I'm visiting downtown Louisville and wanted some real breakfast food. Not pastries or powdered eggs. I want real eggs, fresh fruit... Just real food. So I went hunting for some. I struck out on a few places and walked past this place named In Season. It was morning and the door was unlocked. But when I walked in I could see they were prepping for the day and I realized that they were closed. But Daniel, the owner, (super nice guy by the way) was like, "No problem, what do you want?" They have yellow watermelon and are making me an omelet. Hells yes, real food! There aren't many restaurants like this making real food from real product. I have mad respect for what they're doing. You deserve real food. Get it here.

Nice atmosphere, easy to order, helpful, and friendly service. I ordered the roasted root bowl and added chicken; it was delicious. I definitely come back and try other items on the menu. My partner, who was hesitant on going to a healthy restaurant, ordered the brussel bacon Mac bowl, and as you can see, he finished it and enjoyed it!

Absolutely amazing! There were so many delicious options. The selection of fresh roasted vegetables was so impressive, it tasted like my mom’s homemade dinners. Best Brussels sprouts I’ve ever had!!! And the staff was so nice. I will definitely come here again if I’m ever in Louisville!

I don’t know of another quick service restaurant in the country that does farm to table, especially not one located downtown with their own farm located inside metro limits. What a blessing to have this downtown. Food is great! Love it! The last bowl I ate was topped with brie and other high-end ingredients, so these bowls are a great value!

BEST SALADS EVER! Everything is so fresh and delicious and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Super fast service too. Cannot think of a better place to get lunch! Photo: this is the fall salad with watermelon radishes, apples, walnuts, brie, and a fantastic lemon dressing. Highly recommend!

A unique option for a quick lunch in downtown Louisville. Emphasis is on food from local farms that is "in season". Dishes are made to order while you watch along the counter, Qdoba style. Finished product is a work of art!

This place was great. You can order a 'predetermined' bowl or build your own. My husband and I like to go with the tried-and-true, so we both ordered from the 'predetermined' menu. I got an asparagus chicken bowl that also came with cilantro rice and mushrooms, plus shaved carrots and almonds. I don't even like mushrooms, but these were delicious! They were seasoned so well, and the texture wasn't slimy. There was also some great lemony vinaigrette to pour over it. Very yummy. My husband is a less adventuresome eater. He got the taco-style bowl and he actually mostly liked it - aside from the vegetables! :D The restaurant is open, airy, and clean. The changing sign near the door is fun, and the restrooms were clean. I would eat here again.

Amazing food & super friendly staff. This is the freshest lunch I’ve had in a long time. All my favorite ingredients in one bowl. This is the kind of fuel I need everyday in my diet & I can’t wait to go back and try more. PS- they have Carolina reapers as a secret ingredient upon request, that’s one way to easily drink that gallon of water a day :)

This place was delicious! Me and my family are from Georgia and stopped in for lunch on the way to the Louisville slugger museum. We all got bowls and tried one of the brownies. Healthy, filling good food. Nothing bland about it. Would definitely go back!

Super delicious summer menu. I had lemon broccoli chicken bowl and it was fantastic. The flavors went really well together and ingredients were fresh. I was with two other people who had different items and we all agreed it was very tasty.

This place = amazing! Was lucky to catch their soft opening/tasting over Derby weekend. They grow their own produce locally at In Season Farm, very cool. The food itself was fantastic! Americana fare all made from scratch with tons of flavor at a fair price for high-quality ingredients. I'm making this my go-to downtown spot for lunch once they open up for good.

This place was really humming. There was a long line but the staff were really working hard so it was moving quickly. Super fresh ingredients. Healthy. I had the Lemon Broccoli Chicken Bowl and it was GREAT. My group of 4 were all really happy.

I LOVEE this place! Seriously I eat in a few times a week. I work downtown and send people here on the daily but, the one complaint I have is the broccoli. My fav is the lemon chicken bowl but the broccoli is always burnt! I would almost like it better with raw broccoli.

Loved it! Healthy food that's kid-friendly. My (very picky) 4-year-old had the chili and ate all of it (a feat) and kept declaring "this chili is delicious!"

If I could give this place 10 / 10 stars I would!!! Seriously cannot say enough good things. I placed a Corporate catering order (25 people) 24 hours in advance and they pulled through without any errors or mistakes! They were even ahead of original scheduled pick up time. Everyone was raving about how amazing the food tasted and the portion size. I honestly want to go back tomorrow for lunch! Even when we picked up our large order the line was moving fast and we were in and out in minutes! HIGH quality place with HIGH quality food! A+++++

5 even though I think they forgot to give me something with my order but the food was very very delicious. I haven't eaten salad in a very very long time so I thought that this salad was gonna be very plain and like any other I've had in the past but it was surprisingly very very delicious-Bacon Ranch. The price isn't to bad either.👌👌 $11.25 for my salad but I can see why and you will to when you try.

Delicious fresh food but the pricing is excessive and deceptive. Every little thing is extra. Dressing should COME with a salad! Just make the price higher to begin with so there are no surprises. Very annoying.

Wow never in my life have I finished eating and immediately jumped on Google to write a review ! I got the Achiote chicken bowl and it was amazing. So full of many different flavors and so fresh! I wish every meal I ate could taste that good. I didn’t get the cookie that I ordered online but thankfully the meal made up for it. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Really fantastic. Excellent service and even better food. We especially loved caramelized squash, macaroni and cheese (usually not a big Mac and cheese person either), and generally excellent vegetables all around. The most exciting part of it all is that the menu regularly refreshes, so you have even more of a reason to come back and try everything again!

I worked for In Season Farms, which supplies vegetables to the restaurant. I had nothing but an amazing experience! The farm is run in such a sustainable way, and they really make an effort to bring fresh, healthy food to Louisville. The only reason I left employment there was due to a personal health issue, but I utterly enjoyed every aspect of working there. And the food at the restaurant is top notch! There is a taste and quality difference in the ingredients, with or without my grower’s bias. Highly recommend! It’s a great company and owner and a great restaurant!

What a wonderful find! The winter salad was delicious and their local kombucha was delicious! The staff was as good as the food - kind, helpful, went out of their way to get me what I wanted! I'll definitely be back the next time work travel brings me here!

I love the ambiance and the look of this place. As someone who travels to Louisville often for work, I have seen downtown go through a lot of changes in recent years and this is a welcome and much-needed addition to the lunch scene. I wish I could love this place for the food. The ingredients all seem very high quality and thoughtfully sourced. However, as someone with a moderately severe nut allergy, I was dismayed at how my meal was prepared. I noticed that certain items (such as the walnuts, crushed tortilla chips, and cheese) are handled by hand (with gloves) and not scoops/spoons. After my order was passed off to the second employee at the counter, my allergy was not communicated and I realized very quickly that there was a pretty big cross-contamination risk. The employee washed their hands and changed their gloves and happily made me a new bowl, but I still felt doubtful of how safe my meal was from a cross-contamination standpoint, because their hands had already touched pretty much all the containers and toppings within them throughout the lunch rush already, who knows how many times. Perhaps someone with a more severe allergy than I would have been affected - I was fine, but I also keep an Epi-Pen and Benadryl on me at all times so I can take a relatively small risk like this. I wish there were proper serving utensils used for each of the individual items behind the counter so that this would be less of a concern. This is just my honest feedback. I’d be happy to return (and improve my review!) if I knew this issue was addressed. Besides that, the lemonade was delicious and the staff were all very friendly, even with me being high maintenance and being in the middle of the lunch rush. The menu is seriously amazing, very affordable, and so fresh. I really want to be able to come back to this place with more peace of mind.

Took two weary kids here on a quick road trip stop after every sit down place was booked into the afternoon and we were so lucky to have found this place! The owner was so incredibly friendly and even shared some strawberries from his farm that were not on the menu. The kids said they (and the chocolate chip cookie) were the best they ever had. I got the steak bowl with carrot ginger vinaigrette and it was amazing. The combination of the dressing with whatever they seasoned the freshly grilled steak with was so good! My husband made his own bowl and was delighted with the quality and flavors as well. They also had a great selection of fresh juices, kombucha, lemonades, and teas. Given the quality of the food, I was expecting it to cost waaaaay more than the total came out to, so reasonably priced! Wish we lived in Louisville because this would be a frequent lunch stop for us.

Unfortunately they forgot to include the side I ordered and I was given an entree I didn't order. The brussels and carrots were more burnt than roasted and made my stomach hurt. I'll have to give it one more chance because it's a good concept.

came in from NYC for Railbird Festival and found this awesome legit farm to table fast casual salad and bowl place. every single items was super fresh and tasty without being overly oiled or salty. perfect selection of choices without being overwhelming. really was the best salad/bowl fast casual meal I have had in years. Definitely better thank New York's similar places like sweet green and DigIn. I would go to this place every day for lunch if it was nearby.

Visited this place for lunch while visiting Louisiana, and wish they had something like this back in Detroit. Ordering is similar to Chipotle, and the staff was very friendly. I ordered a build-your own with the quinoa, greens, and chicken thigh meat. But the highlight of the meal was the roasted fresh veggies -Carrots, Brussel sprouts, Peppers, Cauliflower. I would suggest getting the dressing on the side- as good as it is, you don't want to miss experiencing the veggies on their own. Definitely recommend.

I ordered a "build your own" bowl. They had lots of options that would meet any assortment of dietary restrictions. Daniel answered all the questions I had. I had a lot of them. The portion size was perfect and the price was just right. $14 for the bowl and a drink. Will definitely return.

Fresh from the farm to the table. The menu represents what is in season in the fields and farms of Kentucky. The posted menu advertises thoughtfully crafted harvest bowls and farm salads with sauces on the side. Honestly, I had difficulty choosing from the deliciousness offered! Berries in Beets salad, Watermelon x Arugula salad, Sweet corn and Bacon Salad or the Achiote Summer taco bowl were my top choices. I went with the taco bowl, which was Ahhhmaaazzzzing! It contained: Free range chicken thigh, white rice, sautéed sweet corn mix, cherry tomatoes, white cheddar cheese, sour cream, tortilla strips, smashed avocado, and fresh cilantro with tomatillo vinaigrette. My drink choice was Watermelon lemonade, which was so light and refreshing for a hot summer day. I cannot wait to go back to try the other choices.
