We went to celebrate our anniversary on a Friday night. Everything was perfect. We were seated right away. Our server, Brian was attentive and personable. They even brought us out two glasses of champagne. It is one of our favorite places to go. The food was delicious, the drinks were delicious, the service was excellent. Thank you

Always an amazing experience at Cotton. It has been consistently delicious for years. The mashed potatoes are a staple with just about every meal with a wide range of sauces accompanying the dishes. Drinks were delicious as always and the apps were a highlight as well. Reservations full up fast, so make sure you plan ahead!

My wife and I tried out Cotton for the first time for our anniversary. We were greeted and congratulated by the hostess who seated us in a cozy corner of the banquette. The restaurant was full as expected for a Friday night but did not feel crowded and was not overly loud. Our server was polite and attentive without being hovering. We started with drinks and bread followed by the Asian Pot Stickers for an appetizer. We each had a salad, one Caesar and one Simple Green salad. For dinner we tried the Bistro Steak and the Meatloaf. Dessert was the Lemon Creme Cake. Everything was delicious and the pace of the meal was perfect. Nothing was rushed and neither did we wait too long. The prices are on par with what one would expect from this type of restaurant. There is a small free parking lot which fills quickly and ample space in a paid public parking lot that is adjacent. It is conveniently located off the highway and walking distance from everyplace downtown. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we would highly recommend anyone try it.

We walked in not realizing we needed reservations on a Saturday night. They were very accommodating and sat us rite away. The food was excellent and the drinks were tasty. Recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some traditional food choices in the Manchester area.

Overall, I rate Cotton very highly. There was a glitch in the kitchen that meant my meal was not ready when everyone else's was. I had to wait at least 10+ minutes while everyone else began eating. I'm also the slowest eater in our group, which made it even worse. But the wait staff were super apologetic, and when my food came it was excellent. All 8 people in our group really enjoyed their food, and our waitress was very personable and did her best to make us comfortable and kept checking to see if we needed anything. She even stood and chatted with us about different things; very friendly! I would look forward to going back to Cotton in the future.

Had an excellent dinner with my wife and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a nicer place to eat. Food was outstanding! We had the Sweet and Spicy Popcorn Shrimp, Cotton's Bistro Steak & New England Lobster Scallop Ravioli.

Went to Cotton on a whim Friday night. I wasn’t sure there was a a really great food in Manchester so I didn’t have high expectations but they absolutely crushed it. Drinks were really solid but the chai whiskey surprised me with how great it was. This is a standout cocktail an absolute must do as it really tastes like fall. Choose the goat cheese as an opener and it is really flavorful calzone type taste. I’d recommend it for 2-4 as it’s a generous portion. The butternut squash ravioli was as great as any I’ve ever tasted and the scallop casserole just hit the spot. Service was really great even though it was very busy. In this time where good service isn’t a given Cotton delivered. We were there around closing time and weren’t rushed at all. It felt like they had a seamless transition as the night headed towards closing. It’s busy but not loud enough to bother conversation. This would make for a very good first date or any time you’re just trying to spend quality time over amazing food. Parking is a dream. The prices are exceptionally reasonable and the food is awesome. This should make your list in Manchester.

We had a nice evening dining at Cotton, and were glad we made a reservation earlier in the day, as the restaurant filled up on a Tuesday evening. We opted for dining inside rather than out, and were quickly seated. Our waiter was engaging and efficient. Very nice ambiance, as there are several interesting photos and posters paying homage to classic movies and their stars. We started with salads - I had a wonderful blue wedge and my wife opted for the special greens salad. Our waiter Josh recommended a nice Chardonnay.

Cotton has consistently great food that is always served hot. The cocktails are great! Pistachio Martinis outstanding! The Wait Staff is professional, friendly and efficient. Atmosphere convivial. Jeff runs a wonderful restaurant! Looking forward to dining outside on the patio in the Spring!

The location of this restaurant is central to everything. It’s right next to the river and has a great view of the city. The parking lot is huge. We were seated quickly and very soon after this place filled up with a wait list! It was worth it! The wait staff were all professionals. Ours was a sweet girl with a charming Brogue. She made some great recommendations. A special on the menu was this Turkey schnitzel with cheese and applesauce, curried sweet potatoes, and buttered green beans. It was magnificent! So many flavors!

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Excellent drinks (pretty good Old Fashion and excellent Pistachio Martini). We had a variety of items and all were spot on. The meatloaf was terrific as was the 2 ravioli's - goat cheese and Lobster Scallop. Our server was top notch as well and I'm sorry I did not get her name.

Awesome staff - thank you Ashley for making our dining experience wonderful. Baked Vermont goat cheese and the calamari great starters. Don’t skip the specials menu. So many wonderful choices. Pork schnitzel- Yum. And the classic meatloaf with port Demi glaze. Beautiful wine list. Sit enjoy and feast.

I have been stopping in to this wonderful place for over 15 years and I absolutely love it. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly professional and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I especially love the meatloaf and my new favorite the jambalaya! Drinks were delicious! Had a dirty martini - it was crazy good, and espresso martini was just okay. Buffalo chicken bites are tasty and easy to eat! I had a special (pear and goat cheese salad with salmon) and hubby had Jambalaya, which he loved. Enjoyed our dinner, atmosphere and service.

Always good food, cocktails and atmosphere. Easy parking at night. Tonight the Baked Vermont Goat cheese starter was good. The Turkey schnitzel was good. The Steak William had one of the worst cuts of meat from any restaurant in years.

Food was excellent and service was top notch. We prefer booth locations, so got a nice private one just inside the bar area. The Lamb steak was superb (and I dont really like Lamb, but the steak changed my mind).

If you like big portions with big flavor, this place is for you! Drink selections with a special focus of Martinis are sure to please anyone. We tried the popcorn shrimp, baked goat cheese and calamari as appetizers. All were very good but calamari was not as crispy and a little on the greasy side. At the table orders included the Delmonico steak which was cooked perfectly, Jambalaya, very flavorful, buttermilk chicken was huge and salmon with gnocchi cooked perfect but sauce was a bit heavy. Waitress was friendly but service was slow that we cancelled additional drink orders. All in all, we would definitely be back!

The food and drinks were very good although a bit expensive. It's a bit loud and the service was lackluster. Mostly our server came when necessary. The server for the table next to us was much more attentive so maybe it was just who we had serving us.

Cotton was an awesome anniversary experience for us! I heard about this place last year, but have been crazy busy with work and a new baby boy. My wife and I visited tonight for our anniversary and were very pleased. Our waitress Tori was extremely friendly, prompt and courteous. We had a couple drinks to begin then Vermont creamery baked goat cheese with marinara fresh-baked ciabatta bread. We also tried the Tuna tataki appetizer. Both were excellent!! My wife had the New Hampshire lobster and scallop ravioli. I had the buttermilk herb fried chicken breast. Because of our personal contests and ratings- I won the meal. Fried chicken was awesome. Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The ravioli was very tasty. But get the fried chicken. Or delmonico steak. Or homemade meatloaf. Or sea scallops. Or pistachio crusted salmon. Or lamb steak. Just. Go. Try. Something. It's awesome. We will be be returning for sure, hopefully much sooner than our next anniversary. Thanks again!

Great little restaurant tucked away in Manchester. This was our second visit and well worth the drive. Great drinks, food, service and atmosphere. I like low key and good for my birthday dinner with friends. Our server was attentive and gave perfect service, not on top of us but didn't forget us either. Drinks came in a decent amount of time and the recommendations where helpful too. Food came out in good time, as ordered and at the right temperature. Everyone really enjoyed every aspect of the experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great sangria, clean restaurant, decent food but nothing amazing, and the service was soooooooooo slow. We were there for over 2 hrs but only because the waiter never was around. I'll come back for a drink maybe but save your time and go elsewhere for dinner.

Read reviews and staying in Manchester one night. Did not have reservations but able to get in on Friday night at the bar. The experience was great and the food was exceptional ( I would give 5+ if I could). We had the New England Sea Scallops that had a savory sauce combined with all the other ingredients that made it absolutely delicious. The bread pudding dessert was also out of this world. Some of the best food I have had, and we come south LA where the food is seasoned and world renowned. Hubby had a old fashioned (which he raved about) and I had wine. The bartender put out martinis faster than I have ever seen. And we got recommendations on sights to see in the area from the owner (helping to tend the bar that night) and our bartender-Dwayne. Also the chef is the owner as well!! I would come back to this place in a heart beat.

First time eating at Cotton, and we wish we started going there years ago. Too many delicious looking items on the menu, its hard to pick just one to order. The jambalaya was excellent. The farmhouse salad with pan-seared scallops was excellent. The toasted coconut cocktail was a bit sweet for me, but my wife loved the martini flight cocktail. The crab cakes appetizer is wonderful. And the price is reasonable, on top of it all, along with the wonderful service we had. We'll be back!

Awesome Night At Cotton Celebrated our Anniversary with Freud Chicken and Butternut Squash Raviolis. Service by Brian was Top Shelf. Food was Amazing; fresh, hot, and flavorful! Excellent food and lovely waitstaff, it's good place to have celebrations of birthdays or holidays. Their drinks are strong, but don't have a huge draft selection. Portions are reasonably sized as well, you can often make two meals out of them. Love coming here!

One of our favorite places for dinner. We don't come often, maybe twice a year. We save this place as the restaurant we come to when we want a special night out. The food is creative, casual, and the atmosphere is eclectic. Don't tell anyone that this is our favorite otherwise we will never get in again!

Only reason why I rated it a 4 is because I set up a reservation and in the request I put back table or one with a view it's my anniversary and I'm kidless... I got a booth where I faced the wall and had the bar right next to me. I wanted a special evening my cotton anniversary spent at cotton.... However food out of this world amazing!

I have to be honest, I love this place, the food is delicious, drinks are great, but Tuesday night's bartender was awful. He was busy, and I get that. It's simply the fact that he never smiled, never said "you're welcome" after I went out of my way to be overly nice and thank him for everything. I knew he was slinging drinks like crazy, I'm not upset with that. The part that got me the most, was when I went to order my 3rd martini and he looked at me like he didn't know what I was asking for. I could see the attitude on his face. I wasn't drunk, I wasn't loud, I was with my mother. I repeated myself and said "lemon drop martini please". He proceeded to inform me that there's a 3 martini limit with more attitude. I'm well aware, that rule applies basically everywhere in Manchester. A better time to say that to me would have been if I attempted to order a 4th martini, this way you avoid the potential to even have to mention it at all. I waited a few days before posting this to see if it would continue to bother me. I'm still a little disappointed at the visit. Food was excellent, the drinks he made were also excellent.

Nice selection of wines by the glass, cocktails made well. Prices are great especially given the huge portions. Hint: share apps &/or salads Wish the seating was a little less open and crowded. A little noisy but not terrible.

Went there for my special 70th birthday, on an early Friday evening two years ago in August 2020. Warm, starry sky night. Delicious appetizers & meals with close family members. There were 5 of us. Enjoyed the attention from our server. Everything was a 5 star. Going again this Wednesday night December 6th, 2022 with added on family members. I am positive all will be delightful and good. Love the ambience. Highly recommend Cotton restaurant. There will be 4 of us this time. Two male friends that will experience Cotton restaurant for the first time. .

Went here for mother's Day. It's been a while since I've been to the restaurant. I know they aren't normally open on Sundays. We were just a little disappointed they weren't offering more of a brunch menu, more of their heavy dinner options and we had noon reservations. We really didn't feel like eating mashed potatoes and fried chicken at that time but the food we ordered was excellent. I ended up with just the salmon and salad, someone else got the lobster ravioli and parents got the turkey schnitzel. Everything was very good, the service was quick so all in all it was a good mother's Day.

Me and my fiancée have been to cotton twice. We’ve been lucky enough to have Louise (who is super sweet and accommodating) as our server both times. The food, drinks and service have been perfect. Easily the best meal we have both had. Officially our go to for a nice night out.

Honestly I’m sad to give this place 3 stars. I know that by doing so, nobody will read this review and write it off as being written by a “hater”. There are so many of those thoughtless and uneducated reviews out there that we all laugh at then disregard. If you want to know why, please indulge me to read on. I have eaten here twice myself on business travel, sitting at the bar, and both were outstanding experiences. So I thought I could bring my wife here. Caution, she’s a picky eater. But I felt this place would accommodate her tastes and we’d have the same great experience I’ve always had. Big mistake. DO NOT come here unless you will order and eat precisely the dishes on the menu. She requested a very simple substitution of mashed potatoes for the polenta on a pork chop. She will not eat mushrooms or polenta, period. The restaurant served mashed potatoes with many other dishes so we know they had them and it would be a simple thing to do. We asked the server and we’re summarily dismissed. Really? So I called on my cell, spoke to the floor manager and received the same response, but at least she explained why. The owner / head line cook feels his food pairings are perfect and cannot be changed under any circumstances. The staff isn’t really at fault here, it’s the head line cook’s direction. I use the term line cook because a true executive chef knows that not all people are the same and is skilled enough to adapt. We ate at French Laundry in Napa once and they were so accommodating… whatever you needed they’d try to do. As will just about any other fine dining restaurant. But not Cotton. Don’t even ask. Their head line cook knows better than you do and if you don’t believe it just ask and he will tell you. And his staff doesn’t dare to cross him. You can see that in how they act. A hostile workplace for sure. BTW, my meal was excellent as was the backup choice my wife settled for. I was happy for my meal but I’d hyped this place to my wife and Cotton embarrassed me. That I can’t overlook. After I went over the server’s head to the floor manager, we never saw the server again till it was time to sell us dessert (refused obviously) then settle the check. Cotton could have upsold us to the more expensive dinner for my wife (fail), a bottle of wine (fail, never saw the server again), then dessert and after dinner drinks (fail). For the same 2 top seating, Cotton could have collected an additional $100 in Sales, half of which would have been a high margin bottle of wine. Since I was unhappy why not point out other issues I’d normally overlook. The cloth napkins are yellow and linty. My wife who had to settle for a second menu choice ended up with yellow lint all over her pants. Places that know what they’re doing use black or lint free napkins. She was self conscious about the lint the rest of the evening. Thanks, Cotton, because who do you think had to hear about that the rest of the evening. And the wait staff/ management could have handled the situation many better ways than “too bad, this is what we do”. Even that would have gone a long way to preserve a nice experience us. But in a hostile workplace, employees don’t cut the leadership any slack. And they shouldn’t. This is clearly a leadership/ ownership problem, not the employees. Anyone can see that. So, Mr. line cook/owner, is your draconian policy and hostile workplace good business? You answer, not me, because none of us is as smart as you. I did love your place till you embarrassed me. And you get only one chance to do that.

First and foremost, Jade is the best waitress. She has helped us multiple times. Cotton is lucky to have such an amazing staff!!! The food is impressive and reasonably priced! The drink selection is award winning but then again, so is the food! Highly recomend Cotton as the ideal date spot!

A small group of us had dinner here while visiting for Manchester Pride. The experience was wonderful, our waitperson was wonderful, the food was delicious and the drink was delicious. Next time I’m in Manchester, I’ll be sure to be back.

The food was good, portions we large and although I expected the prices to be high, they were VERY reasonable. We started with the crabcakes which had fantastic flavor. I had the jambalya which was a bit salty but it was loaded with ham, sausage, chicken and shrimp so no complaints. We also had the country fried chicken which was very good. I doubt I would make a trip to go back, there wasn't anything wrong but the energy of the place was lackluster in my opinion which is why only 4 stars.

Delicious food and very strong drinks. Fries were excellent! I got the grilled chicken and that was so good, it melted in my mouth. My boyfriend got the grilled Delnonico steak. We started with the house made buffalo chicken nuggets, it was so so good. The Asian pot stickers and pan seared scallops were also very good too! Both of us had also shared a butternut squash ravioli, very filling! I had a cotton flirtini and a spiced pear nectar and my boyfriend just had himself two margaritas. Overall, it was a very cool spot, and I will definitely be back here with my family.

Attractive decor, done out with mill beams, brick and retro movie posters. We sat at the the bar which is ideal for couples and will bring us back. Plenty of seating, atmospheric, subdued lighting and most importantly... excellent cocktails/martinis. The menu is american...good selection of entrees featuring all the favorite proteins. Salads look great. Our bartender was friendly and efficient. Provided some recommendations and ran through the specials. My wife had a cosmo martini, I had a vodka martini. Very well made. We had the crab cakes and asian potstickers to start. Potstickers had a well seasoned minced pork filling with a soy/sake sauce. The crab cakes were full of flavor with plenty of crab meat. For entree we both gravitated to the Farmhouse Salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the salads fresh and full of the promised ingredients - bacon, cheddar cheese curds...a buttermilk dressing went well with the salad. No complaints at Cotten. Our very pleasent bartender/server had only been working there three weeks, however she knew her way around the bar and menu like an old pro. One tip. Start a loyalty program for locals...similar to Foundry and Fratellos. You could call it the Cotton Club!

Cozy atmosphere and great location that is close to Elm St/Downtown but far enough away to have plenty of parking. The goat cheese and the Buffalo chicken starters were delicious and the turkey schnitzel entree was equally as good. Drinks were also tasty and strong. No masks on anyone. I thought we were still in a pandemic. Service was slow but super friendly. Appetizers were good. Dinner was okay but I question if the scallops were really scallops. I have eaten them my entire life and these were lacking the ocean taste and extremely chewy, so much so that I almost choked on one. I didn't drink alcohol, but my companions seemed to like their cocktails. Kudos to the servers for trying to keep up, but a 5 p.m. dinner shouldn't last until 8 p.m. unless you want that.

Have visited here many times prior to this past year. It was perfect for finally going out with restrictions still in place, along with their own safe guards in place. Excellent meals as before, and greetings from owners and wait staff. As a reminder they still have a seating time length at this time, so ask prior to making reservations. I felt it was appropriate @ 1 1/2 hours for party of 3. 2 hour seating for party of 4-6. Seating is well spaced along with outdoor patio depending on weather. Thank you all @ Cotton for bringing us back toward normal as possible dining.

I've had the Old Fashioned in many restaurants, across many states, and in different countries, but Cotton makes the best. The service is bona fide. I've seen the same people working here over the years, and you can tell they genuinely enjoy providing you with their fine cuisine. The hours of operation are very limited, but their menu is indisputably delectable. Just like Dorsia in the award winning movie, "American Psycho", you're absolutely going to want a reservation here... But walk ins are totally possible.

The tuna tataki was outstanding. We had to order another tuna because we loved it so much! The sweet and spicy popcorn shrimp was so addicting and the presentation of our food was beautiful and playful. We have been enjoying Cotton for 15 years from our first date and will certainly be back again soon. The Cotton is by far my favorite restaurant in the southern NH area. Amazing food every time and even better service from their considerate and fast paced staff. The bartenders have a wealth of knowledge and are able to make a large variety of cocktails. Warm and comfortable environment, very welcoming with very pretty dim mood lighting. I typically opt for the steak dinner which is the best I've had since being in the area. I've never had a bad experience here and make it a point to go at least once a month. I highly recommend you give it a try as you wont be disappointed!

This restaurant is amazing. I've tried a variety of different foods, and they've all been delicious, but my absolute favorite is the almond-crusted Turkey schnitzel. I ate dinner at Cotton in with a group of six people. We got there early, around 5 p.m. on a Sunday so there were only a couple of other diners there. The service was friendly and efficient and the food food's great. I had a lamb steak that was perfectly medium rare as I ordered it and it was very tasty cut of meat. We got a calamari appetizer which was a fairly standard calamari. It was lightly battered and fried and tossed with chili peppers so it was slightly spicy. The calamari was cooked to Perfection, very tender and flavorful. That's where a lot of restaurants fall down on calamari. It can seem like you're chewing on a garden hose if they over cook it. Cotton Cooks it perfectly! Everyone in my party was happy with what they got. Cotton is a very solid quality restaurant.

We recently connected with a sibling that I’d never met only to find that his son, my nephew was traveling for business and his last night in the area. I think they could change a few things like The hash for the scallops entree is not very good and is just a big filler.. the scallops were cooked to perfection and great.. overall the Prices are very good for entrees. My wife and I had a lovely dinner here recently. The star was without a doubt the baked Goat Cheese appetizer. I would come back just for that. Our main courses were good but nothing spectacular. My wife ordered the Delmonico steak and was happy enough with the steak itself, but she didn’t expect the port wine mushroom sauce to be so sweet. The sauce kind of killed it for her. I had the meatloaf which unfortunately also had the port wine sauce. I really liked the meatloaf, but also felt the sauce was too sweet. I would definitely come back, but will just do apps and drinks next time.

First time here. Went for New Year's and enjoyed their "special" set price menu. Appetizer, entree and dessert for one set price. Chicken, pork chop or seafood pasta. Soup, salad and 4 different desserts. Service was great... One of the things I gauge a restaurant by is timing of courses, in this case perfect, nothing was rushed never felt like I had to hurry. Food was delicious... Hot and layers of taste. Dessert was delicious. Ample portions enough to fill me up without having to carry out a doggie bag but unlike some didn't want to eat something an hour later either. 90%, of our New Year snacks were untouched at midnight. Most certainly will return to try regular menu.

Everything we had was fantastic, beginning with the soft sourdough and whipped butter. The portions were generous and the drinks were well made. Our server was prompt, friendly and helpful with recommendations, all without being over bearing. Our table had the baked goat cheese and buffalo chicken appetizers, steak Diane, scallop and jambalaya mains and toffee cheesecake, banana bread pudding and creme brule desserts--all were phenomenal. Our server Stephanie took good care of us. Reservations are limited to an hour and a half, but that was plenty of time without feeling rushed. I would also note that all staff wore masks, and we observed all tables and chairs being sprayed with disinfectant and wiped down between diners. And hand sanitizer was readily available in all areas of the restaurant.

My husband and I came here for the first time today and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish! Our waiter was Josh and he was one of the best servers I’ve ever come across. He was super nice, attentive, and professional. For appetizers we got the baked goat cheese in a homemade tomato sauce with toasted ciabatta bread for dipping and I literally moaned when I took that first bite! Sauce is so flavorful, warm, and creamy from the goat cheese and the fresh basil, and the bread so perfect for dipping (or scooping). We also got the Buffalo chicken nuggets and those are crispy, tender bites of heaven and addicting! Paired with perfect blue cheese. My husband got the Delmonico steak cooked medium and it was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful and cuts like butter. I got the buttermilk fried chicken and the chicken was so soft and the sauce was an herbed gravy that was so perfect, light, and delightful! Paired with soft, buttery mashed potatoes! For dessert we got the chocolate brownie sundae and my lord, it was to die for! A big hot double chocolate brownie, topped with a scoop of amazing vanilla ice cream, Ghirardelli chocolate sauce drizzled, and topped with candied pecans. One of the best meals of my life, if not the best! The music is so tasteful, they played some really nice jazz music and everyone is distanced apart appropriately for Covid-19. We will be coming here again, and again. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!

Lunch yesterday at Cotton was absolutely wonderful; service from our waiter Chris was also really great. Can't wait to go back! Here's the thing: when I arrived just before 11:30 there were only a few people seated at the bar or at tables. A group of 6 to 8 people came in and asked for a table and were told that there were none available as they were booked. This did not go over well as, looking around the restaurant, there were many empty tables. One of the women looked at the hostess and said "we'll just go elsewhere" and they left in a huff. The wildest part was that, within only a few minutes, the restaurant was totally full with people enjoying their food. The reservation for our table was completed via Open Table (the app) which I have used many times to reduce the stress of having to wait for a table at a restaurant with food I love. Additionally, one of the members of our party is a chef who also uses Open Table to reserve tables at times where you wouldn't expect tables to be booked but hey, you nevah know and who likes the stress of having to wait for a table when you're starving? Here's the point: This is a great restaurant with amazing food and service. You should definitely stop in for lunch or dinner. But please, take a few seconds to download the Open Table app (no, I don't work for them) and make a reservation so that when you arrive, you can give your friends a huge hug for joining you and sit down and have an amazing meal. And yes, it was sad to see a party of 6 - 8 to leave angry (especially when seeing so many empty aka - reserved tables); who doesn't love great service? But then think of what happened to them next: 1. They had to decide on and find another restaurant 2. Drive there - and find parking 3. Walk in and hope that seats were available (it would be closer to noon when they arrived) 4. Have a little more stress and frustration - maybe not the same enjoyable meal they would have had if they had scheduled reservations at their first choice restaurant.

Absolutely delicious foods in a beautiful setting. The staff is very polite and I did not have trouble finding a vegetarian choice. We went during the early side of lunch and while the plane never completely filled up, even in a week day it was not empty. The food is not especially quick to arrive, but that is because they are making it from scratch on order. The price holds this restaurant outside of the purely casual dining range, but the experience is right for a special occasion.

My husband and I had dinner at Cotton last night, and it was fantastic! My husband was happy with the beer selection, and both of my martinis were very good. We had the crab cakes appetizer, which was delicious and unique. My husband had the "best steak of his life" and I had the scallops, which were a little spicier than I typically prefer, but excellent nonetheless. I also had the white chocolate raspberry creme brulee, which was tremendous. Our server, Chris, was knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. I could not have been more satisfied with our meal.

I have always loved this place. Incredible value - the best food at a reasonable price. It's in a great location just a bit outside of downtown. I have been going for the past 10 years, but my dining experience last night prompted this review. I made reservations with my wife for our second anniversary via open table. On the special instructions I mentioned that it was our anniversary (which is the "cotton" anniversary) and requested they do something special with the desert, like write happy anniversary or something. It was incredible what they actually did, 1) had the specials printed on a menu that congratulated us on 2 years together, 2) complimentary prosecco, and 3) provided us cotton candy in a martini glass as our desert (which is not on the menu, but a great touch for our anny). It was absolutely incredible. My wife was beside herself, almost like I knew the owner. Can't thank the staff and ownership enough. It was a beautiful evening. Food as always was delicious. Last item to mention - the patio is gorgeous. A beautiful pergola covered with grape and kiwi vines. Highly recommend taking advantage of this feature during the summer months!!

Eh. Cotton was recommended to us by a few people. Unfortunately, i can't say my SO and I will be returning.The service was good and the bread they serve you, is house made. Those are the highlights. My Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly but ruined by a huge tendon taking over the whole middle of the piece. Personally the mashed potatoes are over salted and the broccoli was extremely overdone ( basically mashed). The whole menu has no direction. There's pot stickers then there's schnitzel...not sure what cuisine they are. My skinny margarita was flavorless

This was my husband's and my first experience at Cotton--and it was AMAZING! Our server, "Scooter," could not have been more kind and attentive to us. She helped make the experience special. We had the goat cheese starter, which was absolutely fabulous. I had the turkey schnitzel and my husband had the meatloaf, and both dishes were so delicious that all we could do is moan and roll our eyes. When the food is so good that you can't even speak, wellhow great is THAT? We also shared the dessert special, a toffee crunch cheesecake; truly wonderful! If you have never been to Cotton before, treat yourself! It's a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the food is out of this world and the prices are very reasonable. Honestly, I can't wait to go there again!

A very nice place with outdoor seating. We tried the sample cocktails based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. Excellent cocktails. For entrees, we tried the buttermilk chicken plate. The breading was flavorful and crispy and the chicken was tender - it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the lobster ravioli and it was excellent, each ravioli was stuffed full of lobster meat. In both plates the portions were huge. For dessert, we had the banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. It was also very good - warm, sweet, moist with liquor flavor.

One of my favorite restaurants in Manchester. My favorite dish is the Turkey Schnitzel. Other guests from out of town had steak and Jambalaya. Both looked and smelled very good. I am very much looking forward to my next visit to NH and Cotton.

Would be 5 stars but last night's (Saturday) hostess was less than accommodating. We had made reservations for 5:45 for a table. We always request a table (for 4) so we sit very close as my voice doesn't carry. There were two available yet denied one of them till stated we'd leave and not return. A great place for lunch and dinner. Lunches tend to be reasonably priced and the atmosphere is slightly more low-key than in the evening. The menu is good across the board and rotates frequently. We love eating on the patio during the summer months, the foliage and pergola create an intimate environment for al fresco dining. Do try the gazpacho, you won't be disappointed!

Annual visitor to NH and enjoy dining adventures. Nice place, good food but reservation required for inside dining. The patio area seats immediately, so we took it. Ugh, chilly, no space heater or wind block. Wait staff checked on us occasionally but mostly stayed inside with guests (or warmth?). Seemed like they could have accommodated us inside, but not sure. A bit pricey for a mid level bistro. Otherwise nice restaurant, we'll go back. Unless we forget to make reservations!

Love the fried chicken, which comes with a gravy that is just so good with the mashed potatoes. Dumplings are also recommended. Updated this to a five star review. This is one of the more expensive places that I don't mind coming back to. Had the jambalaya creole recently and it was fantastic. The only downside to Cotton is if you get seated in date alley, a long bench on one side and small tables placed in front of it. It's easier to hear the person next to you than it is to hear the person you came with.

Dinner last night was amazing. The wait staff was very accommodating, attentive, and good humored. The drink menu is very fun, with lots of interesting taste combinations, as well as classic cocktails. I had the Bumbu, and it was very, very good (somewhat sweet, somewhat spicy, makes me think of spiced cookies and iced chai). Dad got a Long Island iced tea, and I had a taste. It was by far the best Long Island Iced Tea I've had in years. The appetizers were also delicious. I especially I liked the creamy herb dip that came with perfectly cooked calamari. My lamb steak was also perfectly cooked, and the sides were delicious. If you like raspberries, the creme brulee is a perfect closer.

I went for lunch one day because I work next door and it's a short walk. Upon entering, I was not really impressed by anything. The music they were playing sounded like it was from the 50s-60s and most of the decor matched. Out of date. Out of style. Not impressive at all, which is a shame because the space inside has so much potential. I sat at the bar, which looks nice. I ordered an appetizer, calamari. It was cooked well enough, but the bottom of the bowl that it was served in was drenched in butter. It somewhat defeated the purpose of breading the calamari because it fell off in pieces from sitting in the butter bath. While I wasn't blown away by this place, I would like to go back and try other items on their menu.

We had a server named Josh. He was so funny and was on point with service. Anytime we might have needed something he was there. There was a blonde lady at the bar that was rude but when I gave it back to her her attitude changed. The last making drinks was amazing. Over all the night was great.

Cotton is a "sure thing" in Manchester dining. The menu has basic staples like the meatloaf and the fried chicken. The Delmonico is excellent. Deserts are well prepared and again - basic. I think this is the best thing about Cotton. One is assured an excellent meal and drink due to the consistently of preparation. The atmosphere is wonderful and the outdoor dining pleasant when weather permits.

Let me start by saying, "This place has Ambiance"! We were sat in a cozy, private table, which was nice, being our Anniversary. This would be our second visit at Cotton. Our drinks were on spot! Our meal was cooked perfectly, except for the added oil in and surrounding the food as well. I'm not sure what Chef was cooking that night, but our meals, as well as our appetizer(Calamari cooked perfectly by the way), was too coated in olive oil. My scallops were amazing, but my sweet potato hash was drenched in olive oil as well as my husbands plate(steak was Perfect). The mash was surrounded by a current of olive oil. Very unnecessary. Trust me I love and cook with Olive Oil, but that Chef has got to cut it down and fast if anyone like us is to return again.

It's a little hard to find in downtown Manchester, but COTTON is well worth it! (Not a lot of "upscale" places to choose from in the area). Unfortunately, we did not eat dinner here (had other plans), but our strong cocktails and hot appetizers were delicious. Bar staff were very friendly & professional. The place was pretty busy for a holiday Monday when the city & waterfront was basically dead. We enjoyed creamy artichoke & seafood bisque, and crushed tomato & goats cheese dip. With crusty bread for dipping, it was the perfect snack for a chilly fall afternoon.

I've only been once for lunch so far. Crab cake sandwhich was good if unremarkable. I would order it again but only if i was in the mood. The "buffalo" chicken is worth it every visit. A mix of buffalo with, what i can only guess, is honey and an asian bbq sauce makes that dish something truly special and unique. Look forward to future visits.

Went for a late dinner last night with my girlfriend Elizabeth and the place instantly landed on my top 5. If you are a fan of seafood, they do calamari right! I ordered the Atlantic Salmon which was cooked to perfection and came over heirloom tomatoes and corn, topped with a cilantro butter. Simply to die for. Elizabeth ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and it was the freshest tasting Ravioli I have ever had. It should also be noted that server Chris is superb in his service skill and I recommend asking for him. All in all, I give this place 5 stars for the presentation, the service, the atmosphere and of course, the tastiness in food. We will be back!

Cotton is a great addition to the Manchester restaurant scene. It's just enough on the outskirts of inner city Manchester, but don't let that fool you, as this place does get busy! I came on a Friday night where there was quite a wait. Luckily, Cotton takes reservations and my party and I were seated right away as we had made a reservation. Cotton's aesthetic has an easiness to it with an upscale feel, which gives it a cool vibe. There are a variety of tables to sit at in the lower section, with high top seating in the upper section with an expansive bar. Cotton advertises itself as an American restaurant, and it surely is fitting, but their menu presents a variety of flavor combinations ranging from Americanized Asian to Italian options.

Cotton is my personal favorite restaurant in Manchester. They have one of the best varieties around, and everything I've ordered here has been fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic and the service is always cheerful and attentive. As for the food, wow. The first time we came to Cotton, I had a strip steak that was a special of the day. Now, I've eaten at both Peter Luger's and Burns Steak House (recently named #1 and #2 in the nation for steakhouses, and rightly so), so I can't truly call this the best steak I've ever had. However, given my personal #1 and #2 experiences, this is a fairly close third. When you consider that it cost half as much, it is truly amazing. The seasoning was such that it perfectly enhanced the flavor of the steak without dominating the mouth. The cook was perfect...a spot-on mid-rare with a beautiful sear giving that wonderful caramelized flavor. I don't remember the sides being anything fantastic (fingerling potatoes and broccolini, I think), but they were quite good and well paired. Some other favorites of mine: -Baked Goat Cheese: This is a wonderful app. The goat cheese is creamy and tart and complemented by a fantastic tomato sauce, which is very fresh tasting with a bit of latent heat. The bread which is served for dipping is surprisingly good as well. -Turkey Schnitzel: So good that I've been trying to replicate it home ever since I first tried it. I've yet to match the wonderful crunch and interesting seasoning that elevates this simple-appearing dish. The bourbon applesauce is a wonderful complement to the pork, but also packs enough flavor to stand on its own. -Butternut Squash Ravioli: I'm a sucker for brown butter-sage sauce, but the addition of cranberries and hazelnuts along with great ravioli (cooked al dente!) makes this a great dish. -Sea Scallops: This is actually my wife's favorite as I don't particularly enjoy scallops. I will say that they are quite good as far as scallops go, but the real reason I add it to the list is the sweet potato chorizo hash that comes as a side. Wow. So good that I could eat dish of this as my meal. I've tried to replicate this with an egg for breakfast, but it's still a work in progress. -Apple Butternut Squash Soup: this was a special, but I'm hoping it comes back around this fall as it's delicious. I personally think my butternut squash soup is the best, but this one has given me some serious doubts. It's different than most, with actual apple pieces and a thinner base than I'm used, but the spices used are brilliant. Seriously, if they have this when you go, you must try a bowl. All in all, the food alone is enough to sell me on Cotton a hundred times over, but the whole package is so great that it makes it. Any restaurant that has me trying (and failing) to emulate one dish, let alone multiples, is a winner in my book. I truly can't believe this place has only 4 stars. My experience has never been anything but a 5.
