Beautiful experience here, top to bottom. This is not going to be the most informative review but I learned a lot from our gracious server. She was patient, attentive and helpful. This is my second time going here but I feel much more relaxed and comfortable knowing how much they take care of their customers.
The food itself is absolutely to die for. We had the king crab, the surf and turf, the shrimp tempura and the oysters. Do yourself a favor and ask the server about the selection of oysters. They are all different in flavor and size, texture as well. You can definitely learn a thing or two about fine dining when you come here. They will do any preparing of the king crab so that you don't have to mess up your hands or look clumsy doing it. Also, just FYI they have a program where you spend $25 you'll get a $25 credit back. And it's a rewards program that also works at several other restaurants here in Minnesota. It is totally worth it.

Most wonderful 1st time experience! The service was insightful regarding the menu & pleasant I regards to drink offers/refills & manners.
The food was impeccable! Please give my compliments to the back of house employees as well as whoever you purchase you meats from!! It was rather pricey prior to eating but once all the food was devoured it felt as though the price was right. Thank you for the memorable experience. I look forward to coming back soon!!

The finest seafood experience in the Twin Cities! As a staple in downtown Minneapolis for many decades, it's always a delight to enjoy their amazing menu and their top quality service. Our visit was on a busy Saturday for a friends with a party of 8 (note: they only sit parties when 75% of the group is seated), which only took a few moments to be placed at a table.
We were fortunate to have Tony, a 17 year veteran of the restaurant, as our waiter - and his seasoned expertise showed throughout our meal. From the advise on bar service with espresso martinis and our friends ordering oysters while I had the clam chowder appetizers, to delivery of our delicious surf and turf of bone in ribeye with the Alaskan king crab upgrade plus lobster mac & cheese, the experience all around was worth the money. Plus you cant leave an amazing meal without a perfect finish tantalizing your sweet tooth!

Amazing experience as to be expected. Valet offered for $15 and very worth it unless you’re just walking from a hotel - downtown parking can be a nightmare.
I ordered the escargot for an appetizer that had the perfect blend of buttery garlic and rich bold flavors. Followed by the live lobster. They crack it and she’ll it right in front of you making for a show. Finishing off with baked Alaska! For the month of October this is pink for breast cancer awareness and I like that as well.
Drinks I recommend anything on the menu, the guava daiquiri was nice and refreshing as well as the sangria. Both come in a nice presentation and the guava has an “edible orchid” though I did not try it. Worth the $$ and a great experience

My wife and I went to Oceanaire for our 5 year Anniversary and they did not disappoint. The host was very friendly as she walked us to our table, asking us if there was a special occasion. She then relayed the information of our Anniversary to our server Chuck. My wife and I both agree Chuck was by far the best server we have ever had at any restaurant. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and precise. He gave great recommendations, answered our questions, and he knew exactly when to check in with us. We orded oysters, appetizers, salads, entrees, and desert. The food was spectacular, tasted great, looked amazing and was very fresh. The best however was the pacing, once we ordered the food came out perfectly in order and on time. It felt like we were never waiting for our food. The moment we were done with a plate it was cleared by the server assistant and our next course was brought out. The whole experience felt very much in rhythm from the kicthen to the wait staff. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. We will definitely be back!

Always a treat to go out with friends and eat at Oceanaire Seafood. Excellent food, great service staff, and a good place to people watch. The specialty drinks, however, were not that special. I ended up eventually going with my usual Sapphire Tonic. Overall, a nice place to dine.

We went on Christmas Eve it was a little busy we had to wait about 30 minutes after our reservation but that’s OK we got to go to the bar and get drinks. The staff was very nice and friendly gave us great recommendations. Although I do not really prefer the lobster mac & cheese it’s not that good but my dad said that the oysters were really good and the calamari is decent. they have a great selection of cheeses. Their Brie cheese is the best. Parking was relatively easy they have valet and parking garages all around for about $10-$20 depending on the event it could go even higher. Oh one thing I really liked about this place was that they had a mixed drink with Rémy Martin! you normally don’t see that very often considering you normally just sip remy. But the drink was pretty good, I had to try Remy is my favorite.

If you're looking for excellent seafood, this is THE place. Ambiance is a tad stuffy...wear your best or you'll feel out of place. Expect to spend $200+ for 2 people and be prepared to feel slightly pressured from the wait staff if you're wanting to try to stick within a budget. (My daughter and I were going to split on entree and our server made me feel cheap by inquiring multiple times if "I was really sure". All in all, very good food, but you definitely need to be prepared for the price.

Been a while since I’ve dined here and I almost forgot how delicious the food is! Everything we had was perfect and the service was wonderful! Would need to go back for more clam chowder, oysters and crab cake.
