above and beyond what you would expect from any restaurant. even the new waitress that had only been working there for 2 days was so professional caring and loving. I've made this brussel sprout dish that they have is an appetizer 40 50 times in many different ways and I've had it at many different places. but whatever they did it was better than I've ever had before. we moved from a table to the bar just to hang out for a little bit longer. and ended up talking to three other people that work there it was just amazing. and the eclair that I had of her dessert !one of the best!?!

Heather's is a gem and we are so lucky to have them down the street from us. They have a rotating menu and add new items frequently. Their food is very fairly price and the portion size is very good. They have a nice mix of comfort food and also healthy options to choose from as well. They wait time is never bad and the staff is friendly and quick. One of our favorite places to come with family visiting from out of town.

Food was very good, great flavors. Place was busy and server had too many tables (hence the 4-stars). No fault of the server but excessive gaps in service. Server was very nice! All staff were very nice and accommodating. Also a very fun, bright, and colorful facility!

We had a lovely date night out at Heathers! This was our first time sitting inside, as the indoor seating was closed the last few times we came here because of Covid. The environment was great! It felt very community oriented with small town friendly service vibes. Our waitress was very good at stopping by the right amount of times. I ordered the salmon teriyaki entree and it was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and complimented the favors in the dish perfectly. Also, I would highly recommend getting an affogato with the almond soft serve for dessert 😋 Definitely check out this local gem!

I go to Heather's nearly every month for breakfast/lunch because it's one of the best places in Minneapolis. I particularly enjoy the reuben when they have it as well as their baked goods. Overall this place serves fresh and fantastic ingredients.

Only outdoor seating.. Tasty Ruben sandwich. Friendly waiter moved me out of the sun into shade instead of host sitting me in the sun only. I feel like maybe it was because I wasn't wearing good enough clothing compared to the rest of the customers 😕 only bad part of the experience. …

I have to say that I was hesitant to try this place, only because of the higher prices. My four stars are only indicative of the price point for a lunch. Despite that, I’m glad we went. The service is outstanding and the meal was delicious. My friend had the summer stone salad with salmon and I had the summer BLT. We each claimed they were the BEST we have ever tasted. We ate outside and felt really comfortable. I plan to be back.

Great food and a charming cafe atmosphere. Sandwiches were very tasty, and I hear good things about their breakfast. They sell to go containers of a coconut curry that's very tasty, although I'm pretty sure the chicken curry doesn't actually have any chicken 🤣

Beautiful outdoor seating, friendly staff, and the food was really good. The open faced egg sandwich was a perfect, refreshing breakfast. Highly recommend!

I was impressed with the food. I had a rueben sandwich and it was delicious. I was only able to eat half as the portions were large. We sat inside since it was pretty windy that day. It was extremely noisy inside but the people I had lunch with said it's generally quieter outside. I would go back because the food was so good.

Wow! Went here for brunch and we were blown away! Everyone's food was above and beyond. Best biscuits I've ever had; quinoa bowl was inventive (and huge); wild rice burger looked amazing. And our server was super personable and attentive! She even provided some great advice to tweak the egg biscuit to make it even better. The inside is small but not at all cramped, and they apparently have a heated tent area as well. We were just overall really impressed - add Heather's to your list!

I love eating here. The food is made with love and quality I ingredients. I am always excited to see what the menu has to offer as it changes often. Everything is good though, from apps, burgers, sandwiches and the entrées. Yum!

Have been to Heather’s several times and will be back several more! Delicious, quality food and good service. They have some vegan and GF options although I wish this was expanded since I have friends and family with these dietary restrictions. Underwhelmed by the Buddha Bowl. To me a Buddha bowl has quinoa and a delicious sauce but it just seemed like ingredients set in a bowl. I usually try to order the special which is always delicious but they often run out of it so make sure to get there early if that’s what you have your heart set on! Everything else I’ve had here is delicious!

Tried Heather's since we were nearby and were just delighted with the experience. The food was wonderful, with well balanced flavor that didn't try to overwhelm your palate. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely return.

Had a wonderful experience on Christmas Eve for brunch. We had the crab cake Benedict and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were so delicious and all the staff members were so kind and helpful!!!

Heathers is a neighborhood gem. The food is comfortable and approachable, and specials keep regulars interested. The vibe is like a warm cup of hot chocolate; servers are friendly, fast, and low key. Recommend the teriyaki salmon bowl and the Reuben.

Great food. Good window service. Table and counter service is just okay. They are located in one of the best biking cities in the country and have not one single bike rack, so sort of disappointed on that note.

Checked out this adorable new cafe in the neighborhood. For a soft opening they are nailing it! I had the open face tuna melt with fries, super tasty and good portion size! Husband had the Salmon BLT with side salad, also super good! The dill vinaigrette on the salad is delicious! Rounded it off with a huge slice of homemade carrot cake again absolutely superb! Can not wait for their official opening, the are a welcome addition to the HPDL neighborhood and we will definitely be back to test more items from the full menu once available!

Ate on the patio with a blanket, and they are supplied if needed. Food was fabulous, The wife's turkey burger with fries and my Reuben with potato salad were quite good, but you gotta have the in-house soft serve, with rotating flavors and/or fresh baked goods as we did. I am embarrassed to say that I forgot our delightful waitress' name who was very sweet. Anthony rocks by the way and I beat Scott.

We ate on the patio today and the food and service was great. We ordered the french dip and the biscuit breakfast sandwich, and all of it was delicious. The food and coffee did cool off pretty quickly but that's to be expected in October in MN. They had several patio heaters out and there was decent wind block as well. If outdoor winter dining isn't for you, they do offer carry our and a walk up window in the front.

Catered a baby shower. Food was the best! Everything was just wonderful. All my guests wanted to know where I got the food. I thought it was reasonably priced for all the variety I got.

Mmmmm! Heather's is a tiny gem that should not be overlooked. The menu has a solid variety of delicious weekly rotating options so check ahead. The staff is incredibly kind and can give thoughtful recommendations. The dining area is cozy and feels more like a special hole-in-the-wall Brooklyn, NY hotspot than a South Mpls neighborhood eatery. Make sure to check it out if you can land a reservation!

Oh YES this was GOOD! Great staff. Beautiful interior (can't wait to eat in some day). And DELICIOUS food! We picked up two sandwiches for lunch: The Cubano & fries (him) and The Roast Turkey w/potato salad (me). We were both very happy. If you are not a meat eater (I rarely eat meat), I would go so far as to say that if you could get the roast turkey sandwich with cheese instead of turkey ~ it would be delicious. On that note, the potato salad was great, but had bacon fyi (I enjoyed it very much). The bread was great! I actually could only eat half of my sandwich (portions were generous), so am looking forward to seeing if this sandwich works for leftovers; you may want to consider sharing. We also got some cookies for later (yum) and muffins for breakfast tomorrow (can't wait to try). We drove out of our way to eat here (live in NE) and will definitely drive out of our way to eat here again. When we all make it to the other side of the pandemic, I can not wait to take my family and friends here. Speaking of that, the staff is wearing masks to help keep you in good health - please do the same for them when you are here to pick up at their great window. Addendum: The vegan blueberry muffins were SOOOOO good. And the turkey sandwich reheated GREAT in my Breville sandwich press (I took out the lettuce, but left everything else in). The bread held up really well and wasn't soggy. YUM day 2!

Heather's has the most darling outdoor patio tent and INCREDIBLE unique dishes. I had a Wild Rice Veggie Burger with their Baked Potato Salad. It was unreal--and I'm not even a vegetarian. I just loved the chance to try something new. The food and atmosphere is definitely enough to bring me back. But I would be remiss if I didn't expound upon the incredible hospitality shown to my party by Heather and the staff. While we were enjoying our sweet "garden party"-like evening on the patio, a storm blew in. Before we could pay up our checks and get to our cars, tornado sirens started blaring. Heather got us all inside, locked up the restaurant and took us down to the basement for shelter. She kept us up to date on weather advisories and even offered us treats while we waited out the storm. She went above and beyond to make sure we were safe and comfortable. We are so lucky to have a spot like Heather's in the area. Make sure to stop in soon and often to show this wonderful establishment some love.

First time here but have wanted to go for awhile. Food was wonderful and atmosphere was energetic. The patio was packed! A good selection of craft beers but I was surprised that many were not local breweries. Perhaps this list changes with the seasons. Had a great blueberry wheat beer from Utah.

The food is very good, the service is excellent. But - the noise level is very great. If all you want is great food, excellent service, and good value for your meal, please come here. If you also want to be able to converse, go elsewhere. We ate on the patio, which is very well-appointed. However, between the din from other restaurant patrons, airplane noise, and neighborhood tree trimming and dump trucks, we could not hear each other's conversation.

Might be one of my favorite restaurants in town. Awesome atmosphere, great prices, and the food is top notch. Brunch was phenomenal. They have a great take out system. Oh and also they made me one of the best BLT's in my life. Do yourself a favor and go visit, and enjoy their fantastic patio.

This is a very unique and friendly place. Pricing is good and the quality of food and service is above and beyond. Even the owner was serving tables and cleaning up. The atmosphere and premises is very clean well maintained. The menu is unique and the finished products are very tempting to the pallet, delicious food and great service. This is a lovely, cozy place. It was busy when we went for lunch but service was good and all the staff were friendly. The upscale food is excellent and the menu provides enough variety for everyone. There is a very large outdoor patio with plenty of room for dozens of people, protected by a tent overhead and outdoor heaters for chilly days. We will be going back. Update: menu has changed and the new things are as good as the others. Highly recommended.

Heather fit us in last minute for lunch and the food was amazing! The hospitality was great as the staff were super attentive with our drinks and orders. I had the salmon BLT with fries and my friend had the quinoa bowl. Both were quite tasty! I would come back in a heartbeat and can’t wait to try other menu items.

Went to Heather's for lunch with my mom after walking around Lake Nokomis! So glad we did. It has amazing, quality food. The menu has something for everyone, multiple items sounded yummy. The outdoor patio was beautiful & the service was great :) Would recommended to everyone!

Really delicious, great ingredients and flavors, nutritious food, and pretty plating, but I left hungry. Always a wait outdoors. We sat at the bar indoors for a weekday lunch. I imagine the weekend meals, especially brunch, must be packed. Look forward to exploring the menu more.

Food is good, but they won’t answer phone if they’re busy. It just rings and rings. The staff told me this. So we had wondered if they’re actually open? I don’t know the strategy in not answering, but I guess it’s to prevents people from leaving orders as a voice messages. It would be helpful to have automated message that you’re busy and try again later. It’s 2022 after all.

My mom and I had a really delicious lunch here 3/2/22. The service was great as well. There was only space available in the tent but it was toast warm and comfortable in there. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and salami pesto grilled cheese. We would definitely come back and dine here again if we are in the area!

While I appreciate the culinary aesthetic and location of this restraunt, regrettably the dishes were bland and joyless. The Cajun Chicken Pasta could just as easily be sold as the "Jalapeño Chicken Pasta" and you'd never know the difference because it lacked any trace of Cajun seasoning and is covered in Jalapeños. The chicken had a light char which I enjoyed, but against the blandness of the entire dish made it taste slightly burnt rather than something by intent. The saving graces of this dish were the mushrooms, which were tender and surprisingly flavorful on their own. The Buddha Bowl to its credit has a lovely assortment of vegan options, but it too suffers from being under seasoned. The curry tofu while aromatic was particularly lacking in flavor. It really is a good idea for a plate though. Overall for the price point I could not recommend Cajun Chicken Bowl. The Buddha Bowl however could be recommended to at least try, but don't expect anything too remarkable.

The food here tastes so delicious and fresh! I had the open faced breakfast sandwich and it hit the spot. The coffee was really good. My friends got the Buddha bowl and the breakfast quesadilla and those were good as well. My only complaint is that I didn’t have a great service experience. That being said, I’ll definitely plan on going back to give their other menu items a try!

My partner and I came here on Saturday morning for a late breakfast/early lunch. We were able to get a table fairly quickly. We ordered an iced chai tea, latte with oat milk, Buddha bowl, wild rice burger, and éclaire. The drinks were really good - the coffee in particular was standout as rich and flavorful without being acidic or burnt. The Buddha bowl was a surprisingly tasty vegan option. The wild rice burger fell a little flat on flavor, needing more salt and acidity to taste good - I got jalapeños to put on it which helped. Our server was not very friendly, which made us feel less comfortable there. Otherwise, I liked the setup of the restaurant with the local items for sale and grab 'n' go counter.

1st time here, referred by friends. Stopped by on a whim.. Front door said reservations only for back patio, but the employee told us to go around back as they had availability! We each had their $14 field burger, with bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, Mayo and choice of 3 sides: fries(not crinkle cut), salad (I think) and bacon potato salad. My burger was a bit too pink the middle, but I didn't say anything, I ate 1/2, & just brought the rest home to cook more. My husband loved his! For dessert we had the strawberry rhubarb custard pie with soft serve vanilla ice cream. I'd have it again if they could heat up the pie next time, as I'm not used to a cold piece of pie. Great experience! Friendly and happy employees, pleasant Outdoor area. Available and ample parking in lot! I took excellent pictures, but can't seem to attach them here.

I had no idea this little neighborhood gem was so close to me, until I received a gift card and checked it out! This is a great casual spot with high quality food and an impressive beer list. The menu has something for everyone. Love that they do daily specials too so you can always try something new. I had the salmon with coconut rice, mango salsa and black beans and it was fantastic. Also loved their chocolate cake for dessert. Will definitely be going back soon!

We had Heather's cater our small, intimate wedding reception in our home this Winter. The menu variety was exciting, the set-up that Heather's did in our home was seamless, and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Our guests were raving about the food and we have Heather's to thank for all of that. Thank you for making our event (and wedding day!) so special!!

I'd do 3.5 stars if you could give a half. Start with the pros: 1) chai tea latte was good, 2) I don't eat calamari but my wife liked it, and I really enjoyed the fried peppers mixed in, 3) the turkey burger was good, 4) the éclair for dessert was so good we ordered another to go. Cons: 1) my wife was specifically excited to have the walleye special on Valentine's Day and we had 6:00 reservations, so pretty early in the night, and they ran out just before she ordered it, 2) it took a very long time to get our food, I try to be understanding on busy nights, but we spent more of our time there with an empty table vs with food in front of us, 3) possibly related to that timing, my fries weren't hot, barely warm, and they were not at all crispy, more like the texture of day old fries reheated in a microwave.

SUPERB IN EVERY WAY! Came early for reservation and was welcomed and seated almost immediaty. Wait staff was friendly and server well-informed and STRESSED that they were there to please, When one of my party asked to substitute salmon for shrimp, NO PROBLEM. Generous portions without sacrificing exceptional quality. Shrimp was BEAUTIFULLY toothsome and moist. Pasta was perfect and flavors sang. HEATHER'S MAKES EVERYWHERE ELSE SEEM POINTLESS. HIGHLY recommend stopping in for brunch. Well curated menu. The open face egg sandwich was an absolute delight. The peppermint mocha also did not disappoint. Glad to see their restrictions and felt comfortable eating here. The dog treat at the end was a lovely surprise. Will be absolutely returning!

I'd actually rate it a 4.5, but that's not an option. Very much enjoyed my chicken paillard pasta. Great service. We were catching up after covid and they have us the space to enjoy ourselves without ignoring us. Outside under the tent; though we didn't need them, they had heaters at the ready to extend the season. Staff is masked. tables are well spaced, but it's a huge patio. Beer and wine only.

Updated We have tried the Field burger, roasted turkey sandwich, the quesadilla, and the bacon burger, and the potato ham soup . All of the items have been superb. All the items have been fresh and the time they tell us to pick them up has been spot on. There customer service was super friendly both times and the place is super clean . I can not emphasis enough on how flavorful the food is. I ordered the seafood pasta which was amazing but my girlfriend ordered the candy cashew chicken salad which they forgot the candy cashews. Mistakes happen, I called them to complain and the manager was very nice. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again. I will continue to go back and support this neighborhood establishment.

I loved everything about this place. The outdoor patio was adorable. The food was outstanding and the dessert was beyond what I could imagine. I had a great time. I went about 2 pm and avoided the rush hours. Staff was friendly, accurate and so accommodating. I will be returning.

Second time here. Had braised beef sandwich, salmon and beet salad, vegan Buddha bowl, kids mac and cheese. Food was good and freshly prepared. Customer service was excellent.

Wonderful food. Be sure you know ingredients if your Diabetic. Kind servers. We ate in the tent..it is complete with chandeliers and tables are socially distanced.

This place is great!! We're so lucky they opened in the neighborhood, clearly filling a need for quick, excellent food. Their take-out business is on point. It's almost always ready in like 20 minutes and I cannot believe how good their fries, burgers, and fried chicken sandwiches are for being to-go. I mean, everything is great, but I'm amazed how well that stuff holds up for takeaway. And my daughter goes nuts for their kids cheeseburger meal with greens. I love walking up for a chocolate croissant and miel + vanilla too!! And they love having pups walk up too. 😁

I brought a friend here who lives nearby and we were both so grateful to find this gem in South Minneapolis. He had the Cubano, I had the Hale burger. We were both blown away by the flavors. To top it all off, the staff was so warm and inviting. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu and enjoy the beautiful patio.

AMAZING. Gotten both takeout and eaten on their outdoor patio. The salmon teriyaki bowl is so yum. And the environment feels a lil fancy and a lil casual. A really good place to take your parents out to dinner haha. The only negative is when a friend and I ate their during late summer, there were a TON of flies buzzing around the outdoor patio and one even drowned in my rosé. The waitress was kind and brought me another and I don't blame them for the flies but it was obnoxious to keep swatting them away from our delicious food!

Just had the most amazing restaurant experience. Called 45 minutes before closing and when I got there they put had put together a table for us already. Yummy food and the nicest people. Will be back. Very cute place.

Nice staff. Nice location. Amazing croissants. The fried chicken was a carryout. Looked really good. It's only issue was it was way underseasoned. Once I added salt it was really good.

GO NOW! We do take-out at least once a week & everything we've tried is delicious & has elevated flavors for your local corner place. All components of the meal are thought out & use fresh ingredients (including their dressings & sauces). It's all great for grabbing an iced coffee & cookie after a long day. Only complaint is that they don't open before 10am (would be great to grab a coffee & pastry in the morning) & they should bring the French onion sandwich back!

I was so excited to see Heather’s open after the old Mario’s building had sat vacant for so many years! My wonderful wife and I already went twice this past weekend to check it out. The food was clearly made with fresh, quality ingredients. Portions are generous and prices are good. Particularly recommended is getting the “salad trio," which is three deli items of your choice. My dearest wife and I are sure to return frequently as their soft open continues so that we may try more of their menu. On one of the visits I had the turkey sandwich (which was very good), with greens on the side (which had an awesome dressing). Final other notes: the interior is light and cheerful and seems larger than it is. Staff is friendly. Crowd this weekend had a really family-friendly atmosphere with neighborhood folks of all ages. Excited to see where this business goes!

We visited Heather's last night after they opened back up; it was our first time at the restaurants. First, the tent was warm and inviting and the staff were very good about COVID precautions. We ordered the truffle fries and they were some of the best fries we ever had, simply amazing. For our main course we got the beet salad and jambalaya - again, they were phenomenal. The only bad thing about Heather's is we haven't been able to eat in what appears to be a great new dining space! We've ordered takeout a couple times in the past few weeks and both were fantastic. Baked goods were super tasty, I loved my oat and almond milk lattes, the fritattas we've tried have been excellent. My favorite so far has been the biscuits and gravy! So glad to see this spot opened and thriving as a newer business especially during challenging times!

We go to Heather’s at least every week! We love their bakery items, soft serve, Cajun shrimp salad, quinoa burger, pasta, and soups. Walk up window is great for a quick coffee or snack, they have an amazing site for takeout with updated stock, and their patio is also wonderful - I recommend a reservation.

WOW! My friends took me out to dinner last night. Heather's had an outside table open for the four of us on short notice at 8pm. I ordered the Buddha Bowl. It was delicious! We stopped in for a late lunch not expecting much since they recently opened. The menu was short but both of the dishes we ordered were incredibly flavorful. I ordered the Bhudda Bowl which was incredibly fresh with distinct flavors and the right amount of spice so the ingredients could shine through without being overpowered. My wife's turkey sandwich in sourdough was "one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time" according to her. The ambiance is great, (bright, open, airy) and the staff is very friendly. Do yourself a favor and go to Heather's. So charming.

This is my favorite go-to in Minneapolis. The online ordering is great and so is the to-go window! Favorite is the salmon teriyaki bowl (and I don’t even like teriyaki). It’s so fresh and the vegetables and coconut rice are well-balanced. Also a fan of the Cajun salmon blt, and the specials are always yummy. If they have they have the beef bulgogi - get it. Great desserts and pastries. I know that the chocolate chip cookies are a favorite but I like the others better - monster cookie has it all! Anyway, will eat here any time. Definitely has my vote for consistent perfection.

We LOVE Heather’s! We get takeout every few weeks—I always get the Buddha bowl (it’s amazing) and my husband gets the teriyaki salmon bowl, which he shares with our 13 month old daughter. Our daughter loves the food so much (she literally shoves salmon pieces in her mouth, one after another—then she moves on to the avocado and edamame). It’s gotten to the point that we probably need to start ordering 2 teriyaki salmon bowls! (the teriyaki flavor is incredible). We were really worried that Heather’s wouldn’t be able to survive the pandemic (we felt so bad that the pandemic hit right after they opened) and we’re so glad they seem to be doing well! It’s such a great addition to our neighborhood.

Came here for brunch the other day. Loved the food, atmosphere, and tent concept that they have out back. Staff seemed pretty overwhelmed and almost, cold? Distant? Not sure but was surprised because the food is so warm and welcoming. Maybe just an off day but will be back to confirm.

Heather’s is a neighborhood gem! The menu offers plenty of variety, including healthier options that still pack tremendous flavor. For instance, the blackened salmon quinoa bowl with cilantro lime vinaigrette had wonderful layers of sweetness from the pineapple salsa, heat from the pickled jalapeños, and acid from the vinaigrette. Even though it was a “healthier” option, the combination of black beans, quinoa and salmon left me feeling plenty full. The restaurant was kind enough to split up two entrees for us, so I shared the turkey burger with my wife. It’s a very lean burger, which we actually prefer, with great crunch from the cabbage slaw, a pillowy potato bun, and Thai flavors from the peanut sauce. But the clear winner on that plate was the potato salad with hints of bacon and grainy mustard. We’ll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu! One recommendation: make a reservation, even for lunch. The main dining room was full when we got there at 11:30am on a Friday and a huge rush of people came in closer to 12noon. I’m not surprised — the food deserves the attention!
