Great place with excellent quality- fish and such is not cheap, but never have been disappointed. Just spent some time on their site- great sounding recipes- you need to let us print them in future. You can almost task the oysters in the detailed pictures, where they come from, etc. Will search the fish and other details later.

I would consider them more of a specialty-type seafood store with more variety and higher quality than a seafood counter at a grocery store (with equivalent higher prices). Their message sign was adverstising "Jumbo" snow crab legs for $19.99 which is not much more than in the grocery stores. So I stopped in to see how jumbo they really were. They were pretty jumbo and looked really good, so I bought some. I haven't made them yet.

This is the best place for quality seafood. I visit perhaps only 3-4 a year, but when I need to count on getting the best, this is my first and only choice. Staff members are very helpful, and patient with questions concerning preperation.

Great place to get fish your regular store does not have. Many exotic fish and sea foods are available here. Prices vary with the market prices. I got a smoked ham loved it. Stop in and check them out. I bet you don't go home without buying some fresh and frozen foods here.

The best fish I have ever tasted!! I wish I had a photo of the beer batter fish and chips my husband made. My husband and I our chefs we have tried food from high end restaurants to dive kitchens. From store bought fish and distributors from the kitchen we have worked in. I can not rave enough about the quality of this place.

Fresh seafood and knowledgeable staff, Empire is the best! They have a wide selection of fish, which is constantly changing. It's fun to buy something I've never had and figure out how to cook it. The Dungeness Crab is nearly as good as what I've had fresh on the west coast. Ask for oyster recommendations! They've usually got 10 or more varieties!

I’ve been a customer of Empire Fish for several years and I simply cannot rate them highly enough. Their ever-changing selection of fresh and beautiful seafood is a treat, and I frankly have to exercise every ounce of self discipline I have to not buy everything in the store. I appreciate the recent addition of Neesvig (now Fortune) meats to their selection. The periodic Flash Sales can be a terrific opportunity to buy great food at insanely low prices. The staff is always courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful, with great instructions on how to cook seafood you may never have seen before. Empire Fish is one of the handful of stores that make Milwaukee a great place to live.

While in Florida we shop a local fish market that sells fresh caught sea food it reminds us of Empire Fish Company it's the closest we can get to it although the selection is as great. Love Empire Fish!

I've only been here a 5 or 6 times, it's a bit of a drive from where I live. They have the absolute best smoked salmon I've ever had so it's worth the drive. Last time I was there I also bought some ocean trout and it was probably the most delicious fish I've ever had, very fresh. The prices are competitive and the people there are friendly. I usually have a ton of questions, and they are always helpful with a ton of answers. I would go there more but as I mentioned, it's not to close to where I live.

Their store hours are practically inaccessible to people who work during the week and they are closed on Sunday(!). Unfortunately they do have good fish products particularly sushi and the smoked salmons so it is worth planning a Saturday trip here. I just wish their hours weren't so frustrating. They also consistently add .2 pounds to any measured product. "It's a little over, is that ok?" Gets really annoying the 7th time.

Empire fish offers the freshest seafood in all of southeastern Wisconsin. They stand behind all of their products 100%. We had bought $120 of lobster tails during their sale last year. We prepared it for the new year. It was not our first time preparing lobster tails and we never had this happen before. The 2# tails turned to mush. When we informed empire fish they told us that can happen on rare occasions and gave us a credit towards whatever. We have been buying from empire for at least 30 years and have always been treated this way. If the product sold is not of high standard they will make it right. Fortunately, their products are always fresh and the best. I will not buy seafood anywhere else and I live an hour away. Just wish the offered delivery.

A very good place to go to in terms of fish products. Everything they will sell you that is fresh packaged is top of the line, carefully looked at to make sure of its freshness. Their choice as well is very large, offering a multitude of products ranging from jumbo shrimp to crab legs to swordfish to salmon. Overall a very good place for shopping for fish products.

Purchased some pretty massive red king crab legs. They are HUGE and thick. Expensive? Sure- 49 bucks a pound. But that's 15-20 bucks a pound LESS than the multitude of online crab places I've checked out. Huge selection of other items. I get fresh fish here often.

Okay, so I have only visited Empire Fish Company one time - two days ago - but that one visit absolutely warranted a positive review. It was my birthday, and I wanted to treat myself and my daughter to some nice, fresh oysters. I was pleased to see that the store management has implemented protocols to help keep their customers safe and healthy. I had no idea there would be so many choices of shellfish available! Woo-hoo! The young woman who helped me with my selections was friendly and quick, not to mention patient as I made my selections. I purchased my oysters (6 each of two different types), along with some yummy looking ocean trout, and headed on my way. Later, my daughter and I popped open a bottle of white wine, then got busy popping open the oysters. Oh my, they were fresh and delicious. I'm going back there today to get some more to enjoy on New Year's Eve. I can't wait!

We took a drive to the store and bought enough for a feast. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and kind. This the store I go to for fresh fish. The fact is anything that comes from fresh water or salt....this is where I go. If the store you go to smells like fish...try Empire Fish. I've been going there for more than thirty years. Go try it...you will not be disappointed. Just recently purchased the take home fish fry. Novel idea! The finished product was of great quality. They no longer cut fish on Watertown plank road- usually this doesn't bode well, but we will see. I love that they now have curbside pickup, which I have used twice already, and every time, my order has been given to me in just a minute or two. Empire Fish has been a Milwaukee area staple for many years. I've been shopping there for over 25 years and I'm VERY picky about fish. Their lake fish are so fresh, especially the Lake Perch, Walleye, and Northern Pike. In addition to the lake fish, they also carry a very wide variety of river (trout, salmon, catfish), and ocean fish, as well as an extensive variety of seafood.
