Nice place for vegan desserts. Staff were so friendly and nice. A quaint little place for when you have a craving for sweets. The burger could use some veggies to complement the mock meat's texture.

Decided to check this place out for lunch today because it is 100% plant-based from the sandwiches 🥪 to the pastries 🥮. Was super excited to try their dessert as it hard to find restaurants that serve various dessert that are plant-based 🌱. When I first pulled up, I was instantly attracted to it & noticed that it looked more residential than commercial. The cashier was super helpful with providing suggestions on what I should try for lunch. I was still overwhelmed by their selection of desserts, I was ready to skip the main part of the meal. I first sampled their lemon 🍋 loaf 🍞 cake. AMAZING! It was surprisingly moist. 😋 For my main meal, I settled on the “Tur’ky” Pesto panini. It wasn’t bad. I would’ve preferred it without the tomato. But, the bread was perfectly toasted & the “cheese” was melted how I like it. Next time I’d like to try the grilled cheese. The dessert I chose was carrot 🥕 cake 🍰. That was my favorite part. Was still moist after being refrigerated. 7/10.

AMAZING! We got all of our cupcakes & cake for our wedding here and they were great to work with! Being vegan for years it was important to me that all my guests tried something vegan and they were a hit! I also get my occasional treat from here to and it never disappoints. Such a cute space and the staff is always so friendly. HIGHLY recommend.

Great food, and service. Stopped in today and had the turkey pesto sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup and both were delicious. Also grabbed a piece of carrot cake to go, can't wait to dig into that..

I love this spot. The pesto sandwich is one of my favorite lunch items. It is so tasty and really hits the spot. The space is warm and inviting, and the staff are friendly. And of course the desserts are bomb. They're not too sweet. My favorites are chocolate peanut butter cakes/cupcakes and any cheesecakes when available.

I found Vegan East looking for a vegan cake for my daughters 16th birthday. This place had so many beautiful cakes and pastries, it was hard to pick! I ended up getting several things and my daughter loved all of them.

Such a treat! Tried Vegan East for the first time this evening, and it did not disappoint. I adore cake and usually consume non-vegan cake, and this cake blew most other cake out of the water - fluffy, creamy icing paired with moist, rich cake. My vegan bestie ordered two types for us to try- the chocolate peanut butter and the carrot. The carrot cake was the group favorite. The cream cheese frosting was spot on, and I loved the spice blend and shredded carrot. Will be back again for sure!

I was delightfully surprised with my turkey pesto sandwich. The deli "meat" is actually from The Herbivorous Butcher (if you haven't been there, definitely check it out), and when my sandwich was ready, I was delightfully surprised to see a perfectly crisp and warm panini in front of me. It was delicious and filling, and as an added bonus, the staff were incredibly friendly. I was too full to add on anything else to my order, but they had a really nice selection of vegan cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and even PopTart-style pastries that looked amazing. It *was* a little spendy, but frankly everything is spendy these days.

Vegan East always kills it. Each year I order my kid a cake for his birthday and again this year was great. Order ahead was easy, and we love having such a great vegan option around Minneapolis!
