Reviews of Viva Las Arepas
Leo Martinez
Friendly staff. Bilingual, the place is clean and chill.
The food is very very good. I highly recommend stopping by. I recommend the passion fruit water. The empanadas ( shredded beef). Go and enjoy.
Cam B
AMAZING. WOOD FIRED BEEF WAS DELICIOUS. VEGETARIAN OPTIONS AS WELL. FAIR PRICES FOR WHAT YOU GET.
#13. Arepa Cachapa is super good as well. Plus the homemade sauces are amazing! You will not have any regrets eating here.
Sav H
Really good arepas. They fill them up and have great flavour. They are gluten free and safe for celiacs. We had 5 types and they were all delicious. The plantains were really good too. You can also get gelato. I wish I could go back!
Vlad Micu
Not cheap, but worth every penny! Places serving any kind of (in this case mesquite) wood-grilled meat are hard to come by and wood hasn’t become any cheaper these days, so this is definitely a place worth trying if you’re into that. Consider it an investment in your taste buds.
The gluten free Arepas are awesome and made with quality corn flour. The most popular one is the #1 beef arepa and seriously just start with that one. Might appear overpriced, but remember where you are and really the quality makes it worth it.
I was there with a friend so we each had an Arepa (#1 and #11) plus we shared a one person mixed grill with the yuca fries and plantains. Skip the regular fries and go for the yuca fries, seriously! All of this left us very satisfied, but yeah the total cost plus a 20% tip was $60.
Friendly bilingual staff, family friendly place and clearly a staple with the locals. Don’t miss out if you’re nearby!

We really enjoyed the meal here.
The grilled meat was yummy and went nicely with arepas
We love their fried yuca roots, it's 10 times better than fries!
Swapna Madhan
We went for lunch on a weekday. No wait time , it's a self service place. Food was made fresh and tasted great. Indoor and outdoor seating arrangements can easily accommodate large group.

Honestly I would rate it 4.5. Overall really delicious and happy to see vegan options but would love to see more vegan alternatives and more variety sauces. Super yummy Strawberry Frescas! 👍🍓✌️ …

I went to try this restaurant on Saturday, March 5 and I went along with my two best friends and my partner and we thought it was absolutely delicious! I got the chicken and Carne Asada arepa with lettuce tomato avocado and cheese and it was so delicious! My other friend also got a carne asada arepa and spicy wings with fries. I tried there passion tea and that was my favorite drink in this trip. When we arrived there was probably about four couples in there eating but by the time that we were leaving there was a long line of people and I tell you know that there’s a restaurant is so delicious and everything is made from scratch and get to see the ladies making it in the back. Also it is very clean and then on top of it as soon as someone leaves someone goes in and cleans it but I definitely recommend and I will definitely go back again!

The food was soooo good. I had the pork ribs with fries, black beans, and a plain arepa. The meat was so flavorful and tinder! The beans were seasoned so good as well. My friend had the Carne asada arepa with avocado and he inhaled it lol. I ordered the Maltin drink because it was described as a mix of coke and Dr, Pepper. Boy is that a terrible description. I hated the drink lol. Anyway, If you're in Vegas definitely stop by this place. It's at the end of the strip and the Deuce bus drops you off right in front.

You smell the mesquite smoke when you enter the restaurant. The Parrilla Mixta por una persona es muy Bueno. They are friendly and the wood (mesquite) fired smoked meat is great. The salad has a different dressing which is very good.

"En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo, y de El Espíritu Santo, Amen.
Ok mijo, tell me how have you sinned."
"Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. My last confession was 30 years ago but I have committed a grace injustice to my love..."
"My child, God provides forgiveness for those that--"
"Las Vegas has extravagant buffets, posh hotel choices, and standard fare. Yet, tucked away between the modern Las Vegas Strip and the OG Freemont / Downtown area you have Viva Las Arepas, which rivals any food experience you'll have in Las Vegas."
"Wait, are we talking about food--"
"As an avid taco enthusiast, it may strike some as antithetical that a taco connoisseur would spend time at an arepa shop. I would agree and prayed to the taco Gods that--"
"Mijo , there are no--"
"they would not judge me. I stopped by as they were one block away and walking distance from my start at The Strat."
"You went to Las a Vegas and this is the sin you are--"
"As soon as you walk in the brightly colored menu jumps at you and the restaurant is adorned with pictures of the plates but gives a lively atmosphere. After some friendly discussion with Roberto, who was super helpful and educational in his Venezuelan creations, we ended up getting a Pabellón Arepa (Beef, Black Beans, Plantain & Cheese) and a Cachapa (w/ carne machada) along with una agua de Mango y una agua de panela."
"Son, is this a confession or are you reviewing--"
"YES, I must confess! It started with the drinks. The panela (sugar cane) was delicious; I expected this very sweet drink but it was carefully balanced and oh my god--"
"You actuallu shouldn't say --"
"Yes sorry, but then the mango drink, it tasted so fresh, it was better than any mango drink I've had at any taqueria, aye Dios mío--"
"You said it again but in Spanish, you --"
"The Pabellón arepa came out and it was incredible, the beans and cheese played off each other so well but every now and then you'd get a bite of the plantain... that sweetness really added to the experience. The masa of the arepa is obviously homemade and had a great hold on the foods. Thin and crispy but still with heft.
But father... it was the arepa cachapa that has me confessing today, I have sinned."
"I have a feeling you haven't really sinned--"
"I fell in LOVE with this arepa cachapa! It's a masa of fresh corn with cheese and I added shredded beef (carne machacada). Father, I never saw thought I'd fall in love with another food that wasn't tacos but here I am. The arepa's fresh corn prep gave it a sweetness that matched a pancake with syrup without the overly saccharine feel of being at an iHOP. It truly was amazing, and the cheese pull, the seasoned beef, and the combo of flavor pulled my stomach and heart strings. It was love at first bite..."
"Why are you crying?
"I've committed adultery to my beloved tacos, I can't believe I gave my heart to another Latina concoction that has stolen--"
"Adultery only applies to people, not tacos or arepas!"
"Wait, what?"
"Did you seriously come here to repent for betraying your love for tacos?"
*silence*
"My son, there's a box of tissues by your left knee to wipe away your tears and to clear your nose."
"Thank you father. I'll be on my way then, my conscience clear from any wrong doing. Peace and chicken grease be with you."
Pro tip: Go with a group of folks and order a few and then cut them in half and try them, they are so worth multiple bites but with there big size you prolly wont able to unless you're a glutton like me and go to church confess.
April Casey
Best food I ate all weekend. Good gluten free options can be hard to find but the arepas here are incredible, not to mention extremely affordable. For the cost of one cocktail at any casino you can get 2 arepas and a drink too. I highly recommend the pineapple drink.
J. D.
Food was mediocre. There was a chicken bone in my arepa and a hair in my cheese empanada. Flies inside the restaurant bothered me the whole time as well. Seemed like I was bothering the cashier with ordering. I won't be back.
Michael Patry
The food was very flavorful. The price was a bit high. 1 wood fired beef arepa, 1 cheese empenada, 1 can coke was over $16. It is worth trying if you are in the area.
Mary Blasingame
This Venezuelan Eatery just north of the strip is the TRUTH!
I have NEVER had a Arepa this packed with flavor and meat! It was the size of a BURGER!
The Hallaca, a Venezuelan Tamala wrapped in Banana Leaf was tender and succulent. Filled with Savory beef and Sweet plantains.
If your in the area, put on your to EAT LIST!
Teresa Widmann
Delicious!
Of course I asked for the Papelón con limón
Whenever we go next year to Vegas this is the only spot that we are going to go!
Rebekah Diaz
Wow. 10/10!! EXCELLENT. If you are looking for Spanish food, this is the place!! Excellent service. Our food was served prompt and fresh!! Both the Arepa and the Empanada were the best we’ve ever had! We will be back!! Amazing.
Jason Garner
Great Venezuelan food. Arepas, of course, but also empanadas and other traditional Venezuelan dishes. If you're looking for something different, give it a try.
tony Jimenez
I kind of got mixed feeling about this place but I’ve only been here once so I really can’t tell if they are good or not. Not only that keep in mind that I’m used to diferente type of Hispanic food from a different region in total I bought 4 arepas and 2 drinks I enjoyed 2 of my arepas the other 2 were ok my drink did taste nasty I had a mango drink but I am giving this place a 5 star because the service was good and when I went up to the counter to tell them I did not like my drink the lady working the cash register said no problem bring them back I can give you your money or just tell me what other drink you want and really the best part about it is that she didn’t judge she was genuine about replacing my drink or giving me my money back

The food was SO good!
I ordered the chicken arepa and platanos dorados!
I've never had an arepa but wow they were SO good.
The chicken was like chicken you make for tinga stuffed in a thick tortilla kinda like a torta style. They also add cheese and lettuce! It was an interesting take. I enjoyed it!
The platano was good too, nice and crispy.
Price was kinda high but for the quality of the food I don't mind!
The line is ridiculous & goes out the door most of the time so you better be willing to wait!
Richard Sulls
The arepas are always delicious but you really have to try the cachapa w/ shredded beef! The mixed plate is some of the best bbq you can find in town! Don’t skip this place
Jasmine Sun
you can definitely tell that the food is made to order. my party and i were both divided on whether or not we felt like the cost was justified. some felt like it was pricey ($8 for 1) others felt it was justified bc the food was fresh.
Avocado Mocha
This beef arepas is amazing. It’s soft and juicy. We had to reorder. This is no less than the famous celeb restaurant in the strip. Def recommend
Eric Bliss
My wife has lived in Caracas so when we came to Vegas, we walked up the Strip past the Stratosphere and found this hidden gem. There's a covered patio though we ate inside to get out of the cold. We shared fried plantains, a pollo asada arepa and frijoles negros y queso arepa. Que rico! My wife was very pleased...I couldn't have surprised her with a better meal. Authentic for sure! And one of the best meals ever and it was cheap! We'll be back everytime we return to Vegas. 5 stars!
Erik Catlin
Very clean restaurant. The food is top notch. Super friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you're in Vegas.
Brian M.
I ordered what the shift recommended which was a kind of Venezuelan beef sandwich number one on the sandwich type portion of menu and I also ordered a beef sealed up little thing which was great too. But the reason that I'm writing this review is because the green sauce and the white sauce were both Beyond excellent. I was very impressed a little bit spicy but I love spice. I will be going back when I get back up to Vegas and I will be writing down the names of stuff including those sauces. It was kind of a taste bud heaven
Mr. Phil
Love this place! You can see the wood they use for cooking stacked outside. The corn flour they use for these is gluten free if you need that. It's on the bus route from the strip to downtown in the heart of sketchy town which makes it even better. Dirty Vegas! Restaurant is clean and safe. Food is affordable and fantastic. Pass on the french fries and go for yucca fries.
Ashlee Wilmier
Amazing food. Couldn't decide what we wanted and definitely over ordered. All of the choices were delicious.
Mackenzie Sage
We checked this place out for lunch and we were not disappointed. Next time we are in Vegas will will be returning! Friendly staff and the food was amazing. We tried the arepa pabellón, arepa cachaba, and arepa reina pepiada and they were all fantastic.
Irvine Montebello-Alvarez
The bean and cheese empanadas were scrumptious! The carne asada arepa was good too.
Catherine Nikkel
After a long day (what day in Vegas isn’t on vacation?!) and while waiting for our red eye flight home — we decided to stop in here based on location and a love for Venezuelan food. This spot had friendly service, super helpful with the menu. The location is in a less busy spot and set up similar to a fast food restaurant but was clean and plenty of room.
We ordered the Arepas (veggie), empanadas (beef), plantain + one of the chicken meals. Also enjoyed the pineapple and passion fruit juices.
Very affordable + tasted quite authentic! Very pleased
Kara Waller
The food was definitely amazing. Located near old Vegas. Some surrounding areas are a little sketchy, but if you're looking for something off the beaten path with authentic flavor, this is it.
Andrew Hansen
This is fast food. My five star review is given in light to two things: 1, I’m not that familiar with Venezuelan food, so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. And 2, This is fast food, so fast food quality and expectations.
One Arepa and one side is all you need for a full meal, not even necessarily the side. One Arepa is pretty filling. I order the pork butt, the veggie, and the fried plantains. All were great. I could eat fried plantains every day of the week.
Service was quick, prices were reasonable. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Chandra Gipson
Too die for wood-smoked meats...tried a sampler and my personal fave was the carne asada 😋 💜
Horace Tong
Amazing! Arepas in Las Vegas. It was my first time trying this particular dish and the waiter was amazing. Not only engaging and friendly, but patient and explaining the differences and open to recommending what he likes. Had an amazing meal and I think him and the team
Scott Allen
Incredible arepas!!! Honestly everything was amazing and I'll be going here every time I come back to Vegas!
Naomi Leonard
Arepas were fresh. It tasted great with the sauces that were provided
Dan
Definitely advantage is to having two languages, you can order in English and Spanish, the food was absolutely awesome, very filling, to the point of where my fiancé who is really trying to hard to watch her calories was ready to down two more of the corn and cheese arepas. All of their food was excellent. Looking forward to my next opportunity to go there with my lady.
Christopher Ostrowski
A family-owned business with a big heart. They deserve all the success they can get! I'm a delivery driver with over 6,000 deliveries under my belt. I came in on a rainy day for a delivery, and left with some delicious food and a lot of respect. Support them if you can.
David allen Pierce
This wonderful restaurant is a go to when ever I am in the neighborhood. The food is always fresh and great tasting. When you walk in the place you can smell the mesquite wood burning that they use to cook their meats over the grill.
Yoliem
This place makes delicious Venezuelan food freshly made. Their service is exceptional. I was stuffed with just a few items we ordered since they have large serving portions.
Cat Garcia
Everything we ordered was delicious! We went twice since we were staying at the Strat. The menu is easy to understand. The food was ready pretty quickly.
Cheryl Harne
Some things are excellent, and some things not as much. Food is certainly getting more expensive. It was over 8 dollars for one 4 inch arepa. The shredded beef always tastes good. The reina pepiada is the best I've tasted in town, besides the msg reaction that I always get to it. This time I got the veggie, which was disappointing. Beans were bland today. Other days the beans are good. It was MOSTLY bean... I asked to add cheese to my arepa, and it was 1$ extra for cold, PROCESSED, cheese. It looked like white American cheese... that was very disappointing. I was hoping to not spend much for a couple arepas, just a small bite, but I spent 23$ total, for 2 and a bottle of water, plus 15% tip. Not terrible, but I was reality hoping it would have still been one of my inexpensive and good options.
I wouldn't mind spending that much if they used non GMO corn and real cheese.
They're so nice there, honestly. Try it. Try the Reina pepiada. All the meat tastes nice and smokey. I just don't think it's a good idea anymore, for my financial and physical health... just not worth it. Systemic inflammation, weight gain, processed cheese... I guess I'm just too picky.
Atmosphere is casual, but great to me, bc they play good music... outside.
Mike McNamara
If your looking for some good Venezuelan food in old Las Vegas. Viva Las Arepas is the place to go. Open for two year in Las Vegas this is the place to go. We had Fried Yuca, wood fire beef, chicken, Reina and Black Bean and Cheese arepas. Soooo good!
Uriel Rodriguez
Very clean food. No grease, tons of flavor. Will be coming back frequently.
Scott
We tried the fired beef, fired chx and shredded beef arepas. The shredded beef was by far the most flavorful. Arepas feel heavy in your hand and are filling. About the same price as a fast food burger but more food and better flavor IMO. GLUTEN FREE.
J. Sorensen
Flavorful, Quick, Delicious
I’ve never eaten Arepas until this, and I’d say it was a great first experience.
Not often am I in Las Vegas, but when I am, I will be visiting this place.
Service was helpful, food was great, and it didn’t take long to get my food.
Recommend 👍🏻
Alli
I ordered delivery and got 2 arepas. They were so yummy! They were exactly what I was craving. I ordered a wood fire shredded chicken one and a Pabellion.
Naizareth Rodriguez
Came from New Jersey just for a day and found this spot. Food is delicious. I tried the shredded beef empanada and the cachapa with cheese. So yummy! I’m originally from Venezuela btw

Been coming here since I moved to Vegas and found about it about 4 years ago. Clean, friendly, great staff.
Arepas, empanadas, grilled meats(any), plantains, rice, beans, fresh juice, flan, whatever you want, they have and it’s well seasoned and fresh. DEFINITELY try the arepas. That’s the specialty. I drive for a living and good, quality, quick (non fast-food) food is important and hard to find. Many times I wait to eat until I’m in the area.
My go to “popcorn” snack is the chicharrón with yuca fries. No fork. Throw them in two cups and eat them like popcorn with sauce on the side.

Venezuelan deliciousness!!!! Arepas. Cachapas. Jugo de parchita. Tajadas. Papelón. Tequeños. Friendly and bilingual nice staff. Clean place. If you want to try Venezuelan food in Vegas you should come here.Highly recommended!!!
Carlos C
Great customer service. Food was prepared in adequate amount of time.
Ordered the recommended: Pernil and Carne Asada with side of platano con crema.
The carne was a little dry, but otherwise delicious with provided sauce.
Pernil was flavorful tender and juicy.
Although I did not sample, there is a bakery with what looked like decadent options.
Vanessa D
The arepas were good... we got the traditional carne asada aprepa and a chicken aprepa. I got the woodfire meat plate which comes with two sides. I got black beans and salad. We then also got the cichapa, which is a sweet corn cake quesadilla is how I would describe it. And a sweet coconut and cheese bread.
The grilled meat was ok.... nothing special and no really flavor. The black beans had a strong cumin flavor; more than I cared for and the salad was definitely not fresh.
Each arepa was equally good but nothing special. And the cichapa was totally not what I was expecting. I love sweet corn cake and cheese.... but not together. I learned that this day. Oh we also got the fried yuca and chicharron... but far the best thing... at least for me. The desert was good... reminded me of sweet candied Mexican coconut. Oh! How could I forget each order comes with two sauces. A cream based sauce which was really great and a spicy green salsa which was too spicy for my weak tastebuds.
Honestly I don't feel this place represents the great Venezuelan food. Ok.... but not great. I know there is better out there. But I will say the resturant is super cute with lovely art on the walls framed by the bright and warm yellow wall paint. Furthermore the staff was very friendly.
Nicholas McLaughlin
Absolutely amazing restaurant. The carne asada arepas and plantains were out of this world. The people working there were very nice and helpful- all around good vibes. The parking lot is a bit small but I had no issues getting a spot. They have a great outdoor seating area.
Jacob Elder
This place is affordable and amazingly good! Recommend for a cheap, filling, and excellent meal. Got the pabellano after lady at front said it’s easily the best thing on menu
Hajnalka Dénes
Delicious authentic Venezuelan food, arepas are very tasty and decently priced. Free and easy parking outside.
Daniel Delgado
The food, the hype, and recommendations are true. The arepas are fresh with plenty of meat or whatever you decide. They have a vegan stuff arepa as well. They are open 7 days a week from 8am till 10pm. You can find multiple dishes, like chicken, rice, tostones, empanadas, appetizers, etc. The sauce great and I just know I will visit again. Enjoy it.
Hans Rawhouser
The taste of the arepas was good, but I'd say the price ($6 for an arepa, with now extras, added fee for avocado or cheese) was a bit high for a fairly small portion. We had some gelato (a bit expensive) in the attached gelato shop
Amy Bhojwani
Best place to eat in Vegas (including the strip). Got the vegetarian arepa and added plantains to it and it was amazing especially with the two sauces they gave. Also got the yuca fries (a bit too salty for me). Prices are amazing for the amount and quality of food you get. This is must anytime I’m in Vegas.
Kellan Bouwman
Wonderful food, amazing atmosphere and unique style and place. I loved everything that I saw and ate and drank. The unique drinks and food makes the unique vibe come alive. It is quite cheap but the food is great quality and the area is very very clean.
Louis Gonzalez
Quality so good they don’t need to hire females to attract customers. I’ve had their Reina and pabellón arepas both are delicious.
Garrett Williams (The Traveling Bamboo)
Delicious and well priced food! Worth the trip to this side of the strip, if you don't want to spend a lot of $$ for something different.
Ruben Vera
Great Tasting Authentic Venezuelan Food.

Must try!!! Best arepas I have ever tasted. The portions are big and they are stuffed well. My favorite was the pernil (pork shoulder) and I put some green sauce in it. The meat was so juicy and flavorful. We will be back before we leave Vegas.
Monica Williams
Amazing food!!! It's so good and authentic; such a great place for groups. I tried it for the first time just a few weeks ago and ive gone back 3 times already! I go here with friends and I always try something new! Everything I have tried has bern so so so great. Great environment, awesome staff, and delicious food!!!
Andrea Gutierrez
Nto the best food, a little expensive to be honest for the size of the food. But it was ok tasting. Tried it, but don't think I will be back.
April Van Buskirk-Rader
This place is awesome. A Columbian friend of mine took us and I was blown away at the yumminess.
Kelton Shields
Food was delicious and full of flavor. Service was great. I would recommend and come back.
Jason Jimenez
This is my go-to spot every time I visit Vegas. I could get filled on the Cachapa and tostones and be happy but the best Arepas are the pork and beef. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything here and the best drinks are the mango or passion fruit aguas.
Syed Atif
Didn't enjoy the arepas....also, a bit pricy for arepas. With tax and tip, one chicken one cost me around $11
richard
Super 👌 good very nice place if you are in vegas that the way you arepa ajjajaj
AZADVENTURES
First time having an Arepa, it was very delicious (carne asada) the mango water very very delicious. The salsas they give also amazing delicious.
Steven Lam
Love Venezuelan food, the fire cooked steak is great and so is the pork butt. Very juicy and flavorful. The chicken is not dry and is grilled, which also tastes great.
Jessica B.
This was my second time eating here, and first time eating here while no longer eating meat. I was very happy to see veggie options; and they are very yummy! Will definitely come here again in future visits to Vegas. I recommend the passion fruit juice!
Suyog
A unique experience by itself . Food is great and authentic which is pretty hard to find nowadays. It's delicious and fresh . It's counter service so be ready for that. Do try fried plantains, yucca roots and rice
Lillian Weycker
The food was exactly what I wanted. Different and delicious! I ordered the poblano, which is one of the more expensive arepas(only$9), and it was so worth it! The plantains in it really add an extra dimension of flavor. It was very filling for me as a 130lb woman, but you might want to add another item or side if you’re bigger. Staff was nice too.
Blake Porter
Words can’t express how much I love this place. The best! My wife has celiacs as well and they do an awesome job with gluten free.
Robert Costantini
Budget eats! Venezuela "Comfort Food" ! Very affordable! Ample portions. Beware-Arepas are very dense so don't over order thinking your not getting enough food.
Christopher O. Moore
4.25⭐ Delicious, quick, affordable Venezuelan fare; my first and only to my recollection. I'd been by this place regularly for about a year, vowed to drop in one day, and in the spur of the moment, got the chance to. Food was quickly yet considerably prepared in presumably traditional Venezuelan style. I started with fired grilled chicken and rice for simplicity sake. As anticipated, the chicken was great for my preferences (modestly flavored and crispy skinned). Also, had a pork Arepa, a thick cornmill or flour tortilla of sort, with various savory fillings. Look for to returning for different food.
Katie Hallock
After reading a ton of reviews, studying the menu and looking through pictures, I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. And I was more than pleased with the result!
I ordered a cachapa (a corn pancake folded in half and filled with cheese) and added their Pulled pork butt with a side of yuca fries. All of this was just under $12 and provided enough food that I took half home (even after sharing the yuca with my hungry nine month old son).
I've never had a cachapa before and have nothing to compare it to. Nor have I had Venezuelan pork. But both were everything I was hoping they'd be and more! The corn Pancake was super moist and the flavor of corn came right through. The layer of cheese was very thick, very melted and very gooey - perfect! And the Pulled pork? Shredded, tender and covered in a sweet sauce (it reminded me of a BBQ sauce).
The yuca fries were thick and unevenly cut -crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They were mildly salted and definitely needed their cilantro sauce. But they were quite nice!
I can't wait to go back and bring my husband and anyone else that visits us! I have to say that I'm so in love with what I ordered the first time that it will be hard to try something new...but maybe another meat or sweet plantains to share??
Chloee Butterfield
Hit this little gem on our last Vegas trip and ohhhhhh man we LOVED it! Food was just so good. All of the meat was delicious and tasted quality. The sauces put it all over the top. The authenticity of the menu and staff created an awesome experience for us. Prices were right on. If you haven’t had an arepa- this is the place to try one.
Richard Harris
Immaculately clean and well lit and beautifully decorated and the Arepas are addictive!
Fast friendly service.
Plus they are gluten free!
Taylor Irene
I’ve never had Venezuelan food before because I never thought it would be vegetarian- but these guys have vegetarian arepas with the best black beans I have ever had my whole life. My boyfriend really enjoyed the whole chicken! 🤣
Manny vaz
Arepas are Amazing, Prices are also Great. Great Customer service and The passion fruit Drink is absolutely amazing.. Definitely a must when in Vegas if not a local Like myself..
Jonathan Bradley
This is a must every time I come back to Vegas. There smoked chicken is the best I have ever had. Even if I am only in town for just a day or two this place is on my list as a must.

The service, location, the people, everything in that sense was perfect and great. The latte coffee from the other small store inside was incredible, totally recommend to go and buy it after the food choices. On the downside, the food didn't have the Venezuelan taste that we were looking for, we were thrilled to go to this place in the middle of nowhere Vegas to have a back to the past breakfast, but didn't happen. The "Reina Pepiada" (avocado chicken) wasn't the real one, it was more pollo guisado with guasacaca (not the avocado mix to use for), the "Carne Mechada" (shredded meat) was not the real one, was more adobada meat (carne guisada) instead. The arepas and empanadas flavor were good but aren't big, so order a couple of each one in order to fill the stomach.
Magdalena Kubátová
Absolutely amazing! We had the pabellon and the reina pepiada arepas with the homemade mango juice and it was soooo delicious. Service was fast and the man behind the counter was incredibly nice. The place itself is very pretty, clean, welcoming and, considering the location and the size of the portions, really cheap!! Would absolutely recommend

First time here, but my wife's niece is a Las Vegas local and comes here all of the time. We wanted a "Vegas" local place, that isn't packed with tourists, and is unique. This is the place. The neighborhood is kind of sketch, but the food was good. I didn't know what Arepas were so I got the pork spare ribs, which were tasty and plentiful. The Arepas were great and I'm definitely getting that next time. Think a sandwich/sopa. Oh, I had to get the plantains too.
Y Z
I got a mango drink and a cold shrimp arepa, both were tasty and suitable for the hot weather!
Harry James Hanson
This place rocks!!!!! Better food & better value than anything on the strip or downtown honestly. Fresh ingredients, expansive menu, very friendly service.
The arepas are great obviously but also the French fries somehow taste like McDonald’s??? (That’s a compliment!!!)
Will be back every time I’m in town! 💕
Roxana Gatogato
It’s the first time in my life I’m trying arepas! 🤤 they are delicious 🤤 omg 😳 …
JR Ortiz
We found this place by pure chance. We were just driving down Las Vegas Blvd and saw it as we drove by. We decided to try it and we were glad we did. The arepas are delicious. So crispy and moist. My favorite dish though is the Pabellón plate. Delicious shredded beef with just as delicious white rice. I'm not sure how they season the rice but it had such a unique and subtle taste. The plantains are nice and sweet and make a great dessert. This is definitely a must try spot for anyone looking for something unique, authentic, and off the strip.
Ashwini S
Great arepas. They tasted absolutely fantastic
Luis Areta
Awsome place to eat Venezuelan arepas. We ate a couple of them at breakfast time during our stay at Las Vegas then we were ready for the day. Really well done. The place is nice and friendly.
Alexander Yanez
Was a trip in Vegas and my girlfriend and I went. She actually lived in Venezuela for some time so of course we had to go!
Got some arepas, empanadas and tequeños. Forgot to get cachapas.
Experience was great. Good customer service and even better food. I really like that they had Malta (drink) as many places don’t carry those.
Will return on my next visit!
Camilo M
Awesome spot. The Arepas were so good I had to go twice while in Vegas. Was here on a very political day in Venezuela and the place was packed. Their steak is amazing and their chicken to.
Melissa Velez
This place had variety and delicious food! Not up for a filling arepa? Then just get a couple empanadas! The cilantro salsa is delicious as well. Basically put that on everything. Cannot say enough about this place especially the customer service. Went there every day that we stayed in Vegas.
Claudio
Not real venezuelan food. Kind of. For non venezuelan people I guess food will be good here, but if you are venezuelan you will get disappointed. The coffee was horrible, they don't offer espresso here, or cafe con leche. Just American coffee and skin milk at the side. In my opinion an insult for latin Americans, Italians and Spanish people. If you are American it is good though, I guess.
Shaun Williams
Tequenoes were good. Much larger in size than I've usually find. Restuarant is run well, clean and organized. Parking is limited, but general area is highly walkable.
Jenna Khivka Pratt
only the second place I've had arepas. mine was ok but empanadas were really good. the kids hated it but managed to not die from the experience
the attached bakery has good stuff too
George Serrano
A surprise in the desert, like an oasis! Great comfort food and if you're looking for something different this isn't a tourist trap. A great meal for the price ,Viva Las Arepas!😃
Ariel Ramos
This place is great, I would definitely go back, plenty of seating, great environment inside and the food was great, would recommend, prices were fair and they have a varied selection.
Nona Moss
This time I promised myself I'd do them justice and leave a review. I ordered #12, Pabellon, which is shredded beef, cheese, black beans and plantain, and it does not disappoint. For a mere $7 and some change, and for being an authentic boulevard eatery, it's worth it! The only downside would be that they close early, but the place seems family owned, so that's understandable. Do yourself a favor and stop by.
GRADD CO
This is such a wonderful restaurant. Great tasting Venezuelan food and fantastic service, in a beautiful/clean dining room along the Las Vegas Strip, near the Strat. Make this one of your stops if you're a local or visitor.
Jacob Wilson
A highlight for my Las Vegas visit. A short walk from the Strat requires navigating a bit of sketchy construction, certainly worth the journey.
Vegetarian? Gluten free? No dairy? They've got it. Great customer service and introduction to this delicious and versatile food.
Marianne Marquez
The location is a bit iffy but the food is worth the possibility of a stab wound. Would not miss stopping here when in Vegas. I highly recommend the yucca fries
Aj W
The food here is delicious!!! There is not a lot of space to park but it's still worth the trip. I had a chicken & beef empanadas, plantains, and some mango juice and everything was good. I think my bill was $14 and some change.
Andrei Jacobs
Very good food and cheap when your on the northern end of the Strip and staying at the Strat. Will most definitely go back for the value and delicious food!
Levi Rubin
I was wanting something unique while I was traveling, and this satisfied that urge as there aren’t any specifically Venezuelan restaurants where I’m from. I ordered a vegetarian arepa, which appeared to be interesting. It was very good, and the restaurant provided extra sauces to make it even better. However, it’s pretty small (about English muffin sized), so it certainly won’t fill you up, which I guess it’s fine considering its low cost. The main issue that I had was that the staff was mopping the floors (this was at 8:45 A.M., so that’s certainly something that should have happened during closing instead of while there were customers at the beginning of the day before any messes had accumulated. Having the smell of the mop made my food less appetizing and made it more difficult to enjoy the restaurant atmosphere
Ron Odle
Busy location in old Vegas. Everything seems to bee made fresh. The corn bread for the arepas was light and crispy. The sauce was homemade and could use a little tweeking but was otherwise good. The meat had a nice char. The interior was clean and updated. The service was excellent.
Da Man
Great Arepas! #3 is the bomb!!!! Very friendly. Great service. The pineapple drink is so good.
Chino Salazar
I used to go there every time I visit Vegas but this last time I can say it is not authentic Venezuela food anymore, I order a pabellon criollo y the meet was like fajitas and tasted horrible.
Daniel Holland
This Argentina Food Was So Good. I'll definitely will recommend to my peers about this restaurant
Harsit Patel
Been to many Arepas restaurants and this one is one of my all time favourites. Delicious Arepas that are soft and yummy. Empanadas are very good as well.
Ricardo Matias
big tequeños, was licking my fingers after these arepas - would give 6 stars if i could 🤌 …
Paola Trujillo
This place is extremely good, and reasonable prices. I order the arepa con pollo mechado, and an empanada de queso. They give you the order pretty quick, and the place was quite busy when ai went. I was visiting from another state, definitely coming back when in Vegas again.
Roxi Dlite
A Vegas favorite for me. I use to come here often when I lived nearby. Whenever I visit I return. Delicious food friendly people. Must try.
Sammy A.
Decent prices and great arepas!
Tasty and satisfying. I don’t really have anything to complain about and I am glad. I will come back when I visit Las Vegas again 👌🏽 …
Mrs Milstar
This place is a hidden gem! Arepas are so good! One arepa is good for one person. Very filling! Also try the empanadas!!! So good!😋 They have online ordering for pick up. However, I ordered online and when I got there 10 mins later to pick up, they hadnt even started my order. Had to wait 15 mins. 🙁 …
Israel Maysonet
Super good traditional venezolano food … the prices are reasonable… a must come eat if you like Venezuelan food … I give it a two thumbs up
Jacinto
Best place to eat in vegas, food it’s great , friendly staff and awesome prices
Vikrant Vikrant
It was open for Dine-in. Great Arepas, had Reina Pepiada and Roasted Pork one, both were amazing. Meat was tender and juicy, even sauces were nice. My vegetarian friend had Cachapa, he was impressed too! It's a good value deal too.
Chapi's Kitchen
Forge the strip, this is the only obligatory food stop I have while driving through Vegas. The cachapa (sweet corn pancake stuffed with melted cheese heaven) and Pabellón arepa (black beans, plantain, shredded beef, queso) are both To. Die. For.
Maria Nieves Brunet
We enjoyed our meals. Cachapa with beef, empanada, and rice and beans. Recommended.
Courtney Yeager
Wonderful arepas, the bean and cheese was the favorite.
Jen Chang
the fried banana is too dry. i dont like it. the sandwiches are soo good you should try them. the cron cheese is special and good. its sweet. i would come again. they give you sauce when you pick up your food.
Summer Corsaro
I am so thrilled to see this restaurant has opened up a second location in the northwest! Great food, their green sauce is addicting! Has lots of vegetarian options, as well as really good BBQ and gluten free items. Something for everyone! Food is so fresh and high quality, and the service is wonderful. Nice people! They deliver too, via Postmates.
Marina De Choudens
Best arepas I've ever had! And for a very reasonable price! You must try them!
Tam Gonzalez
No place like this in town! I’ve known the owner 20 years and he’s one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met. This food is freaking spectacular definitely try a shredded beef arepa with cheese and avocado as well as the mesquite grilled chicken.
Christopher Zahn
Amazing food!!! We look for gluten free dairy free meals and everything we ordered and they didn’t disappoint!
Gilbert Pierre-Louis
OMG first time but it won't be the last! Authentic and amazing. Someone suggested it and I said why not and boy I'm glad I did. To the owners 4*'s in my opinion is an excellent review for a location especially a non table service establishment. Now with that said you guy's did everything right during my visit and as a reviewer it would be extremely reckless on my part to handout 5*'s to every place I went just cause the establishment wanted to it. 5*'s means your perfect in every aspect and I can't give that off of my first visit unless I'm moved by my entire experience from start to finish. You have a great product and you should be proud but in my humble opinion I didn't have a 5* dining experience not that you guy's did wrong but it didn't meet that mark for me. Thank you.
Kyle Reyes
As my father is from Venezuela once I found out there was a restaurant with Venezuelan food it was a must that we go. It's a bit off the strip, but a quick Uber or Lyft will get you there in no time and it's well worth it.
They offer quite a few options for Arepas, as well as other meat dishes customary to Venezuela. It's easy to order as they have both an English menu & Spanish menu. I can't tell you one thing to choose, other than the Plantains are a must try. Otherwise, I'd say go a couple of times and just pick at random and you won't be disappointed.
Also make sure to try out the black beans, fruit juices, and the candy they sell!
Jonathan Greenstein
Awesomeness. A bit off the beaten path in Las Vegas but worth the detour and time. The food is amazing, the staff friendly and prices just right.
Best part is the huge gluten free options as they use corn as the base in most everything.
A favorite for me in Vegas.
rodny quiel
Awesome little place in the corner of Oakley and Las Vegas Bllv. Friendly service delicious 😋 food. …
CJ MM
What is there to say beside this is the best Venezuelan food in town! I'm always serve with smiles and a friendly atmosphere. Try the #2 (pictured) or #7, those are my favorites. A side of fried plantains always seals the deal (you can get it with or without sweet cream).
Nancy G.
Arepas! Yes!
We were introduced to this place in 2018 and, having never had arepas, our hosts suggested we try it. We loved it. We tried the savory Arepas stuffed with beef, chicken and a ham and cheese offering. The food and service are just as good on 2022. Don't let the size fool you. I barely got through one, since the corn meal fried pocket is very filling. Also enjoyed the mango juice beverage, and our friends raved about the sweet and savory types of empanadas.
Alex Tsui
Pork arepas and #12 arepas was amazing and the chicken is cooked to perfection with lots of smokiness and flavour
Amit Gil
Never had Arepas before, and we don't really have it where I live, so now I'm considering another trip to Vegas to eat there again.
rico
This food is bomb dot com. Lots of plastic. Could be zero waste but great food and price in vegas!
Sam Alterman
Hands down the best food we've had in Vegas. Everything was stellar.
Robert Strickland
This is a number 9. The vegetarian Arepa extremely delicious and always made fresh...! I recommend this authentic restaurant to anyone. I'm sure they will have many delicious items to choose from no matter what your preference as far as the style of diet that you have.
Eliza Doe
The food was delicious and flavorful I enjoyed it so much the only thing I would say I did not enjoy was the service it was my first time coming here so I got my order I realized it didn't have any sauce for the arepa, I asked the man who looked like he was a cook who seemed like he wasn’t busy because he was assisting in the front giving and calling out orders so I asked him for the sauce and instead of them being polite about me asking them for sauce which I had no attitude I just wanted to know if it came with sauce so I could just eat there instead so instead they told me no we don’t have any in a rude manner and didn't suggest me any sauce to use so I had a friend who was eating with me ask for one by ask another worker who looked like he was a cleaner there but look also like he worked In the front assisting sure again he had a attitude about it , I understand this restaurant gets busy and maybe you guys come across rude people on a day to day basis but instead of taking it out on people like myself who really enjoyed the food keep that energy to people who give it to you because I came in with no intention of being rude but after leaving I was absolutely bothered by the fact I was treated like that.
Carmen Brunette
Do your taste buds a favor and stop by. The mixed grill is amazing!
Mark Maxey
Excellent arepas and empanadas.
Molly Nestor
In from LA and stopped by on a whim. So glad we did! It was so good we didn’t have time for pics.
Adrian Barragan
Wood fired and Queso Arepas 🔥🔥🔥
Hayley
My favorite spot in Vegas, the food is incredible and they have tastiest drinks ever. I have been here numerous times and I’m always impressed.
Valerie Santa
The food is always so fresh! My BF went for the first time and we shared: tostones, fries, empenadas, and one Arepa. I make sure I go here Everytime I'm in Vegas.
Stephanie B.
Delicious, filling, the smoked chicken was very flavorful and delicious! The cilantro sauce was a nice addition, through the arepas were great without them. The fried plantains were caramelized and perfect. The mango juice was cold and fresh. Very nice place!
Jose Vargas
My to go place when I go to Vegas, I have to admit, each arepa is a little on the pricey side but worth it. Try their sauce and their passion fruit drink. The malt drink isn't really my favorite btw, but the food was great.
J R
The food was amazing, the staff very friendly. Would recommend this place to anyone.
luigithakiwi
Great selection of food. It's almost the same taste like Venezuela. Gratz to the owners.
Dejah Vu
Very good food. Great service at the counter the man was very knowable about the menu.
Robert Jurado
Good place to eat arepas. A little pricey, but overall worth it.
Joseph Ladd
This hidden gem offered insanely delicious Venezuelan food you didn't know you need in your life and will never be able to get enough of once you have it.
Janee Howard
Great arepas! My party got three different arepas they all were fresh flavorful and delicious. Even the fries and the juices were good!
Douglas H
Fantastic authentic food at reasonable prices. Like another reviewer I would give it 4.5. I loved the area and their salsa and sauce, plantains were good as well
Damon Bravo
This is likely not Venezuelan owned and operated but we did like the people inside working. Very nice and kind.
We had a Carne Asada Arepa the meat was good but didn’t seem like much meat inside the Arepa. It cost $9. We also had a Pabellon with beef. It was good. We got a Tequeno for $3.50 it was ok.
We just needed more meat inside them to get a higher rating.
Arlo Flynn
The mixed grill was AMAZING. Definitely hitting this place again next time I'm in Vegas.
Luis Yhansi
I brought my friends to try arepas after we had been in a “Venezuelan Restaurant” in LA and it was not what I was expecting but this new place at Vegas it was pretty amazing the attention to the public was pretty good, the restaurant was so clean, the food was so delicious and obviously the woman who attended us was less beautiful
Alberto Giron
Great arepas, we tried the savory ones (pabellón, and shredded beef) the sweet cachapa with cheese, and the plantains and yuca as sides. They were all great and this is for sure a place we are hitting again before going back home
Jon Grace
Best arepa I’ve ever had. Great food and great staff.
Silvia Chaves
Great Venezuelan food a little expensive, but great food
Lorenz Strie
Great place with amazing food. Fast service and very friendly. There are vegetarian as well as vegan options available. The arepas are gluten free. On top it is cheap. We came back for a second time during our three days trip because we liked it so much. Viva las arepas!
ajay parsram
Food is amazing at a great price. Owner is truly amazing came out to make sure our food was good. You need to check this place out stay away from the strip and casino and come here
Carlos Viscarra
Super delicious. Great service. Authentic venezuelan food.
Jim Neundorf
Never had Venezuelan before. Lots of meat. Done to perfection. So good.
Bob Naugle
They recently updated their outdoor seating. Food is always great.
Athena W
Amazing!! I'm actually sad there isn't an arepas place where I live. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for great authentic and flavorful food.
Mojahed Reaz
Great wood smoked flavor with strange Flamingo pink cafeteria setting that says pit stop only to fill and go,
Food Flavor with Fervor only
Chris Murphy
Lives up to the hype. The carne is amazing, everything tastes super fresh. The restaurant is clean and cool and a nice yummy break from the strip.
Denise Aguilar
The lady at the counter was so nice & patient while we were discussing what to order. The food was delicious & filling, definitely worth the prices. The interior of the restaurant had a nice atmosphere & there was plenty of seating. There was ample parking in the shopping plaza on a weekday night. I wish I had an arepas place this good nearby, I would definitely come back.
Chef Lex (Chef Lex)
Staff is great, food was delicious. Only Downfall is no napkins is carryout bag.
karen lee
First time trying Venezuelan food. Owner was very friendly, food was fantastic!
Mary Orejel
Best service best hostess which was a tall Gentleman who brought out our order to my table Great hands down service and food
Evelyn Aviles
This was my first time eating Venezuela food 😋 and the food was delicious the employees were very friendly and helpful i definitely recommend this place 👌. The Arepas are delicious. …
Maximilian Shakal
Food was OK
I had the hallecas - Venezuelan Christmas tamales. Mostly cornmeal and beans though...
Carlos A.
If you like arepas or have never had one, this is the place. Two is plenty, but if you're hungry, three will hit the spot.
Cynthia Cordero Colon
Omg the best arepas! Soo good i really enjoyed their food.
Ty W
You will always have an incredible meal with great flavor and sauces here. I have to go at least once a month without fail. So delicious and the staff is great.
Repsol Singh
I personally didn’t like it I’m sure its not there fault thats the only reason I’m giving 3 star
Jessica Grona (Jessie)
Absolutely delicious'
Andrea Melina N. Uribe
I loved the different options especially handmade and smoked cooked. Pricey but delicious.
Gene Sinner
Great place to stretch your tastebuds. The smoky flavor of the pulled pork blends nicely with with the corn patties that surround it in their delicious Arepas. I squirt both their green sauces on every bite. Chew slowly and savor the flavor, you'll be full after one, but if you have room, get a guava desert.
sylvia Serrano
I took my mom for the first time, she was amazed, she got the vegetarian arepa it was delicious the fresh water of panela i was in love with the taste ,it reminded me of my first trip to Colombia 😁 …
Keren Madriz
Great taste and price. Venezuelan authentic food
J. B.
sooo delicious! friendly staff and good prices
Maria R
Just take out arepas to go before flying out. Beef and breakfast arepas are awesome.. They were open at 8 am, very convenient.
Euri De Los Santos
Awesome spot. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend it if you fancy some authentic Venezuelan food
Valeria Valiente
You can smell the wood grilled meats when you drive within a block from this place. We got the large mix grill platter (chicken, beef, sausage and ribs, white rice and beans, delicioso!) And a side order of plantains. $40 before tip!
Mia Andrade
It’s a good place to eat at , good attention, but if your looking for a more Venezuelan food experience this may not be it , good for people who are just trying the eat some arepas but they don’t taste like arepas at all
Christian Gonzalez
Great place for authentic arepas. Great taste, fresh and fast.
Morgan Andersen
So delicious. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
Carla Hunt
Very nice Venezuelan food! I highly recommend this place and please try the Reina Pepiada arepa!! Tequeños are awesome as well.
CD Torre
Great Carne Asada with beans and rice. Meat was very flavorful and portions were good.
Julie
Got the Pabellon Arepa and it was amazing. Taste like grandma’s cooking at an affordable price!
Rees Tatge
Great food, a little bit of a strange spot on the strip, but good food and people.
McLane Travel
Gluten free Arepas! Who could ask for anything more 😊
Crispy outside and loaded with delicious ingredients inside. Reasonable pricing and incredibly friendly staff.
Great easy spot to get to just north of the strip.
#glutenfree #arepas
Todd Henderson
Try something different tonight ! This place rocks out the arepas! Lots of variety to chose from but take my advice, pork butt !
JJ Van Loo
Everything seemed maybe $1-2 more than it should have been anywhere other than in Vegas. But we loved it, decent vegetarian options and the arepas were great. Empanadas were the only disappointing item we got.
Miranda Idol
Excellent food - celiac and vegetarian friendly. Was having a difficult time on the strip finding anything to eat and felt very fortunate to have found this restaurant, about 15 minutes or so in a Lyft. Thank you for my delicious food and great atmosphere.
Russell Nasrallah
I used to eat heat when I lived in Vegas 7 years ago. Was so excited to go back and it’s just as good as it’s always been.
stephen parker
Great...I always eat here whe. We come to Vegas
Joey Vegas
If you don't mind the dilapidated location, it's a great place for casual dining.
Jerry Lopez
All the arepas are very good, but the reina pepiada, is a must try
Tom
Great food! It was some of the tastiest chicken I've had in a long time. Their chicken was smoked with mesquite. They have a desert counter that was epic. We got some macarons which were the best. I couldn't recommend this place more highly! Amazing meal. Great service.
Vallita HB
Food is good but not authentic Venezuelan food, so if you’re Venezuelan you will notice this. Arepas and empanadas are made with a different flour than corn and flavors of the meats taste more Mexican than Venezuelan. It’s not bad but not really authentic Venezuelan food.
D B
10/10. Come back often. Bring out of towners any chance we get
mischa friegang
Delirious, cheap and friendly staff. If you haven't had an Arepa before, go try one!
Jose Enrique Funes
Our first time eating there and we love it. The staff was very helpful and nice.
Andres Rojas
Great place to eat arepas and patacones , been in Vegas for over 10 years and there's no other spot in town that gets even close to making such delicious arepas gotta try them while you're in town 🤟
Michelle Isabel
Food was soo good I forgot to stop and take a picture. I tried a little bit of everything and my favorite was the wood fire beef arepa (with cheese) and the cheese pastilito!
Crystal Mefford
Very delicious and fresh. First time eating Columbian food and I loved it. Don't mistake this place for Mexican food it's way different. The price was not bad either.
Alisha Obando
This was our first time eating food from Venezuela. Food is amazing, staff wonderful and restaurant extremely clean and well taken care of. Came with 4 picky kids and they all loved it and even asked for seconds. My 10 year old even said it is her favorite restaurant ever. 100% recommend.
Mark Davis
Tried this place for 1st time today. The wood fire beef is fantastic. So much flavor and so much meat for a great price. The buns cant hold all the meat.
Elizabeth “Elizgangsta”
A must hit spot! Fast service and delicious food!
Clayton
Edit: The reason why I gave your restaurant a 4 star review is because while the food you serve is delicious it was the first time I had tried it, the 4 stars was more of how much I like the recipes rather than how well you guys made them.
I’m sorry for just leaving 4 stars and not adding any context.
Food was good.
Service was phenomenal.
Placed looked and smelled great.
Overall I really enjoyed the food but it just wasn’t something that agreed with my palette.
Rj Long
Been coming here for years after a chef I knew reccomended it. When I asked where a chef would eat, he said this is the place. It's incredible and on the need to know. Delicious, affordable, and a great people.
D CIII
I was in town for work and was so happy to find a place that provided home cooking like my wife makes. Excellent food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. Once the road construction out front gets completed, I'm sure it will get more traffic and be easier to park.
Mike Munoz
Love this place for its food and its authentic scene on a section of the Strip that is often looked over by tourists. Even my finicky coworker from the Midwest enjoyed trying multiple arepas, along with the wide selection of fruit drinks. Look forward to visiting again.
Kevin Ramirez
Best arepas ever!!!
After eating here, every time I go to Vegas now I need to have some arepas from here :)
Joel Kelly
A hidden gem in Las Vegas, super tasty grilled chicken, perfect fried plantains, great selection of fresh fruit drinks.
Mark Parker
First time trying arepas, very delicious and will visit again
S V
Wow, what a hidden gem. Just north of the Strat, this Venezuelan restaurant is just a quick ride on the Deuce double decker bus. Well worth it. Arepas are good size cornbread pockets with a wide variety of fillings, meat, and spices. Prices are very good as well. Fast service even on a busy lunch rush.
Anjenette Lee Nelson
I ordered a cold garlic shrimp arepas and a black bean empanada. The empanada was perfectly soft and warm. It melt are pas. I will be recommending that all my friends try this venesualan sandwich. Great location. Great food. Great prices
Brittney Smith
Delicious arepas and empanadas. The chicken was SO FLAVORFUL and the empanadas were perfectly fried golden brown...light & crispy even when having it delivered!
Young Wepa90
Try the Pernil with everything on it ... Food was very tasty the meat was cooked perfectly...
Moema Matsoso
This place is worth the trip off the strip. The food is delicious beef Arepas are delightful and flavorful. The cachapa was surprisingly excellent mix of savory and sweet. The passion fruit juice is the nectar of the God's.
Rachel Reed
Very good arepas. Great place to stop by.
Alex Chan
Amazing food, fresh, great service!
Jovic Snyder
We love this place!! We love the food; We love the people! We first met the owners when they were just a food truck. We were so excited when they opened the restaurant. Today we stopped by and they hv expanded to include
desserts!! Every time we are in Vegas,, this place is a must stop. Don't miss this place when you are in Vegas! They have the best arepas, pastelitos etc!
Cezsar Ramoss
Local joint, order at the counter and they call your order number. You have to clean after yourself. Very good prices. Food flavor right on. It's just the area is kind sketchy. But besides it's good.
Junita Caldwell
This is my new favorite place. They have this amazing cilantro sauce. It's one of those sauces you can put on anything and it taste amazing. I had the corn and cheese Arepas. So many good foods to choose from and great service. I can't wait to go back.
Chris Murphy
Very good food and worth the navigation through the construction. The carne is amazing and you could drink the verde and creme sauce they give you. It's open, it's clean and it's a nice cool place to eat amazing Arepas.
Jessica Roach
They always have the best food and even better service!! Extremely clean and safe to eat at! They definitely follow the health code and covid rules. When I got up I would pull up my mask and one time got up and then pulled my mask up and he said appreciate that no problem!
Banana Frog
So good!!! Loved the #13 and passion fruit drink. 100% recommend for exploring different foods. Affordable too!!
Bob Koby
Wow. Excellent food unlike anything I've had before. Similar to Mexican in a way but different flavors and dishes. We got a couple small things and shared a few "sandwiches". Everything was delicious and worth getting again. Would definitely recommend.
Itai Dagan
Good food but not more than that.
clara torres
The reviews were very accurate. My 1st time eating arepas and the are delicious.
Gustaf Gabriel
Every time we’re in Vegas, we visit here. Best authentic Venezuela food in Vegas! A must visit and on the outskirts of town. We used Uber there and back. Cachapa was out of this world, as well as the fried plantains. Friendly and family owned. I highly recommended this place.
Roneshia Turner
I love the food the service was fast and the atmosphere was authentic
R_ V_B
Great food, really good prices, and fast service. Easy to find location with parking. If you are tired of mediocre and expensive food on the Las Vegas strip, do yourself a favor and try this place. I had never had Venezuelan cuisine and I was absolutely not disappointed. There is a selection of a few fountain fruit juices that were delicious. They offer tasters of the juices to help you decide.
Mark Frangullie
Best Venezuelan cuisine in Vegas. We arrived a bit past noon. There was a line almost outside the door by the time we left.
Victoria Salavarria
My best friend and I stopped in here to use the restroom but quickly came to the decision that we’d definitely need to eat here as well. When you walk in, it smells awwwwesome so it was hard NOT to eat something. No regrets because it was tasty! Service was good, very affordable prices, and multiple vegetarian options to choose from. Thanks!
Corie Naugle
I am never disappointed with the food, service, or atmosphere! The chicken-avocado arepas is my favorite. Chef Felix has reason to be proud. Love the new expansion into next door. Yummy baked goods. Can't wait to go again.
Cyn Thia
Excellent cachapa!! Sweet corn - salty queso. Oh so yummy!
Pao Fig
We discovered this place about 10 years ago when it used to be just a small stand. The quality and taste of the food is so good this is always my first stop whenever I visit Vegas and I am happy to see how it grew into a big restaurant now.
Daniel Stoltz
Arepas are the heart of Venezuelan cuisine, and these guys make the most authentic ones you'll find in Nevada.
Miguel Maradey
Excellent piece of Venezuelan culinary art, nicely located at the northern end of Las Vegas strip, about 1000 feet from the Stratosphere, seems to me a well managed business with plenty of options, great food at reasonable prices, I ordered a dominos arepa, beef empanada and a tres en uno as a drink, unforgettable experience in my trip to Las Vegas
Bill Crawford
Excellent food, generous portions, good prices, and friendly service. I definitely want to come back here next time I am in town.
Martin Zaldivar
Quickly became one of my favorite spots. Amazing food and staff.
peter kariuki
Food is delicious and portions are great. The chicken was excellent and had that mesquite wood flavor. The 5 star reviews are legit and I hope this cafe expands and gets more customers.
Tasha Gonzales
Walking around places had very long waits. Walked by and saw no wait went inside to amassing aromas. So glad we happened upon this place. The Arepas was delicious! Stepped in next door for vanilla gelato. Definitely 5 stars and the customer service was exceptional
Hamid Velji
The Arepas were fantastic. Loved the empanadas. I ordered a passion fruit juice and it was amazing. Why get boring subs and sandwiches when you can get an arepa
SK M.
Best Arepas ever!
Meat is super tasty and tender.
Super delicious and seasoned well!
MF Outdoors
Always super delicious!! Order at the counter and they call your name/number. The Vegetarian and the #2 Chicken with Avocado are my go to. But everything is great. It's on the strip so there are always tourist and locals. Keep up the great Viva Las Arepas there's a ton of competition out there. Until next time!!!
Oscar Figueroa
Good food, prices and service
F R
This is a family owned business and definitely not a high budget place. If you want authentic arepas this is the place. The place was clean it just wasn't a new building and furniture. The staff was nice. If you have had a sweet tasting arepa and you're looking for that flavor you'll be disappointed. This is more of a traditional arepa, but if you've never had one you should go by and try it. They're good.
Sam K
Aperas , was quite good & empanada was Fresh and crispy.
Eric McDonald
Yum. The mesquite adds so much flavor that you won't replicate at home without making a project of it. Let these guys do it well for a bargain price. Service was friendly too. BBQ chicken and grilled beef arepa were both excellent. Wish I was hungrier to try more items.
Camilo Romero
Food was so good I didn't have time to take a picture. I had the beef shredded arepa and a cachapa with some passion fruit juice. My family enjoyed it so much we had to go back the next day for lunch!
Sansi Aray
The food is always good & they have desserts too. You can also buy corn meal mix that they use in the restaurant which i always buy when I'm there as you can't get it in the stores around town. Great service & always clean. You can watch them prepare the food behind a glass window. The bathrooms are clean as well which is important to me. My family has been coming here for years & is one of our favorite restaurants. Casual dress so just go as you are.
Yamile Rios
Every time that I visit Las Vegas I have to go to this place. Yesterday I went with my husband and our little one (first time for him) and the food is so fresh and delicious. Also the people is so kind and friendly. I recommend this place in Las Vegas. I wish they have a place in Los Ángeles. Thanks.
Sal Vastola
Nice restaurant, parking and access is a problem because of the ever-present road construction on Las Vegas Blvd. You can park on Casino Center behind the restaurant. Great employees and clean dining room.
Doraine Francisco
Food is ok, not bad just ok. We had Arepas and I must say if you are really hungry you should buy 2 since they are bagel sized. The juices were really tasty! That was the best part! We did not try the other dishes maybe they taste better than what we had. We also had ice cream and it was delicious! It is an ok place to come. We will be back prob to try a different thing
Sibi Sebastian
Excellent local spot that deserves a stop when in town. On the north end, in an industrial area, where you can tell they cater to mostly locals. One note: The food is dense and HEAVY, so I recommend ordering in stages, instead of all at once. You may have to wait a few mins in between orders, because everything is made fresh to order. Well worth it. Also a good place to share among a group (order multiple items and split them).
Cassandra Sanger
The food and the service are both wonderful at this establishment We really enjoyed the mixed grill My husband also had a chicken arepa. We will definitely be getting here again.
Mike Nay
So freakin good and delicious. I really like the sweet #13 and the #4 and #7 are my go to meat choices. The service is fast and friendly, and eating here will totally make your day. The taste is super authentic, and one of the big reasons I love this place so much is the amazing sugarcane juice and the plantains for dessert.
Laila Romero
The best place to eat in Vegas. If I'm passing by Vegas I'm definitely stopping by Viva Las Arepas for a shredded beef, the paballon and a reina pepiada, but they're all amazing! 1 arepa is pretty filling but if you're feeling greedy don't get more than two. Youll be stuffed by the time you get to the half of the second one.
misc2011
This was a great food experience. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. Right on the strip near the strat. Everyone should make an effort to try this Venezuelan cuisine.. They also have an Italian ice cream parlor built right in next door. What a great experience
Shimeka Simmons
Awesome gluten free food! I love the new updated patio added outside & the redesigned parking lot in front. More access to Phenomenal food!
Ana T
As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and great service. The food was delicious. The bathrooms were very clean and nice. We had a great time. The manager came over and thanked us for visiting this new location. We were worried because we have a one year old but everyone was so pleasant and attentive the whole time, we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for everything you guys are amazing!!
Melissa Isabel
This place is absolutely FANTASTIC. I order from here literally 2 times a week (more if i could) haha. The food is always fresh, and it tastes delicious! I hope the owner reads this, I recommend this place to everyone!! The black beans and rice are the best. As well as the chicken and empanadas! I cant say enough good things about this place. :D
Brian Murphy
Brilliant authentic Venezuelan food not far from the strip.
Steven Summers
Best food in vegas for the money!
Armando Mejia
Food quality is amazing, and staff are very positive and friendly. The wide range of food options is great as well. The only downside is the price is a little high but in return you get amazing food.
Jeff Saling
Delicious. Friendly staff. Wish the served beer too... but Dinos is right across the street.
Melinda Corbett
The arepas are amazing. Great prices and good service.
Ochena Prebble
I love Arepa's! The food is always tasty and the customer service is impeccable! Be mindful of going now (May 2021) that they are redoing the parking area in front so you have to park on the street behind them and walk around.
Eunice Bowens -Davis
Great food! Indoor dining and social distance is enforced. I love the setting ,especially looking out the glass window to watch the cars drive on Las Vegas Strip.
Doris Palacios
The food was amazing, it was fresh, tasty and good portion plates. The customer service was also good. I will rate their food 10 out of 10
Kris Earley
Absolutely wonderful!!! The shredded chicken arepas and the corn meal pancake with cheese were delicious. Highly recommend we will be back.
Joshua Plascencia
This is definitely a hidden gem in plain sight! I've never had Venezuelan food before. I was completely blown away with the mesquite smoked chicken arepa!! Nice decor and environment as well. Helpful staff!
Andres Pereyda
Great food, best yuca frita I've ever had, vegetarian arepa was bomb, sauces were great, nice people. This place is my new jam, since it's a 3 minute walk from my apartment!
Mayra Reyes
We ended up here after thinking about trying their competitor Pika Arepa Express. Always glad we come here.. This place always has great quality food. Had a #7 with 🍍 water. Also had the #13. I was hoping there would be a sweet sauce on top of the 🌽 like the sweet condensed milk or lechera to go with it, and so that it gives it that sweet flavor but it didn't. Overall, we always come here and will continue to come here for its delicious arepas.
Eddy Jimenez
First time u when you this place was great tasty food , this second time food was just to plain .
Eric
Definitely a solid place for lunch! These things are quite hefty and I think most will be satisfied with just one of these bad boys. My favorite two are the cold chicken salad, and tripe! They come out smoking hot and fresh, so careful for burns!
Food comes out fast, and their fresca are really refreshing.
Minus two stars for no air conditioning and fan-only in the restaurant...
Malcolm LaVergne
I'm a very harsh food critic. I cook all the time, and I know great food and mediocre food and terrible food. This place is phenomenal! The meats all were cooked properly, juicy and properly seasoned. The sauces were light and refreshing, and even some small like the salad was made of fresh romaine lettuce and topped with a wonderful dressing. A great find near my office for lunch, and insanely cheap for what you get in return.
Omer Mohammed (LeoKan)
Very good authentic latina food, the service is quick and great
The Matrix
I've eaten just about everything on the menu and I must say that the salt content used on the food is massive. Too much salt is used. So I just order the sweet tasting items instead. I've spoken with the owner and his wife several times and they are nice people. I feel that whomever is preparing the foods need to cut back on the salt. I brought 4 of my friends to eat here as well and they give $10. TIPS. They eat here often. So one day I ordered my usual lunch order and I went to pay for it using my debit card, the cashier rudely told me that I never tip enough!. Are you kidding me?!! Do she know how many people I have brought to this place that I have seen tip more than the bill total??. So there goes 5 cutomers lost. How rude of her we ate there a few times per week.
Leslie Bueno
Arepas are sooo good! Definitely add the cheese and avocado to them.
Richard Patrino
The food was good, I had the chicken arepa and beef rice empanada they were delicious. Definitely coming back for more.
Kyle Tacsik
Absolutely amazing off-the-strip Venezuelan food. Try everything - we've never been disappointed visiting here and have brought many friends to try the food as well. While there is great food on the strip and some food that is not the best and perhaps mediocre imitations, this is the real deal and it is not that expensive. Highly recommend!
José Chavarri
Incredible flavors really good election.
Daniel Fuss
Really great food . The staff is wonderful. The staff is always.cleaning up after them selves on the line
Then when a guest leaves they are cleaning the table an area around right away.
Jimmy Lembcke
These folks have mastered Chicken!!!
We are always looking for Ketosis friendly restaurants. This was our second visit. With all the amazing restaurants here... this is easy in easy out.... friendly staff. They have a large variety of other stuff ...but you are on your own for that.... 50 carbs a day makes my taste buds a little more picky than they used to be... good place to Star on your maps....
Jon Ostler
My mother is from Venezuela and these are all dishes she makes. Although they where different on how they were made this is now probably one of my favorite places to eat at when I'm missing moms cooking. If you have never had this kind of food before it's amazing try it out.
iris bee
Open bright and clean. Friendly helpful staff to help walk through the menu. The food is mad fresh and is super flavorful. The menu is pretty much Gluten free. I had the #3 shredded beef was amazing! Like a grown up sloppy joe. #13 fresh corn and cheese was insanely good. A perfect balance of sweet corn and salty cheese. Try the little guava and cheese empenada thing. So good. Don't forget the fresh juice as well!
Cheston Tang
Really great place for lunch. Clean and the food was delicious, staff was helpful when I was trying to order for my family when it was our first time there. Will definitely be back!
Emily S
DELICIOUS!! My husband lived in Venezuela, and he said it's very authentic and well done. My kids have never tried anything like that before and loved it. Arepas are all very good, specialty juices delicious, and I'm still dreaming of that cachapa . . .
Hernan Padron
I will come back for more!Delicious
Matthew Archer
First time ever eating Venezuelan food, couldn't ask for a better place to try it at! They have a wide variety of options for both regular food as well as desserts. I had the shredded beef and carnitas arepas and was definitely not disappointed.
Suhas Etigunta
Beef arepa was great. The chicken empanada was alright. The sauces are amazing.
Wallace Shao
The pork ribs and beef are incredible
Ribs, the meat will literally just fall off the bone and dissolve in your mouth. I don't think I've ever had ribs so tender, and very good flavor without having to be drowned in sauce
The beef was really good to. Super tender as well, and it wasn't stringy at all. It looks like it's well done but it's very soft and tender, in a very good way.
I'm probably doing a terrible job of describing how good it is, so go try for yourself. The only thing you'll regret is not trying them sooner
Dominik Satory
Super nice staff and excellent food! The arepas look small but you'll get stuffed with two of them. It's just hard to decide which two you should try! Wood fired beef and roasted pork butt are my favorites.
Kyla Jones
Amazing arepas!! Don't miss out on the yucca. Fresh, hot, and crunchy- everything you'd want from fried yucca. Can't recommend this spot enough!
索伦
Everything we tried was good. If I went back I'd consider the grilled mean because they had a good deal on chicken
David McKinney
I would add pictures but the food was so good we forgot to take some. The wood-fired flavor takes these arepas from delicious to one of the best things ever. Do not sleep on the #13 sweet corn and cheese, a delicious sweetcorn cake griddled in butter and folded over melted cheese.
Brian Begay
This was my first time eating there so I choose something very typical. I suggest for your first time the Shredded chicken and add some avocado no cheese for me. It was a great choice and for a side I got fried plantains everything was perfect with a nice flavored drinks they offer.
Heather Munroe
The first time I brought my wife to Vegas in 2014, we passed this shop while we were on the bus, and she wanted so badly to try it. I was somewhat reticent, as I’m not the world’s biggest fan of Latin cuisine (an understatement.) Of course, I’d never had Venezuelan cuisine before, but I just assumed my opinions would be the same.
Well, I was wrong. I was very wrong. We came to Viva Las Arepas in 2016 and we were both blown away at the extraordinary flavors of this food. I remember sitting in the booth in a stupor, wondering what had just happened to my taste buds and why it took me so long to agree to come here.
Earlier this year, when we were discussing where to go on vacation, I mentioned we could go to Vegas and get Viva Las Arepas. Well, that was all it took. So here we are, sitting in the same booth, stuffed solid, wondering what the hell happened to our taste buds and why it took us so long to come back.
If you are in Vegas, make it a part of your trip to come to Viva Las Arepas. Order the plantains with cheese and the Reina Pepiada. But really any choice on the menu is a good choice. Just try it. Trust me. You will not be disappointed.
Elizabeth Romjue
So good!! Definitely eat here again!!
Carin Whitaker
Outstanding Arepas! Super sweet cashier...recommended a chicken Arepas that was a bit like chicken salad...brought out house made jalapeno sauce...it was delicious. The arepas was light and moist inside with the perfect crisp outer crust...served hot off the griddle with the chicken stuffed inside...quite delicious. I would highly recommend this unassuming little Venezuelan restaurant in a strip plaza just beyond the Stratosphere casino.
Dina Finato
Fantastic place. Thick round corn bread lightly fried filled with meat or veg options. Mild creamy salsa and green salsa with a kick on the side. Definitely try the juices and consider yucca fries with chicharones. Bring friends and try everything!
Kevin Coleman
Amazing Arepas, Cachapas and Tequenos! Con Frescolita! Everytime we come to Las Vegas, we need to make it to this place. It's also very clean and the service is so friendly. I hope one day they open up in Orange County so I don't have to drive 6 hours just to have my Arepas y Cachapas y Tequenos!!!!
Victoria Myers
The food tastes so good! The arepas are different but delicious. They have empanadas and they deep fry them so the outside is all crunchy Definitely coming back again and I recommend this place if you're looking for authentic food!
Vin Whinnery
Excellent quality and authentic. Load up on the garlic sauce and Verde to really hit the spot!
Matthew Schuster
This food was fabulous and the staff was very friendly and very quick. I wanted to try everything on the menu but I stuck to the standard food. Get here cause the food is good.
Dale Nasser
What a great place to eat! Stopped by for a late lunch with the family while out and about. The food was fresh and very tasty. The man behind the counter was great! He was patient and explained the different types of Venezuelan food to us. It's located just North of the Stratosphere. Enjoy...!
Hannah Ramelot
A little hole-in-the-wall, hidden jewel, Mexican restaurant, off the Strip. The food and drink choices are numerous, so there's something for everyone. The service is quick and friendly. The food is tasty - fried yucca, fried plantains, coffee, sweet and unsweetened tea, both traditional and non-traditional arepas, plus many other choices from breakfast through dinner for both food and drink. The parking is a little sparse, so be aware of open parking in the surrounding area. There is also an outdoor, covered patio with seating, if you prefer sitting in the fresh air.
Gabriel Gillogly
Wood fired meats and Venezuelan hand made bread. The price might scare you off, 7 bucks for a sandwich. But you dont get this quality anyware for 7 bucks. Real wood fired grills and ovens. My favorite was the pork butt. It was juicy and flavorful. The beef was good but not as good as the pork. It's a quick bite with authentic flavor. I love the place not too spicy but tons of flavor.
Laura Rivera
I never taste before but 100% i am back
Yvonne
Quick and friendly service. Food is delivered quickly and is sold at a fair price. The portions are more filling than I expected. The fried yucca was great, although a bit salty, I'd recommend the shredded chicken arepa over the pernil (pork) one. Use the avocado green sauce on the yucca and you won't be disappointed.
frankie lee
ZOMG! Their cilantro sauce 11/10. Slosh it over arepas and cachapas. Wish they were still open till midnight like pre-COVID
Khris Escobar
Customer service great! The food was good taste! only I feel a little expensive :(
Shilpa Shrestha
This was the first time we've ever had Venezuelan food. Staffs were the nicest people. The food (Arepas) is just to die for. We came to this place two days in a row because it was just that good. Absolutely love it.
Ana Aguilar
Excellent attention. I recommend tha cachapas with cheese and chicharrons..
Morgan Hunter
My family was visiting Las Vegas, grabbing a quick bite to eat in the local In-n-Out. The owner made friendly conversation with me while waiting for our burgers. I explained I was from Kansas City, and he encouraged me to bring my whole family and stop by his restaurant for lunch! We then did so, all ordered from their menu (which had many yummy and different choices that satisfied my parents down to my youngest brother) and all ordered lunch and drinks for about 40 dollars for a family of six! Line moved very quickly and food came out fast. When the owner recognized us he was super friendly, and greeted my whole family, then brought us out a delicious Venezuelan dessert on the house. Great place and great people. Wish we had one of these in Kansas City!!
Donna Tucker
This is a great find!!! We were trying to experience as much food as possible in Vegas. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we needed help in making a decision on what to eat. The sandwiches were delicious and the coconut and cheese pastry was outstanding.
Katie Christenson
I had the wood grilled chicken with fries. The meat was tender and juicy with awesome flavor!!! Very clean and friendly atmosphere
Jet “The Jet”
Taste is true flavor, I have had from my Venezuelan friends, the Parchita juice is great and the empanadas and tequeño where great
Cherille Erby
I miss the sweets tho - awesome food 🥝
Canadian Rocky
Authentic Venezuelan food. I loved their mixed grill. Staff are nice and courteous. This is a well known place for locals and a must for tourists. Still on the Las Vegas Boulevard, easy to find. This place can easily get packed. They have outside seating if you're OK with the honking and smoke of Vegas cars. Ample parking in front and back of the restaurant. I'll be back when I visit Vegas. Muchas Gracias!
Winter Wolf
Look. All I've had is the half chicken with black beans and plantains... 3 of the 3 times that I've been there. It is without a doubt, a bomb a$$ plate of food. I don't say this lightly. Try. It.
Ashley Mae Morris
Everyone's favorite!!!
The cheese masa thing that I can't remember it's name, is so good. Obviously great Arepas, but their Empanadas are also so good. One of my fave cheap tasty meals is the two piece of their delicious wood fired chicken, and rice, and then soak the whole mess in their green sauce. Yummmmm!!!!
Andrew Pearson
Delicious food and fair prices. Also, the fresh fruit juices are a delight! I highly recommend this place to folks looking to get away from the Strip (and the Strip's prices) for food, or just to anyone who wants some delicious eats.
Noemi Rodriguez
I had the pork arepa and sweet plantains. The pork was out of this world amazing. They put their foot in it, it was so freakin' good!!! I'd give more stars if I could! I'm not from Venezuela but I felt the pride as they represent with deliciousness. Worth the trip to Las Vegas.
Carol Munroe
I have never had anything but Arepas and plantains here because they’re SO GOOD that I never get around to the rest of the menu. If you go with a friend, make sure to trade bites, because it’s all tasty. The Cachapa and Reina Pepiada are especially good and the sugar cane & lime drink goes perfectly with the food.
tess siegmeier
One of my absolute favorite places to eat in the city, regardless of the occasion. Excellent quality food, fresh cooked, great selection, friendly service... Never had a bad experience in the years I've been coming here!
Marcie witham
Gluten free daughter loved it!! Fast service for being busy.
Robert McGovern
This is easily my favorite place to eat in the Las Vegas metro area. Get the vegetarian and ask them to add plantain. Thank me later. That aside, all of the food is phenomenal and the staff is super friendly. I would choose this place over anywhere else 10 out of 10 times.
Ravikiran G
This is a great Venezuelan restaurant between Stratosphere and downtown. I had no clue what an arepa was but it tasted delicious. Tried all the chef's recommendations including "Reina Pepiada" and they didn't disappoint. Fried plantains were good too. The price is decent but can get expensive with the upgrades.
wasel lambert
This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and delicious Venezuelan foods. We love to get the arepas because my husband lived in Venezuela for two years and has fond memories of the arepas; these do not disappoint!! Arepas are little masa bread pockets filled with a savory shredded beef, chicken or beans, solo or with a side of plantain and a drizzle of hot green sauce or cilantro sauce. ¡Buen provecho!
Don Patterson
Excellent tasting Venezuelan spot and taste better than some of the ones I’ve tried in Miami. If your in the area or live in Las Vegas this is worth trying! I highly recommend the tequeños and cachapas.
Shiven Patel
The best food i had while i was there. Have to wait a while to get the food so order online. But it was worth the hour of wait.
Linda Viera
I'm local here and whenever I go see a show at my brother's theater on Main Street, I always pass by here and was curious about the food. Well a friend ate there and raved about their wood-fire chicken. I finally stopped and I was not disappointed. There is a variety of things on the menu, but the chicken is phenomenal. I always order a whole chicken to go and use it for eats during the weeks. I have a friend in town now, and after the show, this will be our stop for dinner.
911eVoX
Awesome experience. Staff is great and welcoming. Food is great and unique. Never tried an arepa before and it was delicious. The cheesy breadstick was great as well. Definitely worth trying if you are staying nearby
India Nieuwendam
The smoked chicken is amazing. They don't skimp on the carne😀. Great prices, friendly staff, (especially Alice!). Happen to run across this place while scouting the strip. Was in Vegas for 5 days ,ate lunch there 3 days. Highly recommend Viva Las Arepas. Will surely go back when in Vegas …
Andrea Themely
This place was amazing and really reasonably priced! I recommend #7 and #12. But I’m sure they’re all really good. I went there yesterday and actually came all the way back today because I had to get another meal there.
Humberto Pineda
Really good and tasty. For sure will be back.
Ben C
Great food and awesome service. I like the fire grilled steak arepas. If you're every in Vegas, make sure to set aside time to come here. It's one of Vegas unique food places.
A10fanatic
Shout out to Toni. I love this establishment for several reasons. 1.The food is extremely appetizing, 2.It's kept immaculate. 3.All food servers wear hairnets, I haven't seen that in years, I want to savor their food not their hair, more restaurants need to implement hairnets.
Ashton Harvey
We stop here every time we are in Vegas. This is our favorite Arepas place in the world. The corn tortillas are amazing, the queso is perfect, and their juices are so fresh. Definitely a must for anyone in the area who wants something more interesting than the typical strip fare.
M Lopez
I have never tried Arepas before a d after going to this place I am now in love with them! They place is amazing!!! The have the most delicious Arepas and empanadas ever! You MUST try this place I even went twice in one day Breakfast and Dinner because I couldn't get enough of them! Just delicious!!! 👍👍👍👍 …
Tommy Chang
Great food, ask cashier for recommendations if you're unsure of what to get. Spicy wings are great and Hot!!
mica moon (Mica)
So goood! I had their gluten-free arepas and fried plantains. I recommend this spot if your looking to try something different. This was my second time visiting this year and prices are not bad at all. Happy eating! 😁 …
raymon X
Best Arepas in Nevada, close to the main LV attractions.
Greg C
Good place to eat, not my favorite but I'm a bad person to judge as I grew up on processed foods! Would I come here on my own, probably not but I definitely would take/bring my Latin friends! I liked their chicken empanada and their beef arepa.
Amber Thibodeau
Absolutely delicious chicken. Arepas are very good. Green cilantro sauce is the best, there is no such thing as enough. Perfect to grab a bite by yourself, or for the whole family. There's even a changing table in the bathroom.
Nicklause Saints
I've never tried Venezuelan food before but the food here was phenomenal! Highly recommended to food junkies like myself. Because they don't serve you large meals, multiple orders will satisfy all of your cravings!!!
Elliott Saintil
Very good flavor, food is awesome here. When I come to Vegas this is one of the spots I like to visit.
C Bell
Delicious and good vibes and good portions
Andrew C
*Thumbs up*
I've tried my fair share of arepas from various places, and this place has one of the better corn meal bun. It was super airy, fluffy, and had just the right amount of flavor so that it didn't detract from the filling. I had the shredded beef arepa, and I thought it was great on its own. With one of the two sauces, especially the spicy one, it just took it up another notch
*Thumbs down*
Location is away north of the Strip, so not really walkable. But if you have car and you're looking for off-Strip good eats, this place should be on your list.
Nikhil Shelke
A friend recommended this place and glad we checked it out. This place is a hidden gem. Excellent food, never had arepas and now it's one of my favorites thanks to you! Highly recommend of you are visiting
Julie Roos
Cachapa is one of my Top 10 comfort foods, and sugarcane juice is one of my Top 10 comfort drinks. So, this place is one of my Top 10 comfort places. You can order ahead directly from their website, so remember to do that rather than the third party places, too!
Mariana Marcuse
Delicious! Beware: the tequeños are muuuuuch bigger than you expect. I ordered 4 not realizing how big they are, and now I guess I have leftovers for later. Definitely try the Reina Pepiada arepa! So so good. If you're still hungry, snag a cachapa. Quesillo for dessert, so come hungry.
Adrian Lomeli
I was hungry and I didn't know what to eat my friend suggested we est at Jimmy John's and I said, " how about we try something new?" "Have you tried Venezuelan food?", she replied. I said, "no" so we went, we ate, and I was completely satisfied! My gosh it was delicious!
GALILEO devito
The people are so kind and welcoming and know the menu like the back of their hand! The food was new to me, but delicious and I do not regret my stay here one bit! ♡ Comforting place with amazing food and beautiful people :)
Sean Edison-Albright
Perfect dinner, super friendly staff. By all means make sure you try this place out. We had the vegetarian arepa, shredded wood fired chicken arepa, and shredded beef empanada. Tender, perfectly cooked and delicious.
Mike Morton
Delicious food and very reasonable prices. We checked it out after spending the evening downtown and on Fremont Street. It was worth the stop. The person who served us was very helpful and offered explanations and suggestions. The food was very good. The plantains and fried yuca root were fantastic sides to the arepas. Worth the Uber/Lyft from the strip. If I was a local I'd eat here all the time.
Raj C
Having been unfamiliar with Venezuelan food, we were unsure of what to expect before we headed out to Viva Las Arepas. Thankfully, this gamble paid off! Arepas are some of the most delicious things that I have tried, and I simply couldn't get enough of it! The staff over here at Viva Las Arepas were patient and helpful, taking the time to explain the dish and go over how they prepare your food. The dish itself is succulent, and the sauces provided with the Arepas makes for a delectable combination.
Considering that this is on the strip and costs so little, you'd be hard pressed to find something better. If you are still unsure, just try this place - you will not regret it!
Sean Moraffah
The Arepas here are to die for. I've tried 3 different ones so far and all have been excellent. The mango juice is good too! If you are in Vegas and don't stop here for at least one meal, you are truly missing out.
Gayle Princess Diolazo
Definitely used to be regulars here because it is so good. Now that we've moved this place is at the top of our list when we come back. Workers always explain items if you are unsure and their sauce is amazing. You can put it on everything!
Kerwin Wong
Arepas were excellent as expected. Crispy on the outside and tender cornmeal on the inside. Fillings were very nice. We also tried the grilled meats and the mesquite was evident and nice.

Brilliant Venezuelan food; staff are friendly; excellent value for money; parking available right outside the restaurant; overall great experience; very knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac disease

The food was nice. My first time at a Venezuelan restaurant. Try the Empanada, and the banana thing. The coconut water was also nice(a bit too sweet) Their main specialty was nice to begin with, but a bit boring near the end.

Food is good and girls really nice. Just not entirely venezuelan flavor. The place is a bit too simple but I guess that it's a style choice.

Venezuelan food in Las Vegas? Why not try! The food is just too good! The Cachapas and Empanadas are a must eat! Vegetarians do not have too many food options in international cuisines. But I was wrong in this case. So many varieties of veg and non-veg food. Excellent customer service. The owner was at the counter and was really friendly. The place looks great inside but not so appealing on the outside.
