The peanut butter paradise and dirtiest Swiss burgers were completely phenomenal. Caught me completely off guard with how good this tasted. The sweet potato fries were trash. But that could be contributed to the next part of my review. While I give the food five stars, the service I received deserved one star at best. Sweet potato fries can only be eaten while hot for me personally. They can’t be reheated and it definitely doesn’t taste the same cold or even room temperature. The sweet potato fries were not hard and somewhat soggy. The young lady that helped me seemed annoyed and there is nothing like trying to get food from someone who makes you feel like you are bothering them. That’s not a big deal though because we all I’ve had bad days and my outlook is always ‘you never know what someone is dealing with either personally or professionally’, so I don’t put too much into that. Where it became a problem is when I was standing at the bar waiting on my food to come out I saw someone come from the back and placed several orders on a rack near the bar. After reading the receipt on the bags because no one was there to hand me mine, I mentioned to my server that I do believe my order is up now. She seemed very busy and said she would get back to me as soon as she helped someone else and I said OK l, which it was. My food was already paid for and I even tipped 20%. All she had to do was read the receipt and hand me my bag. I waited well over five minutes and all I kept thinking is how cold my food was getting. She must’ve walked past me and my bag which I was standing next to at least a half a dozen times. It took me to mention to someone else that I’ve been waiting on my food and can she check the receipt to see if that’s mine and she did so I was on my way. I didn’t want to be rude or confrontational so I let it go. But I can’t understand for the life of me why I did not deserve 15 seconds of attention after my food was paid for and sitting there waiting to go getting colder by the minute. I don’t know what she was going through and maybe the experience of others typically is exactly the opposite. I understand it’s possible I could’ve just came there at a bad time but I do feel like this was worth mentioning. I do drive through this area several times a year and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the mood for a delicious burger. Maybe I’ll try the other location next time

The burgers and tots were amazing. We had the 'we don't talk about Bruno' and the caramelized onion burger with bone marrow butter. I mean, just do it. They have a slaw on their menu as a side. I think it would be a better accompaniment to the menu if it were less creamy and sweet and instead was a bit more acid forward. We also ordered some cheese curds. They were pretty standard but unpleasantly oily for the batch we received. We ended up chucking out most of them. But the staff was friendly and engaging and the atmosphere was fantastic. The bathroom is wallpapered in pages from old cookbooks, which I thought was pretty genius. Overall a delicious calorie splurge of a burger.

If you are in Milwaukee for lunch, check out this hot spot! What a great experience for a bite to eat. My wife and I sat at the bar and ordered lunch. The bar tender was helpful and friendly. We ordered some cold drinks, great beer by the way. I had the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and my wife had the vegan burger. The food was awesome! Thank you for our great experience!

We recently had a chance to check out the original Crafty Cow location in Bayview and it did not disappoint. They have a great, relaxed vibe and this location is housed in a historic venue which really brings the atmosphere to life in a great way. We only had time for an appetizer and we enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower bites. They were delicious! We would definitely recommend checking this location out. They also have great burgers and the buffalo chicken ramen is a clear winner.

The peanut butter burger on the donut bun was phenomenal. I was nervous about the donut, but it wasn't glazed. Great burger. And just look at those sweet potato fries! Big enough to share.

Normally don't leave written/bad reviews, but during this visit was in town, ordered food for pickup. Went back inside to have a drink, as you can see in the photo PLENTY of options, asked the tenders' suggestion, ended up getting a few ice cubes. Upon receiving the bill, no where in our discussion was I told it would be $5 for 3 regular get it out your fridge ice cubes. Good food and good drinks just be advised your ice maybe more then your actual drink.

I've been here probably 5 times with the family. Not sure why I do other than my daughter loves the Mac n cheese. I get there has been inflation cost increases but $62 for 2 burgers, Mac n cheese, and an order of cheese curds (no drinks). For this price is expect higher quality meat and maybe a bit larger size. There are plenty of other places just south of Bay View where you will better food.

Aside from trying to figure out what door to go in we really enjoyed this place. Great fried green tomatoes. Good beer selection. Loved my kimchi burger! So I went back and ordered the poutine. This thing was so ridiculously spicy I change my story and will never go back. I have never in my life not been able to finish a meal because of it being spicy, I think I had 3 bites and was near death. I thought I was losing my mind but everyone at my table tried it and was done at one bite. Maybe its a beer selling gimick because wholly cow we all needed extras after that. Really sucks because I like the place, but I've sat on this update for a month and still sticking with the story.

The place is street parking when we walk in they didn't know where to put us we was 4 Adults 2 children and 2 babies. I can see they can do good with just with 2 or 4 people but not a big family 😅 and the food was really good but the Server that we had was rude and question everything that we asked her to get us making us feel bad for even asking her but that was just our Server the other was really nice and Professional

Fabulous food, amazing cocktail selection, well rounded beer selection. Hubby and I both had the fried onion butter burger, messy as heck, but so good! We split an order of cheese curds and sweet potato waffle fries. Both delicious. We've been ordering delivery for years, and kept meaning to dine in, it's unlikely we we order delivery again, their food is so , so much better fresh and hot. I have to say, nice atmosphere. Not as noisy as their contemporaries. Good stuff, we'll definitely be back.

Great little spot! We went here to grab a bite after realizing that Vanguard wasn't open for dine-in and I'm glad we stopped. They had a super cool collection of old beer cans on the wall. The moveable ladder made me think of an old library. Food was amazing, this photo is of the loaded buffalo cheese curds. We also had the If Looks Could Kale sandwich and I would totally recommend it for adventurous eaters looking for an original burger with unusual toppings. Edit: It appears I cannot leave a second review here, but if I could, I would give the same score. I came back for the second time last week and ordered the Chicken and Waffles.what an incredible blend of sweet and savory! I am so into the honey butter it comes with, and the waffles had a really interesting texture. There seemed to be little sugar crystals in the fluffy part of the waffles...like a little, hidden crunch on the inside. The chicken breast had ample, crispy breading, and I admire how the rosemary really contributed to the overall balance of flavors. My advice to those who try this dish would be to go easy on the syrup; the waffles and honey butter are already quite sweet. All in all, definitely the most luxurious chicken and waffles I've ever had.

I'm so impressed by the food quality... coming from Chicago I always assumed we are the only town around with the best quality food but man this place got real delicious food and I gotta tell you the Nashville Hot Sauce is real hot. Like it's gonna burn you good! Watch out. Definitely try their corn muffin!

My wife told me that her Fancy Chicken Sandwich was the best chicken sandwich she's ever had! I absolutely love the chicken and waffles. I couldn't stop eating. Even though I was full. It's a delightful spot for a burger and/or chicken. Possibly a little loud for some, but a wonderful dinner for us.

Got the Mac Big Bowl with fried chicken and it was excellent! I thought they'd cut up a chicken tender like most places, but it's half a chicken breast! So I have a to go box of great Mac and cheese on my fridge for a future meal. The chicken is crispy and flavorful. The mac and cheese sauce tastes great and is nice and gooey. Pure comfort food.

Can't say enough about this place for lunch. I had the lunch special, was to pick an entree (about 7-8 to choose from... sandwiches, burger, chicken), side and drink. Received 3 large pieces of southern fried chicken (wing/leg/breast) and received a huge pile of tots. Chicken was fresh and had nice flavor. My wife had the honey butter chicken biscuit and mac/cheese, both excellent. We had an outstanding server named Robin. Will definitely return!

Food was very tasty. The Asian/Latin fusion menu was really good. It was the first time my daughter had fried chicken, and went on a five minute speech about how delicious a food it was. Overall, a great menu and solid choices. Appreciated the eco friendly to go containers! The only downsides: -portions a bit small, no sides come with sandwiches -sandwich buns were cut in half fully, and sandwiches weren’t wrapped in paper inside they were sitting on, so were a mess to reassemble/eat

Great cheese curds! We came here on a Saturday evening with a group of 5 people. Was able to get seated immediately. Time from ordering to receiving our entrées was about an hour. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Also, it was very loud inside. Not sure if it's the room acoustics, but I felt we had to yell across the table to hear each other. Overall, it had solid food options! But atmosphere wise, not my cup of tea.

In the words of my daughter, this place is meh.... They used to have great chicken, but that is gone. Very few menu choices. The drinks are terribly over priced and without much alcohol. It was a place I liked very much in the past, but would not return now.

The atmosphere was great. The service was good and the food was awesome. We had a server named Jess and she was amazing. She took our orders and didn't write anything done and it felt like to me she was the only one taking orders in the place. We had the brunch menu which had a nice variety and the reg menu had something for everyone. I had poutine which was my first time having it but they used tator tots instead of fries and it was very good. My one daughter had chicken and waffles and the chicken breast was about as big as she is. My other daughter had a hot boy and it was spicy but she enjoyed it and as we were going home she said she could still taste it and it was a good mix of seasoning. My other daughter had the pigscuit and she enjoyed it. I would definitely come back and dine again. It's a in a great location and they even had out door seating. Give them a try if u want something different. I happened to see them driving by on my to the barbershop.

Was happy took the brother, grandkids, and son to eat there on our way to drop off a car. It was crowded but they got us in without reservations right away. Reminds me of days years ago when I and the group of friends would go to such places. Strange that the atmosphere and people seemed not to change. Good place to take dates it appears. Went for a late lunch on Saturday. My guest and I both ordered the shawarma "tacos" and they were effing amazing. We got a burger to go and even though by the time we got home it wasn't hot anymore, the lucky recipient took a bite and said simply, "Wow " The food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared, the seasoning was spot on, and the service was great too. The portions are generous and the prices are fair. Will be back!

I am a first time customer. This place was excellent. The atmosphere was very cool and inviting. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. I had Southern Fried Chicken and it was well prepared and tasty. Easy to find and parking can be tricky. Great place for a great lunch with friends. Make sure to try the cheese curds.

Very good. I had the Dirtiest Swiss burger and it was perhaps the best burger I have ever had. Cheese curds were also amazing. The only improvement that could be made is that the chairs were uncomfortable. Even though, certainly five stars.

Amazing buggers, very unique flavors. The cheese and toppings were inside the patties. Once I picked it up and started eating, I couldn't put it down. The sides were also great. The cheese curds have a very light breading. Dipping sauses were perfect! I will be back!

The hostess pointed us to put table which was a weird start. 4 menus on the table and no indication or explanation of what each is for, so would have been nice if the hostess had walked us over and explained. I never found the NA drink options (juice, soda, tea). My husband got the chicken sandwich which was good but lots of breading - not a bad deal if you like that. I got the breakfast poutine and it's served in a dish that's hard to work with, and I needed a knife to get through the cheese curds. I would have liked a lot more gravy, too. Overall, I got the feel that some people have a great experience here while others are left underwhelmed like I was.

The atmosphere and wait stuff were good. I got the "If Looks Could Kale" burger which was really good but I was a little disappointed that it didn't come with the Harvest greens and grilled artichoke specified on the menu. I'm the type of person that doesn't make a fuss when the order is wrong, so I didn't say anything to the waitress. But overall, I highly recommend the Crafty Cow, it was delicious.

Music was way too loud for the size of the room and number of guests in the room. We were a party of 4. Two had burgers, and 2 had mac and cheese with chicken breast. My wife had hers with the volcano sauce, complained it was so hot it burned her throat and couldn't finish it. While I got mine with out the heat, I did finish mine but it tasted as something was missing,e.g.super bland like the cheeses came out of a can in liquid form. You know the kind that are yellow but tasteless. I have had better mac and cheese other places and for less, not to mention at home. You know I still like this place, the vibe, the burgers,etc. I just think something is amiss on some things. I still feel as my first review that they out to do a gator tail burger!

Just wow! They squeezed my husband and I in right before close. Exceptional, knowledgeable service. Food came out quick and was piping hot! Their chicken is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I went to this place a couple days ago just to try something new. The restaurant/bar itself is pretty cool looking on the inside. The staff was friendly. I ordered the Big Poppa burger which was DELICIOUS. Best burger I have had in a while. My boyfriend had the Shrimp Po Boy which he said was really good. The only thing I wish they had was sides for your meal like fries or something. Not just the burger. Other than that, it was really good food. Would definitely come again.

After some fits and starts, the cow has become a pretty cool place to eat. The juicy Lucy's are really good, and the chicken from hothead (same place but different??) Is really good as well. The wings were good in the past but as with everywhere else, have gotten prohibitively expensive. Game day specials for badgers and Packers are great and the TV's are plentiful enough to watch the games. Will be back for more game days.

We’ve watched this place evolve over the past several years and am happy to say I believe they’ve hit the perfect combination of atmosphere, great food, nice beer selection, and really good service. We were there last night. I had the bacon and cheddar burger which was juicy and delicious without even adding ketchup or mustard, hubby had chicken which he enjoyed and we both had the 3rd space happy place beer. Place was hopping but staff was friendly attentive and stayed on top of things. Over all, great experience. We’ll be back!

We visited on a Wednesday evening for the "cheap date" menu. Entrance is a little hard to find, but there are signs and the sister restaurants (Crafty Cow & Hot Head Chicken) are making the best use of space due to COVID. Our burgers were delicious, but the star was the Nashville hot poutine. I could eat this everyday... and I don't even love spicy foods! Wed. dinner special was a great deal for everything we got.

This place is AMAZING! Service was exceptional. I wish we had gotten our servers name but we failed. She had a long dreaded ponytail though if that helps. We had the Vietnamese Brussel Sprouts. Great place. I can't go without getting the Nashville got chicken sandwich. It's always amazing. The chicken and waffles is my wife's favorite. If you're craving fried food, this is a good choice. Really great process for carside ordering and pickup, too

I had the best hot chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. My partner got chicken and waffles and said about their experience "This Waffle Has Secrets" because it was so, so good. 10/10 would recommend. Oh yeah, great beer selection too! And they're restaurant is completely wheelchair accessible through the door on Lenox.

I would give this place a 10 out of 5 if I could. The food was fresh, PHENOMENAL, and very clearly made in house. I was not disappointed in a single thing from the chicken to the burgers and from the mac n’ cheese to mashed potatoes (+some curds). Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. On top of all this, my burger had an egg on it and our lovely bartender/server, Rosemary, heard they were out of eggs and went out of her way to leave and go get some eggs so that the other patrons and I could have exactly what we ordered. My only complaint would be how pricey it is, but the food was so filling and good I would never give the prices a second glance.

I think this place has the best burgers I have ever tasted. I think its the fresh beef they use, but whatever it is, its awesome. Bar are is good, it could use a little more variety in beers though. Not everyone is a fan of IPAs and this place has a bunch on tap. Its busy but worth it.

We started with cheese curds and ordered the southsider and the bone marrow butter burger, which were all delicious. Really solid buns, buttered and toasted, great toppings, well cooked and seasoned burgers. On top of this, their menu was full of exciting flavors and we had so many that we wanted to try. Great experience. We'll be back!

Nice, but not amazing. The staff and service was great, but the food was slightly disappointing. It looks so good in the pictures online, and sounds so good when you read the menu, but the burgers themselves fall short. It comes down to the meat, there's just no flavor to the actual burger. The toppings add taste, don't get me wrong, but the beef itself is missing any flavor.

Very crafty food. I haven't been there yet, but my doordash driver has, so the ambiance remains a mystery to me. But the Nashville Hot Poutine is an amazing and large dish - a meal by itself. Chicken and waffles is a perfect specimen of that genre. And my wife has found a source of deliciously basic chicken sandwiches here that doesn't come with the guilt of spending money that feeds the Chick-fil-A social agenda.

Unique burger options that made me feel excited to see a different type of burger! They also have build your own burger choices for less adventurous ones 👍 The service is not the best, staff overworked and not the most friendly. Tables dirty with crumbs. Fried chicken and macaroni was great, as well as the cheese curds. However, atmosphere is not that great so my rating is a 3.

This is by far my favorite burger joint in Milwaukee. They have amazing food and it's hard to go wrong with any of the burgers on their menu (most have cheese baked in the middle 🤯). Their regular or loaded cheese curds are also awesome. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome burger spot. You can also now order the Hot Head Chicken dishes from the same menu so a great spot for the fried chicken lovers in your group as well!

We went for the first time with high hopes. The beer, Bloody Marys, and burgers did not disappoint....they were all amazing and delicious. Unfortunately, the service was breathtakingly slow. We were sort of greeted from across the room by someone very engrossed in their phone. It took awhile but a server did come over. To her credit, she was very nice, knowledgeable about the beers and burvers, and generally very pleasant. It took forfreakinever to get our food but it ended up being worth it. Everything was great.

I'm really torn here. The food is really good, on the other hand, the service is some of the worst we've had in Milwaukee. My wife and I live two blocks away and now we regularly walk by Crafty Cow/Hot Head to go to another area restaurant because the service has absolutely terrible 3-4 times now. Again, the food is really good. The poutine of the moment is their weekly poutine creation, and their stuffed burgers area really unique. The fried chicken from Hot Head Chicken (attached to Crafty Cow) and the same owners I believe is also very good. But again, how is the service this bad? Personally after having been there probably 5-7 times in total I would blame the number of employees working. We have regularly seen one bartender and maybe 1-2 waiters/waitresses for a full restaurant who are potentially servicing both sides (Crafty Cow and Hot Head). There also seems to be a somewhat lengthy wait for food here both when busy and not very busy.

Good burgers. A little bit pricey. UPDATE 2/19/18 Had the burger of the month which is the chicken fried burger. Over all it was tasty. The breading was good. The mozzarella in the burger was good. Bacon was good. It was overcooked to the point where it crumbled and needed to be eaten with a fork. There might have been a teaspoon of gravy. It had soaked into the bun in the 5 min it took to get home. Glad the breading was tasty. Will stick with True Grit, which is delicious, going forward.

Previous pics showed fries and they are not listed as a separate side. Got the burgers, no fries. Very disappointing considering the price of the burgers. Burgers were good, chicken sandwich was good. Brusselsprout side was very tasty. Considering the cost and no fries, glad we tried it but will probably never go back.

The menu here is so great. Tons of niche options that are hard to find but unforgettable once you've experienced them - nashville hot chicken, monte cristo's (as a burger!), poutine, peanut butter and "jelly" on a burger. A great time for foodies! I tried the nashville hot poutine, which was VERY rich. The tots alone seem to have so much flavor. The cheese curds were excellent and the pickles are a great touch. To me, this is nothing like a poutine and moreso loaded tots. Hey, no complaints here. I also tried two burgers: the true grit and peanut butter paradise. The quality of the meat was immediately apparent. Both burgers were well balanced in terms of flavor, but the peanut butter paradise in particular was really memorable and parked with nuanced flavor. I can't wait to come back and try more.

I work right around the corner and never heard of this place- before I started looking for the best burger I could get my hands on and it’s like this place just fell in my lap. Like I said, best burger I can get my hands on. Since I work a couple blocks away I ordered delivery for the convince and was shocked with not only the flavor, but the aroma. I ordered a “Big Poppa” and a side of fries and 20 minutes later the order was at my door. I didn’t even get a chance to finish eating before I had to give them a call to give my compliments and leave this review. I was pleasantly surprised with a lunch that was able to brighten a gloomy day and fill the hunger of a lumberjack. Crafty Cow has definitely done their part to earn a returning customer and friends!

We visited the Crafty Cow during the block party in Bay View this weekend and had a great time in every way. The ambience was fun - comfortable, rustic, and humble. The beer selection was diverse and delicious, and the food was to die for. I recommend the Mac and cheese with Tennessee hot chicken on top. The fried green tomatoes and cheese curds were bomb too. It’s also definitely worth mentioning that the service kept up well with a huge amount of customers, as it was packed last night with standing room only for a while. Well worth the wait!

What a menu! Before Crafty Cow, Lakefront Brewery was by far the best cheese curds I’ve had in Milwaukee. Crafty Cow now takes the curd. Soft, huge, and light on breading. Fried pickles were great too. Menu has so many choices my fiancé and I will definitely be going back. Fantastic burger selection and entree selection paired with nice beers, all for a reasonable price. Our waitress was new, but friendly. Similar to other reviews, 2 ppl were working the bar and serving tables, but we didn’t have any drawn out waits for food. New hot spot for us!

Definitely giving restaurants a lot of credit and away when it comes to everything as we navigate life during this pandemic however I do have a few sticking points. Food: overall good! Portions for sides and apps are HUGE and got wasted because we didn’t realize how big they were. Also, way too liberal with the salt! Service: if you don’t want an extended wait for takeout, don’t go on a Friday or Saturday. Service: the FOH manager (I think) tonight was so overwhelmed which led to him being really short with staff and customers. Again totally get the stress but the stomping around and almost pushing people out of the way made us canceling half our to go order and leave because of wait times and didn’t want to witness it.

I would have left 5 stars but the hostess was rude. Luckily we still gave it a chance. When we entered the bar area the hostess abruptly told us she was sending us upstairs to the back dining area when there were clearly plenty of tables available. My husband questioned the stairs and she said there are only 4. There is a lift in the back for future reference. He asked because he wears a brace and sometimes stairs are difficult. So we went to the back and the bartender/server questioned if the hostess had sent us back there. We said yes even though we wanted the bar area. She sat us and took our order. She was professional and prompt. We had bloody Mary's which were good and the poutine which was tasty. Chicken wings were also good. Overall sitting in the dining area was fine. However the hostess attitude was off putting.

So I rarely do written reviews and just do stars but felt I had to for this one. First time there with girlfriend. Food was amazing, arguably best chicken we've had in Milwaukee. We had the Shishito peppers app and chicken sandwiches. App was super tasty, especially the garlic aoli. Chicken breast was huge, juicy, and breading was on point. Nashville hot sauce was extremely flavorful and spicy. Service is what killed us/this review. I worked in the service industry for most of my 20s so I get how much it/people can suck. But... Only 4 people in there on a Monday night and we ordered our app and chicken sandwiches at 7:40. App didn't come until 8:15 and there were 2-3 GrubHub orders that were done before ours. I get it, priority, but not once did our server apologize for the 35 minute wait for some grilled peppers on a slow night. When our entrees came 15-20 minutes later, they were delivered by I believe one of the cooks and he was basically walking away as he dropped off the sandwiches without asking if there was anything else needed. I hate being that guy/an uptight ahole but I had to do this. Not to drive people away, because the food is amazing and atmosphere very cool (rustic/old feel, lots of old school beer cans displayed). But I don't want a cool place with great food to lose any customers! We will be going back because who knows why it was bad service, so many different things can happen. Here's to hoping for a better second service time!

Stopped in quick for some cheese curds and ending up having an old fashioned to go with it. It was just one of those rainy days where you have a craving for something, and it was the 3rd place I had stopped looking for good cheese curds. Not only were they FANTASTIC and reasonably priced, but I ended up being served by the owner himself. A very personable gentleman whom which I converse with while enjoying an excellent whiskey old fashioned, and as a man who's gone far and wide searching for the best, that compliment does not come lightly. We visited Crafty Cow/Hot Head Fried Chicken with the Milwaukee Beer Society for a beer and wing pairing event. I had been wanting to check out both places for a while, so I was happy to have an excuse to do so! The service was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, the beer was good, and food was delicious. They offer Trivia on Wednesdays, so our group had a good time participating in this as well. The menu has a good selection of standard Wisconsin pub food with burgers and entrees, but the fried chicken options stand out. We started off with the cheese curds (delicious, light, and buttery) and moved on to the wing pairing. We sampled the following sauces: Honey Wasabi, Maple Bacon, Buffalo Dry Rub, White BBQ, Nashville Hot, and Carolina Gold. The winner of the evening for our group was the Nashville hot, closely followed by the Buffalo Dry Rub. The Nashville hot was definitely spicy but did have almost a nice bit of sweet honey taste underneath the top layer. The Buffalo Dry Rub was phenomenal as well. The Honey Wasabi was probably third, and while the other sauces were good, I felt the top three were a bit above. The White BBQ was distinctly vinegar-esqe, the Maple Bacon was good but a little odd with the bits of bacon on it (just a little confusing for the taste buds on a chicken wing), and the Carolina Gold was mustard-y (as it is supposed to be, but just not wild about it). The location has a great tap list with a lot of unique local and regional beers to choose from. Check out their happy hour between 4:30 and 6:30PM, which included $1 off tap pours, $5 cheese curds, and some other solid-looking drink specials. Wednesdays also featured trivia and 50 cent wings, and after trying so many wings, this would be worth a Wednesday visit to have more! We didn’t try the Peri Peri Rub or Chili Lime also mentioned on the menu, and I would like to return to have those flavors as well as check out some of the other delicious-looking options. As a barber myself, I know how difficult customer service can be- especially when it's a busy! Not sure if Elise is a manager or not, but man she was on top of things! Not only was she serving the bar and most of the tables, but she was stocking the bar too! Very impressed at her multitasking and the fact that she was still able to interact with her customers. Keep her around because people with good work ethics and attitudes like hers don't come around often. I love this place for my weekly cheat meal because the food is fantastic/bottomless mimosas, but the customer service surpasses it!

Was told to go have lunch, try something you like normally, but put a twist on it, so I get this amazing true grit, when they say cheese MOOOOOOOOOOO is what I hear because man is it packed! Brunch & a cold beer! My friend tried the "Fancy Chicken" in Honey Butter and Nashville hot. They liked the honey butter one best! I got the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and the chicken was truly the star. It was so crunchy and flavorful. Biscuit basically fell apart and made a mess but it was still yummy. I had their Crafty Cow Lager and it was so smooth and refreshing. Paired great with the chicken.

I have visited this establishment before and I enjoyed myself although the wait time is a little high. Just recently I went in to pick up a meal for my boyfriend and the bartender barely acknowledged me. I’m not sure if this was because I look kind of young or if he was stereotyping me as not tipping (yes I am black). But the call to start the order was made at 7:01 PM, we waited for about 15 minutes before arriving and I did not leave out until 7:32 PM. It was not until I checked in with a female employee that he (the bartender) attempted to tend to this matter. He even took it upon himself to sit at a table with white men and gladly take their order. He handed me my receipt without saying thank you and walked away. I felt bad for not tipping but that was a very uncomfortable experience and I will not support them in any fashion this day forward. Food great, customer service not so much. P.S My boyfriend is white and I wonder if his privilege allowed me to enjoy my other experiences better than this one.

This was my very first time trying The Crafty Cow. I ordered the fancy chicken sandwich (spicy) which I have been craving for a few days. I used door dash and I live in hales corners so that’s about a twenty minute drive from Bay View. Let me just say this was hands down the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was cooked perfectly, the seasoning was just so on point I can’t make it up. And it was soo crispy but not hard crunchy crispy just the perfect crunch backed with a ton of flavor. Omg and the loaded cheese curds. The curds were in the soggy side most likely due to the excess oil plus being inside of the container during transport lmbo. But the brisket omg to die for!!! The Mac n cheese the bbq sauce!!! Ok I’m done just please go to CRAFTY COW ASAP!!! You’ll thank me later.

Nice change of pace from the typical burger. Great variety you won't find anywhere else. I had the chorizo your own adventure which was the cow of the moment. beef blended with Chorizo & topped with sweet corn & black bean pico, guacamole and a chipotle basil aioli.
