Surprisingly good! They have some fun pizza toppings. I tried their mac and cheese pizza and gyro pizza (that's what the guy working there recommended to me). Both were delicious. I really like the crust here. Wish they gave a side of marinara with every order, but still good. Service was quick. They only take a few minutes to warm up your pizza. Also didn't have to pay tax here - not sure if its just included in the price. Interior is interesting. Paper plate art was a nice touch. They have some really weird music playing inside though.

Second time here and I can definitely say that I am a HUGE fan. Both experiences were really good. I order the gyro pizza the first time and it tasted sooooo delicious. I just came back today because I was craving pizza and ordered the spinach feta pizza with tomatoes and it was incredible! The pizza was hot and the wait time was very minimal. I would definitely return!! They have a wide selection of pizza. All speciality for what I saw which is nice to try something different. The only con is the person serving pizza wasn’t wearing gloves when he grabbed the pizza. I don’t care too much because you encounter germs wherever you go but I definitely think if you’re handling food, you should wear gloves or sanitize prior to touching the slice with your hands.

I LOVE MESA PIZZA!!!!!! I've been frequenting the Dinkytown location off and on for over ten years but this was my first visit to the Uptown location. I know Mesa has unique but delicious pizza so we decided to stop in for dinner. Matt, the one man show, did an awesome job of naming the different pizzas whenever someone asked about them but also holding a conversation with each person who came through the line all while warming the slices and ringing people up. The restaurant was immaculately clean and the paper plate artwork on the wall was super fun and a good conversation piece for my friend and i. I ordered my usual: one slice of barbecue steak and fries pizza and one slice of Mac n cheese pizza - both cut in half (the slices are HUGE!), a soda, and a couple of cookies. Everything was absolutely delicious and I'd definitely visit again.

Great pizza slices! Plenty of wonderful options (vegetarian, meat, standard pepperoni, sausage, cheese, etc) to choose from. I went with my kids who can be finicky but they each really enjoyed their slices. A diverse and eclectic group of other customers, along with the engaging and experienced staff behind the counter, make this a fun place to take a slice to go.

Ordered delivery through door dash while I was staying in a hotel and it was SO GOOD! Delivery only took about 40 minutes from the time I ordered it to the time it got delivered and it was still nice and hot when I got it. I ordered the Gyro Pizza, the crust was *chefs kiss* and all of the ingredients tasted fresh and incredible together! Will order again when I’m back in town!

This is my first time which I think it’s pretty reasonable pizza place for late night or snacks! They got a lot of choices even some creative one. The one I ordered was buffalo chicken flavors slice, it was crispy after heated and really spicy and I loved it! Definitely a nice try!

Best Slice in Minnesota. Just stopped in for a couple slices (one of pepperoni and salami and one of BBQ bacon chicken) on lunch today and I was floored. The selection is awesome, and the pizza itself is amazing. I can't believe I've lived 2 blocks away from this gem for 2 years and this is my first time giving it a try. I will DEFINITELY be a regular from now on.

Amazing staff, always attentive, fair/respectful and personable. The pizza is also lit! If you don't like the slices that they have on hand at the time just order one in advance via phone from their online menu. It might seem expensive for a large specialty pizza compared to Domino's or whatever but you can do half and half and the pizzas are GIGANTIC like wow! Plus the toppings they have are unique and seriously every pizza I've gotten there I like. They have meat and non- meat/vegan options for you when you choose to buy a whole pizza otherwise they still serve what's on that menu but what's out in the display is the options you have if you were just to walk in. Prices are fair cuz the slices are huge. They support local artists and all the staff are great. They care about people and do their work in a timely manner. This is definitely a staple for me whenever I'm living in the uptown area. P.s. they have delivery now which is tight!

I discovered this place late one night when I was offered a slice from someone. It was fresh,hot, and absolutely delicious. So I had to check it out for myself sometime, which I did. I've been back many times now with others and solo and have never been disappointed. The pizza is fantastic, so many yummy choices. The place is super clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's no place around like Mesa Pizza!

The vibe in uptown is weird with so many closed businesses right now, but Mesa pizza continues to deliver the cool quirkiness you used to expect in the area. My gyro pizza and mac and cheese slice were delicious and service is great. Note that seating is limited and bathrooms aren't accessible, so plan accordingly.

I was on my way to pick up a family member a little while ago, when I saw this place for a good dinner option. It had been a long time since I had been here, and forgot how friendly people who work here are, and how good the food is. I ordered several different slices, but my favorite was the mac and cheese pizza. Of course it took like 10 minutes not only to order, but wait for them to warm up my slices in the oven. The wait was definitely worth it, since they the pizzas are not only made in house, but flavorful as well. Just one slice fills me up, since they are just so big. Next time I am in the neighborhood it would be beneficial to stop, as I could get like 2 slices for $6. Or maybe I might get some breadsticks and pasta instead.

No idea why people have issues with service. Not sure what you did to deserve it! We always have excellent service. In fact we drive nearly an hour to get their pizza! Thai steak is my favorite. They always make sure we are set with spice level and have even made a special batch of the toppings when we were sharing with a novice spice friend. They are a staple to the community and well worth the price. You are not just getting a cheap slice of little caesars. You're getting hand made heaven. So creative in their slice Options. Will ALWAYS make the drive for Mesa!

Love their pizza, Buffalo chicken is awesome with ton of flavor. Also, most of the places when you ask no meat pizza, they only have cheese, well no worries at this place. Order southwest, tomato basil etc..at least all pizza has different flavors, not like other pizza chain where all flavors are same.

Always walked and drove by but I was in the area and decided to stop in. All around wonderful experience. Plenty of variety, super cheerful human serving everything up and was more than happy to tell me about the multitude of varieties. I had a slice of Pepporoni and a slice of FTBM (or was it FTMB) and they were both top notch. Will definitely be back again!

Possibly the best pizza I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Each flavor is creative and intricate. The crust is thin and light. The portions are perfect and the staff is fun and super helpful. Mesa Pizza is definitely worth a visit.

We heard about this pizza joint from some friends this past weekend and had to check it out. The first thing you notice is how many different pizzas they have. A LOT! The next problem we had was, which pizza to order? We ended up ordering 4 different kinds in slices. That's the genious of this place... Any pizza you want can be purchased in slice or whole-pie form. If they don't have that particular pizza up and ready, they'll make it fresh for you in about 15-20 minutes. All of us loved their pizza and will mos def be back.

Pizza wasn't bad, but I liked Pizza Luce significantly better and rated it 4 stars, so I had to take one off here. The pepperoni slice I had was soooooo saucy. I had to squeegee extra sauce onto the plate. I was able to mop up the sauce with the crust, which is plentiful and tasty. Contributing to the lost star is also the slow service. This might have been a fluke, as a very large family who seemed to speak English poorly came in right after my friend and I had ordered. IMHO however, the pizza professional should have checked us out first, considering our orders were simple and quit. Instead, they elected to take the order of every single one of the family members who came after us, while we sat there with our wallets out for many minutes. Again, maybe just a fluke, but the actual pizza was better at Luce.

Good food with creative pizza toppings. I'm a fan of the macaroni pizza! (Weird but delicious) The place is no-frills, so don't expect much besides slices of pizza. They don't make a ton of pizza ahead of time, so what they have when you walk in is what you can pick. My only negative experience here was seeing a highly disrespectful fight between the two employees working at the time. Nothing was directed at the customers, but it was far from what I usually want while I'm eating dinner.

Best pizza in twin cities area. They have a huge varieties of pizza and you can order by slice. We really like the southwest black bean here. This place is open very late and very helpful when you are hungry late in the night. They are in a prime location right opposite to Calhoun Square..

Unique, good tasting and varied pizza by the slice or whole. Atmosphere is usually cool with chill workers. Price is decent, certainly not the cheapest but worth it at those late hours (2:45AM on the weekends).

This place is a gem! We had macaroni pizza, spicy chicken nacho pizza, mushroom spinach pesto pizza, and fried onion pulled pork barbecue pizza and loved all of them! The prices are outstanding at $4.10 a slice and the slices are big! So great!!! Would recommend!

Love the variety they have, great flavor of sauce and cheese. Crust is good just wish it was a little Crispier. Very friendly and helpful staff who are willing to suggest slices. I suggest you try either the bbq pork slice or the lamb gyro slice both are phenomenal.

The fresh cookies are amazing. I've not been at night, but during the day Mesa is relaxed and has great music- excellent place for lunch or an afternoon snack.

A small little pizza place with huge pizzas/slices. Every single pizza is unique in someway and might have you asking; how did they come up with this? Everything I've had has been delicious, including the southwest sauce to dip your pizza in. Definitely give it a try if you've never had it because I guarantee you haven't had pizza recipes quite like this! They have two shops in Minneapolis one in Uptown & the other in Dinkytown.

I am a student at the U of M and had this pizza given to me at an event. Their chicken pesto pizza and macaroni and cheese pizza are delicious. They also had a vegan option which was tasty. Delivery was prompt and the employees were very kind. Their pepperoni pizza, hawaiian pizza, cheese pizza and spinach feta pizza were also served.

The choices available were great and I almost couldn't decide what to get. The guy behind the counter was very helpful letting me know what each selection was. I ordered a slice of Pepperoni & Sausage and a slice of Canadian Bacon & Pineapple. Two nice big slices of pizza for $7. The pep/sausage was okay but they could use a better type of sausage with more flavor and spice. The cb/pnple slice was doughy and the pineapple bland and flavorless. For $7, not a bad deal; but I'd pay a bit more if they got better ingredients. I'll try them again and see if I just hit them on a bad day.

The best, affordable pizza in Uptown. The biggest bang for the buck. Their menu is creative with lots of different ingredient combinations, and you can order by the slice if you're in the store. Delivery is free. They frequently give out $3 off coupons for a whole pie or BOGO coupons for slices.

I love taking the 40 or so minute bike ride from my Hopkins home to Uptown and Mesa pizza is my first stop when I arrive! Mesa has a variety of unique and flavorful pizzas that you can purchase by the slice and delicious cookies all for a very affordable price. Some of the best pizzas include taco, macaroni, and margarita. Mesa is my sister and I's go to and I highly recommend for a quick bite to eat!!

Great jumbo new york style pizza slice. Their core customer is no doubt the rowdy drunk yuppies that pour out of the douchy bars of Hennepin around midnight. Nevertheless, the food is great and cheap at around $3.50 a slice. They have plenty of unique and inspired pizza types including southwest burrito or penne pasta.

Mesa has been my favorite pizza place in the TC metro since I moved to the area in the early 2000s. The crust is PERFECTION and if you are leaving it in the box and tossing it you're missing out! Toppings are always fresh, well dispersed, and there is a WIDE variety. Pretty much anything you can think of! I have never had an over or undercooked pizza here and have always had great service. Both locations are sooooo good and I'll keep going back!
