Had a great time. Ambience is really nice and staff was awesome. I believe a Jamie T waited on us. She was a sweetheart and super helpful with menu recommendations. The food was delicious. We absolutely loved the cheese curds which you can probably tell by how many are missing in the picture.

Super friendly and helpful staff that nailed it closer to closing time. I'm not a usual bar sitter for dinner however enjoyed the bartender and the nice conversation they provided us. Definitely would refer to a group of friends or roommates looking for a classically elevated dining experience. Not a super big fan of a date night or families. It felt more close to home and very Wisconsin so if you visiting from out of time take no time to visit east town!!!

I had a pleasant experience here. Everything was okay. I arrived while the kitchen was transitioning from lunch to dinner so for 20mins I was only allowed to order small plates. So keep that in mind if you are hungry between 3-4pm. But the food was good. I have no complaints. The server was on point and the venue was welcoming and inviting. I struggled to order something gluten free and vegan so if those are your preferences, this may not be the place for you. None of the food stood out for me but it was edible. My friend really enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Apparently it was worth the wait.

East Town is a great bar to visit if you're looking for high quality cocktails at reasonable prices. The bartender was very professional and accommodating and the drinks were delicious. After reading a couple reviews I ordered a Buffalo Sour Cherry which was a great combination of sweet and tart. Just because this place is connected to a hotel does not mean this is a hotel bar. They have a vast selection of liquor and 24 taps available. I enjoyed the drinks and will be back for more.

Food was great, especially that pull apart pretzel that we got. They have little dinner rooms that you can rent which is cool if you need to have more of a private dinner.

We didn't order food as the menu was not your normal breakfast food. We did order mimosas which were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and personable. The restaurant and ambiance were beautiful.

Came for breakfast. I'm a Milwaukee local but my parents were staying in town at the Marriott. East town is a hotel bar restaurant, but reading the reviews I expected a good breakfast. Food was fine, suspiciously similar to the type of food you get at a continental breakfast where the liquid scramble eggs are sitting in warmed dishes. Same for the bread and breakfast potatoes - very very standard continental breakfast fare. The kicker is they charge ~$17/18 for these dishes. To be fair, the bacon egg and cheese English muffin my mom ordered looked more like an actual restaurant item, but the eggs your way that me and my dad ordered were exactly what you would find at any other hotel. The bill did not reflect the food quality. Eggs were cooked well and to order! Service was great and friendly, especially considering they were understaffed. Not sure I would try this place for dinner, considering it's a hotel bar and swinging door and public market/3rd ward are a block away.

Very friendly staff and nice setup. We ordered the fish fry Friday which was ok. The cod was HUGE and the fries were strangely seasoned. I think I tasted old bay and sugar on the fries? I will say my pretzel with the mustard was bomb.

East Town was really a surprise. I walked in Saturday evening and was absolutely blown away by the hospitality. Our server really seemed to enjoy working there and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The manager was so knowledgeable about alcohol, it was truly impressive. He recommended the Buffalo Sour Cherry. The cocktail was perfect. Using Buffalo Trace and a local Wisconsin Spirit. Food was tip-top. Grab the fried chicken sandwich! We will be back soon.

We went out for my husband's birthday. The food was good, but not spectacular. I had the Brazed Spare Short Ribs with grits. The grits were were bland and portion was small for the price charged. My husband had the World's Greastest Fried Chicken Sandwich and said it was good, son had Shrimp & Grits that he said the grits were bland, and daughter had the Baked Mac & Cheese that she said was ok. We also had Brussel Sprouts and Warm Jumbo Pretzel for a starter. Overall not a bad dinner, but we will probably not go back.

The food here is great - you will enjoy it. Limited menu which has plenty of variety. I started with the brussel sprouts and was surprised. The brussel sprouts were deep fried which added way too much oil to the dish. I was hoping for something healthy and instead got oil sponges. This dish can be improved by using another cooking method that isn’t as heavy on the oil. Good thing I had a side caesar salad - which was great! The burger was the star of the show. Everything from the bun to the construction and the beer was top notch. I would return here again but not because of the brussel sprouts!

I’m a salad guy. I’ve had PLENTY of salads from different restaurants in the U.S. I always get grilled chicken in the salad too. The one I had here (and I cannot remember the name of the actual salad!!!!) was REALLY GOOD! We sat at the bar because the place was packed. Great service!

Had Sunday breakfast. It was easy to get a table. The service was attentive and friendly. I always love it when you get your own pot of coffee for the table. A delicious take on biscuits and gravy. Some of the best I've had, a little sweet and savory. It seemed the biscuits might have had some maple syrup on them and there was some cheddar cheese tucked in between the biscuits and gravy. Eggs were prepared well also.

I stopped in town for business the other day staying at the Marriott hotel. At night, I was able to go down to the bar for a night cap. Quinn was able to serve me the most refreshing drink I’ve had in a long time. He was very kind and allows for great conversation.

There really is no Social distancing @ all in the dining area nor the reserved dining area. Although there were MANY Seats available my family & I were virtually IGNORED until potential Caucasian kept coming to the door & upon their seeing Us turned RIGHT back around. I got comfortable & wasn't going to leave til they closed if only to run off other customers in hopes of making them lose enough $ 🤑💰 to where it counted. We don't choose Our Race 👌🏽🤝🏽💅🏾

This one is honestly hard to rate. The food was EXCELLENT. However, the national staff-shortage is apparent here. The staff was very friendly but what brings the score down is the amount of items that they were out of during our visit. We had to settle on a third drink option because the bar was out of so much. It seems that the restaurant isn’t quite ready for it’s re-opening.

Absolutely not my kinda place but I still give it a 5 star. It’s trendy kinda downtown cliche but food was still excellent. Service was outstanding. Very attentive even as it became increasingly busy. Had opinions on food and drink when asked. I can’t say I will or will not be back as I’m not the downtown person but if I’m forced by necessity to be downtown and I’m in the area again I’ll stop back in for a drink and a meal.

Met some family (from South Dakota) there for Saturday brunch and had the best time. The place was not busy, so we could be loud and laugh as much as we wanted. Our server Maria M. was very patient as we did more talking, and had to have her keep returning to take our order The menu was very simple and straight forward, so we did not need to thing to hard about what to eat. Each of our meals was great. Would defiantly try it for dinner.

Seriously- what a fantastic dinner! Excellent service for starters... I wish I could remember his name to give him props (from Green Bay). We got the cheese curds (melt in your mouth!) and brussel sprouts (who knew sprouts could get to this level?) as appetizers. The chop salad was delightful and my sister got a burger which she loved. Then, the butter cake. There are no words. The whole meal from top to bottom was excellent. I can't remember the last time I gave 5 stars... so take me seriously:)

Great food and atmosphere. As a vegetarian, I was a little hesitant because they focus on meat. However, there were several delicious veggie options on both the lunch and dinner menu. It also seems like a great place for a group happy hour because there is a lot of large comfy couches with tables and a decent bar area.

Nice ambience but a bit generic. Service was good, but not overly friendly. A bit too polished for me. Loosen up, kid. It's only lunch!! My friend and I decided to share the calamari fries (great - extra points for the fantastic beer aioli!) and the chop chop salad (their take on a traditional Cobb) which came with a zesty smoked peppercorn ranch dressing. For an entree we split the cherry turkey which had been my friends choice. I am not a big fan of turkey but the Muenster helped drown that out! It was pretty busy for lunch so get there early!

The chicken sandwich was done-deez... They cooked the juices out of that sucker. Unfortunately, I cannot rate this place anything better than 3 stars. The place itself is fairly nice and the service was slightly above average. Nothing special. If I make a trip back, I will provide a new rating, if it is warranted.

My wife and I tried Millioke for the first time on 6-Sep-2013 and had a terrific experience. We tried the Salmon and Pike, both of which were made to perfection and both the coleslaw and barley risotto made for nice sides. We especially enjoyed the bacon-roasted BBQ shrimp which was our recommended appetizer. We experienced great service and our waitress was knowledgeable about the drink menu. We recommend, give it a try!

We came based on the good reviews.recemtly posted by others and our experience was wonderful. We came on a Friday evening and were seated immediately. My wife had the Mac and cheese, which had great texture, with the crunchy bread crumbs/cheese layer on top, the more creamy layer underneath, and the pasta was al dente. I had the Friday fish fry. The fish was the ideal that many places strive for - crunchy coating but not overdone, tender fish inside, but not watery. The accompanying fries were a standard type, no bells and whistles, but with good crunch, no soggy parts. Our server, Marissa, was excellent overall, and helped me pick a local brew beer to pair with it by providing recommendations and samples. Later, the manager, Mark, also came to our table to ask for our reflections on the meal. We had a great conversation and our overall experience compels us to highly recommend that you try East Town Kitchen and Bar.

Went there for our anniversary dinner. Probably the best fine dining restaurant in Milwaukee and one of the top 10 in the Midwest, including Chicago. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you step inside you're in for a treat! Delightful menu. Impeccable service. Pricey, but well worth it. If you're a foodie, Sanford is a "must". Add it to your bucket list.

I've been here twice for happy hour but I don't think I would trouble with anything else. It's not priced well for the quality of food or service. The beer list seems to have declined since I was last there and isn't interesting enough to merit their marketing about it. If you're looking for a well executed place with a similar atmosphere and price point try Rumpus Room.

Visited my boyfriend's family in Milwaukee. And his sister picked this restaurant, and we ordered fried cheese curds as an appetizer. I dont know what they did or where they got their cheese but it was the best cheese curds I have had and they all said the same. We went to lake front brewery which was voted #1 for fried cheese curds but they didnt beat East Town fried cheese curds! Over all the experience was really good. Dim lighting good date night or cocktail/ drinks after work. Love the atmosphere!

Checked I to our hotel and we were looking for a semi late night restaurant that still allowed minor in Downtown Milwaukee. We stumbled onto East Town Kitchen and Bar. We only had appetizers and drinks. But everything we had was flavorful and the fried items were not greasy or heavy. If your looking for a place to check out ETKB is worth trying.

Brand new hotel, so expect it to be clean and nice throughout. Staff was very nice, lobby is very appealing, gym had lots of varied equipment, great linens on the bedding, big screen tvs in the rooms. Beds had firm mattresses. Only real negative was the pool. Very small (10 foot by 14 foot, most backyard pools are bigger) and only 3 foot deep? Can't exercise in it, too small, and can't relax it in because it was too cold (72 degrees), there was no hot tub. Overall, good hotel. Recommended.

This is a great place to grab a bite. They do Milwaukee justice showcasing local food, cheeses, and meats. Makes you proud to be a cheesehead! Great beer selection on tap, and upscale to the extent that they even offer quaint private dining options. Every time I've visited here someone other than our server has formally stopped by to ensure my experience was going well. A really nice touch. Great for dinner or lunch!

An unimpressive place attached to the Marriott. The name and pictures of the pig had me salivating only to crushing disappointment at the terribly made cocktails (I mean they poured sugar into the shaker while making a Manhattan.... really!) and disappointing food (pretty dry pork chop and sludgy grits). The meat and cheese board though was well curated (it would have been nice to know the origins of the cheeses and meats ...) and importantly served at room temp which really brought out the flavors well. The promised fruit chutney just turned out to be a tablespoonfull of cherry jam, but the pickles were quite good.

This hotel just opened the beginning of July 2013. They have worked out all the kinks and runs smoothly. The hotel is beautiful, even smells new! The staff are helpful and very friendly. The fitness center has state-of-art treadmills and elipticals and bikes. They also have free weights and some machines. The food is delicious but the room service menu is too limited. The Executive lounge is still stocking up on variations (no greek yogurt - only fruit on the bottom), but is well stocked. This will be my home-away-from home while in Milwaukee. Well done Marriott!

This place is close to the office, so we go frequently, but I would like more items on the menu to choose from and the sandwiches are over toasted unless you ask for then to do back the grilling a bit, which they do accommodate you on the request. My wife loves the chopped brussel sprout salad.

An upscale eatery on the east side of downtown. Tries to emphasize it's use of meats. The chili as an appetizer was smoky with heat from habanero peppers. It complemented well with a Spotted Cow beer from New Glarus brewery. Dinner was a beef short rib with sweet potato puree and an apple slaw. The beef was buttery smooth and easily taken apart to eat. The sweet potatoes provided a slightly sweet counterpoint and the apple slaw gave a light bitterness that brought it all together. This restaurant is not that close to Old World Third Street, but it's about a 5-7 minute walk from the old Grand Street mall. There are worse trips you could make in search of an upscale experience that won't break the bank. I'd eat here again if I was in the neighborhood and was in the mood for a nice place to eat.

While staying at the Marriott Downtown in Milwaukee, you may find yourself wanting an appetizer or burger along with drinks. Milliken is a great unique restaurant and bar adjoining the hotel. Nice option for me when I stay here! Their burger selection includes some really great options which are out of the ordinary and really hearty. You’ll need several napkins when you work these down, chase each bite down with a frosty drink!

We visited for our first time during Taste & Toast week and sampled three of the "appeteasers", including Pork Belly, Beer Mac ‘n Cheese, and Cheese Curd Poutine. We loved the mac 'n cheese! The poutine was strange - it was cheese curds coated with potatoes instead of the typical cheese curds served over french fries. They have an awesome beer selection and the service and atmosphere were great. We plan to come back!
