This place is great. Some of the best pizza I've had around Louisville. The staff is amazing and the server Patrick is great. The cheese on this pizza is the best I've tried. Me and my girlfriend had became regulars usually go out to eat here every other weekend and we both love it. It's usually not too busy, which I love. I would have gave it a 5 star review, but for some reason, they WON'T put Salami on the pizza, but you can get Salami on a sub sandwich? Little silly to me that Salami isn't an option as a topping on the pizza. Also, wish that they had a fresh basil topping option. Other than that, this place is top teir.

Simply went for a Wed dinner, we moved tables from dirty to dirty as I’ve worked in the restaurant industry before and the bartender said we were “uncouth” but actually we were just starting our night. Be more respectful and pleasant to your customers. Put a wait to seated sign if you’re worried about people sitting.

Za’s is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the city. I have spent years going there through the good times and bad times. The owner and staff are of the highest quality in service industry. A wonderful family restaurant with excellent food!

Cute little joint with friendly staff and great food! Only been here once but I loved it! It had a lot of great things on the walls to stare at. They attract a trendy crowd but it's never too crowd but it's never too packed. They also have pool tables in the back and full bar for those who like to drink. I would recommend the calzone, they are huge and tasty! I'm not sure I would take my daughter here because it's more of a bar scene than anything but I do hear they have outdoor seating in the summer which is really nice.

Excellent pie! I got a 10" pizza, and I could have easily eaten the whole thing, it was so good! Like, I'm taking half of it home to enjoy the rest later! A nice place to hang out at a table out front, if you can manage to get one, and people watch. Or dog watch, because there are tons of dogs being walked in his neighborhood! I love one-of-a-kind places such as this. Highly recommended if you enjoy that kind of pizza. If you don't, go eat at Domino's or something! :-)

Nice quiet little place. Weather was great and the foldup window was open. Made the atmosphere very nice. Thick cheese on the pizza like you see on commercials but not usually in person. It was an enjoyable relaxing meal to share with a friend.

Walked in after 10 and received the best service. Our waitress Shelby even accomated my meatball-sub-without-the-sub request and brought out a bowl of meatballs, even adding spinach like I asked. Didnt actually have pizza but the meatballs and breadsticks were delicious, and yhe breadsticks order is HUGE! Too full stacks of very puffy seasoned breadsticks but we ate half before we took a picture haha

Best pizza in the area and love that there are so many crust and fresh topping options! The atmosphere is great and if it's a nice day they'll open up the front of the restaurant to give it that indoor/outdoor feel. Good beer selection. Sometimes the service is a little slow but we don't mind because sometimes it's just nice to chill out and enjoy a good beer.

My favorite Pizza in Louisville. It must be the exact same Italian recipe I grew up with at the mall in Bowie Maryland. Once my friend in Baltimore made me try some pizza nearby and was said "just like the pizza at the mall in Bowie". This is the third place I've had that same type of pizza...perfect. Although it does take them a long time to make it, the cheese stretches for days. Which means it's some expensive high quality cheese in case you didn't know. Also note on game nights nobody gives up their table so expect an even longer delay.

Not great. The pizza was okay. There were many spices visible in the cheese on the pizza but they didn't add much flavor. The sauce was liquidy and didn't taste like much of anything either. The only redeeming quality of the pizza was the crust. Good crust. Pizza was overpriced for the quality. $13+ for a subpar pizza. The drink list is not cheap. It's $5 for a PBR.

Everyone has their favorite local pizza joint, right? Well, this is mine. Za's has been hitting the nail on the head as my neighborhood pizza restaurant for the past seven years. Whether it's dine in or carry out, they do an amazing job. And I get it- pizza preference varies wildly from person to person, but they are my favorite pie in town. Sure, there have been so misses from time to time - but consistently, I really don't think anyone does it better! Great staff, fast service, reasonable prices, cold beer (when dining rin) and delicious pizza grub. What else could ya need?

This pizza parlor is phenomenal! My girlfriend and I have been visiting this place regularly every weekend for the last year. The waitresses awesome and the food is superb! The staff is super friendly where you get to know all the waitresses by first name basis. When you become a regular, they remember your order and your drinks LOL this is a great little spot to visit when you want to get away from the big crowds and long lines waiting for a seat.

Great pizza and laid back atmosphere. One of the best, if not the best, beer selections in town for a pizza joint. And the prices aren't ridiculous either. Most places with great beer selections like Za's punish you in price for the array of offerings. Za's doesn't. The food is good and the service is great as well. Doesn't have that jam packed feel either. Very small business. I would definitely recommend it.

Great beer selection, fantastic pizza, delightful staff. Easily our favorite pizza spot in Louisville. The only "con" I can think of is parking, for those that aren't familiar with Bardstown Road in the Highlands neighborhood, it's almost exclusively street parking, but a short walk is definitely worth the trip.

Za's is my absolute favorite pizza in Louisville. This place is in a city of tough competition and we had a pie day at work where we brought our favorite spots pizza to see who's was best and even my office mates agree! It's REALLY cheesy and fairly priced for the quality. They often have a coupon in the "entertainment" brand book, too.

This place has been great since opening. Great pizza, great location..what can I say. Jim has maintained consistency the whole time. Hires cool people (I'm looking at you Mike) and has always been great about trying new things (bands playing etc.). Highly recommend this highlands staple.

I always enjoy coming to Za's for lunch. It's quiet and my order comes fast. It's nice to sit by the window and watch the folks walking by. I like all the items on the menu but I enjoy the meatball sub! Lunch at Za's is a must. I bring all my out of town guests here.

Late night goodness!! Me, my girls & my brother (THANK YOU TERRAS!!) came here upon his suggestion. It was my friends Birthday Extravaganza! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY B!!) The other plans had feel thru & we were scrambling to find some place to eat & something to do. Suggestion; ZA's. Wow! Everthing was totally awesome! Our food & service was exceptional. The Za salad was so big the 5 of us all ate from it! The bread sticks & marinara mwah! We ordered hot wings that were spicy but so good we only stopped for out pizzas. And the pizzas! They were huge!There were left overs for sure lol. We wanted to play pool (table in the back) but we arrived to close to closing. All of this for 5 people came to about $25-$28 each. We will patron Za's again! Thanks to our server & hostess!

Not as good as they used to be. The meatball subs I got today had lousy buns. Too soft and soppy. They used to have really good bread for their subs. I don't know what happened this time but my favorite meatball sub just became the worst.
