We enjoyed the 5 course menu last week. The Scallop was simply the best food I’ve ever eaten! It melted like it was made of air, and the flavor with the black bean reduction lingered joyously afterwards like the final notes of a beautiful symphony! The dessert with the butterscotch cream was a favorite! Thank you to Emma and the staff for making adjustments to my daughter’s menu to account for her tree-nut allergy and vegetarian choice. Everything was outstanding and my family all enjoyed it.

A fantastic five course meal in a cozy setting with great and attentive service. Highly recommend doing the wine pairing with your meal as you will get to try some unique wines that are perfectly matched with each course. For most of the courses you can select between a couple of options which gives you some flexibility in case there is something that you really want to try or something that you're not sure about.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had food this good with service this spot-on. 610 Magnolia is a tasting menu only restaurant, which meant 5 courses the night we went. Every dish was enjoyable, especially the pork loin with pork belly. The wine pairing added an extra ounce of awesome, and was worth the splurge. But the best part was the service. Our server instantly felt like an old friend, and those that helped him made the evening feel like we were hanging out at a friend’s house. Thank you all for making our birthday evening so spectacular!

Tucked in the quiet neighborhood of Magnolia Ave is 610 Magnolia. The restaurant provides a dinner experience unlike no other.
It takes a lot of culinary expertise and talent to showcase a menu inspired by the marriage of Southern cuisine and Korean cuisine, and 610 Magnolia executed it with perfection.
No gimmicks involved, the whole five course menu tasted as great as it looked. So intricately prepared, all components of all courses complemented well with each other in terms of color, texture, flavor and smell. I forgot to take a photo of the foie gras and the drunken banana cake but they were top-notch.
If you live around the area or just visiting, please do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

When I saw Childish Gambino in concert he said, "Put your phone away. This is church." I felt a similar feeling about this meal.
Restaurant perfection achieved. Unassuming and chill, yet inspired. A tasting menu in which I didn't leave hungry. Our waiter made the cocktails and conjured both The Last Word and Aviation as if it was nothing. Both were also fire.
As for the food, I'll keep that part a mystery as it was for us. You won't be disappointed. If it had been appropriate to lick the plates of every dish while sitting in the exact middle of the room in such a space, we would have.
Service was impeccable. The place ran like a well-oiled machine. Truly a wonderful meal and experience!

Incredibly talented chef and quite the tasting menu on a Friday evening. We had a party of seven and the service was impeccable surely matched the phenomenal cuisine. Every bite of every bit of the 5 courses was better than the previous. Forget reading the menu as it is better to just say yes please and enjoy the experience. Thanks to the staff for accommodating our group.

I love experience dinners. I am more than happy to pay for excellent food and wine. I have traveled all over in the US to primarily eat and drink my way through cities. I was pretty disappointed in just one thing at 610 Magnolia. The food. The service and presentation were excellent. The atmosphere was also beautiful but I found the food to be all flair and no substance, over salted, sour and lacking developed flavor. I didn’t finish a single dish. We chose to do the wine pairing which was a selection of wines primarily from New Mexico. I found that the complementary cava at the beginning of the meal was the only wine I would revisit. Overall, the value was not there. I have had food that is exponentially better at a quarter of the price. For elevated food and an elevated palate I would suggest choosing a different place. Hopefully, based on the other reviews, this was an off night.

As a long time fan of Chef Ed Lee, I was really excited to try 610 on a recent trip to Louisville, but was left wanting more. A few things that I found interesting about the experience before I get into the actual food.
Reservations are by phone only. I sort of like this because you interact with a person rather than just some random online reservation system. Since the website doesn’t have a menu or pricing, this does allow you to ask questions. But in case you are wondering, it’s a five course meal for $110, not including drinks, service, and taxes. They were pretty communicative when I called and left a VM and they confirmed day of via text. I really like the human touches in an era of dining when service is being sacrificed because of staffing shortages.
The five course menu is pre-fixe, but what’s interesting is that you can choose between two options for each course, in 4 of 5 cases. You can do an optional wine pairing, which is an additional 65, which are four pretty healthy pours, plus a dessert cocktail. Pours are a bubbly, two whites, and a red. The value on the pairing is quite good, many of our party left feeling quite cheerful, shall we say.
The server and wait staff were really friendly, informative, and good spirited. They didn’t talk too much and were pretty happy to engage with us as a group when we had questions. As a party of six, we effectively tried every dish on the menu except one dessert. There were some clear winners amongst the group including the amuse bouche and the quail (4th course). Both seafood courses, one of sea scallop and the other of hake, were a bit underwhelming. The lamb, which was an alternate to the quail, was very rare. I don’t mind rare lamb personally, but the other person in my party who got it didn’t care for the temp of the meat. I personally was a big fan of the dessert, which was an interesting take on a s’more, which smoke and chocolate and freeze dried corn and marshmallow. It comes actually smoking to you, but my wife really didn’t care for the smoke smell and flavor.
Overall I felt like some of the dishes had too many components that it was hard to get one fork full of all the pieces, so it didn’t all harmonize. We did appreciate the contrast in textures in the dishes, but found the flavor to be understated in some dishes. Oh! The bread and butter. Forgot that. The butter is out of this world good. It’s mixed with sorghum and topped with flaky sea salt on a really delicious sourdough bread made locally.
Overall, a pretty good experience, but not the best dining experience I have ever had. I can see why it would rank as one of the best in Louisville, but I likely wouldn’t come back on a return trip.

I’ve eaten here about 5 times and every time it’s been exceptional. Highly recommend. Tasting menu only that changes regularly with the seasons. Highlight of the meal was the beet chèvre tart.
Laura Delaquis
My mom and I had dinner here to celebrate my 50th birthday. The entire experience was fantastic, from the champagne toast they brought for my birthday to the 5 course meal. The food was delicious and the wine pairings were perfect for each course. The waitstaff was great and really knew how to allow guests to enjoy their time. We will definitely be back.

I read a review about Chef Lee and 610 Magnolia in Food and Wine thought how much I would like to try this restaurant. Considering I never have an opportunity to get to Louisville I figured it would end there. I happened to have the good fortune to attend a conference in Louisville and well in advance, made reservations. It has to be one of the most superb dining experiences we have had in years. The restaurant ambience is lovely and I really can’t say enough about the service! The wait staff were knowledgeable about the food, wine, bourbons, Louisville and incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The food, however was just over the top! Not only was it beautiful, but it had such an incredible mix of textures and flavors that just made each dish outstanding. The wines that were paired with the meal complemented the dishes and truly enhanced the experience.
The meal was truly outstanding and I would highly recommend trying the wine pairing. It is not an inexpensive evening but in our estimation, it was an experience worth every penny!
Hugh Shoff
It is the best restaurant in Louisville. The atmosphere is great as you feel that tucked away, fine dining experience. The service was great. We had Alex who was very attentive and very responsive to the table. We did the five-course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was very good. The wines were a hit on two courses. The others were a nice compliment but not out of the ordinary. Food was nice. I personally wish they focused on more Korean influenced flavors but that did not detract from the meal. Really nice and well worth the time eating here.
Randi McClure
Simply put… amazing. The front of house staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The food was delicious and the wine pairing really elevated everything. If you have some money and time don’t pass up 610 Magnolia.
Bianca M
Incredible food, amazing ambiance!! I enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu, and asked the chef to choose for me! I really enjoyed the meal progression! One note: the service was generally good, but there were two instances where my 2nd and 4th courses were plated but I didn’t have any cutlery. Attention to the guest is important
Tracey McDonald
What an amazing food journey!!!! Thank you for the gluten free options that didn't make me feel like I was missing out. The did was sooooo delicious

Words cannot describe how much fun it was to dine here. My party and I didn't fully know what to expect, but that all changed with the BLT. I instantly fell in love with the BLT. It may have been my favorite dish (technically it was "just" an amuse bouche). Either that or all the dishes were equally perfect. I couldn't stop smiling all dinner long because of how good the food was. It took us 2.5 hours to get through dinner and it was so WORTH IT. The staff was PROFESSIONAL, the food was DELICIOUS, and YOU should go have dinner at 610 Magnolia.
Lori Shipulski
610 Magnolia makes me want to move to Kentucky. Stunning flavor profiles, beautiful presentation, excellent service, in a charming setting. Don't miss it.
Xavier Orozco
Absolutely worth the money for the intimate experience with amazing food. The guinea hen was amazing. The foie gras blt was out of this world. I could've had non stop squares of that alone. The best dessert I've ever tasted was the bourbon banana smokey cake ice cream in a wine glass. Amazing. Lastly the service here is fantastic so you won't be at all disappointed with the service. Can certainly recommend.
Curtis Posner
Absolutely EVERYTHING was incredible! It has been on my bucket list for a while... It was everything I expected and more! Food and service beyond anything I had In Kentucky.

Lucky enough to go here for Valentine's. 610 has a reputation, so I'd been looking for an opportunity to check it out. Great ambience, great service, great food, just a great overall experience. It certainly lives up to the reputation it has earned, and is one of the landmark restaurants in Louisville.
Olivia Perkins-Mackey
I’ve been wanting to go to 610 since I first saw Chef Edward Lee on Top Chef. I love restaurants and food that make you think about them for years to come. Unfortunately, I won’t be thinking of my meal here again. The drinks were good and the amuse bouche had great flavor but I found the middle dishes unmemorable. I thought the house made bread was amazing, the desserts delightful and the service phenomenal but ultimately, the food was not worth the price.
Kelsey G
What a wonderful treat to partake in the three course meal here. Amazing service, great cocktails and delicious food. The seasonal menu was spectacular with the butternut squash agnolotti, scallops, and fig cheesecake.
Mikey Austin
Tl;Dr: great restaurant, I liked how it was casual without sacrificing complexity of ingredients/dishes. Great value, I think it's kind of a no brainer. If you are the type to raise your nose at this type of establishment, I promise you'll leave full!
I visited here on 10/29/22.
Service was wonderful, staff were friendly, talkative and helpful. They were happy to cater to me with classic recommendations that hit the spot. I asked one staff member (was his name John?) to completely improvise a mocktail and it was simple in a good way, tasty, and even a little nostalgic which was nice. I didn't really know how to order a mocktail, so I just asked him to wing it and really, considering the ambiguity of my order I was absolutely satisfied with a sweet fizzy soda drink. However, although the staff might pick up on this, I think if you do not drink alcohol for whatever reason, and/or would want something more true to a spirited version you should probably specify that so it's less sweet/more pungent/more complex and sip-able. Overall Id say that everyone did their job very well, and although I regret that I do not know or remember anybody's names, I would absolutely like to say that there was a brunette (?) woman who made wonderful conversation with me and was polite, hospitable and helpful. She made me a French 75 cocktail, which she recommended after I told her I wanted something bubbly. I really appreciated that after I briefly mentioned an increasing interest in enjoying more cocktails, she walked me through how the cocktail was made, why she was doing certain things, and how I could likely improve my own. I hope her co-workers who were scheduled tonight can shout her out to management! I wish she didn't run off to a break or other business, I couldn't give her a tip due to being in a relative hurry, for a restaurant like this.
Food was generally great. Some things were better than others, as is probably the case at like every restaurant in the world. Overall, it was very complex and well thought out, but not overly pretentious, which I really appreciate. I assume it's a really hard balance to reach because I've never really had a balanced meal and atmosphere like this before.
The BLT was great, absolutely perfectly balanced, in a way which is almost uncanny. Another standout was the rye pasta with the duck ragu, was really just an amazingly interesting dish, which is the reason I'd come to a restaurant like this. It was a nice fruity sweet and savory, which worked great with duck! On a sadder note, I had the "tempura fried" cod with papaya salad and it really stood out as disappointing. The "tempura fried" cod just kinda tasted like any other battered and fried fish, it's coating was not really noticably different than fish and chips or something similar, and the coating was actually a little hard to cut through with my fork; so in general not light and airy like tempura and instead thick and glutinous (not necessarily a bad thing) with no seasonings or anything unique about it at all, so it was just lost next to the salad. I love the idea of using papaya salad as a sort of slaw, which is absolutely brilliant, and I feel like there is much, much more to it. However, in this instance it was just kinda bland, and didn't feel like like the papaya was truly tenderized, it was really pretty crunchy for a papaya salad, and although it had the aroma of fish sauce it didn't have that wonderful toothsome savory/spicy combo which I'm used to from papaya salad, and instead it was kinda chewy and kinda bland, there was definitely no padaek, which is the kind of touch I was expecting :(
I didn't like the bourbon aficionado desert. It tasted like smoky s'mores, and felt like a take on Eaton mess. For me personally, it just read as too much for eating after five courses. It was flat out hard to finish due to how sweet and rich it was after such a rich and filling dinner (good problems, right!). Next time I'm gonna get the cheese platter with that cocktail, that sounded super interesting!
Matthew Demaris
Well thought out menu, everything prepared and seasoned properly. By far the best dining experience we've had in Louisville. Happy New Year!
FOC
The 610 BLT is delicious! I know they were appetizers but I could've kept eating them. Tartar was also amazing! Always a great meal

Great dinner I'd visit again if I'm back in town. Chef Lee has a great menu and approach to modern southern flavors.
Garrett Shane Bryant
It goes without saying that the food here is impeccable, I don't need to cover that, but I'd like to add that the service was truly fantastic from two very kind and attentive waiters, in a simple, comfortable and unassuming atmosphere. There are maybe 10-12 tables... and probably 115 lit candles. Perfect.
The cocktails were complex and delightful, and while we did not pair every dish the wine we did choose was exceptional. There were two of us and we ordered the six-course menu each, staggering our choices so we could try everything and I very much so recommend doing the same. In addition to the courses there were many great little one-bite in-between 'pallet-cleansers'... cubes of grilled BLT, fruit sorbets, truffles, spicy macaroons, bourbons and more. Loved it all.
Our servers knew the menu thoroughly and the manager (this was a Wednesday) was incredibly attentive and informative, answering all our questions about how some things were grown (across the street mostly) and how they were then prepared.
It was just amazing and we left feeling so perfectly satisfied and cared for, Southern hospitality indeed.
J T
Meal was well balanced and each dish was as delicious as it was to the eyes. Went with the six course meal, shared with a few friends. 5 of us got the waygu, one got the Egg, which was very good, but in the end 5 of us agreed the Egg with truffle oil was the superior dish - definitely go with the egg. Might skip the wine pairing, wasn't really impressed.
nate knopf
Menu as of 1/27/23, I'll put my comments about each dish and wine pairing under them. All dishes were amazing but I'll try and distinguish which were more amazing.

Apparently this has been the Amuse Bouche since this restaurant opened, delicious, some sort of pate and reduced tomato with great bread and a perfect bite of bacon.

I had a meal here 5 years ago that was transcendental; not sure if I've changed or the restaurant has but it felt a little less special this time. Little missteps like my fried oyster being a tad overcooked and service being friendly but not quite as professional as the standard for fine dining. Still, this is one of the best meals to be had in Louisville and at a inexpensive price point compared to other cities. And Ed Lee is a great guy who has done a lot for the community and the restaurant biz at large. It is worth a visit at least once.

Our first night in Louisville, and after eating at 610 Magnolia it may be impossible to top the quality of the food or the service we had tonight in this city. We opted for the six course tasting menu with wine pairing, and we weren't disappointed. The Asian - Southern fusion cuisine was unique and tasty. The bourbon drinks from the bar are fantastic (try the 610 Old Fashion or the Jefferson Chef Collaboration). If you are a foodie and are in Louisville, treat yourself and have dinner at 610 Magnolia.
Peter
My fiancee and I chose the four course prix-fixe option for our evening's dining experience. The experience, however, left us in eager anticipation of a more substantial course that never came.
Were this venue a tapas place that cost less than $75/person, my rating would likely be higher. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed, and so we left disappointed. While the meager food we did eat was very tasty, we ended up consulting Google for other places that were open for food; as our night at 610 Magnolia was not an evening for a meal - it was just a taste.
Nicole C
610 Magnolia had, hands down, the best food I have ever eaten in my life. The flavors were incredibly balanced and creative. The beef tongue was amazing, and my favorite was the guinea fowl roulade, pork and foie sausage, cranberry bean, greens, red currant (3rd course). My only complaint is, I wish one course had been entrée sized. I would not recommend considering the four course tasting menu your dinner, as we did, if you arrive to the restaurant hungry. At the end of the meal, we felt like it left something to be desired.
Shane Benson
The best restaurant in Kentucky. It would be a Top 5 restaurant in any major Metro including New York, Chicago, or San Fransisco. Don't leave this state without eating there at least once.
Season Harrig
Absolutely Amazing! This is not a dinner, this is an experience. Alex was the best, he took very good care of us.
Jason Saunders
If you didn't already know, your tongue can orgasm. If you eat at 610 Magnolia, that much is clear. If that isn't your experience, you might want to ask you doctor about the little blue pill to help with that. Dinner was absolutely AMAZING. All caps, and it still doesn't do the meal justice. It was, by far, hands down, no equals, the best meal I've ever had. Thank you so much to the chef and staff at 610 Magnolia. We will be back. I promise that.
(UPDATE - We came back) 610 Magnolia does it again. We had another fantastic meal, full of wonderful flavors, excellent service, and an experience I'll never forget. The Cavatelli with Lamb Ragu was, and still is one of the best things I've ever eaten, and the Waygu Beef Tongue, wow, don't even get me started on that. Words wouldn't do it justice.
Luciana K
We had dinner with friends and it was fantastic! Food was wonderful; we tried the 5 course meal . I got the Hemingway drink and it was so delicious.
Ron Orgel
Excellent meal and superb service. We had the tasting menu paired with wine and each course was a progression playing off a dish with unique surprises. A little out of the way but definitely worth the trip.
nicole dyehouse
Wonderful dining experience. We went in July and while it was lovely, I feel like it'd be even better in the dark of winter. Very cozy vibe and an true treat.
David Sawyer
The service was top notch. Tyler was very knowledgeable about pairing wines with food (listen to him and be open, bc he will not let you down). The 6 course meal was phenomenal, any one of the dishes could've been my favorite. Our 1st anniversary could not have been to a better place. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Thank you to both Tyler's, Christina, and everyone else involved for making tonight amazing.
Kai S
This restaurant is a 'gem' if you've ever thought of going, you should. The service was phenomenal and the chef(s) pallet is on broad street. We were a party of 4 with a vegan, a no beef no pork, a the picky one, and a ok I'll try it. And they accommodated each and everyone of us ...with pleasure. They weren't bothered about the adjustments. The chef(s) are Johnny-the-spot!!! Go. Go. Go to 610 Magnolia
The food was so good I forgot to take more photos 😊😊😊
Rachel Hunt
It's been months since I was in Louisville and I still think about this dinner. My friend and I got the chefs tasting menu with wine pairing. They accommodated my wheat allergy, everything was seasoned beautifully and service was impeccable. Save up your special occasion fund, these chefs are worth it.
Marcia Mc Clendon
What a lovely time we had enjoying a meal in their cozy test kitchen across the street. There were several courses, including quail with sweet potatoes and a spicy sauce, steak encrusted with a zesty spice rub, and a cake topped with nuts and a light foam sauce. Compliments to the chefs for delicious food and wonderful experience!
Valerie Leclerc
Wonderful. Excellent advice on the wine options. Thanks Tyler. The 6 course menu was wonderful with options from bright to rich and robust. Flavors that tickle the pallet! Could not have been more satisfied.
Ashley LeBourveau
Fantastic experience - the service was excellent, every dish was perfectly executed, and I highly suggest the wine pairing. The waiter gave so much detail not only about the wine, but why that one was chosen for the course. The ambiance is very comfortable and low-key, which is a great match to the fine dining experience
Kyle Henderson
Chef Lee is well know for the awesome food. Couldn't have asked any better from 610. Very interesting menu, complex and unique.
Agent Willis
What an experience! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It's a fixed menu, but you do get to choose between two options for each course. I would eat here again and again.
Kelly H
Excellent dining experience in Louisville. We actually ended up changing our flight to come here and it was well worth it! Very attentive service - Thank you to Liz and our waitress (forgetting her name but she was awesome and had wine glass earrings on). We had a 5 course meal - you’re able to choose some of the dishes and they were even able to accommodate a vegetarian menu. For dessert, highly recommend their signature bourbon desert - it was one of many of our favorites. The restaurant itself is tucked away in Old Louisville- If you get the chance also recommend walking around the area to view some of the beautiful Victoria buildings. Overall a very delicious and memorable experience and will be back again if we’re ever in the area!

Amazing food! Just drink a little before you pay lol! ❤️
Susan Nitschke
Amazing service, atmosphere is unique and warm, food was incredible and whimsical.

I love this restaurant it has a romantic style with great food. This is the place to go to get great food and the service is spectacular
Meghan Schott
My mom loves it, which says a lot. She rarely loves restaurants.

Enjoyed the 6 course meal. My son who was 3 got free kids meal with our dinner!
Jessica Lutz
This is arguably the best restaurant in Louisville. Chef Lee consistently offers innovative and delicious food, while also giving back to the community.
Zach H
Reservations were odd email system that didn't confirm reservation. Food was delicious, typical tasting menue portions. A nice house sour dough bread was included with unlimited refills. We did wine pairing, all the wines were phenomenal. Overall quality to price ratio wasn't quite as good as others I have done, wine pours seemed small.
Brooke Secoy
Absolutely phenomenal culinary experience. Impeccable service, delightful ambiance, and delicious food. I cannot give enough praise to the staff that gave us such an amazing evening or to the Chefs that created our fabulous meal. We cannot wait to visit again!!
Jessica Griffith
We were in from Ohio celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary and this place was phenomenal. Their 5 course menu allows you to try a little bit of everything and expand your pallet without putting you too far "outside the box." George was our main server and he was fantastic. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to try different things that aren't "scary" and want quiet, intimate dining.
Shirley H.
I would first like to preface this review. I DID NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT, so the stars do not reflect food or quality. I requested a reservation through their website on Sunday, August 22 for a meal on August 25. On Tuesday, August 24 I received an email they were fully committed but did offer to place me on wait list if there were cancelations. I choose this restaurant because it rated well. I later saw a review that spoke of her elevated palate so like her I may have been disappointed. I plan to try out in a future visit. I would recommend the owners give potential customers an idea of what would be a good time to request reservations.. As well as not waiting the day before someone would like to attend and say there are no reservations. I REPEAT, I DID NOT HAVE A MEAL AT THE RESTAURANT.
UmPqUajf
Looks like an old house in an old neighborhood but then you walk inside through the curtains and your brought into a beautiful intimate high quality dining experience. We were blown away with the quality of food and service. Some of the best well thought out complex dishes we have ever had. Anytime I'm in Louisville I will be booking a table at 610 magnolia.
Josephine Welch
I did not know what to expect and was throughly impressed. Everything was top notch. I have never had a meal like this before. The food appears so beautiful and perfectly arranged, every bite was intense with unique and sensuous flavors. I was happy we ordered the wine pairings. I loved the attention and descriptions of what we were eating from the servers.
Davis Herr-Williams
Seriously one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life! Wonderful balance, quality ingredients and wonderful execution. The service was phenomenal! Anna made us EXCEPTIONAL mocktails.
Jamie Chiarotto
What an incredible experience. The meal was perfect. The experience was elevated by George, who took the time to speak to us about the meal, the wine, and the history of the restaurant.
Highly recommend. Thank you to the team at 610.
Sean Conway
Wonderful meal from walking in the door to walking out with my bloated belly. The courses were filling and thought through. The service was impeccable and friendly. The striped bass blew us both away! I highly recommend It everyone and everyone that is celebrating an event or spending a nice date evening with someone super special! Enjoy and wish we were there. Thanks to Liz and the team

First time I've dined at a place of business since covid became hot dog. Wow. All I can say is WORTH THE WAIT. My family celebrated my sister's 50th bday in the lovely 610 Magnolia Courtyard. We had the place to ourselves and even spun to some tunes like fireflies in the sky. I ordered a vegan meal which was not on the menu but prepared with as much love as the other beautiful plates. I actually considered marrying my drink because she was a sexy and delicious mocktail that didnt try to steal my soul. Amen. Awomb. Nomasty.. this Ninja Hermes shall return to 610 someday special hopefully sooner than a moon walk.

My husband and I went here for our 15th anniversary last Saturday. It was spectacular! The attention to detail on the plating, the vibrant colors used, the creativity of the menu.. phenomenal. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks he created for us were wonderful. Hope to make it back some day!

They did so much for me on my birthday 🥺 I don’t eat dairy and they basically reconfigured the entire menu for my benefit. Complimentary champagne and black truffles because of it being my birthday was amazing. Johnny is also a really cool guy. We were the only people left in the restaurant and they heard me talking about how much I liked The Rolling Stones and they played them the rest of the night ❤️ If you want a thoughtful night please visit 610
Harry Storms
The food is incredible and the service was exceptional. Travis and Anna were outstanding. Liz our hostess made us feel like family. Thanks again for making my mom's 80th birthday such a special night.
Charles B
Amazing food. Just a world class dining experience.

I went with my husband for dinner. The restaurant had taken really great precautions for Covid. We weren’t super impressed by the food, though. While the menu was imaginative, the flavors of each course kind of ran together and eventually got dull by the end. I couldn’t finish my main course because by that point I was sick of the flavor profile and couldn’t eat anymore. We wanted this food to be good, and it was... but maybe as individual plates and not as a multi-course dinner.
Candi Wallace
Absolutely Phenomenal!! Thank you Chef Lee and everyone associated with the Lee Initiative!!👊🥰❤ …

Awesome experience! We've learned not to study the menu but just bring it. Almost always a pleasant surprise. Great opportunity to try different things. BTW, the house bourbon will not disappoint.
Caius Kim
We had high hopes for this restaurant during our visit to Louisville. In summary the food was amazing, but the service was spotty..
1) there is a limited menu (4 apps, 4 mains) and 8 tables (2 pax/table) due to COVID
2) the food was very tasty and on point. Really interesting flavors and well presented.
3) the kitchen was very slow (2 hours and 15 mins for the total service). Long waits between course.
4) with 3 staff working on a Wed night; they did not offer a level of service commensurate with the food (notwithstanding pace); I had to refill both our water and wine glasses the majority of the time, and completely finished plates remained uncleared for unacceptable periods of time. Another issue, I needed more lettuce for my main (you wrap the pork in lettuce), no one noticed that I had stopped eating and was trying to catch their eye for ~15 mins.
The manager did apologize when we raised the poor service and comped the dessert; not enough to overcome the disappointment with the overall dining experience.
It could have been an off night for both the kitchen and service- perhaps they normally have 4 staff for the 8 tables? There were couples seated after us that were on a slower pace that evening. Based on my experience go early and drop a fork to catch the servers attention if you need something.

We had the six course tasting with each of us getting a different item, so we were able to taste everything on the menu. It is a fantastic experience! Anyone who does not give this place five stars must be a food Neanderthal. The food, wine, cocktails, and service were unsurpassed. We own a local bed and breakfast, so we know the effort placed on the preparation and quality of this kind of meal. Great job to Ed Lee and his wonderful staff. Thank you for a great evening!

The food and experience were top notch. Our server George was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. Chef Lee's team and atmosphere is something to come back to! Also bathrooms were clean and had great paper towels.
Emmanuel Valenzuela
Great place to eat and fun after a bourbon tour. A museum like none other we have been. Food and service was excellent.
Donnie Bischoff
First off, the inside of the restaurant is very vintage and classy and had a nice ambience.
The food was very good and cooked with ingredients that you'd expect for the price.
WHY THE 3 STARS:
Service was average
Drink pours were minimum
I hope you snack before you go because you get virtually nothing with your entrée.
We enjoyed the experience but will not go back.

I don't even know where to start this review. It was so damn good and well executed that it has ruined any other culinary experience I've ever had. As for the food, I don't know enough words in the English language to describe the shear perfection on each plate. Every bite just had layers of complexity that I had not experienced before. Some dishes were a testimate to how subtlety in flavor can invoke an almost religious experience. The attention to every little detail throughout our meal was to perfection and the food was exquisite. The timing was spot on, the portions were just right and the wait staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. By the end of the meal, to our surprise we realized that we had been there for almost three hours. What a night! I'll never look at a dining experience the same way again.

We were excited to be able to get a booking at 610 Magnolia for our first trip to Louisville. We chose the four course dinner with wine/beverage pairings and settled in for an evening of creative and delicious food paired perfectly with wines and a delightful bourbon cocktail. We were fortunate to meet Chef Edward Lee, an unexpected pleasure. The mushroom tart was one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had. We will look forward to a return visit!

We had the carryout Chinese night and it was fabulous. Portions were large, food was delicious, pickup was easy and safe. Reheat instructions were right on on point. Sauces were so tasty. Definitely will be back
Matthew Taylor
Exceptional dinning experience. The chefs are artists and the entire staff is warm and welcoming. Well worth it for a great evening.
Nathan Groneck
I was worried at first cause the vegetarian courses are all substitutions within the regular course options but they nailed it. So much flavor and attention to detail. It's like an art museum for your mouth

Amazing Food, Amazing Service. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and Ed Lee.
Took my wife for our anniversary, the cocktails were fantastic and they surprised us with some excellent champagne. We do not eat meat and they accommodated us very well (we do eat fish), and the food was just over the top amazing. Easily the best dining experience that we have ever had.
Christian Salazar
Great atmosphere, great food. I really want to give the restaurant 5 stars but it's super expensive. The 6-course meal is 40 euros short of being priced like a michelin star restaurant in Paris. Is the food as good? I'll let you decide.. We had a great time and the 6 course took us almost 4hrs to eat. Which i loved... when you're paying up, it better be an experience. Go here, go back when pricing is a little friendlier.

This was the one experience I’ve wanted to do since moving to Louisville. Chef Edward Lee amazes and tantalizes your senses with each thoughtful course. The offerings were well thought out and carefully chosen. The hostess was a bubbly vivacious woman who passionately explained each course and tapas plates making the experience equally knowledgeable and enjoyable. Our server, Jeremy, was excellent in his experience and table side manner making great recommendations and paying special attention to each and every guest not just table. The chef personally came out and greeted us making the experience that much more special and graciously signed the books I purchased. The food was something extraordinary and special, proteins prepared expertly and perfect. We had lamb, fois gras, halibut and pork and each was uniquely prepared to perfection. The kimchi is a must have, if they are serving it you must have it as it’s the best we’ve ever had. The fois is also a must have, meat butter meltyness on anchovie toast?! The restaurant is an unassuming grey home from the outside with only the address and name hand painted by the front door, walk inside and a chic and stylish interior awaits you. A top culinary and cultural experience awaits you at 610 Magnolia.

I want to so badly give a 5 star because everything was beyond excellent until it came to the entree. We had been waiting literally months to go to dinner with some special friends and made reservations. All of us did the 6 course meal and wine pairings. Because there were a couple choices for some of the courses, we decided to order one of each so we could try everything. We were so excited. Each course was fabulous and beautifully prepared. The wine selections were perfect complimenting each bite. When it came to the entrees, the choices that night were fowl and red snapper. The chicken was prepared well but was served with just ok beans. I get the whole southern cooking thing and totally love it, but it was such a let down after the first 4 courses were so fantastic (not to mention we were paying a very pretty penny, probably the most expensive pretty penny we have ever paid for a meal in our lives). It was such a let down and unfortunately the one dish that was talked about the most. All in all the experience was truly excellent. The chicken liver pate was one of my favorites. Looking forward to going back.

Best food I've had in Louisville, possibly anywhere. Friendly, attentive, and smart staff provided everything we needed to enjoy the night. Couldn't afford to go here often, but hopefully I make it back. Tables are for the whole night, at least on weekdays, so you never feel rushed.
Marian Swagler-Stewart
I am absolutely blown away with the depth of flavor with every dish in the 6 course meal with wine pairing. The wagyu beef tongue dish was the most amazing thing I've tasted in my entire life. This place is a MUST for fine diners. I will definitely be back soon.
Joseph Grove
I often have lunch with a very special friend at 610 Magnolia, and it's the perfect Old Louisville location to have a meal that's as congenial as it is delicious. The staff knows my friend by name and even remembers her wine preferences. It softly glows with natural light from the wall of windows, and all the interior appointments help magnify it and diffuse. The vibe is excellent.
Whatever I order, I'm sure to have it accompanied by the roasted Brussels sprouts. They are like candy! If there ever is a zombie apocalypse, I'm heading straight to 610 Magnolia to scoop as many of them as I can into my pockets for the adventure ahead.
Have a bit much to eat? 610's proximity to Louisville's stellar Central Park enables one to enjoy stroll to facilitate digestion, one made even better when the Kentucky Shakespeare Theatre is staging one of its free plays in the open-air amphitheater.
Want a top-drawer, unique Louisville dining experience? 610 Magnolia has it for you.

Valentine’s Date with my wifey.
This place is hands down one of the best in the city.
Service, courses and ambiance were so on. All COVID ordinances were being followed to perfection and did not blemish the experience whatsoever.
Thank you Liz for answering my email and making our rez.
Thank you Alex for not hovering, articulately explaining the courses and keeping our glasses full.
Props to the kitchen, food was timed and temped to perfection. It all tasted phenomenal.
Sorghum butter? Dayummmm so fire. Well and the Penner Ash from Willamette.
For everyone forgot to mention we truly appreciate you as well. Thank you!
Peter Stocks
Michael, Lindsay, and the rest of the wait staff were incredibly accommodating and personable. We had a number of last minute changes and unique circumstances ,and service still went off without a hitch. This ,of course, speaks to the incredible skill of the kitchen as well. Every dish was inspired, delicious, and perfectly paced. I couldn't be happier with our experience at 610 Magnolia.
Jeff O'Dell
First and foremost, 610 Magnolia is OPEN FOR DINE IN, regardless of the red “x” on the Google lookup (as of 5 Jun 2020).
My wife and I had an amazing anniversary dinner, with every part of the meal exceeding our expectations. Seating was socially distanced, the restaurant was laboratory-clean, and the staff were all exceptionally disciplined with masks, gloves, behaviors, etc. Chef Ed Lee was in the kitchen himself, and turned out an a la carte selection that blew us away. Our mains included the Wagyu coullete and the tomohawk pork... both were elevated, delicious, and very filling. Though set course menus are not back yet, 610 Magnolia is well worth your time and money. Thanks especially to Liz for making us feel so welcome. Cheers, guys!
Megan D
Excellent cocktails, delicious food, and very friendly, attentive service. We can't wait to come back!
Jason Kyle
Great place to go if you aren’t that hungry haha. Amazing food and great experience from the chow, to the service, and the vibe. Took us a couple of times to get a reservation, and when we showed up for our 6:30 we were the only ones there. I was a little nervous at first being the only ones in the restaurant, but it soon picked up and was abustle with the local Louisville elite. My personal favorite dish was the beef tongue sandwich and I HIGHLY suggest getting the beverage pairing. Showed me a whole new range of flavors and pairings I had previously only scratched the surface of. Thanks Ed Lee !
**Dont let the neighborhood fool you either. This is a top notch spot.
Vincent Foley
Incredible experience! Chef Lee came by and spoke with us. Generous wine pours. Not cheap by any means. It would be nice if they had a space for large parties. The group behind us were constantly talking over one another in some serious"one up-manship" competition.
Melanie Harris Rowan
610 Magnolia - Not what I expected, but tonight’s tasting menu selections were good.
Ben Hogsed
Edward Lee is somewhat of a celebrity in Louisville. While milkwood, his more casual restaurant is good, this is phenomenal. Seating is by reservation only and often made weeks in advance. A wonderful chef's tasting menu that shows with the seasons awaits you, as well as a variety of special event dinners. Truly a Louisville treasure.
Tony Anderson
Let’s talk about 610...please. I’ve been twice in a 2 year spread. I hear people rave about this spot (as well as the chef who started it). Hell, we even bought his recent book, which is fascinating. I’m not a hater, I support chef Lee and what he’s brought to the table in Kentucky, but I think 610 needs an overhaul. To nail the 610 concept, you need Ed cooking. He’s the soul - the heart. And without him managing quality control, you get what 610 currently is, which is average. Ambiance: 3/10. Frigid dining room with unimaginative and uncomfortable seating. No outdoor patio. Food: 6/10. Imaginative concepts, but generally under salted and lacking in memorability outside the amuse bouché BLT, which is easily the best bite of the night. $95 for the 6 course menu - aggressively priced. Wine: 5/10. Some good bottles (and some of them aged) but the standard 3x price markup and no corkage fee for outside wine. Welcome to Kentucky. Also, we went on a Friday night and the somm wasn’t in? Seriously??? Friday night? When we got the bill (I paid for the wine on one separate check and my other guests paid for food on another check) and we were EACH charged the 18% service fee. That’s 36% buddy...not 18%. Poorly executed program. The staff is attentive and kind, but Ed needs to whip this place back into shape if it’s ever going to be half as good as the vision I think he has for it. We went and got pizza after we finished eating here and I wished we’d skipped 610 altogether. Would have saved hundreds of dollars and our Friday night.
Greg Kimberlin
Attended a private dinner that Chef Lee hosted. This was the best meal I have eaten in years. 8 courses and they built on each other. I had many things I would never order but was FANTASTIC.
Ryan Fagan
BEST.MEAL.EVER. If you haven't been yet, you need to go. This place would easily be a 2 or 3 star Michelin restaurant if it were in a larger city and the cost would be 2-3 times as much easy. One of the absolute best meals of my life. Highly recommend.
Kevin Kryah
A sophisticated and rich tasting experience. The wine pairing is worth it, but their cocktails are also a good choice.

I was so excited to try this restaurant having seen the awesome write-up in Gourmet magazine. I have to honestly say though, I was disappointed with the food; specifically my entree, which was a hawaiian fish (escarole) over a rice cake. My dates entree however was outstanding: it was an extremely tender pork. I kept leaning over to eat his! My fish entree was undercooked in the middle and dry on the outside and generally flavorless. The rice cake did not help although the sauce was very good. The appetizers, although very small, were very good; especially the smoked duck slice and the bacon bite. Our server suggested a french red table wine, which is perfectly acceptable given the fact that my date had meat and I had fish -- but a viognier would have been so much better. I wanted to order a viognier but allowed the server to talk us into a french red! (note to self: next time go with your inner instincts!) Do not get me wrong -- french red table wines can be awesome but can also be completely wrong depending on the food and in this case, it just did not work. For dessert I ordered chocolate -- normally anything with choclate is what I love: I was incredibly disappointed. It was a white pudding (I do not know what else to call it b/c it was so nasty) with what was supposed to be chocolate ganache on top with chocolate curls. It honestly tasted like something you would get at a school cafeteria. It was gelatanous and gross. I am a chocolate lover and this had to be the worst dessert I have ever had. Just plain awful! (my dates was ok -- it was a napolean) Anyway, for the expensive price; I would absolutely suggest you try a different restaurant. I dined at Corbetts a few weeks back and it blew 610 out of the water....sorry to say but that is how I feel. Overall, high marks for service, quaint ambience, good appetizers, decent wine list. Low marks for my entree and dessert (the main part of the meal), food just did not impress :(
CarmelThunder
Where do I start, shout out my main mans Rob, these dishes were so clean I could see my reflection. I was so focused how clean the silverware was I didn't notice when my food got to the table. All I can say is the dishes were superb and so was the food.
Steve Discont
610 Magnolia is the best meal that I've ever had in my life. I am not exaggerating. I went here to celebrate a very special occasion, and the server was absolutely accommodating. Their menu changes fairly seasonally (as they base what they get on local-ish ingredients), meaning that each time you go will probably be a unique experience. Do yourself a favor: GO!
Craig Rutkowske
A great experience and well worth the visit, but definitely on the pricy side of things. A few things worth noting:
-The restaurant is pri fixe, there is no menu to just choose a single entree from for example
-There was a 4 course and a 6 course option, both have wine pairings available
-The food was excellent, though portions are kept rather small given the number of courses you're working through (I got the 4 course and left full)
-Service was excellent, very attentive & courses were timed very well
-We came in the evening so it was dimly lit and not too noisy, a wonderful place for a date in my opinion
Matt K
Food and service was spot on. Definitely worth a visit if you manage to get a reservation.
Todd Gray
An incredible tapestry of tastes and textures graced my taste buds. The menu was fantastic, and the service was spot-on. What an incredible experience. If you are in Louisville, you MUST come here

Off the hook delicious. EVERY course, every wine pairing. JUST perfect . IF I could chose my last meal it would be here, what ever they are serving. Great job Mr. Lee.

This is a Louisville must. Chef Edward Lee came to Louisville and conquered it with this restaurant. We don't have a lot of restaurants quite like this in Louisville. Go there... Especially if you're a foodie and just visiting.
