My spouse and I lunched here during restaurant week and the food, drinks, and service were excellent! It's a unique location as it's located inside an old Victorian house. We were seated in what was likely once a livingroom, in front of a big picture window overlooking the columned front porch and patio dining. The music selection added to the vibe and it was an all around charming spot. I'd dine here again.

The tacos de lengua were excellent! The chips and salsa were also very good! We sampled a new ground beef taco with carrots and potatoes. It was incredible! Hope to see it on the menu. Will definitely be back here again when in town! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I live within a small walk from Nico's. If I was granted a hypothetical question, "if you could replace any other restaurant in the Cities to replace Nico's in proximity to where you live, which would it be?" I wouldn't exchange Nico's with any other restaurant! They have great margaritas, authentic tacos, FANTASTIC salsa options, and have begun making to-go platters that are perfect for large groups!

A solid 5 star. Great customer service - everyone was so friendly at Nico’s Taco & Tequila Bar! Tacos were so yummy. The Chipotle Cameron Tacos were amazing and so were the flautas.

Omg !!! The drinks and food were sexy as can be, wow !!! The steak casidilla was INCREDIBLE and I have absolutely no idea where to start. Horchata was the best I’ve had. That’s saying a lot ! The guacamole was fantastic and so was the queso dip. I had the lamb Biritas and all I can say is WOW !!!

This is our second time here. The food is Excellent; and as authentic as it comes. I’ve stayed with families in Mexico and it takes me back. Drinks are made from fresh ingredients and are beautiful. Chicken tings made from actual chipotle peppers, spicy as hell… I’m here for it. Salsa best I’ve ever had, made from puréed ingredients and peppers. Tortillas, Torta, etc made fresh. Best Mexican Restaurant in the state hands down, maybe everywhere.

Amazing food and service. Came here for a friend's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. The wall of tequila is a sight to see. There are dozens of varieties of tacos including my favorite... Calimari!

I had the ceviche tostada with tomatoes on the side because don’t like them on my food but I enjoy eating em on the side. Anyways lol the ceviche was very taste and the house extra spicy salsa/chile was delicious! I appreciate that they have thinga because it’s my favorite chicken! The sopes were good! I went for the cucumber margarita and it was okay but the food was really good! Definitely try it for yourself

Amazing food and drinks. had the carnitas nachos (pictured), birria tacos, strawberry basil margarita, and cucumber margarita. Carnita meat and birria tacos were exceptionally excellent. Our server Sam was attentive and courteous. Definitely coming back

Service was fast, nachos and street corn “Elote” came and medium salsa had some heat but flavor was amazing. Got the chicken Burrito and chicken was tender moist and had great flavor. Can’t wait to come back and try the taco next, also to try the drink menu.

I can’t believe I took so long to try this place. I’ve been there twice in the past week. On My first visit I took my son. He loved it. I went back tonight with my mother. I am pretty sure it’s her new favorite restaurant. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is awesome. I love all of the Freida Kahlo photos and day of the dead art.

We went there as a large group. We had the private dining room. Service was good. Drinks were different and creative. The food is also good. We tried couple of different tacos. Hot salsas were great. I also liked shrimp ceviche.

A friend and I popped into Nico’s on a whim for Sunday lunch and lovedddd it. It was pretty quiet upon our arrival so I’m sure that partially played into the great service we received. We started off with some chips and salsa, the salsa was so yummy and the chips were nice and fresh. We each ordered two tacos each; the pastor, mushroom, and two of the shrimp tacos…oh my gosh, so delicious!! All of them! Tasty flavor profiles, fresh ingredients and just the right size of food. We topped the meal off with the churros recommended by our server which were hot and crunchy the chocolate magic sauce really completed the dish. I’m already dreaming of eating here again!

Rock-solid street tacos. Done the authentic way with just cilantro onion and lime. Nice vibe and friendly staff. Carnitas was great, flavorful and not too fatty. Chorizo was fine but really more of a breakfast taco- potatoes, eggs, and maybe cheese? Tortillas were good but there was so much meat that the tacos really should have been double wrapped, they were downright difficult to eat. Tortilla chips were good but not especially memorable, and I liked that they were included with our meal. If in the mood for tacos in the area, I would go here.

Went for taco Tuesday, but prefer going somewhere else. Feel as though the tacos were a little pricey although they had some good ones to try on the menu. Not sure if I would go again but they do have quite a few interesting margaritas to try but also pricey. They have upstairs, downstairs and seating outside.

Love Nicos! The food is always fresh and flavorful with excellent service. We especially love sitting out on the patio during the warmer months and enjoy the queso and strawberry basil margaritas along with any taco. It is always easy to find nearby street parking and they are always kind and welcoming to our pup taging along.

$11-14 for margs but whatever. I really like this place. Service on the patio can be slow if it's busy. They only have one bar to make drinks for the whole reasturant and it's on the 2nd floor. The food and drinks are much better than something like Barrio.

Sat outside and enjoyed a couple of tacos and horchata :) the tacos were a little spicy which I like, but could be made less spicy if I had wanted. The horchata was absolutely delicious - planning on coming back soon for that and to try something else on the menu!

I came here with a friend, we had to wait a little bit to be seated, once we were seated the service was phenomenal!! Our server was friendly and the food was great! I’d recommend the street tacos, chips and queso, and the Paloma!

Let's be clear this review only reflect the food, when I go to a restaurant it is 80% for the food. And I don't know if my taste but don't agree with mexican flavors but the dishes where underwhelming and all tasted more or less the same, may be we ordered the wrong ones?? The place is nice and the inside decorated with taste according to the mexican theme service was fine.

I don't have any complaints. I got an elote, guac and chips and a steak quesadilla and all of it was delicious. The energy was good & the atmosphere felt very home like. We had AJ for a server and he was AMAZING!! Oh & they have the best horchata I've ever had.

They have this fried calamari taco which is the combination of what everyone likes: a taco and fried calamari. The owner is a very approachable guy, the food is delicious and the service is friendly. Definitely a place to go with your family for a nice family dinner or to go alone and drink.

The food was very good and the drinks were quite strong but also very good. We did have a few dishes and drinks that didn’t make their way to our table until we reminded our waiter about 30min after everyone else had gotten their food/drinks. We also initially got charged full price for some happy hour items. We asked about happy hour prices and our waiter said he would go change it in their system. About 26 minutes later we still hadn’t heard from our waiter so we just left cash on the table and left. Good food and drinks but… We had to wait around 40 minutes for our waiter just to get through the whole process of paying for food after we were done eating.

Loved sitting upstairs on the balcony. Excellent margaritas. The food was great and excellently prepared. Only downside is that it felt like there were less vegetarian options than most taco bars or Mexican restaurants. Staff was wonderful and very helpful with ingredients.

Went once for happy hour, seated on the balcony upstairs, and got to witness a thunderstorm while still being protected from the elements, it was quite cozy. Nico's has street tacos, but they are a bit pricier than other neighborhood places, and a bit smaller. I have found that Lagos Tacos has since become my go-to happy hour spot.

My friends and I went into Nico's for their happy hour Monday night for the first time. We absolutely loved it! Fantastic margaritas (They don't use those fake syrups from the bottles) plus good tequila. We also loved the upstairs patio space. My friends enjoyed their burritos/enchiladas while I had a side of Elote with a raspberry margarita. We also had the cucumber margarita (which was very tasty) and a churro for desert. The wait staff was very friendly and checked on us frequently, and the manager even came around to help clear tables and talk to customers. Great management and a great space. Excited to go back for their night time happy hour (1/2 off food and margaritas).

Salsa was forgotten with my burrito ordered online, and was only given four rough slices of raw jalapeno as a replacement for the pickled jalapenos I ordered, but was told were 86'd upon pickup. Food is good, but this wasn't my best experience with this establishment.

Went during happy hour, and was glad to have my pup allowed inside. The downside was that happy hour was only available inside, and it was a gorgeous night! Thankfully half off margaritas and tacos made up for sitting inside. Of the margaritas 3 I had, the one not recommended was indeed my favorite. It had avocado in it, and was amazing! I would return for that one for sure!

Very quirky little place. When entering the restaurant, I wasn't sure if I had entered someone's home instead. However, the restaurant was very quaint and cozy. The taco selection was great. Never have I ever thought about eating a scallop taco or beef tongue taco...just to name a few selections. Will definitely go again!

Great place for tacos! Their tacos have a unique flair to them and are just great! Depending on how busy they are service can take a bit. We've been in and out in about thirty to forty five minutes or as long as two hours. Any time my husband and I are in Minneapolis, we always have to go to nico's tacos!

I am sorry that the previous reviewer had a bad night at Nico’s. I was part of that large group and wanted to give more info. I am part of a group that goes out on Thursday nights in the Uptown area. We have been going to Nico’s for 5-6 years now on a monthly or so basis. We have gotten to know Alex by being loyal customers. Due to being such loyal customers, Alex invited us Thursday night for a free beer and chips, salsa and guac from 8-9. That night many of us brought our wives and now it is not infrequent that our families also eat at Nico’s on a regular basis. I think he expected 10 folks Thursday but more than 25 people showed up and congregated in two large groups. I am sorry we inconvenienced the other customers in between us. Personally, I like to frequent restaurants where the owner takes the time to get to know the customers and rewards loyal customers with a free drink and an appetizer every once in a while. Check out the bar renovation - it is very nice. Food is great. Salsa, guac and margarita's are the best in town.

I have been here a few times before, but they have a Saturday late night HH that is good! All margaritas, apps and tacos are half off. Veggie tacos are stacked high and only $2 (in photo below, on the left). Barbacoa tacos $3. Shrimp tacos are WONDERFUL and $3 (in photo below on the right). They even have a scallop and shrimp taco for $4. The shrimp tacos had just the right amount of spice, too. My tacos do not have cheese, but cotija is available! The margaritas? Strong, honey!! I had the green way, which is basil, avocado and peach. Yummy! I also had the Nico's Pepino margarita, which was good. They were both only $4! Yes, you get your money worth. Lol Oh! Pico de gallo with chips was only about $2.50, too. They do not short the servings, either. The downside? It is cold in the place. We never took our coats off, even after moving to a table partially behind the wall. This was the only bad part. Our server was such a sweetheart, too. She gave great recommendations! Had it not been for her, I would not have learned that I like cactus tacos or an avocado margarita. Really? Who would've thought? Lol If you're looking for fun, where you won't be shushed, this is the spot. The HH is 9-11:00, but it leaves you plenty of time to hit Uptown, a movie or go home and relax. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Their tacos are sublime, but I personally love their enchiladas. The margs are top notch and they have a HUGE variety!

It's good food. Usually get the enchiladas because it comes with rice and beans, and it's classic with warm flavors. Only just earlier today I ordered pick up for dinner and didn't receive rice nor beans. Also asked no cabbage on enchiladas and still was there. Just a bit odd to mess up a simple order. I’m a big supporter of Mom & Pop businesses, and Nico’s is a perfect example of a well-run family restaurant. From the salsas and tacos to the wonderful margaritas, it’s a great dining experience. The staff is friendly and competent, and the setting and music are added bonuses. I’ve only recently discovered Nico’s and look forward to another visit soon.

Everything at Nico’s Tacos is outrageously good. Their quesadillas are made with this incredible Oaxacan cheese and they’re so amazing that I kind of don’t want to eat anything besides these quesadillas ever for the rest of my life. Astonishingly good guacamole and really tasty drinks. Very high-quality horchata. God, I love this place.

Tacos were good. Only critique besides how very expensive they are is that they only use one tortilla on each taco. For the price, there's no reason there aren't two, like every other authentic taco place (that charges minimally a dollar less per taco). Nice staff.

Wide variety of superb street tacos. From seafood to cow tongue, the selection could provide something for everyone. The service was nothing short of perfect. My favorite taco, the Chipotle Cameron, was recommended to me by the waitress. She answered all my questions with ease and made the ordering process simple. The atmosphere was cozy, taking place in a small house and all of my tacos had a unique and exquisite taste. I’m definitely eager to return and try more.

This is a cool place with all sorts of different seating areas and awesome, fun staff. Happy hour deals are great, since it's a bit expensive otherwise. Their traditional margaritas were solid. The masa chips are wonderful either in the nachos or with queso.

This rating is for food and drinks. I prefer Nico’s tacos for the drinks and not the food. The food is good but not as authentic. My personal opinion is that the food is Mexican American fusion. The salsas however are superb - very spicy and flavorful. The tres Leches is also very moist, authentic. The tacos are alright, the tortillas appear to not be hand made and the meat is not Mexican (processed different than US) so I understand this prevents them tasting fully authentic. Also I don’t know if the chiefs are Mexican or American or what recipes they fallow. Mexican food varies regionally so I am biased due to this. The drinks are always delicious, great Palomas - not too sweet. I really appreciate the tequila bible - it helps me pick tequila from my home state and also try from other states. However for authentic Mexican food, I rather go to Lake Street.

Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! It was like being in someone's house and they had such yummy cocktails as well. I highly recommend the scallop and mushroom tacos. The Herb margarita was delicious and sweeter than I thought it would be, but in a good way. Service was wonderful as well! I went here on a Friday evening so it was a little noisy, but still a great atmosphere.

Nicos is a fun Mexican restaurant. I frequent there often and always get great service. The manager is great! I recently had an order that someone else took. They remade my order amazingly fast and provided extra food. They try to go above and beyond which I appreciate!

Lovely food and even better food. Our server Sam was a delight to work with. He gave us excellent recommendations on the food and was very pleasant overall. We had their chips and salsa, ceviche tostada and chicken quesadillas. The quesadilla was super cheesy and yummy. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Food was great! Guac and Queso dip were good. We tried Chicken Enchiladas. Barbacoa, Pastor and Carnitas tacos. Pastor was the favorite of all the flavors we tried. Orange Daisy margarita was awesome! It was a nice relaxing meal. Was a little busier than I expected at 1:30pm. But we made reservations, since everything has been busy with covid restrictions beginning to loosen up. I would definitely suggest going on a nice day and enjoy their patio with a margarita.

I love Nico's for so many reasons! It's got a good location and even has a tiny, hidden parking lot. There's a good amount of outdoor seating, plus tables on the porch and second floor balcony--perfect for hot, sunny days. There's also a community room that can be used for free. Now to the important stuff! The margaritas are good quality and worth the price. They always have unique seasonal flavors too. The food is amazing and has large portion sizes. Best of all, they have great happy hour deals! The only downside? No reservations.

The drink menu was great but the food menu was mediocre compared to other Mexican restaurants has more of a American touch to the food same with the portion quite pricy for how much you get. I ordered a steak torta usually there a lot thick at other places but it was only so much I still felt hungry after I ate it bread was kind crunchy as if it was left in Microwave too long or over cooked. If you come here eat before hand the drinks are legit though !

I've been here many times, and I'll no doubt be back again. I've never had a bad meal here, but the service quality is very hit or miss. It doesn't seem to matter what time of day or how busy they are, so I can't point to an explanation. The food is good, and the prices are reasonable so it's still nice if you're looking to try something new, but I wouldn't go here if you're in a hurry because of this. It could be a little longer service time. That said, if you go, they have a huge selection of tequila in the upstairs bar so you won't go thirsty!

We came during a really cold night (-40 degrees F) for the late night happy hour. The owner was working and was extremely helpful in explaining the different varieties of margaritas available. Everything was made fresh with in-house infusing etc. It was helpful to get suggestions on which drinks could be a good fit. The tacos were also half price during happy hour and were a great size as a late night bite. The place is cute and it wasn’t busy but I’m sure that’s due to the weather.

Nico's Taco Bar has a Mexican feel to it. It's a really cool environment and kind of cozy. It has an antique feel as well. I got fancy upscale vibes at Nico's taco & tequila bar. It is a very popular bar and restaurant in uptown and definitely worth going to. You have to get the tacos. They're expensive but they're the best tacos in the world. You build your own taco. you have a variety of options including vegetarian, fish, beef, etc and you can add different toppings to your tacos. They are small but so delicious and fresh. The servers are always dressed fancy. I ordered a tea last time I was there and it came in an oval shaped artistic mug. You can make reservations here. This place is really popular in the summer is because people like to sit out on the porch and eat. 6 p.m. is a very busy time so be aware.

Very fun decor. Service was good, but we waited several minutes before someone came and seated us. We ordered alcoholic drinks, both were very good. We had a Beef Enchilada and the Heuvos Rancheros. The Enchilada was good and had lots of flavor. The Heuvos Rancheros was ok and had a great mix of meat and veggies but it was soaked with grease and had little to no seasoning. I have had some good experiences here. They have a fabulous “tequila bible” if you want to do a little bit of tasting. Their excellent tequila lends itself to excellent margaritas and mixed drinks. They have some tasty options. The tacos are also excellent. My only issue is it is out of my price range.

We were visiting Minneapolis on a weekend excursion as we are originally from Chicago. We found Nico's on Google and after reading its reviews we decided to give it a shot. Upon entering we didn't feel that welcomed by the host that seated us. After sitting for a few minutes the bartender decided to take our orders since our waiter never returned. The bartender was awesome. He was friendly and attentive. The tacos we ordered (4 different styles) were amazing. We deducted a star because the place could have been a little cleaner (sticky and glass on the floor) and our bill was incorrect (but was corrected when brought to their attention). Two days later we are in South Dakota still thinking of those great tacos :-)

Really positive experience there. We walked in with no reservation for a six-top table early dinner table (bad, I know). The staff were very kind and found two tables next to each other where we could sit. They were really busy, so service was a little slow, but our waitstaff was always friendly, remembered our orders really well, and made sure to check in with us regularly. As for the food, I LOVED my tacos. And the drinks were really nice. Balanced margs, good tequila, etc. I've already told friends we need to go back, and I want a chance to sit on their rooftop patio.

They're just bland and without flavor: chunked, poorly-marinated pork doesn't really work. Opt for the Chicken Tinga. They're good. That's all.

My wife and my favorite restaurant in the cities. The margaritas are on another level, and their selection of tacos and salsas always hit the spot. They have an amazing happy hour deal where everything is 50% off so it becomes really cheap . The tacos are really good and they have a large selection of margaritas. I cant remember the happy hour times but it goes until close which I think is 11pm. Probably starts around 5pm but I really don't know for certain. Otherwise its just a little bit cramped.

I went for lunch with my mom in the middle of the week. It was during restaurant week, so they had a limited menu. As for COVID guidelines, they followed all the regular, social distancing, staff wearing masks and gloves, require guests to wear masks, hand sanitizer, enhanced cleaning, etc. It was pretty slow as our lunch was at 1:30. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves. We got a variety of dishes, all of which were featuring a new corn tortilla which was pretty fluffy and bread-like. Everything they did with it seemed to have not enough topping/filling. The chicken was a little rubbery, not a ton of flavor in the carne asada. The best part of the meal was the cocktail, a sage and rosemary infused tequila mixed with pomegranate and lime margarita. Very pretty and nicely balanced.

(Como) I’d say I’m pretty underwhelmed by this place. Our first visit we had pretty attentive service and our second visit the waiter waited until offering us to-go boxes to refill our water. Maybe I’ve been spoiled elsewhere by free chips and salsa, but the salsa flight plus guac or queso will add up $ quickly. The salsas I’ve tried have been rather thin and one note flavor-wise... kind of a bummer for someone who really loves salsa. I’m not sure what cooking oil is used in the kitchen but it’s heavy - I’ve had vegetarian dishes both times and they are completely bogged down by the oil/butter to the point where they all taste the same — mushy, bland, unremarkable. The mushroom taco had some kick, but it was also just oozing with grease. My husband has been fairly satisfied by his dishes but remarked that if we go again he’ll probably stick to the shrimp or seafood dishes.

Delicious taco and margarita spot with a great outdoor patio area. Get there after 9pm for half off tacos and margaritas; very worth it. I really enjoy the spicy marg (forget what it's actually called) for a perfect combo of sweet and spice. As tacos go, I got the calamari, chorizo, chicken, and carnitas. Calamari was super good and the rest were average tasty. However, my wife got the steak tacos and said they were pretty dry. Service was above average; our server was a little soft spoken and tough to hear at times, but overall nice and accommodating. Will def go again.

He kind of set them on the table and we had to figure out which was which. Prices were also higher than the food or drink quality would deserve. Love Nico's tacos it is located inside of an old house that has been transformed into being a restaurant. Great views from the second floor and in the summer you are able to eat on their Upper Deck, though tiny it provides a nice view of the street below. Their tacos are pretty amazing. I suggest the carnitas tacos, beef tongue tacos (lengua de res), so tender!! (Only once it wasn't as tender) I haven't had the pleasure of trying their meals cause how can anyone pass up street tacos?!?!! Pozole (soup) was pretty decent. I wish they had gluten free, dairy free & egg free options for dessert, but we can't always win! HIGHLY recommend this stop!!

We’ve been to Nico’s a few times. The menu is always interesting and not what you would find in most Mexican restaurants around here. I think most of their items are “hits” rather than “misses”. Lighting is very low so you might want to review the menu online before you go. The environment is cool because it’s a former single family house right on Hennepin Avenue. In the summer, you’ll see many folks dining out on the porch. Margaritas and other drinks are generally quite good. Don’t let the prices fool you. You can easily add on a bunch of small items and get to a pretty expensive bill.

Amazing food! Their Sunday brunch offers chilaquiles which is served with steak pieces (I don't know what they are marinated in but they're so juicy and tender), eggs, black beans, and rice- literally to die for! It is offered in mild, medium, or hot so it is perfect for anyone! Definitely my go to! I've also had their taquitos where you can choose your choice of meat (plenty of options) and they were amazing. I've gone a few times with friends and family and no one has every had a complaint- tacos are great, sopes are great! Overall welcoming atmosphere and great staff! YES! I drove past Nico's many times, and was immediately enticed by the words "taco" and "tequila." In the last two months or so, my dude and I have been to Nico's five times. No doubt we will be continued patrons of this awesome restaurant for date nights and meetups with friends and family. When you come here, get the traditional guacamole and a flight of salsas. You can't go wrong with any of the salsas, but my favorites are the super spicy arbol and the smooth pumpkin ones. My dude, a taco fiend, has loved all the ones he's tried, and he has deemed the barbacoa the best in the Twin Cities. Me, as a vegan, I have to recommend the burrito with veggie fillings (hold the cheese and cream, obviously). Legit the best, most filling vegan burrito you will find out here. And of course there are the margaritas. You can't go wrong with any of the variety offered. Atmosphere is great. The patio and upstairs patio are great for people watching along Hennepin. Service has been outstanding with each visit. SO GOOD!!

Went with a group of friends around 2:30pm on Saturday. Based on reviews, I was expecting poor service and mediocre overpriced food... I was pleasantly surprised with friendly and quick service! I tried the Bistek Asado enchilada platter since paying $4.50 per taco seemed absurd. The portion given was satisfactory, the red enchilada sauce tasted more like marinara sauce, the rice and beans were different than what you would expect but they were ok. We all shared chips and queso as well, so the bill for my boyfriend and I ended up to be $47 for lunch... yikes! I’d like to visit and have a drink here outside when it’s warmer.

Have to remember to order tacos with flour shells or they'll use the corn ones that rip. The shells are small, but they fill them nice and full. $3.50 for a small pop is a bit high (even if it's the Mexican version). Service is fast. Can often be hard to hear even if there aren't many people dining.

We were given our salad without dressing, then when we got it it was way too spicy and made the salad inedible. A real taco bar finally comes to my neighborhood! Yeah, it's a little bit of an anomaly begin in a house, and all, but I think that is what gives it such charm. The tacos are authentic, spicy, and incredibly flavorful. On my most recent visit I had the chicken tamales and they were so good I had to take some to go! The ceviche is refreshing and light, and the pozole a perfect fix for cold winter days. I will keep Nico's on my list of monthly (or weekly) "go to" restaurants to get my fix of great Mexican.

The food and drinks were amazing and I would definitely go back for it! However, The server Eric was a great big tool! He is not customer service oriented at all! He was rude when we walked in, we could hear him swearing behind the counter, and then proceeded to spill a glass of someone else's water on the floor that shot all over my mother's back! He didn't bother to apologize, nor did he clean it up. Let me know when he's gone and I'll be back. The purple-haired server that brought our drinks was awesome! She should get a raise!

Nico's has a nice variety of tacos and margaritas ( I would highly recommend the beef tongue). They also have a good selection of appetizers. Happy hour special is worth the trip.

My experiences are always hit or miss. Sometimes the wait staff is just awful and other times they are above and beyond!! I do dislike that their entire menu is fairly ala carte, the bill always ends up being more than you expect. The sleeper hit here is their cocktails, I recommend the pomegranate Marg!

Tacos, tequila and tomales! You can't beat the happy hour margaritas here, made with the real deal. Pollo de tinga tacos are a delicious and I have to say the tomales are AMAZING—spicy, no Minnesota blandness here. Mini churros? Yes please. I'll admit, I've never sat downstairs, so I'm not sure of the dining experience or waitstaff capabilities since I always sit at the bar where it's always been a pleasurable experience—honestly probably the best cocktails at the best price. I haven't had a better cocktail, and the only place in neighborhood I've seen rival the drinks at Nico's is much more expensive. Check this happy hour out, for real. And if you find yourself hanging around past happy hour, order any cocktail and you will be pleased.

Was part of the aforementioned goup that had to wait 40 mins just to not be seated. Woild still give them a good rating becausr that was the only issue ive had, and it seemed to be a fluke. All other times, the service was wonderful, the food was outstanding, and the wait times were reasonable. Definitely some of the best tacos in town.

Fan-flippin-tastic! You want to eat the Mexican street come to Nico's...Seriouslythe guacomole is out of this world, and you can NOT stop at one margarita here. The craftiness of these little devils is second to none. The meats are so perfectly seasoned, (the barbacoa and the pastor take the prize), the servers are always helpful and can answer any menu question there is! My little tip, sit upstairs at the bar for a more happening, inviting atmosphere :) And don't forget while are there...you're in a house!!!
