Reviews of Blue Door Pub Longfellow

The food was delicious, especially their tater tots! I’ve also never tried peanut butter on a burger before but it makes sense why it’s so popular. I definitely recommend trying it at least once! The double clucker is huge too! The place itself was well decorated and the service was kind and quick too.

My friends and I went to a couple spots for Juicy Lucy's and I definitely think this was the better spot of the two. Was very impressed with the options they had, just how cheesy these juicy lucy's were, and the flavors of the burgers. Overall, they were delicious. We also ordered a side of the cheese curds since they're made fresh at the restaurant and those were just remarkable. Unbelievably cheesy with insane cheese stretch.

Friendly as soon as you walk in. Kept communication open until we were seated 15 mins later. Ordering process was easy since you have to do it through your phone. Once food came out maybe 15 mins after ordering. I couldn't stop eating. We had the cheese curds (AMAZING). The Buffalo wings (EXTRA AMAZING) and the Baked & Loaded juicy Lucy. (EVEN MORE AMAZING). We sat a a booth where the wall was a chalk board and our 22 month old loved drawing. Definitely no complaints at all. It's a must try!

Great atmosphere here at the Blue Door, along with the service, food and beer! We happily waited our turn for a small booth in the bar drinking tasty local beers. I can highly recommend the Hot Mother Clucker chicken sandwich with B&B pickles, lettuce and garlic aioli. My hubby had the Frogtown wings. Lagunitas Hazy Wonder IPA was refreshing on this cold snowy winter night. Scanning a QR code to order and pay our tab at the table was very convenient. Host person took good car of us, as did the rest of the house. We parked in the street and walked 3 blocks to Riverview Theater for a 9pm show. Awesome night out. They serve Heinz ketchup.

Blue Door Pub is a Twin Cities establishment. It’s got a great atmosphere in the evenings. We went for dinner and there were several couples, several families with young kids and a few people eating at the bar.
We ordered the deep fried cauliflower, the Hot Motherclucker and the Bacon Blucy. The Hot Motherclucker is a delicious Nashville hot chicken style sandwich. The bacon Blucy is a wonderful blue cheese stuffed bacon burger.
The fried cauliflower was not good. Even right out of the kitchen the cheese was a little to thick to easily dip the cauliflower without it disintegrating. The cauliflower, while it had a crispy fried breading, was just a mushy blob in the middle. The flavor of the queso was good but the cauliflower didn’t really add anything special to the dish. It was just bland. The only redemption of the dish was that the queso was good with my tots.

A neighborhood gem! Menu is big on burgers and chicken sandwiches, with a variety of enticing flavors within those categories. The only thing I wished for was a better bun. Unremarkable bread stands out because all the other elements of the food are so good.
The service is still attentive and knowledgeable; don't be dissuaded by the online table ordering via Toast. I find it helps speed your food to you.

Great food and friendly service! We love the Mount Blucovious burger 🍔🤤

You can’t go wrong with burgers, beer, TVs and the best cheese curds (light tempura-like breading) in a local neighborhood hangout. Atmosphere is relaxed. People are having a good time. It’s the way it should be.

Fries tasted burnt. I should of gotten the taters. My group was raving about the taters. Service was OK. We had a large group and was only checked on once. Seems like a great place just to be with friends and not necessarily for the food.

Blue Door isn't the only place to get a Juicy Lucy, but it's the only place you should. Believe me when I tell you they have absolutely mastered the recipe for the Juicy. Not only that, the variety they have is incredible. Highly, highly recommend.

Blue Door offers many great burgers including multiple flavors of Blucy which is their version of the Minnesota Classic Jucy Lucy which is a stuffed burger. Their selection of Blucy's range from simple to extreme. I love the Cease and Desist. They also serve other common bar foods like regular cheese burgers and chicken sandwiches. Their Totchos (nachos where you replace the chips with tots) are always delicious and the unique flavors they come up with are gold! They are also known for their wings with a wide selection of flavors. They constantly add new flavors of the moment making it easy to try something new every time you visit. Don't forget to round out your meal with a beer or two from their tap beer list. You'll find a great selection of both local breweries and those from around the USA.

Oh my goodness. This place is amazing! Best cheese curds I’ve ever had (and I live in Wisconsin! Shhh… don’t tell!) The burgers and blucys are amazing, so are the fries, but OMG the gravy they had with my burger is INCREDIBLE. Reminded me of my grandmas’s. Really sweet server, too. Thank you guys!!
Angie M
Great spot for pub food! Always happy with the wings & burgers! Cheese curds are tasty too. Normal pub atmosphere (a little louder). Service could use a little boost (host not friendly, slow to refill drinks) but overall still a good spot!
John Melich
It's been a minute since I've been to a Blue Door, but I was happy with my visit. Beer selection was good as expected and everyone (party of 6) enjoyed their burgers. I ordered one of their limited time specials and loved it. I would recommend looking at the specials because once it's gone out may not be back. The dry rub mix I got on my tots was a bit to sweet for me. It was supposed to be smokey (which it was) but it had too much sweetness for my taste.

Boomer alert.
What seemed previously to be an amazing neighborhood spot now feels like an autonomous GrubHub experience in someone else’s home. Someone who doesn’t want you there.
I have a difficult time envisioning ever returning.
RIP Blue Door St. Paul.
Ali
Best booths for families with young kids because of the wide seating and chalk boards. Staff is very friendly. Food is Blue Door caliber!
Emmy Kegler
We LOVE the Longfellow burger and the Ol' Wise tots are absolutely incredible. This is our go-to burger place after trying lots of other locales 😁
Michael Freeman
extremely friendly staff. it was like a well-oiled machine maybe it was all the great fry oil goods here. Love the attitude it was all good positive attitude I felt very cared for and attended to the whole time.
Meighan McGuire
I love having this place in the neighborhood, food is fantastic. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is sometimes when you go, if busy you can’t even talk to the person next to you. If you don’t mind high volume noise, hit this place because the food will not disappoint.
Nance B.
I stopped in with the homeowners kids cuz they were celebrating my bday with me. Hit this place at lunch time and had about a 3 minute wait. So far so good. Sat down all excited because I have been wanting to come here forever. I don't like to eat by myself, so I won't go alone and being a transplant to the twin cities I don't have friends. (sigh) Okay! On with the show...
The place is got alot of wood like everything is made of wood... high paneled booths which was good since it was quiet a lively bunch for lunch there. It was clean and the waitress, Sarah I think forgive me if I am wrong ....was super sweet and quick to the table. A round of beverages and placed the order. 1 classic burger minus pickles w/fries. One full order of fries. And 1 Islander? Memory fades me but its the best thing I ever had. OMG!!!!!
The burgers were moist, not greasy and bigger than I thought, the cheese just oozed out of them. Mine had a spicy kick to it I really cant tell you what cheese or seasonings were on it but the waitress sold me when she said it had pulled pork and pinneapple on top and was her choice between the 2 I was debating. Great suggestion and great service. There was an ample amount of fries in one order for 3 people. No need for all to order fries. This was so worth the wait to go to.
I am definately going back.
Tommy Van Wylen
This place has it all. The burgers, wings, tater tots, beer selection, and happy hour special are all top notch. The Frogtown wings are my favorite item on the menu so I’d recommend that if I had to choose one thing.
Kathy Shoemaker
Excellent food, service was good. Different experience ordering by qr code but everything arrived quickly and had no problems. Had fun playing trivia!
Corey Butler
Not as good as I remember when I used to go to the Saint Paul location a few years back. The burgers lacked seasoning and the Totchos were buried in too much lettuce. Prices are reasonable though.
Ryan Mahoney
I'm glad our family stopped by here after visiting the falls. We had the nacho tatchos for an app and it was as delicious as it sounds. I had the horsekicker burger and my wife had the Longfellow burger. Both of those were better than we thought.
If you're in the neighborhood, you need to stop by. Everything on the menu looked amazing. You won't go home hungry!
Rick Komas (TinyStudio)
Went in craving a burger and found a serving of grilled, cheese stuffed heaven. Pleasant selection of craft beers to satisfy most palates.
Liz Erickson Monson
If there’s one restaurant to get take-out from and make sure it survives the global pandemic, this is it. I only ordered from their main burger menu the first 10 years they were open (which is a solid list), and have branched out since then. This is leftovers from the black bean burger, amazing even the next day. Other menu items that are crave-worthy:
Hella-totchos—loaded nachos with tater-tots as the base.
Any of their wings
Mother clucker sandwich
Latin kisses
You really can’t go wrong here. Also, when the restaurant is actually open, they have a great lineup of local beer on tap.
T Freeman
Place you order online walk up & get your food the fries were good my burger didn't have much if any cheese pour out the center burger taste decent though
Nancy R
Napoleon Dynamite would love the tots....especially the cajun tots. The Cease and Desist is my favorite burger with special sauce. The buffalo boneless wings are amazing with a nice heat.
Matthew Jensen
Tater tots were killer. Everything was tasty and reasonably priced. That said, it all sat in me like a brick. If "healthy" is not overly important and you want a burger filled with molten cheese, this is a solid place to eat.
Lauren Aust
You can’t go wrong with any burger on this menu. The Longfellow is excellent. Switch out fries to fried green beans. Indeed’s Mexican Honey is a good pairing as well. 4 stars because it was a 45 min wait.
Benjamin Kornelis
Great food, friendly service. Not a fan of the QR code-only menu/ordering - seems that the wait staff is less attentive than when they're taking your order and following up
Melanie Blazar
This was a pretty good restaurant. A bit expensive, but the burgers were good, not the best in the cities, however. The cheese curds were really good! The waitresses were very nice. The service was fast.
Bill Thompson
The top sirloin at the restaurant and the view by the window were excellent. The food tasted like it was prepared by a talented chef.
Christopher Villegas
I don’t really like tater tot’s but the Tater Tots with the Frogtown sauce……I ate the entire basket!!!!! And the Hot Mother Clucker is delicious!!!!
Kelvin Simms
Great food and professional staff. The dining area and bar have varied seating that is good for a variety of groups and meetups. Though known for their burgers, they also have healthy options for those who want it. Though screens aren't everywhere, you can definitely see a sports game if you want to keep up while you eat. Parking can get difficult during snowy busy times.
Victor Cole
It's just good! I like it. Deep fried beans and in-house handcut fries... with mayo and garlic aioli!!! ALL THE BURGERS.
Desiree
Had to park a bit down the street - free street parking. 10 min wait at 545pm on Saturday. Solid service. Order at your table using your phone and pay - splits the check based on who orders what from their phone. Service is wicked fast ordering a drink online or your food - careful it comes out HOT!!! Delicious deep fried pickles, goat cheese and jam burger, and hickory tots! All food was delicious!
Erin McCabe
The Minneapolis location is farther for me but worth the drive. Typically, there is better parking and always more places to sit. You can't go wrong witht the Blucy's. I got the Islander with cajun tots. GET THE FLAVORED TOTS. If you don't, I will be thoroughly disappointed. Both locations have great food and fantastic staff. Oh and hey, there's beer that's local. See you again when I need my Blue Door fix!!
Rebecca Darling
Um, absolutely delicious, kind/quick service, great burgers, cold beer, and lots of interesting stuff to look at whilst you eat.
Jason Rodahl
Great food overall. The 'Blucy" my wife ordered was tasty, the fried pickles were perfect, and my wing sauces were solid. Loses a star for my chicken eating dry and the menus being pretty dirty. I don't expect a bar to be spotless, but some things were just noticeably splattered or sticky.
A K
Short wait for some amazing food! Service was fast & friendly! Very impressed with servers teamwork! Food is excellent, visually attractive & tastes absolutely amazing!
Mark Gonzales
Burgers, Chicken sandwiches, blucy's were amazing! Service was outstanding as well. 1st timers and we'll definitely be back.
Keith White
Solid, delicious Jucy Lucy burgers, each with a special twist. Mine tonight was the Cease & Desist with white and yellow cheese. Yum! Expect a wait most nights unless you arrive early.
Lee Troska
I've been coming here ever since they opened. Miss the weekend happy hours but still manage to find my way there when I can. Very friendly and cheerful staff.
Alexander Tien
Amazing little place. Their burgers are the stuff of dreams, and it’s reasonably priced as well. The wings are also stupid good. Great place to grab dinner!
Victor Koenig
fabulous food... great service awesome atmosphere... what more is there to say
Marcelle Jordan
Love this place so much. Great tap selections and fried green beans are my favorite.
Leslie Baker
Our first Juicy Lucy burgers and they did not disappoint. The American sauce was a little over abundant, I'll just get it on the side next time. French fries were enough to share and good.
Ayla carpenter
I was happy to see vaccination cards checked at the door when you walk in ordering food was via scanning a ring code and if you have difficulty with this, they have a tablet with the electronic menu to order from. The staff was friendly, the service was fast and the food was delicious. My husband and I both ordered the Frenchy Sandwich which was a hamburger stuffed with Swiss cheese and carmelized onions. We split an enormous order of fries and still took home the equivalent to what we had already eaten. Definitely try the Ranch dipping sauce for the fries, it was fabulous as was the food.
John LaPres
This is my go to wing place around this area. Staff is always friendly and the food is always pretty good. In a quiet neighborhood and they only sell beer (only saying this cause a Bloody Mary sounded perfect). I know it’s some ordinance. Nice place.
Jason
Known for their cheese stuffed burgers, but don't look over the totchos or a build your own burger. Always a great beer selection and a fantastic early happy hour if you can make it for it.
Jared Jones
One of my favorite spots in the city for sure. While I can't attest to who actually invented the Juicy Lucy, they make plenty of them that are very delicious. I appreciate the menu that has about a dozen different Lucy's with varying flavors and of course the Blucy of the month as well. Other menu options are solid such as wings, fries with the house seasonings, tots, jalapeno poppers and more (though I wish they had onion rings). Beer selection is good, mostly local with some out of town stuff too. They've also upped their outdoor area too. Very good choice if you're in the area or want a stuffed burger.
Andrew Brown
Had a really good experience.
Had ordered takeout and it was ready at the bar when I arrived. Unfortunately, the bartender dropped one of the orders. She immediately apologized, had the order remade, took it off the bill, and offered me a beer while I waited.
Any business can be great when everything runs as it should, but the real character is revealed when operating under adversity. Bravo, Blue Door!
Joe Perrone
Great food, and the staff was very friendly! Will go back again.
Lola Baby T.V.
I went there and I had the wings they were delicious. Sweet chilIe lime wings. With chunky blue cheese and a cold beer. will be going back again and they have wonderful customer service. Good people cool place.
Deonna Perez-Evans
Service was excellent and the food was good. The restaurant is really loud as it echoes so hard to have good conversation.
Gary S
Really enjoyed the Blue Door Pub. I was really impressed with their ordering process inside the restaurant. They explained things to us, helped us order and LITERALLY the food and drinks showed up within minutes. The burger was simply delicious. I am going back this weekend.
Ryan D. Matzner
The original Blucy is excellent. Best juicy-Lucy style burger I’ve had.
Chris Roden
Cheese curds are the best I've had yet! Service is gray and the juicy Lucy is excellent.
PolythPam
Tasty takes on a Minneapolis classic. Deep fried pickles are so damn good.
John Cannon (Jc)
Hard seats, cold building had keep coats on and took forever to use app to order food and drinks that didn’t work.. slow service service from waitress who didn’t do much. Won’t go back.
Samuel Hagen
Great burgers and wings! Only wish they had a habanero wing sauce or something hotter than bbq.
Jason Moughton
Great food. Super chill atmosphere. Loved this place for a quick bite on our road trip.
Brandi Jones
I find it pretty hard to give restaurant reviews 5 stars however this place totally deserves it. We had fried green beans, delightful. The burgers are mouthwatering, I had the blucy with goat cheese, blackberry sauce and added a fried egg. The flavors were very complimentary of each other, you could taste everything nothing was muddled together. And the fries, they were in a smoked brown sugar dry rub. Nothing I’ve experienced before and I’m. It sure regular fries will cut it now. It’s totally worth going back.
Matthew H.
Fantastic food! All the ordering for food and drinks is done by phone and it's actually really great. When you're ready for a new drink, you just enter it in and boom somebody shows up with it. No flagging down a waitress for the ticket either. Wrapped it all up by phone. We spent a couple of hours laughing and kicked back in this comfy corner place. Highly recommended!
Sandy Kimlinger
Great burgers but they make it really hard to order!
Heather K
This spot definitely is not what it used to be. You scan the QR code and order everything at the table. The nuggets came out over-dressed, we ordered a burger with bacon on it, didn't get any bacon, there was barely any cheese inside the burger, fries were not much to rave about. None of this is an issue, except for no one came by to ask us if we needed anything or to see how things were after our food was dropped off. Leading us to having a not so pleasant experience, especially for the price point. Probably will not be returning to this one.
Brice Larson
The food was great. Just do care to have to order your food from your phone. Do we really need to be on are phone more than we do.
Taryn Sims
The Blue Door is great for those late night bar food cravings! Juicy burgers, great apps, low-key atmosphere. The dining experience is a little different due to COVID - you place your order from your phone and also pay online. It’s a little harder to get ahold of the servers just because they’re not frequently at your table, but it’s not too bad. It took me awhile to get a water refill. The food came out very quickly and was hot and delicious.
I had the cease & desist burger with added onions. SO GOOD. Lots of veggies and gooey cheese. My husband had the classic burger and really enjoyed it. We also tried the Nacho Tachos, which were a great deal on Happy Hour (around $5.50). I don’t think I’d pay the normal $10 for them, but it was well worth it with the discount.
All in all, great place if you need a burger fix!
Douglas Wallin
Was visiting Minneapolis for a friend's wedding and he said we were going to this place for burgers. I went and had a Bacon Blucy and it was great. The fries that came with it were also tops.
I also had a "Dad's root beer" which was nice
Mackenzee Pierog
I enjoy the rotating mix of craft beers they bring in. The Cease & Desist is a great go-to burger and the Longfellow is a fun try if you like goat cheese! At the very least, I’d recommend trying a plate of the deep fried green beans, most people who say they don’t like beans end up finishing the basket.
Elijah Steinbauer
Lunch was good. I didn't see a gluten free option for hamburger buns on their online menu. The burger was still really good. I also really liked the nacho totchos. Cute pub with some high back booths.
Carson Barger
Food was good, really only had appetizers but the curds were out of this world! Portions were crazy big too which was nice!
Cons were, if you're going to have guests order through the QR codes, please make sure the connection in the restaurant actually enables us to do it in a timely manner without worry that we can load it. I'd rather do QR and online ordering for the safety of the staff esp. during COVID, but it was annoying with all the waiting i had to do just to order a drink.
Bill Hackett
Fun place with a friend. Great time reconnecting, and good food and beer!
Kimberly Sandbulte
Food was great and service was also awesome. Creative burgers will keep us coming back. The typical burger joint sides, but elevated with good ingredients prepared well. Delicious crispy fried treats! I only deducted one star because the online ordering system wasn't very straightforward. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could!
Becky Lily
Delicious juicy burgers, beer battered onion rings or green beans, nacho tots but my favorite of all Latin Kisses, great beer and wine selection too
Nate Rock
This is one of my favorite burger places in the twin cities area. I always hit up one of locations when I am back to visit.
Erik Kruse
Friendly service, great burgers and very quick ordering through the QR code from our table. Just hope this doesn't mean servers aren't still making the money they should.... But we loved this place and the atmosphere was chill. Looking forward to another visit and some more delicious food.
Patrick Sutlief
Had a burger and Coke. I am old so QR code menus still baffle me, but the wait staff were really helpful. Good burger, bbq sauce was pretty tasty with just a hint of spice.
Patrick O'Connor
Absolutely astonishing!! We arrived 1 hr before close, and we’re seated and walked through their online ordering process. Amazing, simply order anything you want exactly how you want it, when ever you want it, it is FAST. I hit submit order and got my beer within 1 minute, app within 7 minutes and served at about 15 minutes. Great service, great food and many options and substitutions! I will be exploring this menu further.
Peter Kistler
Blue Door has embraced an unusual new platform where ordering and paying is done entirely on your phone. This caused lots of confusion among my party of 3, although waitstaff was very helpful and patient with us.
My chicken sandwich wasn't very good. It was too heavily fried and impossible to eat with clean hands. Would have appreciated a non-fried option for sides as well.
Frank Janik
This place is a staple of the neighborhood, solid tots, great select of beers. I'm told the burgers are fantastic as well.
But oh wow, they are doing a fish fry right now and it is amazing. This is some of the best fried fish that I've had in a long time! I really hope they decide to make this a regular menu item. Please keep the fish!
Only negative I can think of is that the acoustics could be better. When it's busy (most of the time) it can be a little hard to carry on a conversation. They could use some sound deadening panels or something.
Kat Sodawasser
HIGHLY recommend! We just visited Minnesota for a few days from out of town and this was our favorite restaurant we had throughout the trip. We tried the Baked and Loaded Blucy with Cajun Tots and the Bacon cheeseburger Blucy “Jiffy” style with the bandit tots and it was one of the best burgers we’ve ever had! Also, we really liked being able to pull up the menu and order our food all from our phone. Very convenient and good, quick service.
William Wight
Other than parking being a little hard to find, the process of picking up the food to go could not be easier! Fried pickles and cheese curds were amazing. I also got their Blucy with tots. Had amazing flavor and the tots complimented the burger well!
Will definitely be coming back again!

This is an okay spot. You can tell that it's pretty popular as there were lots of young vibrant people there when I went. I waited about 15 mins to be seated. The host was nice and we were offered a drink menu while waiting, so that was nice. The one thing that I didn't like about this place and the main reason for the 3 star rating, is their food ordering system. You have to use your smartphone to scan a QR code to access their menu and order food. The idea of that is cool and kind of a smart business move on THIER part, but as a professional diner and someone who appreciates the "old school" or traditional dining experience, I didn't like that at all. It feels as though that idea benefits them way more than the diners. Although the staff were very friendly, it felt as though they wanted nothing to do with us. And because this way of ordering is newer, my BFF and I sat at our table for like 15 mins trying to figure it all out. Once we did, our food/drinks came at different times and they were being served by random staff. Because of this, I think this restaurant limits itself to a specific type of crowd. If my parents wanted to dine there they couldn't bc of their ordering system. If my phone was dead, I can't go there bc of their ordering system, if my camera didn't work I can't go there bc of their ordering system, if my phone was not a phone that scanned QR codes, guess what? I can't go there, bc of their ordering system. 🤷🏾♀️ I can see that they've clearly made a statement without making a statement. "Do not come here if you do not know how to use a smartphone and/or expect a traditional dining experience, because we're not that." I think it would be better if, they could perhaps add a few tables where there are ATCUAL servers who take orders. Other than that, the food was good, the place was clean, and there were lots of beers to choose from! I also liked the vibe of the restaurant, it was a perfect spot [for my BFF and I] to talk, chill, and eat food! 🍴
Debra B.
I didn't like having to order on my phone, I'd much rather have a menu!
Tim MacMurdo
Amazing innovative burgers and a great selection of local craft beers. Don't settle for an average night out. This place is boisterous and the wait is long to get seated, but the food is among the best of the best for a craft experience. The menu changes regularly so make sure to check what their specialty for the month is before you go. I've had my heart broken when the changes the menu and I was not paying attention.
Emanuel Sas
I love this restaurant. Their burgers are phenomenal!!! Also have a nice choice of beers. I really like the Left Handed Milk Stout they have there. Deep fried green beans were interesting and delicious ... never had that before. And a review of this place wouldn't be complete without mentioning the Totchos - nachos made with tater-tots. Absolutely AMAZING! Their booths also have chalkboards that you can draw on so that's nice to have to entertain our little kids when we go there. Service is good and staff has always been friendly.

Update:
Jan 2019
Tim is killing the game with Bar hospitality. Made me feel welcome right when I sat at the Bar, and was checking with me as soon as I sat down. Made some amazing recommendations for food based off of some quick questions he asked. I ended up ordering the wings because I had already had most of the burgers, based off of this recommendation. The wings were amazing! Good flavor in their dry rubs, and I got the "Scary Buffalo" Sauce on the side which if you like heat, I would say is a must have (on the side). Overall a great night when I just stopped in to "grab a quick bite"... Impressed yet again.
Feb 2018
Absolutely amazing food. Hands down, one of the top Burgers in Minneapolis, and I would go as far as to to say some of the top in the Midwest. I travel quite a bit, and have tried burgers all over, and will always return here when I am in the area. Also awesome beer specials! This is a must visit for anyone passing through, and an instant go to for anyone local.
Bobby James
Great burgers. I am huge fan of tater tots so I always ask for tots instead of fries. Crispy outside and soft inside. Awesome tots! Their burgers are always great and tasty. Great beer selection as well. This is a very popular place and can be very busy. I recommend going earlier, or being willing to wait. But I can say, the wait is worth it!
Robert Hain
Blue Door - Longfellow is a part of a small chain of pubs that has managed to maintain the atmosphere of a neighborhood place. It can get crowded, but, post pandemic, it has been easy to find spaced seating if you go early on a weekday.
They have a limited menu but it is all good -- especially the Bluecy, Blue Doors version of the Jucy Lucy (different spellings exist). I also want to mention the Chicken Wings....hmmmmm!
Joseph Cermak
A great local bar with some of the best wings I've had, and a unique variety of wing styles and sauces. A great selection of craft beer on draft too!
Laura Ryan
Normally LOVE this place. Great burgers youd never get elsewhere very unique flavor combos. We went for happy hour, great deals on beers, $3 $4 taps, and good kinds. Also apps are good deals too. But both of our burgers this time were not good. I think they could have been better, the flavor combos sounded so yummy, but they just were overdone. Just disappointing bc I'm used to so much better here. Might have been a new or inexperienced cook. Wed still come back for the wings and beers and other apps though!
Danielle Roberts
Today, I ate the Blucy and it did not disappoint. I should of taken a pic but it was gone before I knew it lol. Handcut hit fries yum what more can I say great service! Great experience thank you.
Anna Bengtson
Good burgers and the servers were very friendly!
Sara Lai
Their burger did not disappoint. Space is spread out and I feel safe coming in. They have a QR CODE menu that's attached to your table. So bring a phone! Also their beer selection is good and its like $3 off taps an hour before close. :P
I had a special BLucy that had cornbeef for St pattys, was so amazing that I forgot to take a picture!!! D:
Nora Bateman
Best tots in town- always hot, fresh, and crispy. Portions are very generous- I always end up eating way more tots than I should, but that's on me. Burgers are delicious and beer selection is decent. Overall, a great neighborhood spot!

Great menu! Wish I'd had more room and time to eat more but great for a quick bite! The wings are super tasty and lots of flavors to try! They let you do 1/2 1/2 flavors and bone in or out blend so that's a plus! Good selection of drinks! No booze tho. Fun atmosphere! Wish they had a patio!! Stephen helped us she was beyond wonderful!
Robert S
A local brought us here, been now twice. Might just be the novelty of a place I'm not used to but I found the food to be really amazing. The burgers are perfectly made and tasty, love the tots, and really love the cheese curds. Good selection of local beers, great place for a weekend lunch stop.
Steven Schreck
I’ve been here four or five times since moving to Minneapolis. The cheese curds are terrific for an appetizer and The burgers and wings are Prepared expertly. If you order the tatortots be sure you have someone to split them with! (They give you a huge plate of them). Overall a nice spot with a quiet atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!
Graham Slover
Having been told by Google that this is a good place, I decided to try it out today. Service was swift and the atmosphere was good. The food was also quite tasty. My only complaint would be that the bacon was a bit Too thick. I had to really chomp down hard at some points to get through a slice of bacon.
All in all, BlueDoor Pub is a nice place. However, I wish they would have asked how I wanted my burger. It was cooked through, but thankfully not dry.
Would go again. 4.5 stars.
Susan Armitage
I love coming here! Although the last two times here the food quality seems to have slipped a bit. The 'medium' burger temp was definitely more on the raw side. I could not eat them. By the time the waitress got back to check on us everyone else was almost done eating so i just took it home to reheat. There is always a line to get seated, typically 45 minutes or so.
David Segers
Very good burgers and fries are good also fresh cut.
Seth Slettedahl
The food was amazing. We got wings and totchos. The wings were perfectly cooked and they allowed us to get a combination of boneless and traditional in a couple sauces. Service at lunchtime was great. Beer selection was local and delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
John Smith
I absolutely love the blue door! I am huge fan of the Selby location and have never once had any issue there in the 100 times I’ve got food there to go or dine in. Highly recommend! But over the years the Longfellow location has left me feeling a little disappointed on several locations. Ive only experienced honest little mix ups but the volume of them can be irritating. They are always happy to fix your order if they have made a mistake it is worthy to note but it’s not always great waiting for the right order while some of the food gets cold or watching your friends eat while you wait or having to drive all the way back. I will continue to eat there but just be sure to check your order before leaving!
Jeremy W
Very good burgers, solid beer list. Usually not too long of a wait. Service is pretty average and that is just fine. Only for out of five stars because I feel like everything is just a little bit better at the other locations.
Timothy Lawrence
Awesome blucys and a great selection of beer on tap. The staff was friendly and attentive. Blue Door Pub is always a great experience and I highly recommend going for a fantastic burger!
James Kane
Always enjoy this great burger joint. Don't be fooled by the competition in the area--these folks know how to do the Juicy Lucy the right way, and with many variations. Excellent tap beer selection, and their sides like fried green beans and specially tater tots are second to none.
Linda Lillard
First restaurant I've been in, in over a year. Ordered off the bar code, had the fish fry and it was great! Minimal contact with server's (felt safe) good social distancing, everyone masked as were the patrons unless seated and eating!
Ian Hrabe
Still my go-to place for a Jucy Lucy in the Twin Cities. Try the fried green beans and make sure to get the Cajun fries!
Matt Hallacy
This is a solid local bar. Their food has a lot of variety without being pretentious. My beer drinking friends really enjoy the selection here, I personally wish they had a full liquor license but it's tough in this neighborhood.
Definitely try out their cheese stuffed burger patties, you won't be disappointed.
Mike Spanjar
Ultra casual dining. Service left a lot to be desired. Burgers were just okay. My first Juicy Lucy, and I guess I expected more. Fried green beans were very greasy. Don't have to go back.
shawn Severson
Best stuffed burgers...they took the original juicy lucy's from the 5...and M....and turned it inside out. Great food great staff. Hands down best juicy menu anywhere! Get out of your comfort zone and try something different.
Kate L
I've had mixed experiences at Blue Door. Their menu is pretty decent, and I love the dry rub wings and tots, but the burgers are inconsistent. I've asked for MR and received WD or MW on more than one occasion. Service is generally good, though, and they have a decent beer list and happy hour (though the prices used to be better).
Dan Lipa
Blue Door has great food, and the staff at this location are friendly as well. It's nice that this location is larger than the Merriam location so there is less of a wait, but it sucks that they don't have the exclusive Merriam burger. My wife had the Longfelllow though, and said it was good.
Dayne Zuest
Service was kinda slow for a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't full. Great craft beer selection. Juicy Lucy's were good, but not the best I've had. Really liked their Cheese curds. Wanted to try it and I would go back if I was in the area, but wouldn't consider it a must go to place if I had to drive too far to get there.
Kayla Koen
First of all the host was gorgeous. And he was able to seat us fairly quickly. It was really busy but we got a seat within 10 mins. Also their food is to die for. I got the loaded and baked burger. With tots. Big portions. Their fried pickles are bomb too. I definitely recommend.
Skogstad Blattaria
Great neighborhood pub with great pub food- literally next to houses. Until recently I lived two blocks from it, so spent a lot of time there. It can be SUPER busy during peak times- and they don't handle huge crowds the best, but still great. Most food is pretty fried, so if you don't have a gall bladder, there's not tons to eat. The tater tots are predictably great.
Lex Talionis
One of my favorite burger joints. This location is also my favorite Blue Door... It's got a good amount of space and it's in a pretty quiet residential neighborhood. Don't get fooled into buying upgrades like seasonings for your fries, which is definitely not worth it.
Jacob Hark
Great service and atmosphere. Beer battered rings and curds. Good beer. Good burgers. Burgers a little dry for my taste but still good. Buns and pickles legit. Had better burgers in town but if you are an out of towner still a must.
James Gabrielson
I love the Blue Door. I've been a fan since they first opened up near the St. Thomas St. Paul campus. Great burgers. Great beer selection. I've heard that they have other good entres but have never not ordered a burger. If you want to try a side that isnt a French fry or tater tot, the tempura green beans are an amazing option.
Rebecca Goldsberry (Becky)
I met up with friends and had a beer here. Seemed like a fine place. Didn't stay long enough to love it or hate it. The beer was good, the staff was nice. It was loud and not the best environment for conversation, but that was not the bar's fault. The person next to us ordered fried pickles, they looked REALLY good.
Chris L
Loud, but the burgers will bring you to your knees
Kathryn-Ann Cravillion
Absolutely delicious food, prepared quickly and always ready on time for pickup.
Fast and friendly staff.
Easy, safe, convenient takeout window.
Fairly easy street parking.
A takeout favorite!
Sara Naturally
It was My first time and it was really nice. The staff was super nice and the atmosphere was great. The prices were pretty low. It was a good Tuesday afternoon.
Bryan Cooper
Excellent burgers, good beer lineup, great atmosphere. More space than the St. Paul location, but there can still be a wait depending on the time you go. The wait is pretty much always worth it. Constantly changing menu specials as well, keep an eye on their media pages to see what's new.
Torleiv Flatebo
Very good burgers, great beer selection and excellent fried pickles. Definitely try the "cease and desist" burger, you won't regret it.
They have great and inventive specials all the time. Usually one for a burger, and another for wings or "totchos", which are tater tots nachos - these can be very good.
The space can be very loud, and the wait can be long to get a table during busy times. If you get there after 7:30 on a weekday you won't have to wait to get a table.
I have had Juicy Lucy's at all the local places, and this is my favorite. Another good combo is the "Bacon Blucy", get it "Cowboy Style" with extra BBQ and an onion ring. A burger stuffed with bacon is super yummy.
Eric Ellefson
I love it! Great happy hour beer deals and the burgers are fantastic. If you're not into need try the fish tacos. You won't regret it. Oh, and get an order of Cajun tots.
Nathaniel “Nate” Tower
Excellent food and service. The hamburgers are some of the best in the Twin Cities. It's always crowded, but the wait is never that long. It's bigger and "nicer" than the St. Paul location, but the food isn't quite as good. The burgers tend to be a little drier here (but still much better than most places).
Janet Hilbert
We thought this was "just" a bar and were pleasantly surprised to find it was a restaurant with a limited bar (just beer, wine, and cider). Tried the Blucy and it was well worth it! The pickles were also great. Service was excellent too, despite the place being jam packed. I'll certainly visit again when in the twin cities.
Timothy Riley
Their appetizers rival the best I have ever had and their burgers are excellent! The beer menu is okay, not great. The seating is rather limited, so during peak times it gets a little crowded. The patrons are usually the easy going type.
LeAnn Groth
Wonderful Neighborhood Place
Great food, welcoming environment, excellent drink selection. I had fish tacos while my dad had the all-you-can-eat fish and chips. Both meals were delicious. Arrive early, or at least don't arrive starving. The place is popular.
Jacob Messing
Great burgers! I am always impressed when I eat here not only by how good the food is but how fast they are ready for pickup. I love their fries and the staff is friendly and efficient.
Kellie Riley
Wow! The original Blucy and the Cajun were about the best burger my husband have ever had! Nice atmosphere. Fried green beans and onions rings were as great as the burger and almost as amazing as the house made sauces!! Beer selection is also a plus! We will be back.
Mathew
Good not great. The beer selection is vast, and they often have a local beer for $3.50. Happy hour was recently expanded, I believe it is now 3-5 on weekdays. The food is good, but a little pricey. If you're a vegetarian you will find one or two good options.
Laura Sudz
Great burgers and appetizers. They may not be the originators of the juicy Lucy but they do it well and with pizazz. Try flavor combos here that you won't see other places. Their tatchos are awesome.
They've got beer, wine and cider. No booze so if you're looking for cocktails, keep looking.
No parking lot but parking in the neighborhood is easy to find most of the time.
This place is always busy so to avoid long waits, get dinner before 5 or after 8.
Alex Rose
This is a great Blue Door location and the burgers are excellent. I had one issue with the staff one time but that barely counts. The beer list is also solid and their appetizers are different from most places. It's worth giving a shot for sure.
Jarrett Braun
The stuffed burgers are original and delectable. The wings are the best in town (and the perfect choice during happy hour). If you're going to get a side, go with the tots. You'll probably find a great local brew or cocktail to pair with your indulgence.
The location is just a block away from the Riverview Theatre and the parking is street-side, but typically easy to find. This may be the largest location, but still on the smaller side (compared to most restaurants). I recommend planning ahead or for a possible wait, but no reservations. Check Google for busy times.
Adam Rondeau
Absolutely wonderful staff. Trivia on Tuesdays is great! The boneless wings are so so so tasty. I highly recommend get half barbecue, half sweet chili lime with some bleu cheese for dipping. That way you get some veggies along with your wings.
KeriAnn Hollerud
Delicious wings, good tap drinks list. They split the salad for us without our asking, just mentioned we'd share it. Would definitely return and try more of the menu. Burgers especially liked good.
Kathie Young
Love having this place in the neighborhood.
Cozy place with great burgers, great beer selection, and the staff are always friendly. Had a mixup with a to-go order and the bartender went above and beyond to correct it. Definately a must try!
David Pollitt
Burgers are great here, wings are fantastic, and they have plenty of beers on tap. You would think its just a standard bar but they really do put out some inventive options and its all for a decent price. Can get super busy but its still 2-3x as large as the nearby St.Paul location.
Whitney Rowland
My favorite Juicy Lucy in the Twin Cities! If you're dining with two and you're both into tots (which are *fabulous* here, particularly the Cajun tots), I recommend ordering the appetizer tots and getting the burgers a la carte. Typically, a better portion for the price. Enjoy!
Rachael Rinehart
Great place for a Juicy Lucy and best tots in the cities! Try them tossed in wing coating for an extra "umph". Good selection of local brews and great, casual ambiance. All three locations are pretty loud but Longfellow offers the best group seating/dining experience.
Jesse Bochniak
My favorite place to go for a Jucy Lucy. I almost always get "The Longfellow." Cajun tater tots are quite tasty. Decent beer selection and good chicken wings as well - quite a few different flavors. There is almost always a wait for a table if you during dinner hours. Service is good. Great weekend afternoon happy hour.
Sheldon Hille
Great service and really interesting limited time burgers/sandwiches.
Brianne Olson
Came with a large group to avoid long lines in the park.
We were greeted with such warm hospitality!
The service was fast, the food was awesome, the owner was more than fit to the task.
It's the picture of old time values!
The workers never lost their smiles the whole time we were there.
Highly recommended!!!
Jennifer Barnes
Omg these burgers and tots were amazing. There were lots of great options and everyone at our table was pleased with their meal. They offer vegetarian options for the burgers as well. The beer and cider selection was great and had something to make everyone happy.
Caleb W
One of my favorite restaurants around the twin cities. The burgers are great, but the appetizers are what really makes this place shine. The cheese curds are better than most, the spam bites are excellent, the jalapeno poppers you can't go wrong with, and then of course the wings.
James S Tordoff
Great burgers, excellent selection of microbrews for the beer folk, imaginative and fresh salads. BUT....... Loud. Too typical in the modern restaurant experience. That the dining out mavens think people enjoy shouting at each other over a booming time worn classic rock sound track tells me that they are out of touch with what a truly enjoyable dining out experience is. I have also been told that restaurants like a loud environment because it encourages people to not stay long, so they can increase the number of turns per table. So, if I don't go back, I reckon that helps them turn their tables even more.......
Evan Little
Longfellow is handled the transition to being a takeout joint beautifully. If you have to drive with your food they can definitely customize it to make sure that the things that will get soggy in the car, won't get soggy in the car. Separate the wet from the crispies if you know what I mean.
There are few things better in the world than a classic blucy with fried onions on it. But don't worry they have like seven or eight other juicy Lucy's to try and take that crown away.
Don't miss the loaded tater tots, horse kick sauce, and do me a favor demand they bring back onion rings. They had the best onion rings in the twin cities and I want to see em make a return post-covid.
Brianna Nauman
Amazing food, one of the best burgers I've had. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and always checking to make sure we were doing well. Highly recommend.
Jenn G
Love this place even though we don't get there often. Had great food again, though I will warn you... when it says "flaming hot cheese curds" they are truly flaming hot. Almost to the point that we couldn't eat them. I like hot, spicy foods but that was too much for me. My husband faired better.
Jeff Faircloth
We had the hand cut fries and also the Frog Town nuggets they were cooked in peanut sauce and hoisin sauce. FANTASTIC FOOD.
Frank Williams
Great food and service. Wide variety of sandwiches and burgers which are all quite tasty. Friendly staff and a decent beer selection. The best time to visit is on the shoulders of lunch and dinner time. Otherwise be prepared for a good wait.
Clay Mackenthun
Good as ever. Quick service, amazing food, helpful staff. Visiting always me wish the one in Lyn-Lake never closed down, but at least this one isn’t too far
Lauren Christianson
Blue door is a great go-to for dinner with friends, they have excellent burgers but to me what sticks out are the "totchos" and their wings. They change their featured totchos every so often - tater tots with different toppings - and they get creative! My personal favorite recently was lobster mac and cheese. They also have featured wings and have a good happy hour for food and drinks. Can get pretty busy, and gets loud since it is a pretty small space.
cindy krepela
Amazing food! Might be the best cheese curds I’ve had. I had the Ceise & Desist Blucy, excellent. My Mom had the Cluck Yeah, also very good. Our server, also amazing. First time here. Definitely coming back 😀 …
Sarah Olson
We ❤️ Blue Door!!! What a great neighborhood establishment! Always awesome service, mouth watering burgers and excellent beers to choose from. The Jiffy burger is a MUST HAVE.
Mars Overlee
Cool local restaurant and bar. Food was very good. Did not like paying .50 cents for BBQ sauce. Great beer selection.
Brandon Dusterhoft
Great food, modern technological service works great, trivia night is great!
Joe Bottensek
Best burgers in Minneapolis! Fresh beef, amazing buns, fresh cut fries, and the best beer selection. Get a side of ranch because it's the bomb too
XBek One
Waited about 30 minutes to be seated. Street parking, walked 1.5 blocks on a really cold night. I thought the food was ok, but I would not go back for that. The other people I came with really liked what they ordered. I was seated at a really long table that had other people seated on either side of us. It was a bit like cafeteria seating. I would have preferred to sit at one of the booths. I did not really enjoy my visit. However, I believe it just isn't a good fit for me. You might like it?
Dustin Hilliard
Update after COVID-19.
Blue Door wins takeout during quarantine. Their food is as good at home as it was in restaurant. This is mostly due to their tots that survive the ride home and are still crispy, not sweaty or greasy.
They fill orders quickly and seem to have a decent setup to limit contact as much as possible.
Adeline Angst
Amazing food and amazing service! If you happen to get there during their busy times, it is well worth the wait. Had a burger (the Longfellow), some spicy cheesecurds and a beer and I would highly recommend stopping here for either dinner or a drink! Be warned, you may have to look around for parking.
Amanda Quade
Famous for their Blucys (Blue Door Juicy Lucy), these guys have a larger, more adventurous offering of the Minnesota staple than many of their competitors. A good place to go of you like some spiced-up options. Their burgers are filling (you could skip or split a side of tots or fries), and they have a variety of beers on tap and in cans. Friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere make this an upgrade to a standard neighborhood bar.
DeMarcus Akeem Suggs
Great food! I recommend the Jiffy Burger and cheese curds
Peter Goldberg
Good burgers and tater tots. I went with three friends and split an order of the hella totchos. They were surprisingly balanced, with the lettuce and cilantro lime sauce adding fresh flavor and crunch. We all had different blucys that were quite delicious and had a variety of flavors. The toppings may have overshadowed the fact that there was cheese in the middle, but it would be hard to complain.
C. L.
Good food, good location, good seating. Spacious & comfortable. The menu pricing stacks up FAST if you get lots of add-ons. Expect $30/$40 between 2 people. I've been on lots of dates & post movie meals up here. Always enjoyable. Good for all ages.
Angelica Pena
The food was freaking amazing!! 100/10
Jamie M
I love the Blue Door pubs. We drive here from western WI for blucys when we're really craving a good burger or if we're meeting up with friends. Longfellow is big (compared to the original pub in St. Paul) and because of that you don't have to wait as long for a table. The beer selection is great, the food is amazing, and the prices are good. I've never had bad service or food at a Blue Door. I highly recommend any of the Blue Doors, especially if you're visiting from out of town and you want to experience the best blucys in the Twin Cities.
cameron fortmann
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, and lots of bang for your buck. All the servers are really awesome and helpful, and theyve got some rather unique menu items. Havent been dissapointed yet! Also If youve got the means, try to check out more than one location. Theyve got specific burgers you can only get at specific locations. 5/5
Maddie Noonan
Worlds nicest bartender!! I think his name was Mitchel, cute dude, looks like a young Mathew McConaughey! I was having terrible anxiety over flying but he was friendly, professional, and completely took my mind off of my flight! 10/10 recommend stopping here before you fly!!!
Keenan Olson
I always said I loved this place. But when I went back the meat tasted cheap... the fries were still delicious. I still love it and want to give it a 5 for the tap list... but the burger quality is not worthy a 5 star review.
Ryan Wilson
This is the best burger in the Twin Cities. I've been to the much smaller St. Paul location many times. This location is much bigger with more waiting room and a larger bar. It's nice to get the same great food without the huge wait. Of course there still is going to be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. There's a reason this place is always busy.
Dawn Burkitt
Service isn't that great; it's a bunch of college kids (enough said). But the food is incredible. We were told that Longfellow is THE location to go by the locals. 30 beers on tap and the burgers are legit. Order the wings as well.
Paul Larson
Good burger and amazing cheese curds. it's a little pricey. But the staff was friendly. It's not my favorite but I'd eat there again. It's the right place if your craving a burger.
Leslie Carey
Some of the best juicy lucy burgers in town, hands down! This is a great spot to meet up with friends or belly up to watch sports for casual nights out. The food is good, but highly greasy, so prep your stomach accordingly!
Susan Premo
My son enjoyed his lunch very much, bartender was friendly, the beer on tap was delicious.
Marie Gray
The Horse Kick burger is soooo good. Best Lucy I have ever had. Better than Matt’s or the 5-8 club. We have moved to Florida, but whenever we fly back up we have to stop
At The Blue Door. Fabulous!
Joyce Kovacs
Great food. Good selection. Order yourself at the table, on your phone. Very little interaction needed with staff! Nice!
Jeff E
Blucy's are awesome. A bit put off with appetizers coming after done eating, but they made it right. Bravo!
Robert Bogott
Busy after the movie. Lots of craft beers. The burger & fries were excellent. Loud. Mix of long tables with benches and conventional tables. Good service. Recommend.
Jessica
Delicious! Boneless wings, burgers and Cajun tots. Cheese curds are good too, light and fluffy batter. Could have better marinara dipping sauce for the curds (was cold and ketchup like).
Kristin Stieg
Have never been disappointed here. Juicy Blucys, totchos, Spam bites, good tap craft beer selection. Definitely check out the "flavor of the moment" in burgers, totchos and wings. This place is popular, so there can definitely be a wait at dinner/lunch times and weekends, but it's an acceptable time and understandable for a popular neighborhood joint.
Paul Clemente
My friend and I came in here STARVING!! Flaming hot cheese curds(they sound scary, but they're mild 😉), Rican Rub Wings and the Stick Together Wings, and I ordered the Mount Blucuvious!! Spicy bacon, ghost pepper cheese, fried avocado! Everything was AMAZE-BALLS!!!(I'm salivating right now thinking about it) …
Peter Schilling
Visited Longfellow's Blue Door for lunch at 1:30, and we were one of two tables that had customers. Took fifteen minutes to get our order, then another 35 to get our food. The food--burgers and tater tots all around--was very good, although the burgers were lukewarm, the tots stone cold. Our waitress disappeared. Finally, we had to eat, and did, and when we told our waitress, politely, that the food was cold (this after we said that it was well made), she seemed totally indifferent. When one of our group emailed the establishment to point this out, there was no response. Hoping this doesn't happen again, as it's nice to have a place like Blue Door in Longfellow, but it seems as though their attitude is one of "you're lucky to have us here."
Beth S Hilliard
Really good burgers. Had the Mount Blucuvious and it was the perfect amount of kick. Really great burger overall with well balanced flavor. Lots of local beer on tap and happy hour specials.
James Hall
Since becoming a mini chain in the Twin Cities, Blue Door is not quite the same. The burger options are slightly different and I have had an inconsistent amount of cheese tramining inside the burger. Still, the burgers are generally good, tater tots are nearly impossible to do wrong, and the Jiffy burger is some you have to experience at least one (likely you will try it once and buy it repeatedly)
Gretchen Gosnell
The Cease and Diest Burger is bomb! Try the deep fried green beans too. Excellent burgers!
Ben Lindquist
Great food, Tuesday night trivia is solid. Wish there were more bottled beer options..
Travis Atkinson
Love this place, have gone many times and will continue. I love how the my mix up the menus and flavors!!! YUM!
Sam Toberman
I always really want to believe the food here is good. I had the boneless chicken wings and they were worse than McDonalds. Dry, poorly seasoned and way overcooked. Yet somehow they came out cold. Basically a trifecta of mediocrity. I may or may not go again, but this is the third time I've had 3 star service so I assume that's just what they deliver.
Aaron Stine
My favorite of Blue Door's locations. Burgers and/or wings - you can't go wrong with any of them. Indeed Day Tripper on tap all day for super cheap. Good casual bar spot.
Naomi Sundalius
Service has consistently been as good as the food. We make sure to go on off hours so that we don't have to wait. Beer selection is awesome. Cheese curds are some of the best.
Lydia Pike
Best burgers in the Twin Cities!! Favorite place to go with friends and family! Highly suggest getting The Longfellow burger with a side of Tots tossed in Sweet Chili Lime sauce...you will not regret it!!
Abe Schwabacher
Best burgers you'll find in the twin cities, hands down. Pretty decent beer selection on tap too. The only downside is the wait, if you go during dinner time expect to wait an hour at the very least, sometimes two. Worth it though.
Chris Bakeoven
The experience at Blue Door is always amazing. Been to every location in the cities and absolutely love it. Highly recommend the Samurai wings and the Totchos.
LJ Zaic
Excellent burgers and hand cut fries, and a great craft beer selection on tap. We also appreciated the helpful and attentive staff! This place deserves 10 stars!
John Hiebert
Good place for...you know...burgers. wings are good too. A lot of people enjoy the jiffy burger, but it's not for everyone. Fun little place though the wait can be long and parking is exclusively street, though not awful.
Paul Drees
Fantastic food, pretty good service. I'm really thankful they have good vegetarian options, I'm a huge fan of their grilled cheese. It's the best I've ever had.
Andrew Wipf
Wonderful burger joint that specializes in remixing the infamous Juicy Lucy cheese-filled burger. They have knowledgable staff, great atmosphere, and with TONS of local craft beer options. All that and a good location makes it a no-brainer for introducing friends from out of town to Minneapolis cuisine.
Karen Wang
Oddest location for a restaurant, smack dab in the middle of a residential district. Busy store, but you have to wait either inside the store or across the street (presumably because there's a bus stop right on the corner where the restaurant is).
They specialize in "Jucy Lucy" burgers. Honestly, I thought Uncle Tom's home-made ones were better. The patties here look like two thin burger patties slapped together with cheese in the middle. The "Classic" came with just buns, the special patty, and pickles.
Really liked their sides though. The fried cheese curds, beer-battered green beans, and tater tots were all super tasty. Also ordered the pork belly fritters but they had an unexpected texture and I wouldn't order them again although they tasted fine.
Tyler Forsythe
The person who choose the music in this place did a great job, classics and remixes thereof. Though the deep fried green beans were not the best I've ever had, the ranch that came with them was. The Blucy of the Month was decent but really overpriced compared to the others ($2 more, price not listed on the menu).
Emiliano Urbina
This place takes the juicy lucy concept to a whole new level. Definitely worth a try if you love burgers and other bar food. Additionally, they always have a great selection of beer on tap.
Ryan Bolduan
If I am having the hankerin' for grease (in a good way), this is where I want to go. I'm surprised at this point they haven't figured out a way to deep fry the menu before giving it to you.
I know Matt's and 4-8 fight over the title of the Jucy (or Juicy) Lucy, but if I'm itching for some cheese stuffed ground beef, I'm heading to Blue Door. The menu is pretty much that - burgers with cheese (there might be other things on it, but really who cares about those things). There are of course fried side offerings - I'd suggest the cheese curds - but since everything is fried, it's all good.
Now I'm hungry.
Morgan Skugrud
If you have a soul and you like a good burger, you should probably eat here. The best Juicy Lucy take in town.
Riley Lind
A great twist on Minneapolis' own Juicy Lucy they have crammed everything you can imagine between those patties, mixed with a great beer selection and some killer sides including always delicious beer battered green beans how could you not love the blue door. PS waits do get long at busy times and on weekends but hey... That's just time for more beer!
Ethan Meyer
Great space for when you want Blue Door and have a bigger group. The St. Paul location tends to be busy and packed, but hop over to Longfellow and you should be able to get in quicker. Each location offers special burgers unique to the location.
Will S
I used to come here specifically for the Maple Bacon Bourbon wings. Disappointed to find out they have been removed from the menu. The Blue Door is still a nice, lively neighborhood pub. Evening events like blingo and trivia may keep me coming back, but now it is only on equal footing with other pubs in the area. The typical 20-40 minute waits will likely drive me to see what else is out there.
Scott D. Cole
We loved the Mpls Longfellow location of this reknowned establishment! More spacious and very good seating options. But of course, we come for the great food and service. We were seated right away and were waited on immediately by our most excellent server. The Islander Blucy is our new favorite. And it's hard to beat the $3.50 pint of Indeed Day Tripper any time of day ever day!!
Matthew Gantz
Blue door has always been one of my favorite places for a burger and fries (or tots!). This is the second Blue Door to open in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area, and it is simply bigger than the original location. It still shares the same great food and Sunday happy hour specials!
Houa Yang
Burger was cooked perfectly! Relaxed atmosphere. Only thing I didn't like was the fries, they are just ok, I prefer crispy and thinner fries.
Sovalon Torres
This place was cool, but small. It was a tad bit disappointing that they did not have any great gluten free options, other than salads. No gluten free bread, or buns. Otherwise, the experience was good, and so was the bunless burger i had.
Miquel Medina
If you're looking into the Blue Door, you've probably heard all you need to know about them - amazing burgers, great tap list, and comfortable atmosphere. As far as I know there are three locations - the original in St. Paul, one in Como, and here in Longfellow. The STP location is very, very small, and the Como location is extremely popular with the college crowd, so the Longfellow location seems to be the best for getting service.
Matthew Olson
Can you go wrong with Blue Door? I don't think so. They have some of the best burgers in town. A little spendy (especially since the fries are extra). But if you are okay with that then your tastebuds will be too.
George Kell
One of my favorite spots to patronize. Every single item is delicious, and personally I think the Jiffy Burger is their magnum opus. Great environment, a little loud, but that's what one would expect from this type of establishment.
Robert Stevens
I come here frequently and it never disappoints. As much as I love a good Blucy, the wings are even more satisfying (especially with their from-scratch bleu cheese). It's hard to find something on the menu you won't like.
dan erickson
My wife and I came here for lunch for the first time a few weeks ago. The food was fantastic. We started with nachos and then we both had to get a juicy lucy. They also had $3 Indeed Daytripper, which is unbeatable.
Andrew Huss
Cool venue with outdoor dining. Great menu, had the mount bluesuvius (sp?) Solid spicy tator tots and cheese curds.
Jonathan Armstrong
Great atmosphere and great food. The service was quick and friendly. Would highly recommend.
Paul Theis
Really unique menu. Great place to get a good unique hamburger. If your looking for something different than your average bar burger, I'd check it out.
Shane Klackner
Get the cheese curds. You can thank me later- better than MN state fair. If God himself opened up a restaurant, that would be crazy and I would probably go there instead. But, this is for sure the next best thing.
Jocelyn Steinke
This is a great neighborhood place with excellent food. Amazing service and a carefully curated selection of beer and cider. Also, the mix for their Coke is perfect, not too syrupy with perfect carbonation.
Arya Shae (chaotic-goof)
I haven't had good as good as I've had it here, ever. Wow. I'm beyond shocked at how so delicious this food is! Full of flavor and spice and AMAZINGNESS.
Z Makila
I feel like the Juicy Lucy origin debate was a bit before my time. I have nothing to add to whether it came from the 5-8 Club or Matt's Bar. But I can say for certain that The Blue Door has the best version of the Juicy Lucy that I have ever had. The Blucy is delightful! If you're in the mood for an appetizer, the beer battered green beans are perfect.
Justin Dybedahl
Best damn burgers in the Twin Cities. Not joking. My wife took me here on a date and ruined all other burgers for me. I've had most of the blucy's and they are all delicious. My favorite is the Cajun redux or the Bangkok blucy. Don't just finish it there, get the Cajun tots or regular tator tots. Both are good. You won't be disappointed.
Amanda Boese
Delicious jucy lucy-known as a "juicy blucy" at Blue Door. The rest of the burgers are also outstanding. Try the Jiffy Burger for something out of the ordinary! Tots or fried green beans are a must on the side. Seating is somewhat limited, so expect to wait a bit if you're trying to get in at peak times.
Pauline Cao
What We Ordered
- Fried Cheese Curds
- Fried Green Beans
- Zucchini Fries with Queso Sauce
- Cajun Redux
- Cease & Desist
My friend told me this was his favorite Juicy Lucy place in MN. I was very skeptical since Matt's Bar and 5-8 Bar always popped up when I searched on Google. Never should have doubted him because it was delicious! Appetizers were good..anything with cheese is good. ^_^ That Queso sauce for the Zucchini Fries was addicting! I dipped everything in there haha.
I was so happy my Cajun Redux was cooked to a perfect medium after my horrible experience at 5-8 Bar. It had a good amount of heat and cheese to meat ratio.I tried my cousin's Cease & Desist and it tasted just like a Big Mac but, better!! More meat, cheese and sauce than a regular Big Mac. I will be back the next time I'm in town. :)
Kate Sahnow
Hosting was slow. Out of mimosas on a Sunday at 1:00pm and wanted to charge double to use prosecco instead...? None of the food or service wow'd me. The sauce on the black bean burger was good, but don't think I'll bother going back. Competition is fierce in the pub game and this place will not make my short list.
Adam Wright
They could just rest on their jucy laurels, but the BD folks keep pushing the envelope. Tasty, inventive burgers are the stars, but they get solid support from a lot of really good app and wing ideas too. Local beers and a pro FOH round out a really solid dining experience.
Azad Lassiter
Really good. My 3 year old had it once and will always ask for Blue door. She can’t even remember the name of all her aunts but yeah sure. Priorities.
Roger Welch
From Florida, and my second time in BDL, and was even more impressed than the first time. Morgan at the bar was exceptional and the food selections are outstanding. Vibe is what one wants when you're needing that comfy feeling on the road. Worth every good review it gets and a must if your in the MSP area.
Will D
85 degrees inside and bad recommendations. Bad combo for the greasiest hangover-type food one could imagine. Tots were sinful, and there is bound to be a great burger on the menu if cooked right..!
Dianne Morstad
Longfellow burger...goat cheeses stuffed burger with a blackberry sauce is a nice foil to Cajon tots. $10 pitcher of Hamm's when the game is on....another choice burger is the Horse kick with horseradish. Big booth seats 8 with ease.
Britanny Precht
Great place for a Blucy, or cheese stuffed hamburger, fairly limited other options. The Tatchos or tater tot nachos are delicious! Always busy on the weekends and peak times can have an hour plus wait. No reservations.
Christopher Tyler
Good burgers and tots. Try the cheese curds!
Ha.Pe03 Ymail
The Minnesotan dinner crow really shows up around 6. They do NOT serve liquor. If you show up at a rush with a large (5+) group, expect a wait. The menu is standard but spicy food is definitely to midwest tastes. Don't expect actual hot food. Cheese curds, tater tots, and slightly overcooked juicy lucys are on the menu with a rotating tap.
Zachary Zabloski
Ordered take out and the service was great. The food was hot and delicious. Always tell people to try Blue Door.
Billy G.
Decent Spot. Was not overly impressed with the Bangkok Blucy. Beef was good, but pickled vegetables were weak and the so called curry sauce was just bad. Prices are very fair so I will give it another try. Plus you have like a place that offers tater tots.
D W
It was excellent. The food. The service. Everything was awesome. Very few and far between that you can get some plain ole good food and wonderful service from friendly staff that look like they are actually happy to be here helping you. I will come back.
Katlin Linden
Seriously love this place! This is the place we take all our friends and family when they come visit! Anything I have ordered, I've never been disappointed! Staff is very friendly and makes great recommendations! Just recently found out you can use the wing seasonings on the tator tots and it was life changing!
Chris Alexander
Easy service, completely contactless. Happy hour can’t be beat!
Lorrie L
Best burger place in the twin cities. The blucy burger is delicious and cheesey and just all around great! I highly recommend you get the season tots!
Alec Ericksen
Hands down some of the best food in St Paul.
10/10 great burger Totchos a wings.
Bonus lots of leftovers.
Madalynn Gerold
The food is so good. I always find an easy place to park, and I always stay later than I planned. The low-key vibe belies a lively spirit that makes you want tuck in and order another basket of tater tots.
Ryan Salsman
My favorite of the Blue Door locations due to the staying availability and general layout. Not to mention the great burgers! A little spendy for a burger and fries but they are worth it.
Swarup Ray
Awesome food!! I love the blucy burgers. Two of my favorites are Mt. Blucuvious and The Islander. I love this place so much I go a few times a month! They have happy hour after 9PM
Chrissy Jonelis
NO weekend happy hour!!!!!! The manager decided that at all the Blue Door restaurants, but did not post anywhere to let people know. We went often for beer, happy hour and wings. New weekend hang out here we come!
Tom Weaver
The best burger in town.
Ryan R
Great burger. Friendly and fun staff. Really nice neighborhood feel. Feels established and comfortable. Food was so good i finished before I remembered to take a picture😊 …
Jimmy Lerro
Entertaining family from out of town ( South Jersey) was enhanced by our meal at Blue Door Pub. The burger (Blucy) is somthing to tell all at home about. We all loved the food and the staff were perfectly attentive.
Tony Gao
Gotta love the Blue Door. Get their wings half-and-half with Rican Rub and Sweet Chili. Or go classic and get a Blucy - you can't go wrong with that. They have tots with cajun seasoning that are to die for. I haven't had a bad meal at this place. It can get very busy sometimes, and parking is just on the streets in the neighborhood, so it pays to visit off-peak.
Lindsay Samelian
Very quick service from our kind hostess and waitress. The burgers are pretty great and I love their tater tots. Lots of beer choices.
Graham Winchester
Blue door is known for their burgers, but their wings are the dark horse on the menu. This location is the best of the three, it's much larger than the other two, and has superior service.
Mark Olson
Many tasty renditions of the "Juicy Lucy" with fries that have just as many variations as well. I was there for lunch & a craft beer. Prices were very reasonable. I'll mos def drop by again.
JY James
Stellar service (Annie). Delicious Sunday brunch for our bunch: The Blucy, The Jiffy, Thai Chicken Wrap, Iced Tea, Cider on tap. Fresh, tasty, fast, fun, friendly. (Hostess hesitated about the booth we chose and aggressive about getting us out of there PDQ, however, we won't hold that against her - she is young and hardworking, doing her job, bless her heart, without having learned the Art of the Finesse, yet.) Got there when The Blue Door opened, filled up fast. Lovely beginning to a glorious MN spring day.
marquel pike
The best cheese curds and wings ever. Great selection of beers and a friendly wait staff. Looking forward to going back and trying more of their specialties.
Metrotune TV
I feel as if every neighborhood in America deserves to have its own Blue Door. Mouthwatering and creative burgers, my favorite being the Longfellow with some additional Peanut Butter and Bacon. FLAVOR BOMB. I'd weigh so much more if I lived nearby.
nathan maki
Good beer selection and burgers
Chris Smith
The "Blucy' is not as good as the jucy lucy but still quite tasty. The tachos are good but not as good as the Industrial in NE. The wide variety of craft beers really makes this place. The atmosphere is lively and young. Be prepared to wait if you show up on a Friday or Saturday evening!
Caleb Checkal
A great local bar that is famous for their burgers. But the best menu items are their wings. Fantastic flavors all around!
Amy Tompkins
Food is pretty tasty. Above average beer selection, although not huge. Service ranges from mediocre to meh I wish they had grass fed burgers.
Wayne Pauluk
Loved the burgers and fries and 🍺 beer. Tater tots were ok. First time and we will be back often. Service was friendly and very attentive. …
Daniel Freeburg
Definitely better than the last time. This time the bartender was polite even though they were busy and got my food in a decent amount of time and it wasn't raw in the center. With service like this time I will definitely look at coming back.
Ivory Cookingmama
It's always good. Go to the gym before and after tho.
Tab Fellows
Friendly loud well thought out comfiest place. Almost old Milwaukee in its neighborhood corner beer joint feel with an upscale millennium feel. The Blucy vaults past the local 'whose is the 1st Juicy Lucy' question. Nice.
Kate Bieler
The burger was amazing!! The fries were pretty bland but the burger made up for it. Definitely a place to try when in the area.
Dan Hull
Delicious, original Minnesota food and great beer. Its busy but that is because they have a reputation and that draws large numbers the plus side they have multiple locations with in minutes of one another.
Tony Case
Neighborhood joint with great burgers and Bev selection. There is often a wait for seating. Occasionally beverageas on tap don't seem the freshest. Service good to excellent.
Adam Poole
If your going to visit Minneapolis you need to eat here. The best burgers and local taps! This is one of three places I always eat at when I am back visiting family.
Todd Wheeler
Good chill place, seemed like a lot of locals hang out here. Food was good, beer was cold. And good selection of beer including local beers what I always go after.
Restrooms were a little dark, but just nitpicking.
H “Kuma” H
Visiting Minneapolis you have to try a "Juicy Lucy" - I had a crazy burger here with pepperjack cheese, a giant patty, bacon, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, and peanut butter! Crazy combination but delicious.
Paul Sparico
Great waitress! She was super knowledgable of the food & ate the food as well. Very upbeat as well! The food was great & def had to take a food coma nap when I was done. Get the Blucy a.k.a. the Juicy Lucy!
Peder Swendsrud
Love the burgers, wings, tots, cheese curds, beer selection, it's all good. Can be very busy but worth the wait.
Mark Kartarik
Jiffy burger and fries was pretty good. Take out process was quick and easy from the take out window.
Bonnie Toppin
Food and service are always great! The cease-and-desist burger is our family favorite. Also their beer taps have excellent local beers.
Ryan Skar
If your looking for a good just Lucy this is the place to go. The flavors range from the standard to the unique and interesting, with a new favors all the time. Also a great place to get a local beer.
Christine
Always delicious Blucy Burgers, tots and fried pickles. Blingo on Mondays is great fun. They have a nice rotating beer selection as well.
Audrey C
The service was awesome, the guy was great at recommending what was a great choice. The Burgers were amazing!
Brandon Buckli
Fantastic juicy Lucy's with great beer selections. Plan on waiting 20-30 min for a table during the busiest times but you will agree it was well worth the wait. Great service as well.
Kevin Vander Schaaf
The food is amazing! The staff is super friendly. The food is amazing! They have a great beer selection. The atmosphere is cool. Did I mention the food is amazing?
tessa silver
excellent beer options. fun food. great for an adult lunch/dinner with friends, or whole family. bring the kids, you'll all have fun in the chalk board booths.
Deborah Uhlemann
Love this restaurant. The hamburgers & buns are delicious, as are the cheese curds & wings. Very friendly & cool atmosphere.
Sarah Marshall
The food was absolutely delicious... I suggest the Blucy if you like blue cheese... The prices are more than reasonable for the portions you get... Great place!
Petie V.
The service was fantastic! Great beer selection, damn good food. Great pub atmosphere. Good job owners. Its great to see smiling faces when you walk in too. Keep it up.:-)
Nick Kirby
Decent brunch; it was packed so we sat at the bar. One of the people in my group requested medium rare for his steak and eggs, it came out well done.
Dan M
Very busy place, and for good reason. The burgers were fantastic and I didn't burn myself on the cheese! Would eat again.
Denny deBruyn
Fabulous burgers, great tap beer selection, the cheese curds are so light and fluffy.
Paul Wunderlich
In my opinion, these guys have the best take of the Juicy Lucy in the Twin Cities. The Jiffy Burger. while not a Blucy, is amazing! And make sure to get the spam bites!
Eric Borlaug
Pretty cool neighborhood spot. Not as good as Matt’s for burgers but better sides and beer and service and usually much less crowded.
Michael Calhoun
This is about the best neighborhood burger joint in all of Minneapolis. Some of the best and most creative stuffed cheese "Lucy" burgers, and dont sleep on the cheese curds - theyre top notch!
Paul Behnke
My favorite restaurant anywhere. Get the jiffy burger with buffalo tots and your favorite beer. Very busy. So get there early or wait. It will be worth it.
Dave Schultz, Realty One Group Choice
Awesome burgers. Try their famous Blucy and you will love it. They have my vote for he best burgers in Minnesota.
Andrew Meggs
Best juicy lucys in town. Delicious cheese curds, good beer selection, great atmosphere. Sad that they got rid of the curry burger though.
Mike K
Awesome food and a nice environment. Felt very rushed from beginning to end. They definitely are trying to turn over tables faster than the average restaurant.
Torrey Vegter
My burger was lukewarm when it came out, so a little disappointing but still a good burger. A good neighborhood bar overall so we'll probably stop by again.
Peggy Juergens
Sorry they don't have the Islander burger any longer, but enjoyed the wild rice soup. Location was nice, I like palaces in the city.
Erik Heathcote
Delicious. Everything about Blue Door is delicious. Trust me that the Jiffy Burger, while it does sound weird, is fantastic and you should totally get it.
Paul Salzer
They changed things up. Their already overpriced burgers got smaller with no price change. If you're looking for a stuffed burger, go to Matt's bar or 5-8 club instead.
Ryan Toppin
Some of the best burgers in the metro. A good variety of craft/local beer taps, friendly service. All around a great place.
Mark Smith
Good beers, food and service.
Genevieve Jerve
Best wings in town and lots of rubs and sauces to choose from! Hella totchos are HELLA GOOD.
Brad H
These are some truly great burgers. The nacho totchos are really unique and good too. It's definitely worth visiting.
Ben Diger
It was deeeeeelicious, and spicy. Everything will taste like rubber for a month. Mount blusvious burger. The burger was hot and spicy hot. Dove in to quick.
James Palka
Great selection of Blucys. Tots are perfectly done. Good beer list. Nice atmosphere
Carol Kissner
Great "juicy lucy's" and a very good beer menu. The waitstaff was great with a table of 6 adults and 3 young children
Kate Baxstrom
Best wings in the Twin Cities hands down! Frogtown sauce can't be beat. Wish there was more variety in the beer list
Krista Gordhamer
Fun atmosphere and delicious food. Huge bluecy burgers. Tried their special of the day and was not disappointed, full of flavor!
Kendra
Small and friendly atmosphere. Great food. Recommend the the Hella Totchos. So bomb! Wings and cheese curds were also delicious. Great service.
Kenny Williams
Every burger I have had has been great. Always really busy when I go in, so the service is never exceptional, but the burgers and tots make up for it.
Toby Schroder
They have recently updated the menu and their approach during the covid disruption. It's good to taste the results of recaptured innovation.
Trevor Burns
Go here. Don't forget to get tator tots. The cease and desist is one of my favorite burgers on the planet. Usually have great service and a good happy hour.
Nick Weber
There is no place in the the Twin Cities that provides a more “Cheers” like atmosphere. Honestly. Better than Matt’s, the 5-8; and the Nook. And always will be.
Andrea Cannon
Wonderful homey atmospher. Amazing staff, love the girl with blue hair! The food was to die for had a gooey chhesey, saucy blucy and BBQ tot and $3 MIMOSAS!!
Lil’ Snack
One of my favorite burger spots.
Overall the entire menu is super solid
Andrew Fredrickson
Burgers are incredible. Lots of good, different options for "juicy Lucy". Good beer list and pretty cheap too.
Joe Wertzberger
Great food and an even better HH.
Matt P
Love their cheese curds and the burgers are always solid. Friendly staff and good local beer list.
Jen Welker
I love the blue door pub so much! The Longfellow and Como locations have a bit more space. Blucys (their name for the iconic jucy lucy) are the best - be sure to get a punch card!
Casey Shannon
Turkey Soup is horrible. Original Blucey is not very good either. Tator Tots are awesome though as are the sauces you can get with them. Ok service.
abraham henry
Good food, good service. Good beer selection. It can be too loud at busy times for children with sensitive ears. Otherwise it's family friendly.
Charles C
This place has an excellent happy hour. The cajun tots and wings are delicious, and the happy hour price is very good for the craft beers available.
Merit Burgett
Came in with a large group of cast mates, our server was very on top of things and got us our food and drinks with plenty of time to enjoy before we had to be at cast call for our evening show.
Ben Osmond
Creative burger selection, wings, totchos and a solid beer list in a neighborhood setting. What's not to like? Good eating.
Greg Smisek
Friendly server, decent variety of craft beer, fries arrived hot and plentiful. I could have done without the bingo, but obviously many patrons were there for that.
Chris Hanson
Had never eaten here before this pandemic. Have now grabbed food multiple times and it has been amazing. On time and tastes great.
Derek Eskens
Maybe a bit overrated based on my one visit. Our table didn't finish the Spam bites app because they just weren't that good and the burgers were overcooked.
Steph Komorouski
So noisy and crammed. I know it's a popular option, but our server often left us feeling ignored. The food was ok, but not quite what I expected for the price.
C
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Highly recommend the scary buffalo wings.
David Grambsch
Great place to get a Lucy. I'd recommend trying the jiffy burger at least once even though it sounds weird, it's truly amazing (just make sure you're really hungry)
Ben Vandelinder
Food was great. Service was great. Accurate wait time. Damn what a good burger. Also, try the curds.
Lisa Duncan
Staff was nice but the food was grease bomb. Kudos to being under- staffed and still quick service...
Bruce Enemark
The food was delicious and hot. The cheese in the burgers was sharp enough to taste clearly. Splendid time with the family.
Erik Jensen
very pricey for a mediocre burger/dining experience.Theres so mich they could of done to match high prices. but no,okay burger, bored staff.
Amy Nelson
One of my favorite happy hours! $2 hamms and $3 tots, what else could a minnesotan ask for?
Shane O'Brien
Service at lunch could use some tune up. Almost every table around us was turned over before we even got our food. Wasn't planning for a 2+ hour lunch break.
Thomas Larson
Had pulled pork sandwich with BBQ (go for the tots instead of fries). Very good. A bit noisy but service was excellent
Skyler Langfald
The best burger and cheesecurds ive ever had. Had the cease and desist. Food was done fast. Highly recommend this place.
Joel Hobart
Great burgers. Deafeningly loud. Great place to enjoy a burger while ignoring your company (since you won't hear anything they're saying)
Alex Guelcher
A lot of hype. $4 for a Hamm's? Was not impressed with their boneless chicken. I most definitely did not get a pound of chicken for $7. Maybe half a pound. Don't think I'll be stopping in again.
Michael Skillrud
Outstanding. If you haven't had the Jiffy Burger, you might give it a try. Burger, bacon, peanut butter. Truly decadent and delicious.
AW “Red Wing IT”
Nice place. Stopping in for a late lunch at 3 pm. Food was fast and very good. It is a classy place but they welcomed us construction workers.
James Wolf
My favorite burger place in the Twin Cities. Often can be busy. Never had a bad meal here
Ty Bayles
The best BDP location for larger parties. Amazing food and atmosphere as usual. Jiffy Burger cowboy-style is my go-to!
Catherine Cummings
Are here last week. VERY busy place. Great burgers and way cool selection. Prices good also!
Kevin Richardson
Our waitress was fantastic and the food was even better tried blue cheese garlic Burger and tried some wings everything was very very good
Michael Rush
Great food and friendly service. To be honest, I don't love the QR code ordering system though.
Rachel Hansen
Manager is outstanding, good amazing!
Food perfect!
Thanks Blue Door open again soon In Saint Paul!
Lucas Anderson
There is something about that Jiffy Burger; peanut butter, bacon and pickles on a hamburger sounds strange but honestly is one of the best burgers if ever had.
Mariah Lowinske Realtor
Love me a great beer and burger. Perfect neighborhood spot for dinner.
David Radamés Toro
Great burgers! They serve tator tots, which always earns bonus points. Great and polite service.
Scot Mahan-Miller
A little more expensive than the average burger place, bit the food is so worth it. Love the deep fried green beans.
Logan Dingus
Best cheese curds around. Has great Blucys! The Longfellow blucy is great. Pastramilicious burger is my favorite!
Jake O'Toole
Big selection of burgers and beers. I got the special burger of the week and it was pretty tasty. Servers were very friendly.
Nate Janssen
Great service and food. "All you can eat" fish fry should be called "One plate of fish and tots is all you can eat." It's a lot of food.
BIG T
Erin and steph are super awesome. Really enjoyed my time there. I live in florida and the locals welcomed me and enjoyed talking with them. Sho nuff
