Stopped by for a drink on our Pub pass. Wasn't much going on at the bar/restaurant due to horrible weather. Service was quick and very good. Your selection is excellent on tap. We did not eat but the menu looked really intriguing. Amazing they have a $5 Burger during a happy hour. Interested in coming back to see how the food is.

I was told the burgers here were phenomenal. I asked the bartender what her favorite item on the menu was, she suggested the Baja sandwich. Which is like a Alabama style chicken sandwich. Similar to white barbecue sauce. The sandwich is massive, I would’ve preferred the sandwich as in the meat be covered in the sauce but it was just a little bit on top, juicy pickles and flavorful fries. My sandwich was a tad bit heavy on the salt, I informed the bartender and she kindly took it off the bill. A sweet gesture. I also tried the burger, the meat was juicy and it had great flavor. The watermelon salad is definitely an acquired taste, but worth a try. You’ll definitely be full when you leave, can’t honestly say I had anything that would make me come running back, but the service was excellent. Maybe the new locations has different items. I’ll be back one day

My husband and I dined here after work Monday because it's $5 burger night. We generally enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Camino's looked very appealing from the outside and inside. Our hostess was very sweet and frequently checked in when she could. She was super knowledgeable of the menu. She remembered our order without taking notes, and had it brought out in a timely matter. Overall, we had a good time and parking was definitely hard to find late at night.

Really enjoyed Camino! Great selection of beers on tap. Fried pickles and cheese curds were excellent. The steak sandwich was tender and the Nashville chicken sandwich was crispy and hot.

Stopped in for their Monday special, $5 burgers. The taste was amazing, they’re big, and cooked to order. Great beer selection and our bartender Layne was outstanding, friendly, fast service, and great drinks. Will definitely be back to try some of their out-of-the-box menu options.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Amazing beer, great service, good location, decent prices. The Cubanski is out of this world delicious!! (We are from Florida and know what a good cuban tastes like) The cheese curds were the best we have had in Wisconsin and their fries may look like an eye sore but are just perfection. Highly, highly recommend, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would gladly!

Thoroughly enjoyed this visit en route to the airport. It’s worth the stop and a highly recommended return visit. Kate, who was tending to the bar, was welcoming, super friendly and attentive. The food was very good and had read this were some of the best cheese curds in Milwaukee. Admittedly, I’m not from Wisconsin but I’ve had my fair share of cheese curds. These were the best IMO. Noticed the Kimchi Grilled Cheese along some of the very creative menu items and just had to try. After the cheese curds and then the Kimchi Grilled Cheese, I was in a cheese coma but worth every bite. Highly recommend this place if you are anywhere near. It’s also an interesting part of town with a lot of local business in a revitalized part of downtown.

Surprisingly good place to eat, server was very friendly and helpful. Cheese curds among the best we have had here in Milwaukee. Monday they do 5 dollar burgers which are literally insanely good deal and feel like you are robbing them. Definitely a chill spot to have a nice dinner

I have been here more than 10 times in the last 3 years. This place is worth a stop. I consistently have a good time when I stop in walkers point. The people are personable and friendly. Kind service. We split some potato/cheddar pierogi. A Cubanski. The Beer Pear Salad. You are missing out if you don't get this salad. Everything was delicious. The pierogi is crisp. The sandwich was on point. The salad was surprising. Unfortunately our last adventure here was rushed as we had to be somewhere by 800p. We sat at the bar and the speed of our service was perfect. I really appreciated the accommodation. They're open until 1000p and have daily specials

What can I say? This is one of the have-to stops in Milwaukee. Amazing burgers and solid fries! Don’t sleep on their cheese curds!

I am a big Camino proponent.. The food is constitently great. They have good daily specials. Occasionally there kitchen gets a bit backed up so food can be a bit slow coming out but that is to be expected with staffing there days. I highly recommend them.

Started off with cheese curds, asked of they were cheddar which they said yes but when they arrived they were white. The drinks were a bit watered down for my liking as well. Pictured is the Milton Philly which was rather lackluster. Got the 1/2 lb burger, asked for medium and over done onions with extra cheese. Onions were barely cooked, hardly any cheese, and burger came out medium rare. The burger was also very greasy.

Camino is a cool, hip bar serving American food and a really decent variety of craft beer, mostly local. It's not a terribly large place and it is popular. The addition of the outside, covered area is nice, as well on warmer nights. I would highly recommend the poutine as it is probably one of the best we have ever had! The chorizo gravy is amazing and we loved the crispy french fries that stayed crispy even under all the weight of that gravy! A meal in and of itself! The clam chowder was decent and full of flavor. We enjoyed our wings, as well. They were grilled, although my Nashville Hot were slightly over cooked, I still got decent heat and steamy, juicy chicken underneath. Overall, a good experience with friendly staff. If you go, before seven is great if your looking to get in right away. After seven and you may have a but of a wait, but who wouldn't want to wait for yummy poutine!

Great place. We go there after the State Fair for wind down and something good to eat. Staff is great. They all work together. You just don't have your waiter/waitress. They all help out. They are also Vegan friendly. I gave them only 4 stars because they aren't close enough to to us. Otherwise, it would be a 5!

Discovered Camino from Google since we needed to find restaurants open on July 4th. So thrilled we stopped in!! Definitely not a place that tourists like us would have discovered had I not looked at G Maps. We love pierogies and that worked out well since Sunday is $.50 pierogies. We ordered the 2 on the menu as well as the featured one which was a sweet cheese. One basket of 5 pieces for $2.50...yes please!! All of them were amazing. Also got the fried cheese curds (because Wisconsin), the Brussels Sprouts Grinder, and the Grilled Cheese. The Grinder was unexpectedly delicious and something I'll remember for a while. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the superb service. This place is unpretentious and the staff is down to earth. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for something different.

Camino is simply fantastic. Whether it’s the summertime and I’m enjoying their back patio or 0 degrees and snow storming, it’s always a pleasant spot. I’ve been trying to patronize bi-weekly with the covid shutdowns and am eating through their menu. Let me say I haven’t had a dish I haven’t absolutely loved. My side salad was their beet salad - loved the balance of the candied walnuts and the vinaigrette! I can see myself ordering this as a main at some point! I love that they have vegetarian options as well! A few months back I took a friend from Chicago and tried the Brussels Sprout Grinder, really tasty! They have amazing Brussels as a side so I knew that the sandwich would be great as well. While it had great flavor, it was kind of bread heavy - I’d give it a 4/5 and is probably the dish I’ve been least stoked about. We also split a fried pickle appetizer and they were hot and crispy and soooo good with the Cajun remoulade. After having such a good experience with the fried pickle appetizer, I tried their fried pickle po boy for pick up - just as amazing as the appetizer but somehow even better since it’s a hot sandwich. Crispy, crunchy, and a little kick from the remoulade! I’ve also tried their Miltown Portobello and hot DANG that cheese sauce is amazing! Good balance of mushrooms and peppers + onions. If you’re on the fence, go for it. Now I know it sounds like I eat here everyday but this is definitely a write up of visits over the last two years. What I’m saying is, Camino is an amazing spot for food and it’s a fantastic addition to the Walker’s point neighborhood. Eat here. You’ll be happy you did. (Also their pierogis are out of this world. Go on Sunday, they’re $0.50 a piece)

(on happy hour special too) I would highly recommend their Bulleit house old fashioned. They have a beautiful outdoor patio to check out in the summer! Very friendly amazing staff. Amazing local Milwaukee restaurant, that I would highly recommend!

After a disappointing stop at our hotel for dinner, we branched out for a casual dinner. We saw Camino had good reviews so we figured we’d check it out. We weren’t sure what to expect when we walked up to a narrow, dark building next to a cigar bar that doubles as a ghost tour hub. We sat down a high top and were immediately greeted by a bartender/waiter, Jacqyln. She was very friendly and inviting and made us feel welcome instantly. We ended up ordering the Brussel Sprout Grinder (brussels, apple, cheddar, walnut butter, served on a french roll) with fries and the Korean BBQ wings (mild heat with sweet soy and ginger) with a side of brussel sprouts. This place really digs brussel sprouts and they do them well. Everything we ate was delicious but the side of brussel sprouts was easily our favorite; crispy, flaky, not-your-freezer-aisle-served-in-a-mug brussel sprouts. The wings had phenomenal flavor and the fries were seasoned perfectly. If we had to pick, the sandwich was our least favorite only because the sprouts weren’t as crispy as the side. Pair all of that with a laidback setting, great service, and reasonable prices and you’ve got a recipe for a neighborhood staple. We even recommended it to another couple we met out who texted us to say thank you for the recommendation. Cannot speak highly enough about this place!

Great bites. The pork belly appetizer was very good and my panko sandwich also great. Good beer selection as well. My only setback here (and barely) is that it is very loud a lot of the time so conversations are a bit hard. This is more of a heads up if you're looking for a quieter time.

Came here today on a Monday. The burger is the special for $5. Best burger I ever had!!! We also ordered the wings with the fries. She got the dry rub and I ordered a side of there Nashville sauce with it. It has a nice heat to it. But the heat doesn’t stick around. Great food! Didn’t care much for the shoe string fries. Just not my preferred fry. The cooks I watched Bryant and ward:). They are busting there butts delivering great food!! great job! Excellent all around. Server was great as well! Will return.

Had a burger that was cooked excellent. Also tried the kimchee sandwich which was a nice surprise, full of great flavor ranges and filling. The brussel sprouts are excellent, friend and seasoned to perfection. Milwaukee has some good spots for brussels and this is my #2. The beer list offers good variation and is fairly priced. Will definitely stop in again.

Got their burger, loaded up with onion, greens, Mayo, tomato, pickle. And side salad instead of fries. The salad was very filling and pretty special, it wasn't your average salad out of a bag and dressing. This had lots of unique things in it and was tasty. The burger was less food. Toppings were fine etc, the patty wasn't great though. They cook it on a grill so it had a very dry and charred almost bitter taste, even though I asked for it medium. Waitress was nice. The place was VERY loud, kind of caused by the people but also the speakers were maxed out. The place could benefit from more sound deadening on the ceiling and walls to make it less loud and echoey.

If I told you we drive to Milwaukee from Chicago to eat some cheese curds you probably wouldn't believe me. BELIEVE IT! So Good! They have juicy tasting burgers too! Beer selection does not slack!! We came here to check out the burgers and ended up falling in love with everything on the menu! The shaved crispy Brussels sprout side was deliciously seasoned and crispy. We loved the poutine too. Definitely craveable food and we will be back soon!

This place has the hardest working hood vent in Milwaukee. The folks working the tiny kitchen behind the bar make food faster and better than kitchens 10 times their size with 10 times the staff, dine-in or carryout. Nice patio when the weather allows, good vibes, good drinks, can't recommend this place enough. Good enough to order carry-out for sure. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts and the shroom bahn mi. They win best pub food awards every year for good reason. Try the food and tip well. Cheers.

The first time I came to Camino I LOVED it. The food was amazing and the service was even better. They accommodated all our needs so well and did not miss a beat. The beer selection is also spot on (at least for my taste) and I love that they do it through Untappd. However, the second time we went it was Mac n Cheese night - it was highly recommended that we try the Mac n Cheese and I have to admit I was very disappointed. For something to be so highly recommended, I expected it to be better. We will still be back for sure, but maybe not soon! Try the cheese curds and brussels sprouts for sure!

Camino is fantastic! Their menu is smaller but not without options, and the food is delectable. The service was great as well. We sat at the bar and got to talk with the chef, who was very grateful for our compliments, and we had multiple servers and bartenders serving us at the same time. Very friendly and relaxing place to have a great meal and a beer for a decent price. Next time we will definitely sit outside in the back area! I highly recommend the Smoky Annie, and the Nashville chicken! We also ordered a perogi which my Italian husband couldn't stop raving about, and fried pickles! Definitely recommend this place. 👌

Really good food with lots of options. I had the nashville hot chicken sandwich which was great and some cheese curds (amazing). They have a good tap beer list and I saw that they had a pretty decent selection of bourbon. The staff were really polite and fast with service. Will definitely return to try something else.

The food and service were good. My 2 guests loved everything. The only thing we had to ask was to have the bathroom doors closed which were 10 feet across from our table area. They need to put auto closers on those doors so people don't have to ask, look at, or experience anything while attempting to dine and enjoy a meal.

Splendid time had at The Camino. The Phat Tony was excellent, and the Nashville wings were some of the best wings I have ever had, I’d bath in said sauce. They had great fries, good seasoning on them, thin straight cut. They have a special for $5 burgers which they were really good as well, but be sure to add your toppings on it because I think it only comes with cheese....? Which I did not realize. They also have craft beers, im not a huge fan of craft beers but my s/o thought they were delicious

Visited Camino for dinner after getting a recommendation from the guys at Great Lakes Distillery. We anticipated a wait since it was a Friday night, but we were seated right away. Drinks were great and food was amazing. Definitely recommend the cheese curds! Burger was sooo good as was the grilled cheese.

I went to Camino on a busy Saturday night. We were seated right away, and our friendly server took our orders. The beer selection was great! I always like to try different beer, and I had many options to choose from. Lots of local offerings! We waited a long time for our food, but it was very good. I ordered the burger for my meal, and it was delicious. I got fries for my side, and they were pretty good (very big portion). I'd like to go back to try other things on the menu.

Finally got to Camino. Shame on me for taking so long to get there. My second visit might be tomorrow! I heard about the burger and it did not disappoint. Charred outside and perfectly medium inside. It is without a doubt among the best burgers in town. Wife had the Nashville chicken which was also excellent. Waitress and other staff were super nice. See you soon!

The whole family went (ages 9 to 61) and even though it looks like a bar, everyone felt comfortable. Everyone loved their meal. I don't think you could go wrong with any selection. Great staff, service took 30 minutes so don't go there with very hungry kids.

I have lived a couple of blocks away for a couple of years now, but today was my first visit. My Parents came up from Fox Lake to take me out for lunch. I Googled "West Allis lunch" and saw so many great reviews and figured it would be a nice place to try. None of us had anything at all to complain about. We had a table next to the wide open windows on a beautiful day and we all LOVED our food (Mom = burger: Dad = Pierogi: Me = Ahi sandwich). Great atmosphere and food, and even better service. Jay (I think), our waiter was amazing. My wife loves sauerkraut and was going to order a sandwich with kraut on it but wasn't sure about the type so we asked Jay about it. He goes in the kitchen and brings out a small cup of it for her to sample. I then asked him about a certain local beer. He disappears for a minute and comes back with about a 4 ounce sample. Loved it and we ordered two glasses. He also highly recommended the bar poutine and we ordered it and it was amazing. All the food was to die for. That's what I call great customer service. That and he kept our water glasses topped off and checked on us every few minutes with a very sincere smile the whole time. You could tell he really enjoyed his job. Unfortunately we'll probably never be back as this was a once in a lifetime trip to the Milwaukee area. Lots of fun memories though and this was way up on the top of our list. Very cozy with lots of atmosphere. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

It was a Monday afternoon in Milwaukee. We had just finished the Beyond Van Gogh exhibit at the Wisconsin Center. A late lunch was part of our plans. But when we checked on our go-to places, they were all closed on Monday. Lulu's, Triskeles, Buckley's, Maxi's - all closed. A Google search of "best restaurants near me" led us to Camino in Walkers Point as one of a very few open eateries. We came away very happy with our choice! Camino offers some great daily specials; $5 burgers on Mondays. But, instead of the burger (which looked fantastic!), I opted for the Cubanski sandwich with a side of crispy brussels. My wife ordered the Phat Tony (Italian beef) with a "small watermelon salad". Please note, her salad was nearly dinner size! Everything was delicious. Based on our meals - and seeing the food others around us were enjoying, I don't think you can go wrong at Camino. Additionally, the wait staff is friendly, the pub itself has a kind of fun and funky vibe, and they offer a nice selection of craft beers. We'll be going back again sometime soon.

A group of us went to Camino for lunch on 9/19. The special today was a black and blue burger so I got that and the cheese curds. I have to say the beer menu is impressive and I had to get back to work or else I would've indulged. The curds we're amazing. Not overly breaded and full of cheese. I can't think of better cheese curds at the moment. The sauce that comes with them is also very good. The burger: this was just a bit of a miss for me. It was cooked perfectly medium and was very juicy, but was missing in overall flavor . I couldn't taste the blackened spices which typically stand out on a burger of this type . There also wasn't a lot of blue cheese on the burger making the burger kind of bland. I believe this is their intent since my colleague felt the same way about his burger as well. Our server was very friendly and the space was pretty cool. Id go again just for the curds and to get something from the beer menu.

Crispy brussels are a must, they're really good. Wasn't amazed by the nashville chicken sandwich, but the curds are really good and everything else is a really solid option. The chicken was more of a breaded chicken rather than fried chicken, but the flavor and the bun was spicy and buttery. In general all the food is a solid option. Can't go wrong here.

My !!! Such a pleasant surprise . The menu was a wonderful change from a " just a hamburger place". The food was so excellent, many thanks to the hard working cook Lindsay. Never had brussel sprouts in a sandwich before and they were so good. We also started our meal with perogys that were so tasty and a nice change from your common onion rings. With all the adventures items on the menu my husband had a hamburger. Haha ! He said it was seasoned perfect and never felt the need for any ketchup. This little restaurant is a gem and now I've been informed they also have opened a second one. YAY !!!

They were definitely right. I tried the Cuban sandwich with a side of Brussel sprouts along with a Belgian ale. It was all delicious and prepared right at the bar. There's also a very nice patio space which was perfect for our warm evening. Can't wait to go back.

This place is absolutely AWESOME! The flavors are balanced, nothing is too greasy or over-seasoned. The portions are generous and the price point ya are very fair. Every time I come here, I leave satisfied. I was talking it up at a local so much, I convinced 3 others to want to go for dinner...and convinced myself in the process. I really don't think most people will be disappointed. Had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and Mac n cheese special. Chicken was sweet, spicy on the front end, juicy and savory. Mac was homemade and good every single bite. Can't miss!

As a vegetarian, it's nice to go to a pub where there are more options than fries or pretzels for food (both of which I love, but sometimes a change is nice). We shared an order of cheese curds and gyoza, and I had the mushroom bahn mi for dinner. The sandwich was really delicious, but for me, I prefer more middle and less bread. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the beer. I thought they had an interesting beer menu, too. Definitely will be back here again.

We went here on burger Monday and got poutine with some sandwiches. We were surprised by the atmosphere- very dark, and loud music- hard to hear one another. They only had one waitress for the night- poor woman! They have walls put up around each table to accommodate social distancing measures, although it made things feel a bit jam packed. The menu was interesting it that there were a ton of different types of food, none of which seemed to go together. For example, they have wings, and po boys, and a variety of sausages. The food was alright, the poutine was not poutine- FAR too much cheese. It felt more like cheese fries with gravy than poutine. Our sandwiches were pretty messy, but otherwise tasted good.

This place is phenomenal every time I stop by. And yeah, they have a great beer selection, but the food is the highlight. I honestly can’t pick a favorite dish anymore. But if I had to name my top 3 it would be the Phat Tony, Nashville Chicken Sandwich (served on Wednesday with mac n cheese) and the cubanksi. Can’t forget the starters either - the cheese curds (best I’ve had), crispy Brussels sprouts and the pierogies are all worth it. Honestly, I can go on about the food, but what impresses me most is that everything is prepared from a tiny kitchen right behind the bar. If you’ve never been, don’t sleep on this place.

Late night craving for chicken wings got me here! I was really intrigued by the flavors and I also liked the pictures which shows the grilled wings on Yelp. They have a nice menu but my focus was on the wings. I ended up getting the chimichurri, the onion BBQ and Korean BBQ. They all come with sides - I got the Brussel sprouts and Fries. I liked that they had the option of Brussel sprouts .. mostly you only have the choice of fries or salad. The fries were Parmesan fries and they were yum as well! The wings were crisp and good however I didn't quite enjoy the sauces as much (chimmichurri and BBQ). They were too mild for me to truly get the flavor. Also it looked like the sauce was just on the bottom of the box and the wings were just put on top of it so it wasn't like wings were properly coated with the sauce .. I think that would have made a great deal of difference! I did like the wings just by itself though .. I would like to try other things in their menu and perhaps try out another wing flavor sometime :)

Great hidden gem. We have lived in Walker's Point for quite some time and always walked past but never dined. On a snowy afternoon, we did not want to walk far for lunch so we decided to try it and were pleasantly surprised. Was here with a friend. I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, brussels sprouts, and the chorizo chilli. The chilli was not bad, but I couldnt really taste the chorizo. As with most chilli, it was mild, and I added hot sauce. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was also lacking in flavor. It didnt taste much different than a normal fried chicken sandwich. It came with the brussels sprouts, which while flavorful, were shredded too small and hard to eat. They were also kind of dry. My friend had a Beet Reuben which looked delicious. I did not try any, but she liked it. We left when some of the other patrons made my friend uncomfortable. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was worth returning for.

Love on first sight? I think so. So I've only been here once, and while I normally preach trying something three times before making up your mind about it, I'm making an exception. For one, it's a divey, no frills type of bar, which is right up alley. Second, great beer selection. It's not a huge selection, but it's big enough and, most importantly, it's well curated. Third...Kobe beef hot dogs! Yes, thsts right, your favorite childhood meal is now served in an elevated and more mature fashion with kimchi, cucumber, and bacon. (Note: they do have other topping options, and im pretty sure they only have these dogs on Tuesdays, just fyi). In general, the menu was creative and everything looked delicious as it was being served up. They cook all the food right behind the bar, so you can see and smell everything. I'll definitely be back next I'm in town to sample there other items. Also, if you never had "crispy brussel sprounts," do yourself a favor and order them...I'm pretty sure they're a side option with most entrees. You won't be disappointed.

The food is good bar food with some unique dishes that you wouldn't expect from a bar, like the kimchee grilled cheese. The cheese curds are incredible made with fresh cheese from Clockshadow Creamery just down the street. Beer selection is great with taps rotating very frequently.

Omg, this place, their fries, this place! We stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. I just needed some french fries that day. Camino has the most amazing fries, I don't care what else you order, get the fries with it. You're welcome. It's a very bar-like atmosphere, but nice, you know, not sad, like plenty of WI bars can get. There's a Burger Time arcade game, it costs $0.50 to play, who carries quarters anymore, much less 2, so I was sad I couldn't play, without expending the effort of finding an ATM and swapping the cash for coins at the bar, but now that I'm typing this, I regret that more than I think I was lazy and/or drunk at the time. What I'm saying is, bring quarters to avoid a life of regrets like mine... The waitstaff was friendly and fast, the cuban was top notch, and goddam, their fried chicken sandwich was brilliant!

Cozy & welcoming. Excellent Bullet Rye old fashioned [had it sour], mouth-watering poutine, entrees loaded with flavor (do yourself a favor and grab a side of basil aioli for dipping, too!) - sandwiches served on melt-in-your-mouth warm buns. Did not disappoint! Walk over to Shaker's afterwards for cigars, red wine (me), whiskey and chess. Walker's Point - and these places especially = perfect date night!

This review may not be entirely endicative of the quality of service here, but unfortunately we were turned down on a Sunday afternoon, as we were a part of a pedal pub. I understand sometimes groups such as ours can get rowdy but we only had 20 minutes per establishment and were looking for some good/recommended bloody mary's. Hope others have a better experience.
