Very good spot here at Tommies’s Pizza, pizza and wings are highly recommended! Definitely better than any chain restaurant. Make sure to eat the pizza while hot, don’t let it sit in the box too long! Was very good still though, for me, 7.5/10! Wings were excellent as well! Give Tommie’s Pizza a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Solid pizza every time. Foldable NY style pizza. I love their sauce and use of herbs. The wings are some of the best I’ve ever had. They have a smoky taste and nice grilled char on the outside. We ordered with the Selby sauce which is kind of a sweet honey BBQ flavor with a very subtle spice.

Value for price: very good. Thin crust with herbs all over, delicious and easy to conquer a medium pie by yourself if appetite allows. Good mix of doughy bread and crispy crust. I like the stocked beverage cooler and simple desert options. This is a neighborhood staple for the Merriam Park neighborhood. Thank you.

Traveling all the way from New York and saw this place online. Pizza definitely reminds me of classic New York Pizza. The seasoning that goes into the sauce and that garlic taste hits your pallet like wonders. The wings are definitely something to hit home about. The carbon taste and the sweet barbecue sauce was 10/10. Would definitely recommend going in and getting a quick bite. Hopefully you guys expand soon

It’s been so hard to find a place that has New York style pizza and this place brings all the flavor! I honestly almost started crying when i took a bite. The crust is incredible and the sauce… oh my god the sauce - seasoned to perfection. I honestly can’t get enough hahaha. Everyone in there was so warm and friendly ❤️ I will definitely be returning and recommending to all my friends. Come and get this delicious pizza!! Best in St. Paul ❤️

Spend one minute here and you will see why this place has 5.0 stars with over 200 reviews. I ordered online to show up and realize I'd put it in for the wrong day. I was kicking myself and Tommie says...don't worry...I got you! 15 mins later...fresh, delicious pizza and awesome wings for the family. This pizza has everything....thin crust, crispy on the outside with great chew, lots of cheese and lots of sauce. My wife's verdict: "We're never going to Pizza Luce again!". Shout out to Tommie - the guy is a neighborhood treasure.

We recently stopped in for pizza while in St. Paul visiting a college. The reviews didn't lie -- this pizza is delicious. I haven't had pizza this good in years. We're going to make it a regular stop whenever we are in the area. Also, the owner and his daughter are very nice! Plus, they had half-lemonade half-tea in the beverage cooler, which is a bonus. Oh, and also the prices are really reasonable!!

Wow!!! Just delicious. It was even good the next day. You can taste the freshness in the ingredients for the pizza. And that crust. OMG!! Just the right amount flakiness. The Selby Wings were a perfect mixture of spice and sweetness. I will definitely eat here again and again whenever I'm in the city

Best pizza In Minnesota. Went to this place because my wife asked if I’d like to try it. And I’m so glad we did. Amazing food, super fair prices and portions are solid. Kind, warm gentleman who helped us was also playing some cool jazz. This place is becoming a favorite and quickly.

The best pizza shop in the area while also being the most affordable. Savoys, Checkerboard, or Doge doesn't have any of the culture of this place. The interior is comfortable and always has some soulful music playing. Get the Margarita or the Tommies Special.

Friday is pizza day in my house. I was in St. Paul golfing and found this gem. Amazing!! Their pizza has the perfect ratio of crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. And the wings. Oh the wings. Cooked in the oven at high temp. The sauce was cooked on and charred a bit. Great! I will find more reasons to come back to the area to have this pizza and the wings.

I ordered Tommie’s Pizza’s The Selby Pizza through GrubHub initially and then DoorDash. GrubHub must have their hours inputted incorrectly and Tommie’s Pizza may want to attend to this, because I had issues getting my order to work through them. They automatically cancel orders at and after 5:02 PM. I finally managed to get an order with them through DoorDash. I’d recommend to stay away from GrubHub until this is sorted out. I had my pizza scheduled to be delivered at 5:00 PM well in advance and they apparently had the order ready, but GrubHub’s system for some reason closes Tommie’s Pizza at 5:02 PM per my conversation with their customer support. Pretty frustrating! I hope nobody has the same problem I had above. Now, finally to their food! Their pizza is solid! It has a nice crust and I love the tomato chunks. I only wish they added more sauerkraut to the pizza. Their pizza is good, I’m not sure it’s at a 5 star rating quite yet. I am interested in knowing more about the amount of 5 star ratings this establishment has. It’s an outstanding accomplishment to achieve to say the least! I want to try their wings next, they look extremely delicious! Their wait times are pretty incredible, I’d imagine it’s because they’re extremely busy with their short timeframe to place an order with them. I managed to finally get my pizza 10 minutes before they closed.

Very good food! The pizza and wings are amazing quality for the price. I have been very impressed by the food. The service is also usually very good. However, sometimes the wait is longer than you’d expect. The last time I went I showed up 30 minutes after I ordered, and then stood in the restaurant for 10 minutes, then they told me they had to remake my pizza. I then had to wait another 15 minutes. This only happened once out of the 10 times I’ve been here, but was pretty annoying. It shouldn’t take an hour to get one pizza right. You shouldn’t order from here if you are in a rush.

How have lived in the Twin Cities this long and not had this?? This is my new favorite pizza. Had the Tommie's special, and I can say that it is the embodiment of just an all around great piece of pizza. Hands down. Crust was New York style, but crispy. Sauce had excellent seasoning, and toppings tasted like quality was used. New favorite. Definitely worth checking out.

First off the owner is such a nice guy. The pizza is great. He was cooking wings and I wish I would have ordered wings! He has awesome specials and you can even order by the slice. Don't hesitate to try it. Cute inside seating.

Best pizza in town! I have now eaten from here twice and both times I was very impressed. It isn't often I sit and think about the food I just ate because of how good it was but this was one of them. For starters, Tommie's actually does toppings. Most other places confuse toppings with the substance of the pizza. Toppings should just be a bit of flavor added to the pizza and not the pizza itself. This is not to say they skimp on the toppings, just that they use the correct amount a traditional pizza should have. Next, the crust is very well made. light, crispy, and savory. I would guess the chef is an actual chef, meaning extensive training and education in culinary arts. My only complaint is that they don't deliver on their own. You do need to use a food delivery app and that adds to the price. In fact that is the reason I put off trying Tommie's for so long. Regardless of the small delivery thing, Tommie's is the best pizza in town.

Very tasty pizza, but I especially enjoyed the wings; the sauce was unique and delicious. Very friendly owner. UPDATE January 2023- Tommie's Pizza is still great and I continue to recommend it to all. There is a reason there are so many 5-star reviews and an overall 4.9 rating after 300+ of them: it is a good place to eat. I am always baffled by the bad reviews; I have eaten here many times and not once was the pizza bad. And even if it was, Tommie would make it right, I am sure.

Best damn pizza in the Twin Cities. Best damn wings in the country. You’re missing out not spending your $ routinely at Tommie’s. I’ve had a number of pies there now and truly amazing! They also have desserts so don’t sleep on those. We go here at least once a month.

Great pizza! I love the crispy, chewy thin yet substantial style crust. The owner is always really nice, just genuine and you feel better walking out than when you walked in the door with that great vibe. You can tell he actually cares about the quality and products he offers and cares for the customer experience. Also the wings are really good, I know in my experience most pizza shop wings arent the best, these are great i recommend the jerk seasoned ones. Its nice to have a really good pizza spot of this NY style in the area. Gonna always come back, thanks!!

Everything about this pizza joint is first class. The Pizza: We ordered a large half sausage half cheese. The cheese was a high quality mozzarella with great taste and a nice texture that stretches when you pull it. The sauce was very good as well. The crust was perfect - just the right thickness and texture, browned on the bottom, with a nice chewy edge. The Italian sausage was great. It all came together to make a very good pizza pie. My only desire - There's a bit too much salt coming from one of the ingredients that prevents some of the wonderful flavor from shining through. The pizza joint - This is what people in New York refer to as a neighborhood pizza joint. Not a lot of indoor seating. A couple outdoor tables lining the front window. Nothing super fancy. Just a clean place with a pizza oven, a counter and a beverage cooler. These are the places that often serve the best pizza as is the case with Tommie's. If you sit at one of the outdoor tables you get to enjoy a great city vibe as well.

Tommie's pizza is absolutely delicious. They have a great crust that is thin and crispy toward the center with a savory, soft crust. If you are doing pickup, I recommend calling rather than ordering online, or at least call to confirm pickup time after ordering online. They are a small kitchen, and I think their timing for online orders is a little funky at the moment. We waited for about 10-15 minutes after the pickup time we selected, but the delicious pizza made it worth it 👩‍🍳💋

Pizza is better than any chain you'll find, but I prefer Poppin at Keg & Case, especially Poppins bacon chicken ranch.. Dem wings though!!! Buffalo was really good, and you can tell they were marinated, and not just tossed in a bunch of sauce. I love seeing the owner inside working his butt off, and will definitely support again.

Honestly this is the best pizza I’ve ever had... maybe one or two other places came close but this place beats em all, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for when it comes to pizza. All the ingredients are fresh and go together very well. The tomatoe sauce was unbelievable, so good. The crust was perfect and the first bite tasted just as good as the last. Everything was seasoned perfect and nothing was overpowering. You definitely know what you’re doing Tommie!!!👍

I heard about Tommie's Pizza a couple weeks ago and decided to drive from North Minneapolis to St. Paul to check it out. Totally worth the drive! Personally, I like to judge new pizza places on their plain cheese - no toppings to 'hide behind'. Tommie's crust was airy yet chewy, the sauce was seasoned beautifully, and the cheese had a nice pull. The ratio of sauce, cheese, and crust was just about perfect. We also got a sausage and mushroom pizza which did not disappoint! The sausage was amazing. I got hit with the aroma of it before I took my first bite and I knew it was going to be fantastic. Highly recommend!!

I wanted pizza but only one slice. I decided to stop by Tommie's Pizza after leaving Whole Foods which is across the street. Wow--I am so happy I stopped by! The pizza was awesome--I have had all types of pizza in Minnesota and none had pizza crust like Tommie's. Every bite had a crispy soft crunch! I don't know how this is done, but I finally found pizza without soggy and tough pizza dough. I ordered one slice with red onions, mushrooms, and black olives (I am on a no meat journey). Oooh-chile, I found a new spot for a single slice of pizza! My only crtitque is that the red sauce is kinda bland so the next time I will add red pepper flakes and garlic when I get home. I never had New York style pizza so the sauce is probably how it should be--I have a southern palate so I need a little kick. Overall, good job Tommie! I never write reviews but it's been a long search for good pizza and I finally found a spot. Today was good day!

Best pizza in town! I've been here a couple times. The staff I always very friendly. One time I ordered two slices of pepperoni. I waited about 10 minutes then they told me they were out of slices, so they gave me a small pizza with no extra charge.

We love their pizza so much - everything we have had has been delightful. I particularly love the Tommie's Special - I don't always love mushrooms on pizza but it is so good. Also, the owner and staff are just beyond kind. As a klutzy human, I somehow managed to drop my pizza on the way out tonight (right in the middle of busy rush hour dinner orders). They made me another pizza and were so kind about the whole thing. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Go for the delicious pizza, and for the great people who make it!

Noticed Tommie's Pizza after leaving Whole Foods one night. We decided to stop in for an impromptu slice as one of Tommie's neon signs states they sell pizza buy the slice. Boy are we glad we did. We purchased three slices of cheese Two were eaten that night. They sat really well in our stomachs. Taste is fantastic: good crispy crust, cheese ideally melted, and just the right amount of sauce. Heard lots of good things about Tommy’s I had to check it out for myself. On first glance, the lady who took my order over the phone got my order taken perfectly, a large half pepperoni half bacon pizza with ten wings half buffalo half garlic Parmesan. I have a problem with eating my food before taking a pic, these were so good that this pic was almost a pile of bones! I ordered these before rush time and was able to chat with Tommy for a bit. He told me there is a 5 step process to make them. They were the best wings I have ever had. My review is on the Jerk and the Selby wings, both were excellent.

Recently I had the pleasure of stopping in the classic little pizzeria. I live in New York, pizza is a big deal here. Walking in, I was instantly taken back to 1990. The place felt and looked like a place I would visit as a kid. My MN pizza experience was shot leading up to this visit. The few other places I tried were just gross. An insult to pizza. If I'm being honest, I expected the same walking into Tommys place. They served me up a cheese slice with buffalo sauce on top. There was a good crunch when I bit in. There was a good cheese blend, and a good sauce recipe. My taste buds exploded. Success! I was so relieved. The cost is super affordable and the atmosphere was a direct equal with the quality of food. The owner, and the lady on counter, were as warm as my slice. I mean it, stop in to this place. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Listen, it has a perfect 5 stars based on over 200 reviews. Do you know how hard it is to get 200 people to agree on something? I tried to coordinate a meeting with like 9 people one time and none of them could agree on the name of the project. I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, specifically the 18-inch BBQ chicken pizza, which Google helpfully informed me was larger than 2 12-inch pizzas. I ordered that size because my wife was hungry and blurted out the largest size offered. I spent the entire drive there thinking "this pizza is going to go to waste, there's 2 of us, we'll have pizza coming out of our ears until it goes stale." We ate it all. I don't know what's in the sauce, I frankly think it's best that I don't, but whatever it is, the fact that I'm sitting here with no pizza and thinking about it is making me genuinely sad. We ate more pizza than any two people should be able to consume in a sitting and I probably could've eaten more if we had it, and then needed life saving medical intervention. We've tried pizza from just about every joint in St. Paul, and this is by far, with no contest, the best.

Best decision i ever made was to give this place a try on a sunday evening and im not regretting it one bit, so far i've recommended friends and family to give this place a try if they ever want an upgrade from pizzahut and dominoes. This place has amazing pizza! Had an issue with a phone order but long story short, they were incredibly accommodating. Staff replaced the order and I had my pizzas almost right away! Great service. Tommie's would be my favorite pizza shop in St. Paul even if the pizza was only okay and believe me it is far far more than okay. Best eaten hot out the oven by the slice (two slices of cheese is my regular dine-in order) but in times of corona a lovely take-out option as well. I'd say they have a lovely staff, but perhaps a better way to get at it is that Tommie is a great guy with a lovely family (it's always a pleasure to see Maya as well!). Excellent pizza, and an even better contribution to the neighborhood.

Best pizza I have had in a long time!! We got a pepperoni and a tommie’s pizza. Great flavor, great taste and great crust!!! Also likes that all employees were wearing a mask and the front screen door was locked for safe social distancing practices. You were able to come to the door when you pizza was ready and grab it and leave. Felt very safe! Will for sure be getting it again!

Me and some friends from college came to just catch up over pizza- and we absolutely loved it! First off- Awesome service, all of them were very friendly. You can tell its a family owned business- because how everyone treats you. Like you came to someone's house. The Veggie pizza was sooo good!!! Had a nice opportunity to speak with Tommie personally a couple times and meet his incredibly friendly and hardworking family. And also, had the amazing opportunity to enjoy a wonderful big slice of pizza and some of the BEST WINGS IVE EVER HAD. You think I’m lying. I’m absolutely telling you the truth. Everything about Tommie's is five stars. So friendly, great value, delectable pizza! We got the margherita and it was so perfect, the crust both crispy and chewy, big chunks of motz, fresh basil shredded all over so you get some with every bite. At first, we questioned Tommie’s five star review. We had walked by often and not seen much going inside, but we decided to make the trip tonight. Once inside, we were greeted warmly by a man than I assumed to be Tommie. We ordered a Hawaiian and a Very Veggie, and they did NOT disappoint. The crust was thin, the toppings fresh and we especially loved how the Canadian bacon was cut. Would definitely love to go again to try the wings!

You know when you see pizza in cartoons and the cheese is all thick and stretchy and it looks tastier than anything that could ever exist in real life? Tommie’s is cartoon pizza. It’s better than cartoon pizza. It’s unbelievable. Especially the sauce, crust, cheese, and fresh toppings. My wife and I are literally vegans but we make a monthly exception for Tommie’s pizza.

I ordered the wings and a pepperoni slice.... if you were an 80's kid thinking that you wanted to try a slice of the pizza on TMNT, because it looked bomb as heck, I just had that experience. First time I hit TOMMIES today! I ordered a medium sausage/onion pie, and the selby wings. For some reason when I arrived at my pick up time the order had not been processed and they had to figure that out. They had me wait around 15 min. Normally I would be more irritated but this is a small shop that is black owned and they were nice about it. They mentioned giving me a discount but they never followed that up and I didn't push it. UPDATE THEY REFUNDED A PORTION OF MY ORDER.. FANTASTIC. Either way, I tried a slice and it was tremendous. A solid "football" pizza. Nice char on the bottom of the crust, a bit buttery, a nice parmesan finish. One of the most solid Pizzas you can get in the cities, and I dont throw that around lightly. This spot is worth a try. The wings were also extremely solid. A wonderful grilled flavor on the Selby wings. Super smoky, sweet, savory. Probably, one of the better wings in St. Paul. Definitely give Tommies a try, its surprisingly impressive.

My guy. Loved this place. I called for a pickup order and it didn't take long for it to become apparent that Tommie's Pizza is a one man band. I could hear him clanging pizza pans around as I placed my order and when I had a second thought and changed it- I heard more pans shuffling to deal with my wondering mind. I asked about a bar-b-que chicken pizza. "...yeeeah. We got that.." I truly believe that he simply realized he was able to make that pizza on the spot and decided to say they have it. Off the menu. How great is that. To call a pizza shop, name a pizza and they say "yeah we have that." The pizza was outstanding and the store was clean. Sure enough, Tommie in an apron at the ovens when we got there to pick up our order. And the WINGSS boyeeeee! Soo good. Pizza crust was outstanding. So fantastic. Will definitely be back. Also bogo by the slice Monday-Wednesday? Wow. Tommie's pizza is fantastic.
