I can't say enough great things about this place, but will try. We had a group of 13 drop in for my son's bachelor party. I have been to places before with large groups where they are not super happy about the size of the group but this place was happy to see us and accommodate our group quickly even though busy. We sat outside on a beautiful night and our waitress was awesome, not only handle 13 of us but also training. The managers were always attentive making sure we are good. The pizza and other food ordered was outstanding, great flavor and the crust had the perfect crisp. The beer was cold and drinks were outstanding...did I say our waitress was outstanding!! When we were wrapping up dinner they had some live music starting so as we were finishing our drinks we starting singing to the music and we'll before long we had our tabs opened back up and stayed another 2 hours singing and dancing to the music. The managers loved that we were having a great time always checking in and laughing along with our nutty group. We had such an awesome night...made that way because again the food was great and the staff was incredible!!! This a must stop for food and great service...and hopefully run into some live music! Thanks to all the staff at Boombooz Pizza for helping make a night these boys talked about driving home and will always remember!! Sorry did not grab pictures of the food, too busy enjoying it!!

Ordered the New York pizza pie and the boom boom wings. Let me tell you it did not disappoint! I am picky about my pizza crust and I was not let down. The wings were fire and the ranch was perfectly creamy and tangy.

Pretty good, but there are better options nearby. I liked the salad and the meatball Parm. The calzone was a little weak. It was also a little too loud despite being mostly empty and one of the employees was walking around with a sweater wrapped around his head like a turban.

I stopped in yesterday on the last 3rd of a MONSTER ride and grabbed a table on the patio. MY server was soloing the patio area on a nice day, so in my mind she's already a hero. To say nothing of the fact that she still managed a few touches to check in on me. I was needing something that wouldn't give me The Itis (IYKYK), but would keep me from bonking, so I went with the toasted ravioli and about a gallon of Mountain Dew. If you've had a fried cheese stick you've got the idea. The ravioli had a nice bite, and the cheese was warm and melty. The marinara they paired is a perfect compliment. Great mid-day snack. Truly my only regret is not having had more time to sample more of the menu.

Went to this location July 30 2022 with my husband and our 3 girls after a very bad experience at another boombozz location. When I say this staff is amazing that is a total understatement. The staff at this location are so welcoming and family like right off the bat. Food was absolutely amazing and service was top notch. There was a live band that night and the atmosphere was to die for. If you want amazing food and to feel like you belong this place is where you go. Thank you to the whole staff working that night for your amazing service. We will definitely be back.

The food and service were great. Expect to spend at least $20 a person for any meal. We had a large Supreme pizza and a birthday canoli. The pizza's flavor was outstanding! Definitely one of the better pizzas in the area and worth the $22 for a large. The canoli was remarkable and highly recommended as a dessert. Of course the drinks are crazy expensive as they are everywhere now. Overall, this is a very nice place to eat occasionally. Of course we all know restaurants do have their bad days.

Great service, fast refills, hot food, check on us frequently but not so much as to be annoying. The pizza, Tater Kegs, Toasted Ravioli, and Mamma Meatz calzone were all really good. Will definitely eat here again!

It was such a nice place to have dinner. We are glad that even though we got in like an hour before to close, we were able to eat and enjoy without rush. We loved our server, unfortunately right now I don't remember his name, but I do remember how he made us feel. Thank you for the cookie as a birthday gift, our friend really liked it.

Food is good and service is great. Their priority of keeping guests comfortable with air conditioning is lacking. They tell us the thermostat is set to 65⁰ but it feels like 85⁰ and there is only one ceiling fan in the entire building.

Boobozz is your typical Louisville mainstay. Boobozz is a pizzeria and sports a one of a kind recipe that keeps it's seats full, night in and night out. Delivery can be had by ordering through the third party app Doordash. Have not been at all impressed with service from the closers though. Just sayin..

Delicious pizza, a little pricey. Boombozz knows how to make a pizza crust. The smokehouse brisket pizza is very tasty and a little greasy. The Margherita pizza is good, but not quite the classic margherita I was hoping for. The cookie with ice cream dessert is incredible and perfect for 2-3 people to share. The venue is nice overall. I could tell the bathroom was really nice at one time but hasn’t been kept up well.

I don't know why I've overlooked this place. We went there after a girls team event and everything they did would definitely have me back. The staff were excellent, the service very very good, and the food was tasty. The pizza, salads, and appetizers were great! I would definitely come back to Boombozz in the Highlands. It was probably some of the best service and food I've had in 2022.

My friend took us to this place and it was amazing!! Next time I'm in town this will be the first place I am going to. My most favorite pizza of all time! Can't wait to have it again. We have a Boombozz opening in my hometown soon and decided to check out what was coming. Sat at the bar and Rachel B took good care of me and got me started with a Bell’s White. Absolutely LOVE how they had a “race track” of a frozen place where you sit your beer to keep it cold!!! Tried the Tony’s Supremo and was not disappointed. The crust and was crispy and perfectly cooked while the ingredients on the pizza were fresh and tasty. Overall…a really good pizza!!! I added a side salad with their homemade balsamic vinaigrette…one of the BEST I’ve ever had…made me want to lick the plate clean!!! Can’t wait until the one locally opens.

The manager working on 16 Oct 2021 at 7 PM EST went above and beyond the call of duty and should be recognized! 5 stars because of him and him solely! Uber ended up grabbing and delivering the completely wrong order. When I let the manager know about my kids and them being super hungry not wanting to eat a vegetable only pizza that he immediately volunteered to not only correct the order but use his personal vehicle to deliver the pizzas himself to us. I told him how awesome that would be of him and how thankful that he is a such a good soul to take ownership and go above and beyond and deliver it himself. To my surprise when he got here he delivered not only the correct order but upgraded the size of 1 of our pizzas and added a cookie. I was so blown away absolutely 5 stars if could give more I would. Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you. Going to rave about this to all my friends and family 100. I hope his leadership sees this and does the right thing or at least his employees see it and are driven to emulate his values emotional intelligence and positive energy. Used it as a teaching lesson for my kids as well. It takes a tribe Thank you a million hope your night goes as well as you made ours plus some!

I'm not a big pizza eater because I'm very critical and picky about it. I had to order gluten-free, so I really wasn't expecting to be blown away like I was. The pizza was really great, and I suspect the gluten-free crust is better than their regular crust. It was amazing - less chewy and more crunchy, but in a good way. The toppings were really high quality too. The reason I gave it for stars and not five is because of the price. I was shocked at how much a 12-in with a few extras cost - 30 freakin dollars! So, is that the way it is nowadays? Ouch. Other than that, the staff was helpful and super nice, and the pie was fantastic.

Ordered on doordash, food came perfectly. I had the calzone, added ricotta and ham, is was excellent, for a minute I thought I was back in Jersey. Meatball sandwich was great as well, pretty close to nona's. Third time getting food here, all three times we were very happy. That's tough to find!

Great place! Came in to watch Sunday football and have some lunch, beers. Plenty of options on both. I sat at the bar and Landon was a great host! He was super busy but, never stopped running himself to make sure everyone was taken care of. All of the food was excellent. I'd recommend something with the garlic cream sauce. I will definitely be back my next time in town.

The restaurant is decorated nicely and the music here is great too! The waiters and servers are great as well. Safe for all ethnics. The only thing is that the wings and pretzels wasn’t that great. The wings were seasoned and the beer cheese that went with the pretzels were cold. Pizza is pretty good but I don’t see how it’s award winning enough but it was okay. Also there was something in my cup but they fixed that too but overall this place is nice!

Trying a new pizza was interesting. What a variety I've tryed. I wouldn't say their the best, but it was good , different, and pleasing. Some people may swear to it being in their neighborhood. At least they are trying, very clean place, could be noisy being a sports bar. But not a regular for me. Thanks for the great service.

Food, Service, and Beer was all excellent. I will go back again and again for the Pretzel Sticks with beer cheese, Buffalo Chicken and Tony's Supremo pies, and fried pretzel and ice cream dessert. We enjoyed the local beer selection with live music on the back porch. Our waiter Eli was great and on point with everything. Thanks for a great dinner.

This is a very good restaurant if you're looking for casual a pizza bar. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of their pizza but that's my preference. The service was excellent. Facilities were excellent. Building was very clean. Diners were seated far from other diners in respect of social distancing. Overall great restaurant, it's just not my type of pizza.

Delivery for DOORDASH. It seems that every time I show up, experience is one that I desire everywhere I go to pick up a delivery. It's never packed in the carryout area, and if it is I've been there when there's more than one person in there. Seems like the carryout area caters to deliver drivers cuz there's always a smile, a great attitude, and a pickup is flawless. That usually you're told approximate time the order will be ready, and there's usually no looking at orders, no guessing or general confusion. It's usually straight to the point, with cheerful disposition. In and out. Quick, simple, and it seems that my attitude is always more "cheerful" upon departure, because the experiences are pleasant.

Awesome place for a premium pizza. They are going to be more expensive then your go to delivery pizza place, But honestly well worth it. They really shine with thier specialty pizzas. The flavor combinations and ingredients are some of the best I've had anywhere. The smokehouse Brisket pizza is my favorite specialty pizza from anywhere in the US. Asiago cheese sticks are amazing. Highly recommend this place, especially if you are going for one of those specialty pizzas (get the smokehouse brisket). Also have a bar and cold draft beer.

We went at about 5 on a Sunday, and there were very few people in the place. Pizza took a little longer than I would have expected given how light the business was. We ordered the New York style crust, which ended up being a little oilier than I would prefer these days, but the flavor was excellent. The waiter was prompt and attentive, and the support staff was friendly and polite. A good atmosphere.

We looked up best place to get pizza and Boombozz was the winner. It did not disappoint. Great service, food, drinks and music. Eli was a PHENOMENAL server. He answered all of my questions about the menu and told us about the area. I had the 12'' half Supremo and half Portobello Bello...Eli's suggestion because I wanted both.🙂 There was a mistake made with my pizza. They brought that pizza out and still brought the correct pizza to the table afterwards. We would have never known, so to us that was integrity at its finest. 8" Margherita was the pizza of choice for my daughters. 8" Portobello Bello for my husband. Would definitely return if in Louisville again.

I just went there for the first time last night with my mom and my son (11 months old). It was the most welcoming experience I have had in years. The waitress was a absolutely fantastic, it was only her third shift working there. Then towards the end of our meal, the front house manager came over and greeted us. He was extremely kind and played with my son for few minutes with the waitress. It was an exceptional experience. The gif was great. The staff was fantastic.This has now become our future family hangout. 100% recommended to any and all!

Their specialty pies are delicious! Like none other! The bartenders are friendly and are willing to have a chat if they're not too busy. Restrooms are clean as well as the eating areas. Staff is friendly and willing to have a chat if that's what you would like. They also are good at giving suggestions I want pizzas to eat. They also have gluten-free options for those of you with celiacs disease. It's a great neighborhood pizza place in the highlands! It's also a good place to go catch drink before they close.

The pizza here is exceptional~! There are specialty recipes and just extremely well executed versions of the classics. This is a place to come if you want to experience pizza as more of a fine dinning. They use very high quality ingredients and you can tell that their whole process is very well thought out. I take all my friends from out of town here to show off how great we have it here when it comes to high end pizza~! The tap house is great too. Great selections on beers.

I don't know if I would call it New York style pizza, but it was very good. Nothing special about the crust, a bit meh. The sauce was great and the cheese good, too. The beer selection was nice. Our server was very sweet and helpful. She was the only waitress, however, so she was overworked and everything took a while. We went at lunchtime.

The pizza was delicious and the drinks were also thirst quenching. If you are ever on bardstown rd, you notice that most of the dine in restaurants don't open until 4pm. This is especially disappointing if you have an unsaturated desire for some pizza. Boombozz not only fills the void of a need for a quality lunch time meal, but also supplies you with an amazing assortment of beverages and pizza that has never disappointed. The appetizers are also spot on, especially the wings and the pretzels with beer cheese. If you have never had their beer cheese then you are surely missing that kind of goodness in your life. 10/10 would recommend Boombozz on bardstown rd.

I had the very delicious Boombozz salad and the boys had pizz, which I did steal a couple pieces. Very good. My son ate the rest of my salad and amazed at how good it was. The seating was spaced inside and there was some outside seating. Great service.

Wow. A friend took me here because he said it's the best pizza in Kentucky and he was right. I love the atmosphere. Lots of beer choices and tons of TVs so the game you want is probably on. The pizza is fantastic. I can see why it has won awards. Wish I had one near me.

I really like Boombozz pizza! Every time I've been there ,they were very friendly, and provided quick service. The loaded potato chips were good, but beer cheese is not for me. (My Girlfriend liked them) There traditional pizzas are a great choice. If you like BBQ pizzas, you'll love the brisket pie.

The parking is horrible. The price points are okay, but I have had better for less. That said, they have a great selection of craft beers. So, there is that. Quality of food is above average. I would go back, but it's not a destination place for me.

Great place, great pizza, one of my all time favorite pizza restaurants. I highly recommend the location in the Highlands on Bardstown Road. I recommended Boombozz to a friend traveling thru Louisville from Dayton, OH and he loved it. Plenty of flat screens to watch your favorite team and a great family atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Above all, they have a very tasty selection of ice cold beer. I highly recommend Boombozz Pizza!

One of the best pizza we had. I am very picky about pizza. My husband always teases when I say that New York pizzas are the best. This place comes very close to it. Even my husband said that they must have the magic pizza oven from NY. The waitress Jessica was very professional and attentive to our needs. Definitely will be back.

Five stars for the margaritas made with three whole pieces of fruit. I actually feel pretty virtuous about drinking one of these, it has so much real citrus. Pizzas are imaginative and tasty, sometimes left in the oven about thirty seconds too long. Ask for the chili jam to put on your pizza. It's a house specialty. I wish my stars alone could send the overall to 5 and never let it change. To make a very long and irritating story shorter..... Myself and a business partner flew here on business for emergency relief meetings with state officials. Over our travels we’ve had nothing but issues with DoorDash never arriving to get order or getting them cold and with us flying from city to city we just wanted to relax and not have to go out for food. I explained my issues with doordash and tried find an alternate solution for delivery as with the pandemic it was delivery only through doordash and didn’t want anymore issues. Regretfully, I can’t for the life of me remember the girls name who took our order and who rightfully made her employer shine. However, she took the order over the phone and got it started before making the order through doordash and then after order was placed on doordash, she notified it was ready for pickup for doordash so they’d arrive just as our food would be ready to be still hot and fresh when doordash arrived here. In true glory that they are doordash dropped the ball and never showed after claiming the order to pick up. She called immediately when she realized the problem and was very sincere with the apology and went absolutely above and beyond for us to be taken care of. I’d had joked earlier about need something from the store and being unable to grab it. She assured that she would get us the food at whatever cost and would even grab the stuff we needed from the store. This is true customer service and you can not find it anywhere at this level. I want to make sure regardless of the service you’ve may have received in the past had it been bad. Absolutely give them a chance and you’ll find class as well as outstanding tasting food. Thank you for stepping up and being an example for others to follow. Especially in difficult times as these to make us (the public) as comfortable and happy as your able!

The service was good, as was the pizza. We were a little frustrated that our salads came at about the same time as our pizza and the place wasn't even busy. The build your own Bloody Mary menu was neat, but some of the items I ordered, like stuffed olives, were not impressive. They were stuffed with the usual pimemtos, which isn't stuffed. That's how they normally come! And the salt on the rim consisted of maybe 6 salt crystals.

The food is excellent. If you are on the fence about size though, go ahead and upsize. The personal is a good light lunch, but it's a little light if you're really hungry. The calzone is ample. It's really the ingredients that shine. So if you are ok with quality over quantity, you will be a happy customer. The tap list is pretty good too. It's certainly not the best in the area, but they have some great specials.

This isn’t a bad review because here is where this place gets 5 stars for customer service. The hostess answered the phone and told me they could remake it and I could come pick it up. I have recently been disabled from a car wreck so she put me on hold and came back and told me SHE WAS GONNA BRING IT HERSELF! I was little disappointed in the beer selection. They had many IPA's and high gravity beers. Not many ales or lagers that I enjoyed. All in all a good experience though. We got the Piera, a thin crust pizza with kalamata olives and lots of delicious cheeses, and the cheese bread. Ordered as carry out and it was ready in 20 minutes. The crust had a good crunch without being overdone and the flavor was great. But the cheese bread - oh man, that cheese bread was something out of this world. I'd do this delicious date night-in (for less than $30!) many times over.
