The food was good, not really practice to eat out of that metal trail so I wish they serve in regular plates! Margarita was good! Service… yeah wish there is some smile there. She was not rude but also not friendly!

A cute place with delicious food. Our server was lovely. Someone in my party had their burger cooked improperly and our server insisted on getting him another one. Unfortunately, it still wasn’t right the second time. Better, but still not “well done.” My food was delicious and was enough to feed a family of 4.

Recommended by a colleague and couldn't be more pleased! I was a tad skeptical since "Kobe" and "waygu" are thrown around so loosely these days but the meal was a phenomenal way to wrap up my travels in the Granite State! The food was absolutely phenomenal and the server was friendly and attentive the whole way through. If you're traveling in the Manchester area I highly recommend you stop here for a bite (or 3)! PS, their Thai peanut sauce made in house is out of this world!

We had been looking for a rustic type nar setting for a while and happened to try the Rover Road Tavern on a whim. It was perfect. The food was really good although they ha e a limited menu. We both had the chicken sandwich. My wife got the sweet potato fries which come with a maple bourbon dipping sauce which was excellent. Would also recommend the donuts for dessert which were great although a little pricey for 5 egg sized munchkins with the same maple bourbon dipping sauce.

They used to have roasted Brussels sprouts to die for, but for some reason their off the menu. 🍔 burgers are great and the Mac & Cheese.... mmmm. Staff is awesome.

My husband and I went to river road tavern on Saturday. I am a very visual person and I have to say I don't know why this place isn't a 5 star . The manager was walking around the whole time making sure everything was running smoothly . Our server was amazing and fast and kind . The place is nice an d clean and the food is good It's been a long time since I've seen such excellent quality of work . Tysm And to the manager I know your feeling of how your doing as a manager comes from your customers so here's to you . You deserve a 10 for doing what you do ! Excellent job !!!

Great bar and restaurant with some delicious food and a relaxed setting. Service was quick and friendly and helpful with any requests. They offer some patio seating which tends to be quieter than indoors. There is a large selection of beers on tap and rotating seasonal offerings, along with a small but tasty menu. While there is no kids menu, they are still kid friendly in the early hours. A great place for lunch or drinks.

Atmosphere is nice, plenty of seating inside and they have a patio too. The beer offering was good and so was the food. The waitress wasn’t bad just not great. If you are in the neighborhood or just looking for a new place it’s definitely worth a try. Moderately busy for a Thursday Night. Definitely could be a great destination with some tweaking to menu and staff.

We picked this place for a spur of the moment dinner and some friends wanted to join us. That made us a group of 7 but even with short notice the River Road Tavern was quick to put 2 tables together for us. Staff were all great and so easy to work with. Love love love the menu and the daily specials! We certainly purchased a variety of foods including the Kobe burger, the crab Rangoon dip, the smoked Applewood bacon with the most amazing maple bourbon dipping sauce and a couple of other great dishes. The only thing we took home was the salad because it arrived with our meals instead of before hand but it was no issue at all. Food was definitely a hit and everyone loved every bite. We are so thankful to the great staff who were so accommodating. This place has a super cool vibe with chill staff and a relaxing atmosphere. Most certainly worth a visit!!

Best sauce with fries! And the Rubin sandwich is my favorite! Steak tips were cooked perfect. We love this place! New review...they discontinued the Reunion. And the muscles have garlic. This leaves me with nothing o will go there for anymore. Too bad. It was our FAVORITE!!. LOOKING NOW FOR A SUBSTITUTION FOR THIS TYPE OF VENUE.

Tonight we had an incredible experience. We've been here plenty of times but first visit since they've expanded the menu and visiting during a peak time on Saturday night. We had to wait, expected, and the food took a bit longer, also expected. But the attention from the wait staff was beyond compare. Chris sent above and beyond to give honest recommendations about dishes and about the unexpectedly longer wait time for our main course. He did not need to apologize, the drinks were great and the apps & soup were AMAZING! We were there with our girls (10 and 4 years old) and they even complimented him since they saw him busting his butt the whole time we were there. When the main course arrived, it was well worth the wait... even our 4 year old devoured her spaghetti! Highly recommend visiting the River Road Tavern anytime, and try the new menu. The original menu never disappoints and this one does not either. Thank you Chris and all the staff at RRT!

We live locally & always planned to stop; finally did so 10 days ago & learned what we’d been missing! We only dine outside due to Covid concerns and found they had outside dining on a beautiful Saturday. From the gal answering the phone to our very pleasant Server “ Amanda”… all staff was personable & intent on doing his/her job well. My husband said the Portobello Mushroom Burger was the “best ever” and my burger was also very good & the thin, crispy fries also the “best ever” (sweet potato ones optional:) The side of Butternut squash with honey & walnuts was delish ! Outside had seating for 4 at 6 tables, inside was busy and “ a happy place”. We’ll be back & highly recommend this local establishment!

A tavern at its finest. Staff is young, lively and engaging. The food that I've taste is awesome! To top it all of they have a great selection of rotating beers on draft and in bottles. Also I very nice outdoor seating area.

Nice pub for menu and a great beer selection. Seating is a bit limited so there could be a wait on the weekend. Staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. We had a good time and would go back. The burgers were delicious and definitely check out the specials board.

This place is a hidden gem. It is a little small and always busy but worth the wait. They have a public menu which includes a portion of bacon and a cup for one of the appetizers. It is pretty great. You go in and seat yourself and then order your food. The servers have always been nice nice and attentive. The food is very good.

For such a small restaurant it has several items for vegetarians on there and many items sounded very good. My veggie burger was delicious and the sweet potato fries were good as well and came with maple syrup for dipping. Yum Service was pleasant, organized, and reasonably quick.

The French fries were amazing! The menu is limited but what we ordered was delicious. The seasonal drink menu had a few really creative cocktails. I enjoyed the flannel season drink. Again, amazing. Plenty of parking and a lively atmosphere. A fun place to go and have some appetizers and drinks with your friends.

Used to be great - went there on June 25 and the kobe burgers they seemed to be an inferior brand of meat than what they once were. Fries were still good. I may give them another chance someday, but it will take a while.

My boyfriend and I went here last Friday and we LOVED everything! Our server, Chris, was excellent. He was very friendly and accommodating. And the food was hot and tasty. The menu is smaller, but they have something for everyone! And I would take quality over quantity any day. And beer selection was amazing! We can’t wait to go back! 😊

Though good and simple, I think they could have a bit more on the menu. I think for the simplicity of the menu, the food could be executed a bit better, especially for the prices you pay. To be honest, the food tray idea is great, but I don't like feeling like I am eating out of trough or an AC condenser drip pan. Portions are excellent, service is excellent. That's why you get four stars.

While they are primarily a bar, they also have excellent take out, I especially enjoy the sauce they give you to dip their shoestring fries into. One of my favorite take out places. Their wings are truly great, they are always perfectly cooked and sauced. If I had one concern it is the small menu makes means there isn't much variety, and we only go occasionally since we tend to get the same thing.

Solid four stars plus. It’s weird that Yelp reviews on this place aren’t very positive. Menu is limited but what they have, they do very well. Always great service, bartender does a great job on cocktails. My go to before my sons lax at camp Allen. I will continue to come back. The mussels are very good and they make a mean burger. The burger is one of the best around.

I have been to River Road Tavern twice now and I absolutely love this restaurant/tavern. It is small and quaint with a modest drink menu- some signature cocktails and a draft beer selection sourced from local breweries. The menu is the perfect size and has a food options for different dietary preferences. There isn't an overwhelming amount of choices (which I love) and a small menu usually means everything is made fresh. It is tough to find restaurants in southern NH that prepare fresh never frozen foods- this place does it right. Taste one dish and you know it's made fresh, to order. You will not be disappointed if you like a laid back, casual, pub-style, dining experience.

I love River Road Tavern. It’s a small menu, but it works for them. Everything’s good. I like that it’s a convenient location and that the outdoor seating is still cute and feels tucked away. I’ve only been a handful of times but would go more if it was closer to me.

I have only been here twice so take that as you will. The food both times was not memorable and boring. But the service was decent and they offered two non-alcoholic beers that neither myself or the people I was with had heard of. The one that we orders was local and was quite good. The decor is somewhat shabby and does not match the outside of the building. Very accurately 3 stars.

Really good hamburger, the special sauce was unique. Perfect place to grab a beer and burger with friends. I went during the workday so had to skip the beers but I took a look at the selection and was very impressed with the variety of good choices. The layout and decor of the place is fun and comfortable at the same time. The outdoor space also seemed nice without being too big. Very small menu but everything sounded good and there were some fun and unique items. I will definitely be going back so I can try more stuff on the menu and give some of their beer selection a try. I forgot to ask if they do flights. Watchout for the porcupine!

We love it here! It's less than a mile from our apartment. Before the pandemic - we were going once every week/other week. So friendly, so accommodating - small place but when it's busy they do a great job of moving fast. We've been ordering takeout since the pandemic began, and they are wonderful! Even during such busy times now that they're back open, they're so kind on the phone when you call for takeout. Best local place in Bedford!

Came in around 9:30-10:00pm looking for a bite to eat on a Wednesday night. Was greeted quickly and offered a seat at the bar. Shannon, the bartender at the time, offered a menu to me. She had a full bar, dutifully checking IDs, etc.,b still got to taking my order when I was ready. I got a crispy chicken sandwich - with all the fixings and fries. Food came out quick. It was plated in this odd steel box, but it didn't detract from the meal. Food was good! I didn't have anything to drink besides water as I had a long drive home, but the beer and liquor selection looked fairly extensive from where I was seated. Great place to stop by for a quick late night meal.

Great diverse beer selection, draft menu is changing often. Service is always good. They have some great food and the cinnamon sugar donuts with maple bourbon dipping sauce tastes like french toast! Goes amazing with a stout or cider. One of my favorite places.

I love this place. I always get the same thing: Steak tips. They are cooked in a pan so all the juices stay in. The salads are also very good. I like the atmosphere too. If you go to late for dinner on a busy night it's going to be hard to find a seat!

The food was pretty good. I ordered the pastrami sandwich, while colleagues ordered chicken wings and Kobe burgers. My sandwich was delicious and the shoe string fries were crispy and hot. The price was not bad either. Good selection of beer on tab. Really loud during rush hour. Service does become little slow when it get crowded, so be patient.

Local favorite! The menu is short but everything is delicious, and constantly changing specials keep things interesting. The beer list, on the other hand, is both extensive and well-curated. Great service and a nice outdoor patio (which welcomes dogs!).

Nice beer selection, good food and good service. I particularly like the dry rub wings. This place tends to be a little noisy (maybe it's the acoustics of the room, or the fact that it's always bustling). We like to sit at the bar, which stretches the length of the room and provides plenty of space for food and drinks. A great place for a casual meal or a drink with friends.

Excellent Kobe burgers, a good beer selection, friendly staff. The menu is kept small and simple, and has been trimmed down so there are only good options available. A daily special keeps food interesting, even if you visit regularly. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and in the winter being able to eat around the fireplace is a nice touch.

Servers and bartenders are all very professional and attentive to customer needs. The cooks provide the tastiest appetizers and main meals. The beer selection is unbelievable. Outside patio is very lovely in the spring and summer time, I believe it is dog and cat friendly. I love this place! All classes of people and a happy vibe. The food is great: try the death punch wings if you’re man enough; the burgers are creative and are the best I’ve ever had at a base level; cheetos on the Mac & cheese is just genius. Endless choices of beers and the ‘100 beer’ plaques that line the walls clearly demonstrate a dedicated clientele. Best bar for 50 miles easy. Staff are awesome.

While the lack of Ranch dressing frustrates me and I do wish they'd expand on their menu, I love the offerings they do have and the atmosphere of this place. It's a common go-to for my fiance, our friends and I. Steak tips are very good and the Poutine is amazing (but heavy for a night out drinking). Definitely worth a stop; just be prepared as it's a very popular place for locals and there's often a bit if a wait.

Amazing! I was going here at first just because of the beer list. At first glance the menu looked small so I didn't really think of it as a food place. One day my wife was starving and we were close by so we went and got a bite to eat. We absolutely loved our food and have been working our way through the menu ever since. Love the staff. Was hoping to try the 603 toasted pumpkin, but was still a wonderful afternoon on the patio. Server was attentive and wonderful. Only less than favorable part was the insects, but not RRT's fault.

Standard pub fare, with apps, burgers, sandwiches, and tips. Big specials board as you walk in. Plenty of different beers and wines available. I have zero complaints about the food, drinks, prices or service. The atmosphere is decent and not too loud. Seat yourself. Normally I'd give it four stars. BUT...the chairs! Who picked aluminum pub stools and pub-height chairs for the entire restaurant?? I'm a big guy, 6'+, my butt and thighs were numb after 20 minutes. I could not get comfortable, and the rungs on the stools were too low to rest my feet. I saw short ladies with one foot wedged on the front rung and their other foot behind the first, so I wasn't the only one. Please consider getting some standard tables and chairs for those that do not like and are not comfortable on pub furniture.

They have lots of beer, which doesn't impact my opinion, but if you like selection it's probably a decent place to try. The service was decent, food was something I wish I chose to do without, the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. The person who brought me likes it because you can sit outside. It was raining, I missed the main value of the place. Why 4 stars? I just don't like giving bad ratings. It's variety in an area that can use it, I hope they're successful.

Great food, good drinks, nice service, and friendly atmosphere. I came here for a quick bite into the evening and a waiter bussed my table and had me seated within 5 minutes. From being seated, having my waitress put in my order (I pretty much knew what I wanted), and having the food and drinks come out, it took 10 to 15 minutes with all the tables filled. The atmosphere is great. There's two TV's above the bar and one huge projection screen above the pit area. It's pretty loud in here on Saturday night so don't expect a quiet night out. With that being said, I would definitely recommend it here to anyone passing through or locals.

Good atmosphere. Really interesting decor. Not a huge drat list. but they have many beers in bottle and cans. Chicken wings are good. Death punch sauce is a must try. Good heat and flavour. Tried the poutine... It was just okay. If you are expecting what they have up north this is not it. They use matchstick fries so you don't get much gravy per fry. The gravy is not the traditional dark brown that is a little salty. It is a planned and yellow-ish. Not enough cheese curds.

They should consider replacing a few seating spots with standard height table and chairs. I'm disabled and the high top chairs are not comfortable and for others not appropriate.

There's a limited menu, which is okay for a tavern I suppose. The kobe burgers were okay; there wasn't much flavor so I had to spoil it with ketchup. I've had better burgers and none were kobe, honestly it's just another burger. The fries were good, hot, and stayed crispy. There's a solid beer list. As noted by other reviewers, the seating isn't very comfy. My wife felt the same on all counts.

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars, but talked myself into 4. Positives: The food was really good. My Thai curry mussels were even better than I thought they'd be (you can also get them beer steamed instead). The kids' kobe burger and crispy chicken sandwich were similarly above par. All three dishes came with Thai peanut sauce on the side, which is odd for a mostly straight American cuisine sort of place. But there was also catsup. Nice beer and wine selections. The interior is casual-quirky. Negatives: The menu is small, and little attention is paid to allergies/sensitivities/special diets. The menu states that the fries are in peanut oil. Vegetarian pretty much means salad and gluten-free is not noted.

4 stars doesn't mean this is an average place. This place is FANTASTIC. I love it for what it is, and what it isn't. It's a no-frills bar, with good tavern food (burgers, fries, chicken wings - extra good, etc.) Staff is friendly, real, always up to chat, and service is quick. Food is reasonably priced, although I would suggest staying away from some of the appetizers, and the wine menu is just ok (if you are into that). Their beer selection is massive, with somewhere between 50~100 beers available by tap or bottle. Usually 10+ beers on tap, that change every other week. The beer quest is a MUST if you live locally. My biggest complaint is that there is no ambient music, and that the sound tends to pool up into the upper sections of the room, which leads to difficulty hearing people next to you, especially if it's happening with the Red Sox game playing in the background. Best days are weekdays, after work. Saturdays are oddly quiet. But expect to wait if it's 6 pm on a Wednesday, the place is usually filled to the brim.

First time here. I was working in the area and just looking for a quick lunch. I read the reviews and to be honest, some of them almost made me try somewhere else. That would have been a huge mistake. What a great pub this is! The kitchen is actually behind the bar and you get to watch food cooking along side the bartenders while they serve. They all converse and talk about what they are making or what unique craft brew on tap might be worth trying (yes, they offered me tasters when I was interested in more than one). I had the "Super Bad wings" because I am a total wing and beer man. I opted for the Moscato Stupid-Q wings which is a combination of their mid-heat Stupid wings and their BBQ wings. Wow. This would be perfect for real wing lovers but probably too hot for those who think hot wings come from Hooters. This is the real deal. A superb choice for wingmen who like some good heat with a solid flavor. Wing portions were 9 pieces but HUGE! This $9 appetizer will do you right. No skimpy wing selections here. I saw some killer burgers being made, but I honestly had no room left in me. Very cool place, cool staff, very cool food! They even plate it all very funky on metal trays and bowls. (Did I mention cool?) I will be back!

We expected it to be open until 1am like their website says but since it was a "slow night" they closed at 11pm. When I say slow night they still had at least 6 tables full of people and a couple other people at the bar so we were very disappointed at that. But otherwise it was okay.

Eclectic bar space, but their food left much to be desired. Garden salad was smoke and mirrors: a brown paper bag folded in the center and then lumped into a tin bowl. There was more paper than salad greens. Bartender said steak tips were cooked between rare and medium well; they arrived mostly rare. No consistency or brown beer. Disappointed to say the least.

I really do like this place and I've been several times but the other night wasn't my best experience. Food and drink were both great no doubt but the service was on the weak side and it took a little while to get our server back at our table to put in a drink order. Drinks: I'm all about a good beer but after working at a pub myself for a few years I'm frustrated that abv is not listed on any of the tap or bottle menus. Of course I could have asked but if I'm being served a high abv beer I expect a smaller portion as is normal at most bars. I unknowingly had a 8.5% beer served in a normal pint glass. And then had two...Which might be okay for some, but as a small person it took me by surprise. It's awesome that they have a great selection of beers but they need to be served in proper glasses in order to avoid mishaps like my own. Luckily I didn't have to drive but if I did I might of been in trouble

The average price in Manchester is $7.00.Even NYC Avg price is $12.00 and Bedford is no NYC. The french fries were cold and greasy. This place is a rip off- if you want a pleasant bar experience go to Billy's Sports Bar where the drinks are reasonable and the food is good. If you want a real appetite buster at River Road Tavern just look at the cold air return with all its crud on the wall opposite the fireplace.
