Long awaited Afro Deli in downtown Minneapolis has finally arrived. It opened few weeks ago but it didn't disappoint. Food is definitely good but the lines are long. The menu is a bit different. Some of the same popular items like the other locations notably Afro Steak Dinner and Chicken Fantastic, which is fantastic. But a new item like the West African Yassa Chicken is a delicious and welcomed addition to the menu 😋.

Get there early! Curry chicken and the Steak with Somali rice was definitely a HIT! Sambusa is always a must!

Generous servings, very good food, reasonable prices. I’ve tried their sambusas, falafel, and lamb japati and enjoyed it all. The staff was kind and welcoming while they managed a big group of orders close to closing time.

I love the food and location! My office accidentally placed a large order to the wrong location and they were very accommodating and got our order ready in less than half an hour. Their sambusas are delicious! All the entrees I’ve tried so far have been great as well.

If I could give Afro Deli & Grill more than 5 stars I would. I am so lucky to work in the same building as this new location! Everything I have tried so far has been incredibly delicious and I look forward to trying more menu items. You will not be disappointed if you come here and it is worth standing in the long line!
