Reviews of Peking Garden

The service was great. The food was decent. I feel like the food just doesn't taste the same as I remember it from its old location. It just did not have the "wow" factor. The hotpot dish was a little disappointing. It did not taste as good as it looked. The other dishes were fine. Overall I may or may not come back to this place. I definitely like Rose garden more. Overall, great customer service and decent food.

I've eaten here a few times with friends and overall it tastes pretty good.
Peking duck (3 taste) and salt and pepper frog are highly recommended. Bean curd sauce has a very bland taste and is not recommended. Sliced pork with preserved vegetables is not recommended, the meat is a bit dry but the vegetables are ok. Two ways to fry pork intestines are worth trying

I went on a week night with my girlfriends. And this place surprised me in a good way. It just looks like a boxed place from outside but when you enter you are greeted with water fountains and pond. one has to walk over a tiny bridge to come to the seating hall. This place , even bathrooms, were so darn clean. Food was good and portions size was huge. Many asians came with huge groups here. Weekends are crazy busy to try hitting this place on a weeknight to get a good parking. There spice level is very low. A great place for sea food lovers.

The first thing I dug n2 was the shrimp toast! Yumm! Their fried rice is tasty, the beef noodles were ok, could use more taste to em 4my liking. The curry was excellent, so were the green beans. The wings were good but I will try the salt n pepper ones next time. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is beautiful!

Reasonable price, comfortable seating, clean, service was good. Water and tea were offer once we sat down, not much of wait for our food. Lobster w/ E Mien was perfectly cooked and flavorful. crispy in the outside and soft in the inside sweet and sour pork ribs was on point. steamed stuffed Tofu was ok. The fresh meatballs tasted a little off with cilantro or parsley herbs. Unless you like the herbs. Green beans was good not greasy. Sour vegetables with beef sticks to its name. MungBean dessert was offer after our lunch. Overall the flavors were light. Can’t wait to try other items on their menu.

I lived in China for 5 years and travelled to more than 30 different cities within China during that time. This is the best most authentic Chinese food I’ve ever had outside of China. I ordered the roast duck and roast pork plate and it was above average even by the standards I would have had in China. I am so happy to find this restaurant right in St. Paul and can promise I will be here frequently.
When looking at the menu, it does seem that they have options that appeal to people looking for Americanized Chinese cuisine but if you come in knowing what to look for you can have a very authentic experience.

This is a quality establishment. Stopped in as we were walking by at 11pm on a Saturday; it caught our eye because it was bustling even so late at night. We were not disappointed; the food, the atmosphere, and the service were exceptional, exceeding all expectations. In fact, I’d say this is a true gem. The combination of the plentiful menu, reasonable prices, and attention to quality really left an impression. I can’t to be back.
Okay, let’s start with the food. I really can’t complain about anything we got. The sesame chicken wings were delicious; the wings and legs they used were of great quality, tender, meaty, and juicy—not the cheap stuff. They were also prepared very well: fresh, hot, crispy, and saucy. The hot and sour soup was hearty, bold and hit the spot as an appetizer. The teriyaki chicken skewers we’re just the right amount of sweet and a bit charred and crispy the way I like, not rubbery like it is at some other places. The double cooked pork was very flavorful and came in a hearty portion which made great leftovers. The baby bok choy and garlic sauce was also delicious and fresh; I highly recommend it as a pairing to any meat dish you get.
The restaurant environment itself is very spacious, clean, bright, and well-maintained. there is an indoor koi pond right as you walk in and intricate decorations that really add to the experience. We were very glad we stopped in and left feeling very happy.
The staff and overall service were notably friendly, attentive, helpful, and fast. I have no complaints; they do a great job taking care of the guest. I felt welcome and taken care of. This place is very well managed and it shows. I can’t wait to be back to try more of their menu. And it is absolutely amazing that they’re open late; we need more places like this.

Great experience. Awesome employees. Food arrived on a timely manner. Food quality is actually really good! It's one of the better Chinese restaurants in the twin cities. I would highly suggest coming here, especially if you have a big group. The tables are spaced out fairly well. The bathrooms are pretty clean. Parking is tight during busy hours, so expect the parking lot to be pretty packed. Come early to get good parking spots and to miss the huge rush hour (lunch and dinner).

Got the family of 6 meal. Got food decently fast even though it was dinner time busy. Good food and good service!
