Reviews of Sal's on Fifth

This place doesn't have done in, but the pizza is super fire. I haven't been here in years. The location is very convenient right in front of the light rail...There is a little language barrier with customer service. Amazing Pizza which gained five stars. They don't take cards!!!! ATM in the corner by door when you walk in...🔥🔥🌞☀️

Stopped after a concert, delicious pizza. Had pepperoni and jalapeno. Love the crispy crust new York style pizza. Huge selection. Cash only. The guy was very nice who served us. Will definitely be back!!!

I’ve delivered from here so was enticed to try Sal’s from waiting in the shop to pick up orders. The smell of pizza in there is intoxicating. I got pepperoni and veggie pizza slices to try. They were huge! I think single slice is worth $7, although some would disagree. It’s a freakin’ meal in a slice from a size standpoint. More importantly, this pizza has a crispy bottom to the crust that’s soooo satisfying when you crunch through it. Nice ratio of sauce to toppings, too. I have to believe these slices are best enjoyed fresh from the shop or after being broiled a couple minutes after they’ve been sitting in a delivery bag, to maintain the crispness.
The guys who work there are good people. They take care of the delivery drivers and greet me warmly even when they’re slammed with orders.
Parking, even for delivery pick up, leaves something to be desired since the light rail stop is in front of it. I usually park across the way in the lot and hop the fence. This can be a bit challenging when there’s snow on the ground, so bring your snow boots.
In short, an excellent late night spot for a hearty slice of NY-style pizza. Wish more places were open late in Minneapolis like Sal’s.

Great food, a superb experience. Frankly this was one of the best college bar experiences in the area. I cannot understate how great the appetizers tasted, and the atmosphere was full of really good vibes. One of my new favorites, I guarantee you that I'll be visiting here again in the future.

Super good New York style pizza - there’s a bit of a language barrier with some staff but they are really friendly. The house on the page don’t reflect their actual hours tho - they didn’t open until 2pm today even though it said 11. Highly recommend a simple slice of cheese pizza!

Everything about Sal’s on Fifth is adequate. They’re open until 3:30 so you can get food well after bar close. Keep in mind this will give you a bar close clientele at that hour. The pizza is decent with no frills and a solid taste. The space is fairly clean. The biggest selling point on Sal’s is that it is easy. It’s right by the light rail. It’s right down town. The lines move fast.
