We had our rehearsal dinner at the Urban Eatery. It was absolutely the best experience ever! The staff was amazing! The food was spectacular! The service was excellent. The food all came out at the same time, and it was hot and delicious. They know how to make every person in that room feel warm and welcome. I had a budget and they kept me on budget. Shayna is a delight to work with and is a master communicator. They are incredibly accommodating and help you put on the best event ever! Whatever your event, you must book with Urban Eatery. They exceeded our expectations and I was so proud of every detail of our rehearsal dinner.

Been wanting to go here a long time. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. The house potatoes you get with the burgers are unbelievable. Even the valet guys were raving about them. Went for dinner but the server suggested we try the brunch and we'll probably do that. Great place! Picture is the strawberry rhubarb crumble.

We live around the corner, so we thought wed give it try. First visit was brunch 5/5. Second visit was dinner with coworkers 5/5. I wanted to post a review then, but divoured the food before could take pics. Anyway, back to bunch (highly recomended) Mexican skillet, underneath the eggs is a perfectly seasoned hash. The nachos are served with smoked chicken and white cheese sauce. The French toast - Im mean the picture says it all. Best Ive ever had. This place is a gem.

Great brunch- easy to get a table, sports on screens (if you're into that) but also definitely not a sports bar. The special touches (like the creme fraiche!) raise the bar. Compliments to the chef!

Hosted a bridal shower brunch here and they did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the service was even better. I appreciated that they gave us the space and didn’t even charge extra. We really appreciated it. Highly recommended!

I loved the Christmas decor and view of the lake! The service here is wonderful! I got the Peaches & Cream French toast which was perfectly sweet, soft on the inside, and crispy on the inside.

Met friends for lunch after a walk around the lake. Too much excitement as a woman’s purse was stolen off the chair next to her from someone on the sidewalk. Chase ensued, police arrived, etc. The food was pretty good and somewhat healthy.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner here for 34 guests. The experience was first-class from beginning to end, starting with the planning phase. Shayna, the event coordinator, provided detailed yet concise instructions at every stage of the process. The wait staff at the event, Jay & Lindsay, were very attentive and took very good care of our guests. Finally, the kitchen and bar staff served excellent food and beverages that delighted the entire party. To top it all off, the event space was comfortable for our party, giving us adequate privacy without being confining. We highly recommend Urban Eatery for a hosted event.

We hosted our groom's dinner/lunch here and the staff was excellent to work with especially the general manager/events coordinator who was fantastic! She worked with us through all of the planning, was incredibly detail oriented, organized and responsive. Always one step ahead of us! It was a delight having so much confidence that this event was in good hands. The space was lovely, the food was great and in my opinion an overall good value. We were very pleased we chose Urban Eatery!

Thai wraps were perfect for 1 person 😍 These portions are big. And delish! The ribs were a little on the fatty side but cooked perfect & the house sauce is so goooooood. I loved sitting outside across from Bde Maka Ska, enjoying the fall weather & atmosphere here. The playlist was straight from my library so I was jammin. Our server Paige was really sweet, patient & gave her input on her favs since it was our first time here :) There was another woman that stayed to help out our server since it was kind busy, she was awesome & chatted us up for a hot min. I wish I could remember her name but she was tall & had dark hair so, shout our to you girl! ❤️ Loved it here, will def be back :)

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Urban Eatery this past weekend and had the best time! The events manager made booking our event seamless and they were able to execute flawlessly. The on-site staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome. The food was so good and fresh, featuring seasonal menu items. We are still getting compliments on the brussel sprouts! If you're looking for a good seasonal dinner out or looking to host an event I'd highly recommend you consider Urban Eatery!

Food was fantastic! The guac is always a favorite and this time I had the proper burger with the aioli and hand cut potatoes. Yum! Finished with the apple crisp. Miranda was one of the best servers I have had in a long time. Ask for her. The owner has done a great job retaining staff during challenging times -signs of great management! Recommend!

UE did an amazing job on our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. Shayna and her staff helped with the detailed planning, execution, and seamless flow of the evening so that we didn't have to worry about anything. The buffet and service was amazing. Great atmosphere. The griddled Marsala onions on the Proper burger were a treat to the taste buds. Our server, Miranda, was attentive and gave great advice on menu selections. I’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, amazing service, delicious food. The menu is painfully outdated though. Its like stepping back into 2010. Its all really good, but if people want Pho they go to a Pho spot. Nothing on the menu was fun or surprising. But that isnt so bad when the ribs are fall off the bone delicious. I hope the chef updates the menu becuase the food was 10/10.

Update: Incredible service and would keep coming back for the service alone! Atmosphere is warm and inviting. Food is really good as well. My son LOVES the ribs here and requested them specifically from Urban Eatery for his birthday, but we were not able to come for dinner. Urban Eatery saw our special request in a reservation and worked it out to get him his birthday ribs during the brunch menu and he could not have been happier! We are disappointed in the updated/different fries, but that's such a small thing and would not prevent us from returning. Pre-covid review: Great breakfast food and the location is wonderful! There is a body mary bar on weekend mornings.

Almost but not quite a five-star experience. The shrimp tacos were good but you couldn't get jalapenos without onions so I didn't get the spice I was looking for. The staff was wonderful to my friend for her birthday. Hummus appetizer was just okay but the nachos were pretty good... my glass of red wine was certainly acceptable but nothing special.

This past weekend my 85-years-young parents tried Urban Eatery for the first time. They commented the food was delicious (five stars), but that's not why I'm writing this. This about the outstanding customer service they received! Mom just spent the past two months in and out of the hospital and a TCU. This was one of their first evenings out since her recovery. The owner of the restaurant, Farzad, and their servers made sure they were well taken care of during the meal but also after. Farzad escorted Dad back to the parking lot area AND made sure Mom was safe in waiting for Dad to pick her up. Farzad walked her out to the waiting car and helped with her take-home box. He was polite, caring, joyful and genuinely took interest in their evening's experience. Some may think this is not a big deal, but to my parents it was...it lessened their anxiety and made the night out a wonderful, memorable experience. They said they would return and my family will try Urban Eatery as well! Thank you, Farzad, and to the management and servers...five stars for your delicious food, your stellar customer service and for being GOOD people.

I have eaten here three nights this week and had three different entrees. Each meal was one of the best of its kind ever. Plus the servers and managment go out of their way to make sure you have a good experience. It’s also one of the best settings in Minnesota. Where else could you get something this good and look at the lake right in town. From now on I’m a regular.

The food here is fantastic. I didn't know what I wanted to drink, but I knew i wanted coffee, and they whipped me up a warm coffee cocktail that was perfect. They have a lovely outdoor patio with views of Lake Calhoun. Inside the restaurant, there is a warm atmosphere, perfect for date night or other social gathering.

I went for restaurant week and started with their crispy brussel sprouts. These were good with a balsamic glaze and had the perfect amount of crunch. For my entree I had the bed kebobs and wow were these good! The meat and veggies were perfectly cooked and the slaw they sat on was delicious. For dessert I had the Apple crisp, which was good but not as memorable as the entree. Expired to go again for the full menu!

Great food, cool vibe, nice view of Bde Maka Ska. The owner is always present, hands-on and welcoming. Our server was awesome. My husband had the ribs and I had the turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Both came fresh, hot and delicious. For dessert we split a tiramisu and I had an espresso martini, which was AMAZING! You won't be disappointed.

My friend and I come here often. The food has always been very good, but in the last few months there have been exquisite additions—the beef and shrimp pho, the herb and mushroom flatbread, the chicken chili, and more. Add that to the beautiful view, great service, smart Covid precautions, creative cocktails, nice atmosphere—what is there not to like?

It’s a blessing to have this great neighborhood restaurant nearby! We have been regulars for a few years and love the great food and warm, inviting atmosphere. Chuck and Jay as well as the rest of the staff are always pleasant and attentive. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared. My go-to is the salmon with local greens. Their guacamole is the best! For dessert, the warm apple crisp with Sebastian Joe’s Ice Cream is phenomenal.

Went here for a work brunch and had such a great time! Food was delicious (standouts were the shakshuka, turkey burger, and bloody marys) and the whole wait staff was so nice and welcoming! Will definitely be back in the spring when we can sit and eat outside. Pro tip there's really easy parking on the ramp nearby and they discount it!

Awesome space, the restaurant looks super cool! The fries here are absolutely delicious and unique (they look like chips but are soft like fries) I just got a regular burger while I was here and was not disappointed! Would recommend, do make reservations though as it is a long wait time otherwise.

Great outdoor patio. Not the best menu for allergies but they were very accommodating and we made it work. The minion approved! The indoor seating didn't seem quite as nice, but sitting outside on a mild Sunday evening and enjoying some relaxing family time was pretty great. They had a good wine selection as well.

Went for restaurant week and had a great time! There were good vegetarian friendly options too. My friend and I shared our starters, the guacamole and the hummus. Both were plated beautifully and super tasty. For entrees I had the vegetarian version of the curry, which was delicious, and my friend had a pork chop that she really, really enjoyed. We both had leftovers to take home too. Dessert was too good to share so all I can say is the apple crisp was very tasty. Our server was attentive, professional, and fun. This was my first time at Urban Eatery and based on this experience I would definitely go back! Really great job to all the staff!

It had been a few years pre-Pandemic since we last visited Urban Eatry. Easy to make reservations online. Hostess greeted us with aplomb and courtesy. No hesitation sensed as to our toddler. And instead of a high chair, she suggested a big booth in the corner on a booster chair. Perfect. Our server was a gem with honest feedback on appetizers and entrees. Highly recommend the spicy lamb sausage, hummus and guacamole for appetizers. So good, plenty for all, plus a picky toddler. Then the mushroom Flatbread was perfectly truffle-y and cheesy. The turkey burger was a knockout for taste, size and preparation. And the fish entree looked plentiful and presented well. Cocktails, from a smoky mojito to a glass of Prosecco was yummy. Staff couldn't have been nicer and fun. Go if you haven't and give it a whirl. We sat inside, but outside patio view of Lake Calhoun is wonderful.

Urban Eatery is the best place is South Minneapolis. There is not a bad option on the menu. A few I would recommend include: Guacamole + chips, Smoked Chicken Nachos,Thai Steak Salad and the amazing Lamb Burger. Also give weekend brunch a go... I like the healthy Protein Bowl or Mexican Hash to splurge. It's an easy choice. The back room is great for groups/events. Outdoor seating when it's warm. Just go!

I’ve been to this establishment many times now and it keeps getting better. Paige was my server on my last visit and she was so helpful and kind. I was seated near the bar and undecided on what I should have for dinner when the lovey bartender Jay came over and suggested the LAMB BURGER. It was amazing! 10/10 to service and food. Pulled up for the free valet parking, easy & courteous. Walked around the outdoor seating to the main entrance to the far left. Ample seating and bar area. Very friendly staff. Drinks from the bar were delicious and our water was kept full all evening. Serving sizes were generous. Our party had: Pho, ribs, shrimp tacos and the special of that night Salmon. All very good, came out of the kitchen quickly. Highly recommend the ribs! Desserts were good, we tried the sundae, Napoleon, and apple crisp. Casual place, not too loud, excellent service.

I love the eatery. From the two years I have lived there to the past 4 that I haven't, it's a place I always revisit. The staff feels like home, in particular Ali. Always a pleasant face and a great manager. The food and drinks are always on point. I was there this past weekend for a luncheon event. Loved the food. My favorites have always been the edamame and the salads with chicken added. The wine list is pretty good as well. I can always find a tasty red for my meals. Great place for a catch up with old friends. Belly up to the bar for a Cheers feel. They do end up making you feel like home.

The Urban Eatery was a fun experience. The service (though a little slow) was friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is very accommodating for fun and relaxation. We sat outside on the patio with a nice view of Bde maka ska. The food is ok. About a 4 hor how its priced. Needs a little spice I think. So overall experience gets a solid 4.

Urban Eatery was so good to us tonight 4 of us were gluten free and 4 not. Food Was fabulous. They also were so accommodating to my parents. My legally blind dad they turn up lights and placed table under the brightest light in room after explaining how hard it is for him to read a menu and see if his food . I’ve never had a restaurant treat us so good thanks! Great birthday and anniversary diner for are family.

The best borscht in town!! The beautiful patio setting overlooking the lake is such a great place to enjoy Uptown and the energy around the lakes. The sweet potato fries are delicious as is the hummus platter and cocktails! Dog friendly on the patio; they even brought out fresh water. Highly recommend. Cheers.

Awesome service, awesome food and great atmosphere. We were very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff were in answering questions we had about the menu before ordering our food. The food was excellent! The salmon was the best I've ever had and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. Looking forward to going back again. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a definite "go to place". Great atmosphere, fantastic drinks, and great food. I have honestly never been disappointed here. It's a great date spot and also equally as good for a break from walking around the lakes. For appetizers, the hummus is the best that I've had. Smoked chicken nachos are equally good!

We had a great meal here from the smoked chicken nachos the whole way to the apple crisp dessert. The roasted beet salad was also great! Our entrees (ribs and pepper steak) were delicious and exactly as described. To top off our great food, our waiter, Jay made the dining experience even better with his great attitude and helpful food suggestions! Lastly, the valet parking is free after 530! We will absolutely be returning!!

My date and I had the Ratatouille, the chicken pate, and the beef kabobs. The tastes were okay. But my overwhelming impression was that the portions were quite small for the price. It's a great location the interior looks fine it's very comfortable the wait staff was good but I'm giving this three stars based on the value proposition.

Have you been to a national corporate chain restaurant? Then you have been here. The ingredients are better than a national chain, and it tastes as though the kitchen actually cooks the food rather than re-heating, but the menus are basically the same. Having said that, the broccolini with romenesco sauce was amazing. So if you enjoy your TGI Friday's but wish they had better tomatoes, head here.

This review will have little impact because of the excellent reviews the establishment gets. However; I ordered chicken wings and what I received for $12.50 was a paltry serving of little tiny dry chicken wings. It was so cheap for a place like this! Come on, serve chicken wings that are of a decent size befitting of the Urban Eatery. It wouldn’t hurt to be more generous as well. Don’t be cheap, cause your not cheap with your pricing. Purchase a bag of Tyson frozen chicken wings at Costco and observe what a decent chicken wing looks like. Cook them so that they aren’t completely dried out. I know your menu items are just fine, but for heaven sake, get the basics down. I was totally put off! When the runner put my plate down, I said “You can’t be serious, are these your chicken wings?” There was no comment as she quickly sped away. Update: the chicken wings are just fine now. Since my original review, I’ve moved to Calhoun Beach Club and visited the Urban Eatery many more times. I’m very happy with the menu items and the excellent service. I asked them why the wings were so small. They told me they were trying a new supplier that had smaller wings but we’re supposed to be a higher quality. Whatever, the wing they have now are very good.

Urban Eatery was where we held our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. My guests RAVED about the food. I'm still thinking about the pork I had that night. Shayna was amazing and so responsive to everything we needed. We had to get everyone's orders beforehand, but it helped make the entire meal go so smoothly. My family loved having the section all to ourselves. We had 32 people and there was plenty of room for more. Amazing service, fantastic food, wonderful setting.

This place was amazing, where do I start! I had the pomegranate mojito and was pleasantly surprised at how fresh it tasted! I also had the full rack of ribs and the meat just fell off of the bone, it actually wasn't that messy to eat! Both of these were recommended to me by the FABULOUS server, Jay Nelson- he was a hoot! Overall it was just a great experience and I highly recommend you check the place out! Great atmosphere!

Not super impressed. Chose to come here for my birthday brunch. Our server was super nice and the Bloody Mary bar was good. But the food was not something I’d come back for. I had to send mine back to get warmed up and I never send anything back. They also dont offer anything for birthdays (like free dessert). There’s so many other places to go in the cities that have great food and fun perks for special occasions I’d consider first.

This review is specific to private events. We have had 2 major private parties here in the last 10 years. My 40th birthday 8 years ago and just last weekend, our 25th wedding anninversary. Urban Eatery CANNOT be beat for their private party service. Both events were stellar and I am so happy we returned here for our latest celebration. The size is perfect for anything between 75 and 200 guests. Shayna, the event planner, is accessible and easy to work with. The chef is creative and knowledgable. The serving staff is flexible, friendly and competent. Their pricing plans are easy to work with and overall, they were always willing to work within our needs and budget. Our guests were raving about the food and the presentation was appealing. The weather did not cooperate so we did not get to take advantage of patio seating but that was perfectly okay because the atmosphere inside was perfect. We were able to have our slide show of pictures and videos playing the whole time. The back half of the restaurant was cleared and there was plenty of space for a 10 piece band with lots of room to dance. I simply cannot recommend them enough for your next event...nothing about this party was stressful partially due to the competence of this entire team. You can be confident in your choice to book here. We are very pleased.

Used to be a lot better, switched chefs a few years ago and cheaped down the menu. Gave up on smoked duck nachos and replaced them with smoked chicken, not as good. Similar for other parts of the menu. Change was pretty obvious at the time. Food is still decent for the most part, good atmosphere, great staff.

Food was fantastic! This is one of my favorite stops for food. It's great year round but especially in the summer when you can sit outside on the patio and look out at the lake. I always order the Lamb Burger let's just say I've found heaven on Earth! I normally hate lamb but the chef always leaves me wanting more! The staff is also incredibly friendly and promt. Had some drinks at the bar and shared a few food items. The bartender, Jay, was very helpful in picking out menu items and knowledgeable on the ingredients and suggested a few great substitutions to suit our likes and dietary needs. We waddled home after ordering a special utterly scrumptious five course celebratory meal, expecting to take some home, but realizing at the end that somehow we had inhaled it all. The food was as good as the best restaurants we've visited anywhere, perfectly cooked, artistically arranged, and served with warmth and flair. We ordered the delicious chicken wrap appetizer, and an artfully arranged and delicious beet salad. I ordered the pepper steak entree which I'd heard was fantastic, and somehow I ate the whole delicious steak, accompanied by superb potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and onions. My wife loved her salmon. We've lived in the neighborhood for over 30 years, and seen previous incarnations of the restaurant. The restaurant has never looked better, with warm, cozy booths, a beautiful bar, attentive staff, and a great vibe and view overlooking Lake Bde Maka Ska. We loved our server, Jay, who exuded warmth, humor, and attention to every detail, and made us feel special.

Really great place to take a date or just hang out with a group of friends. The service here is exceptional - our server was very personable and joined in our conversations when we invited her but was never intrusive. The food was excellent although perhaps a bit over priced. They have a nice patio area with a great view of Lake Bde Maka Ska over Hwy 7 traffic. The free valet parking is a nice touch, but seemed a bit silly since my vehicle was parked literally feet away. It all adds to the ambiance and allure which Urban Eatery has in spades.

Great location, convenient parking cheap and plentiful in attached garage. Menu is interesting enough not to be boring without being silly, and includes all the classics with unique finishes. My boyfriend and I took both our mothers here for mother's day and it did not disappoint. His mother and I had the half rack of ribs, my mother had the beef cabobs and the boy had salmon and perogies. I tasted a bit of everything and it was all good. We got the guacamole and chips appetizer and that was even good (I dont usually like guac.) Their blood orange margarita is not only tasty, but pretty as well and valet is free after 5:30 PM which we took advantage of, but I'm mostly writing this review for our waiter, Jay. He was funny, attentive and friendly and my mom promised to "google" him later, so I'm doing this on her behalf. I honestly don't have a bad thing to say.

My wife and I scheduled the Groom's dinner for our wedding at the Urban Eatery. I worked directly with Shayna (the events coordinator) over the course of several months to get everything set up exactly the way I wanted. She was extremely thorough, responsive and professional! They have a well established system and menu for hosting events, but were able to be flexible and accommodating for any changes I wanted to make that were "off menu". Shayna and the cook were even able to get the shrimp tacos (that are my favorite) added to the events menu! During the event, our servers did an awesome job, brought food out at the time I had specified, and kept the night moving accordingly. We had a great experience and I would definitely recommend Urban Eatery for anyone who is hosting an event in the future! Thank you!

I just love this place. It's a great setting across from lake Calhoun and the restaurant and bar all done in a dark walnut including the floors. Because it has one whole floor to ceiling window wall looking towards the lake the bar is always lot while the back part remains cozy. I think they have the best Parmesan Risotto in town and ita served with a smoked pork chop and reduced balsamic that just screams flavor in your mouth. My friends can attest to the salmon dishes and I can also tell you their burgers are great! French fries are small and skinny like Mickey D. If you sit at the bar ask for the Chuck and Michelle Burger (not officially on the menu but it's how the bartender Chuck and I order it) cheese bacon BBQ sauce....Mmm Mmm Good!

Visited this place on a weekend night and the place is in a great location but parking is really a pain around there. Heads up, you will have to pay for parking! The restaurant itself was very nicely decorated, it really does have that Urban feel. Unfortunately, the food is not good. Very few choices and slightly overpriced for basic food. We came about an hour and a half before closing and you could tell that the employees just wanted to get out of there. It was an ok experience.

Wonderful dinner last night, highlighted by friendly and accommodating service by Alexis. Enjoyed a shared app of delicious guac with warm (house-made) tortilla chips. A very tasty Caesar salad followed and then entrees of Grilled Chipotle Chicken (spouse) and Pepper Steak (me). Both entrees were prepared perfectly as ordered, and were bursting with flavor. Topped dinner off with an excellent piece of Napoleon for dessert.

I was out with friends on a bike ride and stopped in for a snack slash social break to have a pint and a conversation. Food and service was good. We were not well dressed as we were in cycling kits (bike shorts and jerseys). We were greeted and treated as if we were not, like they get your enjoying the day. Tried this place during Restaurant Week, so we obviously ordered off the Restaurant Week menu: $30 for a choice of appetizer, Caesar salad, choice of entree, and choice of dessert. We went with a few friends, and among us we tried all the appetizers, three of the four entrees, and both desserts. I'd say the best things we had were the appetizers, and that the low point of the meal was the Caesar salad. Parking is convenient. You can either do the free valet (but remember to tip!) or you can pay $2 in the restaurant for a parking voucher which will let you out of the Beach Club structure. I was a little disappointed by the entrees, and Mike and I both agreed that we probably wouldn't come back given the number of restaurants in the area that we haven't tried yet.

The first thing I noticed about the Urban Eatery is how empty it was when we got there around 9 PM. There were a few people at the bar, but that's about it. When I walked in, there was an employee sitting at a table, talking to a couple of people. Meanwhile, I stood there, waiting for someone to seat me. I thought this was extremely rude and reflected bad upon the restaurant, but it turned out the person was the bartender (who still should have been at the bar). Instead of telling us someone would be right with us, the bartender just kept talking to the people. She finally said something like, "Oh, they will come help you, they're much better at it than I am." The person she motioned at while saying that, who DID come over to help me, seemed irritated. This also reflected poorly on the restaurant. In the back of my mind, I was like, "I hope the service isn't all this poor." Fortunately, our waiter made up for this. We had a Groupon for a whole meal that consisted of a starter, a side, 2 side salads, 2 entrees, and dessert. I ordered the cheese curds, sweet potato fries, beet salad, chicken caprese, and the warm apple crisp. My boyfriend ordered the microgreen salad and the steak dinner. The cheese curds were AMAZING. The dipping sauce was out of this world, also. The same goes for the sweet potato fries. The saffron mayonnaise that came with them was to die for. My beet salad was pretty good, but not out-of-this-world. I thought the microgreen salad of my boyfriend's was decent. He loved it. I was NOT impressed with either of our entrees. The chicken caprese was on the tough side. The steak entree were two small steak medallions on top of a huge pile of hashbrown-like potatoes. It had almost no flavor. But the apple crisp made up for it. They make it fresh, and it was delightful. The Sebastian Joe's ice cream was delicious on top. A great cap to a very good meal overall. Pros of this particular restaurant: Free valet after 5 PM. Outdoor seating. Right next to Lake Calhoun. Local, fresh food. Nice waiter. Delicious sides and dessert. Cons: Rude bartender. Probably very busy in the evening and during the spring/summer/fall. Entrees not very flavorful or fulfilling. Expensive. All in all, I would definitely go back just for the cheese curds, sweet potato fries, and apple crisp. We plan on it the next time we are in the neighborhood. It will be nice to have a nice snack after walking around Lake Calhoun.

There is a trend in restaurants in naming every item on the menu after the small family-owned organic co-op voluntourist-harvested farm where the turkey destined to be your burger once walked proud and free, the equal of any man. It boosts sales. You, the diner, are curiously more likely buy the burger if you see the source-farm, which is good. Because that free-range bird is expensive. I got the Kadegan Farms Turkey Burger because I like source-farm name dropping as much as the next aspiring urban farmer. It was ok--I'm not sure if the turkey was special, because it was under an onslaught of guac, pepperjack, and sriracha. Those are flavors I'd pick if I was trying to hide a turkey burger, not showcase it. The Bolognese was fine (though without knowing which farm hand-raised the beef, it didn't taste quite as good), and everyone likes pecorino. Except my date for the evening, so I scraped it to the side and ate it piece by piece. Talk about a deal breaker. The place gets three stars (out of 5), and I'm sure someone is going to argue with me, but three stars is average. The middle of the road, and the urban eatery is exactly that. Are you looking for post-modern American fusion cuisine? Are you looking for some chef with the raw cajones to mix whiskey and soy!? Do you crave upscaled gastro-pub chow, like a pot pie with a mélange of *wild mushrooms*? Yawn. This is the place to get all of the above, in a perfectly average way. The very heart and soul of three stars. P.S. On the side of the menu is a list of their local food partners, like the afore mentioned Kadejan Farms. On the list is the United Noodle, which is a grocery store. It's an Asian grocery store, true, but it's an Asian grocery store food *importer*. Don't think I'm knocking it; it's great, I love it completely, I'd marry it if MN allowed one woman/one building marriages, but it's about as far from locavore as you can get. China far.

Great experience, eclectic menu, and good service. I have been here twice, both to meet a group of family or friends, and we have had nothing but great experiences. Parking is a bit confusing .... if there is no street parking available (very limited) there is an underground garage available, but it's not obvious if you don't find the right road.
