This is the best Mediterranean restaurant I have ever visited in my entire life. No other Mediterranean restaurant has meat better seasoned, fillings so flavorful, and sauce so amazing. I had a wonderful Mediterranean wrap with a fresh Greek salad. Absolutely stunning, and the atmosphere only added to it. Surprisingly roomy, this small bar/restaurant is a perfect fusion of old world food and new world décor. On top of all of this, the staff was beyond nice and the food was extremely quick. I will be going back here, again and again.

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere. I tried the Street Cart Fries with Beef and Lamb Döner and really enjoyed it. My friends had the Beef and Lamb Wrap and liked it, but not quite liked the Falafel wrap. For healthy options, their Mediterranean style salads are REALLY good! Overall, tasty food with fair prices and decent portions, will definitely be back to try more menu items!

My friend suggested this and this has truly amazing food. If you take a combo is really good enough for two. Loved the way they prepared the food. I would have loved a little bit spicy in the wrap sauces, but that’s my thought. They food was ready very quick and we had good time finishing the food.

I had the Döner Basket. It was tasty but nothing like real Turkish Döner, it was only American style gyro meat, nothing else, so I was disappointed right off the bat because I love real Döner. Don't call it a Döner when it's not! It was also very french fries heavy. The dish was more than half filled with french fries and less than half was salad and meat (the falafel ball was missing too). I wish they'd adjust the ratio a little to maybe 1/3 fries, 1/3 meat and 1/3 salad, especially for $14 plus tax. The other thing that bothered me was that it was very hard to eat because it was piled into this baking pan and stuff kept falling out while I was trying to eat it. Overall not something I would get again but I'd be willing to come back and try the Street Greek Gyro. My wife had the Berliner Bowl with the Chicken Shawarma. I really didn't like the taste of it and it was cold, I like warm dishes. The chicken was a little on the scarce side and the pickled onions were too spicy for my wife. She said she liked the whole thing but she also said that she would not order it again. We both would like to come back and try a wrap and the sweet potato fries.

I love Spitz! Great atmosphere with interesting murals and records everywhere. Music and lighting just add to the scene and make it such a fun experience! Food is always great. I get the street art wrap with lamb doner. Like a glorified gyro :). I love it. Fries are crunchy perfection and the garlic aioli sauce.. *chefs kiss*. Employees are friendly and helpful. They have games and a shuffleboard table to keep it fun while you're waiting for your food. This place never disappoints.

Lovely lunch spot- will be back! I had a Berliner Bowl with GF/DF modifications and rice, and my partner had a Berliner Wrap. We were both really pleased with our meals. It wasn’t super busy for a late lunch and the decor was really fun.

Real good food at a fair price. The wraps are huge and the drinks are ok. They have special drinks and beers. Can take a random shot at a new beer too. They gave a sampler for us to be sure on what we take. There's parking in the back to avoid a little hassle

Edit : We visited this place once again after 6 months and had a great experience this time too. We ordered a vegan wrap, a sangria, mixed fries and a baklava. Photos are from the more recent visit. Had a great experience here. Went our for a weekday dinner. Easy to order and we got our food pretty quickly. We ordered one Berliner wrap with falafel and one vegan wrap. Both were delicious. We also really liked their basket of mixed fries ( potato fries and sweet potato waffle fries), the seasoning on them tasted superb and they were perfectly seasoned too. Their patio is pet friendly !

Delicious, wholesome, and energizing! I lived in Germany for five months, so I wanted to find a Döner like meal. This is the closest thing I have found yet. The wraps were filled with flavor, fresh ingredients, and tasty sauces!

Ive been in town for about 2 weeks and Ive ordered 4 times already. Got the vegan wrap and added pickled onions. This place is amazing. Super flavorful and fresh. Every time I order through ubereats it gets here so quick. Huge portions too. I usually eat half and the next for later. Will be ordering to take with me when I leave next week. Thanks to all the wonderful staff. I picked up my last order and nice place.

New favorite place right here!! Delicious food, great atmosphere with old school music and decorations honoring the classics. Mediterranean food, we ordered the unicorn baklava along with two wraps and fries that came with a delicious dipping sauce. Highly recommend!! Oh and can’t forget their bloody mary’s!! I’m a huge fanatic for bloodies and theirs were better than the ones I make at home. 😋

I had a wrap, which was very good, but my husband got the fries topped with lamb meat, and OH MY GOD! SO TASTY! Also enjoyed the ambience as a nice place to hang out with a friend. Very casual by ordering at the front, walking to your table with a number, and they'll bring it out to you. Also seemed to have a good variety of beer options and a couple of cocktails if you are into that.

My favorite spot to get gyros- partially because they're delicious but a big part of it is their fried pita bread my FAVORITE thing in the menu! So good. Their gyros taste great too, great balance of sauces and well flavored meat and still good air fried the next day. My husband tried the wraps and they're okay, i like the gyros best. Get an extra side of tzatziki!

1st time on Minneapolis and decided to go here because it was close to my hotel and the reviews were great. When I arrived I hurried and ordered drinks because happy hour ended in 3 mins then I was told the menus were behind me and it was self seating. Well after sitting there for 25 mins I went back to the register to ask why no one had taken my order only to be told they don't come take orders I am to order at the register, well that would've been nice to know when I ordered my drinks and was told to seat myself. The fried were Amazing but the wrap left a lot to be desired. There was barely any meat whatsoever (posted a pic for reference) just lots of cucumbers and cabbage mix. I would've been better off adding meat on top of the fries and calling it a day. Nice ambience and atmosphere and my drinks were good as well. I'd go back but for the fries and maybe try something else buy definitely no more wraps.

Bartender was super friendly, great environment. It's setup to be a like a hip bar. It was really my scene but was very clean ,service was quick, all food and drinks were good. No bad things to say just not a place i personally would visit often. Seemed to be a very niche bar, did not seem super welcoming to my gender nonconforming presentation.

Very good food, but slightly pricey. Chicken was delicious & flavorful, but too dry. They say that one order of falafel comes with hummus so I ordered 3 of them, but then only got 1 small side of hummus which was a bummer & not enough. The baklava is only 4x1x1 inches long which initially seems small, but it's incredibly sweet & rich so the small size was perfect. I know that baklava is supposed to be very sweet & oily, but it would've been nice if they cut down on both the sugar & oil by half.

First time coming here and the food was amazing. We got the Street Cart wrap and the Zesty Feta wrap, along with a side of sweet potato waffle fries. Best waffle fries we’ve ever had. Service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back!

So, so good! It's got a fun atmosphere, great food, beer/drinks, fruit infused water, and an enture care of games! What more could a person want? I get the bowl with the falafel almost every single time, but I've tried the wraps, which are good as well and the fries are so yummy! It's an "order at the counter and they bring your good out to you" type of place. Lots of seating options as well!

It wasn’t until recently we discovered spitz, with craft customizable döner kabobs plus a great happy hour. Multiple local drafts. And amazing food. The space is eclectic and they have off street parking! Cannot wait to go back

Nice a unique variation on the Gyro, a German-Turkish version and the prices are quite nice, set inside a very well appointed and cozy yet large and relaxing environment. The reclaimed and rough edged tables are amazing and aesthetic, as is the modern ecclectic simplicity of the shop-light chandelier. This place is another complement to the southeastern edge of a Food Paradise that stretches the length of Northeast Minneapolis. This is The very beginning of that elegant and pleasant food paradise. They also serve up home made sangria concoctions in their full bar. I could see a summer biking date or a break from a window shopping expedition across the areas concentration of botiques and shops.

We were a group of 5 the order time was quick for three of the 5 meals. The Greek pita sandwiches came 25 minutes later than the other meals, after asking twice. No explanation or apology given. The atmosphere is pleasant and employees are friendly. I definitely recommend trying it.

This is my favorite place in Minneapolis! The street cart doner with beer & lamb is drool worthy, and you can add a little kick by asking for the chili sauce in there. Awesome fries - would recommend getting the mix of regular and sweet potato. When I’m really looking to treat myself, the sangria options are a great addition to my meal. I also love the games they have here - a few work friends and I used Never Have I Ever as a conversation starter, and it took the pressure off of us to come up with topics. Also very jealous of the people we saw playing Battleship. They have Catan, CAH, Uno, playing cards, etc. The gist is: this place has it all. If you want to have a fun time and eat yummy food, look no further.

LIGHTS OUT. Fresh and delicious Mediterranean fusion, with layers of flavor. I had the "Remix" bowl with beef and lamb strips and it was light, but filling with a gently sauced quinoa base, cukes, chick peas (both marinated and crispy), slaw, and several other accoutrements I can't recall but they all complimented each other wonderfully! The service was friendly and very attentive. They also had a great selection of local libations, house sangrias (4 flavors) and a well thought out cocktail selection. I will be back with friends or whenever I'm in the area!

I have had them twice. The first time I was blown away at the quality and portion size. I was super happy with my order. So I recommend it to my co-workers and we all get dinner there. The food was still great, but the portions were smaller. Unfortunately they missed one of the things we ordered and all the drinks. I called told them about it. They offered a refund on the missing things. It has been two weeks still nothing back from them. The first visit was a 5 out of 5, the second was a 1 out of 5. So split the difference and 3 out of 5.

From the time I walked into this establishment to the time I got home with my order and tasted it, I had the BEST EXPERIENCE. It rarely happens where you walk through the door and have an all around great time. The restaurant is so clean and I love the vibe. The person taking my order was so kind and helpful. While I was waiting to order, someone kindly approached me asking if I had a to-go order, ready to help me! As I waited for my food, I noticed how diligent the staff were in the cleaning of the tables, menus, bar, etc. On top of all that my food was sooo good, filling, flavorful and the menu is so vibrant! Such a yummy, fresh, healthy restaurant option in the neighborhood. One of my favorites. I've tried a lot of options on the menu and haven't found anything I dislike. Considering less than healthy options their sweet potatoes fries are the best I've ever had and the dipping sauce for the fries is awesome. All their sauces are spot on. And you can't go wrong with their sangria either.

Wonderful, spacious eating environment with great colors and spraypainted art on the walls. Many of the veggie bowl dishes seemed very similar ingredients wise, but the one I got was quite tasty. The falafel was pretty dry but otherwise everything was great. The hummus and pita chips were unique and delicious, even though the hummus portion was pretty small. There’s a very fun table game here as well that I had a lot of fun with.

If you have had a doner in Berlin, this one was as close as I have come BY FAR in the USA. The big pluses for me: quality ingredients, huge portions that are totally shareable, did not give me a hard time about some modifications/additions I asked for, and the place had an easy charm/vibe.

Where to begin? There are so many reasons to try this restaurant! From the strong drinks, and hearty portions to the bold flavorful sauces! There is something for everyone! The flavor is there and the profiles do not disappoint! My doquitos were on the over cooked side so for that reason I can't give the 5 stars however I will be bringing my husband back for a second try and if all goes well I'll update my rating then.

Phenomenal Mediterranean food! Spitz was recommended by a St. Paul friend, and the doquitos were delicious - each ingredient complemented the next. I have not eaten here before. I knew nothing about the food type and came here based on the name. I loved this place. I'm just blown away at how good the food was. I enjoyed the fries loaded with chicken and a delightful garlic aioli sauce that just makes my mouth water thinking about it. The portions were larger then I anticipated and just packed to the brim in quantity and flavor! The staff were phenomenal, the gal working was working hard cleaning and attending the patrons. Tables are set up in a way to keep distance, masks enforced. Try the sweet potato fries. Im hooked!

I had not had a doner or a kebab before. The food was flavorful and the space itself is super artistic, although small so there wasn't a ton of room after we sat down given how many other people were there. We also had some of the sangria. Parking was not easy. But that's generally true of that part of town. I also hear they deliver, but I'm not sure if that's true.

The food was Amazing! The pomegranate sangria delicious. If you have never been here its a little awkward. You grab a menu and order at the bar. There is a cart for water and I think silverware etc. Another cart full of games. No signs to explain anything and staff was enjoying hanging out with one another but the food so delicious. We had loaded fries with lamb meat and these fried pita things. Yum! Good thing my friend had been here before because I would of walked out and missed the great food.

As someone who lived the last six years in Berlin, I will say their Berlin products are not very "Berlinish". We went there as a family hoping to have our craving for a Berlin Döner fulfilled, and the kids were all pretty disappointed. The food wasn't bad, but at the same time, didn't meet the expectations we had. It was also pretty expensive when compared to the Berlin street food we've come to love so much.

This became one of my favorite spots after a few bites. The food is simply great and the portion sizes are pretty large. Having spent a year in Berlin, the döners are not necessarily representative of a typical Berliner döner. They are more Americanized and adjusted for local tastes. Fries were fantastic, many great sauces, hummus was great. I look forward to coming back and dining in when possible!

It's a great place to gather with friends and have some fun apps! The sweet potato fries are great but last time we went there we ordered a chicken doquito with no onions and we got a beef one covered in onions! We didn't raise an issue, but thought it was a little funny. Other than that, I really like it, the food is good and the sangria variety is great!

My wife has known about this place for a while and has wanted to try it, and we finally did last night. Delivery person was nice and friendly; Food was amazing! The gyro meat at some places can be quite hit n miss but this place is one that gets it right! The loaded fries are so great and their "burrito" is like a healthier alternative to Chipotle. A tad spendier, but worth it for the obvious quality and freshness of everything. We will guaranteed be ordering this likely once a month as a fun treat!

Sangarias are a 10/10...cheap...and pro tip half off on Tuesday game nights. Service was quick...friendly...and attentive. Decor is SUPER chill (Prince mural says it all). We found this place by accident while walking around the area, and I'm glad we did. This is Turkish street food, which I never had before. The menu is limited to various sandwich wraps with your choice of meat or vegetarian. I had the spicy wrap with lamb, with sweet potato cottage fries on the side and it was absolutely delicious. Servings are quite generous, enough to take half home. There's a full bar as well as soda, lemonade, and other non-alcoholic drinks. Service is casual, you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. There are free, help-yourself water refills, gently flavored with strawberry or lemon. To-go boxes are are available for the taking. We'll be going back, or ordering from Bite Squad delivery.

Spitz provides a nice variety to the food scene in Northeast. Their wraps and bowls have a freshness to them and a combination of many great flavors. If you're there, look for an opportunity to try one of their sangrias as well. Street cart fries are killer. Free flavored waters and numerous sauces to utilize. A little pricey, but fair and worth the cost.

The beer selection puts this fast casual restaurant over the top for me. The food is fantastic and pairing it with a nice craft brew makes for a lovely and not all that expensive dinner. They also do some great sangria and have Groupon offers, making it one of the few truly good restaurants on Groupon in my opinion. Give it a shot if you’re ever in the area. Even tastier if you’ve already had a few drinks.

Usually good in-shop, but delivery orders beware! Its like they don't care since you aren't in their establishment. I always get the street cart fries and I don't understand why I have a different experience every time. Let me explain: sometimes they give me a lot of fries and other times they give me a little, sometimes the fries are crispy and other times they are cold & floppy, sometimes the listen to special instructions and other times they seemingly disregard them. I don't like not knowing what I'm going to get because I opted for delivery. I can live without their fries.

Loved it! My girlfriend (who is German, most people dont know but Döner kebap was actually invented in 🇩🇪) and I have been looking for a place around here that sells Döner for sooo long and well, this didnt disappoint. The tradition German street Döner is in a slightly different style than here but the taste was spot on. The price point was worth it the staff were awesome. And they had board games and a beautiful astetic. 10/10 would recommend.

If I reviewed solely on the food I would give a 5, but part of the thing is the whole experience...sometimes when I try to place a phone order for those delicious street cart fries with sweet potato it goes to a busy signal...good for them and business but not good for me and sometimes staff can be short on the phone, but I do know the folks at the counter take orders, bar tend, and answer the phone so I do know they have a lot going on. The hummus and pita strips are so tasty...crispy and chewy. Their infused water and sangria refreshing and just right. The garlic aioli on the street cart fries top off that masterpiece.

The ambiance is fun, with a giant tribute to Prince. Spitz also carries a wide variety of games and cards (uno, cards against humanity, exploding kittens, etc) and hosts Family night (mondays) and Game nights (tuesdays).

MMMM so good! Their standard streetcart doner wrap truly is THE BEST, although the Berlin and Mediterranean and salads and baskets and fries and falafel are great too...it's all good! I would definitely recommend getting a wrap rather than a sandwich - it's good bread, but these ingredients are at their best in the thin lavash wraps. Great craft beer selection on tap, sangria, even the water has fresh strawberries or cukes for more delicious! One of the best new foodie fast food places here - they even have a punch card so you can justify going once a week :)

Was super happy to have this place come into NE. The streetcar doner and doner basket are both delicious and filling. There have been a couple inconsistencies with service and orders, but still a great place to eat in NE. It is order at the counter, however if you sit at the bar the bartender will wait on you. The design of the interior is very unique and cool as well. Good tap list with mostly local stuff and the sangrias are good as well.

I'm such a huge fan of this place, everything is so fresh and flavorful. My favorite is the Doner Salad - which is loaded with toppings including crunchy chickpeas, kalamata olives, and feta, among others. I also really love the Daquito - sort of like a big Mediterranean taquito, which is deliciously crisp and topped with fresh veggies and feta. Love the beef and lamb one. Highly recommend Spitz if you are looking for a refreshing, flavorful meal.

Super fantastic döner and Mediterranean-inspired food in a cozy bar/dining restaurant. The space is like the TARDIS, bigger on the inside, so don't assume that you won't find a seat just by looking through window. There's seating at the bar as well as both high and low tables. They have a great draft list of MN brews and the Mediterranean Döner with felafel was incredible (I'm sure the carnivores among us would also delight in the offerings). With very friendly staff to boot, I highly recommend this place.

While it helps I like Greek style foods, this place put the right spin for the area on delicious (in my opinion) Greek style food you may find on a NY street corner. The menu, while slightly confusing to order, is based on doners or wraps with fresh veggies, tzatziki sauce and additional toppings and include salad, fries, sweet potato fries and more as sides. A solid beer selection and even a kid plate that any "plain" food lover would appreciate. This all turns into a delectable and very flavorable menu. The music, 80's, 90's and atmosphere is a bonus in it's chipotle-esk order first and relax style. The spray paint really adds a "cool" factor since I am a 90's kid. Overall, awesome place, flavorful food and a great place to eat and chill, very recommendable.

Unique restaurant in Northeast, vinyl and bright colors that pop against the wall, friendly bartender and staff! Was just going to eat bits and pieces of my significant other's meal, but ended up having second dinner at Spitz, it was so good! We ordered the Doquitos in chicken and lamb. I usually do not like lamb, but the spices, flavors (especially the garlic aoili), and texture with the fried lavash bread gave lamb a second chance in my book - delicious! The Doquitos were so good, that I realized mid-meal I had to take a pic and "re-staged" the entrée (it was so good, it's already half gone!). Great interpretation of approachable ethnic food, and a great way to end a summer evening.

Good vibe, nice beer selection. Wife really liked her zesty feta wrap with falafel. My spicy wrap with beef/lamb was just that....absurdly spicy. On par with that loco gringo hot sauce at Chino Latino. The meat was well cooked. The wrap itself was made in the tradition of döners I have had in Europe, in that they layer it in such a way that every bite is consistent. The spice of the sauce just overwhelmed me today. The sweet potato fries were really good. The wrap pita is decent. I have long pined for the bread pouch that they use in Europe, somewhere between a pita and foccacia. Next time I will try the foccacia option and see if it hits closer to the European type.

The first thing I thought when I saw a doner kabob place had opened up in the neighborhood was "this is going to be Eurotrip all over again," re: eating one of these things every single night I fail to make a real dinner. I've been able to contain myself somewhat, but the fact remains that this place is the go-to spot for a quick bite to eat, and it helps that their wraps are much higher quality than anything I encountered at street stands from Barcelona to Prague. Try the street cart fries at least once, they aren't healthy but they're worth it.

Great Doeners here. Comparable to what you'd find in Germany -- almost as good as what you'd find in Spain but not as good as what you'd find in Turkey So for MN, that's really great. However, they are a bit expensive - $10 for a doener?!?!?! If this restaurant were in Europe, it'd go out of business as doeners are typically priced around $4-7. Beer menu is vast but pricey.

The worst part about Spitz is having to decide what to get because everything is delicious and worth having. My advice? Come hungry, get everything, and plan on sharing. Start with a wrap, but which one? The favorite Street Cart Doner stuffed with fried lavish chips is a fantastic and obvious choice, but if you're with a friend or a group, why not get the Berlin Doner with its tangy and delicious red sauce and share them both? Take it to the next level with their Doner with Pommes-- their traditional wrap with choice of meat, garlic aioli, and you guessed it, french fries. What a treat? But here is where things get tricky: Spitz has the most amazing fries and if you've got a hankerin' for a mound of deliciousness, then skip the side of fries and get an order of the Street Cart Fries. Think french fry nachos topped with spiced mixed meats, fresh veggies, aioli, and feta. Sometimes I feel like I just want an order for myself. Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? Check out their Doquitos, Mediterranean Style Taquitos! Stuffed with meats or cheese and topped with the lettuce-tomato-feta-aioli goodness. I'm seriously drooling just writing this! You can't go wrong!
