First time dining in. I ordered pho, pad see ew and papaya salad thai style. Everything was so good! Wish I had known about this place sooner. Taste just like homemade and my mom’s cooking. If you want authentic laos/thai food, definitely check this place out. The restaurant is clean and small, perfect for those casual days. I will be back to try other dishes :)

I went in for lunch, and had a great visit. I ordered chicken satay, Thai tea, yellow curry, and Pad Prig Pow. All arrived promptly and were hot and flavorful. The sticky rice was wonderful, it’s not often I’ve received sticky rice that I could eat with chopsticks, so that was a pleasant experience. The restaurant was clean and neat. I’ll certainly be returning for another meal.

What a nice surprise! Longtime fan of Chinese food, this is a different but good twist. Prompt service reasonable prices and very good food. Try the spring rolls!

Nice little Thai/Lao restaurant. Went for the Phobruary $5 pho deal (between 2 other local restaurants). Was not disappointed, obviously the portion is smaller for the deal. The broth is clear and well flavored. Not too oily or dense. Meat was a good mix of beef slices and meat balls. Condiments and sides (basil, bean sprouts, lime and jalapeno) was good. Also tried the fresh rolls and pork Eggrolls.

I’ve only gotten takeout here (actually via door dash) and it is amazzzing. Some of our go to’s are the house chow mein noodles, kang panang, the pad Thai, and our kids are obsessed with the sesame chicken. The best sticky rice (but I always get some jasmine for leftovers)! You can make almost anything as spicy as you want. We’ve had chicken, beef, and shrimp and the quality and freshness of all the ingredients is tops. Whenever we order somewhere else we end up saying “why didn’t we get Bamboo!?”

Do not hesitate as Bamboo is the best place for your Asian fix! Everything is delicious from their traditional dishes to outstanding Chinese standards. We think about trying other places to spread to love, but we just can’t cause we are hooked!!! Keep up the great work guys!

Decided to try something new. Was planning on going next door and realized the next restaurant was closed. Glad it was because this small place is amazing. A true jem. The food was good, and you can tell with every bite that they take pride in their product and the quality of it. Once the food arrives you are left amazed by the portions of the food, the smells of the spices and the visual appearance of it all. The owner came out and asked how everything was. Very kind, polite and make sure our visit was something to remember. They offered us more food to make sure we left full and happy. I found a new favorite restaurant. Can’t wait to try other dishes in the near future.

Jesus, this place is amazing. It’s a small restaurant that really quenches your thirst for Thai food. The owner makes everything FROM SCRATCH!!! Can you top that? No, you can not. The other Asian restaurants surrounding Bamboo do not compare. Service was amazing, food was also great. Good luck finding something better than Bamboo.

Love this small gem! Pho is really good and volcano chicken is even better! Nice small family owned and operated restaurant. Very kind family! I refer everyone here 😋 they are also in the same southside community as my family’s restaurant so each time I go I feel good about supporting a local small business that has continued to operate during covid! Thai tea is a nice drink to try while visiting!

I love this place! The food is excellent as well as inexpensive, it is always fresh and the cooks make many of the sauces themselves. I prefer it to the surrounding (also excellent) places. My favorite is the Tom Kha soup. Their specialty is not American Chinese food, so stick with the more authentic dishes and you won't be disappointed!

This is my very favorite Thai place in Milwaukee... rivaled only by Thai Palace which is no longer in existence and was eclipsed by King and I which is a monster of a building in comparison and fancier, but I never thought the food was as good. Bamboo restaurant has everything I want in a Thai restaurant: delicious Thai Iced Tea, amazing eggrolls and fresh rolls, anything with the super wide rice noodles is tasty and has satisfying textures, the pad Thai is one step above the rest, the Tom kha soup has such complexity of flavor, and the curry fried rice with pineapple is another one of my favorites. It is a small family run business. I always see the same staff. They are friendly and helpful and give great customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great Thai food and local business. ❤️

We order from Bamboo fairly frequently. The food is always hot and delicious. We especially like the noodle dishes but there are so many great choices on the menu. Mango curry, orange chicken, and the spring rolls are some of our other favorites.

Beef Pad See Ew had a lot of vegetables in it, which I liked, but the meat wasn't a lot. The whole thing was a bit saucey and the noodles were a bit soggy, but at least it's not too sweet and the spiciness was OK. The portion could be bigger for the price. (This is my first time trying this type of dish so I couldn't tell if it's authentic.)

This place has a good variety of different options to chose from. I’ve been to a few Asian restaurants that are pretty good, but me and my family came here plenty of times. They have good food and the service is very nice. They gave me and my family a free appetizer our first time there.

It was very tasty! The food was fresh and prepped upon ordering unlike a few other Thai places I've been to. The couple who owns the place are very sweet and curious. My husband devoured is mango curry while I enjoyed my pad thai. The place is small but very clean and cheerful. Give these guys a shot. They have 10% off during lunch (12:00-2:30).

I'd give 4.5 stars. I loved the Thai Iced Tea, the eggrolls, and the shrimp lo mein. The veggies were fresh and nicely seasoned. However, the mild food we ordered was still pretty spicy. I liked the noodles and veggies in the Pad See Ew, but prefer a thicker sauce.

I ordered delivery last night. I ordered spicy and man, it was HOT! Loved the food and quality. My only issue is that they must use MSG since my belly erupted and cramped up. They don't give any information when I searched so next time, I'll specify NO MSG and we'll see how spicy/hot the food is.

Talk about inconsistency! I had the Mango Curry, it did not have any tomatoes in it despite saying so on the menu, no big deal. I wasn’t quite sure what to make of it, it had a very smoky aroma, but not very spicy. I t came with some extra spice, so I threw it in. It was enjoyable, but not great. If cooking over a fire is authentic Laotian/Thai, then this was authentic, because that’s what it reminded me of. The next week I intended to eat at Thai BBQ, but it was closed, so I decided to eat at Bamboo again. I decided to have the Mango Curry again, and it was totally different. It had the tomatoes as the menu said, but also scallions. No big deal but the smoky aroma was not there and it tasted like they forgot the Curry! Very bland! If I had eaten in I could have had them fix it, so I had to try to spice it up myself. I will compliment them on their meat, and freshness of veggies, but I’m a little scared to go back there again because I don’t know what I will be getting. I would give them a 4 on the first visit, a 2 or maybe 3 on the second.

The pho was tasty and fragrant which we all ordered. The condiment plate wasn't enough for 4 bowls so we asked for another which the waitress happily brought. Egg rolls were crispy and fresh. We will be back.

Very unique location and the food I ordered (the Lagar) was delicious! I highly recommend. A word from the wise: be aware that they will take you very serious when you ask for it to be spicy. I recommend asking for one step down in spiciness, even if you are one of those people who never seem to think that restaurants make things spicy enough.

This is my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. Their Thai and Lao dishes are fantastic. I particularly recommend the Pad Kee Mao noodles, Tom Kha soup, and fresh rolls with plum hoisin sauce. Each of these is a cut above similar versions I've had at other Milwaukee area spots.

I’m lucky I’ve lived in Thailand for almost ten years. I’m very picky when it comes to authentic Thai food and I can assure you this is the place ! I had the Som tum (papaya salad), laab (spicy beef salad), Tom yum and Tom Kha soups, pad seeew, and some sticky rice. Will be a regular for sure while I’m here. Friendly environment and overall very happy !

The Spring Rolls were huge and very delicious...I had to take 1/2 home with me as the beef Pud Thai arrived very quickly. I had to force myself to stop short of finishing this wonderful dish and I was very glad that I had Thai tea to quelch the heat as I ordered it hot.

We came in for Phobruary which was $5 Pho in February in Silver City in Milwaukee! Bamboo was sooo very satisfying! My family took me here for my birthday and I loved it! The Pho's flavor was exceptional! The extra garnishes were very delicious in our soups! I think my wife's BBQ Pork Pho was ridiculous, yum! The Vege Pho was clean and delicious! My beef Pho was beyond flavorful! I will be back again and again!

Great little Thai restaurant in the Silver City. The did was excellent and the little space felt cozy. During February they have a thing called Phobrothuary were you can get Pho for just $5 and it's great. Highly recommend it.

This is a cozy place that serves great Thai and Laotian dinners. This is home style recipes so the flavors may be stronger or slightly different from typical local fare. It has been described as "mama's home cooking if your mama was from Thailand or Laos". If you are a fan of Asian cusine, this is a must try.

Fantastic Laotian food! Very fresh and made with love. Santana is so enthusiastic and takes pride in her cooking. She and her husband are living their dream with this restaurant. I have had the papaya salad, mango salad, sticky rice, beef jerky, homemade sausage (not on the menu) Kow Paik & Kow Poun. Everything has been consistent and delicious!! I am so glad they have opened and am telling everyone about them!

Fun fact about jaguars; they love Thai food. You must be thinking, why would a predatory animal endemic to the Americas enjoy this spicy cuisine? And therein lies your answer. Jaguars cannot find this food at home. What makes Bamboo my favorite Lao and Thai restaurant in the Milwaukee area is not only the flavor of the dishes, but the ingredients. Their curries, soups, and noodle dishes are filled with a variety of fresh mushrooms and vegetables. Favorites include the cucumber salad (get it spicy!), Chinese broccoli, green curry, and pad kee mao noodles. On one occasion the food was not consistent with the flavor and quality I had come to expect, but after a few repeat visits this issue had been resolved.
