It is a small Ethiopian restaurant not more than 10minutes away (by car) from Downtown Minneapolis. Super affordable. You dont need a reservation, you can just walk in and trust me you wouldn’t walk out without being completely full. The portion size is amazing. I wanted to have beef and something spicy, so the waitress recommended number 28 on the menu and I absolutely loved it. Also had Ethiopian beer and cheesecake. The cheesecake was okay but everything else was top notch. The restaurant isnt fancy but the staff is so warm and welcoming and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend. A must visit restaurant.

I got the half and half option. The flavor was great without being too spicy! I preferred the kitfo but the beef tips was still good. Just wish there was more sauce/slightly more food included.

Great service!!! Amazing food!!! The servers are polite, and give you great recommendations. The food comes out delicious, and quick. Titi and kidi always have a great smile on their faces.

Absolutely amazing experiences at this restaurant time and time again. I have been going for years and the food is always so true with amazing service. The owners and TiTi (one of the waitresses I believe ) are especially kind! Recently was even more impressed with this establishment after placing a large catering order right before my event. The food was perfectly on time, well portioned, amazingly presented on traditional trays, and very rich in flavor! They helped me tremendously and my guests were raving the entire night, even wanting to take home leftovers! If your on the edge about ordering or dining here, this is your big bright flashing sign to do so!! Thank you The Red Sea!

Cozy venue with good food. I enjoyed the seasoning quite a bit. The stewed meat was quite tender.

I got the roll sampler, and the “Half-n-Half” which is Kitfo and Derek Tibs. It was delicious and the helpings are HUGE. Definitely could have fed 2 people easily. I really liked the Derek Tibs and the injera was sooo good! The server was super nice.

This is the best Ethiopian food in Minneapolis. My Aunt who is from Ethiopia says it reminds her of her mothers food back home. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for authentic tasting Ethiopian food. The services was punctual and speedy.

The food here is so great, and it is one of the best options if you are looking to do some late-night dining. Highly recommend coming here with a group of friends and getting the Tour of Ethiopia, it is a great experience

I had a truly amazing time with Red Sea. I called them, placed an order for the Super Veggie Combo (a fun and apt name), and they had it ready for pickup in 20 minutes even though it was dinner time. The staff were all very nice despite being busy, and the atmosphere of the restaurant itself was welcoming and upbeat. As for the food: it really banged and three adults had leftovers for an item advertised as "feeding two"
