Reviews of Ceviche seafood house

When I saw the pictures of the food I was damn, that looks bomb, but does it taste as good as it looks? The answer is, it does! Food was delicious and unique flavors. I love their octopus and seafood fried rice. This place is a good date night, anniversary, or celebratory meal. Service was great too.

I had an amazing meal here at ceviche seafood house!! I have never really had Peruvian food, and it was all amazing, so flavorful! I tried the Pisco Peruvian sour punch, crispy wasabi prawns, the grilled octopus, the seafood rice, the Lomo Saltado, and the cheese ball. The ambience is really cozy on the inside. It's quiet, it's spacious and there's plenty of parking and it's very easy to get to. I'll be owner is so nice and our waiter was awesome. I highly recommend the spot for a date night or if you're looking to try a new restaurant.

Good atmosphere, food was great, but portions should be bigger for the price (especially for the ceviche). Happy to have a new dining option in Plymouth.

Took my Peruvian family there to try this new place. Some dishes were decent. Others lacked true Peruvian flavors. Way too expensive for what you get. Has potential if run by people who knew authentic Peruvian recipes. Would love to see it succeed though after some changes!

Everything was amazing! The food is delicious, every dish I tried I loved. Glad to have this new restaurant open in Plymouth!

Friendly employees and being so new it was easy to get in on a weekday. We tried a few items on the menu and particularly enjoyed the Prawns Causa and Grilled Octopus!

We (3 people in our party) visited Ceviche yesterday 1/25/23. Thought the portion sizes were too small for the price. We ordered a Ceviche Trio and it was 3 small containers with Ceviche- each may have had 2 table spoons of fish/corn/onions. I understand it's an appetizer but thought it was over priced for what we got. (About $50)
The main entrees were ok. Ordered Jalea, Pulpo and Pollo a la brasa (This last one lacked flavor). The dishes didn't meet my expectations as far as flavor goes. And definitely a little over priced for what you get. It does have good service and great ambiance.

Pricey, but really good ceviche. Finally an authentic Peruvian restaurant in MN. Lomo saltado can use more sauce especially to mix in with the rice, but the fillet was very tender

Came for the Lomo Saltado, flavor was on point and delicious. Just wish the portion size was larger for that price.

Enjoyed the elegant tranquil atmosphere, the food was pricey with small portion, a little disappointed in that particular area , other then that everything else was good

Great hostess but unsatisfactory service. Different serving etiquette, maybe.
Kathleen Schneibel
Very tasty, just not enough heat so be sure to ask for the rojo sauce

Pretty surprised there is a new restaurant here. The inside is pretty nice, The food... I would say they tried to make it look nice, but need more effort on the taste. Probably a bit more expensive than it should be.

One of the best seafood restaurants in Minnesota! Peruvian comfort food alongside extremely high-quality sushi options. This has got to be the freshest seafood anywhere in the metro. Try the Octopus!!

Great service. Need to work on their value proposition. The other reviews mention that you don't get a lot of food for the price, and even armed with that knowledge I was still disappointed when my food arrived. I got the classic ceviche, which was good, but if the main dish is that expensive to make, I would recommend padding the meal somehow so people don't feel ripped off. Just throw in a tub of white rice or something.

Ceviche is hands down one of the best seafood places I've been to in the Midwest!
I'm so glad I got to check this place out, because it is now easily in my top 10 restaurants in Minnesota. It’s a brand new, modern seafood house in Plymouth, MN that boasts a menu with both Japanese and Peruvian dishes. The seafood was impeccably fresh, perfectly cooked, and tender, which can be hard to find in a land-locked state like Minnesota. I was honestly blown away by nearly everything we tasted.
With 4 ceviches to try from, an arrangement of classic and bold Peruvian dishes, a rapidly-expanding sushi menu, and much more, all of your friends and family will love this place.
Here were our favorites things (which is basically everything we ordered lol)
GRILLED OCTOPUS:
Okay so... I literally thought I hated octopus before trying this. But THIS... this octopus was so freaking tender (peep the slice in the video), with absolutely no game-y or fishy taste. Knocked my socks off. Crazy.
Delectable.
CEVICHE AJI AMARILLO
The "middle-spice" ceviche. Again, this freshness was insaneeee. Absolutely no fishy taste-only tender pieces of white fish, mixed seafood, onions, tiger milk, and more fresh toppings. It's really a breath of fresh air to find seafood this good.
LOMO SALTADO:
Although it isn't a seafood dish, this one took first place for me. Lomo saltado is a popular, traditional Peruvian dish that combines marinated pieces of filet mignon, tomatoes, fried potatoes, and onions.

Amazing food and service! Perfect place to eat out for special occasions. Love it.

Let me tell y’all something, I never thought a restaurant can pull off a Peruvian ceviche and this dish be hittin different like for real, like it’s fireeee and I love it. I’m not old enough to drink yet but my mom tried the pisco sour and pisco punch and she really liked it. But like I said, their food be hitting different, it like on top of my list of favorite foods not gonna lie💅🏻🤤

Didn't try the ceviche, so can't speak to that; but since this is labeled a Peruvian restaurant, the rest of their peruvian options should be considered just as important.
We went on opening day, which was a bit of a blunder for them. We gave it another try and they've fixed some things since. As a Peruvian having been to plenty of peruvian restaurants in the US and Canada, I have a hard time recommending this one.
1) There is too much focus on the atmosphere and presentation than the actual food. The food is, as the owner said to us, americanized. Tasty, sure, but definitely not peruvian (the chaufa tasted nothing like peruvian fried rice). Based on taste and value, I'd only go back for the half pollo a la brasa, which brings me to my next point.
2) Their prices should keep them in business: For instance, Los Andes in Minneapolis gives you twice the portion of jalea for the same price. Their items are incredibly overpriced. Upscale peruvian restaurants at least serve you a lot when they charge a lot.
Didn't try any sushi, as there are plenty of sushi options around town. Didn't give the service 5 stars because the servers didn't know the menu/cuisine very well (again, nice place but missed the mark on the whole being peruvian thing).
Despite the demand, the twin cities still lack a dedicated peruvian option. Peruvian restaurants should make you feel full after leaving, not broke. Unless you want purely a high end dining experience, you're better off going elsewhere if you're looking for a speciality South American food place

Food are delicious! Music + decor + service = great vibes. We’ll definitely come back again!

Seafood is fresh and tasty. We ordered one paella to go too. Yummmy!

Hands down the best Peruvian food in the area!! Food was excellent, service was awesome and right on point. The place is beautifully decorated and creates a unique vibe. Highly recommend going with friends/family or having a date night if you’re around.

This is our second time back. Our first time was questionable at best. However, we gave it another try, and I will say they have really stepped up their game! The seafood rice was excellent! A combination of seasoned rice, shrimp, scallops on the shell, and the squid was on par with some of the best Peruvian restaurants I have visited. My kids loved the Alpaca sushi Rolls as well. Apparently, they have hired a veteran Peruvian chef who specializes in Ceviche. You can definitely tell the difference.
