Reviews of Giulia
Abigail Wick-Lambert
My second time dining here. Tried the table side pulled mozzarella this time around. Great experience and a very tasty appetizer. Love the signature cocktails and service is amazing. Food was pretty good. I got the fettuccine verde and highly recommend this dish! Beautiful atmosphere and location as well.

Since I have tried many Italian food places in the Twin Cities area, I will say that Giulia is a solid option but comes up just slightly short. The funghi pizza was good but was slightly salty and was too expensive for its size. The oven-fired focaccia was a solid choice and the pomodoro sauce complemented the bread very well. Pasta-wise, I got the fettuccine verde, which my friend liked but I thought it was way too salty. But I did think that the spinach poppyseed pasta was very well-made! It was easy to tell it was made on the spot and tasted very fresh. The pappardelle tasted pretty good, and it was pretty hard to go wrong with that option since it had pork ragu and tomato. The seafood cavatelli could be better as I thought the seafood's flavor and the pasta's flavor (along with its sauce) did not mesh well, causing the seafood to taste like its own thing instead of in synchrony with the pasta. We ordered two desserts, the chocolate panna cotta and the almond frangipane. Both were solid 10/10 and would definitely recommend! Overall it was a good experience and satisfied my food curiosity for the place!

If it was not for a terrible lunch I had on the same day, I did not plan to dine here during my MSP vacation. At the recommendation of one of Emery's general managers, I figured I would have dinner here on the last day of my vacation. I spoke with their executive chef briefly before sitting down for my dinner and him being relatively new (started in May 2022) showed in my main dish. I ordered their seafood cavatelli and it would have been a great dish had it not been so darn salty! I saw another recent review about a negative experience with their hostess and the same happened to me - when I made a reservation, she never asked for my name... When I arrived and told a host staff that I was there for my reservation, I was not the least bit surprised he could not find it. Compared to my dinner at Ciao bella, this Italian dinner was a disappointment given that you pretty much spend the same amount of money at both places. Good cocktail and the high level of service provided by their wait staff saved my dining experience.

My husband booked dinner reservations here out of the blue for a random Monday night. Because of the MLK holiday and it faking on a Monday we were able to street park kitty-corner from the restaurant. Walking in and taking in the atmosphere my immediate thought was that this was an upscale, hip locale. Repurposing an old bank compete with marble toned columns and vault doors, this space is utilized fantastically. The dark tile set behind and around the open kitchen is a great contrast to the marble walls. Open wood and pipe shelving with lots of greenery brings a light and modern feel breaking up the space. Despite being a marble hall, the sound is well balanced and not loud. Some additional thought and planning could have gone in to the bathrooms as the restaurant does not have their own but shares with the hotel lobby. Having to cross the entire lobby to the front doors to use the facilities is not how I would prefer to wash my hands but the bathrooms were clean and matched the overall decor.
We ordered burrata and cocktails to start.

Both were lovely but mine, the whisky based drink, didn't taste like alcohol and went down dangerously. More than one of these could be consumed without a second thought. I also ordered a glass of the chianti though it didn't technically pair with our entrees.
For mains we ordered the Sweet Corn Risotto and the Salmon All'Arrbiatta. The salmon was cooked perfectly; flakey and crisp on the outside while tender and most inside. I've decided I'm at an age where I won't eat overcooked proteins and I was far from disappointed. I appreciated the ratio of sauce and toppings to fish and loved the freshness of the arugula, fennel, and radish. The Risotto seemed like it could be a hairsbreadth between amazing and overkill with frico (cheese rinds), pickled mushrooms, peppers, and of course sweet corn. We ordered it with sausage and it was fantastic. The rice was properly cooked and the flavors of the cheese, corn, wild mushrooms and peppers were an incredible blend. Topped with the delicately crumbled sausage it packed a unique flavor that I will happily return for.
We finished with the Panna Cotta which, while not necessarily traditional Italian as presented, was the right finish to the meal for our region. Chocolate and salted cream with strawberry rhubarb coulis and peanut brittle was the perfect marriage of Minneapolis and Italy. Overall we enjoyed the meal and appreciated our server Ella very much. As Giulia continues to establish itself as a restaurant in a hotel downtown Minneapolis with a fantastic cocktail menu (one very different from other such restaurants) I for one am excited to see how they progress and plan to visit again soon.

Stopped in on a Saturday night with hopes to grab a table. Place was very busy and was offered a spot at the bar. My gf and I sometimes prefer to belly up so we were open to it. So happy we did. We had a front row seat to Pete working the well. He made some great recommendations and kept casual conversation the whole night.
We had the seasonal Burrata and artichoke Panzanella to start. Burrata was on the sweeter side which was unexpected, but very good. Panzanella was phenomenal.
My girl is a vegetarian so Pete made some recommendations. Went with two pasta options. Wonderful meal, amazing bartender. It was a little slower but we knew that coming in with how busy it was, but we’ll worth the wait. Will be back and for sure will sit at the bar and check on Pete. 5/5

We came here for a work dinner. While we did have a big team, the service was quite slow. I felt bad for the waiter as I feel this was probably due to him having too many tables and couldn't tend to us properly. The kitchen was super slow and we didn't have food for at least an hour in. It allowed us to talk but we arrived at 7 and didn't leave until 10 to 10. I appreciate the waiter doing what he could but he needed help. The pizza was delicious but the risotto was kind of unedible to one of my coworkers. I'd be willing to give them another try but honestly I don't know when I'd be back in downtown mpls.

This place is great! It was our first time in and we had a great experience. Our hostess was incredible. We were in Friday night and I didn’t grab her name, but while she walked us to our table, she gave us such great recommendations for appetizers and was so kind! Our server was new and didn’t have a great run down of the menu yet, so we really had to lean on the hostess for recommendations for main dishes (I actually went back to the host stand to ask her!). Would definitely recommend checking out. I felt it was slightly pricey for the portion size you get, but the food was great.

I came here for a work dinner about a week ago and overall I had a pleasant experience. Although, it was not really for the food and the service but mainly for the location.
Indeed, I found the atmosphere being the strongest point of this place. The restaurant and bar are very well arranged and decorated with a modern vibe. I would recommend this restaurant to somebody who wants to have a drink or a bite in a nice location (especially after work) but does not have high expectations on the culinary experience... the meal is going to be fine, not exceptionally good (and not really Northen Italian as claimed... I am from there); the service may also be quite slow (that was the case for us). Nonetheless, since the setup was quite enjoyable, the overall experience, on average, was a nice one.
Josh Morrison
The Chicken Parmesan is so succulent! It's an absolute must try entrée! Outstanding service by all the professionals that work here! This is a must stop restaurant in Minneapolis, and the Lobby where it's located has just a phenomenal architecture from the early years of the city!
Luis Bonilla
To begin I would like to say, reservations are the way to go with this place. However, with that being said the food was good, desserts were amazing, drinks were right on. This place was busy so the wait between getting seated, drinks, and food was longer than expected. This did not however affect the quality of service. Definitely recommend this place.
Mark Gonzales
Phone ordered something that wasn't on the menu, and the Manger took care of me and it was delish!! A little pricey, but solid flavor!
Mark Madigan
Had lunch here during restaurant week. Staff was friendly and gave great service. Had a delicious meatball app, yummy ceaser salad, amazing rigatoni, and panna cotta for dessert.
Charity Pikkaraine
Incredible food. I had the Alfredo, it's not your typical Alfredo though but man was it good! Staff was wonderful and super awesome. Bathrooms were BEAUTIFUL.
Asia Enger
Great atmosphere, comfortable but upscale. Ordered the charcuterie board which I felt like could've had a little more to it for the price you're paying. Entrees and drinks were also very good.
Jenaye Coleman
I really enjoyed my experience here. The restauraunt was beautiful, the service was solid and the food was very good. The pappardelle was delicious and I very much enjoyed the Dove in Flight drink. I think the their only downfall is that there is honestly a ton of great italian spots in the city, that may have a slight edge, but I still really enjoyed everything and would definitely come back. I would truly give it a 4.5, in comparision with some of my faves in the city.
Adam Battaglini
Great cocktails and bar staff, but this chef has to know that unless you're serving fried, grilled, or cocktail shrimp by it's self, you take the tails off, full stop. If half your dishes have the option to mix shrimp with pasta or salad then take the m-f'n tails off!
Chase Nelson
Giulia may have a small menu but it's filled with tons of great options. Each time I've stopped in I've loved everything I've tried. Their heirloom salad was definitely a table favorite, it was super unique and delicious. Giulia also has an amazing space that awes me each time I visit. I highly recommend trying Giulia if you like authentic Italian food or if you're just looking for something new.
Otoki Sicily
Went for the first day of restaurant week. Food was delicious (especially the tableside pulled mozzarella, black kale salad and chicken piccata).
Service was friendly and helpful but kitchen was slow so we ended up sitting there waiting for each course to come out. While the restaurant was somewhat full at first, by the last 30 minutes we were the last people in the restaurant.
Definitely willing to try again because the food was worth the wait!
Justin Emil
Very ok spot. Food is fine at best, mixed drink menu is American at best, wine list is ok for how small it is. There's a reason you haven't heard much about it, i.e. runny panna cotta (pudding le), reminded me of Jello pudding in the 90's. Bartender from Constantine was the highlight by a long shot.
Mister Jon
Amazing ambiance. Service was responsive and friendly, although the server seemed unable or unwilling to make minor menu substitutes. Menu is small and slightly overpriced compared to the competing restaurants nearby. Cheese on the pizza was criminally non-existent. Pizza was basically bread and pizza sauce. This place is an improvement over the prior restaurant that was here, but still has a ways to go to compete.
Chris Peanosky
Staff were awesome! They even made any amazing mock tail for my pregnant wife. Also one of the best pizzas in the city! Pasta made from scratch was delicious. Will return again and again!
Stephan L K
The hostess made us (group of 8) feel welcome. Sitting at the communal table was great. Good service from Tricks. The Mozzarella a mano is still good! I loved the Agnolotti. The gin and tonic was weak.
Harriet Om.
If you are looking for a contemporary, indoor garden feel, with a spin of industrial and classic ambience you got it all here.(Its Initially a bank from 1906-2008).The restaurant is located in the Emery Hotel, for a first timer it maybe challenging to locate.
The menu was small but with tasteful choices which can be curated to your preferences. Yes you GF and Vegan peoples they will adjust their menu, simply ask.
Catherine Sutton
Service was fantastic, the food was very good but my pasta was a little cooled by the time I got it. Even so, I would definitely go there again.
Sarah Carsello
Beautifully decorated with a simple lunch menu (11 am to 2 pm). It's pretty busy but service is on spot and the servers are very attentive (explaining everything and refilling water). The burger panini was seasoned very well with a nice sauce to compliment the garganzola. More than enough food to fill you up!
Paul Kim
Pizza was great as I was a guest in the hotel. I order the mushroom pizza but was disappointed by it not being as imaged with arugula. I asked the front wait staff at the bar if this was correct, but the customer service I received was just horrid. Walked away saying we don’t make it like that, not letting me just ask for bloody napkins or chili flakes. Literally just walked away with full knowledge I was still there, Not what I would expect from a up and coming restaurant and just passive aggressive. Pete at the bar was gracious and extremely helpful, and corrected my pizza with arugula explaining the issue with the image and the actual pie, going as far as having the kitchen remake the pizza and just plain old being a good person. While I’m a frequent guest at the hotel, I might think twice about the customer service dining in. I don’t expect much but honestly that is an extreme turn off and the reviews of the location say the same. While I don’t want to say it’s reflective of the kitchen and other staff, for a top contender of the best pie I’ve had in MSP, I have to say the staff should do better. Give Pete a raise and I’ll continue to come. Great pie, but ask for Pete at the bar. Thanks Pete for making my experience that much better.
Pizza - fantastic char, great dough and the crust was phenomenal. Simple and delicious.
Service - something to be improve one but I think I just caught someone on their bad day, still not good.
Michael Joseph
We went for happy hour and then had some appetizers. Firstly I love the ambience of the Giulia, it's located in the same building as the Emery next to Spyhouse Coffee. They have great cocktails and friendly service.
R. Bertin
We had a wonderful experience at Giulia! The host was inviting, friendly, and extremely accommodating for our party of 5. We enjoyed four separate selections from their menu, with all orders done to our liking and satisfaction. Our waitstaff was attentive to our needs, making our dining experience even that the more enjoyable. Our Chicken Parmesan was a wonderful balance of pasta and chicken, finished with the perfect blend of sauce and cheese. The Cacio e Pepe left us wanting more with a perfect blend of cheeses and spice. Our Maltagliatis thoughtful preparation matched its flavorful blend of ingredients. Lastly the pizza crust was a perfect blend of chewy, yet crisp, with fresh toppings. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Delicious meal but not hot. They charged $4 for ice in my drink. They charge for bread. They charge 11% tax even though tax in Minneapolis is 8.3%. Check your bill very carefully!!!
Jackie Olson
Food was delicious! Our server was very attentive and accomodating to our requests. Will definitely recommend 👌!
Colin Kramarich
Pete was fantastic. Food was phenomenal, drinks were incredible. And the space is incredibly beautiful. I would eat here every day!
Jason T Wright
My fiance and I had the best time here. The food and atmosphere was exceptional. All of the staff were wonderful from start to finish. I proposed to my fiance that night and Ranee looked after us ensuring that everything was perfect. This is a wonderful place.
Nick Brothers
Wonderfull experience. We stopped in here for dinner. The waiter was very attentive and polite. I tried Steak for the first time, and it was really good. My wife had the fish and that was delicious as always. Very nice and calm atmosphere. Overall, great food and it was a great experience.
Diana White
Really enjoyed the cocktails and thought bartender Pete was great.
Greg B
Amazing place. Great decor. Personal was very attentive and food came out quickly. Food was good, very interesting appetizers. Pizza was ok. Past dish was great. Cocktails are nice. Overall really liked it.
Ed B
Dined on 2/15 with my partner and wasn’t satisfied. My server was great but clearly overwhelmed with tables. Waited with empty water and bar drinks for over 15 mins, and took over 20 mins to come back to take our order after appetizers had been dropped. Which I understand considering how many tables he was working at the same time. However we tried multiple times to flag down the blond haired lady who I assume was the manager for some help, but she seemed preoccupied with chatting with the bar staff and standing around in the back right corner of the restaurant by the kitchen. Just not the level of service we expected especially after spending $203 ($173 on food and $30 tip). Will definitely try to patronize again because the food was awesome, just maybe on a less busy night.
Mitchell Johnson
I came for their restaurant preselect menu and it was incredible. I started with their bruschetta the bread was delightfully toasted and topped with a perfect medley of accoutrements. The bolognese rigatoni I had next was impeccable the homemade pasta was perfectly elastic and the bolognese had the best consistency for the sauce. Finally I had the strawberry and lemon basil gelato which was heavenly. I cannot praise this place enough, truly phenomenal food.
Kelsey Mathisen
We booked Giulia for our rehearsal dinner after another restaurant in Minneapolis unexpectedly shut down just three weeks before our event and the staff at Giulia literally saved the day! We worked with Nick and Tiffany, as well as the owner/chef Steven Brown who helped create a custom menu for our rehearsal dinner, they all were so amazing and beyond helpful, going that extra mile for everything! The event itself went on flawlessly and the food was some of the best we've ever had. We still have guests commenting to us on the food and how great it was. We've also eaten here on a normal evening out and again, the food and service never fails to surpass expectations!
Lauren Brooks
The Black Apple pizza will keep you coming back and back! Amazing atmosphere and friendly staff!
Sophie Herrema
The risotto made me cry it was so astounding
Lorrice Grant
The stars are foe our server Zoe. She was amazing! The food was okay. The cook didn't follow the menu, even after I sent the food back.
Anna St. Amant
I can't even begin to express how amazing the bartender was! We had a group of 50+ people and he, working alone, served everyone their own choice of cocktail in an incredibly timely manner! Sometimes making one while shaking the other. Absolutely impressive! That man needs a raise!!
Megan D
Nice happy hour menu with featured drinks and a special bartender creation. The spritz and Negroni were very flavorful. The burrata pizza had delicious slightly spicy red sauce and a nice authentic crust. The atmosphere was very classy and airy with pretty lights and an open feel plus many different seating options. Does not feel like a cheese hotel bar at all
Daniel Picard
The food here at Giulia is absolutely outstanding! Everyone needs to try the Mozzarella a Mano aka fresh mozzarella made right in front of you at your table! It was absolutely delightful!
The pasta is homemade on-site.
The bread is made on-site.
The pizza dough is made on-site.
We ordered the venison pasta and salumi pizza and both were amazing.
Our server is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.... She was very lackadaisical and inattentive during our time here. She completely forgot what we ordered over 20 minutes after we'd been waiting and came back asking about special requests we'd made (of which we made none) and then the confusion on our faces must've been evident so she clicked her mouth and then asked "Well what exactly did you guys order then?" The food came out about 10-15 minutes after that....
It can get loud in there and the lights noticeably got a lot darker at 7pm, which was unnecessary because it certainly wasn't brightly lit before that.
The food is the star here and it is certainly worth stopping in anytime you're near..... Or even if you're not near it's only a block off of the light rail!
Miss Jamie
Lovely new restaurant in the newly renovated Emery Hotel. Great food, excellent service. Thank you!
Andrew Huynh
Nice atmosphere. Food is very tasty with lots of flavor.
Dj
Everything we had was great! Caprese, flatbread, and risotto, plus wine, cocktails and desserts!
Ann McGuire
Wow, what a nice surprise. We arrived separately, which was handled graciously by the hostess and the waiter. I enjoyed a draft negroni (!) until my husband arrived. He started with an "Italian old-fashioned". Both were excellent. Next, was table-side made mozzarella, which felt like something you'd have on vacation in Italy. Then, house-made venison ravioli. Next a pork chop and chicken. Finally, the black cocoa budino - the real chocolate deal. The waiter did review our reservation notes and made sure we made it to the Guthrie on time. The whole experience was relaxing, enjoyable, and delicious!
We look forward to returning soon with friends.
Adam Scott
Ricotta Meatballs, Insalata Mista & Malltagliati... The most fantastic dinner imaginable. Great service and a fantastic space within the hotel lobby. Really 6 stars. Well worth the price of admission.
Casey Coughlin
The best cacio e pepe I've had.
The bartender, Pete, is charming and makes a difficult job look easy.
Do your taste buds a favor, eat here.
Betty Gunderson
The service was great. My pizza crust was mostly black. Because I was hungry I ate 2 1/2 pieces of the 6. I asked the server if I could get some money off the price of the pizza. The server said because I ate some and didn't return it right away she couldn't do that. She did offer me another pizza, but I declined. It seems like this policy should be changed.
Suntory Sushi
Excellent food great service and awesome atmosphere.
Trina Koning
Breezy modern atmosphere inside the Emery hotel. Food is exceptional. The rosemary garlic fries are crispy with a delicate flavor and entirely worth the calorie splurge. The pizza dough is fermented for 48 hours and yields a crust that is thin yet with a thicker finish that's both crunchy and chewy. Delicious! Tasty panini sandwiches are piled high open faced on crunchy bread. Kale salad is a transcendent experience. Overall gastric heaven all around.
Micah Beverley
pete is a phenomenal bartender! great wine section recommendations! he also recommended us to a delightful appetizer.
Ashwin Katuri
The service was just mediocre. The waiter had a lot of knowledge but he said things as if he just repeating like an Automated machine. For some reason there probably was a shift change in the middle of our dining and they messed up our order(although our first waiter was still helping other customers). Took 30 minutes to bring our desert. Food was pretty good though. But I don’t think I’ll go back, if I am paying a premium for food, I would also expect quality service.
Rebecca Mazza
After reading about them making mozzarella table side, my husband and I have been wanting to try Giulia. We ordered the super mozzarella which included all of the toppings for the cheese. We loved it and enjoyed talking to the chef when he came to make the cheese. We enjoyed some negroni cocktails. Even the one on tap was great. For dinner I had the agnolotti which was outstanding. Almost as good as what you get in Italy and definitely the best I've had in the US. My husband had the veal milanese which was good but not great considering the price tag. The polenta was also outstanding. Our server Aaron was attentive to all of our needs. We look forward to going back!
Alexis Jones
My friend and I dined here before going to a show at Orchestra Hall, and had a great experience. We both had eaten here before, but we always sat at the bar and got appetizers, drinks and pizza. We started with the Mozzarella a Mano Caprese which was amazing and really fun to watch being prepared. My main dish was the Trout Saltimbocca which I’ve always wanted to try, and finally got the chance. I’ve only eaten trout a handful of times, but it was by far the best I’ve had, and my favorite fish dish that I’ve had anywhere. My friend got the the Agnolotti and she loved it. We also got the polenta; we are literally obsessed with it! It’s creamy, buttery goodness. Unfortunately we were running late and didn’t have time for dessert, but we will definitely be coming back. Everyone is really nice and having a proper dining experience for a change was a lot of fun. We will definitely be returning soon!
Jenny
The food and ambiance were both really nice. But from the front driving by this place looks like it's been closed down. They seriously need to put out some signs or open the corner doors or something. Parking is best in the ramp on Marquette between 4th and 5th
Matt P
Table side Moz was the best mozzarella I've ever had. The pizza was pretty good but I've had better. Still some service kinks to work out but everyone was very friendly and a very interesting space.
Stephen Lawson
Extremely good experience, wonderful staff and space, fantastic cocktails, the food was flavorful and the portions were just right. It is a bit dear but for a special night.
Danni P
Really good. Portions could be alil bigger for the price
Ali Rox
Beautiful redo of the former Minneapolis Hotel or whatever it was called.
Ben Hanson
Pete at the bar looks like Lin Manuel Miranda and is every bit as kind and educated as you’d expect. Fabulous service and great pizza.
Aaron Kessler
One of the best hidden gems in Minneapolis. I was invited in to visit and try their Negroni flights (which were wonderful), but the food was what truly blew my mind. The Pork Chop and the Trout Saltimbocca were two of the best dishes in the Twin Cities! I can't wait to go back and indulge in this delight of a Steven Brown delight.
Ishan Sahu
The food and drinks are good. The atmosphere is unique in my opinion. It took a very very long time for our food to come out. The server was friendly, but the food took forever.
Gio Nguyen (Dr. Gio Nguyen)
On this Friday night I by chance walked into the drinking care of Pete at the Giulia bar in downtown Minneapolis. I have been 'good' for sometime (in meditation & in compassion practice, I tell myself), and this must be the nowness karma payoff (;)) with the refined services at the bar, and Pete's supporting staff (esp. Ms. Angie). The indelible happiness you may attain for yourself at this Guilia Bar will surely convince you that we can all be able to achieve our own happy enlightenment within this lifetime of ours. I recommend you to verify my experience with your own.

I was really looking forward to coming to this restaurant. I walked in and were amazed by the interior and aesthetics of the restaurant. Few mins later I was very disappointed on how rude the host and bartender were. I stood by the check in table for a few mins to be seated. The bartender and host just kept making eye contact but not seat me. Once I seen my party at the table. I stood there confused if I should have went to them. Once I decided too. The bartender stopped me and spoke rudely to me saying I needed to wait to be seated. I explained to her that I made reservations and my party was there. She rudely said okay I may go.
Other than the service, the food was amazing and the waitress, Ella was so so kind!
Trevor Cabrera
At lunch they were a little short staffed so it took a second to get sat, but afterwards was great. Seafood Cavatelli was filling. Awesome vibe.

The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance is perfect. We had to wait almost an entire hour for our first round of drinks. We ordered two plates of meatballs-both were served cold. We were starving so we didn’t send them back-the flavor was delicious though. Three of our 6 person party ordered the spaghetti and none of us cared for the flavor. Wine list was disappointing, they were out of Prosecco. Most of the table ordered cocktails and everyone liked what they ordered. Our server was very nice.
I had wanted to order pizza to go but was asked to wait till later in the meal. I waited, placed my pizza order and then was told the kitchen is closed and they couldn’t make the pizza I ordered. They did give me a free pizza-not what I ordered but it was better than leaving empty handed.
I really wanted to love this restaurant but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. I’ll probably give it one more try with a smaller party size.

We recently stayed at the Emery Hotel and decided to try the new brunch offering at Giulia. First of all, the entire first floor of the Emery Hotel is stunning, and Giulia is no exception. The mix of blue tile, dark woods, marble pillars, coffered ceilings and the open kitchen with a blazing oven created a memorable ambiance.
As for the food, we had heard great things about the breakfast pizza, but decided to save that for another time because we were having pizza for dinner. I wanted something lighter, so I opted for the frittata with arugula, asparagus, spinach, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes, topped with parmesan and crushed red pepper. It was exactly what I hoped for — light, fresh, loaded with veggies and still piping hot when it came to the table. We got a tip about the house made sausage, so my wife ordered the Colazione Americano, which included pan-steamed eggs, house sausage, potatoes alla greca and focaccia. Everything on the plate was well prepared and the focaccia quite tasty as an alternative to toast. But the sausage…wow. Slightly sweet, salty, juicy, fork tender and ridiculously delicious. Some of the best sausage I’ve ever had.
The only very small hiccup was that our server seemed very new and didn’t know the answer to many of our questions. Can the eggs be prepared scrambled rather than pan-steamed, for instance? He wasn’t sure. Do you have almond or soy milk for the coffee? He wasn’t sure. Do you have ketchup? He wasn’t sure…but then came back with a spicy, house made ketchup! That said, we’re all new at some point and he was very kind, so it didn’t put a dent in our overall experience and my 5-star rating for Giulia.
If you visit for brunch, definitely try the house made sausage and ask for their spicy ketchup on the side!
(Don’t be thrown off by the empty bar photo. I took that early in the morning long before the restaurant opened for the day.)

Glad they're reopened for lunch. Good quiet location for a business lunch.
