Reviews of Game Restaurant
Anthony Messina
Anytime I am on my travels, I am always looking for some exotic foods. I love to try and eat meats that are hard to fine and this place are exactly what I was looking for. Their entire menu has all kinds of gamy items that are not easy to find, but the rarest of all was the kangaroo!
Certainly not something I can manage to eat all the time, but as a once in a while I don’t it was amazing. I had a rabbit meatball on the side and was very happy with my meal.
The kangaroo burger was delicious and the sauce on it was fantastic. It was a pretty good size and I left the restaurant relatively full. I will say that the side items of sweet potatoes was small so I’d recommend going for the basket instead if you are hungry.
Not only was the meal good, but the service is pretty great as well. Isaac was great with the server and very helpful on my touristy Kentucky questions. I would highly recommend trying this place out!

Go to Game and sit at the bar. They have interesting seasonal burgers along with their standard menu. I went with the Wild Boar ($15), added some Brussels sprouts on the side, and had a key lime pie sour. The roasted bone marrow ($14) was delicious but a bit hard to conquer solo. The staff is super friendly. I can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.
Anthony Arizpe
If you are a meat lover this is the place for you. I will highly recommend the bone marrow easily one of the best bone marrow I've ever had. Plenty of exotic meat to try I got the meatballs, and I recommend getting the meatballs at a medium to medium rare as my meatballs were a little bit overcooked in my opinion but still very good. Great little cabin vibes while you enjoy a beer as well.
Nicholas Applegate
An amazing treat if you enjoy wild foods! We absolutely loved it! I would like to return once a month to try a new burger each time until I have tried each! It was delicious! We had the wild boar and wagyu and it was amazing!
Reed
What a cool experience. Whee else can you try Duck, Tongue, Bison, Kangaroo, Confit in a place that makes it easy to sample items that you have never had before. The meatballs are a great way to share the different meats, and the trio let's you try 3 kinds of sliders. We had scotch eggs, and meatballs for appetizers and than the meal. Prices are OK and the corn is seasoned exquisitely. I'd recommend this to anyone willing to try something new.
Susan Roberts
Great fun idea but pricey to find out you don’t like something. Kangaroo was definitely a fan favorite. Bone Marrow was great but super rich. I wouldn’t come regularly but a fun experience I recommend trying.
Jason Beatty
Truly excellent. Delicious and perfectly prepared, a lot of thought goes into each recipe and you won’t be disappointed. My server Addyson had sampled most of the burgers on the menu and guided me to the perfect one. This restaurant stands out in a crowded field of delicious destinations in Louisville.
Jeffrey Nesbit
Visited Game for the first time post-pandemic and was delighted to discover that it's still as good and wild as ever.
There's nowhere else in this whole region that's going to give me the enviable task of deciding between trying their special yak burger or their special alligator hot dogs -- and we should all be grateful for that level of culinary weirdness.
Food was delicious, service was wonderful, already looking forward to going back for yet another round of something new.

My husband used to live in Louisville and loved this restaurant, too bad when we came through on the way south from Chicago they were closed (5th January). We decided to just spend the night in the city and go to the restaurant the next day (6th January). We went there and everything was nice, as nice as he exactly remembered. We had bone marrow (it was the bomb! So good!) and the elk burger (also really good). It seems that a good thing comes with a steep price because little did we know, that day, a snowstorm hit the city causing many accidents and road closings. A 4 hour trip from Louisville stuck us for 15 hours in I-75. Was this experience worth for the hassle? Probably not, but in any other circumstances is this a good restaurant? Yes, of course.

Let me start out saying I'm not adventurous when it comes to my meats but my friends are and they convinced me to come and try this place. It was really good. We each ordered a different meat and we all sampled each others. I liked the bison burger and I would try the kangaroo the next time I come here. Very pleasant experience with the staff and food
James Troupis
They probably don’t want more Chicago Michelin-star snobs and foodies coming here but as one of those I must say this place is a must visit. Yes, they have kangaroo and unique meats but it’s the intentionality and discerning taste of how ingredients are combined and food is presented that makes this not a novelty but a genuine 5-star must visit. That discerning taste extends to the beer menu as well. The service was friendly and fast (a rarity these days) which as a few Yankees traversing a local Kentucky joint was a welcome surprise. Price is about half of what it would be in Chicago and cheaper than prices I’ve seen in KY too - which just adds another check in the 5-star column. So great.
Matthew Romanczyk
Pretty awesome place in Louisville. We had a beef bone marrow and meatball samples of kangaroo, rabbit and dry aged beef and a kangaroo burger. Highly recommend!!!
Jason Gallavin
This place is one of my favorites! Everytime I go I like to try a different burger. They cooked the meat to my liking medium-rare
Tracy Davis
I got the angus burger during burger week. The burger was juicy but it was a small thick patty but was just a burger nothing special. The tomato jam had a good flavor. The fries were fries not a whole lot of flavor. The server was nice but it was a little warm in the building
Zoran Cuckovic
The food and the service were amazing! Would love to go back and try several other things from the menu. Definitely a place worth visiting.
Dustin Jennings
I've been wanting to try this place for three years. Was with a friend looking for a place to eat and stubbled across it. Lucky me. I had the Venison burger cooked medium with sautéed onions and mushrooms and a bone marrow aïoli. The burger was cooked to perfection, and I could tell immediately the fries we're homemade due to the fresh feel and taste. It’s very rare that you order a burger and ask it be cooked medium and it come to you cooked medium. The server there was very helpful and informative and had a knowledge of the menu. And for the food that you get there, The items are reasonably priced. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. It was well worth the three-year wait!!!!
Hannah
I’m sure others would like it, but this place wasn’t for me. The pork belly with the scotch eggs were tough, and as expected, everything had a game(y) taste. My boyfriend really enjoyed the food here though, and it was a neat experience.
Brittany Michelle
My man and I rode our bikes here. I got the alpaca burger and he got the kangaroo burger. It was so amazing I came back three times since! I have gotten the kangaroo burger and a camel burger as well. This place is heavenly! The bone marrow is so delicious 😋 …
Derek Haubenschild
Visiting from out of town, found this place on Google. It was AMAZING. Order a bunch of the meatballs to try the different types of game. Everything was awesome. Highly recommend stopping by.
Allyson Bailey
The food was great & so was our waitress! I had the bison burger, fries with truffle oil & a hefe weizen, perfect combo! I was also able to try the kangaroo & elk; both tasty, but the kangaroo was surprisingly delicious!!
Sapper86ish
The place was great the service was excellent.
We had a birthday At that restaurant and did samplers is templars as well as meals see pictures... I believe the waiter's name was Bryce?
Hey took very good care of us.
Unfortunately it looks like I did not get to show you the video oops oops oops.. I messed up the video... For your birthday they give you a birthday drink from a bone that goes down the bone... For free!
Susan Vincentz
Finally tried Game and had some awesome burgers! I had the Lamb burger, my son had Venison, and hubby had bison. For an appetizer we had nachos with wild boar chorizo! If you like trying different types of meat give this place a try. We will definitely be back!
darkmetallink1
Delicious!
A great place to try a variety of meats.
Yak was suprising 🤔 …
Catherine Sherman
Without doubt the best burgers in town. Best burgers ever actually. Nice selection of beers. The service is just right, casual, friendly and efficient. So far I have had the Yak, Kangaroo and Wild Boar. I am going to try the Rabbit next.
Rodney Watters
Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Great dry aged beef burger. Nachos were good with the beer cheese. Kangaroo and wagyu meatballs were very flavorful. Best basket of fries. I still trying to understand how you make fries so flavorful.
Michael Johnson
Fun experience.
The waiter was friendly and engaging. Very knowledgeable about the menu and even shared with us his favorite burger.
I would definitely go here again, looking forward to maybe having panda on the menu.
Joshua Hardman
Exotic meats turned into a delicious changing hamburger selection. We tried the Exotic beast burger with kangaroo meat for Louisville burger week and it did not disappoint! I absolutely recommend this rustic little eatery right in the middle of Louisville!
Jason Jackson
Amazing experience with dining had a yak Burger wife had a African antelope Burger
Amber Perry
I had the wild boar burger and sweet potato fries. My boyfriend had the elk burger and brussel sprouts. We were both pleased with our meal!
This was my 2nd time visiting. I had kangaroo burger last time and it was awesome.
Everything is always cooked to perfection, juicy, and delicious.
If you get the chance to try the bone marrow appetizer... do it! Yum!!
Jereme Scheffel
Every time I have friends or family come to visit the area, I tend to go out of my way for unique local favorites. Game certain ly tops the "unique" part with the exotic meats. Good prices and the fries are always an amazing side. It's not every day you can say you had Kangaroo.
Andrew
Tried a Yak burger today to see what the big hairy animal tasted like. Not gamey at all more beefy. The curried mayo was light but added a nice taste to the burger. Love the range of meats they have for their burgers from plain beef to exotic Yak or game such as elk or antelope. Also, a great way to taste is to get the meatballs rather than a whole burger if you want to see what the taste might be like. The fries were bits and pieces so that reduced the rating. Game does burgers justice in preperation, thought about how to dress it with what type of cheese or none to use, or mayo, lettuce, onion and tomato.
Shane Chase
Real nice people. Great food! Had the camel burger, frog legs, and fries deep fried in duck fat. Can't wait to stop again the next time I'm in the area.
Joanna Marling
This is an amazing place that offers quality and delicious food. I have gone here several times and have never been let down. Highly recommend! One of my favorite places to eat!
Jenny Brown
Best service we have had in a long time. Our Server, Taylor we such a pleasure! Not only great personality, but so helpful with the menu as well as just very attentive to our needs. Thanks Taylor for making our experience so awesome. Thanks Game for great food!!
Bianca P
While Game isn’t my favorite, I think they execute their theme really well. Well crafted exotic game burgers and meatballs are really fun for groups—but their scotch egg is probably my favorite thing on the menu.
Rachel P
The flavors at Game are SO GOOD. I also love the amount of options for types of game and the fact that you can choose to get a meatball sampler of different game if you want to taste a bunch of different ones! We tried the frog legs one time and they were good, just super messy. This time we tried the scotch eggs and wow, those were amazing! So far my favorite meat has been the kangaroo! They seem to run out of Alpaca a lot so don’t be surprised if they don’t have it when you go. It’s good though and that’s probably why. The service is pretty good there and the food doesn’t usually take very long to get to you. The parking situation is a bit tough, but you can also park across the street by the brick wall and cross the street to get to Game if needed. I typically go weeknights just due to how busy they get! They are small so the seating is limited, but I haven’t had any problems on weeknights finding a table! This is a great spot!
Marina Ionita
We’ve ordered a wagyu burger, and a kangaroo burger with a basket of sweet potatoes fries. They were all extremely tasty. The best burgers we’ve had since moving to the USA a year ago.
Thank you, Game!
Katie C
Yummy food for a good price. I have been to other wild game restaurants that jack up the prices and don’t offer confortable laid back experience like this place did. This is a good way to I geoduck your self to different kinds of food
Julie Clark
I recommend this restaurant to everyone because it's so unique. Where else in the city can you get a kangaroo or elk burger? Also, the nachos are 🔥
Harry Duer
A lot of different meats here make it interesting. I got bison burger but they charged a dollar for barbeque sauce . I don't get that. 3 dollars for average fries
David Abram
Definitely a five star experience. I honestly didn't care much for the kangaroo burger, but it was not because of anything Game did wrong.
The fries are a MUST have. Best I've had in a long time. Add in a bottle of beer from Deschutes and I'm happy.
Be prepared to spend 17-25 per person.
D. Valentine
Excellent choices of game burgers with nice fusion. Should try the mac and cheese. Nice IPA on tap and cans. Will definitely be eating there again. Check out their other establishments.
Bryan Frana
Great restaurant! I had the alpaca with shrooms, pork belly, blue cheese, avocado, bone marrow aioli and duck fat fries. I highly recommend Game. The staff was nice, the service was good, and the food was fantastic. I will be back for another burger when I'm in town.
Paul Affron
I can't say enough good things about this place. I love the burgers, the duck fat fries are amazing, I'm not a vegetarian but my wife is so she has tried 2 of their veggie burgers made in house and I would go back for them they were so good. The servers are awesome as well. The restaurant is small so you will likely wait for a table but it's so worth it. FYI don't park in the Chinese restaurant parking next door you will be towed.
Josh Baurle
There's not much I can say about this place that hasn't been said in every other review...
Can it get a little busy? Sure. Is it on the higher price end for a burger? Sure. Does McDonald's offer a value meal with wild boar and truffle fries? Nope.
I highly recommend the alpaca, anything that comes with pork belly, and don't even think about ordering fries if you don't opt for cooking them in duck fat! The beer menu is on point, the staff is always friendly and willing to offer suggestions, and the food is definitely some of the best you'll find in Louisville!
Tyler Rose
Really good food! The variety of burgers and meats was amazing. I had the wagyu burger and it was really good. Would love to go back and order the different varieties of meats. Such as the elk or kangaroo options. Also, the fries were really good, I suggest if you have a little extra money to spend try ordering the fries with the truffle oil and fried in the duck fat it'll be worth the extra $5 or so dollars. The s'more dessert was again really good. They also kept a constant flow of drink refills which is something I really appreciate in a restaurant. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you want to try something new or different.
Jason Lloyd
I had the alpaca burger and it was delicious. I also had an elk sample and it was also very tasty. The Scotch eggs were amazing!
MK
Very thick burgers and filled me up. I had the elk burger for $13. Side of fries was an extra $3, everything tasted very good and the owner was very friendly. A little pricey but still deserves 5 star.
Jason Hall
This place rocks. Kangaroo is delicious. Service was amazing (thank you, Sarah)
Great dinner out with friends, courtesy of Game Restaurant.
Johnny I
Delicious food and very unique menu. You MUST being your family and friends here for an unforgettable experience!!
Matt Howard
Quality food and great service. When you are trying to figure out 'roo, elk, alpaca or Wagyu you need someone with understanding, they got it.
Fries were great, sweat tea was top notch.
The kids liked it too.
Kleyz
We tried several different meatballs, the kangaroo was my favorite. We also had the bone marrow, it was very good. The grilled corn was great and the truffle fries were very good. One of our burgers was pretty undercooked but they were great and cooked another one for us. Parking can be difficult but there is street parking on a side street across the road. Overall a good experience.
Molly B
My husband claimed it was the best dinner of our vacation. Definitely a great joint worth a stop if you like unique dinner options! They have an assortment of meats like biscon, elk, kangaroo and much more, available as either a burger or meatball.
Joseph Jacob
This place is amazing. Try a meatball sampler first to see what you like best. All the meats were great.
Innovato
Really neat place! Liked that you can try meatballs of the various game meats as appetizers before deciding on the burgers! Fast service, nice place. One star off for the "greeter/hostess" who was a big gruff with our crew but server was very friendly. I really liked the kangaroo, and alpaca; the venison was a bit Herby and didn't need to cover up the venison taste so much, IMO. I ended up with a kangaroo burger with pork belly, pepper jack cheese, most of the free toppings, and the habenero ranch. Simply scrumptious! Came out medium and juicy. Would go back if I am in the area again!
Daniel Carr
Had a great lunch here with my team awhile back. Great food and experience in a small space. Food was fantastic, loved the flavors and presentation. Staff was on their "game" as well.
Kate Snell
A simple picture of my delicious lamb burger but I was fortunate enough to try a range of other items and everything was great. The staff are beyond amazing.,
Beth P
Had a very pleasant lunch here today...we had bison, boar and kangaroo. We each sampled them all and found them all to be delicious...not 'gamey' at all. The service and atmosphere were excellent. Ps...I think the boar burger was the best...
William Alsup
Went here for burger week. Got the Wild Beast burger which is bison and wagyu. It was excellent! Also got the fries with truffle oil. Highly recommend. Great experience.
Prasanth Ganesan
Wide variety of meat with the option of trying small meatball portions. Their portion sizes were a tad small for the price, but you go more for the experience. I'd stay away from the pork belly next time though, way too thick a slice to cook as rare as they did. Wish the restaurant was a bit bigger too given there is no reservations accepted.
J H
Just amazing.. I had the wild boar burger wife had the kangaroo burger, and we had elk, duck, wagyu and lamb meatballs! Duck was probably my favorite. And I recommend the jalapeno jam it went really well with all the meats.
Toni tinius-brady
Came for burger week!
Wow,so fantastic. The brussel sprouts were awesome too.Fun place.
Deidric Tupper
What jumps out first is the sheer variety of meat options that are available. Even though it can be daunting at times, the ability to try different meats that you would never come in contact with normally makes every meal an adventure. It's definitely one of those places that you have to visit multiple times.
Artley Nine
Tried the waygu and oven baked Mac nd cheese. Waygu was a bit more well done than med well and the pepper used in the seasoning was a bit strong. Added some Mayo and seemed to help deal with the pepper taste. Mac and cheese was pretty good, I especially loved the cheese and the crumbs on top. The noodle could be changed, but it still turned out pretty well.
Had a small issue with the bill but got resolved pretty quickly.
MarkA Shabsis
We went for their burger week special. I loved their vennison/boar burger. So cool to try different meat options. I really want to try the Yak burger.
Michael Conrado
Roasted bone marrow was incredible, burger was awesome as well!
Scott Payne
Simply one of the best places to get a burger and unique ones as well. The service is always top notch when we go there and the food never disappoints..
Lisa Ramsey
Awesome experience. Food was great interesting choices and their servers where very attentive! Ate duck, boar, and alpaca!
Greg Hillen
Phenomenal food;
Enjoyed the bone marrow, wagyu burger, fries in duck fat, and an assortment of meat balls.
Service was great and fun to discuss the menu with, very helpful and knowledgable.
Will definitely be coming back when I am back in the area.
Scooter McWheelie
The food came out perfect I highly recommend this place
Schyler Gillett
The menu selection gave us the feeling of being out on the range! We opted for Wild Boar BBQ nachos, which still had the gamey flavor... should have gone for the WB chorizo nachos. Back home we trap the hogs and grain feed them for 3 weeks... It feels like a badge of honor/bravery to say we have eaten there.
J Ratliff
Tried the kangaroo, goat, alpaca, and waygu meatballs. The truffle butter fries, and the parmesan smoked truffle mayo grilled corn which was actually my favorite. One note: I would add bear because is fantastic! If you would add bear I would be a regular I'm sure!
Mr_J Villa
5/5 FANTASTICALLY DELICIOUS!!!
I ordered the "Kangaroo burger, Wagyu Meatball, and the Corn side"
It was the first time I've ever have Kangaroo and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!!
IF YOU ARE VISITING MAKE SURE TO GO AT LEAST ONCE.
Expect to spend $25 for ONE Person, however it is EXTREMELY worth it! Especially since this is the only location in the Country.
Sean McWhirk
Very nice variety of things to choose from for the not so every day type of meats available. Kangaroo, duck, lamb, camel and bison, as well as rabbit to name a few. Every thing I sampled of the meatballs, were savory and delicious but none dry at all, very juicy. Hard to decide which to get for my burger and it was very much of the same as the sample meatball and I got to choose the bun, cheese, toppings etc.
Robby Keene
Brought my chicago friends here to show them one of my favorite spots in town and they absolutely delivered. The kangaroo burgers crushed as always. It was definitely the culinary highlight of the trip. Keep up the good work. Y'all got fans in Chicago now
Mario Arellano
Great little spot to eat. Parking is very tight and limited. Hosts were good and accommodating. They offer some unique menu items. Most exotic meat is in the form of meatballs so it all sort of tastes the same except for the rabbit. Worth a visit. Good pricing.
Kevin Lockwood
Game meats that "you can't get back home." Their scotch eggs are to die for. Highly recommend the meatball sampler and go crazy with it. The alpaca, duck, kangaroo, wild boar, and bison were all amazing. No, they don't taste like chicken! If you want chicken, go to KFC and let your seat be used by someone else. 😜 The staff and their service are top-notch. 10/10 will be back!
Kyndriel
Small building but cool decor. The food was great and it's a really fun experience trying out different meats. We ordered a few different meatballs and the dry aged beef and kangaroo were our top two. Definitely excited to go back and taste the other meats available.
Tyler Glish
This place has made me wonder how I've done my ratings in the past. It was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was very friendly and the food was exquisite. My wild boar was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing with the goat cheese, bacon and truffle mayo I had added. Some things I'd like to add to anyone considering coming here are:
1. The place is pretty small, so there will be wait times
2. Theres a vast variety of options and toppings that are definatly worth looking at for those who want to try new things
3. Some of the options and items can get a bit pricey, but its worth it, so be prepared.
Overall, 10/10

Decided to stop in for dinner before returning to Lexington after a long flight. Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic people, and fantastically family owned!
Brian Sisco
This was an awesome place - menu has a variety of burgers that you can order or just order how you would like it - I had an Alpaca Burger and was superb - will def go back to try other things - highly recommend - only complaint I had was parking - unless I missed a separate lot - spaces appeared minimal -
tara olSEN
This is one of my favorite places ever! Whenever I'm in Louisville I always bring people here. The burgers are large taste great and are fun to eat! I think I've been here 4 times now no and I have to say the rabbit is my favorite as well as the fries cooked in duck fat. I highly recommend this place!
Jonathan Wolff
Been a Vegetarian for 30yrs. LOVE this restaurant. First visit. I had the Grilled Corn Poblano & Garbanzo burger and also the Thai Chili Glazed Brussel Sprouts. But there were lots of other options for me. Great service, cool vibe. My (meat-eating) wife said her salmon burger with fries was spectacular. We'll be back for sure!
Lala
Absolutely incredible every single time I go. I don't even lole ground meat, and I will happily eat Game burgers until I explode. I absolutely adore the kangaroo. Order the meatballs to try different meats, but share them. They're huge!
Caleb Scott
Incredible food, wonderful atmosphere and amazing staff at very reasonable prices. The alpaca burger was easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten and definitely get the white cheddar Mac and cheese it’s to die for.
James Stanley
Excellent food a buddy and I ordered excessively to try as many things as we could and we were pleasantly stuffed. Great sauces to compliment the assortment of meats. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu
Sierra Elverd
Took my husband here for fathers day. The food and service was amazing. Would definitely recommend! It was smaller than I thought it would be but wasnt busy
Ryan Sapp
Service was awesome. The waiter went above and beyond to explain the menu. Not very many tables so get there early, but it’s worth it.
Adrienne Gabehart
I'm a pretty picky eater, but this place was AMAZING! The Thai chili brussel sprouts were to die for!
Tammie Sharp
Awesome food! The bone marrow was delicious and the ostrich meatballs were seasoned perfectly
Josh Gorey
It was nice to try elk here in burger form. It was cooked how i liked it. Worth the extra money for game meat.
Waldo Calrissian
Went there for burger week the first time definitely going to go back really good food Cool atmosphere good people even fast service which is rare sometimes especially when they were busy
Ray Boyz
Food was good, service was excellent, parking is very very tight. Staff is Knowledgeable about their products.
Cristina Iuriev
Best burger I ever had! The food is super delicious here and the service is just amazing here!
Mr. Law
Friendly with high energy. Everyone was greeted and accommodated with kindness and the food was delicious. They don't just place fancy meat patties into a burger, they build each gourmet burger around the unique tastes and cultures of its meat. The camel burger I enjoyed came with feta and many Mediterranean spices and flares.
RIDE ALL SPORTS
This place was awesome, they had a great selection of meats. The coolest thing was Kangaroo. Ya, kangaroo is on the menu and it tastes great. I definitely recommend this place to people who are willing to try new things.
Robin 5.2.84
Fried frog legs, elk burger, and kangaroo meatball sampler were spot on!
Cathy Marcum-Bright
Good food, all of it is in burger form however. Rustic setting, was quite cold inside.
Staff were pleasant and efficient but my partner noted that everyone seemed a bit " medicated" as they appeared to struggle comprehending orders.
Jay Dub
Definitely worth experiencing.
They occasionally have meats not on the menu, for example ostrich.
Edward Kiefer
Absolutely amazing. If you're in Louisville I would highly recommend swinging by this place. They have draft beer and local beers canned up, and a bunch of "exotic" meats to choose from for you burger. And try the duck fat for the fries.
Michetti Barracuda
Our server Laura was fantastic. Service was great, restaurant was clean. The food was meh. We asked for kangaroo burgers cooked medium and they were cooked well and very dry and flavorless.... Just tasted like dry beef. I don't like to make a big fuss and complain when I go eat so I just won't be back.
Tiffany Caufield
highly enjoyed my experience @ Game, even stepped outside my comfort zone and tried the bone marrow it was not bad. I also got and angus burger that was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend GAME.... especially to those people who like to try different things.
Chuck Tone
This place is a real gem. I strongly recommend you try it. My wife and I were very impressed and will be back soon!
Gabe Jones (Something915)
All indoor and outdoor eating areas at Game are wheelchair accessible, however there isn't a table under which I can comfortably sit from my wheelchair. With that said, I've had kangaroo, wild boar, and dry aged beef burgers, all of which were good. If you get fries make sure to get a basket of them fried in duck fat, it's worth the extra $3 and they reheat well if you have leftovers. Lastly if they have Irish cheesecake order a slice for there or to go, it was very delicious when I had it. The good, interesting food and the friendly staff have made me a repeat customer, but the lack of fully accessible seating is keeping this review from being rated higher
Charles Martak
This is by far my favorite burger place. I end up going here often, my personal favorite is the kangaroo burger. If you're up for something good and unique definitely give this place a try.
Gas Station Sushi
I was a little unhappy because when I went they had a "burger week" menu which meant the menu size was drastically reduced. Restrooms were kind of shotty at best. The food was good, well cooked and served at a good pace. Worth the money, just kind of falls short on an experience. It's worth going, it would have been nice to have a full menu though.
Zane Powell
Everything from the menu to the atmosphere, this is a definite must try. I would suggest the Scotch Eggs and the Alpaca burger!
Nathan Miller
Haven't seen these types of meals offered anywhere else! Wild boar burger was spot on. Rabbit was much leaner but that's to be expected. Definitely worth trying something new here. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Parking is tight but that's hardly a fault against 'em.
Carl Purk
Awesome selection presentation cooking and taste out of this world love going for our annual convention every yr this was our 3rd xo and FINE spirits in a glass lol

Amazing burgers! I have come back multiple times and every time the food is amazing. We had carry out the first time, which was ordered very smoothly online. Our second time we decided to sit out on their patio. They had a great selection of beers and every burger that we’ve had has been the best I’ve ever had. Definitely our new favorite spot in town!
Chris Iceberg
Really interesting place. Has some cool exotic cames to try. The frog legs were awesome.
Diane Rhonomus
Amazing food and service. We highly recommend it. If you're looking for a unique experience, this is the place.
My husband had the wagyu hamburger and I had the elk burger. It was so good. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked. Yum. We will definitely be back.
Laura Patterson
Love this place. It’s a great spot for a healthy and light meal- I get a nice big salad and a few little game meatballs- you’d be mistaken to think that game would have to be a caloric splurge. Eat here every day of the week and you’ll be fit as a fiddle.
Jordan Braley
Just moved to Louisville from Maine a month ago, so far this has been the best restaraunt I've been to. Everything was perfect and service was stellar. Please visit.
Kevin Chan
They got an unmatched selection of different game meats. We tried the kangaroo and camel burgers. If you ever wonder what to have for a meal, then this us the place! The variety alone is worth the experience.
Tracy Muns
The service was absolutely amazing, Hunter was seriously the best server I've ever had anywhere. He had an amazing attitude and made sure I was taken care of. The food was out of this world as well, I had the camel burger and it is the best burger I've ever tasted. 5 stars for sure. It was an all around amazing experience!
Savanna Rita
Not only was it cool to eat different types of meat that I don't think I would have ever tried otherwise, but the customer service was top notch. I didn't realize it, but one of our dishes came out overcooked, and the owner? head chef? manager? came out and let us know it wasn't up to their standard and that he was going to give us a new one. That really stood out to us as above and beyond! Thanks!
Staci Hill
Holy Pimento Cheese on an Angus Burger!!!! What a lively restaurant. Tables were full all night and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. The owners, Tim and Melissa continually made their rounds to ensure the experience was nothing less than stellar! I like to think of my home state of Texas as a great place for gaming meat but Texas has nothing on GAME! The jalapeno python poppers were mouth watering. The bar has a rotating selection of IPA's and local beers and any other concoction you could imagine. When in Louisville....GAME!!!
Maricela McElroy
The food was delicious 😋 and the service was fabulous.
Andrew Sykes (djdarco)
After all these years taking friends and family, this restaurant continues to satisfy. I had my first date here with the woman I married in 2013. Now in 2021 we just had an amazing meal. Burgers were fantastic. Wagyu and Wild Boar. I would recommend for anyone! You gotta go try these burgers!
Rachael Jeffrey
My friend and I were in town for a few days and Game came highly recommended by friends. Our waitress, Addy, was very knowledagle about the menu and provided excellent service. The owners and all staff were very friendly and welcoming. We tried the venison and lamb and absolutely loved it- highly recommend!
Crash kelley
Great handmade burger, many types of meats, from beef to duck to alpaca! Kangaroo is really good. Variety is endless. Meatballs, as sampler, is very good idea. French fries are hand cut, can even get them fried in duck fat(recommended) will be back again
Benjamin Bjerke
It's probably all hamburger but still delicious 🤷♂️
Scanlon Rush
This is absolutely my favourite restaurant in Louisville! Whether you've been a local forever or are visiting, please treat yourself if you haven't already. Had the elk burger and fries with duck fat, and it was deeeeelicious. Also got a sides of the cranberry-jalapeno jam and bone marrow mayo, because personally I think they go great with the elk. If you have the opportunity to try their meatball samplers, be sure to go for the aged beef and wagyu! On top of the delicious food the staff was incredibly friendly and on top of our needs. Social distancing was also enforced and maintained via restricted seating and this location offers three different seating areas, one outside, each with partitions between them.
Todd Micheal
Amazing meat adventures for myself and my former vegetarian girlfriend
Scott Tape
The food here was delicious, They have all sorts of different meat to try. Had some kangaroo and it tasted like a smoky juicy hamburger. The restaurant also has some impressive decoration. Definitely recommend going here especially if you love meat.
Anthony Markley
The wild boar nachos were excellent. We also ordered the patty melt with pastrami, the burger part was well overcooked, but they acknowledged it and addressed the issue. I chose to remove the burger from the sandwich instead of remaking and that significantly improved the taste.
Rose Zimmerman Caple
One of my top favorite burger places. Service was very good and lots of COVID safety procedures in place. There is indoor, semi indoor, and outdoor seating available right now. One of our friends got their food early so they gave him a free beer to have when the rest of us had ours. I love all the burgers. Elk and alpaca might be my favorite. My husband loves their kangaroo and wild boar. If you are new, do the meatball sampler. Truffle fries are the best!
Karin Bruton-Winterfeldt
Went for a late lunch on 09.18.21. What an amazing experience!! Never mind the absolutely great decor.... The food was the shining star and really, really amazing.... Service was great too. Zero complaints - just heapfuls of praise for the chef and their team. Wished we could go back and taste the whole menu, but it's a bit far away (wonder if they ship 🤔). We had the scotch eggs w grilled pork belly, bone marrow (put me in heaven), Ostritch and Wagyu burgers. Oh and the Hofbräu bier was the perfect complement. 5 🌟 meal!
Eden Stanton
The food and atmosphere were amazing. Super flavorful meats to choose from. The staff were attentive and amazingly kind. I brought a party of 12 for my husband's birthday party and they were very nice and attentive to everyone at the table. The Alpaca and Elk meat were the favorite meats at the table. Thank you and we will be visiting again.
Shiona Deliozar
5 stars for a really nice staff. Made a stop on the way to Nashville and got to try some of their game meatballs.
Donnie Smith
The alpaca burger was cooked perfectly and the asparagus was amazing. My wife had a slightly more boring beef burger and it was also amazing. The fresh, hand-cut fries were perfectly seasoned and perfectly crisp. I highly recommend this place.
Brandon Feusner
If you are looking for somewhere unique to eat and you love meat this is your place! The atmosphere is amazing and the food is outstanding. We had an appetizer of Scotch Eggs, which I'd never had before, and they were amazing! They had the perfect blend of flavor from the egg, the breading, the pork belly and the sauce it melted in your mouth. I then had the Wild Boar Chorizo Nachos and they were delicious and came as a considerably large portion. I highly recommend them especially if you are a fan of loaded nachos. I will definitely return to try otger exotic meats as well ans highly recommend this place to my family and friends.
Shannon Walters
We stopped by at 7 on a Thursday. No wait, but by 7:30 a wait started. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. Server was very knowledgeable of all the offerings as my daughter was grilling him as she tried to learn. Frog legs weren't special and could be ordered around town for less. Bone marrow spread was flavorful. We had kangaroo, alpaca Angus and dry aged burgers. All were extremely filling and delicious. Side of fries is plenty for 1. The basket is for sharing. Duck fat fries were amazing. The food was salty so beware. We had group of 5 adults and a teen. Bill was $150 before tip. We do plan on returning. Great beer selection.
Angela Hayden
We had decided to go last night during burger week. Understand this during pandemic, so capacity limited. We ordered meatballs- kangaroo, bison & dry aged all were yummy! We liked the kangaroo the most. The seasonal salad topped with candied walnuts was nice crisp greens & sliced fresh strawberries with balsamic dressing very nice on the palate. Side of fries w/ truffle flavoring unique blend. We didn’t try any of the varieties of beer or dessert. After the COVID-19 I want to go back and have more time to try
other items on menu. Well done Game 👍
Michael Kesler Jr.
Really cool to be able to try all the different meats in meatballs to see what you like. We had two meatballs split in 2 so all 4 of us could try and it worked out great. Duck didn't work out so great, but the others were really good. We will be back to try more.
Michael R
Great food, great service. I had the kangaroo burger, which was delicious (especially the pretzel bun it came on). My wife ordered a variety of meatballs, with the Elk being her favorite. The lamb and bison were also extremely delicious - the boar was almost tasteless, though.
Definitely recommend checking out this restaurant - casual clothes, beer drinking and carnivores' dream.
Nishka Reddy
Was there a few days ago visiting a friend. She had the venison and I had the lamb. Absolutely terrific! Our waitress was Addy and she was super helpful and gave us her recommendations. Can't wait to go back!
Stephen
Once again, Game knocks it out of the park! Service was outstanding and the unique food offerings were delicious.
Charles Houston
This place is amazing. A little pricey but definitely worth it, even for those to the vegetarian side. I highly recommend trying a variety of meats at different visits, they each really have their own profile.
Best compliment i can give this place is their sweet potato fries are delicious. I do not like sweet potato. You still get the flavor but the cook on them is perfect with the right balance of salt to really make them a treat.
Shannon Miller
Our server Cody had a great personality and was super helpful with specials and menu suggestions. We tried duck, alpaca, kangaroo, and elk. All were done beautifully. The sides were amazing as well! Best sweet potato fries I've had, and that corn on the cob just hits different!
Mastermind Jim Keplinger
First off, let me tell you to make sure you bring a sweater or are comfortable leaving your coat on -- this is set up like your favorite dive bar anywhere in the world (and I've been to them all over the world) and like most good dive bars heat is provided from the drinks and food -- fortunately, my wife and I had warm jackets.
This place is BEYOND...beyond what? Well, really about anything I've run across in a long time. So good, I almost didn't leave a review because, to be honest, I'm selfish and I suspect when it gets busy it's a long wait to get a seat (they proudly take no reservations or even calls to check what the seating is like). The food is EXACTLY what they say: Exotic meats -- Tonight's meatball flight (Bryce, the waiter, recommended it when we couldn't decide because we wanted it all), was a dozen meatballs, one of each as follows: Angus, Rabbit, Elk, Dry Aged Beef, Bison, Duck, Ostrich, Kangaroo, Venison, Wagyu, Lamb, and Wild Boar (apparently we missed out on camel by only a week or two...ah well). On top of that, we split a seasonal salad with a hemp vinaigrette which may be my new favorite dressing (and I make my own), and duck fat fried sweet potato fries with its own flight of dips -- three aiolis (garlic, truffle, and bone marrow) and two amazing jams (cranberry/jalapeno and tomato).
Now, when a waiter recommends something, I tend to take it with a grain of salt ("Hey Tommy, push the veal!"), BUT he was not only convincing, but he was also gushing...I dig passion, and he was passionate, so we went for it, and there was not a single thing that didn't come as advertised. Cooked to perfection across the board, every flavor well thought out and stacked one after the other.
When he said they had a flourless chocolate cake we didn't even question it...it was a slice of the most decedent ganache that has ever graced the inside of a chocolate truffle...but on a platter in full presentation.
Let me make a quick comment on the presentation: Most of the meals we saw (and what we had) came out on wooden planks (similar to charcuterie boards). Our water glasses were plastic (ala school cafeteria) and the flatware would have been at home in any diner (functional)...but when we asked for side plates we got Asian-themed china...or at least china plate-like. It made for a really eclectic table (we both loved it).
In a word, GAME has got GAME!
Visiting Louisville? GO HERE! Live in Louisville? GO HERE (it's probably your new favorite dinner spot).
Can't wait to return!
Mustapha Debbabi
The place is very casual dining with a bar. Limited seating, all wood. So don't plan on being comfortable and go early to secure a spot because they don't take reservations. The food is all sandwiches and à la carte. The menu includes a variety of meets such as bison, beef, rabbit, duck, camel, kangaroo, wild boar, ... I ordered a dry aged beef sandwich ($16), a basket of fries, equivalent of large fries elsewhere ($5) and a glass of water. Oh, tip 22% automatically added to the bill. If your party is six or more people, it will be added automatically as a service charge and then you get the final receipt asking for additional tip! If you don't specify, the bread, it will be a soft white brioche. Admittedly, my sandwich was delicious and everyone in my party enjoyed the taste of their food. One of my party members wanted to order a second sandwich because his hunger was not completely satisfied. He ordered kangaroo sandwich $18 and a 5-pc basket of asperagus ($5) and a beverage ($2), initially. Adding another sandwich did not seem reasonable. As mentioned earlier, the food is delicious and the service was good but quite pricey for the type of restaurant it is.
Laura Thomaswick
This place was awesome. Pretty small place, so I imagine it fills up quickly. The food is delicious! They have all types of burgers to choose from - from Kangaroo to salmon to elk patties. What I thought was really cool, though, is they also have vegetarian options as well. Sweet potato fries werr delicious and they have a decent selection of brews!
Debbie Peden
We were there for Burger Week. Our burgers and Against the Grain beers were perfect.
Jen Mills
Third time my family has eaten here, my first. We tried the meatball sampler, the wild boar nachos, and the pork belly with scotch eggs. All of which did not disappoint. We all had different burgers as well and all were cooked as ordered. Our server (Corey) was on point all the time we were there. The place was busy and still maintained Covid distancing. I am so happy to go to places like this and have a wonderful meal with a wonderful atmosphere. We will be back. Highly recommend.
Amy Zwiep
The best burger 🍔 place in Louisville! Their wild game burgers are truly delicious and the topping options are endless! …
Connor Tabb
Place is pretty good. Meat is what you expect and seems high quality at that. I only wish they included fries with the burger. Also, burgers seemed under sized. It’s a little pricey for what you get. Service was nice and I like the concept + execution.
Di Elizondo
I love that you can order samples of the meats! Love my server too!
Lucas Lizenby
Being able to sample all the different itiems as meatballs was a great way to try all sorts of things I'd never eaten. My wagyu burger was life changing levels of delicious. Wife had a kangaroo burger that was really great as well.
Robert Reed
The food is awesome! All of the staff was great and friendly. When we arrived, it was busy at about a 40 minute wait, but it was worth it. I put my name in, we waited about 15 minutes, and two seats opened up at the bar. I had four of the meatballs, kangaroo, wild boar, rabbit, and alpaca. They were all really good. Four us more than enough with a side to fill the average meat eaters needs. The white cheddar mac and cheese was spot on. The side of fries with truffle oil were perfect with the meatballs. My coworker had the alpaca, elk, and kangaroo meatballs and a salad. She is picky and loved all of it. Their beer selection is good for all tastes. I will definitely go back.
Pat D'butee
Proud of my hometown favorite. I send visiting clients here boasting the beer variety and great flavor of all the unique selections. Truffle fries and bison burger are to die for. It's no wonder they are always busy! Try the meatball samplers. You can't go wrong.
Amy degraffenreid
My absolute favorite place to eat in Louisville. The food is awesome, good beer, great staff and a cozy place to eat. With COVID we haven’t eaten in but have had it to go several times. I highly recommend it. From scotched eggs, meatballs, corn and the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had.
Chris Clark
I got the wagyu hamburger and so did my wife they were excellent cooked perfectly (medium) and my son got the camel and it was really good also. The fries were really good also we had them fried in duck fat which was a good choice definitely recommend for a really good burgers and fries
Bill Reynolds
Great eclectic menu of meats. Don't skip the duck fat fries!
Will Johnston
Stopped in for dinner while on vacation after it being suggested to me. Food was great: I did a few rounds of meatballs (Kangaroo and Bison were favorites) to try as much as I could - they were delicious. Top that off with a small but very strong and eclectic beer tap selection, with tons of bottles to back it up. The waitstaff was charming and very friendly as well. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!
Scott Weddle
Delicious and different! The Scotch eggs were absolutely amazing. The alpaca burger was lean and tasty, and my friend loved the bison tongue (!) sliders. Our server got a bit overwhelmed as more people came in (this was just as restaurants were reopening from Covid closures), but he could not have been any friendlier or helpful with the menu. The sink handle in the men's room was broken, but the hot water worked, so it wasn't a food safety concern, just a maintenance need. I will definitely be back to try some of the other unusual items. $95 for four beers, one app, two entrees, and a shared basket of truffle fries.
Adam Pickens
I had the kangaroo burger and it was pretty good. Everything's a la carte though
Bruce Pitchford
This is a very unique restaurant, and the staff was helpful and enthusiastic. The food was great! They have vegetarian options, but to me, this was about the unique meat options. We had a sampler of meatballs of wild boar, kangaroo, and alpaca. Before the main entree. Can't wait to go back
erin nease
Worth the trip (no matter where you're driving from!) This was hands down the BEST burger joint I've ever been to in my life. Everything is sustainably sourced.
They have lots of exotic meat options and 3 different veggie burgers as well.
A huge beverage selection with lots of great local beers. Our server was fantastic and took excellent care of us. Truly an amazing experience. We will definitely be back.
Taylor Michael
One of my favorite local restaurants! This quaint place offers an excellent selection on various "game". I love getting the meatballs so I can try various ones even though I already know which are my favs! The corn is melt in your mouth flavorful and worth getting the kernels stuck in your teeth for. Finally I always get 2 sides of fries; one truffle and one duck fat. It's just too hard to choose the best one! There is a large selection of beer and bourbon. They do have wine but my only suggestion would be to add a few more semi-sweet options. When guests from out of town ask where to go, this is a definite recommendation. Oh, and did I mention the service has always been excellent!
RX Productions
Always an amazing experience. The service was great and the food was even better. We had 10 people for a Bday dinner. No problem with seating. My kids tried the frog legs and loved them. I was thrilled with my wild boar burger and my wife loved her meatball sampler. All of our friends had great things to say about their dishes as well.
Teng Lor
Amazing place! We got just about everything on the menu, besides the burger. The meatball sampler were great! So many good food here. Down to the S'more and Snicker cake! Our server was attentive and nice.
David Slayback
Had a great experience here! We came for lunchtime because I really like to try different meats. I got a meatball sampler ($3 for each because it was Monday) with elk, venison, boar, and alpaca. Liked them all, but really loved the venison! The truffle mayo and cranberry jam they came with was amazing, as was the grilled corn I ordered. The fries my aunt got with her burger were also quite good, thin and crispy!
If you want to try something new, I definitely recommend the place. Tasty food, good portions, quick and friendly service.
Michelle Riggs
First time visit. It was just fair. Mac and cheese was awful. Dry. Needed cream and cheese. Server was nice. Might try again one day.
Adalie Gossman
YUM!
I'm not sure what else to say! Everything we had was excellent. The scotch eggs with Pork Belly. The Bison Burger, the Wagu Burger, and the meatball samplers were all excellent.
The service was prompt and friendly. The server gave good recommendations and was not put off in the least with all of our questions.
Paula Parsons
The food was delicious, prepared . Staff very pleasant.
Christian Reyes
Beer is good food is even better. I got the rabbit chef recommendation and the flat bread. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Jessica Gaines
Well, that was the best burger I've ever had in my life. I "built my own" burger using lamb, an egg, sauteed mushrooms and onions, with a side of mayo. I couldn't bring myself to use the mayo! It was TOO good to use the mayo. I never thought I'd say that in my life. This is my new favorite restaurant in town. And the sweet potato fries were really good and my side of asparagus was also the best asparagus I've ever had. I want to go back. Now.
Steve Ambs
As a deer hunter, I really enjoy my venison. Recently heard about this place & had to try it. There are quite a few different types of wild game you can try, as well as 2 traditional types of beef. I chose an elk burger & it was cooked to order & simply delicious. I think it was $13. Two others in our group tried the venison & bison, both said it was very good. Another of our group tried the alpaca & highly recommended it. My wife had the wagyu beef (Japanese beef) & thoroughly enjoyed it. At $18 it was pricey but she said it was easily the best beef burger she had ever had. Unfortunately, no one tried the kangaroo. There is also a small bar here. It's not a big restaurant but it is clean. The server was very helpful & explained the menu, especially the types of meats & the different sauces. I'll be going again soon.
Laura Samples
Absolutely phenomenal food! We had such a great experience. My husband had the Wagyu burger and fries cooked in duck fat, burger was top three he's ever had. I had the seasonal salad and mac and cheese. Both were delicious. Good beer selection and excellent food.
Zephaniah 1v3
Very unique menu, but extremely good. I had the bone marrow, frog legs, and scotch eggs. Also create your own burger. Very pleased with my meal and with customer service. Also I wasn't judge by my outward appearance. Great place.
Maureen Royé
So delicious! My husband and a few friends and I tried this out for the first time a few weeks ago. I had the wild boar burger, and the waitress recommended that I try it on a pretzel bun, which was incredible! We split one basket of truffle oil fries (my favorite!) and one basket of duck fat-fried fries (my husband's favorite) between the 4 of us, which was just enough. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped guide our picky eater friend in the right direction to try something new without going too crazy. The presentation of the food was great, and we were stuffed when we left! The restaurant is small, but we went on a weeknight and were seated right away. The only - small - critique is that the drink menu is made primarily of beers and a very small wine selection. I'm not a beer drinker, and think that a few well-crafted cocktails would make this the perfect burger menu!
Jeanette Jiricek
Great variety of proteins to pick from, good portion sizes, and wait staff is very friendly and helpful! This was my first time in Louisville. I tried the alpaca burger, and I won't go anywhere else for a burger now. It was well prepared, seasoned, and tasted delicious!
Sara Thurman
I have always loved this place, and I’m so happy I am still able to get it at this moment in time. I got a fried green tomato veggie sandwich, mac n cheese, and sweet potato fries and it was exceptional. The girl let me pay over the phone and brought it to me when I arrived. 10/10 will continue to order from them during quarantine, and also in real life. Support local folks.
Joshua Robinson
I recently went back to Game after a couple of years. The food, while on the expensive side, is still delicious and unique. There isn't another place in Louisville that you can get a kangaroo burger as far as I know, and I definitely recommend it. Their beer selection is excellent. They have also made improvements to the tables and the patio area so it is much nicer than it used to be. If you are looking for a new and interesting food experience, Game should be at the top of your list.
Doug Schuble
My son & I had lunch at Wild Game Burgers today. Truly an enjoyable experience. Thanks for your patience, Addy. My 1st visit so I'll be back with my other son.
My son ate a Wagyu hamburger with pepper jack cheese, a side of fries and asparagus. Delicious!
I ate an Angus hamburger with pepperjack cheese, a slice of pineapple, cranberry-jalepeneo jam sauce, half a seasonal salad, and a piece of "chocolate cake" that had the consistency of a double-thick, rich pudding... heavenly!
Dylan Johnson
The service was great and guided us through the menu. Meatball appetizers let you sample the different choices before ordering a burger. The duck fat fries were a highlight, but at the end of the meal, it is fairly extensive for a burger, even if it is made with exotic game meats.
Mary Jo Gardner
The on line info said it was fine dining. Wrong. It was rustic. Jean's and t-shirt kind of place. Little to no parking. Food was served on a slab of raw wood. When I cut my burger into, the red juice ran onto the wood. Which I didn't like, wasn'very sanitary. We ordered 5 of the various meat choices all were good. Some were a little over cooked. I got the bison burger cooked less than med. it was very good. My friends had elk, duck , kangroo. They liked all their choices. Service was very good. We would visit there again.
sahar Maddah
The burgers are always seasoned beautifully and taste delicious. I've had their kangaroo, alpaca, bison, and wild boar; each quite tasty. Some of their appetizers are overpriced for the quantity you get but I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy.
April Panda
My only complaint is I wish they offered more steak options instead of just burger options. Would love a roo steak. But still if you have never been this place is awesome to try meat not offered elsewhere
Jason Zoeller
Definitely recommend. Best way to eat is to get a few different meatballs, venturing away from the standard beef, and then order your burger from what you liked. Their chef designed burger flavored are excellent and their sauces are AMAZING. Only complaint is that the place is super tiny so getting a table can be a pain - plus half the seating is patio so during these hot summer nights, that's not enjoyable.
Anna
Food is excellent! Service always friendly. Truffle mayo & bone marrow aioli are delicious. Love trying various proteins...elk, bison, kangaroo, duck, alpaca, etc!
Samantha McAllister
The atmosphere is very cool and laid back. There is indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of beers to choose from different styles and around the world but also known ones. The food is very unique but always good. So far I've had the elk, lamb, alpaca and kangaroo. All amazing. FYI though, if the server asks you if you want to go with the chef's recommendation or just how it's usually served. Do how it's usually served. You get charged 1.50 for each recommendation. I mean. It is just 1.50 each. But this place is a little expensive. Not terrible either. But one person having an appetizer, a beer or two and the meal. Probably looking at 35-40.
Yuri
Excellent stop for the carnivores out there. Recommend trying their meatballs, and the bison burger.
Terry Sedmak
The service was excellent and the food was even better. Could not have asked for more. I will be returning to eat here again.
Dee Loko
Everything is great if you like different meat appetizers bone marrow is on point go check it reasonable prices
Josephine Welch
Game is a great gem not far out of downtown Louisville. I would highly recommend taking a trip here for lunch or dinner if you’re in the mood for extraordinary burgers. Exotic meats in burgers and meatballs, great appetizers, and a solid drink menu. Service was fantastic. All in all I’d highly recommend.
Joey McAlexander
Cool concept, nice vibe of the place. I sat at the bar and Bryan was great. All the meat is ground hamburger style and I think that's a drawback. I had the kangaroo and it was good but just tasted like a hamburger. If I'm eating exotic wild game then I want a slab of meat on my plate caveman style. It also preserves the flavor and keeps everything from tasting like hamburger. The other major drawback was that it took forever to get my food. Way longer than it should for a hamburger.
Aly Stamper
Never had anything like Game before.
Good - Quality of food, presentation, experience and staff.
Bad - Lack of parking
This is a really cool place to try for something new. Its a smaller building with a covered patio. It doesn't look like a whole lot front he inside but the food is amazing. The quality of food, presentation, and service is great.
We went with friends of ours and shared the meatball apps. We had Boar, Kangaroo, Venison, and I think Elk? They were all good. The Kangaroo was especially good. My husband ordered a Kangaroo burger because he loved it so much. I ordered the Quinoa burger. It came with some really great sauce (I forget what it is) Very yummy and flavorful.
They also had a pear cider which is not easy to come by.
When we arrived it wasn't dead but it wasn't by any means slammed and we had to park across the street due to a small parking lot.
Tyler Poore
Really amazing burger. By far one of my favorites on my search for the perfect burger in Louisville. The service was stellar, the draft list was excellent, and our burgers came it perfect.
You've got to get the duck fries. The duck fries are to die for.
tyra heath
Wow so amazing!!! Our family had a beautiful time
Wonderful staff …
We are “foodies” an this place was so real an done perfectly… thank you for all you do !! HEATH FAMILY 8/20/21 dinner was the best we will be back zero complaints
don griffith
Can't miss going here. We go by every time we visit Louisville. Wide variety of exotic burgers. Such as kangaroo, elk, wild boar. You can also get meatball sampler which is a great way to try them all. They have the best sweet potato fries and one of the best salads you will get anywhere.
Nicole
Love. this. place. Try the wild boar burger with cranberry jalapeno jam and smoked truffle mayo! You can order meatballs to start, as an opportunity to taste a few meats before committing to a whole burger. My second favorite is kangaroo, but really everything was amazing. You can't go wrong.
AN W
Love the friendly helpful staff, nice atmosphere. If you've never been here I suggest starting off with a trio meat sampler to discover what you love. I took a gamble trying wild boar, and it was amazing. I ordered a boar burger with smoked truffle mayo and jam It was the best burger I've ever had.
DeWayne Moore
The service was outstanding. Bryce couldn't have been a better waiter and I can't remember the lady name that helped him but she was great as well. The food was perfect. This was my second time at this restaurant at believe me it will be a 3rd.
Nathan Runtas
This place has food that is pretty unimaginable. A unique menu and appetizers really elevate above the average resturant in Louisville. The staff are friendly and pretty quick. The atmosphere fits the place pretty well and it's clean. Prices right about what you would expect. Only problem you will run in to here is how busy the place is.
bdriving1
Absolutely delish! Try all the meatballs! Everything is fresh and good!
Pam Wallace
Unique and original and yet a casual environment. Meatball sampler is a great way to get a taste without ordering the wrong burger! 2nd visit as good as the 1st! They had a power outage that effected the whole block and they were accommodating to the best of their ability, wonderful staff! We will be back!
Adrien Kooyman
My love and I ventured outside the norm. We tried the bone marrow appetizer, Elk meatballs, and kangaroo burger. I couldn't get enough. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food is very gourmet and refined. Excellent flavors paired perfectly for each game meat. Instant favorite restaurant for my family. Thank you, Game. I can't wait to return and dine on some antelope!
Eric Anderson
I honestly wish I could have given it 5 stars... The food was delicious and outstanding. The service was not all that. My server did not once ask if we needed a refill on drinks, and did not seem to be very friendly at all. She was not rude, just distant... Kinda like she was uppity or thought she was better than us. Overall, I will be going back. Not with my buddy, like this visit... but next time with my 11 year old daughter. Hopefully we will be treated better.
Kelsey Mix
Food is always delicious and the service is great. On the expensive side though, we spent $90 for two people for an appetizer, two beers and 2 burgers. Wagyu burger came out super over-seasoned but they offered to make it right and the replacement was delicious. The truffle and duck-fat fries are definitely a must have. If you aren't sure about the meat, I would definitely recommend getting a meatball and trying it out beforehand. We come here every year on my BFs birthday and are never disappointed. I would come right at 5:00 as seating is limited and they don't do call ahead seating.
Drake H
Phenomenal local burger bar. We had the bison and wild boar and were very impressed. The beer selection was excellent and priced perfectly. The burgers are pricey but worth every dime. Despite us arriving 40 minutes before closing we had excellent service. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Alexis Wallace
Such a great experience! I loved the meatballs that you can order in all the game options! (alpaca is awesome) We also had the amazing venison burger and they have a wide variety of beer!
Cindy Hutter
Went here for a birthday get together. First off there are probably about 8 parking spots and they are parallel. Porch area has about 6 tables, inside maybe 10. The burgers are really good though and the fresh cut fries are the bomb! Pretty pricey but for exotic meat its expected. We sampled elk, kangaroo and boar meatballs, shared a huge portion of the biggest froglegs I've ever seen, and split our burgers with each other. Only one desert option which was a smores desert. Get there early or you'll wait awhile to he seated. Staff is great. Only wish they were at a larger place with a real parking lot.
greg kelley
If you are in the mood for exotic meats, this is the place to go. The Kangaroo, Wild boar, and elk burgers were amazing. Very kind and courteous wait staff.
Joe Crawhorn
No matter if you have the taste for the exotic, or prefer to stay traditional with beef, Game has some of the best burgers in town, two of my top three of all time comes from this modest little establishment. With selections of meat including aged beef, alpaca, wild boar, and such they have a burger to fit any taste.
If you get the opportunity (they sell out quickly) to try the kangaroo burger, it's a must. By far the best burger I've ever had. In fact, the kangaroo burger with tomato jam, and duck fat fries pretty much secured me a promotion, over one lunch with senior corporate management, with all visiting parties claiming at worst it was in the top 5 burgers they'd ever had the pleasure to eat. It's not just comfort food, it's life improvement food, lol.
Kenny Hensley
Service was ok food was excellent! Definitely worth a return trip! Awesome menu.
Wolf Revels
Despite having my drink run dry for too long. Twice. The bone marrow being undercooked, and my elk burger being overcooked. Twice.I really enjoyed the flavor combinations they have created here. Cooking game is tricky. It often cooks much faster than beef. It seemed tonight's cook hadn't quite worked that out yet. Also adding one more server on the weekend might not be bad as mine was constantly on the run and unable to quite keep up with all the tables I could see her working. However, we plan to come give them another try. Because the flavors are inspired, the server was hardworking and friendly, and everyone has an off night.
Reby Revell
Ridiculous awesome place with an awesome menu!! Great food!
James Mckinney
Took a day trip to Louisville and gave this place a shot. Soooo glad we did! The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was the first time ever having Wagyu beef, and it was the BEST burger I ever had in my life. I don't mind traveling for real good food, so we DEFINITELY will be back!
Charles Cooper
Always a fan of exotic meat and they do a pretty good job here! Had a flight of meat balls which were great but the duck fat fries stole the show!
Gary P Guthrie
I have absolutely fallen in love with this place. the variety of meats, the selection of beers, the oh my God size and taste of a serving of french fries, the aioli mayonnaise preserves, on and on and on are just remarkable. Get the grilled veggies if they're available.
Oh, I almost forgot the salad -- get the salad by all means. The only two things I might pass on are the grilled Caesar and the bone marrow. Not the best value on the menu.
Jerry Byerly
Excellent food! I've been two times in the past month. Both times have not been a disappointment.
Janelle Powers
The best burger you'll ever have! Their wide range of "game" is an awesome experience, and any burger you get will be juicy and full of flavor. Their truffle oil fries are the so good! I am gluten-free, and going to Game is super simple just subbing out the bun for lettuce. This is a must when you're in Louisville.
Gabe Seidman
I stopped by there other restaurant Hammerheads and it was amazing so I expected the same here. Which I got ,everything was amazing!!! You have to try the scotch egg. The fries were the only thing mediocre . In the service department everything was top notch. In conclusion This is one of the best resturaunts in Louisville .
C V
Great experience here. The place gets very busy so be prepared to wait, just k ow that it is worth it. Nice variety of different meats to choose from. Juicy and cooked fresh. One of the sister restaurants to Hammerheads. You won't be disappointed!
Geri Ortiz
Second time was even better than the last, I picked the meatballs and got 4 different ones and each one was delicious. Had the Alpaca, Kangaroo, Wild Boar and Waygu beef topped it with a garlic aioli and brie cheese with a side of duck fat fries and wish I would have taken a picture but started to eat as soon as it hit the table and didn't stop.
travis stroud
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! I got the Elk burger. I'll definitely be back!
Cierra Waide
Amazing place to eat!
Gloria Smith
First timers from out of state. We really enjoyed putting together the perfect burgers. We chose waygu and bison. Cooked perfect..and the sweet potatoes fries were yummy. Lots of food. Our waiter was Hunter. He was funny..entertaining and very attentive. Thanks for an amazing experience.
Antonio Profumo
Overall, I really like this place. The food is great! The mac'n'cheese & roasted corn...fantastic. The burgers, equally as good. Even the selection of beer & lagers, etc. is quite nice. Though the parking is rather slim-pickins'. And the wait time for a table, during the busy time, can also be lengthy. Oh well.
Trumpetto31
My boyfriend and I love trying new things, and hamburgers are at the top of the list of our favorite foods, so coming here was a no brainer! We ordered the kangaroo burger, alpaca burger, and a basket of fries cooked in truffle oil. PLEASE! Get the fries cooked in the truffle oil! It is an additional $2, but it is SOOOO worth it! I love potatoes, and fries are typically my go-to, but these are LITERALLY the best fries I have ever had! The burger...please try the alpaca! It is sooo moist, and the toppings are perfect. I would recommend ordering it as is and try not to personalize it. The waiter was also very friendly and attentive to us. It was a great experience and would definitely return! The ONLY downside is the parking. It is pretty tight with a lot of parallel parking, but to eat here, it is worth it!
Timothy Baxendale
Atmosphere is good, beer is good, meat is pretty good. Meatballs were ever so raw in the middle which affects texture. Also a bit less seasoning in the meatballs as they ended up very salty and hard to differentiate as a result. Smore dessert thing is quite good, but very filling.
Noelle Raque
The food is good. I liked the sweet potato fries, venison burger, bone marrow appetizer. The ceiling had visible holes and water dripping down from them. The booth seats where we sat at were ripped, not for decorative. I watched and waited for the water to hit the guy behind us. This place could use indoor updates. I was shocked.
Spiritjoe rr
I started going to Game twice a week. The food was consistently good. The past couple of months it has not been well prepared. Meat overcooked vegetable portions and quality not consistent.
Richard Shoemaker
Wanted to try the kangaroo burgwr but they were all out. So I had the bison burger instead. It was outstanding. Wife had the Angus burger which was also outstanding. We had the duck fat French fries with the burgers which were amazing. For an appetizer we had the frog legs. Great experience for some new louvillians.
Robert McLeod
Birthday work meeting...
Staff was amazingly friendly. Food was out of the world. Alcohol selection is very unique. They gave us samples of the things we didn't understand. No one seemed to mind that we spent the entire time laughing and having fun in a loud/silly manner!!!
Love love love this place!!!
Jennifer Carroll
The alpaca burger was extremely juicy and had a sweetness to the meat. Lots of fresh toppings to pick from. Service was speedy and attentive. Definitely will be back to try another kind of meat.
Brittany Sloan
Awesome place to try some interesting selections of meat. Tiny parking lot and few tables made the wait fairly long, but it was also 630 on a Saturday night. Great beer selection also. Had a few issues with service initially but our waitress more than made up for it.
Stacey Morse
Go here instead of the Brazillian place if you have the chance. I may purposely find my way back to Louisville just to eat at Game again. My slight disappointment they ran out of Kangaroo that day, though, can't blame them it was a con-weekend. I still think about the bone marrow app it was deliciously delectable. Between three adults we shared one of each of the meat(balls) a couple apps, and two burgers was more than enough to get our fill of the various meats available.
Mick Asuncion
I love the exotic protein burgers.
Rachel
My family and I all agree that these burgers are the best we’ve ever had. I’ve been a few times and it’s delicious every time. We will definitely be back!
Nick Hellmich
Great burgers and fries and beer selection. Cool covered patio is nice in the summer. The bone marrow appetizer is fantastic you should try it. Good fries. Great service cool peoples.
Dianna Kennedy
Stopped in for date night, and I was a wee bit weirded out. Tried the alpaca chili, which was DELICIOUS! Friendly staff, large beer/wine/bourbon selection. I'd love to see options for vodka and rum, too. Overall, fantastic dinner.
Gwen Fox
Overall ok. A little pricey since sides are extra. Salad was wilted so could only eat half of it. We have been several times and plan on going back but normally just once a year or so. It is not at the great level where we go more often than that.
Bill James
This was our 2nd experience at Game and we couldn't have had a more enjoyable meal. We went early Saturday and were seated immediately. The frog legs and bone marrow are our favorite starters. The elk, wild boar and kangaroo to finish us off... just to name a FEW that we love. Thank you. We will see you again soon.
Joshua Cormney
So let's start with the positive, the price is great for what you're getting. That being said I don't think the meat was seasoned very well and some of the meatballs were very dry and overcooked but overall was good. The spread they put under the meatballs was delicious! When we arrived there were plenty of open tables yet it took almost 15 minutes before anyone decided to approach the table even though they had plenty of staff standing around. When someone did come they brought giant cups of water then asked if we wanted anything besides the water. Considering the table size there would be no room for much more than the food. There is extremely limited seating and the parking is even worse. If you plan on trying this place out I advise checking what the popular times are and avoid them unless you enjoy driving circles around a building and hope a spot opens.
John W
Went here with a large group, the service was great. The food is definitely amazing, worth going back and trying other items off the menu. If you want to stay with somthing simple in the way of meat or go exotic they have somthing that your palate will enjoy!
Bobby Bradley
I can't recommend this place enough. The alpaca burger (with the menu suggested toppings) was probably the best burger I've ever had. White cheddar mac and cheese was also a fantastic side. Also be sure to check out their two sister restaurants.
lindsey yanke
This was my first time visiting Game and I was very pleased. Our server, cory was amazing and recommended the pork belly app which was FANTASTIC. Then i got the waygu burger and the boyfriend got the kangaroo which is the most popular and i quickly found out why. The waygu is Australian which isn't as good as japanese but it was decent. I love the atmosphere and the whole concept itself!
Andrew Nelle
Easily one of the best burger joints in Lousiville! You can build your own burger. Bean burger is off the charts! Multiple meats and cheeses and toppings available. I highly recommend this spot 😎👍🇺🇸 …
Shannon G
This was a 5 star just a year ago but I guess things can't stay great forever. We were still onboard after price increases a year or two back. Still a fan of the fresh pickles, grilled corn (why don't you still call it Elota), and hand cut fries in truffle oil and duck fat (I prefer the thinner fries than at Hammerheads). But tonight, the Prime Angus tasted very salty, but was juicy and cooked well.
As for the service and atmosphere this is where there was the biggest drop for me. We always anticipate a wait because we know it's a small place and everything is made to order, and usually don't mind a 25 minute wait, but wish small places like this would take a page out of Highland Morning St. Matthews playbook and get our phone number to call us when the table is ready. That way, since there really isn't a good place to wait, we aren't standing over someone else's table staring at people, nor being stared at and stood over at our own table. We can head outside or wait in our cars.
Slower service and much less friendly staff than ever before. Only saw one familiar face all night. One server swore he had just taken a couple their waters, which I saw him doing when we first arrived and he hadn't been back when they sat us 10 minutes later (remember how I said their was nothing to do but state before...). Of course, the couple waiting to have their order taken left without ordering - can't blame them. The server swears the couple just weren't patient, but should possibly practice his own time management and not loudly criticize customers for showing him how great his service is.
Perhaps it was just the B staff on the clock tonight because of Bourbon & Beyond, but not likely to return anytime soon to pay premium prices for very lackluster service.
DAVID WORSHAM
Great food! Service was on point as well. Inside the restaurant was really neatly decorated. Interesting meat options but I really would like to try a lot of those meats not grounded up.
Flee Flee-
The wagyu burgers were great. I wasn't too fond of the scotch eggs as they were speckled with spots from what looked like mold. I would come back for the burger though.
Everton kkg
The experience is more so for the idea of eating some unique things rather than having a meal. It's a fun place to go occasionally with a group of friends but I wouldn't recommend it for a date or as a regular dinner joint.
thecaptain64
A good selection of game meats at reasonable prices. The service and atmosphere are great.
Rakesh Gadde
A carnivore's delight! Scotch eggs w/ pork belly and bison tongue sliders were my decisions of the night. Every piece of meat was cooked well and went down easy. Took a while to get beers but otherwise great experience overall.
Larry Ray Reed
Anytime I'm in town, this place gets a visit. Their burgers are really unique and the different meats just add to this place being one-of-a-kind. I'd recommend the scotch eggs and anything with the cranberry-jalepeno jam.
Chris Doughty
Wild bore, kangaroo, elk and bone marrow, yummy.
Seth Baklor
Best hamburger I've ever had. Duck fat fries are incredible too. Much of the food is similar to Hammerhead's (same owners), but with a slightly more convenient and calm sit down restaurant setup.
alex mendelsberg
Had the kangaroo burger, it was great. Not greasy, just right. However if your expecting it to taste "exotic" don't hold your tongue , as it tastes a lot like beef lol
Justin Krauser
Absolutely satisfied last evening. Everyone was warm and inviting. Admired the small family atmosphere. Having a severe dairy allergy, eating out becomes a chore sometimes due to ignorance. The staff was knowledgeable of my allergy and was able to dine freely without any angst. Pleasantly surprised. Oh and the flavors we're to die for, well done I say. Will be returning soon.
Dylan Vish
This is a great little restaurant that allows the customer to choose their own mean. And the meats vary like deer, kangaroo, Angus beef, and many others. Furthermore, you can also customize your toppings with free ones like cheese, type of bread, lettuce and the usual but also add "extras" such as an egg, alphalpha and other premium toppings. It also has a nice bar with some fun bartenders. The place is small with a cabin like feel. It can't really handle large groups very well. The only downside would be the price; the cost was pretty high for only a burger, but it was a good burger!
ds99701
Great place for something out of the ordinary. I had the Boar Burger and it was very full of flavor. Try the bone marrow appetizer, super rich and creamy, and spread on some thick crusty bread. Yum.
Michael Blair
It was my first time there. The meatballs are a great way to test the different flavors and meats. Great food and the service was great as well. Definitely going to be going back to try more!!
Scott Hicks
Excellent burger joint with many unique meat options. Also has several vegetarian options. Always has friendly staff.
Joshua Heringer
Had the kandgaroo burger and it was amazing. Order it as is on the menu tye tomato jelly was a great addition.
Jonathan Brown
We liked this restaurant and the burgers were really good. I like that you can get burgers with different types of meat and options. the service was friendly and quick. Try the duck fat fries, They were excellent!
Michael Portwood
My wife brought me here for my birthday. The food was great. We tried the Scotch eggs and a meatballs sampler for starters. The service and beverage selection was very good.
David Phillips
This is one of the best places to get a burger. Especially if you want to try some more exotic meats. If you're iffy on trying a new may meat and don't want to commit to getting a full on burger try their meatballs to see if you like it. Their duck fat fried fries are always great. Everytime I've gone service has been prompt and spot on with their recomendations.
Lastly, if you get the chance to try the bone marrow mayo give it a go. It is definitely something that should be given a shot.
The limited parking is a pain to deal with but in the end it's ultimately worth it.
Sean Donnahoe
Tried the Angus on Pretzel Bun, Brie, Sauteed onions and Portobello mushrooms. The burger was very juicy and delicious. Cooked to perfection.
Highly recommend this place. Don't let the exotic meats scare you from trying it out. They have angus beef for those who are skittish.
Jack Griffin
We have dined many times at Game and never been disappointed. The kangaroo and sweet potato fries are my favorite. We've always had prompt, good service from the staff at Game.
Andrew McDaniel
Everything was delicious! We found this place on vacation and we live 5 hrs away but have already made plans to go back.
Brandon Bacci
Menu was a bit small and it didn't really have many gluten free options for me, but I enjoyed my order and it was fascinating.
D Dickerman
Ok a bit over priced small burger but tastie good service kinda pushy but being in the industry i know!! Meat balls a bit dry but great sauce still a bit over cooked well done for 2 out of 3!! Its still a must try i will go back!!
David Hastings
My expectations were higher than the food was. We had Elk, Kangaroo, Bison and Alpaca. It was good, but the meat kind of tasted all the same.
Jon Whitesides
Awesome food. Great service.
Joshua Nixon
Kangaroo burger was legit. They add fat to it as it is so lean. Staff was awesome and changed it to the game for me. I had the wild boar, elk, and Alpaca meatballs and they came with a truffle mayonnaise and a cranberry jalopeno jam. Everything was well cooked and tasted amazeballs!
John Pacyga
Waitress was helpful in describing options not normally found on most menus. We all tried a variety of meats but agreed the best of our four was venison burger.
Nad Fink
Ordered a burger well done, it was half well done, half pink. Not sure how you manage that, maybe the burger was half hanging off the pan. Also, the burger had so much seasoning, it's hard to taste the flavor of the meat.
Brenton Freeman
This was such a great experience!! Everyone was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu it was very personable and we even got to meet Tim the owner. We are definitely going to go again. Try the Camel !!
Allison H.
Absolutely amazing. The food came out fast and delicious, the waitress was kind, refilled our drinks fast, and explained the menu items well and the atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is it would be nicer if they had better parking.
Lauren Clark
As a vegetarian with an adventurous meat eating husband, this was the perfect restaurant for us. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and attentive. Absolutely recommended.
There isn’t much space for parking in the lot, and it’s not possible to street park here so plan accordingly.
Daniel Jaggers
This was my second visit, both times I had a server named Corey who was awesome at explaining everything. Not one question caught him off guard and he was patient with our disisons as well. All of the food came out perfectly cooked, hot, fresh and nicely plated. Will be back again for sure 5 out of 5 no joke, try it!
Colton Wood
They were out of kangaroo the night I went, but everything else was awesome. A little pricey, but you get some great food (and service). I would suggest trying a few different meatballs and getting the duck fat fries!
Meg Weathers
I had the kangaroo burger here which was amazing, as well as a side of pretty good fries. We're only visiting for a few days but I want to go back!
Neal Bradleigh
Participated in the BurgerWeek promotion. The Angus Burger was PERFECT (a delicious variation, with cranberry sauce spread to mingle with the other flavors)!
Steven Kelly
The service was good, the food was fantastic, we were checked on often by our waiter. If you go I would recommend getting there early. They do not have many tables and they filled up quickly.
Henderson Jones
Busy spot for Burger Week. Featured burgers were delicious.
Warlord Ghandi
The food was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. I stayed a bit after to talk to my date and (I think) the owner stopped his car and checked on us before leaving for the night. Im impressed!
Moira O'Sommerchan
I LOVE going to Game. We have been here a couple of times and I just enjoy the entire atmosphere. The servers are fast, friendly, and the food is always cooked perfectly and delicious.
Doug Watson
Fantastic selection of rare (hard to find) meats
Good prices for what you get. Haven't been there try the meatball sampler. It fed 2 adults and 2 more. Awesome!
Stack Mack
Yea, if your feeling adventures go Game. Elk is great, Kangaroo is exotic, and bone marrow is better than expected. Recomend the duck fat sweet potato fries. Good beer selection to boot. Wear plaid.
Charlie Patton
Probably our favorite overall in Louisville. Go for the Scotch Eggs! Also anything with truffle oil. Wild boar burger is our standby, but I love the Duck as well.
Samantha Eberhart
Top notch service and the food was amazing!! I tried the alpaca and kangaroo meatballs. So yummy! Glad they have the meatball appetizer so you can try things you normally wouldn't!
Nawaf Alwazzan
Great food, cabin vibe. Definitely a must visit for meat lovers. Even the fries taste different because of the oil it's cooked in. Please arrive hungry!
Evan Heston
This restaurant it an awesome place to go eat!so tasty and always good service! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it's just slightly on the pricey side and also a lot of the different game burgers taste pretty similar which raises some questions on if it's actually what they say it is?? Other than that I love this place!
Anton Blignaut
Amazing. The first time I ate here was a year or so ago. My buddy stopped by on a day triap to meet Neal Adams for lunch and were amazed by the food (I had a kangaroo burger, delicious and Australian).
Briston Hatchell
Great flavors. Too many meats the taste the same. I don't know anyone who could discern between bison and elk meatballs. Beer was not cold .
Chelsea Nielsen
Best restaurant I've been to this year! We were extraordinarily happy with everything we ordered and our server was charming and helpful. The Scotch Eggs are life changing. Enjoy.
B. Freeman
I took my family to Game, wife, daughter, my son, his wife and my granddaughter. It was absolutely Amazing! The food was delicious. Service was impeccable. I recommend you go.
TIFFANY BOP
THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! OUR SERVER, HUNTER WAS AMAZING!
Bellevue Brad
Well the food is great but the staff seemed bored. Didn't really do much when they weren't busy. The servers were busy but the lady behind the bar just stood there not cleaning or moving.
Claire Stingray
Fantastic spot, absolutely one of the best burger places I've ever been to if not the best. The selection of meats is great as is the beer list.
Tiffany Oester (Chicky Chick)
First time there tonight and it was AMAZING!!! My son lives on chicken strip and he ate bison, kangaroo, rabbit and wagyu... the place was cute and clean, the staff was great and very helpful!!!
Adam Schmidt
Came to Louisville for the first time in 2 years and this is the first place we came. Fantastic as always, and they've expanded the menu and meat options a lot too!
Easton Depp
My favorite restaurant in Louisville. The distinct but delicious menu is complemented by the varied craft beer selection. This is one of the first places I bring my Louisville guests.
Jay Bird
Awesome food and staff goes out of the way to please you. Wagyu was awesome and the sweet meat of alpaca blew me away. I will be making another YouTube video there soon
Derek Music
Food was FIRE!🔥🔥🔥 Full menu of all kinds of mouth watering game bites. Gourmet burgers, and try a meat ball of something you've never had. I will absolutely be back! …
Maggie Noffke
We really like Game. We are no doubt opinionated 're ordering ("always a 'topping' of pork belly and always FRIES") bit it's never let us down. Relaxed, fun, build-your-burger kind of place.
Greg Ellis
I am a plant based eater, not strictly vegetarian or vegan, but I seldom eat dairy, or meat. Every once in a while my body says "yo, maybe eat a little meat?" and I say "na, i'm good", and then sometimes my body says "dude, for real, you need to top dress with some super fire amendments to the soil composition that is your body" and I say "OK, fine!". and this year I went to GAME.
So flippin' delicious. I got the Elk Burger (chefs recommendation) and it was flaaaame. I don't normally do cheese but the cheese on there was just the right amount (idk what kind it was but looked like Brie). I ate it so slow (which i never do) because it tasted like I was eating the cookie dough of burgers (in the best possible way). It was so sweet and savory and buttery and delicious and amazing I wanted to pull my knife from my boot and head down to the tranquil waters of BearGrassCreek to bag me a native Louisville Elk and have another (not saying this tasted like it came from BearGrassCreek but after the beast has awoke there's no telling what I will sink my fangs into).
I also got the fries.
We set on the deck with our dog and he loved the meat juice and BBQ sauce stained wood-- it kept him very entertained.
My girlfriend got the Caesar and she wasn't to say "enthralled" with her dish in comparison to mine-- it was several full romaine lettuce leafs that had been charred and topped with Caesar salad things-- and maybe it coulda been a bit bigger, or if not bigger than not on a block of wood cuz it looked small-ish-- but it was still dank AF.
Our server was way cool. He had a beard and a beanie and a flannel and I wish I could remember his name bc that description is, i believe, the dress code for the male servers there? But he broke down the menu beyond my requests and was super quick with everything.
Thank you GAME. Making vegetarians consider the flesh of living creatures is a feat when considering some of these snowflakey hybrid driving organic food eating "meat-is-fueling-climate-change" float tank people are pretty convinced eating plants is better for your body and the world.
~;-}
Peace.
Patrick Messenger
Was one of my favorite restaurants in town before switching to a plant based diet. And still is one of my favorites after. Great burgers for everyone and a laid back, casual atmosphere.
Brittany Vruwink
Great place. The Alpaca and wagyu meatballs were great. It was also nice to learn that alpaca is a very lean meat and fit well with my nutrition plan.
Michael Lotze
Unique menu, prepared to order. Weekend lunch was great. Small crowd and so service was on top of it. Atmosphere was relaxed and private.
Matthew Rogg
We have ordered many of the signature burgers in Louisville , the prime burger at game is at the top of our list . The taste of this burger and it's preparation is the reason we return again and again. Do not pass up ordering the scotch eggs also.
Di HL
The kangaroo meat was so perfect and the old fashion was amazing!! If I lived here it would be an every weekend stop! Y'ALL KEEP IT UP!
Christian Landry
Killing the game. HAHA! These guys are doing it right. Everything we had was on point. The meatballs were amazing and burgers are cooked to perfection. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend coming here and trying something out of the ordinary
Samantha Varrone
Great concept! Tasty, unique options and our server, Hunter, was tentative and kind! Would recommend for the adventurous eater!
Hasan A
That was amazing
Thank you
Matt Gvazdinskas
I'm not into all of the exotic meats but the angus burger is always perfect. The sweet potato fries are some of the best in town.
Jessika Flanary
Delicious and unique food. Great staff. I highly recommend this place if you want a typical burger or something completely unusual.
Hannah La Jeunesse
Had a delicious bison burger and fresh sweet potato fries. Would definitely come back to try their Smores tower for a fun evening out with my kiddos.
Jonathan Shaffer
Meat options like Japanese beef, kangaroo, bison etc. Delish.
Jesse Huber
Red meat, herbs and spices........can't beat that combo!!
David Costello
If you are a curious carnivore, this is the place for you. I highly recommend "Meatball Mondays". The service is outstanding. The bar is well stocked. Prices are reasonable.
Ed Moore
I didn't know what to think about a place that served kangaroo. I was swayed into trying "roo" and I was pleasantly surprised by this culinary delight. The elk and the bison were equally good as well. Check this place out.
Hyunchul Lee
I had a Kangaroo burger because I'm coming from Australia. Tastes like kangaroo that I've had before, although that's only a handful of times. Like the vibe and the setting.
Lauren Horner
Very good burger, but that's all they have. Something other than ground meat would be more interesting. I had the boar, and it was delicious!
Benjamin Wood
I tried kangaroo. It was like mom's meatloaf. I mean that in a good way, but it also left me with a sense of moral dread. My personal favorite is the wild boar burger.
Terry Hunt
Outstanding food with a cozy feel. Friendly staff.
Nick Lewis
If you ever wondered what eating meat that comes from animals that are not commonly consumed taste like, this is a great place to try things. They serv a wide variety of meat that isn't commonly found in most restaurants.
Jose Melgoza
It's considered by some to be on the edge but for Game it's just living. A must go to! Tried Elk, Venison, Bone Marrow, Duck, Wagyu, Alpaca with fries fried in Duck fat. Just in one sitting... Every bit of it plus service was excellent. Server Lauren K.
BRENT Joiner
Great place, great food, great service. The burgers were amazing. If you are in the area you should most definitely give it a try.
Brenda Victor
Best meat place I’ve ever been to! Such a great experience for my husband and I. We will be back - everything was delicious.
Angela McPherson
Service was great, fries were great. My burger was burnt on 1 side, over cooked when I had ordered med rare and was pretty bland (beef)
Lesley Manley
Great for traditional burgers with a exotic twist. Highly recommended the Kangaroo and wagyu burgers.
Brad Settles
Food was good but it seems as though stock can be a bit limited. Several items on the menu were unavailable when I went. It was also very crowded and the wait to get a table was long, I'd only really recommend for special occasions.
Linda Brewer
The bone marrow is excellent. I had alpaca and it was delicious. Our waitress was awesome. Love it there

If you're a meatarian you'll love it. Fun fact I learned tonight when asking why they didn't have a "traditional" burgoo... Did you know eating armadillo can cause leprosy? Weird fact I choose not to check. Also leave room for the s'mores for dessert.
Jeremy Neville
Was amazing... the kangaroo , wagyu, & boar meatballs are a must.
Laura Peyton
Their meatball sampler plate is an awesome way to check out all the great game meat they carry. Duck burgers are the best!
Joseph Lambert
Always great food. Meatball sampler before you order a meal can help choose a meat. Elk and alpaca are both great choices!
Mushfiqur Rahman

For meat lovers. I've been here a few times and have yet to have a meal that was less than excellent. Dont miss out on the scotch eggs and pork belly.

My boyfriend and I went there for my birthday, August 11th. It was my first time to eat there. I was blown away with their type of meats. I was so exciting. We ordered meat samplers which we had kangaroo, wild boar, alpaca, and waygu beef. Very good! Then we ordered sliders. We had wild Boar Chorizo, Bison Tongue, and Duck Confit. Also we ordered two basket of fries but they were fried in different oils. One was fried in truffle oil and other in duck fat. The overall of meals were delicious!
Nicholas Hayes
Delicious! Custom built Alpaca burger was fantastic with goat cheese. Lamb meatball was great. Presentation was great.
John J Jackson
I had 4 different kinds of meatballs. Wild boar, venison, alpaca, and elk. Overall they were ok, but I think I liked the boar most. The appetizer of scotch eggs were great, although it was made with the sausage around them but the pork belly was great. I really enjoyed the taste of the burger but it taste like they use onion soup mix in the meat. The bacon was ok but too thin. I would come back here for the scotch eggs alone.

The food was delicious and the beer selection great. The service was friendly and wonderful.
Really, the only flaw is the gas station quality rest room.

The food options are very unique. If you want some different flavors then they are the place for you. The prices are high but the atmosphere is like a pub.

Great place to try kangaroo, bison, lamb, and venison. There topping are well chosen to compliment the flavor instead over powering.

Fantastic food. I'm in love with the Wild Boar burger on a pretzel roll, duck fat fries, and scotch eggs (with pork belly slices).

This is one of our favorite go-to restaurants for incredible, out-of-the-ordinary foods. My picky 11-year-old even ate her weight in kangaroo!

Dylan Lear
Great food here. In addition to that, the interior design looks really cool. The issue that I had there was that the parking was extremely limited, in addition to it being crowded and loud there.
Phillip Allen
We had Alpaca and kangaroo meatballs that were delicious and wild boar and Elk burgers that were also very good.
anna smitterberg
The service was great, very friendly. And the burgers were amazing. Pricey but 100% worth it.

Very off-the-wall restaurant... the staff was very friendly and helpful and deciding what I should get (sadly they were out of kangaroo at the time I went) burgers were very good but they were really pricey DO NOT GE THE MEATBALLS I thought you get multiple meatballs but you only get 1 which is not very good for $3-$5
Renne Martinez
Fantastic food and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely go back and bring my family
Tom Hempfield
Been to this restaurant multiple times. Always a great meal and service.
