A & J on Lake Street in South Minneapolis is the best chain for such food. This place is bigger but not better, and the staff isn't friendly either. It's all business.

I like trying new restaurants. I first went to Jays in the summer of 2021. I love the catfish and the chicken wings. Service has always been efficient for me, even when there's a lot of customers. Cashier and cook are both pleasant. I've read some bad reviews, but honestly do not have a bad experience here - and I've returned several times!

The staff members ROCK! They were so extra kind and their service and accuracy was great. I tried the catfish, wings, fries and gyro. ALL of the food was hot and delicious. I truly waited too long before coming here. Try it tonight!

When Hungry look no further, only is this location easy to get too, clean and the food is always fresh & hot. If your lucky you will get some of the best customer food service/cooking while Jerson Vasquez is running the place. I've been too many small spots for a bite to eat and this place tops all of St Paul Region.

Great food and service! I got the catfish strips which were amazing and i loved the seasoning. I also got fried okra which was thicker breading than im used to but still good. Food came fast and the people were nice. I'm craving more fish strips right now...D:<

I had fried Grouper and shrimp, greens and fries. My husband had fried scallops and flounder, garlic potatoes and mac and cheese. Everything was excellent. The service was great and the food served hot. It's a little hard to find the place because the billboard sort of blocks it from view. It's worth the hunt. I noticed a lot of locals and that is always a good sign.

Randomly went here after our first option didn’t work out. Turned out great. We ordered a 12 piece wing combo and a Philly steak sandwich. The sandwich was tasty & delicious. The wings were good—the mild and hot sauce definitely made them better.

The food is good, the prices are great, the wait time (IF THERE IS ONE) is quick, the owners are Very Wonderful People, and they accommodate your food the way you want it. They are NOT ♿ accessible, BUT they ARE respectable, polite, and courteous to your needs. It's kind small but you can eat-in and enjoy yourself, read, talk on your cell phone, and have a few laughs. It is also Clean and Close to those in the Brooklyn Park Area. There is however ONLY ONE thing that "I Don't Like" and that is that there is "NOT A RESTROOM" for the customers.

Place was clean, service was friendly. I guess if I had a complaint it was that everything was a bit saltier then I would have preferred. But it's fried food what do you expect LoL.

Jays always has fresh and hot food! They are very warm, welcoming and always happy to see us. I would recommend Jays wide selection of meal and meal deals to anyone.

Jays fish and chicken is what they are very good at making (fish and chicken). Ive tried other items all ok but the Philly cheese steak and meat lovers can compete easly with and even supersedes hooks. But all in all.... the time and food def worth trying.

They have literally the greatest chicken on planet earth. I have traveled to the edges of north america in search of better wings, but I have not found such. As Colonel Sanders lay dying in his hed, his final words uttered were "my 11 herbs and spices were no match for Jay's lemon pepper seasoning". Don't order the small. Get the entire order of 40 wings. When you start, you cannot stop. These wings will change your life, put you on the right path. Get the wings. Shape up

Jay's is a really good place to eat, get extra lemon pepper on your chicken, or catfish, it is so good, and I tried the Philly cheese sandwich with extra mayo it was so good. And Also nice and friendly staff.

Tasty fish, high prices. $10 for fish & fries is ludicrous. The tilapia tasted great (lemon pepper seasonong was a nice twist) but their prices are WAY TOO HIGH.
