Fabulous Supperclub atmosphere. Food is amazing. I had Salmon with dill sauce on angelhair. Superb. Hubby had a great New York steak. Drinks are classic. Staff is most professional. Very comfortable seating. Bathrooms are immaculate and beautiful. They do have several banquet halls during constant use but you can’t hear them. Plenty of parking.

This was my family and I first time going, after trying to dine at literally 5 other restaurants. The folks here were extremely wonderful and nice. We felt we were under dressed to sit in the dining area because everyone else there were dressed up, not too much but more than us. We told them we felt under dressed but the assured us we weren't, because of how we felt they told us we can sit in the bar. Long story short, they also made us feel comfortable. Our waitress was great she even blew my mind by naming all salad dressings, the music was awesome, the food was most wonderful. We will be going again.

Went to celebrate valentines and my boyfriends birthday. Food was amazing but our waitress treated us poorly, after we got our food she finally came to check on us after all of our food was gone, she kept giving us dirty looks, and I could see her talking about my boyfriend and I with another waitress. They would talk then look at us and point then talk again and it happened more than once. I don’t know if it was because we are under 21 or what, but we did not feel welcome.

Post funeral luncheon. Very slowly set up buffet. No food service. Tables were bussed regularly. Water was on table. Beverages available in the bar. Or self serve coffee available. Food was hot and good when it finally was provided

I absolutely love this classic well-reknowned Wauwatosa restaurant. You can tell that's is still popular after so many years by the frequently full parking lot. Whether you want to meet a colleague for a drink and appetizers at the separate bar room or enjoy a family dinner in the tradition of fine Italian dining, Alioto's is the place to find it. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years and my parents used to celebrate many New Years Eves here with friends. The food is well prepared and the service is always outstanding. As many southeast Wisconsin restaurants do, Alioto's also serves a perfect Friday fish fry (which I will sometimes call ahead and get it to go). There is a room downstairs available for larger parties. The reason for such an establishment to endure for so many decades is by providing quality food and service at a decent price.

I've been to Alioto's twice this week. First time I had gluten free chicken and pasta which was very good. I especially enjoyed the fresh cauliflower and broccoli vs frozen vegetables. Todays gluten free fish fry was excellent.

I went here for a memorial dinner in one of the larger back rooms and we all ate banquet style and I have to get this message out to the world. I had some of the most amazing beef stroganoff ever. The chicken was delectable. There was a tray of quartered ham slices and it was the hammiest ham I’ve ever had. Absolutely incredible. The bread had such a great crust on it and when I went back for seconds everything was already gone! My only regret is that I took too long to get started because I didn’t know what I was going to miss out on. My only dilemma is that I now have to fly back to Wisconsin to capture the magic of that meal. I will be back one day, Alioto’s. I will make it back to that beef stroganoff. There are some traditions that make you come back Time After Time. Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, good food and drinks. All at a reasonable price. This family run restaurant makes sure the the Traditions and quality service will continue for all to enjoy. A must stop next time you plan to dine out. ENJOY !

Greetings everybody, I've been coming here since 1987 for their Fish Fry. Today was my first time back in a while. The same Great Fish Fry that I remembered. You have to try it. You won't be disappointed. The staff is very friendly. And don't forget to thank "Tom" up front for his many years of serving us.

On one week's notice, we needed a place for a gathering following a funeral. We didn't know how many would attend or the duration of our stay. The Alioto’s team was very accommodating. They offered a room that could expand if needed, we had three meal options for our guests; Filet, Chicken parmesan or Shrimp and an open bar. Each guest grabbed a colored card of their dinner choice and placed it on the table in front of them. The staff even asked our youngest guest (4yrs) if he wanted something not offered in the above choices - they wanted to make sure he had an option fitting for him. We ended up having ~30ish people attend, everyone got their food at the same time and was served at the temperature you would expect for a delicious sit-down meal. All guests were very happy with the serving size and flavor. We brought our own sheet cake, the team took it to the back, cut it for us and served to everyone that wanted a piece. What a great experience from the time we called, to the final dish being taken from the tables - awesome awesome awesome. Oh, the price was below what we expected for such great service! Keep doing a great job Alioto’s!

I love the fact that they have separate rooms for large parties. We had a group of 9. Everyone had a great time. The service was great. A few of us ordered from the part of the menu that is 'lite'. It was basically a smaller portion still with all the sides and a dessert. It was nice for us because we didn't need the larger amount. It was a good size portion. I ordered the Sicilian or Italian steak... It was delicious.

Went to get Friday fish fry with friends. Went to their bar area. This is an old school bar. Very large late 50's early 60's ambiance. I loved it and so did my friends. We had our fish Frye's right there. The bartender was a well seasoned professional. Had some excellent single malt whisky. Then the most wonderful bread and clam chowder came out!! Then 10 minutes later the fish came out. It was excellent!! Had an extra piece. The prices were very reasonable!! It was a great experience!!

Given a cramped space for our large group, the lightly breaded scallops were just something they buy by the box load and had no flavor. Nobody in our group enjoyed there food other than the few that got the surf n turf and that's only if they got the steak cooked properly. one of our group received a burnt steak well done after asking for medium. I'm not complaining to hurt this restaurant. Iv always loved coming here but the quality has certainly waned. The prices are very high for a restaurant that hasn't updated in the last 40 years. It seems the owner doesn't care or just doesn't notice his restaurant going down the tube.

This is a good old fashioned supper club. From their broiled cod to the chopped steak the food is superb and made with fresh quality ingredients. Their soups are also delicious and homemade. The owners and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home dining with family. I highly recommend Alioto's to anyone looking for a traditional supper club experience in a casual dining atmosphere.

Just ate the Thanksgiving drive thru meal and it was Dee-Licious! Great job! Everything was perfect and enough for two meals for me. The "real" mashed potatoes, gravy and fresh green beans were my favorite, but everything was good. Very convenient drive through and waited less than 10 minutes at 12:30.

The atmosphere is great, it's very old school and that lends itself to the experience. The service was pretty good, there were some gaps between refills and that sort of thing but overall pretty attentive. The food started off pretty great. Our appetizer was good and the soups were very good. The entrees however were not very good. I had the chicken parmesan and really did not care for it. While the portion was huge, the breading was very soggy and completely missing in many sections. The plate was just swimming in liquid. For desert we tried the floorless chocolate cake and it sort of reminded me of something you buy in the freezer section. It wasn't bad but didn't really have that fresh taste you want when you order a desert. I would maybe try again but with different expectations.

I would classify this as old school classic. I went on a Friday with my parents to check out the fish fry. There is definitely a lot of energy in the room. We were seated pretty quickly and the service was great – our server was very attentive. Classic fish fry – go check it out. I got the combination plate with mac n cheese on the side.

Thanksgiving Reservations for our large family was taken care of during an extremely busy time! Felt horrible for asking for separate checks! However the steak and shrimp was a nice change from turkey, however I missed the at home family time atmosphere. Everyone had fun but I felt far from everyone in a bigger group. However Alioto's staff came through the first year going to a restaurant for our big family Thanksgiving dinner.🎉🌟 It was a change from tradition, but was satisfying.

Very good food. Very good. Very nice staff except for a couple lazy ladies that may or may not be there anymore, and I have eaten here many of times whether it be a duo, trio, or large groups so I have seen almost all staff members. The reason I had to knock down a star in this review is due to the fact the dishes/plates are overpriced for what you receive, most of the time. This is me not being cheap, as I have eaten at the finest of restaurants to the hole in the walls, some of the best places in my opinion. Again, it is very good, but this is mostly a place where older folks eat, and locals/friends of this extremely established restaurant frequent on a regular basis. Like cheers, they know your name. Which speaks volumes to their customer service. There is a hot chick that I think runs the place now and I won't mention her name, but she could get the strap... on. Circling back, great food, great staff except for a small few older lazy women, and slightly overpriced dishes. Hey, if you have money to through around then this outdated decor, quality but overpriced dish restaurant is for you!

FINALLY! This place has real lake perch without bones! The coleslaw is almost like my mom's. The bread has to be from a famous local Italian bakery. The eggplant appetizer and accompanying marinara was amazing. The supper club charm, service and especially the ownership turned me from a walk-in to a regular, overnight. THANKS, TOM!

Food was great. However spaghetti and meatballs should be served with SPAGHETTI NOODELS, NOT PENNE!!! Ask your server about what type of noodle is in the dish if this is also an issue for you. And to make it worse, the noodles were way undercooked. The sauce was great, and the meatballs devine. But due to the bad choice of pasta, I wont be ordering it again. I wonder if they use penne in their lasagna?

I had a dinner party here, on 03/28/2015, to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The owner was very accommodating, they did all the decorating they used the color of my choice tablecloth and napkins. I had over 60 guest and the price i was given was very reasonable, The wait staff was very prompt, courteous, and friendly, and we had the nicest lady bartender one could ask for!!! And to top that all off the food was simply amazing, it was nice and hot more then enough for all my guest, I couldn't have asked for a better place. Thank You Alioto's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have seen it for years and decided to stop in. We had excellent service. LOTS of food (soup and salad and potato all included in the price, plus bread). It made me nostalgic - felt like a place my grandparents used to take us in the 70s. I loved it. My kids and hubby loved it. The price was excellent since so much is included. Steaks were cooked perfectly - but the meat itself could have been a little more tender.

When we first got there the waitress didn't even give my 10 year old son a kid's menu let alone ask if we needed a kid's menu for him. I had to ask here if they even had one after we ordered the appetizer. The waitress didn't even know what flavor soda they had either. The fried eggplant and stuffed shrimp were really good but the butter garlic pasta was severely overloaded with garlic and really no butter taste. The complementary bread they give is super tiny as well. Sister said her sandwich was good and husband had chicken parmigiana which he said was ok. I tried his spaghetti but didn't care for the sauce. After our meal we're we're supposed to get a desert included and my sister had to remind the waitress that we get desserts as well. Prices for meals are close to $20. They have lobster for about $35, shrimp, pastas, ravioli, steak, burgers, sandwiches, multiple appetizers and other various choices for main dishes.

It was perfect for a luncheon after my mother in law's funeral. Private room, we selected 4 choices for the guests. There was a table for them to make a choice and pick a color coded card. Staff was friendly, food was good but not superb. Was very good for what we needed. We brought our own desserts which they were fine with. They put it on a table with plates and cutting knives. My sis in law and I cut and served which was fine as there were about 40 of us.

We came here for a funeral luncheon and I guess their basement (which was where the event was supposed to be held) was flooded! What could have been a disaster turned into an impressive display of great customer service and hospitality! The food was excellent as well! I would recommend this place to anyone!

This is another restaurant that we have to go to when we visit Milwaukee. It has a very nice atmosphere with great food. We usually stop in on Friday night for the all you can eat fish fry. It should be illegal to have food this good! There's also a bar if you want a drink to finish up the great meal, or if you want the bar experience on a upscale level. I definitely recommend you to dine here. The prices are a little bit higher than the average, but you get what you pay for!

I cannot say enough of how well Alioto’s managed the luncheon following my mom’s funeral service. The sit down meal of 3 choices for guests to choose from were delicious and served swiftly and hot, the bartender in the room was very efficient, and my personal conversation with one of the owners was very helpful in setting this up with minimum effort on my part. (We also had my dad’s funeral luncheon here in 2009 with the same level of excellence.) I highly recommend!!

At a lunch banquet, but they should be experienced in handling these. Food was good, warm and ample. Service was slow (maybe a kitchen problem?). Drink service was poor, and going to the bar for a drink order was not a warm or pleasant experience.

Looking for a Friday fish fry and found Alioto’s. Looked at the menu got our order together the google said open for pick-up. I called and was informed that they are closed for the evening. They closed at 8:00pm. Bummer onto the next place.

The service is always a little hit or miss. You might be sat and fed all within 15 minutes or you may be sat and wait 15 minutes just to be greeted by your server. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're on a tight schedule. Food is always good and keeps me coming back.

Still the Best Fish Fry in Town! Alioto's has been a family favorite for their Friday fish fry for decades. Lightly battered, never greasy, high quality and perfectly cooked fish is served family style with crinkle cut fries, tasty cole slaw and the best Italian bread. The regular fish fry is all-you-can-eat; they also offer a two piece version for a couple dollars less. Personally, I suggest going with the smaller meal and saving room for my favorite dessert, Schaum Torte! A very generous serving of strawberries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and the delectable, sweet, crunchy baked meringue shell! No where does Schaum Torte better!

Food was delicious. An extended wait for the Fish fry. I guess that was to be expected. Reservation was for 7, arrived at 7:08pm, seated at our (not so clean) table at 8:15pm.
