get some appetizers and drinks, but the bartender just closed out our tab. we ordered our drinks and asked for menus, she asked if we wanted to start a tab, we said that would be great, then she brought us our shots and bill and didn’t check on us again. After awhile of being ignored we just got food elsewhere. But the place looked really clean and had a nice environment.

Great servers, good drinks and a really nice atmosphere. Of the main strip allows it to be a little more quiet and intimate. We watched several different performers over a couple different visits and they were all great. Whomever selects the stage talent is doing a great job. Well definitely return

Great music, drinks, and service. Big clean nice modern bar that is way fun. Bartenders and owner are there having fun signing along with the crowd. Love that the windows open so you can hear the music and let it draw you in. Much better than the over crowded places on the strip. Highly recommended!

Cerveza Jack's 8/5/2021 The drinks were made well . Bartender was friendly . Customers seem to be enjoying themselves . Live music was just loud enough to hear enjoy and still speak and be heard . Which really helps with ordering . Just had drinks I was on a mission . Food on next trip . Had a great time here . Only negative is the cost of the bucket after you have paid for the outlaw mule is an additional 5$ not cool . Ok now I understand , the price of the drink was great and probably should of shared it . I didn't realize you didn't want to loose the buckets 🤦🏼‍♂️. In which case I will retract the "not cool " but leave in original review . Thank for the response and explanation .

Great pork and chicken tacos! Loved the music! Not a fan of their Bloody Mary but that doesn't mean you won't like it. (I like Zing Zang...it appears to be a home made mix)

It was pretty expensive for the amount of food that I got which was pretty small. Atmosphere is fine but I was pretty shocked at how easy it was to seat 7 people when you're just right off the main strip. Place was kinda dead. There was live music but the guy wasn't great doing covers but was decent with his originals. Speakers were FAR too loud though.

Saw Emilee Alan sing here last weekend and boy was she GREAT. Didn't try the food but the beers were a bit overpriced ... $7 or $8 for a Modelo can. Overall a very good experience at Cerveza Jack's.

AMAZING! You can't find a better deal. I had the biggest nacho meal I've ever had for $8.50. Can't beat that. Also the food was so fresh. Clean floors and clean tables. Food was refreshing. Also cured my hangover. Very friendly and professional staff. Thank you!!!

The live music was too loud; to the point that it was mostly annoying. There are almost no vegetarian options. I did not really like the quinoa salad. Nachos were good. Service was great.

Came for lunch. Great, low-key bar atmosphere with live music. Happened to be taco Tuesday - so the prices were great! The fundido was awesome. The tacos were good - not great. They were a little cold but well-flavored. Our server was great and helpful.

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Great atmosphere- they had live music last night (excellent performer). I got the fajita machete and my husband got the taco bowl. Drinks were a little pricey but common for downtown... they averaged around $10. Would definitely return!!

The nachos were really good, especially the candied jalapeños. The size of the tacos were a lot larger in terms of stuffing ingredients than other street tacos which makes them worth the price. Also got the medium bloody which even though is made with mix, it had a great balance and taste. Only issue was while our server was friendly the speed of service especially getting the check was slow.

What a fun bar! Great live music, reasonable drink prices and the food was so good. "Just one bite, everybody knows the rules...". The Bacon and Shrimp Machete was a solid 8.4!! The food and Atmosphere were so great, we went twice! Large screen TV's hosting a lot of sports, the place had plenty of people, but the waitress.was quick and there was enough seating: all on a Thursday night. Friday night, not a free table in the house at 8pm. Go early!

We went to Cerveza Jack's for lunch on Friday afternoon. The place wasn't overly crowded which is why we went there. The service was good and they had a performer on stage. The real reason this place gets 5 stars is the nachos. They were amazing.

Food was amazing. If the margarita was any indication if the drinks there then they will all be amazing. We ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole. The man singing played a fantastic guitar and had a great tenor voice. He took all music requests without blinking abs covered them perfectly.

TACO TUESDAY! $2 and $3 tacos until 10pm. Hands down the cheeseburger taco is the best. Fish is a runner up. The others are ok but the cheeseburger is a must. They are good size tacos probably a 1/4# of beef on each. There are very few places in Nashville where you can eat for this price. Highly recommend!

Atmosphere and music was good. It was nice to be a little off the main strip that was packed with people. The food was fine - the cauliflower, corn, and quinoa salad was basically just iceberg lettuce with a minuscule amount of any of the three and also didn’t have the black beans the menu promised. The avocado wasn’t skimped on though. The service (and nachos) were really good!

Was craving tacos and stumbled upon this place a little off the beaten path after deciding not to wait for over an hour at Miranda Lambert’s. Got a table here right away and had food and beverage in short order. The margaritas were strong and the tacos fit the bill (particularly the shrimp and carnitas). Chips were tasty too. The music for the evening was provided by a young couple that was entertaining and sounded great. Overall Cerveza Jack’s was a pleasant surprise!

Really cool place on 2nd street. The waitress was awesome and the singer Carl Wockner was a real talent. The food and drink was great. Not a huge place, but it is very comfortable. You can even stand in the street and listen because they keep the windows open.

This was not as crowded as other places around, and the staff was a bit cool at first. But we had a few drinks and listened to the great entertainment, and really enjoyed ourselves. Met another couple we chatted with, and the staff warmed up to us and we ended up having just a terrific time thee !! Would go back for sure. And with it not being so crowded there was a lot of back and forth chat with the band which was hilArious and fun. Good times !! Wish they a larger selection of Craft beer.

One evening we were walking by and heard one of my favourite songs being performed as a mash up by an artist called Carl Wockner so we immediately stopped to go inside. We were greeted by Super friendly and kind staff. We ended up staying for a few hours and felt so well taken care of. We returned again the next night and they remembered us and our order! I love that the restaurant is along section of bars that's lively but, not overcrowded like the ones on Broadway. Highly recommend this place and plan on stopping by again the next time I visit Nashville.

We saw Brad Anderson aka The Human Jukebox here on February 16 2019. The tunes he played were awesome. The crowd was fun and the food was delicious. Our group from Cincy, gathered around an old wire spool table, which was perfect for conversation and people watching. An great “Off Broadway” establishment also here is Brad with his solo acoustic rendition of “Rocky Top”.

Nice place, good music, friendly service. 3 stars due to lack of staff and thus looong wait time. It was 1:30 on a Monday afternoon and took over 20 minutes just to get greeted at the bar.

Service and food was marginal. My shrimp quesadilla was actually gross- it was soggy and runny- very unappetizing. The entertainment was great and the place was on a more quiet street. Having said all this I would give it another try.

Honestly this was the best bar in Nashville by far! We got to meet one of the artists playing named Noah Alan! An absolute legend in the making and he was cool enough to chill with us after too!! Solid food, expensive drinks. Music was enjoyable. Don't expect a ton of service. Edit: to the person who responded - it was a Monday evening, around 7pm. There were maybe 2 people working the bar, and one person waiting all of the tables. We walked in and there was no guidance on where to go. No signs saying "please wait here" or " seat yourself" and the person working the bar wasn't helpful whatsoever. So we just stood there for a minute with music blasting us in the face (the stage is next to the front door) until we went to sit down ourselves.

I got the California burrito, it wasn't that good. My wife got the burger it was way better. After you pay for your food, they make you tip in front of them on the machine they run your card with, not a big deal unless you get bad service. Not a have to visit for me.

Stopped in for a quick bite to share. Had the nachos with beef and it was very tasty. They marinate the jalapenos in sugar and there chips seem to be home made. Great experience. They always seem to have live one man bands. There is always activity in there but at the same time not over crowded.

Best nachos I've ever had! Perfectly layered and delicious. With our group we tried all types and I highly recommend the beef ones. Drinks were excellent as well. Bartender was very nice and helpful despite it being a Saturday night and busy, he answered our questions and such while still being super friendly.

We only stopped in for drinks so no review of food. They only had beer in cans, so that was kind of disappointing. The goal that was singing was talented but wanted to talk more than she sang. Cool place but others along the strip are better.

Pretty decent tacos. Highly recommend the shrimp & bacon and hot chicken tacos. Filling of tacos was heavy so don't over-order. Ground beef taco is not really special. Bar tender was very friendly.

I wasn't unhappy. Just generally unimpressed. Nothing really stood out to me. My friend's Orange Crush cocktail tasted like watered down diet Sunkist at best. The live music was not great definitely sounded unoriginal. It felt more like a restaurant than a bar. The service was prompt and cold. Not bad but our server didn't have much personality. The place was clean. I may give it another chance; everybody has an off night now and again.

Stopped in while in town for a work trip to grab a quick bite to eat and ended up staying a couple of hours! You won’t regret getting the hot chicken + shrimp and bacon tacos, the coconut margarita(!), and sitting back and relaxing with the great live music talent. Special thanks to James behind the bar for making some mean coconut margs, his kindness and attentiveness! Made it fun to hang for a while. Definitely my new favorite spot in Nashville (not too crazy like the bars right on Broadway and no line). I’ll be back!

My brother recommended this place to me for the food and live music. We went on a Saturday night after a football game and found a table relatively quickly. We ordered chips and salsa, quesadillas, and burritos. The food had generous portions and tasted delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. We also offered mixed drinks and they were made well. The live music was interesting and just the right volume. The televisions were also easy to see so we were able to watch some games while we ate. I would definitely try this place if you are in Nashville.

Awesome spot! Skip benchmark and go here. Open bar atmosphere with good lighting, staff that care, killer tacos, GOOD live music, tvs with every game on Sunday. Lots of booth seating around the bar. Bar staff gets kudos here for attentiveness and friendliness. Best I've had in town.

Was in town for a trip; picked this pub out of many for a drink and dine. Compared to some others, the crowd here is decent, but fun. Obviously live music by good bands. Get the 'machetes' in food - they are great ! Plus wide selection of drinks. The waitresses were very helpful and accommodating for our large group.

We were drawn in by live music we could hear outside. It was a lovely three person group. They played many songs that we know and love as well as an original. I had a super tasty yet extremely hot cocktail that features Serrano peppers. The atmosphere was a nice change from a few streets over. We also had jalapeño poppers. My spicy cocktail certainly didn't cool down my palate. All in all a good experience. Would have given 5 stars but the waitress wasn't very attentive and they were not overly busy.

Literally the best burger I've ever had was CJ's burger at Cerveza Jack's. We luckily stumbled onto this place since we weren't looking for anything crazy wild on Broadway street for dinner. We saw two acoustic guitar players singing, loved the music, and walked in. Thank god we did. The chicken salad and burger was amazing. We were on a 3 day trip to Nashville and went here twice! The staff are so so friendly, the music is great, and the food is awesome. Special shoutout to the most friendliest bouncer on the planet who works there. He was constantly greeting people, making sure people are having a good time, with a smile on his face. Give that man a raise. 5 stars!!

Went here the last night night we were in Nashville and I wish I had known about this place sooner, because this place was my favorite! The atmosphere was perfect. Not obnoxiously loud, spacious seating between booths, the solo musicians that played were all fantastic. And those tacos!!! Hi highly recommend the ceaser taco and the pork belly. Oh that pork belly...all time best taco.

This was our first stop of the night out. We had a few minutes to kill after checking out fort nashborough and this place was walkable. They have a good craft beer selection and they're not on Broadway so it's nowhere near as crowded as the main strip bars are. Good local place to check off the list as visited

Celebrating our wedding anniversary this weekend and came to this gem for lunch! Had the pleasure of listening to a fantastic artist, Jade Million - what a beautiful voice! Awesome chips, salsa and guacamole, then brisket tacos, omg, so delish! Churros for dessert 👍 Great, strong drinks also! Service was fantastic! All around 10/10 experience!!

The menu offered much to choose from including your choice of tacos (fish, cauliflower and spicy chicken) and large quesadillas. To top it off, a solo guitarist was performing. He definitely was one of the better performers we saw during our trip to Nashville. Would definitely recommend this restaurant particularly since it is just off of Broadway and had plenty of seating!

Short walk of the main drag. Food is amazing. If you ever get a chance to go here make sure you order a salty dog, we had ours with no salt but it is a freshly squeezed grapefruit drink and it was amazing!

It can get a little crowded but this is a nice place to grab a quick bite if you can find a table I recommend the nachos they are not your typical nachos they are definitely elevated with pickled onions and candy jalapenos!
