Reviews of Blue's Egg
Stalisa
Passing thru town, searched for a brunch place with great reviews and came across this restaurant. Not quite the atmosphere expected based on reviews. But, I definitely won't judge a book by its cover.
Pulled up a seat at the bar, servers were friendly, attentive and very helpful in assisting with order selection and to my surprise the food was delicious.
Bonus, is I met a wonderful lady, Pat, who was originally from there but just visiting for a family gathering. If I could rate a place based on the engagement with her alone, they'd receive a 5. Always nice to meet friendly and encouraging people.

Hands down one of the best American breakfasts I’ve ever had. This place has incredible bloody Mary’s with a homemade vegetable infused vodka and a chunky slice of bacon in it. They also have a good menu with typical brunch drinks and really great adult coffees as well. Their specialty is the stuffed hash browns. We tried the chicken chorizo with paprika aioli and the “browns” of the day which was stuffed with pulled pork and garnished with sliced radishes. We also tasted the corn beef hash which they make fresh and it was THE BEST. Prices are fair, portions are huge, service was friendly and welcoming. I over ate, and I would do it again.

Wow. We were visiting Milwaukee and decided to trust Google to direct us to the best breakfast place. Google did not disappoint us. The food, top notch! The waitress was fantastic and described the ham and hashbrowns that they are known for. She sold us. And then to find out they make their own English muffins and make their own jelly...come on!!!❤️ We will definitely be visiting again when in Milwaukee.

I was referred this place by one of my friends!
Have to say the service was amazing! Extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was great! I got the biscuits and gravy & side of hashbrown! One of the best biscuits and gravy I have had in a long time! The ambiance was great it really was a great experience that’s for sure. I would say anyone who wants a good meal and even better service check this place out!

Nicely decored place. Waitress are really friendly and nice, but servers who serves food aren't really. Grapes are so sweet and fresh. We're amazed. Most choices are delicious and pretty looking. Nice experience.

I've been going here for years. It's a fun spot with good food. Very popular on weekends so get there early if you want a prime time. I've also gone during the week and it has the same pull... I haven't had anything bad. I really enjoy this restaurant group and suggest you support them as well! Pictured is our recent to go breakfast - we also got a bottle of bubbly!
Magnus Wu
Awesome spot. Loved their rejuvenation bowl. Packed but worth it for a good brunch. Waiter was awesome too. Omelettes we’re good. Loved the homemade jam

I’d never been to Blue’s Egg but I stopped here after Googling breakfast restaurants and it was after breakfast time already, so I noticed people waiting and almost turned around but I went in and got a table almost immediately (of course I was by myself) and they were still serving breakfast and to make a long story short it was freaking amazing (BOMB A/F). I had the Dubliner Benedict, if I had to wait it would have been well worth the wait, I will definitely be back and if I could give more stars I would. Thanks 👍🏽👍🏾👍🏻

Blue's egg is a well-known Milwaukee area breakfast and brunch restaurant. I know it's well-known because I've been here on weekends for brunch where the wait can get quite lengthy!
But we wait anyway because you can order a bloody Mary with infused vodka, coffee or mimosa at the cafe/bar, grab yourself some good company, and the wait isn't so bad- especially when you have a Blues Egg meal to enjoy in your near future!
I've been here a handful of times, each time trying something new. Today we enjoyed the Pulled Ham Omelette with upgraded Aged Provolone Browns and the Rooted Veggie-Hash both with cinnamon-raisin bread. The Veggie Hash was a bit on the spicy side for me, but to be fair the chili hollandaise was noted in the description. Today we each chose a simple cup of coffee as our beverage.
The staff at Blues Egg's are always so friendly and on the ball with the orders. They truly help to make your experience as enjoyable as possible when visiting.
Pairing great service with great food in a classy and welcoming environment and you have yourself a great breakfast or brunch! I highly recommend trying out Blue's Egg, and you'll soon find out you will be a returning customer just like me!

Nice brunch on Black Friday. It was indicated we only had 90 min to stay and dine. That's fine. What's not fine is that they split our party with 2 tables when we had small kids. They also gave us 2 waitresses. It was an inconvenience and thoughtless. Our tables could have been combined into one long table. There was plenty of space. This disrupted our dining because of having to monitor kids and get up to help with ordering.
Food was good. VG scramble was too wet and soft with too many watery components like salsa, spinach, roasted peppers. It lacked seasoning and it was just too saucy. The kids menu portions were great.

Another amazing visit to the breakfast place. Stop by on Sunday the coffee was hot. The service was phenomenal as always. Got the , classic eggs, Benedict with pulled ham. Have to say it’s one of my favorite breakfast spots in Milwaukee.
Cassie Craven
I'm so upset with myself for forgetting my leftovers on the table! I had the corned beef and leeks benedict with scrambled eggs and a side of their hash browns with cheese, onions, and peppers added. It was delicious! And my service was also amazing. I will definitely be visiting regularly!

Hopped off the plane at MKE, with a dream and hungry stomach.... Or something like that. Got a recommendation from our seat mate that Blue's Egg was THE place to go for brunch, and was not disappointed! The drink menu is insane, the ways that they inject alcohol into breakfast drinks is wild, and I'm 100% here for it. The food was amazing, got the Chicken & Waffles, would absolutely get again. Charity was our waitress and she was the bomb! So pleasant, and she had great recommendations for the menu & drinks! We will be back next time!

This is a MUST EAT AT location in Milwaukee. Our server, Katie, was friendly and very knowledgeable. The monkey bread was fresh and had incredible texture and flavor. If we would have known how amazing the food was before our last day in the city, we would have gone for brunch again prior to leaving.
Joshua Aultman (Jay)
Wow....seriously...just wow...amazing food. Great old school diner vibe...very friendly staff... I ordered some kinda scrambled eggs with shrimp and calamari and scallops in it....it was absolutely GLORIOUS. THIS SPOT IS VERY BUSY...you may have to wait a few minutes to grab a seat but lord have mercy, it is worth it...
Jonathan Wang
I can see why this place is a Milwaukee staple. Everyone in Milwaukee is already very nice, but this place takes it over the top with exceptional service. Food was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. What’s not to love?
Cheryl Eckstein
I love this place! The food is great and locally sourced. Always something new daily and made from scratch! Service is good. Best to make a reservation since this establishment is very popular! A definite must for foodies!
Loretta Korba
Great food! Makesure you plan on a wait... but it's well worth it! We had the pull a part monkey bread and whiskey cream sauce, it's a most try! Also, grab a mimosa! Our fabulous server Alicia recommended the very stuffed browns and they did not disappoint! We tried the chicken sandwich as well... another great remediation! Hurry in and try it all now!
Van Schroeder
wow wow wow!!! First time here, and we were so impressed! We made reservations- which was a good move! Busy & popular place! All the food was amazing, food came fast! Top notch restaurant with great food and service. Our server Ally was the best! So kind, patient, and attentive! My parents raved about this place the whole way home! We will be back!!!
Laura L Davis
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding. Bree (not sure on spelling) our waitress was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again and recommend!!
Diamond Cole
I’m only giving them 4 stars because every time I come in here I feel like I’m about to freeze to death! It’s soo cold in this place!!!!!! Anywho, I ordered the veggie hash and the pumpkin spice stuffed French toast. The French toast, was stuffed with a pumpkin spice cream with a white chocolate sauce with whip and a almond crumble. Very tasty, yet it packs a punch. I wasn’t diabetic when I went in, but for sure my sugar levels were spiked. Definitely worth it though. I paired that with the rooted veggie hash and the acid from the poached egg and roasted veggies made a perfect salty and sweet combo. Despite the temperature in the building I definitely love this place.
Jessica Poindexter
Yummzies - our waitress Alicia was the best!! The monkey bread is bomb! The carmel sauce was perfect. We crunked it, as they call it, with the whiskey cream sauce. For my actual breakfast I had the very stuffed browns. These are handcut hash browns stuffed with your choice of toppings. I had the chicken chorizo. Delicious. Definitely would eat here again.
tavon harris
My second time eating here and they did not disappoint I had these stuffed chicken chorizo hash browns and the monkey bread is always on point. It's a little pricey but the food is good.
AJ T Jr
The chicken chorizo browns with spinach and paprika aioli is one of the tastiest brunch entrees I’ve ever had.
Timothy Nash
#1 best place to eat breakfast. Only downside a 20-30 minute wait to get seated it stays packed. BECAUSE OF THE GREAT FOOD.
Nicole Cournoyer
It has been a long time since I have experienced such a warm-hearted feeling at a restaurant. Every single staff member I came into contact with was so friendly and kind! I felt like they were truly happy to have us there, dining at their restaurant. Kudos to you for such a wonderful staff, excellent service, and good food! Thank you! 💗
Brenden Strom
Absolutely love Blue's Egg. The hoppel poppel and fried chicken sandwich are incredible and they're coffee menu is great as well. The staff are very welcoming and very attentive. Never a bad experience here!
Rob Brown
Our Server Nicole was superb. She welcomed us, and sat us down, because we made a reservation. The Manager/ Owner was very nice and only said positive things about her employees. Brunch, monkey bread, Fisherman's coffee, loaded hashbrowns. Claire was in training and was excellent
mike krukowski
This place is a favorite breakfast and brunch spot! Always top notch food and amazing service. Victoria made us feel so welcome and kept our cups full :)
Michael Brehler
A really good breakfast place although a little overhyped and that's why it's hard to get a table. Definitely recommend getting a reservation. Try the monkey bread!
Katie Milosevich
It was ok, long wait for our food compared to other tables. The best thing was the monkey bread followed by the traditional eggs Benedict. I had the bowl of rejuvenation, it was missing seasoning and definitely needed another sauce on it, it was pretty dry. The nutella coffee was very good. I would come back, but stick to what they are known for for sure.

Late review of my last meal in Milwaukee last week Had the opportunity to try Blue Eggs and I must say it is a winner. A perfect place for breakfast, lunch, or brunch. A must try is their Monkey Bread cinnamon roll "crunk it" style. It is an amazing treat before your actual meal. They have endless eggs and omelette options here. I went with steak and eggs with a side of hash browns. All made to perfection. Definitely one of the best meals I ever had in Milwaukee. Will definitely make the drive up again for a future encore. Service was very good. Food came out fresh and in a timely manner. They have plenty of parking and have seating inside and some outdoor seating in their tent area. They also have plenty of parking. Definitely make a reservation by using the Yelp app, it can get busy! Must try Blue's Egg when in Milwaukee!
Osaurus G
Absolutely love this place. Cozy atmosphere and exceptional food make it a great place to dine in Milwaukee. The Hoppel Poppel was delicious.
Dennis Anderson
It had been about 7 years since I last experienced Blues and I wanted the best breakfast in town... Blues Egg never disappoints. Everything was so good and so filling. The drinks were amazing per usual. Worth every dollar! Thank you BE!
Rebecca Kirschner
Although we waited a bit to be seated, service once seated was fast and pleasant. The drink menu for brunch was extensive and everything looked amazing, definitely something on there for everyone's tastes. The food came fast and was delicious. Coffee was freely flowing and my cup was never empty until we left. Will eat here again for sure and planning on bringing more people with next time.
Rick Bell
Service was great, the dining room is a little loud but cozy. The hashbrowns are cooked well and are tasty, however the corned beef hash was remarkably bland and almost completely devoid of any flavor at all. Everyone else I was with was very happy with their meal so I chalked it up to a fluke in the kitchen, and I will return again. The other times I have been here, the food was great, especially the monkey bread.
Sarah Chojnacki
The monkey bread is to DIE FOR! I got the daily egg plate and it was so good! You get a lot of food so prepare for some possible leftovers!
Our waitress was so kind, helpful, and kept bringing us coffee (which we needed)! A great breakfast/brunch place!
Waffle1295
Always delicious food, they change up their weekly specials. Loved their grits with shrimp.
Royal Bobo
This place has thee best pancakes! Cooked to perfection! Alisha works the bar well when we were there and she was the best! The coffee is fantastic and everything else was just amazing to us! Definitely going back
Derrick Reed
Amazing food that came hot and fresh. You can definitely tell the ingredients are top notch farm fresh. I definitely recommend the Eggs Benedict with stuffed browns. The monkey bread is their version of a cinnamon roll but by far taste better than any cinnamon roll I have ever eaten.
Satya Natesan (Satya)
There are so many places to have a lovely breakfast in Milwaukee but if you want a whole experience of food that is loved and blessed before it is served to you, in terms of taste, this place is it. The recommendation is always to call ahead. You can also go online to yelp but then it doesn't let you book for more than 6. For 9, Matt made magic happen. The wonderful experience started there. Once there at the reservation, we were seated in minutes. Parking was plenty. There were happy people all around. Coffee was killer. Chai Latte was great too. My order was the steak and eggs. For once without condiments, the food served by the chef was as great as it was intended to be. Same goes for the monkey bread. Service and atmosphere was super good. Sanitation stations were available everywhere. The jam was so good that we purchased 8 Oz of the lovely strawberry jam. We exited happy. A tip - quantity is generous but invariably you end up enjoying it all of it right there.
Todd
One of the best brunch spots in the city! Just make sure to get a reservation off arrive early. It’s not uncommon to have a 2 hour wait to be seated during peak brunch hours.
They have a great selection of baked goods. I had a homemade English muffin that was amazing!
They are also notable for having great hash browns. Consider getting extra stuffed hash browns with whatever you order!
Aleasha Lynn
This place is a little pricey, but the service and the food are awesome we’ll definitely be back!
Brosian
Bourbon chai was much better than the bloody. All the food was incredible. We recommend that corned beef hash and that crazy French toast business we had for Sunday brunch. Wait wasn't bad, parking took some patience. Will return!
Illana Kolata
Blue's Egg is a quaint little diner that will absolutely shock you with their exceptional food and service! I highly recommend their Bloody Marys and Egg Benedict (I got the Florentine). Treated with monkey bread for my birthday! 🧁 …
William Stadtmueller
Amazing food, great service, always a warm and happy place to go!
Blake Comer
One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! I had the special today, which was the enchilada omelette. It was divine. It came with the hash browns and toast. Service was excellent. I'm always satisfied when I come here.
Sarah Whiteford
Some of the best breakfast food I've ever had. The waitress, Nicole, how helped me was helpful and friendly. Service was prompt but I never felt rushed. Get the monkey bread. It is worth every calorie.
Raychel Ward
I think I got here around 0900 with my plus one and it was very busy, so a sign it's good? We had a 10 minute wait but decided to go sit at the bar instead.
I was debating on 2 options but the waitress said the loaded berry French toast was good and a limited option so I went with that and it did not dissapoint! (My dish was $15 and change)
Food came fast, food was delicious, and prices were reasonable. (I'm a college student though so I won't make a habit of going every day 😋)
Cathy Peterson
All was unbelievably delicious. We got two entrees; eggs benedict and a frittata. The muffins are home made, the ham was yummy and such a generous portion of food. The strawberry jam they serve is the best I have ever eaten. Run, don't walk to this restaurant!
A W
This place serves delicious and hearty breakfast and brunch. The hash browns are the highlight
Enny
The kids menu was absolutely something else, it was huge like an adult’s meal. Well it meant we had to take my nieces meal to go.
The French toast was also really good. The wait is very long so try to get on the waiting list before you get there. But totally worth the wait.
And the drinks on the menu looked like lots of fun ways to serve coffee and alcohol. Enjoyed my experience here and will be back next time I’m visiting Milwaukee.
Nicola
Everytime I come to Milwaukee Blue egg is my first stop. NEVER disappoint in anything on the menu. NEVER had a bad experience. Let me tell y'all about Shea at the Bar 🤗🥰😍. Hands down to the best service ever she is soooo sweet, personal, knowledgeable. Her personality is one of a kind. I can't wait to go back next year hope She's will still be there.
Terri Catania
Our server was amazing. We did have to wait a bit, but it's because the food is so good, and it was worth the wait! I'm happy to see business is thriving for them.
Emily Stagman
Like many others, we searched online for best breakfast in the area and the internet was right. They gave us a 15-20 minute wait time at 9am on a Saturday for 3 people and then we actually got seated after maybe 10 minutes. Our waitress Nikki was super cool and very helpful in describing what they’re known for. I got the fisherman’s coffee and I wish I could have taken a gallon home. Monkey bread with crunk sauce was great as was the brown butter coffee bread - we even put some of the crunk sauce on the coffee cake, it was that good. I got an egg sandwich off the specials menu that was very tasty and ended up taking half of it home in a box. My parents got the 2 Local Eggs (comes with a HUGE serving of hash browns) and the French Toast, which they both loved. Very inexpensive considering the portion sizes, and honestly I think it’d be hard to dislike any of the foods here.
Kaila Thomas
I treated my mom and grandmother to brunch one day at the Blue Egg and it was one of the best brunch places in the city. We all split the monkey bread and by the end of it I definitely was tempted to order one to go. Shannon was our service that day and she made the whole experience one of my favorites.
Tom Mullen
My new favorite breakfast spot! We enjoyed the hoppel poppel, monkey bread, pulled ham and mini crab cake! Katie was delightful, a smiling face at 7am is always welcome. She provided great suggestions, including whiskey cream sauce from the monkey bread going into our coffee!
Ashley mahoney
We were visiting Milwaukee for a few days and decided to stop into this little breakfast place. Hands down the best food of the entire trip. We went to Texas de Brazil the night before and this surpasses that place by a long shot. We got the monkey bread, crunked, AMAZING. I got the risotto which was phenomenal, my husband got the carnitas which was amazing, and the kids got pancakes which were the fluffiest pancakes I've ever tried! We will be stopping here next time we pass through!
Brenda Shields
We had breakfast, I had the dubliners Benedict. The corned beef was so perfect, fork tender and most. It was served on rye toast with 2 poached eggs and topped with a delicious paprika aoli. Served with hash browns w/caramelized onions and cheese. So good! My husband had a steak burger that was OK. Honestly, there are alot of places that make a better burger. If you come here, get one of their excellent breakfast dishes. Son1 got a carnita hash with avocado's, queso fraiche and potatoes with a tasty looking sauce. Other son got the corned beef hash browns and eggs. All breakfast dishes were fantastic, burger ok, but nothing to write about. We'll come again😁👍
Keisha Murchison
Best Hash browns on earth. This is the main thing i go for and will get a bacon on the side. Tried the monkey bread for the first time and Im in love. Must have for breakfast. I can't stop going.
Joanna Humphreys
Holiday Grinch Mimosa and crab cake breakfast.
Vy D
We saw the raving reviews and we wanted to see what it was all about. Staff was nice and helpful! Everyone seemed like they were enjoying their company and their food. It felt like a very friendly and family oriented place.
We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table which wasn't too bad, considering that they usually have a line out the door. I got the Dubliner and I loved it! The corn beef hash was completely different than what I was expecting, more of a jerky texture but it was delicious! The poached eggs weren't very runny, but good, especially with the sauce!
Their omelette was good as well! Our server gave us butter, jelly, and grapes for the toast. Both dishes were very yummy!!
I recommend this place for families, brunch, small group hang outs, homemade food, comfort food, or casual date.
There is a parking lot and bathrooms in the back! They fill up pretty quickly, so try and come in early.
C. Ernest
This is a cozy little tucked away breakfast/lunch joint worth a visit! The monkey bread with its caramel goodness and sweet bourbon dipping sauce is a must have! I also thoroughly enjoyed their giant, fluffy pancakes...almost, almost good enough to eat without any syrup! I would highly recommend the stuffed hash browns with roasted mushrooms and creme fraiche...crispy and savory! Any corned beef entree is a must! So tender and flavorful! Yummy! I truly enjoyed eating here! And you can tell by the wait, it is a popular place to be!
Yesenia
Best Milwaukee breakfast. From the feel of the place to the service. Even through we went at a busy time we were seated before our actual time. The food was delicious. Very unique flavors. Must try the monkey bread!
Kamil Niemiec
One of Our favorite Brekfast places ever, They have grate Bloody Mary's, monkey bread is a must to try, the best potatoes with all different options, If you looking for place that will under promiss and over deliver, Blue's Egg is the place to go, every time we come here I feel like there has been some positive upgrade done, especially when it comes to food taste, I don't know what is it but it tastes better and better .
Great Job
HetLedie
Excellent customer service and atmosphere. It is a must that you set up a reservation on the phone or online because it's very hard to get an open table if you don't as long as you try to contact them earlier before you get there you will probably get a table
Ryan Mackman, MBA, MHA
One of the brunch spots we like to frequent when we have Sunday afternoon Bucks tickets. The food is always excellent, and our service has always been friendly.
Lavinia Padmore
My Family and I had scrumptious food, Great job kitchen staff. Fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing. Our waitress Michelle was very attentive and kind. She was definitely family friendly. Michelle exemplifies exceptional customer service. I will definitely request her the next we are there. Thank you Michelle for making this an enjoyable experience.
Melissa McGraw
Now I know why this place is always so busy. The food is amazing. I loved everything I tried and my husband refused to share his steak and eggs, so I assume those were great too. Chelsea was an excellent server. Will definitely be back.
Jesse L
This is by far one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to. Every time I’m in Milwaukee I make it my duty to enjoy a nice meal here to get my day started.
This place is very popular though so don’t be discouraged by a 20-30 minute wait. Once your sat down and get your meals you’ll realize it was well worth the wait.
Today I enjoyed Egg Benedict with a amazing Bloody Mary/Miller chaser. Then enjoyed dessert with a tasty Mimosa.
The food, service and prices are all great. I don’t remember our servers name but she was a very polite and attentive waitress.
Erik Kakulis
Incredible brunch with a lot of options for every diner! While we know they specialize in pulled ham, we were especially impressed with the vegetarian and vegan options.
Mercury Blue
Best eggs Benedict and hash browns around! Quick and orderly service.
Plus they offer a lot of really tasty gluten free options!
Cesar Rodriguez
Blue's Egg didn't strike me as a vegan friendly place... but was pleasantly surprised there was options besides oatmeal or fruit! Easy to substitute egg for tofu scramble, awesome whole grains, filling and delicious. Burbon chai with oat milk, with oat milk! Friendly staff, nice location, proper separation and dividers in place. Food was good and vegan friendly, drink was good and vegan friendly, this vegan is going back for sure.
Michelle Ross
This place came highly recommended by my cousin while we were visiting her. It definitely didn't disappoint! It was amazing!! The waitress was super nice and everything tasted great!! Next time we go to visit my cousin again we'll be sure to stop and eat here again!!
Shannon Harper
This is the kind of place where you every single thing on the menu looks amazing and even after 20 minutes, two conversations with the server and skimming Yelp reviews you still can't decide what to order. Thank goodness you can order coffee and monkey bread, Bloody Marys and mimosas while you ponder. The Bloody Mary came with a High Life chaser (how Milwaukee!) The monkey bread came with bourbon sauce, like monkey bread wasn't rich and decadent enough! And that seems to be the theme here. Take a usual kind of thing and then add something that puts it over the top. I loved my Dubliner eggs Benedict, my friend ordered off the specials menu the flavor combinations in both were unique and unexpected in a good way. The atmosphere, table setting, service were all top notch. This place is totally worth the wait you will probably endure to get a table.
Josh Mei
The food is great, and the staff is friendly.
Taylor Athan
SO GOOD!!! A valet at the airport suggested we go here, and it did not disappoint. Everything we had was amazing--I got the root veggie hash and my mom got the dubliner Benedict. The homemade bread was insane. My almond milk cappuccino was out of this world. The people were beautiful. My only regret was not getting the Bloody Mary, which is made with veggie-infused vodka. Highly, highly recommended!
Thavorn Hunt
OMG everything was amazing, extremely talented kitchen crew. Would never thing to pair many of the things on their dishes. Would also highly recommend the lavender mimosa!
Andy Cheng
All I could say is WOW! We never had breakfast food like this before and even my boys said it’s worth the wait. Price is a little high but with the amount of food they gave you it’s actually cheaper. I would definitely come back again
J D
Great food. They really know how to compose a dish. Wonderful flavor combinations and great cheese! The Gluten Free pancakes were delicious. Also they have vodka infused vegetables for their drinks. Very creative!!
Maria Estele
Came here for brunch with family.
I ordered the Enchiladas omelet with a gluten-free pancake. It was the best GF pancake I've ever had. I want the recipe!!!
Hopefully I'll be back!!!
Selendra Barefield
Arrived Sunday morning around 10:30. The outside and inside was crowed with people waiting to be seated. The wait was 1 hour 15 minutes but if you hang out near the bar it's every man for himself. I ordered the crab cake. I was very pleased. Lots of crab, not greasy , poached eggs perfect and greens tasty.
Angela H
Basic decent brunch place. Nothing specific made it stand out for me personally, in a good or bad way. The food was good, the waitress was very friendly, it was busy but service wasn't noticeably slow. There's a reason they're know for their monkey bread though--that was perfect. It's just a nice no-frills brunch spot.
Mathan Kumar Kaliappan
I'm running out of adjectives to describe how good this restaurant is! Fell in love with the food 😍 😍😍
Must place to visit in Milwaukee for brunch 🍝 don't forget to try monkey cake 😋The friendliness of the staff is great, without being intrusive, and they take a real pleasure in the fact that you have enjoyed their food and the ambience of their restaurant 😊
David Rose
One of the best breakfasts around. I see why it is so popular. Rooted veggie hash was a hit, delicious, fresh and well presented -- but I think it would be hard to go wrong with any of the entrees. And don't forget the monkey bread, it's fantastic! Amazing food and great service.
Roger Trovato
The classic eggs benedict and the monkey bread were both delicious. The ham on the Benedict was amazing
katie giuffre
Ok. Hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Our server Katie was wonderful too. Place was packed for a reason!! ✌🏼💚🍳 …
Jesu Joseph
Go here. Get the monkey bread and do the crunk it. Still not sure what it is. But it's delicious. Worth the 30 min wait. It's busy there so if you can reserve a spot on open table... Do it! Would go again
John McNerney
Great root vegetable hash. Plus great coffee. Plus great service from everyone I encountered. Old school/New school goodness.
Colleen Wichmann
The people who work here are amazing considering how slammed they get on Saturdays! And the Bloody Mary is pretty good too :)
Rawad Elias
Staff is very friendly, and the monkey bread is amazing. Similar to a cinnamon bun dough, and when you "crunk it" it comes with an awesome whiskey flavoured dipping sauce. If you have some crunk sauce leftover put it on your pancakes...delicious!
The shredded ham is supposed to be there specialty but it was very salty (-1 star).
Portions are generous and the service was pretty quick.
Stacey Soden
One of the best breakfast/brunch places in the area! Delicious food with a bit of a unique twist. The monkey bread is a must, along with the stuffed hashbrowns. We had a great dining experience this morning (as always) and Katie was a terrific server.
Tip: weekends get crazy busy, so after you're on the list hit up Stone Creek Coffee a few blocks away and hang out there while you wait. They'll text you when your table is ready!
Lori Lohff
Great breakfast place. Lots of tasty choices. Appreciated the coffee to go.
Shawn Cholka
Eggcellent brunch!!! Blue Hoppell Poppell and Melted Provalone Stuffed Browns were absolutely fantastic with their homemade hot sauce👍😁👍 Fabulous bloody mary and top notch service!!! From the front door to the waitress and even kitchen the staff were awesome! I would highly recommend Blue's Egg!!!

We came in as a party of 7, were seated quickly and greeted by our server Katie. She was very kind and brought waters for the table, and informed us on some of the items on the menu, including the monkey bread which was worth 5 stars on its own. Food wasn’t expensive but was very very good, I myself highly recommend the banana and walnut pancakes. Absolutely great place to eat, could not recommend it more.
Evelyn Lopez
Amazing experience and always. Staff was able to get us in last minute today, and food was delicious as usual.
James Barber
Food is always fantastic here. There is ample seating but that doesn't mean there won't be a way. It's a popular place, and for good reason. Everything from the bakery, and coffee to the brisket and the eggs are cooked great.
Theresa Chartier
Known for their pulled ham, stuffed (hash)browns, house made English muffins and poached eggs, all the plates were devoured.

If you are visiting Milwaukee, are a long-time Milwaukee resident, or somewhere in between… THIS is the place you have to go to for breakfast/brunch. In my visit to Milwaukee, the staff, Charity and Shay, were so incredibly lovely. Charity asked if this was my first time here (it was) and then proceeded to spend the time explaining the highlights of the menu. I wouldn’t have ordered what I did (seafood egg scramble, gluten free pancakes, and mushroom stuffed hash browns) had she not explained what it was. Throughout the meal, Shay was such wonderful company and helpful in giving insights to Milwaukee. Since I ordered a gluten free pancake, one of the cooks was super considerate and came out to double check if everything should be gluten free. I was told Blue’s Egg was the best place in Milwaukee for breakfast/brunch, and they lived up to that name and more. If you’re in town and/or just wanting some breakfast, choose this place. They are the place to go.
Jennifer Ng Gemmell
This is my fourth time here! I come at least once every time I am in Milwaukee. Always great service and the hash browns are simply amazing!
Audrey DeVilling
Wow! Excellent food, great service! The cocktails were also very good. If we are ever in this area again, we will make time to eat here again.
Amy Bauer
Five years ago I would have said Blue's Egg was the best brunch place in all of Milwaukee. In my mind they were the restaurant that restarted the brunch scene here. However since then I feel like they haven't changed much which means they are just A-OK at this point. Do I like Blue's? Absolutely. Should everyone go at least once? 100% Do I think there are better brunch places in Milwaukee? Hands down.
The best day to go the Blue's is Monday in my opinion for Hangover Maintenance Monday. You get one of their amazing bloody Mary's and ANY FULL SIZE beer as a chaser. Second choice would be Friday's for $5 fizzy drinks. That being said I'd go for the drink specials and not necessarily the food. Their stuffed hash browns are fantastic and I have yet to have a bad version of it. I enjoy the smoked salmon flatbread as well as the Hoppel Poppel, but everything else is pretty standard breakfast food in my opinion.
Blue's will forever and always be in my brunch rotation for Milwaukee, but it's not my first choice anymore or even my second. Go and enjoy, but make sure you get out and enjoy all the other amazing brunch spots Milwaukee has to offer.
Toni Toni
I would highly recommend making reservations but the food and service were great!

🌱 There is one vegan option, and it is super tasty and filling - the "One Burrito for Mankind". I do wish there were a couple more vegan options, like Avo Toast with roasted Chickpeas, pancakes (oat flour, banana, plant milk is literally all you need for some bomb vegan pancakes), a sweet potato hash or maybe a plantbased sausage option.
This restaurant has fantastic reviews and I hope it will continue to meet it's customer base as the demand for vegan options continues to grow 🙏🌱👌 It's definitely a restaurant I will be back to. 👍

Great atmosphere. Definitely reserve seats ahead of time by calling or using one of the apps. Small waiting area. Food was good and a little overpriced for some things. I can't say we experienced the best service. It seems like they might stretch their wait staff a little thin because we rarely saw our waitress. Was odd to get toast with nothing to put on it.
Erika Comdohr
One of the best breakfasts I have ever had! First off we used the No Wait app to reserve our seat (highly recommend) since this place often has a long wait time and is not a very big restaurant. Now that it's nicer outside they did have the outside seating open which probably helps decrease their wait time. We arrived a little earlier than our expected arrival time and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very polite and gave us enough time to look at the menus as we had never been here before. I ordered the lemon cheesecake french toast which came with a side of sausage. It was very rich and tasted amazing. The granola on top was so good. Also the breakfast sausage was some of the best sausage I have ever had at a restaurant. My friend ordered the classic Blues egg benedict which came with pulled ham. It was the best eggs benedict I've ever had. I highly recommend this place! Would love to come back here and try something else on the menu as there is a lot to offer!
Bob Amar
Truly excellent large breakfast/brunch place, one of the best I have ever been to. Everything is made fresh, with care and intention. Great monkey bread for starters, stuffed browns are crisp outside and fluffy inside, and the seafood scramble tastes surprisingly light and a bit like the ocean. The star of our visit was the croque madame special; it was like French toast and a Benedict all rolled into one. Will visit every time we pass through MKE.
brian miller
Had an engagement party here on a Saturday night. Ellie was absolutely fantastic and took such good care of us. Food was delicious and plentiful! Jason the manager did his best after with a bank/bill mixup. All in all a great night!
Charles Wasik
I absolutely love the fresh menu! This is not your typical run of the mill breakfast and lunch restaurant. Even though I had a simple breakfast of steel cut oats and homemade raisin toast, the entire menu leans towards healthy using fresh ingredients. How many breakfast restaurants offer steel cut oats? And the raisin toast was the best I ever had.
Jeen Stork
Glad we found this place, it was worth the wait. Great experience
Laura Broleri
We had an amazing breakfast here. We drove from Chicago and it definetely worthed it! I had the best pumpkin french toasts ever. Very friendly staff too. It gets very busy so you'd better go early to not wait.
Jeannette Tolinero
A place good for breakfast. Mouth watering Tasty food, cozy environment. Tends to be full at all times but it's worth the wait!!!
Robert Janicek
1st time here. Menu is very large we will have to return again. Food was delicious. Price is high but well worth it.
Kathleen DeVries
Delicious and creative food. Friendly service and reasonable wait time for a table.
Jordan Paul
Wonderful place, takes reservations, food was great. Portions are hearty but not overwhelming. Has a nice diner feel while maintaining it's upscale status, and the wait staff makes it quintessential Wisconsin.
It was our first trip and it certainly won't be our last.
Jenn
Tried this place based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. The monkey bread was delightfully sticky and delicious. The roasted mushroom omelette with hash browns was perfect. Be prepared to wait though, this place is busy.
Rob S
Eggs Benedict was top notch. Super satisfying and hearty. This place wasn't super busy, guess we can't at the right time. The menu had quite a variety, prices were reasonable and the food was fantastic. I'll definitely be back any time I'm in town.
John Contreras
Absolutely fantastic service! Super friendly and very informed! Food is also delicious!!!! Those hash browns are the best I've ever had! Definitely coming back!
Amber Borrello
Phenomenal place! Food was amazing, Nicole our server was perfect. Great recommendations, wonderful service! Next time we're in Milwaukee, we're definitely stopping again! Oh! And the Bloody Mary with vegetable infused vodka was A+!
Joel Swieciak
A very tasty experience every time.
Colleen Schroeder
The food was very good, came out in a timely manor. the wait staff was very courteous. came around just enough while we were in the middle of conversation.
John Wojner
Really good food, always on point. Fun service staff, I sometimes get the “ed debevics” vibe from em but I like that style of service. One star dinged because although the food is amazing imho it is a little overpriced for what you get.
Judy Schouten
Always busy for a reason. Great food alongside great service. Their baked hash browns are a legend.
Corinna Lambert
I was visiting from Washington and my friend said we HAD to come here for brunch. She was right! The food was over the top amazing! I got a side of blueberry pancakes and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best I ever had! My friend also got the veggie infused bloody mary and said it was much better than the regular. Taking away 1 star because the parking lot situation was a nightmare. I think they are going to have to take away a few spots now that the bank lot is blocked off to make turning around possible. There were so many close calls with people doing 4-7 point turns at the end of the rows. Also, highly recomend checking in online before showing up because it significantly lowered the time we were waiting outside. Brunch is POPPIN here.
Marirose Lucey
Used the Yelp app to cut diwn waiting time at restaurant. I had the ham and cheese omelet with a smoothie as the side. Ate at noon still stuffed at 6. Great waitstaff. We got a small dish of grapes to munch on while waiting for our food. Would go again for sure.
s pags
The menu diversity is staggering. The quality, for brunch, is 💋. The staff is really good. My only complaint is how popular it is. If you go on the weekend, USE the Yelp app to Nowait.
(Pictured: mushroom strata with chipotle elote browns)
Amanda Miller
The good was super good and the service was even better! This is a definite must stop whether you are a local or from out of town. Try the monkey bread!
And the pulled ham might be the best ham I've ever had. There are lots of options to include it in your meal. Plan on getting a to go box as the portions are generous!
Mark Rasmussen
Wonderful breakfast/ brunch joint by the owners of story hill bkc and maxie's southern comfort. Innovative takes on classics, fresh ingredients and food presentation abound. There is almost always a wait. Be advised it closes at 2pm.
Mark Villarreal
Great diner with awesome food
Good Bloody Mary’s
Great for special occasions or great some regular dining
Carrie Hanson
OMG!! Absolutely delicious and waitress was very friendly! Would definitely eat there again!!
Joshua Thomas
Great breakfast! Loved the hashbrowns. I can't wait until I get to go back!
Lynsie Bernier
In town for one night. This is THE place to eat! Excellent service, amazing food, good atmosphere. Enjoyed brunch with my husband. Rooted Vegie hash was delicious, Browns were to die for. Tasty coffee and little touches like the grapes before our food arrived were nice. EAT HERE!
Wesam Abdallah
Not much more I can add about this restaurant that hasn’t already been said. Their menu is anything but bland. I feel that they do a great job of switching it up and adding some delightful twists on the standard brunch fare. I’ve also found that the food is excellently prepared. Temperatures are always on point, and the right crispness or char is there when needed.
The only real downside is needing to wait to eat if you didn’t think far enough ahead to get a reservation. Outstanding.
Daphne Hayes
Really good fresh food. Strawberry preserves AWESOME. Nicole is a great server. Lots of left over for snack. Restaurant recommended by my front desk @ Hotel.
Kevin Scott
Great food. Great service. I will be back.
SpicyFrenchFry
Overall great experience, great food and our waiter was very informative. Super nice and polite also, sorry I forgot your name. But I hope when we come back you are there. Thank you for a great experience.
Steven Johnson
Fantastic breakfast!!!! We had the eggs Benedict and the berry smothered french toast....everything was super delicious. There is usually a long wait, but it is totally worth it. I would go back here in a heart beat and definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a high end breakfast and has the time to enjoy it.
Jonathan Schueller
If you are reading this and considering going here, do it. Best brunch I have had in a decade. The pulled pork is amazing and try the monkey bread. 10/10 will eat here again.
Paul Chapman-Farley
Easily the best breakfast & lunch restaurant I've ever been to. I will and have traveled from Chicago just to dine here. With daily specials to go along with the excellent regular menu, there is always something new to try. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are easy and fun to talk with.
A couple things to note: First, while more expensive than a local diner, it's worth every penny. You receive plenty of the freshest and best tasting food around. Abs the Bloody Marys are top notch. Second, unless you can make reservations, plan on waiting to be seated. This place is very popular so don't get mad when told it'll be 30-45 minutes and it's actually 30-45 minutes before you are seated. The staff is wonderful and honest about the wait times.
SERKAN YORULMAZ
Great food and service. Katie was very helpful. I had beef Benedict and it was amazing. Also monkey bread was yummy!
Germaine Fletcher
Great food here, well worth the wait. Should take advantage of the reservation system if possible.
Candace D
Very impressed with this gem of a breakfast place! We love trying new places and Blue's Egg didn't disappoint. Prices were fair & service was phenomenal. Highly recommend for a no-frills, delicious breakfast!
We did make a reservation, and would recommend one to anyone going on the weekend.
Jake Stanley
Wow! This place is legit. Fantastic atmosphere and even better food. Definitely try the stuffed hash browns.
Glenn Schmidt
Great food, very well run ‼️ very busy, but they kept everything moving
Melissa Dielen
The atmosphere is busy and cramped. The food isn't the best I've had, there are other places that I'd prefer to breakfast/brunch at, but it's not bad. Overall I feel like this place is kind of average.
George Vega
Love this place. The hoppel poppel hits the spot and the coffee drinks are all amazing. The owner is super friendly and the staff know what they are doing! So glad this place is so close to my home, will definitely be back!
Robert Dzekute
Wonderful food and great staff, always looking to please you.
Doug Robertson
This place served one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had. Omelette was the best I have eaten. Service was excellent with a very short wait time although it was getting quite busy by the time we left. They also have a local hot sauce that was very tasty. I don't think you can go wrong here.
Liz Schlaefer
The best breakfast you can get in Tosa. It's worth the wait! Get the stuffed browns and the monkey bread when you stop.
Angela Legner
The Classic Eggs Benedict and goat cheese stuffed hash browns were phenomenal!! Fast and friendly service too! I will be coming back very soon!
Sean Fagan
Extremely busy for a reason! I sat at the bar and received great service. I can’t remember having better eggs Benedict than here. I hope to return as soon as I can.
Dan H
I've been here at least 10 times. The meal never disappoints.
ADLP
This is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. I always order the corned beef hash. It's tender pulled corned beef mixed with potatoes & herbs toasted until it has a crispy outside then topped with poached eggs. Get the monkey bread & crunk it...afterwards, cheers life with a bloody or a mimosa!
realimbored668
Shay is the best bartender on the planet and the pancakes are HUGE, if I’m ever nearby I’ll be back
Cassie Johnston
I love this place. The staff is always nice, the food is amazing and the overall atmosphere is good vibes.
Craig Hatfield
Out of this world! Menu has so many unique and delicious offerings. Our server (Jeff) was very attentive and made great recommendations. Monkey bread, ham, corned beef, hash browns with goat cheese... we ordered way more than we could eat and brought leftovers home with us. We will be back soon
Steven Kramer
This is my personal take. I have heard about this place for years. I tried to come here a number of times but due to the long wait to get in I have been deterred. So today was the day. My aunt came in from out of town, and it was a later 1pm brunch. So let me state it wasn't a bad experience but just overrated. The Signature monkey bread was incredibly sweet... which is fine if that is your thing but the cold crank it sauce kind ruin the warm bread.
Next were the memosos, not the best we have ever had.
The regular coffee was above average. The only downside was that the waitstaff was busy so we had to request refills and then..... wait. (To be honest I thought our waitress forgot our request).
I order the signature eggs Benedict.
Poached eggs are a good way to test the culinary skills of a restaurant restaurant they're pretty easy to screw up. The blue egg passed this culinary test. Unfortunately their unique ham was underwhelming and dry. And though the stuffed hstuffed hash Browns sounded amazing amazing they were pretty much average. The dry ham didn't help here.
My overall take,It seemed a little pricey and overhyped. I definitely would be disappointed waiting for a table.
I'm going to cut the weight staff a break as the whole world is crazy after the pandemic. They were well trained staff, And seemed to know their craft. Our order was exactly correct and came out hot.
Jamison Dean
One of the best breakfast places ever , this place is legit and I travel around the country. Everything is legit ..
Raquel Mikkelson
My man and I are sitting here after an amazing night enjoying Gregory Alan Isakov. We were looking for a joint that offered an amazing breakfast and atmosphere. Low and behold we pull into this gem and are immediately blown away by the service, the quickness and the deliciousness of every bite. Big shout out to Katie, who took such great care of us and has the energy and temperament of an angel. Definitely will have to make this our breakfast stop every time we are in the area.
Terry Lerch
Old style diner atmosphere, Great food, fantastic service. Would recommend & go there again.
Chris Geary
Higher end menu, but as laid back as your favorite neighborhood breakfast restaurant. Get there early to beat the rush.
Jason Smith
Best place for breakfast in milwaukee! Best time to get there is between 7-8am any later and serious wait for your grub.

I had a not-so good experience at this establishment.
Though my server Katie H. was attentive and gracious, my cuisine did not match my expectations for someone who regularly seeks-out eclectic places to dine based on reviews. Unfortunately, my breakfast protein of turkey was visually UNDERCOOKED of which was not edible. Though I appreciated being partially compensated and prior to that the server offered to have my meal prepared again; however, I declined.
Since I am a traveler, this is just a simple loss and I shall move-on to the next...
Ian Dees
I had really high expectations for Blue's Egg from the reviews I read, but the food was just good and didn't meet my expectations. Our server was wonderful and gave some great recommendations. The food was reasonably priced and they take reservations, which is cool. There was a line when we got there. My wife's Nutella latte was spectacular and the coffee was great.
Brittany
While staying overnight in Milwaukee I had found this place under best breakfast in Mil so I decided to give it a try. I ran short on time and had to place a to go order, otherwise I would have liked to have dined in to try some of their signature drinks. Anyhow, the carry out order was ready quickly and when one of the employees saw me looking over my order from inside he came out to make sure it was accurate . I found that very surprising that they cared so much. Something was missing but bright out promptly. I was happy to see the hot items in aluminum bottom containers because it made rewarding them in the toaster over later a snap. The food was excellent! I loved the monkey bread with the Dunk-it sauce on the side to add upon re-heating. I’ll definitely be back soon!
Sean Burns
You definitely need to book here. It was 8.20am on a Sunday morning and we didn't sit until 9.45am. Very popular.
Food was good and Bloody Mary went down well.
Jackie Davis
Excellent breakfast. Food was prepared to perfection. Service was good.
Lucy Bue
My boyfriend brought me here and we love it. Always order the monkey bread, its delicious. Highly recommend placing a reservation because they're very very busy (because the food is delicious). We once waited an hour and a half to sit down, and did not regret it. Wait staff is also very pleasant, I've never had a bad expierence. Love this place.
Monica Keith
Super delicious and the wait is very worth. I didn’t put 5 stars because meat was a bit salty but was still very good.
Megan Williamson
Happy I finally tried this place. Yes, food is great. Pricing is a tad high, but enjoy my visit. Service was prompt and friendly.
noffs29
Showed up at about 12:00pm on a Sunday with a party of 3. Had to wait about one hour to be seated. It was really packed, and for good reason! Our server started the experience with a lot of energy, and provided recommendations and was excited to serve 3 first timers. We were all so excited about all of the choices. Ultimately we all loved our food and special coffees. The portion size is above average--this is a somewhat pricey experience, but you definitely get what you pay for in both quality and quantity.
Angela Rosenau
What a great place with friendly staff and amazing food!! Our waitress was Shannon and could tell it was our first visit, she was incredibly helpful with the items on the menu and telling us what they were known for. We had monkey bread, an omelet and stuffed hashbrowns. Everything was perfect and delicious! If we're ever in Milwaukee again we would definitely go back! Be sure to go on an empty stomach and go early, it gets busy fast for good reason!!!
David Truong
The place was very packed, but the food was delicious and our waitress was very kind. The interior was clean.
B. Cristina Trevino
The food is excellent and the service is amazing!!! Call ahead for reservation to get seated quickly. Must must must visit!
Nicholas Putz
Came here again, and the food was slopped on my plate like it was someones leftovers dumped right onto it. My Hash browns were cold and undercooked. I feel the restaurant has rested on its laurels for too long and people in Milwaukee don't understand what actually makes for acceptable tasty breakfast food over local hype.
Cheri Pfeifer (Cheri)
I love this place although it is almost always too busy to get a sear right away...
Tina Witkowski
The staff are so friendly and so welcoming! They have a wonderful system of checking-in people! My boyfriend and I loved the drink choices, they’re unique and have so much to offer! The food was outstanding and we didn’t wait long at all! 10/10 would recommend! Made a lasting impression! From service and atmosphere to food!
Kaitlyn Zwicke
First time coming here, I could tell already from the parking lot that it was going to be pretty busy. I decided to sit outside because they had a nice tent to sit under. Employees were extremely friendly and on top of everything. I would say that the prices were pretty average for a restaurant and the portions were huge! The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is because the food just wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. However, that is probably because of how other people have described it to me. Regardless, I still thought the food was delicious. I received fresh fruit and mouth watering pulled ham. Even though I didn't think this place was worth 5 stars the first time doesn't mean it never will be. I will most likely return for another yummy breakfast.
Brian Clark
One of our favorite breakfast spots in Milwaukee.
Christopher Sadowski
Lots of people and a great staff. They make many of their breads and muffins there on site. I had the Classic Eggs Benedict. The hash browns were incredible as well.
Denise Roy
Absolutely delicious l live in Chicago and will drive here to eat without a second thought
Ryan M
What an awesome breakfast! This place is wonderful, from the service to the food even the FRESH strawberry jam was awesome!
LINDA MOERING
Everything was the BEST!! The staff, service, food & cleanliness was top notch!! It was my friend's birthday & she/we were treated like Queens!! Thank you all!! Was a very very special celebration!! Best food ever!! We are coming back..soon.
Raul Troche
Great place to go and eat.
Bradley “Hoodly” Hood
Well worth the wait (an hour) delicious food, drinks, breakfast, Hamburgers, and much more!
Jody Benedict
This place was great. The food was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Even the other patrons were friendly.
Haylee Weaver
Such good food!! We are from out of town and will be stopping by again! Our server was amazing!! Keep us smiling and made sure we always had what we needed! Splendid drinks, s’mores latte & warm Carmel apple cider alone were worth us stopping back but the food really got us! My husband looooved his filled hash brown options and I went right to the French toast!
Danielle Marie
I truly love this place. The staff is very friendly and the food is always worth the wait. I really enjoy sitting at the bar on Saturdays and Sunday’s since the lovely human behind the bar is just a delight so if all the have available is the bar seating, take it! The Benedict is my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any of their items. The food has that “made with love” energy you don’t get at just any brunch place. Their employees really make the experience the total. package. My foods here.. ta ta for now!

Pre-Covid...It was our 1st time in Milwaukee so we did our regular "Look on Google Maps" to find the hottest place to eat. Blue's Egg popped up on top so we decided to check it out. We reserved a table online and I am glad we did. The parking lot was packed. Cars circled like sharks for the next open spot. After out brief wait was up we went in and were seated most directly. Even though it was bustling with customers our table felt comfortable and we enjoyed our coffee as we mulled over the deep menu. It was hard to choose. She got French Toast with Berries and I choose the Brussels Sprout Omlette with Ham. It came with a delicious Chilli Hollendaise Sauce.(Red Deer Sandwich was my 2nd choice) I HIGHLY reccomend that you check this place out. You will be glad you did. @devinejd
Richard Goodman
A nice elegant place for breakfast! The food, service and atmosphere was good. They have some interesting choices on the menu so take your pick.
Charlene Kritch
So delicious, my new favorite breakfast place. Eggs benedict with pulled ham!!! And awesome mimosas.
Tyler Pulliam
Bro. The food is unbelievable. Well worth the wait at the door.
Chris Gannon
Still the best brunch in Milwaukee even when you have to wait an hour to get a table, it's always worth it. Love that there are changing specials...You can't go wrong with anything you order.
Brandon Martinez
Their hash browns are amazing! I definitely recommend having a beermosa.
Randy Benedict
Had an interesting menu full of unqiue breakfast options. Lots of classics with slight variation. Food tasted fresh and staff was friendly
Virginia Walker
I really enjoyed this place, the environment is really inviting. Perfect for a date night.
Peggy Pierotti
Never saw our waitress, we left. Not impressed with the menu, expensive.
DOG WTR
Fantastic!! I am in Wisconsin for work and must stop here every time! The best! Great service too!!
MrCool
Visiting from London, service was excellent and food was the best I've had so far on my trip. Tomato and pesto hash browns started my day off just right!
tom awen
Excellent local eatery. Specialty is the hash browns....nice and golden crispy on topped. Always busy so plan your visit well. Other features on menu, all are good. Have not had a bad meal yet. Open only for breakfast and lunch, closes at 2 pm i think. Well worth the trip. Good staff. Nice environment. Coffee always good and while you are waiting you can pour yourself a cup and they will add it on to the bill when you get seated. Having that coffee before you get seated is really, really nice.
Suzanne Dwyer
This was our first time visiting and all we kept saying was "WOW!" Cocktails and food were some of the best we've ever had and our waitress Shannon was absolutely incredible! We've already planned on coming back because there were just too many things on the menu we wanted to try!
Pat Deck
Ordered root veggie hash. Everything was freshly made..Hash brown were great!
Aaron M
Great local brunch place! I love their omelettes and their monkey bread! They have Gluten free options as well.
Friendly staff, usually pretty busy - would recommend calling ahead if you are looking for breakfast on the weekends
A Filter
Wednesday is $1 monkey bread.....need I say more. Pairs lovely with the bourbon chai.
steven roeder
Great spot for breakfast, good variety on the menu.
Mike Curran
Great food, prepared well. The menu always has new & interesting flavor combinations to try.
Rebecca S
(Even though there's a wait )They have an outdoor bar for people waiting for their inside tables where you can sit in the shade and drink a mimosa or a bloody mary! Very smart of them- made the wait feel like no time at all!!
distinct person
Hash browns are amazing. Love those. My mushroom omelette was too bitter. Waiter said provolone cheese but I didn't think provolone was that pungent. Seemed more like feta. Maybe it was just the amount. I'm sure some people would love that.
Service was great. Venue was very nice and much bigger than I expected. Plenty of spacing between tables. I would have liked to eat outside but they were closing the tent at 11:30 AM already.
Julie Kuhrt
I got the Rooted Veggie Hash and it was delicious. The hollandaise has a little kick which makes it extremely tasty!
Cole Meunier
Food and service were great. Strongly recommend the beef cheek eggs benedict. Expect a wait or check in on yelp to save yourself some time.
Doris Rogge
Great breakfast, especially the omelets, and friendly service! More than just the standard ingredients, and so many delicious things to choose from!
Keith Lilja
Best Overall Breakfast and literally the Best Pancakes ever!
Thomas Borgen
WONDERFUL FOOD! Tom was our waiter and he was most personable. This was our first time at Blue's Egg and we will return. Enjoyed!
Andrea Adkins
There was a short wait to be seated. All of the staff and servers were very friendly and welcoming. The food was good with the exception of the hashbrowns which had a slight burnt flavor. We did however get charged a' la carte for all the extras. It was worth the try.
Maria Kuhn
Always super delicious with great service! Must try the monkey bread!!
Christi Avey
I absolutely love Blues Egg! I travel for work and go all over the US and this is hands down my favorite breakfast place. The food is AMAZING and the staff are some of the nicest people you will come across! Shout out to manager Matt for making my visit top notch! Definitely plan to stop here if you’re around the Milwaukee area! You will not regret it!
Stuart Woller
It's busy for a reason! Make a reservation or prepare to wait! The staff does their best and definitely does their best to get you in as quick as possible!
love loud & proud
Been here twice now. My first visit didn't go so well. I order a meal and I didn't care for it much. Besides my meal everything from walking in, being greeted and enjoying the ambience was great. My second time there I really enjoyed my meal. Next time I will stick to what I like best. Lol French toast 😋 …
Jason Mattison
I really like the food here. The service is pretty good but I'm not a fan of the long waits to get a seat. I know this ends up happening at a lot of popular restaurants but I'm still not a fan. The food is worth the wait.
Michael Radzilowsky
I was looking for a breakfast place. Visiting a friend in the hospital. Went on Yelp this was the closest one. Turned out to be one of the best breakfast places I have ever experienced
I had a special with fried oysters on top of a spinach egg scrabble. The oysters were large and juicy. They added a side of bacon I choose rye bread to go with it. Also came with a brick of hash brown potatoes
Everything tasted great the waiter was attentive Kept the coffee coming and was a good resource. After the meal I asked about recommendation to a Mall they wrote out a list of 4 places including short descriptions.
connie tarbah
I had been to this restaurant before and thought to try it again, but this time I was a bit disappointed. The Blue Egg has a huge following and is always busy but I just can't see why, there is always a wait to get in and the food is just normal stuff you would get in any breakfast place.and it is pricy for what you get. Yes the Bloody Marys are tasty and weren't that bad at 10.00 each and we enjoyed them sitting outside waiting for our table in a tent during a rainstorm - maybe that put a bit of a damper on it. I had the Classic Benedict - nothing new there - while my husband had the Dubliner Benedict - way more unique but I thought $14.50 was expensive for what it was. In the end, two drinks and two entrees cost over $50. after you add the tip etc. For what we had and the incredibly long wait to get in I think I will try another place next time.

Great food great service Great staff!!! I'll definitely be bak!!!

I LOVE blue’s egg!! I have come here frequently and enjoy the menu and (for the most part the staff). You MUST get “in line” on Yelp, for the quickest wait! There is always a wait because of how good the food/experience is! Highly recommend the “stuffed browns” if it is your first time! Delicious!!!!
7/15/19 Did not have the greatest experience today for brunch. Came at 11:05am, seated at 11:27, got food at 12:10pm, and left at 12:45pm. The server brought us drinks quickly, but it took her about 10 minutes for her to come back and get our order, then another 20 minutes to get the food. She made a point to avoid our table when we’d try to catch her attention :( Then it took a while for her to come back and get payment. We spent more time than planned s(once seated) at the restaurant. I understand that this was a VERY busy time, but a couple seated after us (another party of 2) received their food and left before we got our food. So I know it wasn’t the restaurant as a whole that was an issue. Then once we got the food, my order was incorrect. She did bring out the correct items quickly, though!
Host staff were amazing, and food was fantastic. Just not a great dining experience relation to the server.
Stephanie Martinez-Harris
Excellent attention to details and overall customer experience. Came in a little blue and the staff went out of their way-above and beyond-to show their kindness.
Let's talk food-->
it was well-portioned, well-cooked, well-seasoned, and well-presented. Thank you, Blue's Egg!
Caitlin Haycock
Is there a long wait during brunch rush hour? Yes, but it comes with the high quality meal you will enjoy. At least there’s Valentine’s coffee to tide over. Do get the monkey bread- the syrup on the side was absolutely incredible. I was feeling eggs Benedict so I got the Dubliner Benedict and it did not disappoint. Although after the Monkey bread starter, I couldn’t finish my platter so had to take it to go, which made THE BEST leftovers.

First time visit, went for a special occasion. VERY good! Impressed with the way they handled social distancing with the seating, cleanliness, mask wearing, sanitation, safety presentation of condiments, paper menus. Made us feel very safe as this is only the second time we've gone to dine in at a restaurant during the Pandemic. The food and service was AMAZING!!!! (Must try the Monkey bread.) Portions were very generous and pricing was adequate for what we received. Our server (I believe it was Katie) was very attentive and acomodadating to any requests. They also have gluten free options and you can tell the food was prepared fresh. We will be back for sure! Make a reservation.
Scott King
Victoria, my server, was phenomenal. Food was excellent. I will return

Me and two friends came here yesterday for breakfast and we were all very pleased and surprised by the quality & quantity of the food. I’ve already told many about our positive experience.
Mark Vincent
The food is always prepared perfectly! Sooooo good!

I think I'm in love.
Seriously impressed with this place! We ordered carry-out/extra because we just moved and needed leftovers and $50 worth of food lastest us 5 total servings and it was delicious. Even ordered cookies (included in the $50) and was expecting average cookies but now they have my favorite chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie. Those two cookies are a must try, they must put magic in them because I went to a whole different world after trying them.
The french toast was amazing, although there wasn't butter on the side. The breakfast meats are all worth it and don't even bring up those browns because I'll start drooling!
Will definitely be my go to spot and a place I will recommend.

Great food, better staff. Food speaks for itself. I came home on leave to surprise my mom for her birthday here. The hostess, training hostess, waitress, and waiter were all extremely helpful and excited to help me surprise my mom. Greatly enhanced the overall surprise. Thanks!
Steve Clark
A more perfect breakfast does not exist. A beautiful Saturday morning sitting outside. The server, Katie, made a point to tell me to read the specials. Sure enough the caramel apple French toast was amazing! 2 big sausage links made it perfect. Real cream for the coffee. The service was as exceptional as the food. Blues Egg lives up to the billing as best breakfast in Milwaukee.

I went to Blue Egg's for the first time this weekend and was not disappointed. It was a weekend afternoon so I was expecting the wait! The parking lot was kind of difficult to navigate, part of it was blocked off so turning around wasn't the easiest. The menu had a nice variety to it, but focused mainly on the breakfast. I ended up getting the breakfast burger which was delicious! A little on the smaller side for the price, but still delicious! I was splitting it with my boyfriend and they brought out extra plates and sides for us which was very nice. Someone with us ordered the breakfast, French toast and hash browns and said they were very good! The only thing I did not like was the fries, they were pretty soggy, that was a little disappointing. Overall, I would probably stop back here again!
Lyn Zahorik
You will wait and wait. Do not give up you will be rewarded with some of the best tasting good, ever
Andrew Brovold
Great food, and better service! Bloody, stuffed hash browns, and monkey bread were the highlights.
Jason Curtis
This place is always packed, which tells you how great the food is.
It's not just your run of the mill breakfast joint though. There's an excellent amount of variety in the food and drinks and includes takes on dishes you wouldn't see elsewhere. If you want something more traditional, you might want to look elsewhere, but for an extra bit of flair and sophistication, this is a wonderful brunch spot. Just be prepared to wait for a table.
Tyler Devan
Food is good with a good selection and service is fantastic. Be sure to order some monkey bread!
Sokphany Robinson
The food was delicious. You definitely need to try the monkey bread and their ham! Very attentive waitress that took great care of our tables and group of 10. Would definitely come back again if in town.
Nicole Singstock
Amazing service and delicious food. I went on my birthday for breakfast with my dad and within two minutes they had brought out a donut with a candle in it. Also when we got the check, the waitress offered a coffee to go for my dad, no charge. The staff really goes above and beyond.
B Young
Server, who was dressed as Wonder Woman today (Halloween), was outstanding! Food however was meh. Monkey bread was okay but would suggest pecan sticky bun to be better. My classic Benedict was served with pulled ham instead of Canadian bacon. The pulled ham had no flavor at all, and I love good ham! The english muffin was cold and burnt on the bottom. One of the poached eggs was hard with no runny yolk to enjoy. If there was Hollandaise sauce on it, I couldn't find it. The hashbrowns were crispy, as we had requested, and were quite good. As always, thanks to all the wonderful restaurant workers/owners that are going to work and trying their best to deal with working at/running a restaurant when workers are so hard to find.
Robert Kowalsky (Bob)
We had a reservation and our table was ready early. The tables are spaced appropriately for today's world.and all the staff wore masks. The service was outstanding. The food was excellent! I love their corned beef hash.
Nicole
Absolutely one of my favorite breakfast places! I’ve eaten breakfast at Blue’s Egg countless times and the food is consistently amazing. The bacon in the Bloody Mary is absolutely delicious and so are the Eggs Benedict 😋. The coffee and coffee beverages are from Valentine which is a local roaster and one of Milwaukee’s best. The vodka for the Bloody Mary can be their infused vodka if you chose, and there is no reason you would want to have it any other way. The desserts are heaven. And so are their sweet dishes, waffles, pancakes. Anything you order from here will be a large portion so go there hungry!
Alexa Wild
I always hace great service here. The food is great. Some basic brunch items and some with a fun twist on them.
Eric Oliver
Just sensational food. We went on a Monday and they were as busy as they were mid-Sunday. It’s easy to see why. The food is sensational & the service was nonstop attentive. Blue’s Egg will always give you great service with even better food.
Lydia Layland
Great food and wonderful service! My boyfriend and I got the egg plate special and the rejuvenation bowl, which were both delicious. Our server was wonderful and knowledgeable about the area and gave us good advice on hidden gems to visit throughout the city. No photos ate it all too quickly. 10/10 would go again.
Elizabeth H
If you can get away with going during the week, do it! That way you’ll beat the weekend brunch rush!
They have a free to use parking lot, with a good amount of spots. The first seating area is in the front of the shop, and there is a secondary seating area that’s down a corridor. Very decadent food options, but not overwhelming. I ordered the Blueberry Pancakes, with a lemon strudel topping and it truthfully didn’t need ANY syrup. It was delicious. I highly recommend for those who have NO dietary restrictions, as they have minimal options for vegetarians and almost nothing designated for vegans. Very friendly staff and timely service.
This is the best of the 2 locations.
Bobby H
Fantastic food. Service was perfect. Check out this benedict!
Jack Lewaren
Stopped in to discover one of Milwaukee’s highest rated brunch spots, and I was not dissatisfied. Shannon gave me excellent service! Although the place was packed on a Monday, the wait was only 10 minutes. I ordered a Bloody Mary and their BABS. The Bloody Mary was excellent! Simple yet effective. The Big A** Breakfast Sandwich (BABS). Shannon also gave me their delicious, and famous monkey bred compliments of the Blue’s egg and it was amazing! The sandwich was amazing. The hollandaise was good, the ham was the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Needless to say: I will be back!
Raeleen Kao
Definitely start with the monkey bread per the staff's suggestion. They also have the best English muffins I've ever had.
Anthony Pastorino
Excellent service!
Excellent food!
Impressive all around. We will be back again.
Jerome Oneill
The line was fairly long (which is usually a good sign), but we took an opening at the bar making our wait shorter. The monkey bread as an appetizer was very tasty. Then my Eggs Benedict - Blue’s Classic with the house made pulled ham - was fantastic! And that home fries brick! Wow. My friend and nephew were both happy with their dishes as well! Received great service at the bar!
Koya P
First timer here, Jeff was so kind and very very helpful when helping us pick something. Mimosas are boozy and the pancakes are delicious. I recommend putting their hot sauce on your hash browns. They also offer free wifi and the atmosphere is welcoming.
Terry Casey
Had a great time celebrating our youngest daughter's birthday, 31st, excellent food and tremendous service from Jeff. Also a very handy reservation system that is super easy-to-use and helps bc the restaurant is always packed!! #lovethosehashbrowns
Dawn Roberts
We went for our first time today and it was a Great experience. My daughter picked the restaurant to celebrate her birthday with family. From the time we walked in, until we left the Entire staff was Happy, vibrant, warm and very welcoming... We had a group of 14 and our server was awesome and made sure that all of our needs were met. If you've never gone, I think you should 😊 The French toast is amazing 😋
Elizabeth Kuyda
Delicious food and drinks-great hospitality from all, especially Nicole.
Recommend for breakfast, brunch or drinks. The spiked coffee was great!
Scott “Shakin 8” Herbst
Just finished my breakfast from here and it was amazing. (Corn beef hash) I used the curbside pickup and it went extremely smooth. From me getting a text saying it was ready to pulling up and immediately someone came out and asked my order name. I have not been inside or in their "outside" dining area so I cannot comment on these. Overall I will definitely return and reccomend.
Angel Conner
I had a basic meal and it wasn't my first time there and came after working 3rd shift with my co worker, but I enjoyed myself and tried the monkey bread for the first time it was sweet and rich but good, yes I would return.
Liz Bond
The absolute best dining experience I've ever had. The wait is a bit long, but SO worth it. The server was knowledgeable and very very polite. She recommended the monkey bread with a whiskey caramel dipping sauce and HOLY COW WAS IT GOOD! I had a coffee with Kahlua and she recommended I add some of the dipping sauce to it, and boy she was not wrong. I'm from Ohio but I know I'll be coming back to this gem!!
Laci Seiler
Easily one of the best brunch spots in Milwaukee and definitely best outside of downtown. The eggs Benedict classic is a favorite and the hash brown are amazing! Always fresh and crispy! You can tell they use only fresh quality ingredients. Usually a 45-hour wait, but totally worth it! There’s a bar across the street with great bloody Mary’s while you wait :)
michelle Short
The best bloody mary and pancakes in town! Be prepared to really wait for seating now.
N Hardin
My husband and I visited Milwaukee this last week d for the first time . We saw this restaurant advertised on a Thrillist You tube video. We added to our list of restaurants . Let me just say we were not disappointed!
The breakfast was so good . And service was exceptional ❤️ I had the best hash browns with cheese and shredded ham . They have an amazing gluten free toast which is homemade and the best homemade strawberry jam . My husband loved his pancakes and sausage too . We will be back thank you for good food and good service ❤️
J Methum
I have lived in the neighborhood for 5 years and have never tried this restaurant until today. I must say I was impressed first by the person who took my carryout order on the phone. She was very patient and willing to take time to explain the items and make suggestions. Best carryout ordering experience I have ever had! The food is classic and yet different. You can tell the owners truly love what they are serving and that they are not afraid of taking chances. I highly recommend this establishment and will be making it a weekly place for eating.
Update: I called to place a carryout order for breakfast at 9:00am and spoke with Julia, she informed me that the restaurant doesn't take carryout orders over the phone and that I would have come in person to make an order.......this is about as foolish as I have ever heard a business behaving. That said their food is still good but not good enough to forgoe the convenience of calling ahead. Unfortunate.
Jim Kearney
Without a reservation you almost always have to wait, testimony to the quality of the restaurant. The menu is top notch, with some unusual items. The service is always of the best. It's one of my favorite places.
Sarah Knutson
The food was fantastic and the prices decent. The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 is it took 1.5 hours to get our party of 8 in despite myself going early to hold our spot in line. We had older members in our party so it was difficult for them to stand and too cold to sit outside. 6 out of 10 weren't from the area so to leave to shop and come back wasn't really a good option. It would be nice to make a reservation for larger groups like ours since we are unable to use the yelp app to check in for a party of our size. We were there for a special occasion to celebrate and again the food was great just had to rush to get our party to the airport after waiting.
Eric Smith
Fresh veggies and fruit. Thick bacon. Excellent bloodies. Food was amazing, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Interesting specials. Yeah I completely recommend this place. Might run you 30 bucks if your eating well and have a bloody. BUT I don't think a penny of that is wasted. This is an excellent breakfast spot. ;)
Kerri Connor
Stopped by for Sunday Breakfast after a quick night over in Milwaukee. We used the yelp app to get in line. The wait was over an hour. There are places to sit outside while you wait. Food was excellent, and the service astounding. Always amazes me when a server can take a large complex order without screwing it up and yet never writing a thing down in front of you.
Jeannette Clarke
Wonderful service and great food. The portions are huge. I really enjoyed the drink menu and encourage to chat with the bartender to pick a just right drink! I had the bloody Mary and it was delicious. Also tried the mimosa, yummy! The wait can be rough on the weekend, especially if you have little ones with you.
Jordan Williams
I would give this restaurant a 4.5 out of 5, if that was an option. The only thing that kept me from giving it a full 5 stars was the Bloody Mary. It could have been better. Other than that, the chicken chorizo omelette was delicious, the hash brown were cooked perfectly, and the staff was very friendly. We got a free monkey bread because Yelp misquoted our wait time by about 30 mns. I would definitely recommend.
L Roehrig
After seeing this place featured on Wisconsin Foodie' we had to check it out. Place was packed with a wait but well worth it. We both ordered the egg special. Omelet with mushrooms' caramelized onion and spinach with goat cheese. Delicious. They have great coffee too. You can reserve a table by email if you want.
douglas horick
If you want the best freshest hot breakfast along with a great staff with moderate prices; Blue's Egg is the best hands down. Perfection of what a restaurant was made to be. I have traveled from California to New York; and all over the Midwest including all of Wisconsin where there's always an issue.. I'm not paid to do this review; but when you find a place like Blue's Egg, you have to tell not only you to go; but ma agers and restaurant owner's to stop in at Blue's Egg on 76th and Bluemound if you are interested in great food, great friendly staff; and affordable prices .... ..
James Uzziah Hammond
Nice place for "breakfast all day". Service was good, however the wait can be 20-30 minutes if you arrive during busy hours. Very energetic atmosphere. Omelette was delicious. Loved the toast with butter and strawberry jam. Pancake was OK. The syrup and butter helped pull it together. Meal for two with something to drink will set you back 30-40 bucks (plus tip). Retro music lightly played in background. Overall good dining experience...4.2.
Brad Stroud
The service was fantastic and the chicken chorizo hashbrowns were INSANE!!! Definitely worth the drive from Madison.
We will be back!
Andrew Pigott
Terrific! Multiple, interesting hash brown varieties. We tried, and loved, the roasted mushroom hash browns. Multi-grain pancakes with walnuts and banana were perfectly done.
Sheila A
The food is good. Hash browns are usually very greasy. If you order hash browns stuffed with ham, you might not find any ham in there. Happened to me twice. Good coffee and their cookies are delicious
Update on review.
Owner actually responded to my review!
He sent me a gift card which was really nice. I wasn't expecting a response.
Thanks
Emery Farah
Expansive and fun food and drink menu! Try the browns, and crunk it if you get the monkey bread. Really, just say yes to anything that sounds good and you're not likely to be disappointed! Also, quirky and enjoyable staff!
Yvonne Duckhorn
The ambiance and decor was a nice step back in time. Being my first time there, I took a long time sorting through the menu - a mix of classics and unique spins on classics. I settled for the french toast. For the price (over $10), I expected more wow. Two slices, halved, were very soggy at the center. Almost pudding-like. They serve Valentine coffee, which I usually find to be bitter/acidic. Appreciated the grapes while we waited for our food. Overall, for what we got, it cost much more than I thought it was worth.
Acid Samurai
Awesome food and amazing Service! Be sure to get here early or expect a wait that's absolutely worth it!
Shelley Andersen
We have enjoyed Blue's Egg for breakfast, lunch and recently for a private family gathering. This establishment provides not only phenomenal food but exemplary service on all fronts. Our family is extremely grateful and extremely impressed.
Nate Paradise
Phenomenal. One of the best breakfast spots in Milwaukee. Ingredients, portion sizes, menu options, you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you're ready to wait or you go at a time when you won't have to. Also, if you haven't been here in a minute, don't be thrown off by the fence the bank put up like I was! Awesome breakfast place, must-try for all breakfast lovers in Milwaukee!
Leigh Weidner
First monkey bread was warm and the whiskey cream sauce was ice cold, but it was remade to be piping hot. Homemade corned beef hash was amazing.
Jeff Winchester
Great food. Browns are so good!!
West Allis
Food was great as always. Love the outdoor dining set-up, just what I wanted to see- wiping tables and chairs after each service and staff wearing masks. I rated this visit low due to our waitress who was some what absent during our visit, which was disappointing because it was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the fresh air.
Bud der
This place is crazy good! However monkey bread was not my favorite but everything else delivers!! Server Gregory was extremely nice and had great recommendations. (listen to him) very worth it, atmosphere and people wonderful and the amount of food you get. Wow! Hint French toast
Justin Latawiec
I’ve been here a few times and the food is always excellent. It is a little pricy for the city it is in, as well as the old strip mall building. The size of the portions lack compared to other breakfast places, but the quality is definitely better. Their music was a little strange, and their outdoor seating was only for people waiting for tables, so that made the wait a little longer than desired. Overall a good experience, and I would recommend it to anyone with a heads up on higher pricing, and the poor location.
J Williams
Go here. Really great place to dine for breakfast. Feels fancy but cozy and contemporary American diner feel. The fruit was possibly the freshest I've had in a restaurant. Nice surprise.
Martha Berger
Just good and interesting food in a friendly environment.
Sean Hackney
First time there it was pretty good. I ordered the zesty sausage omelette and other than being smothered in to much of a heavy cream sauce I'm sure it would have been much better. Great service and the food looked great but a little bit heavy for my taste. Will visit again, maybe 4 stars the next time if I my omelette isn't so juicy and overloaded with sauce. Service and cleanliness would get five stars.
Becky Beier
Best breakfast in the Milwaukee area. Everything I have tried is delicious and my co-diners agree. Excellent service and comfortable atmosphere, even though the place is full of people whenever I am there. I guess how good this place is isn't a secret! Be prepared to park on the street and wait for a seat.
Ed Deutsch
Love the place, had Sunday breakfast here and had the special with pork chop/3 eggs/toasted which was a lot of food did ordered extra zesty sausage which had a good smokey flavor but not over powering. The hash browns were the best I have ever eaten. Crispy on both sides and tender flavorful middle. The place is right before 76 and Bluemound. You gain a customer for life
andrew treinen
This place is Amazing!! I had the fluffyiest cheese omelet with potatoes I have ever had. The staff was very nice and on top of everything. I can't wait for my next visit. The Bottom line is if you have half the great experience as I had you will also be A returning customer that speaks highly of this "Breakfast & Lunch Community". My new Favorite place for Breakfast and/or Lunch. Plus they do things in A unique way here, which sets it apart from all other restaurants. You will not be disappointed!!
Andrew Glassman
Went here on a Sunday morning a week or two ago. The wait was very long, but that is because the place was packed! Once we were seated, the service was very friendly and fast. The food was not the cheapest, but it was amazing. I had the Dublin Eggs Benedict, it was really unique and delicious! I will definitely come back here, and gladly wait 45 minutes.
Mustafa Mithaiwala
Wonderful place for brunch with a very well thought out and balanced menu. Everything tasted fresh. Serving size justifies the cost of each item on the menu. Our server was really great to talk to and he had a rather eccentric yet elegant style of talking which was fantastic.
Joseph Nissen
Best brunch hands down, wife and I go there all the time. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable on the menu, amazing at handling food allergies. Plus, everything on the menu is delicious! Hard to get the same thing twice in a row cause it's all so good. Don't forget to get the monkey bread
Michael Gladieux
Food is always excellent and a welcome creative change of pace from most other Midwestern breakfast eateries. Service is absolutely the best you'll ever get at any breakfast restaurant. Professional, upbeat, and efficient. Wait times are long, of course. That's because there are a tremendous amount of people that want to experience Blue's Egg also. Love this place!
Randy Darty
Blue's Egg never disappoints, one of the best breakfast restaurants around. Bloody Mary's are well made and include a strip of bacon. Their hash browns are to die for, the best I have ever had! The Blue's Classic eggs benedict is my favorite. And make sure you start off with an order of Monkey Bread... delicious! Did I mention that the staff is always friendly! I LOVE this place!!!
Mary Kubicek
I wish the wait time wasn't so long on a Sunday morning! While we are waiting we always have a spicy bloody mary with beer chaser to keep us distracted😉
Once seated always have excellent and friendly wait staff! I don't think I have ever had to ask for more coffee, always refilling! Love the carafe of water at the table so we all have enough. Food is excellent! Typical favorites and some unique offerings as well.
Mary Wolf
Very tasty and imaginative dishes. Fresh eggs and vegetables are locally sourced. Corned beef is homemade and the hash dish is plentiful and delicious. Plenty of tasty gluten free options! We were there about 9:30 and had no wait. Around 10:45 it really started filling up and there was quite a line. Just allow extra time--it's definitely worth it!
Anthony Jackson
Good restaurant for breakfast. Long wait to get a table. Efficient wait staff.
bilal mian
Really good breakfast! The poached eggs and corned beef hash were amazing. Really long queue to get seated, make sure you plan on going early and definitely use yelp to check in ahead of time to save your spot!
Janine White
Blue's Egg is one of my favorite brunch spots! They've got fantastic food that is absolutely worth the wait.
Pros: Good menu variety, excellent quality dishes, coffee while you wait & reasonable prices.
Cons: No reservations (as far as I know) = long wait to be seated.
Matthew Brugman
Very good with respect to food allergies. It was my first time there, and when I said I had celiac they came out to the table to explain the menu and how they handle and modify. Definitely will be back
Shellbi Bartlett
My favorite breakfast spot in the city! I've only been 3 times and it is ALWAYS busy. If you want a table you will have to wait. I always sit at the bar, I always have the same bartender. He is amazing. The food is to die for and the customer service is exceptional. I dream about the food. THATS how good it is. 10/10
Shaun Bowe
We went on New Years eve around 11am. It was very busy and about an hour wait. We both ordered Bloody Mary's and both were among the worst we've ever had. It was very bland but had a strange off flavor to it. Our waiter brought over some hot sauces which helped mask the flavor a little bit but it was still not good.
They were out of the special which sounded delicious so we're ordered off the normal menu. The food was very good and the service was good as well. I wouldn't go back because for me the wait wasn't worth the experience.
M & Ms
Very nice & clean establishment. Staff attentive & friendly. I was apart of a group of 9, all orders were accurate & food tasted great! Would recommend...👌
Herkey1
Exceeded all expectations, food and service was awesome. Bacon might be the best ever, pancakes were great, coffee cake is a must. The ham stuffed hashbrowns were great as well. Strawberry jelly to die for. A must visit, we all loved it my two sons thought it was one of the best meals ever and my 75 year old mom thought it was great and inexpensive, which she never says that. A fantastic restaurant, it is definitely worth the wait. Staff happy, efficient, great all around place.
Divida Pastorino
Wow- so good!!!!! MUST TRY THE MONKEY BREAD 😍 The food and service was amazing- will be back for sure!
Victoria S.
The best place for brunch in Milwaukee. The wait can be long but so worth it. Creative lattes, baked goods, alcoholic brunch drinks like bloodies, mimosas, and more. What more could you ask for?! Get the Monkey Bread with the Crunk sauce, their hash browns are some of the best we've ever had - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and generous portions. We've tried nearly everything and have not been disappointed with any of the entrees. Service is also consistent and top notch.
Jarrod Smith
Had the classic Benedict with side of thick cut cherry wood bacon. Oh man it was good! Service was great; our waiter was so good with our kids too! Highly recommend. Just be prepared for a wait...well worth it!
Jocelyn Fuller
Our favorite "go-to" restaurant for special occasions or just dinner with friends. I can honestly say that every bite I've eaten there has been fabulous! Small plates give everyone a chance to share and try new things. I'm not a fan of fungus, but my friend insisted on me trying the mushroom tostadas which is now my favorite menu item! Food is as great as ever. Had not been back here for years and found the variety of small plates and food quality as great as it always was. Now, they have outside seating, too, which is very enjoyable when the weather cooperates.
Irene Mydy
The staff is friendly and courteous even when it's really busy. The drinks are well prepared and the alcohol is NOT watered down. Our meals were excellent! Well prepared and not too much food and not too little. Just right! Definitely worth the wait when arriving.
Lindsay Harris
Great, fast, and friendly service. Delicious food, I loved that our waitress explained the menu and gave recommendations. Our party tried the stuffed hash browns, monkey bread and Benedict and all were delicious. All 10 of us loved our food! Thanks for breakfast 👍 …
Amanda Rodak
Man this places breakfast is absolutely amazing. They take breakfast as we know it and throw it out the door. Different ingredients and options. When your seated they start you off with complimentary seasonal fruit with homemade strawberry jam that's out of this world good. There is a bit of a wait as with any place that tastes this great and the prices are more along the lines of lunch/dinner prices but it's well worth it.
Chris McCormack
Best breakfast I've ever had! This place is flavor town. Service is excellent. I really appreciate the to go coffee. Homemade strawberry jam is like moms. We will drive 45 minutes to get here and there's always a waitlist. It's worth the wait! Well done everyone at Blues egg.
Justin Wetzel
Wow. Speechless. The food was amazing!
Legit amazing. (See photo)
Alexa Archer
I absolutely loves Blues. I was told the wait would be 45 min to an hour, and ended up only waiting 15 minutes. The outdoor waiting area is nice so that the inside isn’t very crowded. The coffee is good and not “typical diner” coffee either. It’s always busy when we go— that just means it’s delicious! The food there is impressive every time I’ve been there, between the monkey bread starters, the omelettes, and others. I highly recommend Blues.
Martin Buena-franco
Ok so this is one of my regular spots. My wife loves it too. If you like a great breakfast or brunch and a friendly atmosphere this is the place for you. Btw, just short a star from perfection because the tables are a little too close for comfort. I felt like I was having more than one conversation at the same time. I’m not good at multitasking but I digress, the food is really good!
Jorden
The staff was friendly and the food was great. We went for brunch on a week day and there was no wait. I had the Benedict (with their own aged ham) and my boyfriend had the berry French toast. We split a monkey bread, and now it's all I want.
Robert Westcott
The highlight of my brunch was the Aged Provolone Stuffed Browns. The tomato sauce was what hash browns should be mixed with instead of ketchup. Filling omelette for the main course, too.
Great customer experience, including:
-Waiting list visibility on Yelp!
-Outdoor seating while waiting
-Fun music and atmosphere
-Friendly wait staff
-Little worry about parking or navigating downtown

Had family in town for one day and they asked for the best place for breakfast. Blue's Egg is always my number one place you have to go to for the best breakfast in the Milwaukee area. I've never had a bad meal here but I almost always get the blue's classic Benedict. The pulled ham on it is amazing and the stuffed hash browns are a great side to add. I don't think I've ever been able to finish my whole meal, the portions are huge. Definitely going to be back soon, when I get over by Tosa.

Just passing through when we spotted this gem. Good food but GREAT service! Our server Kellen was very nice and VERY attentive. Every time coffee was low he was there with a new cup. Made sure we had everything we needed. Best service I’ve had in a LONG time! Definitely recommend!
Paul Clark
Intriguing menu full of breakfast entree choices.
The corned beef, chorizo, hashbrowns, poached eggs, and omelet we had were all delicious. I'll definitely return next time I'm in town.
Becky Curran Kekula
Everything on the menu looks delicious. I had the veggie hash and loved it. Be sure to ask if there's an up charge for any of the side dish options you may like. There's a variety of breakfast and lunch options, with an extensive beverage list. Since it's a popular place, sometimes you will encounter a wait, but it's worth it. They serve hot coffee while you wait.

Great variety of breakfast and lunch items on menu. Huge selection of alcoholic breakfast drinks. Huge well presented portions. Good bang for your buck. Convenient location in strip mall. Get reservations to avoid long waits.

The food was absolutely amazing! We had breakfast Crispy Blue crab cakes and rooted vegatable hash. Waitress was awesome. However wait time was insane. Went On a Sunday at 11 am was told about an hour. Went back up in an hour and asked how much longer to a different man than who took our name said you were quoted and hour and 15 minutes. That is Totally not true the dark haired little man who took our name and phone # said about an hour is all. we did not appreciate being lied to about it. People were making reservations online and coming in and getting seated right away. Kinda unfair to the 20 people already THERE waiting to eat. Great food but will not be back to a place we can't get seated at in a timely fashion too much of a hassle because they take too many reservations. And by all means do not lie about the wait time!!
Mike Hamann
We just so happened to arrive at a time when we didn't have to wait more than 3-5 minutes to be seated. If your wait is longer that's because it's full of people and that's a good thing if you want to dine at a nice establishment. I, and the rest of my party enjoyed our experience here. The food was super fresh and delicious and our server was very friendly and attentive even though she was extremely busy. Outstanding place for breakfast!

Katie was an absolutely wonderful server and we can't wait to come back. We picked the perfect time to sit outside as we may not have even needed the heat lamps with the fantastic weather. Food was amazing!

The Lemon Cheesecake stuffed French toast is amazing. It has amazing flavors and textures that all got very well together. The lemon curd is delicious. The only improvement I would make is to not have fruit in the granola topping.
The monkey bread is delicious, but the whisky sauce was grainy. The stuffed hash browns are good diner food. Nice servers.

The food is delicious and made from scratch, I typically get the veggie root hash. They have very good homemade bloodies! Our waitress was very friendly and service was prompt. I took away one star due to the long, long wait; 1 hour and 15 mins. Luckily, you can put down your name on yelp for the list to shorten wait times.

Wife suggested we go there for breakfast. She's enjoyed it several times with her sisters and cousin. I wasn't that impressed. She had the monkey bread and hash browns and cheese. I had the homemade corn beef hash and sausage links. First off the restaurant wasn't any better looking than the average breakfast place. All staff from Greeter, drink bringer and waitress were great. My wife loved her monkey bread (a daily special) and hash browns were nicely crispy with chaddar cheese. A tiny bowl of fressh grapes and strawberry jam was also brought. My 2 pieces of sourdough toast were nicely toasted. The poached eggs that came with the corn beef hash were done properly. The huge disappointment for me was the corn beef hash. The flavor was good and unlike any other I have had else where but what was on the plate was a 6" flat circle of "mushy" hash. No texture to it at all. I'm glad I ordered a side order of 2 sausage links. (tasted good but not special) Another suggestion is for them to find a coffee that isn't so acidic. It was the only thing tasting cheap.

Legitimately it was a good breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict and they were cooked to perfection. I think all the rave reviews about the monkey bread was a little overdone. Don't get me wrong it's good monkey bread but it's not something that necessarily everybody has to try. The crunk sauce that went with it was not great given they hype in my opinion. This was my first time and thought it was well worth the visit.

Jeff was so wonderful, he brought us grapes! Everything was so tasty. I recommend the monkey bread!

This is the best breakfast/brunch restaurant and my favorite by far. The wait can be long during peak times but definitely worth the wait! My sister in law recommended Blue's Egg when we moved to the area from Chicago. She raved about it but I didn't think it would be possible to beat my favorite restaurants in Chicago. I was wrong. The breakfast menu isn't your typical breakfast menu. The food is more unique and very high quality. I highly recommend trying the rooted veggie hash. I drool just thinking about it.
Jeff Denkinger
Amazing! The wait was decent. They have an out door bar with super delicious bloody Marys, the server Josh was very helpful! He even offered advise on our meal selections. Very knowledgeable. The food was amazing as well! A+

I was really only familiar with Blue’s Egg from their underwriting of local public radio stations.
This was the first trip over in my nearly 10 years of living here.
The Skinny Hash Browns with spinach, pesto, and olive oil was really good. Rishi Tea - Earl Grey as good as always.
Nichole was awesome. My uncle and I sat around for an hour catching up. We made for a very austere two-top. And she let us carry on for as long as we needed. 🍳☕️🍇
Would very much recommend!
[COVID protocols were on point; I would not dine indoors, though, for the next little while]

My wife and I visited the area for a wedding. We found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. There is a reason there was a line when we arrived. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly what more can you ask for. I really enjoyed the blue classic and my wife can't stop talked about their monkey bread. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area.

First time trying Eggs Benedict and it was nothing short of amazing!! Will definitely go back for more.

This was our 1st time at this restaurant and boy were we amazed! The food was wonderful, and the service was Amazing! The place was packed but they made us feel like we were the only people there. Food came to us hot, fresh, and fast! Our waiter was fantastic too! If you're reading this, please do yourself a huge favor and go enjoy this wonderful place!😊

This place is absolutely amazing. The monkey bread is a MUST try!! Honestly, everything they make is great, so you won't be disappointed. But be prepared to WAIT art least an hour on the weekend, and remember there is NO CARRY OUT on weekends... unfortunately those two combine to cap them at a 4-star rating, despite 5-star food. But if you have the time to wait for a tabke, you will not be disappointed!

Very neat restaurant lots of different items to choose from food was hot

Since covid-19 started we've been using the curbside pickup. Very friendly and efficient. Food still amazing. The best Classic Eggs Benedict around. Highly recommend it.
Nikolas Giuliani
The best breakfast I have ever had. Monkey bread was so incredible- you have to get the glaze. The omelets were fluffy, but had density at the same time. Full of flavors that you would never think work, but do. Definitely try something out of the norm here because no matter what you will love it. The staff was helpful, and on top of their game. Amazing place.
George Fenzl
Always an amazing meal. Not to mention my 2 beautiful daughters work there
Jennifer Halama
Amazing food and great staff. The food was eggselent!!
Anthony H
Great service and even greater food. There's always a long wait though, so be prepared for that.
The eggs benedict is so good that I can't help but get it every time. The pulled ham that comes on it is so good too! I've also had some blueberry pancakes someone was nice enough to share with me which were fantastic.
Joan Beatty
All the food is made from scratch! I had the best Eggs Benedict ever! It melts in your mouth! The meat is so tender and flavorful! The Monkey Bread is the best around! We had a 20 min wait. People that came after us had up to 2hrs to wait and it was only 9:15 am. I highly recommend Blue's Egg!!
John Riley
The monkey bread was the best I've ever had, the ham was the best I've ever had, the poached egg was the best I've ever had. The hash browns and risotto were also easily on my top 5. This place is incredible

With 800 glowing reviews and counting, I'm probably not going to break any new ground coming up with fresh superlatives rejoicing in the brunchy greatness that is Blue's Egg. From the superbly executed food to the impeccable service, it is easily the best breakfast I have experienced in the 414.
My tween daughter and I arrived at Blue's Egg a little after 9AM on a Thursday morning and were seated immediately, so it is possible to get instant gratification if you hit this place up at off hours. Peter, our server, greeted us enthusiastically and asked if this was our first visit. We nodded in the affirmative and Peter launched into a whirlwind tour of the menu, giving us newbies some much appreciated guidance on what to order. Throughout our meal, Peter was the consummate professional, slyly entertaining us while providing faultless service. As good as the food was, it was the service that made our breakfast at Blue's Egg truly memorable.
The perfectly seasoned hash browns were as good as advertised - moist and buttery on the inside and a crunchy, brown crust with just a hint of grease on the outside. It is truly amazing what magic Blue's can perform on the humble spud.
Indulge me for being redundant, but I am also going to join the chorus of reviewers singing the praises of the monkey bread. Like the hash browns, the kitchen really nails the contrast of textures. The slightly sweet caramel crust on the exterior gives way to the moist, wonderfully doughy interior. Dunk that little nugget of joy into the whiskey dipping sauce and I guarantee you will be in a blissful state for the rest of the day.
I liked, but not loved the slow-baked pulled ham that came with my Blue's Classic Benedict - it lacked a certain depth of porcine flavor I have experienced with other house made hams. Not lacking flavor were the house made English muffin which were my favorite element on the plate. While I do not regret ordering it, with so many other tempting options on the menu, I would try something else the next time I visit.
Despite its gargantuan serving size, my daughter polished off her French toast, giving it two enthusiastic thumbs up.
Combining fresh ingredients with flawless execution, Blue's Eggs has refined the simple diner breakfast experience into a sublime art form - try it for yourself and I am sure you will agree.

I can't figure out why it's so popular or expensive. Nice variety of menu items. Corn beef hash is very peppered making me unable to finish it. I've been there multiple times. My eggs Florentine were disappointing, lacked flavor and the hash browns that are supposed to be the bomb are just plain greasy. The first time I went there the grease made me sick. It's a breakfast and lunch only with hours catering to that crowd. I want to try it again to see what I am over looking. Very limited parking. Very slow turn around for table, long wait. Again, I dislike being called sweety.
Courtney O
The food is always AMAZING, but the service can be kind of slow. I think perfection takes time, so it's understandable. But be prepared to wait to sit, and wait to eat. They also do a nice job of making sure you can get drinks while you're waiting, coffee, mimosas, bloody's... even pastries if you need a nibble!
Tiff
If we are only able to stop at 1 place when we're in town, we stop at Blue's Egg. It's a must. Everytime we come the food is amazing. I try a new dish each time and each time I am pleased and left more than satisfied. The food is so freaking good. The only downside is that everyone else knows how good it is too, so be prepared to wait. It's well worth it though!
Miriam Jaber
My female servers are always super cool. The rapport they establish with customers is comparable to that of best friends. Food is yummy, obvi. The free monkey bread for nurses is such a gracious and decadent gift - especially after coming off a rough night shift during this COVID-19 surge. I should suggest an improvement in BE's hostess's general demeanor. The milieu when I wait to be seated is always uncomfortable and awkward - almost as if wanting to eat here is an inconvenience for this hostess. She is just very unfriendly to me on my every visit. I do hope she's okay.
Adam M
The service was prompt and professional, the menu is imaginative, and the food was excellent. The only downside to this place is that it's very very busy, maybe all the time. Oh, and the complimentary drip coffee is a bit...acrid. But I'm finding that last point to be a trend among breakfast spots with high wait times, to be fair.
michael collins
Best overall breakfast place in Milwaukee. Always a wait during peak hours. Service is excellent, portions are more than adequate. I wouldn't fret too much about going there when it's busy though, they are busy every day and the staff handles it very well. Always some interesting specials to check out.
Jillian Gray
This was recommended to us when we went to Milwaukee for a trip. We went for brunch and it did not disappoint. The monkey bread with the sauce was perfect. Reminds me of Christmas. And I got an omelette, toast and a grapefruit (side) for a very decent price. Everything was well made and affordable co sidering some brunch places are outrageous. The best way i can describe this is the perfect combination of a fancy brunch place and a diner. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Allen O (Nathan)
Food was great, service was great. If you enjoy quality ingredients and your tired of your "run of the mill" eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast (you can make that at home in 15 mins), you can't go wrong here. This is still my #1 breakfast place. The amount of food, creativity, quality, and service make this place a very valuable experience.
Alisa Mitchell
Food was awesome! Huge portions. Service was too. Just a note.. If you go on the weekend it's crazy busy. They do first come first serve seating at the bar, great option for one or two.

First time here and it was worth the trip. Really great selection of food. Very tasty breakfast place. The stuffed hashbrowns are some of the best I've ever had. They are super friendly and made sure we were happy with our good. It do get super busy around noon but didn't have to wait long. X3
Peter Rodionov
I had the lemon french toast, gluten free option. I was already excited because they had gluten free bread but when i got it my mind was blown. It was absolutely delicious and wonderful in every way I got through a piece and a half before I stopped to take a breath. 10/10 recommend I love it. My dad had the money bread and he loved that too he had it "crunked" and said it was out of this world good.
Nancy Resto
Our waiter Pete was most welcoming & charming. Very helpful in describing various dishes. Prompt & attentive service with fabulous food... Highly recommend!

Consistently creative, well-prepared, high quality food. Consistently good service from a tenured wait staff. Consistently fun atmosphere, and a pioneer in the Milwaukee brunch scene. This is a place I come back to time and time again. There is always a wait and it is always worth waiting. We bring out of town visitors here regularly because it's a good showcase for Milwaukee restaurants. Can't recommend it enough.
Rob Mohr
Simple, almost banquet hall atmosphere and fairly dark. Great coffee, excellent service and nice cloth napkins set it apart. The specials menu is usually very creative. This time our table of three all got omelets. Two came out almost soggy, running all over the place. The other was quite runny but still browned on the outside.
The waitress had mine remade right away. It came back dark brown and cooked ...still a little wet though. The ingredients a 9 kept it at a 4 out of 10. I find Comet Cafe to be a solid 8-9 out of ten overall for the omelet.
To the management: I feel It needs a little more egg and maybe cooking the onion less. When I make omelets at home I find I get into this problem when I get over zealous with the veggies.
Tony Knull
Solid breakfast. Wouldn't say it's all the hype but definitely enjoyed my food and was seated quickly at the bar.
Gordon Reiher
Very nice chef-based breakfast restaurant.
A little difficult to locate, as it's in a strip mall, but apparently the locals have no problems finding it, given that the place was jumpin at 10:30 on a Monday morning. Fortunately, tables turn over quickly, so we waited no.more than 10 minutes.
Totally worth it This month, March being "Irish" month, featured Irish based items (corned beef and leek eggs Benedict? ) So good, best corned beef I ever ate. "House made, and roasted for 5 hours" says the pleasant waitress. I guess that officially makes it pastrami, but no matter - it was goood! Wife's scrambled eggs were not overcooked, and the "streaky bacon" was a keeper. Washed it all down Badger-style with a Bloody and a sidecar.
Had a delightful house made iced spice cake for "dessert" .
Portions were generous, and the prices fair given the quality and freshness of the food.
I hear tell that the next themed month will be "French month", so I'm guessing crepes?
Anyhow, as long as the "Dublin" is on the menu, I'll be back.
Adam M.
It was my 1st time coming here, on a busy Saturday no less, but our waitress Michelle was simply amazing! The food was great as well. We tried the Monkey Bread for a starter & were both on agreement that, that alone made the wait worth it.
Elliott Hough
Honestly, hands down probably one of the best breakfast places ever! They have a nice waiting area outside you can order a bloody at if you wait for a table. Their twist on everything makes it delicious and not too over the top crazy but yet unique. Great place and great service.
Shari Hebert
My first time here and I was pleased with the cleanliness and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient with service. Very impressed with the flavor of the food.
Matt R
Overall it was average. I got the chicken chorizo omelette, the eggs portion was dry, and there was very little chorizo in it, it was all clumped in the back of the omelette, also it was hard to tell if there was chicken in it. Not sure if it was because the chicken was finely cut or what. I did enjoy their hash browns. Wasn’t very impressed with the prices either, food, and coffee plus average tip was just under $20. Service was good to great no issues there. To summarize....average.
Carol Wagner
Blue's Egg, in both its locations, is a popular breakfast restaurant. It has a full, diverse menu of all popular breakfast dishes, plus its "monkey bread." Large servings. Get to either location by 8:00 a.m., and you probably won't have to wait; by 8:30 you probably wil. This place is great, definitely worth the wait! The staff was friendly, attentive, and service prompt. The food was excellent and their recommendations were on point.
Jon Flanagan
My chicken sandwich was too tough to eat. Waiter immediately agreed to comp the cost and threw in a couple of nice cookies. My companion's fried chicken salad was great. 1st time I have had a bad dish here.
Zeller Daniel
Very good food reasonably priced I go there all the time and eat I would recommend it for anybody
Erica Adkins
Breakfast was delicious. Most interesting breakfast experience ever. They served huge Bloody Mary's with a bacon strip and pickle spear and give you a free beer. How can anyone eat after all of that?
Warren Dugan
I'm not normally part of the contingent that gets moist for Blue's Egg. It's always so crowded and the food is a bit pricey for what you get.
But of the several times I've been here, this visit was by far the best. From the use of Yelp to cut the time in line to superior service and a fantastic Croque Madame with a pancake (see picture), I'm moving towards joining Team Blue's Egg.
The only negative was the way our server hovered over our table at the end of the meal, strongly suggesting we vacate the table.
Jessica Elizabeth Owens
This place is the best ever. No exaggerating, the service was the best, food was stellar, and they even give you a to go coffee on your way out. My husband and I both consider this the best breakfast we've ever had.
Ingrid Ramirez
Anytime I come by, I always have such fun servers. Everything I have tried from Blue's Egg has been solid. If you're violently hung over, or are a big breakfast person, this is your spot. It's not my first place for brunch. Nevertheless, I keep coming back!
Tej Mehta
Fairly good brunch location. Their monkey bread is to die for, but I would pass on the "Crunk" that is optional with it (some kind of a whiskey sauce, it's just ok).
Drinks are good, my fiance had an excellent bloody mary and I had a "dairy-state". Would get these drinks again, the bloody mary in particular!
The entrees were fine, nothing mind blowing. My fiance had the buttermilk chicken sandwich, I had the vegan burrito. Neither were particularly memorable in a positive or negative sense.
Caveat went here with my fiance during covid so they had some dining restrictions.
Overall would come back even if just for the monkey bread and drinks!
Dominic Potratz
Very friendly staff, and the food was amazing! The wait was fairly long, and I was afraid the food would take a while to get to the table because of how busy it was, but the service was fast, and they kept our table satisfied. This was my first time at Blue's Egg, and it definitely held up to the standards of their other locations. I recommend to any breakfast lovers!
Rebecca Tadsen
Every time I am in Milwaukee I HAVE to stop in. The food is phenomenal. I have never had something I didn't enjoy. There is always a wait but they now participate in the "No Wait" app so you can put yourself in line prior to arriving, however, they won't seat you unless your entire part has arrived. TOTALLY worth the wait though. I highly recommend the monkey bread as well as The Dubliner.
Jeanne Zautner
Flawless. We tried a combination of sweet and savory dishes and shared with one another - don't panic, we are all family. Everything was wonderful, from the bloody Mary to the great service to the Valentine coffee.
