Reviews of Ardent
Morgan Olszewski
Ardent is second to none - from atmosphere, to service, to food it is truly the best of the best. We come from Chicago to visit the team at Ardent because there is nothing like it. This would without a doubt be a Michelin Starred experience if Michelin was in MKE. So thank you, once again for experience that is second to none with all the memories made. Would also like to add their accommodations for allergies is incredible!
Colleen Drinkwater
An experience for sure! The food was wonderful. I took the lead from other reviews and ordered the beverage pairings. I was absolutely impressed with how they highlighted the food and the food highlighted them. The 12 course meal started light and was a great introduction to the earthy flavors to come. The desserts appropriately finished the meal and had my taste buds singing for more. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the team did a great job answering our questions, and did a wonderful job with service.

Amazing dining experience with the tasting menu. Small and cozy with an amazing staff. They accommodated gluten and dairy allergies amazingly (still got amazing bread for the caviar and carrot cake bite with vegan frosting). Mocktails were amazing too! A+

Ardent is an experience unlike any other. Dinner was 12 courses and each one was so creative. I tried things I've never had before and things prepared in ways I've never even imagined. The service was impeccable, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was cool. It's definitely a special occasion dinner, but worth every penny.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Ardent. It's an intimate space that feels like you're in some sort of underground club you only hear about by word of mouth. The food makes it feel like we should be in some kind of black tie affair, but it's still a cool space.
The service is out of this world! The whole service is a carefully choreographed affair and it is just so impressive to experience. I think we interacted with every staff member in the place which was really cool.
But guys, the FOOD! The menu is seasonal, which I love. There were a couple things on the menu that I had never tried and wasn't quite sure about, but everything was just outrageously delicious. The wine pairing beautifully complemented every course, as well.
Overall, I would highly recommend visiting if you have the opportunity.

Simply an amazing meal.. we were visiting from NYC and have eaten at some of the best restaurants. This was way up there as one of the best! The 9 course tasting menu also comes with snacks, extra dessert bites and even a baked good to take home for breakfast the next day (we we're stuffed!). Every aspect of the meal, from the homemade pottery for each dish, the linens handmade by the owner's mother, the story behind each beverage pairing, the fact that everything was locally sourced from the family farm, the thoughtful, friendly and attentive staff. Every dish was absolutely exquisite. My favorites were the croissant with muenster cheese and the mussels with green garlic. My husband's favorites were the crab celeriac custard and the French fries with ice cream dessert! We were sad to leave but excited to tell everyone back home to come to Milwaukee and eat here. Thank you for an amazing dining experience!

Ardent is by far the most luxurious, decadent and creative meal we've had so far in Milwaukee. Chef Justin and his staff live up to hype of executing seasonal, locally sourced dishes that combine art, finesse, and flavor. Each course is thoughtfully paired with wine or beer meant to truly complement and not overpower. The croissant is not to be missed, nor the beef sourced from Chef Justin's own family farm. The staff is highly attentive and share in all duties from refilling water (Chef Justin was at our table numerous times) to putting out dishes and explaining each taste. It was a decadent taste of what's best in Milwaukee and Wisconsin! Worth the expense and well worth the trip!
Becky Valcq
Cozy atmosphere, attentive but friendly service and the food! Every course was flavorful and beautifully presented. It is a set tasting menu; can be paired with wine if you choose. It was the best dining experience we have had in a while! Fantastic!
emily geiger
If I could give this 4.5 I would. I like that they utilize local food. I found that the flavors definitely were unique to milwaukee taste, but some of the dishes were lacking. They did well with the wine pairings. Customer service was on point and I appreciated the intimate, personalized dining experience. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for a high end food experience
Paul Beck
A very thoughtfully crafted tasting menu with equally considerate wine pairings. Each menu item lept to the next and kept you waiting for the next bite.
Sandra Kirkpatrick
Was very good. If Rustic and Elagant could marry it would be this place. It was a very comfortable atmosphere. The food is top notch, let it elavate your taste buds.
They start you off with snacks. One of them will make you want a big pretzel bowl of beer cheese soup. Well I did me.
The beef tartare topped with deviled egg and bone marrow was delicious.
The Brassica will make you rethink what tofu is.. its yummy, is what it is.
They also serve a couple of vegetable dishes, that are so worth mentioning. The cabbage made me think of my corned beef I make at St. Patty's and their Arcorn Squash so good. I think I will try grilling acorn squash to see if I can find that type of flavor again.
And my favorite dish was the Beef. Steak, kohlrabi, cream, onion.. here is the menu. Oh and the Phone pillow too let you phone relax while you eat.
Kim Anderson
Went here for a birthday dinner. Food was amazing, wonderful explanation of the courses. Staff was friendly.
Jen Peters
Everything was beyond fantastic. We sat at the chefs table, tasting menu with drink pairings, kitchen tour after. Even had the chef pull out his notebook to share a recipe. Looking forward to a return visit.
Jessica Jacobs
GO TO THIS RESTAURANT! Seriously this is some of the best ramen I have ever had. Their appetizers are unique, the broth is fatty, and they serve up some seriously cool desserts. They are also open late and serve PBR to the after bar crowd!
Bob Amar
Wonderful, intimate high-end tasting menu experience with a variety of seasonal flavors. Environment is a little plain, but it keeps it from being too stuffy; the effort is concentrated on the food and drink, which comes across as playful and adventurous for this sort of thing. Don't miss out on the beverage pairings, which heighten the experience with some hard-to-find wines.
Aubrey Schaefer
Can food surprise you? Can it upend how you view cuisine? Can it subvert your expectations?
I've twice had the tasting menu here. The first time was early in Ardent's life. Each course a swaggering flex. Of particular note was a reconstructed French onion soup, turned into a weird little bite and finished with onion powder toasted by falling through the flame of a burner.
Heady stuff.
I can't for the life of me remember what I had on my second visit. I do remember it being not quite as showy, but far more adventurous. I do remember it being delicious. I do remember a wine flight more emphatic and flavorful than most cocktail bars in Milwaukee. And in particular, a sake that, through the magic of fermentation, tasted like cherries. But cherry-er. This isn't to say that the food on my second visit was forgettable - it's more like my mind was so blown by the whole experience that it's beyond my capacity to describe it in such earthly things as words.
Sit at the counter if you can! Especially if you are interested in the finer points of your meal. The waiters are extremely well-versed in what they are serving, and fantastic people besides, but talking to the chefs just takes it to the next level. These are people who are having an adventure, and really want you to come along.
The level of passion and attention to detail are radiantly obvious.
This isn't a meat-and-two-veg affair like Bacchus or Sanford. Not a slight against either of those eateries - they cover the traditional end of things well. Rather, Ardent is doing something experimental. Farm-to-table, fascinating remixes of flavors you might think you know. Dishes that are at once familiar and totally unexpected. Well worth the visit.
I look forward to my return.
Jeffrey Mosser
This was THE best high-end dinner I've had in Milwaukee. This multi-course meal was satisfying, exciting, interesting, and decadent. The service had fantastic attention to detail and understood great pairing. For another special occasion, we would be back in a heartbeat.
Christian Thomas
Best meal we’ve had in years. Amazing service. Makes me very proud of our little Milwaukee. Genuine culinary creativity.
Isaac Braun
I took my wife there for our anniversary and the experience was phenomenal! We were welcomed by name when we entered the restaurant. Each course was great and the wine pairings couldn't have been better. I couldn't have anticipated a better experience! The best food I have ever had the privilege to enjoy. It was so much more than the food, it was the attention to detail. The in-depth explanation of each course and each pairing really added to the experience. I offer my strongest recommendation for Ardent!
Steven Debrincat
Absolutely delicious food. Quite at adventure from one meal to the next. The staff are wonderful. Couldn't have been happier with the experience. DELICIOUS
Aaron Kinney
Unreal. So good. A must for all to try in Milwaukee, especially the 10 course meal.
Dan Rieland
I organized a private event at Ardent and everything couldn't have gone better. Russel was patient with me and fantastic to work with. The food was excellent and we were even pleased to see some pickier eaters enjoy everything put in front of them. I highly recommend Ardent!
Caleb Schmitt
My fiance and I had the pleasure of dining at Ardent last night, and wow! What an experience! The space is cozy and well decorated. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. They did a great job explaining courses and drink pairings. The food was incredible and while we had favorite courses throughout the meal, there was no "bad" course at all! The drink pairing was a great choice and I would highly recommend it!
I can't say a bad thing about our experience, it was incredible and I can't wait to stop back!
Edward Hastings
Food was inventive and different. Food flavor profiles unique. Portions were in the one to two bite size, but there were 12 individual offerings. Price was not particularly a value but not in the unexpected range for chef driven high end restuarant. Ours was in the $150.00 range per person after a couple of drinks tips and taxes.
It would be helpful that a detailed food explanation printed menu be either distributed up front or at each serving other wise you must remember the chef describing the 3-4 combo of flavors for each serving without a reference point after they leave the table. Plates and serving vessels were very interesting and added to the experience.
Wine pours were in the 4 - 5 ounce level, not generous however the quality and price was in the mid teens for most glasses as to be expected to be charged in higher end eateries. Just not a value proposition.
It is table service not watching chef prepare however there are some bar seats that offer a view.
Hospitality was efficient and pleasant but not welcoming friendly. Not a negative just a style perspective.
Overall a very nice and different restaurant.
April Shays
A friend who knows good food recommended Ardent to me, so I knew I was in for a treat, but I was blown away by the friendly service, the knowledge of the food and wine pairings which were served, as well as the obvious dedication to quality and locally-sourced food product. Well done, all. I'll be back and sending folks this way immediately. We had the sample tasting menu with wine pairings for each course and I would highly recommend it. :)
Dan Schiller
The food is incredible and is prepared with thought and artful skill. I believe they source some locally which is a plus. I'm pretty specific about the kind of environment that sets the stage for a quality dining experience and unfortunately for me the pretention felt over the top and overall Ardent was a more sterile atmosphere than I'm into but I appreciate that's what some folks are looking for. Enjoyed the meal but probably not going to be a recurring favorite.
Kaitlin Wille
I'm an event planner and I hired Ardent to do the catering for a birthday dinner party for 16 guests. Chef Justin came up with a delicious 4-course prix-fixed menu and paired it with the perfect wines. Every course was plated to perfection on-site and the chef and wine sommelier were a pleasure to work with, genuine, friendly and great at what they do. I truly enjoyed working with them and would happily use them for any future events!
William Jarvis
The bites just kept coming. Sweet, caring, customized...the staff was awesome and the menu they put together was amazing. It was an experience as much as anything.
Emilio Dlism
A couple of staff changes since my last visit, but same amazing dining experience! Last night may have been my favorite Ardent tasting men to date. Every dish had a savory factor, even the sweet dishes, and every dish gave me the same feeling of awe, when I looked at each dish and listened to the chef described the components and preparation
Barrett McCormick
We have been to Ardent a few times and have always truly enjoyed. There is so much flavor packed into the food that every bit can be savored. It's wonderfully creative. Delicious wines, expertly chosen. I was surprised and delighted over and over again. Really big fun.

When you are going to a restaurant like this, you need to understand that you are paying for more than "just food". You are paying for the intimate atmosphere, for top notch service, for the artistry of the flavors and presentation, and for an exquisite farm-to-table culinary experience being presented right here in Milwaukee.
My wife and I have been looking forward to trying Ardent for a long time and finally had a chance to visit for her birthday. We made reservations in advance, and the excellent service began from that point on, as they called my to confirm the reservation and asked about potential food allergies and dining preferences.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and had our coats taken by a member of the staff prior to seating. We both chose the tasting menu and had the wine pairing to complement.
The 8 course menu was served by seemingly every member of the staff including the chefs, and it was a really cool experience to hear each bite described by the people who made it so we could really understand the ingredients and the intentions behind each plate. Since the menu is always changing I don't think it makes sense to delve deeply into my opinions of any course in particular, but suffice to say I enjoyed every dish tremendously despite several containing ingredients I ordinarily would not choose on my own. I thought the presentation of each course was creative but functional, and I appreciated the interesting use of local ingredients to express flavor combinations I would not have thought of previously. My wife and I found the wine pairings to be spot on, to the point that we found some of the wines to be much more enjoyable with the food courses than on their own.
If I have one critique, honestly it would be that the wine pairing included almost too much wine. I have to admit by the end of the meal I was seriously feeling the amount of alcohol I had consumed. All was delicious, but I think I could have dealt with smaller pours and experienced the complementary flavors with a bit less alcohol. That's a nitpick and it did not sour my experience, but if I were forced to suggest something to improve, that would be it.
Ardent is not an economical night out, but that isn't the point. This is some of the most fun, creative, and unique cuisine I have had in Wisconsin and rivals or exceeds experiences I have had in much pricier restaurants in larger cities. This may be a once a year kind of place to eat, but it is well worth the trip if you are interested in this type of food and experience. My wife and I felt special from the moment we entered the small dining room, and that continued throughout the entire meal. We will be back. Highly recommended.
Leah Heine
We had the tasting menu with the wine pairings last night and it was awesome! The space is cozy and intimate. I love how the chef also incorporates produce and beef from his family farm. This place is a gem! I was bummed when the meal was over. I wanted more.
Rhiannon Napieralski
Ardent is an experience. The staff takes such care, not only in the food and beverages they serve, but also in making sure their guests are treated exceptionally. We were served eleven phenomenal courses. At one point my husband finished a dish of mine because it featured an ingredient I don't care for. The Ardent staff saw this and brought a replacement dish to make sure I got something that I loved. Their attention to detail is really something special.
David Nelsen
We have been eating at Ardent for years. It has been about 7 months since we were last there.
What an excellent meal and enjoyable experience. Very happy.
Truly the best it has ever been.
Better get back a little sooner next time.
Joseph Frederick
We each had a different chefs menu that we could try all flavors. Very outstanding
My guest and I enjoyed it very much. My guest asked how long the 8 course chefs menu would last and totally have new things - about 2 weeks was the answer.
Price point high for Milwaukee but there's nothing like it so it's hard to compare. Will go back. Staff attentive, polite, gracious; was shocked to see bad reviews about staff
steve waclawski
Our first visit to Ardent but not our last. Each course was outstanding with extraordinary presentation and flavors to match. The wine pairings were perfect and we enjoyed the information provided on each wine. We’ve dined at many fine restaurants throughout this country and Ardent is at the top. Looking forward to our next visit

We had the tasting menu at Ardent and the food was simply incredible. It was really well thought out and every course was great. There were a couple of courses that were slightly outside of my comfort zone (beef tartare), but once i tried it, i had to finish it. The reason for four stars is mostly because the restaurant is a bit like eating in your garage. It's cold, so there's a space heater on the floor, which I've never seen in even a 1 star restaurant. The music is provided through computer speakers placed in a corner of the room. There are even blankets on the chairs, in case you get too cold. Ardent is a really good choice for the right type of person--adventurous eaters who are more interested in taste and a unique experience. People who value food as an art and consider the meal equivalent to a concert or a Broadway show. Ardent definitely isn't the type of place i would take my parents to celebrate a birthday or a promotion, though.

Amazing dining experience. Went with some friends, was a little wary since I’ve never done a “tasting menu” before but I went with an open mind. Glad I did. Food and drinks were absolutely top notch, even the dishes I didn’t think I’d like were enjoyable (12 courses!). Staff were very friendly, professional and understanding even when one of our group was 30 minutes late. The relaxed and cozy atmosphere let us have conversations while enjoying our meal. The entire evening was worth every penny and I highly recommend experiencing Ardent if you haven’t already.

Such a great experience. The service was superb and the food luxurious. We chose this dining experience to celebrate an anniversary and it was such a special treat. The food is very rich so make sure you are hungry when you arrive.

We experienced dinner here with the liquor pairing. Great service and one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. I highly recommend it.
Sonja Montgomery
I had a terrific experience at Ardent. We chose the chef's tasting menu and just let them cook for us--if you go to Ardent, you should do this too! Each chef talked to us about the course as they gave it to us. They were clearly so proud of the work they had put into the food and so proud of Wisconsin. The beef on the largest course was SO GOOD--it's raised by the chef's dad at a farm in Wisconsin, and it was tender, flavorful, and delicious. Although I'm no wine expert, the drinks Ardent chose genuinely made the meal better.
The whole place was small and well done--from the handmade cloth napkins to the cookbooks on the bookshelves. Book ahead of time, and enjoy your experience, it's totally worth it.
Cortney Petty
Great place with great food and drinks! Went here with boyfriend for 2 year anniversary. The music is really good too, a nice pandora station. The chefs come out individually and present each course and explain it. For one course they even said “this is from chef (can’t remember name’s) farm up north, he slaughtered the cow himself. I like that they’re using local, non-factory farmed meat. Great place to get dressed up for a 2 hour night out.
Suzanna Challen
I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have a medical reason for not eating gluten, dairy and egg, and they did all of the tasting menu for us and, for example, an ice cream substitute was so delicious I couldn't believe it was really dairy free. The staff were great, the atmosphere cozy, the whole experience was transcendent because of the food, which was divine. Dont miss this place!
Scott Johnson
We had an amazing 4 hour dinner on our visit. Different chefs came to the table to explain what we were about to eat and how it was prepared as well. So of us had wine pairings with the meal as well. Top notch establishment and reservations are highly recommended.
Jane Jenkins
We had a perfect experience in this restaurant. It started when our waiter helped us choose our wine. He really listened to our preferences and steered us toward a delicious, food-friendly wine. He patiently helped us with the descriptions on the menus so we could decide whether to go with a fixed price option or order a la carte. The...

Recently dined at Ardent as a group of four. We opted for the a la carte menu, ordering almost everything on the menu and a few items twice. All of us were very impressed with the cozy room and service. The way they presented the food was outstanding. Staff was very, very nice and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I'll definitely go back & have already been recommending it to friends.
Michelle Edgell
Husband and I were blown away! We've NEVER experienced anything that even compares to Ardent Restaurant! We tried the wine suggestion to pair with the Amazing Food! WOW! I could just go on and on..
LOVED LOVED LOVED ARDENT. : ) : )
Sam Kinderman
Service is exceptional. Intimate tasting menu. The dishes are beautifully composed with a Midwestern twist that make it very special to our area. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining experience!
Simon Westlake
Amazing food and service. The restaurant is a beautiful space, and the meal we had was imaginative and delicious. I selected a drinks pairing with the fixed menu and each drink was well explained and paired wonderfully. Can't wait to go back!
C. Alberto Figueroa
8 course menu. Most dishes were vegetarian except for one containing chicken and another a beef steak.
Really elaborated, deep flavors. First quality ingredients. Extremely friendly service. Would definitely repeat!
Tim Witmer
Excellent service, no hint of pretension, ambiance was a bit lacking but nothing that distracted too much from the experience.
We opted for the tasting menu. Presentation was fantastic and were impressed with nearly every course, although they really missed with an almost burnt cheese soup pretzel bite and another similarly constructed creme puff bite that also had an overdone shell.
We weren't expecting big portions, but the tiny sizes of all 8 courses left us ravenous. We ended up grabbing 2nd dinner at a nearby establishment after ordering a quick snack at the Ramen place next door.
If you're looking for something new it might be worth a try as you won't find too many other places in Milwaukee with the creatively constructed dishes that you'll experience here. But for the money I'd personally prefer a night a Bacchus or a check half the size for a satisfying meal at La Merenda.
Bottom line: Fun to try, but I don't think we'll be back.
Andrew Kull
This was a life changing experience. The food was literally mind blowing. I giggled while eating a dish that looked like creme brulee and tasted like the best seafood dish I've ever eaten. Two plus hours of amazing dish after amazing dish with wine pairings.
Ashlee Ahlf
We love this place! My best friend and I have come the last couple of years for our birthdays. Food is stellar and the service is even better. The cocktails are very simple but out of this world.
rebecca Krueger
We chose ardent to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday. Every step of the way the staff at ardent made us feel comfortable, and welcome. The food was incredible. They created such a memorable experience for us, we will be back!
Ania Omelianchik
It has been 3 years since we visited, now there is only pre fixe menu. Food is incredible, small portions with perfect flow of courses. Accommodated my lactose intolerance beautifully by creating new dishes.
Jet Gramma
Fun evening to taste amazing flavors created by Chef Justin and crew!
Michael McCormick
Probably the best meal we've had in Milwaukee. The service was outstanding. The pairings were perfect. We left satiated and eager to return. 6 stars.
Daniel Mellenthin
That was probably the finest meal I've had in my life. And guys, don't worry when the first coarse is smaller than some dog treats, there's plenty more coming. PRO TIPS: Do their pairing! I recommend the chef's table when that's an option.
Nabeel Sharif
Ardent. Truly Wisconsin. Delicious tasting menu. Great wine parings. Chef Justin Carlisle really knows what he is doing. Probably the best restaurant I've ever been to.
Zouyan Lu
Went for Red Light Ramen, open 11:30pm - 2 am. You have to arrive early (10:45 it so) if you want to be seated in the first wave, though it was nearly zero degrees outside, there was still a line of about 20+ people.
I was a bit disappointed with the Ramen. The noodles were really good, and so were the toppings. But the broth was far too salty. You can tell they put a lot of work into the broth to build flavors and make it creamy, but it was a real shame that the salt level made it difficult to eat.
It was something to experience, but probably not worth 45 minutes of waiting in the cold.
Aaron Stadler
5/21 - I only had to make reservations a few days in advance , but the time slots were very limited.... We ended up getting a 6:15 reservation through their website, which is early for us to eat, as anything after that was already filled up.
Upon arrival the place was absolutely dead... It was the two of us and another table of 3. We arrived late due to construction so by now it was about 6:30... We were seated at the bar which began our "experience".
For the first few minutes sitting at the bar we were not acknowledged by anyone, which was a little uncomfortable as we are looking over the kitchen filled with employees. Later we were finally tended to and the service from there on out was excellent.. They offer a drink list in the beginning with a small selection of wines, beer, and a few specialty drinks ,but nothing impressive... We ordered drinks and our main waiter came back with them and told us about the chefs 8 course tasting for that evening.. Prior to arriving we had looked at the menu and I had watched the Foodie episode which touched on a few dishes that I/we wanted to try..I had to ask to see the standard menu as it was not offered to us, which is a little odd..
We ordered:
- Escargot
- Milk
- Beef Tartare
- Duck
- Chocolate
I am not going to go into the numerous amounts of times that we have had all of these or similar dishes at other restaurants, I will just comment on how Ardent performed...
First the chef brought out the snack to start ( breadish round pretzel filled with a cheese sauce) which was "ok".
- Escargot had a good flavor , too heavy on the parsley, and chewy....needed salt
- Milk , the house made butter was delicious, cheese was ok, and the bread was very good
- Beef Tartare, huge portion for tartare, good quality but a little chewy as well... I may be the first reviewer to claim you serve a huge portion of anything ! lol
- Duck , the turnips and broth were delicious, but the duck was flavorless ,tough and chewy...again needed salt..
- Chocolate ... good and different
Food : Fantastic presentation, but in our opinion it lacked flavor
Decor : Nothing to see here other then to watch the chefs preparing the food.
Service : Again excellent, especially with the plates and utensils being removed and replaced after every course
Reservations : Easy online booking , but keep in mind the only reservation we were able to get for that evening was at 6:15, we left the restaurant around 8:15 and there were still several spots at the bar and a table or two available.....
Bathroom : Yikes it needs some attention ! One unisex bathroom for the restaurant and it was filthy, and the restaurant had only been opened about an hour....
We anticipated going to Ardent for the past few months after hearing about it from friends and colleagues, and we were really looking forward to a somewhat unique dining experience.. We did not experience that on this particular evening.

This place is so amazing on every level. The food, the atmosphere, THE SERVICE. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a passion for food. They are also super accommodating to those with dietary restrictions and/or allergies.
Simon Rozalski
Every bite left a smile, truly an unforgettable experience.
Scott Cuthbert
Amazing! The while experience was wonderfully performed. All parts were played well and the food was fantastic. Super creative and unique that hit on pretty much every note. Definitely would go back.
Greg Gosdeck
Simply phenomenal. Amazingly friendly staff, wonderful food, great atmosphere. Some friends took us here for our wedding gift - highly recommended!
Evgen Lostrikov
A great and unique experience with a menu that's constantly changing. The tasting menu is a must get. The service and explanation of the courses matches the quality of the food
Colleen King
We enjoyed an amazing culinary experience with exciting food, fabulous pairings and a gracious & down-to-earth staff. Thank you for a wonderful & unforgettable evening!

Best. Meal. I. Have. Ever. Had. Hands down. Intimate setting, amazing food and wine pairings, exceptional service and attention to detail - in every aspect of their service.
Benny Swanson
Coming here is always a magical experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are next to none. Definitely do the wine pairings- you won't be disappointed!
Michelle Marts
Nothing stood out in this meal as amazing. Everything was well prepared, but not particularly impressive. We also were still hungry after the dinner which is disappointing for the price.
Raymond Sims
Dude, my friends and I got food poisoned last week from eating that DELICIOUS RAMEN. Trust me it was worth having the runs! That is some delicious Ramen, they just probably had a bad batch that day.
They still get 5 stars for me.
Tim Lecher
Excellent service, amazing local ingredients, and passionate chefs who clearly take pride in their craft. It's just a matter of time before Chef Carlisle wins a James Beard award.
Sharon Cole
Very expensive and more vegetable than meat. The food was very innovative and good but after a meal for over 300 for 2 without tip I should be stuffed. Still a little hungry
Lori Malett
The service was phenomenal, the staff kind, attentive and the food was out of this world. I was surprised how many different plates we sampled and the robust, unique flavors of each!
Alyssa Miller
Amazing food, such a cute unassuming place. Wonderful 10 course tasting, perfectly prepared. Service was wonderful as well.
Jared Groebner
Lots of whipped foods, otherwise fantastic.
Brittany Johns
Attentive wait staff, an inspired tasting menu, and sommelier who enhanced the whole experience. Can't wait to go back.
Linn Elliott
Exquisite food served by a conscientious but down-to-earth staff. Best in Milwaukee, I think (sorry, other Justin!)
Michael Cooney
Good and wine pairings were amazing. Certainly not a cheap dinner, but worth it.
Andrew Chmiel
Awesome experience. A culinary trip that you can't get anywhere else in Milwaukee
Andrew Becker
Atmosphere and service made an amazing meal even better. Wish i couls give them more than 5 stars
Michelle Dowell
A five star experience. Excellent service, beautiful and creative food, cozy setting.
John Fruncek
Absolutely mind blown by the wine pairings! The duck, steak tartare, caviar.. heavenly.
Richard Thraves
Ardent is without a doubt one of the best restaurants you'll ever know.
Scott Klenke
Late night Ramen on Fridays and Saturdays is epic!!! Great staff and atmosphere doesnt hurt either.
E Will
Wasn’t impressed. Very expensive for the minimalism presentation. I may have been there on an off night. I have no desire to go back.
Nicholas Putz
A real treat having a chef with molecular gastronomy experience in Milwaukee.
Chris Stevens
