VEGAN PIZZA! Vegan dough and cheese plus tons of veggie toppings. Besides adding chili powder to my slices because I like spice it was a great pizza and totally appeased my pizza craving! Highly recommend

Yo. This place is fantastic. This is the pie that arrived at 10PM the Friday of harvest homecoming via doordash. They are NOT PHONING IT IN. It tastes as good as it looks (and by the way the taste has gotten better over the years it’s been open)

Visited 10/8/21 We always like finding small pizza shops, after reading the reviews we decided this was the place to try. Kudos to this business for having water down for animals who may be walking by. Entering the business the staff behind the counter was cheerful, and interacted automatically. We sat ourselves as the place was small. The place was clean on the tables but other areas of the seating area was dusty. The menu boasts about reducing their carbon footprint by using recycled products but yet doesn’t have a designated area to recycle glass or even the cardboard boxes. To reduce their carbon footprint with patrons eating indoors i think they should use reusable pans. Using covid as an excuse shouldn’t come up. Soap and water works! We ordered; All Meat - For the meat lover in the family, ham, bacon, pepperoni, beef, sausage, & loads of cheese. $15/$18 Veggie - NYC style Veggie includes onions, green peppers,mushrooms, green olives, & loads of cheese. $14/$18 When it arrived the “loads of cheese” was lacking and the toppings were not as appealing as one would expect. Dainty would be more like it or cheap. I thought based on photos from others we’d see chunks of meats on the meat pizza. Same with the green peppers and onion. You couldn’t tell it had those toppings. The crust was tough slices wasn’t easy to tear apart, the toppings well off the slices, and the flavor was mediocre. Was hoping for something great but sadly it’s a normal run of the mill average shop. Bathrooms were clean… One other thing is they were using the front counter designated for seating but instead it was being used for storage. Don’t let my review cause you to not try this place you might like it.

First time eating here we got a 16in. meats and a 16in. bbq chicken and cheese sticks we were highly satisfied with the food , my only complaint was that it has hot inside but I'd say with a small establishment with the ovens going it would be hard to keep it cool inside. Definitely will return!

Pizza here was absolutely delicious! Pricing was a bit on the high side I must admit, but it was all worth every penny. They had a very nice selection of bottled beers in the cooler. Seating is a bit limited but there was enough seats when we went in the evening on Friday. The friend that I went with ended up forgetting his debit card there by accident, and we had to go back later in the evening to pick it up, they found his card and kept it locked up until we arrived to pick it up. There were no fraudulent charges on his card, which was a blessing. I've been debating myself about getting dessert with dinner in the form of cannolis. Upon going back I did order two cannolis to bring home to my wife and I, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be back, and would highly recommend this to anyone.

The first time i ate here when they initially opened was not a great experience. However, i continued to return and now eat here a couple of times a month. They just keep getting better and better and their food is much improved and so good! The cheesy bread is "to die for"! Look how yummy this veggie pizza looks.. It was so good!! The original review is out dated and no longer accurate so this is my updated/changed review. Living downtown New Albany I have lots of choices to choose from but I choose this place the most.

I went here because it came highly recommended. I was told it was the best pizza in town! I had a 10 inch calzone, and it was the best one I’ve had in over a decade! Place is clean and modern looking. The staff are ultra nice and very welcoming! Next time I come back to this part of the country, I will definitely be stopping in for more. Additionally, the location can’t be beat. Just be careful where you park because there is a very poorly marked parking area that belongs to an apartment complex with a power-hungry manager! L O L But I got the last laugh on this yahoo Karen dude. (The apartment complex is called the Breakwater) if they had a sign visible near the parking spots and not just a tiny 8x10 off to the side of the driveway, they could have easily avoided their issue. All in all, the calzone is a must try, especially for the price. A special thanks to the manager or owner who went above and beyond with great service and made me feel welcomed! :-) -Jay

Highly recommend giving this place a try: We ordered today April 16, 2022 around 230pm for our first time from here and are absolutely pleased! We had coupon on Facebook Messenger to buy a specialty pizza and get 12 inch deluxe free and they will substitute Main sauce on pizzas which is awesomeness. Then we also ordered garlic bread sticks and a ceaser salad. We live literally just down the road from the shop did not realize how close til we had placed our order. Customer Service was on point even while they were cycle out on their breaks. Cleanliness of store itself was amazing. A little storage issue in front of store near entrance area but nothing too unsightly and could be fixed with an enclosed shelf towards dining area. After getting our order home and taste everything New York style type pizza, we are absolutely amazed we did not know about the store sooner and will definitely be planning many more visits to the store for our future needs. Thanks again for the wonderful food and great service and we will be seeing you'll again soon.

Me and my wife picked up a pizza after bowling, so it was near quiting time. only complained and I understand cause it was near quiting time. I tried to call in my order but couldn't get an answer and I again understood why. Cheese pizza was good. It was our first time there but won't be our last time.

Absolutely delicious! We are on vacation from Arizona and went in to order and eat. Watched the staff make our pizza (perfect) and then sat at the bar window to eat. We witnessed a very unpleasant customer (who was mad when he came in) and took his frustration out on the cashier. She handled the situation with professionalism. The nice guy working went outside and tried to make things right. The customer was just a mean person. We brought our extra pizza back to the hotel staff and they loved it! Worth the trip.

Its decent pizza guy cooking was nice and honest. Had 2 pepperoni slices they were pretty good, pizzas r run through a conveyor oven instead of a old school pizza oven. Light on red sauce which is good, asked for a ranch and garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was good but it would be better if they made ranch in house. Right now they have kens ranch which is meh.. All in all its better than a pizza u would get from a chain restaurant. Pizza doesnt need dipping sauce im just a dipping kind of dude when it comes to this style of pizza.

Tried them for the first time since it was Louisville Pizza Week and we are SO glad we did. The Chipotle Chicken Ranch pizza is fabulous. We also ordered the House Salad and they actually cook the bacon that they put on the salad. The seasoning in their crust is refreshing.

Edit: thank you Jeff, for remaking the pizza it was delicious, and it was just perfect, my kids loved it, with the extra cheese that they saw and the crust they really enjoyed, it was Amazing, I can taste the cheese with the light seasoning that was added and it made a difference,” iwant to go back already” Last part was from my wife 🤣 Original: It was our family first time here, we decided to try it out, loved how we were able to sit down and enjoy ourself as we waited for the food, the crust was every soft and enjoyable the whole family liked it, one thing I didn’t like was that we order extra cheese on our pizza and it didn’t seem like there was any extra then the norm you would get out of any other place especially if we paid extra for it. On the pizza all I could taste was the seasoning could not taste anything else and didn’t see anything special about it, Willing to give it a second chance like I do all places hope for a better next time.

Great pizza place! Smells like heaven as soon you enter. We only waited about ten minutes for our order. The pizza itself was delicious - kind of a New York thin style, generous toppings, and not very greasy at all. We will definitely be back!

We both had a Ceasar salad which was made with very fresh ingredients and we both thought they were excellent. Ditto the full order of bread sticks which were smaller than most so you got a lot of crusty crunch in each one. We got a large 8th Street Special, which is essentially their version of One With Everything. It was also very good. We'll be back!

Absolutely all-around fantastic pizza joint! Very clean, workers are very professional, managers like Jeff leading the team producing high quality pizza. This will not disappoint! They put the big guys (Pizza hut, papa johns, domino's) to shame! Very unique flavor and PERFECT for my UFC nights! Please give them a chance. Family friendly CLEAN tables with big screen tv, beer available, fountain soda. Support small business dreams, they are worth it.

The pizza was good, a little bit greasy for my liking. The store is kinda awkwardly laid out as to where to go inside, where to order, and extremely small area to eat in. The associates were extremely willing to take the order and were encouraged to eat in even though the store was closing within 10 minutes.

My kids and I moved to New Albany about a year ago. We’ve become so tired of the same food during this pandemic and scrolling through food delivery apps I found 8th St Pizza. WOW!!!! We have a large cheese pizza, large pepperoni pizza and garlic breadsticks. It was all gone and everyone loved it! I already can’t wait to order it again this weekend!!!

Easily the best pizza in New Albany. The closest thing to NY style this far south. The slices are large and foldable, the way NY pizza should be. Great food, great staff, great service.

Pizza was really good. I got the Hawaiian pizza and a calzone. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for pizza. It's easy to find and parking was pretty accessible in the back. It's not expensive, either.

This place offered a great opportunity for my 7th grader and her friend to do some volunteer work. It was such short notice from us and they were just so accomodating and welcoming. Sweet and friendly people can be found here, they really care about the community. After my daughter and her friend volunteered they took home a pizza. I didn't know what to expect and was pleased at the quality and taste of their pepperoni pizza. Good job all around 8th Street pizza!

I've been in the area for about 2 months and have been to quite a few pizza places. 8th Street Pizza is seriously the best. Amazing flavor. The crust is the perfect size around the edges. Not forgetting to mention this is a ministry where you can pay for others to come and get a slice. Try either the regular pepperoni or the BBQ chicken.

8th Street Pizza is a great place to get amazing New York style pizza. And not only is 8th Street a pizza shop, it's a non-profit ministry that serves the local community. All the workers are volunteers. If you order a pizza, you can pay it forward by offering an extra tip. That money will go towards running the shop, and also purchasing pizza for neighbors who may not be able to pay the full price. ❤

This is a great place with great food and with what they do for the community is great just dont use door dash with them the driver i had never delivered my food I called and talked to the place here to give them the heads up about it not their fault at all for door dash drivers stealing will be back again with these place cause they are great here

Enjoyed the pizzas and salads. Unfortunately, when we were there, only 1 employee was working. The others arrived at noon. They only serve Pepsi products. Everything was served to go style, but we sat and ate there. The pizza was great. I got the slab (1 piece) with drink. Others got the 8th street special. Lots of toppings!

My first visit. Got the 8th St. Neopolitan pizza and a cannoli. The Cannoli was just delicious!!! the pizza had very good flavor. Love the sauce! Pizza was cold when I got home but I heated in the toaster oven and it tasted very good. I think because this pizza is so very thin it doesn't hold in its heat so it was ice cold when I got home. Still tasted great on reheat. Looking forward to my next visit. $15 for a 12 inch is kinda pricy, Wish cannoli's were cheaper. Still very good. Maybe after economy settles the inflation will slow down.
