Reviews of Union Hmong Kitchen
Uzma Ali
The food and vibe of this place is great. I got the grilled chicken with the tiger sauce and husband got the skirt steak also with the tiger sauce. We also got the lemongrass sauce on the side. Everything was great. I just thought the skirt steak was a bit tough and I had a hard time chewing but the flavor was on point.
The union Hmong kitchen is located *inside* graze with a few other eateries sharing a dining space with open seating. They also have a bar and you can reserve some spaces for special events. Overall it was a good experience.

Heard about this place through Iron Chef and was very excited to check it out. We had the Hmong sausage and the flank steak and both were awesome. The flavor of the grill/char on both was extremely satisfying. We were not aware until arriving that the restaurant is in a food hall, and is not a standalone location. It looked extremely packed until we got closer and saw that most of the crowd was just there to drink at the indoor-outdoor bar 😄

Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
My husband and I ordered the zoo siab meal for the steak with a side of curried potatoes and chicken with side of khao sen noodles, marinated pork belly and skirt steak, and chicken sandwich. Presentation was mouth-watering. Both steaks and pork belly was marinated very well and tasted good even without pepper (and I love spicy foods). The sides we got were more on the light side which compliments the protein well. The grilled chicken and chicken sandwich was OK, the steak and pork belly was tastier in my opinion. I would definitely come again to try other items on the menu.

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Presentation was nice. Wasn't too busy. I ordered the Graze meal but was a bit disappointed they ran out of the fish. They substituted that for the steak and pork belly. They missed our steak but cooked it and brought it out to us. Staff was nice and gave us 2 free coconut lychee colada. Would come back again.

First of all, the location is a great place to eat. It’s a good court with tons of different restaurants. Ideal for people who can’t decide on one place to eat.
The plating is Instagramable. As for taste, the sticky rice is right on, the pepper has a herby taste that goes well with the skirt steak, and the veggies were tasty. I got the side of Brussels sprouts. Definitely a must try when in town.

I like the concept of this location but a little dissapointed in the execution. Tried to order the skirt steak "Happy" meal, they were out, then they were out of the BBQ pork, so onto choice three - the Hmong sausage. My favorite part was the charred asparagus and the couple of pickled vegetables that came with it. The sausage was fairly spicy and the sticky rice, once removed from it's sandwich baggy was extremely sticky and bland... Maybe just a miss for me but the seasoning seemed to be extreme or non existent. I'm also not a huge fan on the 18% surcharge for counter service, but appreciate they don't ask for a tip on top. It also took quite awhile to come up for what it was...

Not to be dramatic, but this is one of the best foods I’ve ever had in my entire life. I got the Zoo Siab meal with the BBQ pork and fried Brussels. The tiger bite hot sauce really pulled everything together but even each thing on its own was spectacular. Great flavor and spice. Awesome portion size too; I have some left over. Highly recommend. (In the photo, the dish on the left is from The Fabled Rooster, which he also REALLY enjoyed)

Delicious! After watching Iron Chef, our family traveled here to try Union Hmong Kitchen. We loved the flavor profiles. The sauce that came with the pork belly was so good, well balanced, addictive and the skirt steak was flavorful and tender.

I really wanted to love this restaurant because I always want to support Hmong people and their businesses. The food is decent but it is not representative of what Hmong food is. This is more like Asian fusion food? I ordered the grilled pork and chicken Happy Meal platters. The sticky rice was dry and the meats were under seasoned. Hmong food should be bright and full of flavors that stimulate your taste buds. Their pepper sauce was not even spicy. Listen if you’re new to southeast Asian food, then yes go eat here it’s safe enough to try. But if you’re expecting anything authentic or flavorful, then go to Hmong Village or Hmongtown and grab food from the food stalls there. I am a fan of Chef Yia and I’m excited that he’s putting Hmong cuisine in the national spotlight. I hope his new restaurant will showcase what Hmong food is or can be.

People in Chicago have been raving about this place so much that I decided to give it a try when I was in Minneapolis. I ordered the skirt steak and enjoyed every bit of it. The asparagus was so delicious and couldn't get enough of the coconut rice. I'm sure that I will be visiting this place everytime I'm in Minneapolis from now on.

Great Hmong Southeast Asian food at Graze! I’m so glad I tried this place. It mixes some familiar and some more unique flavors. I got the grilled tofu plate with kow soi noddles and sticky rice. Overall, super delicious and flavorful, and I love that it’s vegan! The veggies and herbs really made the dish fresh and tasty. I also got a strawberry guava juice, which was very good. I would definitely come back here. Lots of options including vegan and gluten free. Service was fast and very friendly.

Hmong food done right! This place highlights the complex flavors of Hmong cuisine while also demonstrating its versatility in form. The taro “nachos” are to die for, and the pork with the cold noodles are the perfect combination. Do not skip this place at the food hall!!!
NewbieBagel Face
I read a lot of people review about the Hmong union food, there were some pros and cons. So I thought why not try it out for myself. The best result out of me is pretty really good. With good right amount of flavor I definitely would come by to this place again! The price was worth the $22
Emily Lu
Love the unique food creations from chef Vang. Big fan of him from Iron Chef... "battle of chills". Going back for the second time trying out the skirt steak, pork belly and Hmong sausage platter with homemade strawberry guava juice, everything are just delicious!

We were so excited to go to the Graze to order at Union Hmong Kitchen. It did not disappoint! We got the Zoo Siab meals: Hilltribe Grilled chicken, Hmong sausage, and the Grilled skirt steak. The food is absolutely amazing from the main, purple sticky rice, sauce, pickled veggies, and sides. I wish I ordered more purple sticky rice. The food is that good. Going home, we were already thinking of what to order next time! By the way, this place has a cool vibe too.

After waiting almost 40 minutes in line for my food at the State Fair yesterday, I had high expectations for this meal. Before visiting this year’s state fair, I saw Union Hmong Kitchen listed on a number of “must try” write-ups on fair fare. Let me just say, it lived up to the hype! The tofu was perfectly seasoned and perfectly fried - crispy on the outside and soft and spongey on the inside. The purple sticky rice was pleasant and well-cooked. The pickled veggies complemented the tofu well and added a lovely tanginess to the meal. The coconut lychee colada was refreshing and not too sweet. I wolfed down my meal, and I felt better about consuming tons of fried food after starting with Union Hmong Kitchen! I can’t wait to visit their Minneapolis restaurant soon.
Marcus Do
The pork belly and sauce are fantastic… easy 5/5 for us. The purple sticky rice wasn’t as good as I had hoped, nor were the cold noodles, but the pork belly alone carries them to a 5/5 IMO. We’ll definitely be back to try the other offerings

I'm Hmong and I had lunch here. I recently watched the episode of Chef Yia Vang cooking on Iron Chef and was inspired to come try his food. I ordered the chicken quarter leg with noodles and the asparagus. The food came out fairly quick. The chicken was fully cooked and tasted delicious. I really enjoyed his take on my Hmong food. There were also three types of pepper I asked for. All three tasted great. I would highly recommend everyone to come eat here. I would also encourage my fellow Hmong people to open their mind and enjoy Chef Yia Vang's take on our food as he brings awareness of our people to the larger community. Keep up the good work Chef Yia. You're an inspiration to us and our kids. Thank you for raising the bar for our community.

The zoo siba meal with BBQ pork, fried Brussels sprouts, and purple sticky rice is incredible. It's unique and very flavorful. The tiger bite hot sauce has a lot of kick so be ready for that. They have a strawberry-guava drink that is homemade and really tasty. Food comes out quick here too and the vibe of Graze is fun. I can't recommend Graze and Union Hmong Kitchen highly enough.

Union Hmong Kitchen is my favorite place to eat at Graze in the North Loop. Graze is a modern, industrial-style food hall with a wide variety of food stands, a coffee shop, two outdoor patios and great spaces to hang out or work remotely. They also serve cocktails, wine & beer in the afternoon and evening. Despite all of the fantastic food choices, Union Hmong Kitchen is the standout for me. My go-to is the Zoo Siab meal, which includes one protein, one side side, purple sticky rice, pickled veggies, and lettuce wrappers.
Typically, I order the Hilltribe grilled chicken with lemongrass scallion dressing. I also opt for a side of the crunchy chili oil for a nice kick of spice (extra sauce costs $2). However, when my order arrived it was fried chicken. I glanced back at the menu…sure enough, it’s now described as “Hilltribe crispy chicken leg.” No matter, it was still delicious. Crispy, not at all greasy, but a bit dry on the inside. For the side dish portion of my meal, I chose the khao sen rice noodles, which are very refreshing. The meal is meant to be eaten like a lettuce wrap, I believe, with the chicken, pickled vegetables, sauces and spices all layered together. All together you get bites of crispy chicken, sweetness from the lemongrass scallion dressing, umami from the pickled vegetables, heat from the chili oil and refreshing crunch from the lettuce. It’s an explosion of flavor, which you can mix and layer to your liking.
I know some people find the purple rice to be bland…I wouldn’t say it’s bland, but it does have a very mild flavored compared to the rest of the meal. I love rice, and I’ll happily eat plain white rice, so it doesn’t bother me at all. I always have extra dressing and chili oil to spare, so I’ll sometimes add a bit to the purple rice.
I will say that I prefer the grilled chicken to the new fried chicken. The grilled chicken was similar to what they served at the MN State Fair, also shown in the photos for comparison. The grilled chicken was tender, nicely charred and boldly flavored from a tasty marinade. I hope they bring it back. But in the meantime, I’ll continue to explore the rest of the menu every time I’m able to visit Graze!

The steak was a great lunch and the rice was delicious. Pickled veggies on the side were a great acidic balance. The awesome salad, was not so awesome, but will look forward to trying another side next time.

Got the Graze. The menu says it feeds 2 people or 4 grazers. It was more than enough food to fully feed three adult women. We could have easily had a fourth person eating with us. We were very full afterwards with leftovers. The food was very good!
Annabel Allen
The breakfast Sando had a perfectly over easy egg, and flavors went together really nicely.
Also tried the zoo siab meal with chicken and fried Brussels sprouts - the Brussels sprouts were some of the best I’ve ever had!
Andrea Kiepe
Wow! I did not expect such a delicious steak and salad from what is essentially a fancy food court. Only suggestion: this food is way too saucy to be served on a piece of paper. I don’t want to have to pick wet paper shreds out of a salad. EXTREMELY CLOSE TO PERFECT
Haley Ratcliff
This meal slapped. We were so very pleased. We ordered the hangover noodles + bbq pork and asparagus. We also bought some chili oil to go. 100% recommend.
Emmet Mross
This location is currently take out only, so beware of that. Ordering is also a little confusing since they seemed more focused on large group orders. To order as an individual there was essentially only one option, which was the chicken sandwich. That's where my complaints end, however.
I had the chicken sandwich and some fried rice. Both items far exceeded my expectations. The fried rice stood out in particular as some of the best I'd ever had.
While the ordering experience is a little odd, the food is well worth it. Definitely give this place a shot!
Alicia Ji
Service was amazing, and we really enjoyed the unique flavors of the Hangover Noodles. We had never been to The Graze, so the environment was a pleasant surprise!
Aniella Fignon
My first time trying Hmong cuisine and I was delighted. Veg options are somewhat limited, but the menu is small so that makes sense - tofu is your best bet, they actually do a great job with it, and I can be picky about that. Coconut tapioca pudding was delicious!
Note that this kitchen is located in a super cool cafeteria style café/bar-like space and you have the option for everyone to order from different kitchens. Very chill.
Ashley Yang
I got the Zoo Siab meal that included fried pork belly, pickled greens, purple sticky rice, macaroni salad, and tiger bite pepper sauce. The pork belly was perfect and was the star of the meal! Everything else was also delicious! All the foods complimented each other well.
My only feedback would be to steam the sticky rice longer. I’ve had this occur a few times and was disappointed to have it sort of hard texture again.
I was very satisfied with my meal overall. It was well worth it for gourmet Hmong food! I spent almost $30 on just that meal alone and a drink and it’s more-so for one person. However, I’d dine/order again!
Hunter Ruth
Absolutely phenomenal food. Had the chance to chat with Iron Chef Challenger Yia Vang. He's such a down to earth guy and makes sure all credit goes to his team. Will definitely be bringing friends and family back.
Erin Naveen
WOW! Union Hmong Kitchen served THE BEST whole, fried fish I've had in years (meal for two, topped with tangy tamarind sauce & peanut)- and had such positive and engaging staff that genuinely enjoyed their craft. THANK YOU.
Fair warning: You might get lost when you arrive! It's in a food hall with signs for "Crave" and contains other vendors, but the seating options are impressive (inside, outside, rooftop patio, and fire pit).
Jade Cutie
Be warned that this is not authentic Hmong food... With "Hmong Kitchen" in the name, I'd assume that it would be Hmong food. However, upon further research on their website no where do they claim to be authentic Hmong Food. I appreciate what Chef Yia Vang is doing for our community; however, it would be great if the food was more authentic as the stories told revolve around our food. It's a little overpriced for what you get. We got two platters of "the Graze" which was filled with mostly a weird mixture of veggies. My best explanation would be a mixture of different types of salads. There was also a whole fish, 4 pieces of chicken (thigh and leg) and 1 sausage, 3 types of sauce and tapioca dessert...I would not return simply because the food and atmosphere were not my taste preference.
Thuy K.
Enjoyed my first Hmong food experience. The online ordering process was simple enough, though I wish there were more options to order either a la carte or for customization. Curbside pickup was a breeze via text or call upon arrival. Regarding other reviewers' concerns of small portion size, my partner and I found the dinner for 2 enough for 2 people who hadn't eaten all day. The fried chicken sandwich was a pretty big and satisfyingly crunchy. The chicken was a bit overcooked in some places and could've used a little more spice but it was enjoyable overall. The highlights of the meal were the sauces! Mama Vang's sauce and the fish sauce were the stars.

Had high hopes for this place but it was only subpar. Not authentic. The amazing salad was missing the amazing part. You could tell everything was just reheated although I will say the meat did stay moist. Workers could have been a little more helpful and enthusiastic. Very few people here but food took 25 minutes? I support Hmong and local businesses but no need to go back here anytime soon.
Bryce Butler
Had the Hmong Sausage meal with the amazing salad and it was very good! The chili crisp and the pickled vegetables went really well with the sausage and sticky rice. The strawberry guava drink was also tasty.
Nikki Schutte
Delicious. Enjoyed the whole fish, brussel sprouts, Hmong sausage, and coconut lychee coolada. Definitely get the tiger bite sauce. It had a kick that fades before the next bite.
Wendell Elvonski
Difficult to find the actual place. Food court / Bar scene - just a heads up if you're thinking about bringing your 4 year old there. And just because it's a food court, don't expect to get your entrees fast either. It's fusion, not traditional Hmong food. Cool to experience, glad he's out there doing his thing, not really for me though. Hmong Village any day over this in all aspects.
S L
Steak and brussel sprouts was really excellent. It's part of a food court that was lively and (very) loud when we ate at 8pm on a Friday, but I'm guessing at lunch it's a bit easier for conversation. And the younger people there for drinks were enjoying the atmosphere.
Jemma Sheree
Got to try this food at the MN State Fair yesterday and blown away with the flavors! I’ve never had Hmong food before, but thoroughly enjoyed the sausage and sauces (I think it was called Tiger Bite) Definitely my new state fair fav
Epsilon Peters
My favorite place for food at Graze.
Andrew Robillard
So tastey and the cooks were friendly and excited about what they were serving. The whole vibe of Graze and the food spots inside is worth the visit. Can't recommend enough.
Blair Graham
The food was so yummy and reasonable for the portion size. The skirt steak was perfectly seasoned, perfectly tender and came with a beautiful, garlicky sauce and sticky rice with an asparagus salad all for $18! The chicken sandwich was also delicious. I can't wait to go back!
Nina Xiong
Meat was overcooked and tough except for the chicken. They gave us very little chicken but more if you order the other meats. Not really any hmong flavor in the meat or salad. Some of the dips are not really hmong or of hmong influence. Food is okay but not something I would go back too.
Lois Lindell
Before and after shots of definitely the best meal I had this week! Thank you! I'll be back!
Stephanie Gillespie
I thoroughly enjoyed the food, all of the flavors were great. Unfortunately they were out of the pork when I visited so I didn't get to try it, but the sausage was amazing and it's a good-size portion of food for the $21 bill (after the 18% mandatory staff fee is added).
Joshua Draves-Kellerman
I would say that this was super delicious! I do have to say though, the only reason this review is not 5 stars is that the rice that came with the INCREDIBLE beef was just not good. I dont love saying this and perhaps it was just a bad batch. Will be back for sure!
Brian Sanders
Tofu and sticky rice are fantastic. This place makes amazing sauce- highly recommended buying their chili oil for your home.
Grace Alexander
Big love for this place, brussel sprouts are the BEST I've ever had... can't wait to see what else comes from the great place!
Anthony Levens
Tried this kitchen at Graze. I got the hmong sausage and the hangover bowl. The sausage was good. Smaller than the hmong sausage I’m used to getting, but that’s not really a problem when it’s a side order. The pepper it was served with wasn’t spicy at all; but I know they have to serve what customers want. The bowl was really good. I got the hot green sauce to pour over it; definitely recommend doing that. The prices were higher than I expected, but consistent with prices of the other kitchens in Graze.
I would like to try again and hopefully have a more star-deserving experience. If I do, I’ll update my review. I’m taking off a star for the non-spicy pepper and one other complaint. I was the only person who ordered while I was there. They asked for my phone number, clarified my phone number, but didn’t notify me when my food was ready. I watched it sit on the counter for 5 minutes. I figured it must have been someone else’s food or they would have notified me, or gotten my attention (I was sitting like ten feet away and there was almost nobody else at Graze)
Sarah Hearn
One of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time! So happy to have stumbled upon this gem of restaurant. I’m still dreaming about all the flavors in the Tiger sauce. Wish I could take a bottle of it home and put it on everything. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Jack Daley
The flavors here make me happy. I don’t want to eat or drink anything else so that these delicious flavors can last forever. The sticky rice was unrEasonably, terribly delicious(even better, Just found the recipe is online). I think the team behind this place are rock stars!
Jake S
Very confused about the bad reviews. The food here is legit some of the best in town for any restaurant. I’d be curious where they prefer to eat because personally I’m pretty underwhelmed with the local options, and thankful Union is close by.
High flavor, great sauces, etc. Great place if you prefer a meat / no card specific diet.
Ariane Laxo
Love the food here - delicious and most of the menu is safe for the gluten free diner. The meals come with many components so dining in works best, though take out is available.
Gie Lee
Good food, not great. Not traditional hmong food. More like hmong fusion food. Several people in our group ordered soup based dishes. There were no spoons given out with the soup dishes, only chopsticks. Need signs outside that show the restaurant is inside provision and libations building.
Zack Szyman
This has been one of our favorite restaurants in recent years. We’ve had almost everything on the menu and have always loved the food!
Shannon Quie
Hands down my favorite restaurant! I enjoyed the Union Kitchen pop up restaurants when I lived in the Twin Cities a few years ago and I finally was back to visit and got takeout and was not disappointed. I got the Hilltribe Chicken, taro chips, Thai basil eggplant and the purple sticky rice. Everything was incredible, perfectly spiced and interesting flavors. We got the dinner for two and felt the portions were generous, especially for the price and the quality. The Crunchy Chili Oil was out of the world. I’ve had a lot of chili oil sauces before, it’s a staple, but this one was by far the best I’ve ever had. I am hoping to book a Vinai Feast later this year. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough!
Will Hellmich
Loved the food here! I had their home made sausage and thought it was some of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely go back.
Loe Lee
Solid. Would go again. We ordered the meal for two plus the vermicelli as a pickup order. Texture of the fried chicken was on point. Purple rice was nice and firm/sticky. Vermicelli was really light, fresh, and beautiful to look at. Root veggies were pretty standard but I think we forgot to pour the sauce over it and used it as dipping sauce by mistake. So maybe definitely go here but ask them for sauce direction. Regardless, kind staff, timely food, great textures and refreshingly original flavours.
Josiah Bird
Amazing food! We got the family meal for 2 with an additional side of fried chicken. It was a good amount of food. Generous amounts of protein. 3 adults and 2 young kids ate until they were stuffed. The smoke flavor on the pork was perfect. The seasoning on the fried chicken was spot on. Both sauces were delicious. The roasted veggies were also really good. I never had sticky purple rice before; so that was fun to try too. I would definitely get food from their again.
Hilda Guerra
The food is delicious. I was a little hesitant about the quality because it’s a truck. However, everything I ordered was on point. The whole grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The taro chips are so good (I placed a second order!). The roasted cauliflower was delicious too and even better when dipped with the sides they provide. I will be coming back for more over and over!
Chris M
Had ordered take out. Ordered the pork chop, purple rice, veggies, and fried chicken. Pork chop was good and juicy. The pickled vegetables were not good. It was too much and kind of overwhelming. Pickled food is usually never a full side dish. Also whoever cooked that purple sticky rice wss horrible. The dark purple rice kernals were still hard which gave a horrible texture of soft rice and hard uncooked rice. Will try again at some point, but not having high expectations. Also pepper is not good, too watery.
Corey Butler
I had the fried chicken, potluck salad, roasted root vegetables, and purple rice. Everything was delicious. Best chicken I’ve had in a while. And now I’ve got a good supply of pickles and Mama Vang’s hot sauce in the fridge. The sauce is a nice variant of chili garlic sauce, with an extra hit of fermented flavor. I highly recommend trying this place while it is in the neighborhood.
Katherine Mumm
Huge fan of Chef Vang’s food! Can’t beat that purple sticky rice, and whenever his Galabao is on the menu, we always order extra because it’s phenomenal.
Joy Kalkofen
Tiger Bite sauce is worth the price of admission! Ordered the dinner for 2 (chicken) plus the pork side (takeout during the time of Corona). MORE than enough food for 2! So good! The pork had incredible flavor, everything was great. I am so proud of everything Chef Vang has done to share these amazing flavors with Minnesota & all his exposure in BonAppetit!
Ian Dotson
The chicken sandwich might be the best I’ve ever had, a big portion with delicious crispy breading and perfect crunchy chili oil topping, very filling; the fried rice is also some of the best I’ve had, very fresh with plenty of ingredients besides the rice; and the quail egg and chicken noodles are also delicious with a scrumptious broth/stock included; all in all top tier food obviously made with care and attention to detail, the recipes are so finely tuned, and fair prices and portions! Try it out!
Courtney Backen
The food here was incredible!! Every single thing we ordered was delicious, flavorful, and memorable. Even side dishes that seem simple (like the cabbage) were amazing—highly recommend!
S E
I had their carryout and was so impressed by everything. I had the fried chicken sandwich with tots and yucca chips and it was all amazing. Seriously some of the best tots that I've ever had. They had some bone broth outside too since it was a chilly night which was such a nice gesture. Loved all of it!!!! I'll be back!
Dennis Merley
We did the Vinai Feast for six people last night at our house and it was a spectacular experience. Chef Vang delivered the meal himself, then laid out the food, told us the story of his background and why this feast is named as it is, and then explained each item of the meal. It was one of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences of my life.
John Westby
I got the BBQ pork with brussel sprouts and the food was incredible! Great service and friendly staff. There is a reason they have such a long line to order, it was worth the wait.
Sara Brown
The amazing salad is phenomenal. Best salad maybe ever??? They have great sauces here too
Ellen Wall
Yes yes yes. This place is so good. Highly recommend. Dinner was incredible. Please go here.
Carmen DeHague
I honestly am just blown away by this food. It's easily the most wonderful, clean meal you could get from a local food truck. I struggle with finding gluten/dairy free meals around town (especially during covid) and these guys have like the most bomb a$$ chicken, it should be illegal. Their purple sticky rice is totally unique and ownable and the root veggies/brussel sprouts are absolutely delicious. I could not give them a higher review. You won't be disappointed <3
Ryan Duclos
The food is really good, unfortunately the sandwich at this location 'Graze' is really small so just make sure you're aware of that when you get it.
Robert Haukenberry
First time having Hmong cuisine, this place is off the charts amazing. Had the Sausage, just do it.
Chase Nelson
I've been meaning to try UHK for awhile now, I wish it wasn't during Covid. The food I ordered was great, the six person meal deal easily fed my family. All the sides I ordered were great as well. The best thing was actually the spicy sauce, but what made it great was how it blended with everything else. If you're looking for a great takeout option this is it.
Sarah Ellingboe
Absolutely amazing! The food is delicious - we got the Khao Poon and Hmong Hotdish and both were gone immediately. The people are also fantastic - they forgot one of the items in our order and refunded the item and gave us a free order of chips (without us asking) and had the item ready within 5 minutes! Will definitely be going back soon!
Pati Hyun
Got the family meal for two and it was more than enough to keep us full and happy! Pork was tender, sauce was flavorful, holy heck! Excited to add them to our take out rotation. Thanks Union Hmong Kitchen
Marin Olson
I would have posted a gorgeous photo of the colorful purple rice bowl but it has already been devoured. The chicken was incredible and the flavors bursting and bright. Will be coming back as a regular and cannot wait for the brick and mortar to open!
Angie Szyman
Fabulous food. Fills you up but also tastes so amazing it leaves you wanting more. The flavors pop in your mouth and the menu is creative and every item has a unique, tasty flavor. Highly recommend everyone experiences this awesome food!
Noah Sanders
Scholars will puzzle for centuries over how they make their chicken that crispy on the outside and that moist and full of flavor on the inside. My taste buds were just shocked awake from a slumber they didn't even know they were having. When we inevitably make contact with extra-terrestrial life and they demand to taste the finest cuisine Earth has to offer, I hope for everyone's benefit, we bring them Union Hmong Kitchen.
Trevor Cabrera
UNREAL. PORK BELLY. PURPLE RICE. THE BEST SAUSAGE AHMONG US. GO HERE. BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!!!!

I have chased Yia and his pop ups around the cities for years, this food is amazing. Spicy, flavorful, attention to detail. There are zero flaws in his cooking, he is an incredibly talented chef with an inventive menu, his food tastes like no one else’s.

Best food truck in the twin cities. Fantastic flavor and non mn heat orientated foods. Everything I've had here has been amazing and it brings be great sadness to share my plates even with friends. Since I now have less.

YUM. We loved everything about this meal - really good value of quantity/quality, great flavors, really easy and on time pick up. BUT THOSE CARROTS. Please try the carrots. Who would have thought we will be dreaming about carrots???
Andrea
So good. The flavors explode in your mouth. We tried the fried chicken, broccoli, pulled pork and sticky rice and they all received five stars from my husband, 7 year old and me.

Consider myself lucky to live near this spot. Fried chicken is out of this world, and the rotating specials are great. Family meal has come through clutch many times since covid hit. Thank you 🙏 …

just to be clear, this is very much a hmong fusion place vs traditional hmong food, but that isn’t a knock on it because what they are doing is delicious. the pork belly was absolutely on point, it was tender, and packed with flavor. the portions were solid for the price and the food came out fast. i think you should definitely give it a try and pick something you haven’t had before!
